Der volle Inhalt der QuelleAssessment of eating behaviours represents an important aspect in the treatment and prevention of childhood obesity. However, there are no self-reported questionnaires measuring the eating behaviours of Quebec children and adolescents. The objective of the master's project presented as part of this thesis was to translate and validate the French version of the Child Three-Factor Eating Questionnaire (CTFEQ), measuring eating behaviour traits of cognitive restraint, uncontrolled eating and emotional eating, among Quebec children and adolescents. One hundred and forty-five participants aged eight to fifteen years old completed three questionnaires including the CTFEQ, a socio-demographic questionnaire and a questionnaire measuring the presence of symptoms associated witheating disorders. Anthropometric measurements were also assessed, and participants completed a 24-hour dietary recall to assess diet intake and quality. The CTFEQ was administered a second time after two to four weeks to assess its reproducibility. The validation results led to obtaining a questionnaire comprising an adequate factor structure, internal consistency as well as reproducibility. A positive association has been observed between uncontrolled eating and emotional eating. Both of these eating behaviours have been negatively associated with body mass index. Cognitive restraint was positively correlated with the presence of symptoms associated with eating disorders, the proportion of energy intake derived from protein, and diet quality. These results suggest that the CTFEQ is validand can be used among French speaking Canadian children and adolescents to measure eating behaviors associated with childhood obesity.

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleSince the 1970’s, following a modernization process, society has taken a shift toward risk management (political, medical, interpersonal, etc.). The criminal justice system is no exception: the management of offenders has switched from their social reintegration to their surveillance and control, where public safety became more important than offenders’ rehabilitation. In order to optimize the management of recidivism, statistical tools which aim to assess offenders’ risk have been deployed. The criminal justice system tried to reduce risk of recidivism by targeting the factors highlighted in these tools, to guide clinical intervention. However, other intervention models focusing on individuals’ well-being are emerging, such as “The Good Lives Model”. The assumption of this approach is that, despite the risk factors targeted by the statistical tools, other needs should also be targeted to reintegrate offenders in society. The current study aims to explore, from the offenders’ point of view, their vision of social reintegration, their needs during probation, and their perception of this sentence as a means of responding to their needs. The narrative of eight men on probation were analyzed for this study. Semi-structured interviews were conducted in order to understand their experiences. Results shows that social reintegration is an iterative, individualized and longterm process consisting of a prioritization of needs. Those needs are to be responded in a consecutive and sequential manner during rehabilitation. Working on offenders’ needs requires a good knowledge of each individual’s reintegration process. Generally speaking, probation is seen as a punitive strategy to avoid recidivism, but it’s also includes a rehabilitative component conducive to intervention.

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis thesis examines internal workplace violence prevention programs and the organizational structure and management of related preventive activities. A qualitative and exploratory study was conducted at three unionized companies in Quebec, each with a workforce of over 500 employees. These businesses are a healthcare centre, a transportation company and a parapublic organization. The objective of this study was to perform a concordance analysis of a theoretical framework for interactive workplace violence prevention and the empirical data collected at the selected businesses, in order to develop a model for the analysis and improvement of existing activities at these sites. The study data was collected through semi-structured interviews with key players in the prevention of workplace violence. Certain company documents were also analysed as part of the data-gathering process. Methodological limits related to the data-gathering process and the analysis and interpretation of the collected information are also discussed. The results lead to three groups of knowledge. The first group allows us to qualify and more closely examine the dynamics of risky workplace situations and the demonstration and effects of workplace violence. The subtleties revealed here are linked to specific workplace situations that are at greater risk of violence. The second group of knowledge is related to the prevention of violence in the workplace. In the target businesses, the data reveal that the bulk of preventive activities relies primarily on education and staff training. The third group of knowledge suggests a new approach for workplace violence prevention programs. This approach involves flexible consultation procedures, strategic planning, decompartmentalized or networked management and a prevention evaluation tool based on organizational education.

