This article puts forward object-oriented Petri net modeling method, which possesses good encapsulation and modularity compared with current ordinary modeling method. On the macro level, it divides the re-entrant lines into different object modules according to the technology, so that the complexity of models is largely reduced through message delivery between objects. In the micro level, it explains objects' internal operational mechanism, in another word, each object's internal operation cannot be affected by other objects and environment. At last, it makes modeling and dynamic analysis by taking LED chips' processing flow for example, showing that re-entrant lines model based on object-oriented Petri net possesses good modeling ability.

Abstract The study is dedicated to High Level Architecture (HLA) standard for software architecture of interoperable distributed simulations. The paper discusses the differences between object-oriented programming and HLA. It presents an extended simulation architecture providing a mechanism for HLA data exchange through Object-Oriented (OO) objects. This eliminates the complex network programming for HLA distributed simulations. The paper shows a sample code that implements the architecture for OO HLA/RTI simulation.

Background difference method [1] is one of the effective paths of improving robot’s vision reaction ability, and robots use background difference method to find the moving object in vision range and conduct tracking monitoring of moving objects. Then it uses support vector to conduct learning fitting of moving object, which can effectively predict the moving trend of moving object, and then it fabricates corresponding decision programs to conduct intercept capture of moving objects.

The phrase ‘the object of history’ may mean all sorts of things. In this article, a distinction is made between object1, the object of study for historians, and object2, the goal or purpose of the study of history. Within object2, a distinction is made between a goal intrinsic to the study of history (object2in) and an extrinsic goal (object2ex), the latter being what the study of history should contribute to society (or anything else outside itself). The main point of the article, which is illustrated by a discussion of the work of R. G. Collingwood, E. H. Carr, and G. R. Elton, is that in the work of historians and philosophers of history, these kinds of ‘object of history’ are usually (closely) connected. If they are not, something is wrong. That does not mean, however, that historians or even philosophers of history are always aware of these connections. For that reason, the distinctions made in this article provide a useful analytical tool for historians and theorists of history alike.

Object detection is a computer technology related to computer vision and image processing that deals with detecting instances of semantic objects of a certain class (such as humans, buildings, or cars) in digital images and videos. In this domain of object detection, it includes many detecting methods , such as face detection and also pedestrian detection. Object detection has applications in huge areas of computer vision, which includes image retrieval, video surveillance. Deep Neural methods in object detection using one-stage processes generally include di erent versions of YOLO and SSD. The paper which we are publishing here we are comparing some the image detection algorithms. In this project we are going to develop a system for visually impaired people for assisting them in their daily work and give them a free life.

ABSTRACTObservational/correlational research has established that children in stage 5 object permanence development use words that refer to the visible movement of objects, while it is not until stage 6 that they use words referring to the invisible movement of objects (e.g. gone). It is not clear, however, whether the cognitive competence evidenced by performance in the object permanence task is a prerequisite for these linguistic productions or whether they both emerge simultaneously from some underlying representation. The current study used a lexical training paradigm to teach object words, visible movement words, and invisible movement words to children at stage 5 and stage 6 object permanence development. Stage 6 children learned all three types of words equally well. Stage 5 children learned object and visible movement words, especially in comprehension, but did not learn the invisible movement word. These results indicate that the cognitive structures underlying performance in the object permanence task are genuine prerequisites for learning these types of words.

Object-oriented analysis is the activity of understanding a problem domain and developing a specification for it within an object-oriented paradigm. In this paper we propose object-oriented analysis can be viewed as a design task that consists of analysis, synthesis and internal and external completeness and consistency checking. We postulate a blackboard based design framework and propose several alternative theories within this framework. Data from an expert analyst is collected and analyzed for relative explanatory power of the alternative theories. Basic findings are that viewed as a design activity, object-oriented analysis is neither top-down nor completely opportunistic in nature, Rather, (1) analysis (the process of finding objects and processes) and synthesis (constructing the object model and state-transition diagrams) are complementary activities while internal completeness and consistency checking is coupled with synthesis and (2) construction of objects and processes are cyclic and complementary processes. The findings are compared with both descriptive and normative research in automated software design.