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleFood insecurity (FI) is a public health problem which exists in developed countries, like Canada. However, few studies have addressed this issue, particularly in Quebec. Despite their limited capacity to fulfill nutritional needs, food banks remain a solution for low-income households. But how much do they really contribute to reduce FI in Quebec households and what variables make this food aid vary? The results obtained indicate that they contribute overall to 12.41% of what is recommended by Canada's Food Guide, in all food groups. They contribute to 15.93% in fruits and vegetables, to 13.73% in cereal products, to 12.47% in dairy products and to 7.53% in meat. Variables significantly influencing the contributions of food banks are also presented in this thesis. In particular, it appears that households formed by adults only, in rural areas, are the most privileged by these donations. Key words: food insecurity; food banks; Quebec; Canada’s Food Guide; global contribution; contribution per food group

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis study is an exploration of a new concept in public health, the perception of the risk of infectious diseases process. It aims to explore how primary target for vaccine-preventable infectious diseases are perceived by different groups including experts and students, and see how this perception may influence the propensity to invest in prevention. Thus, the questionnaire from the psychometric paradigm was designed and adapted to infectious diseases. This questionnaire was submitted to experts of the QIC (Québec Immunization Committee), the pediatric residents, and students in community health and epidemiology. This study described the risk perception about some preventable infectious diseases by vaccination in Quebec according to the characteristics of psychometric paradigm developed by Slovic. It also helped to describe the willingness to pay and willingness to invest participants to prevent these diseases. This study highlights the difficulties in the application of psychometric paradigm to characterize the infectious diseases. Further studies are needed to confirm these results.

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis research wishes to explore elementary school teacher’s knowledge of student anxiety. Conducted with twelve elementary teachers (Grade 1 to 6) from Quebec with semistructured interviews, it wishes more specifically to identify teacher’s knowledge on the recognition of symptoms and their understanding of underlying theoretical concepts such as causes, explanatory factors and appropriate interventions. Moreover, it wishes to describe the interventions that they put in place to prevent and reduce their pupil’s anxiety and to analyze their personal and practical sources of knowledge on the subject. Results showed that teachers appear to rely mostly on their own professional and personal experiences as the main sources of knowledge on the subject, while initial training and continuous education have little contribution to their current level of knowledge. Even if they succeed to identify some anxiety’s causes, symptoms and consequences and to describe some interventions that actually have been proved to prevent and reduce anxiety in students, the knowledge seems inequally distributed amongst participants and remain incomplete. In the light of those results, new approaches and areas of research are finally needed to improve teacher’s initial and continuous training on this topic.

At the request of the “Réseau du Sport étudiant du Québec”, the “En forme au secondaire” fitness test (B-EFAS) was developed. A total of 1626 high school students in Montreal and Saguenay were tested through a series of physical fitness tests : the 20-metre shuttle run test with 1 minute stage, the RSEQ anaerobic test, the fifteen-metre sprint round trip, the vertical jump, the paced push-ups, the paced sit-ups and the V-test. Multivariate analysis with distinctions of sexual and regional disparities was used to obtain a portrait of fitness. It is corroborated that boys get higher score at muscular tests and that girls perform better in flexibility. Forty-four percent (44%) of participants have obesity-related health risk. Between 1981 and 2014, the young were taller (♀ +1.67 cm, ♂ +2.25 cm), heavier (♀ +5.8 kg, ♂ + 5.6 kg) and their VO2max fell 13% (♀ -5 ml min-1 kg-1, ♂ -7 ml min-1 kg-1). The VO2max regresses between the ages of 12 and 17 among Quebeckers. Preliminary norms were built using LMS methods for all tests. Our research demonstrate that the RSEQ battery is evaluating and monitoring the progress of fitness at the High School level. Our study also shows that the physical condition of young people is likely to be affected by the global obesity epidemic and that significant changes in their lifestyle will be needed in order to reverse the situation.

Master's thesis, Université Laval, 2016. http://hdl.handle.net/20.500.11794/26877.
Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe problem related to the lack of access to justice arises in all regions of the world. To solve this issue, the National Assembly of Quebec adopted, on February 20th, 2014, the Bill n°28, An Act to establish the new Code of Civil Procedure, 1st sess, 40th lég. In this regard, the preliminary provision indicates that the new Code of civil procedure (hereafter: “NCPC”), which now governs the procedure applicable to the dispute prevention and resolution processes (hereafter: “PRD”), is “designed to ensure the accessibility, quality and promptness of civil justice […]“. Beyond these words, which have a considerable interpretative value, this study analyzes to what extent the integration of the principles of procedure applicable to PRD in the NCPC may improve access to civil justice.