A dynamic image has a distinct quantity of object movement from one to another. It can be any object such as a car, person, an object moving from one point X to another point Y. Image consists of a sense of movement. Applications of object tracking are biometrics tracking, AR uses, video surveillance, passage monitoring, vehicle navigation, etc. Challenges in tracking multifaceted objects are fast movement, geometric conversion, blurring, messy background, artifacts, etc. To resolve this problem by merge all small features with nearby texture features. Texture feature describes the plane space and configuration of an area. A mixture of color and texture feature improves the object details and to increase the strength of the object's illustration. In Existing methods such as binary pattern method all object features are removed, so it is difficult to predict the exact pixel movement. The proposed method of improved binary pattern is also tracking the small changes in the pixel difference in one frame to other. Compared with the existing algorithms, IBP method measures the spatial arrangement of local image texture which reduces the overall processing cost and improves the strength of objective image. To track the similarities and difference of the object in each and every frame efficiently and effectively Improved Local Binary Pattern tracking algorithm was proposed. This proposed technique is an effective way to analysis complicated real time situations compared with other methods.

Object detection is widely used in the world of sports, its users including training staff, broadcasters and sports fans. Neural network based classifiers are used together with other object detection techniques. The aim of this study was to explore the modern open source based solutions for object detection in sports, in this case for detecting football players. TensorFlow Object Detection API, an open source framework for object detection related tasks, was used for training and testing an SSD (Single-Shot Multibox Detector) with Mobilenet- model. The model was tested as a) pre-trained and b) with fine-tuning with a dataset consisting of images extracted from video footage of two football matches. Following hypotheses were examined: 1) Pre-trained model will not work on the data without fine-tuning. 2) Fine-tuned model will work reasonably well on the given data. 3) Fine-tuned model will have problems with occlusion and players pictured against the rear wall. 4) Using more variable training data will improve results on new images. The results of this study indicate that: 1) The pre-trained model was useless for detecting players in the test images. 2) A fine-tuned model worked reasonably well. 3) Problem areas were players in clusters and/or pictured against the rear wall. 4) A model trained with data from one game was able to detect players in footage from another game. The overall model performance did not much improve by training the model with data from two games. Other model types (such as Faster R-CNN model) should be tested on the data
Kohteentunnistusta käytetään yleisesti urheilumaailmassa, mm. valmennuksessa, televisiolähetyksissä sekä fanikäytössä. Neuroverkkoihin perustuvia menetelmiä käytetään yhdessä muiden tekniikoiden kanssa. Tämän tutkimuksen päämäärä oli tarkastella moderneja avoimen lähdekoodin ratkaisuja kohteentunnistukseen urheilussa, tässä tapauksessa jalkapalloilijoiden tunnistuksessa. TensorFlow Object Detection API perustuu avoimeen lähdekoodiin ja tarjoaa työkaluja kohteentunnistukseen. Sen avulla opetettiin ja testattiin SSD (Single-Shot Multibox Detector) with Mobilenet- mallia sekä a) valmiiksi treenattuna että b) hienosäädettynä aineistolla, joka koostui kahdesta jalkapallo-otteluvideosta poimituista kuvista. Työssä tarkasteltiin seuraavia hypoteeseja: 1) Valmiiksi opettettu malli ei toimi ilman hienosäätöä omalle aineistolle. 2) Hienosäädetty malli toimii kohtuullisen hyvin omalle aineistolle. 3) Hienosäädetyllä mallilla on ongelmia toisensa peittävien tai takaseinää vasten kuvattujen pelaajien tunnistamisessa. 4) Mallin opettaminen vaihtelevammalla aineistolla parantaa tuloksia uudenlaisia esineitä tunnistettaessa.

This thesis is a study on object-oriented knowledge representation. The study defines the main concepts of the object model. It also shows pragmatically the use of object-oriented methodology in the development of a concrete software system designed as the solution to a specific problem. The problem is to simulate the interaction between several animals and various other objects that exist in a room. The proposed solution is an artificial intelligence (Al) program designed according to the object-oriented model, which closely simulates objects in the problem domain. The AI program is conceived as an inference engine that maps together a given knowledge base with a database. The solution is based conceptually on the five major elements of the model, namely abstraction, encapsulation, modularity, hierarchy, and polymorphism. The study introduces a notation of class diagrams and frames to capture the essential characteristics of the system defined by analysis and design. The solution to the problem allows the application of any object-oriented programming language. Common Lisp Object System (CLOS) is the language used for the implementation of the software system included in the appendix.

Der volle Inhalt der Quelle
Annotation:
My research project explores conventions in art-making and viewing via the notion of the performative art object. The performative (derived from J.L. Austin and Judith Butler’s formulations of the word) is here used predominantly as a term to denote a generative, experiential and iterative process (in this case outlined by art theorist Barbara Bolt) in which intuitive or playful actions of both artist and spectator dictate the route of research. The project, following an A/r/tographical cycle of theoriapraxis-poesis (or theory/research - doing/learning - art/making) as defined by Rita Irwin, thus investigates the relations inherent between artists, spectators or viewers, and objects, and how these may change according to the spaces they are conceived in; from art gallery to urban “non-art” environments. It deals with the inclusion of process or performativity within, or in relation to the art object and how this take on the traditionally static object may have the capacity to change how artworks are envisaged, and more significantly, how they are received, in terms of the effects they (in combination with the viewer) have on the world around them. Blurred in the context of performativity, the art object may become a means of documenting process and in a sense may act as a ‘prop’ for artistic research. This enquiry has involved the study of process and play, as related to creative practice, via a series of object-based events or interventions (including gallery exhibitions and other “non-art” events initiated by the artist outside of conventional art-related space) which have been documented and included in the theoretical research as a means of providing a first-hand narrative of theoretical ideas put into practice. Here Diana Taylor’s understanding of interrelated modes of storing and enacting knowledge as posed in the notion of the archive and repertoire has been utilised as a means of collecting and collating performative and ephemeral research. These events/interventions have further served as a means of gauging viewer interaction and participation, thus actively involving the viewer in the creative act. Jacques Rancière’s notion of the emancipated spectator is here utilised to activate the role of the viewer. In this regard, Martin Heidegger’s concept of handiness or handling serves as a means of “emancipating” spectators by encouraging tactile viewership. It is my intent to open up or reveal new modes of thinking or doing within the viewer when he or she enters a state of performative play within these events. Here the status of the art object is challenged and in this way has the potential to subvert or confront problematic repetitions, both in the identity of the viewer and the space occupied in each event.

Fixed-object crashes have long time been considered as major roadway safety concerns. While previous relevant studies tended to address such crashes in the context of roadway departures, and heavily relied on police-reported accidents data, this study integrated the SHRP2 NDS and RID data for analyses, which fully depicted the prior to, during, and after crash scenarios. A total of 1,639 crash, near-crash events, and 1,050 baseline events were acquired. Three analysis methods: logistic regression, support vector machine (SVM) and artificial neural network (ANN) were employed for two responses: crash occurrence and severity level. Logistic regression analyses identified 16 and 10 significant variables with significance levels of 0.1, relevant to driver, roadway, environment, etc. for two responses respectively. The logistic regression analyses led to a series of findings regarding the effects of explanatory variables on fixed-object event occurrence and associated severity level. SVM classifiers and ANN models were also constructed to predict these two responses. Sensitivity analyses were performed for SVM classifiers to infer the contributing effects of input variables. All three methods obtained satisfactory prediction performance, that was around 88% for fixed-object event occurrence and 75% for event severity level, which indicated the effectiveness of NDS event data on depicting crash scenarios and roadway safety analyses.

Firstly we put forward an object function control method and guideline, by which we can control the Function of object when we cannot control object itself. In such a case object function control will be beneficial to us forever and without any harm especially when armament system and high harm are used improperly. Then we use it to improve functions of the system and get safer methods so as to establish an integrated safeguard system, and the functions of the system and a more solid human security and stability in the establishment of the strategy, to create an integrated world of justice and peace in the security system. The object function control (constraint) includes: Main body control, Guest body control and Established body object control. Based on the goal of we can control the Function of object when we cannot control object itself, it showed a new technological means of the democracy, freedom, and peace of world. Based on the method of object function control, a new technical mode can be presented, which provides measures dealing with difficult problems (Such as to fight against the evil of the world and the international terrorism, safeguard the human justice and peace) and acceptable to many countries (Union) and becomes their strong support.

Annotation:
Inconsistent and unacceptable probability of detection (PD) and false alarm rates (FAR) due to varying environmental conditions hamper buried object detection. A 4-month study evaluated the environmental parameters impacting standoff thermal infra-red(IR) detection of buried objects. Field observations were integrated into a model depicting the temporal and spatial thermal changes through a 1-week period utilizing a 15-minute time-step interval. The model illustrates the surface thermal observations obtained with a thermal IR camera contemporaneously with a 3-d presentation of subsurface soil temperatures obtained with 156 buried thermocouples. Precipitation events and subsequent soil moisture responses synchronized to the temperature data are also included in the model simulation. The simulation shows the temperature response of buried objects due to changes in incoming solar radiation, air/surface soil temperature changes, latent heat exchange between the objects and surrounding soil, and impacts due to precipitation/changes in soil moisture. Differences are noted between the thermal response of plastic and metal objects as well as depth of burial below the ground surface. Nearly identical environmental conditions on different days did not always elicit the same spatial thermal response.

Великодна, Мар’яна Сергіївна. Psychoanalytic Study on Psychological Features of Young Men «Millionaires» in Modern Provincial Ukraine. Theory and Practice of Modern Psychology, 2020. http://dx.doi.org/10.31812/123456789/3873.

Annotation:
The article is based on three cases of private psychoanalytic work with successful businessmen from central and northern parts of Ukraine. The research methodology was psychoanalytic theories devoted to the unconscious meanings of money and the role of money in the psychoanalytic setting, including object theory, drive theory, psychosexual development theory, narcissism theory, Oedipus complex, transference and resistance. What presents the interest of this study are the cases when those who grew up in poverty finally obtains such a desired object — money, wealth, however, something unconscious hinders this person to get satisfied by it and even to admit obtaining it. The presented clinical work was conducted as classic psychoanalysis in person with different duration: 5, 10 and 46 months. Men were asked to tell whatever comes to mind: thoughts, memories, dreams, phantasies, feelings etc. The role of psychoanalyst was to hear specific connections between patient’s stories and to analyze them together with the patient. The cases presented highlight several psychological features of young men «millionaires» who suffer from their own success. 1. Sensitivity to Father’s (real or symbolic) acceptance of their business and financial success. 2. Activation of unconscious Oedipus complex and Complex of castration because of the risk to dethrone the Father in reality, with experiences of guilt, fear and expectation of punishment. 3. Projection of their own envy, hate, wish to avenge and killing phantasies into external objects (friends, partners, psychoanalyst) with building individual defensive strategies from them. These psychological features were associated not only with suffering and psychopathological symptoms but also with impossibility to continue business development. In addition, the cases analyzed in the article show some difficulties in building business connected with the generations gap. Fathers from the USSR or the 90s teach their sons to act in the way that is not relevant for successful careers nowadays. This latent or manifested struggle between generations may be an important factor in abovementioned psychological features.

The article deals with the analysis of the impact of the using AR technology in the study of a foreign language by university students. It is stated out that AR technology can be a good tool for learning a foreign language. The use of elements of AR in the course of studying a foreign language, in particular in the form of virtual excursions, is proposed. Advantages of using AR technology in the study of the German language are identified, namely: the possibility of involvement of different channels of information perception, the integrity of the representation of the studied object, the faster and better memorization of new vocabulary, the development of communicative foreign language skills. The ease and accessibility of using QR codes to obtain information about the object of study from open Internet sources is shown. The results of a survey of students after virtual tours are presented. A reorientation of methodological support for the study of a foreign language at universities is proposed. Attention is drawn to the use of AR elements in order to support students with different learning styles (audio, visual, kinesthetic).

An approach to increasing sensor performance and detection reliability for buried objects is to better understand which physical processes are dominant under certain environmental conditions. The present effort (Phase 2) builds on our previously published prior effort (Phase 1), which examined methods of determining the probability of detection and false alarm rates using thermal infrared for buried-object detection. The study utilized a 3.05 × 3.05 m test plot in Hanover, New Hampshire. Unlike Phase 1, the current effort involved removing the soil from the test plot area, homogenizing the material, then reapplying it into eight discrete layers along with buried sensors and objects representing targets of inter-est. Each layer was compacted to a uniform density consistent with the background undisturbed density. Homogenization greatly reduced the microscale soil temperature variability, simplifying data analysis. The Phase 2 study spanned May–November 2018. Simultaneous measurements of soil temperature and moisture (as well as air temperature and humidity, cloud cover, and incoming solar radiation) were obtained daily and recorded at 15-minute intervals and coupled with thermal infrared and electro-optical image collection at 5-minute intervals.