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleIn Quebec, despite the important prevention, educational and awareness efforts deployed over the past forty years, drinking and driving is one of the main road safety concerns. This problem is even more pronounced among young drivers (16 to 24 years old), who are systematically overrepresented in drunk driving related accidents and infractions. To better understand problematic behaviours related to drinking and driving among young drivers in Quebec and why they persist, we sought out young drivers’ perspectives of the subject. Our inductive approach is based on grounded theory, which gives precedence to participants’ experiences, from which is built, iteratively, a theorized understanding of a problem. A total of 57 young drivers (18 to 24 years old) took part in online group interviews that we organized from September to December of 2015. Participants were asked about their perceptions, beliefs, and behaviours related to drinking and driving. The exchanges were then analyzed inductively, leading to a theorization based on the identification of four main barriers to adopting responsible driving among young drivers, namely 1) a misperception of the risks associated with drinking and driving, 2) a significant difficulty in moderating alcohol consumption, 3) a misunderstanding of how to assess the ability to drive after drinking, as well as 4) erroneous perceptions of the solutions to driving after drinking too much. Through their combination, our analysis brought to light a largely unknown risky behaviour, buzzed driving, which we found to be a form of illegal driving that contributes to the persistence of the drinking and driving problem among young drivers. A type of drunk or impaired driving, buzzed driving is distinguishable due to the driver perceptions. Having drunk only a little too much alcohol, the intoxicated driver usually shows very little evidence of alcohol intoxication. Hence, he has difficulty recognizing his inability to drive. The four barriers previously identified explain this problematic behaviour and its adoption by young drivers. Moreover, they allow us to suggest possible solutions to overcome the barriers to the adoption of safe behaviours regarding buzzed driving.
Audet, Olivier. „La prévention des blessures subies dans les parcs à neige des stations de ski alpin du Québec“. Doctoral thesis, Université Laval, 2020. http://hdl.handle.net/20.500.11794/66685.
Der volle Inhalt der QuelleIn North America, more than 90 % of the ski areas in operation have at least one terrain park.Terrain parks are specific areas of the slopes designed to accommodate acrobatic manoeuvreson features such as rails, boxes, kickers, mushrooms, tables, jumps, quarter-pipes and halfpipes. Although the practice of skiing and snowboarding in terrain parks is associated withsome benefits, including learning new complex motor skills, there are also potential risks. There is evidence that terrain park injuries are more likely to be severe than injuries sustainedon regular slopes. Risk factors for terrain park injuries can be associated with participants, equipment use, physical environment, and social environment. This doctoral thesis aims to improve knowledge on the prevention of terrain park injuriessustained in alpine ski areas. The public health approach to injury prevention was used as aframework for this thesis. It is composed of five steps: 1) Surveillance; 2) Identifying riskand protective factors; 3) Selecting and designing interventions; 4) Programs and policiesimplementation; 5) Evaluation and monitoring. First of all, we conducted a systematic reviewto identify risk factors for injury and prevention strategies aiming to reduce the risk of injuriessustained in terrain parks. Among others, results showed that: 1) compared to regular slopes, injuries sustained in terrain parks are more likely to be severe; 2) features that promoteacrobatic manoeuvres or large drops to the ground represent the main risk factor for terrainpark injuries; 3) no published study retrieved in our systematic review assessed injuryprevention strategies. Although no intervention has been tested, some authors suggest thatthe optimization of the physical environment of terrain parks could prevent injuries. Thisassociation has been observed in playground injuries. Then, since some studies have suggested that the quality of terrain park features could beassociated with the risk of injury, we decided to develop and validate an evaluation tool thatassesses the quality of terrain park features in Québec ski areas. To our knowledge, no suchinstrument exists to assess the quality of features in terrain parks. A posteriori, the instrumentcould be used to examine the association between the quality of terrain park features and therisk of injury. Likewise, in order to optimize the quality of terrain parks, the Québec SkiAreas Association (QSAA) implemented a guide in 2006 in Québec ski areas. The guide provides recommendations on the design, construction, and maintenance of terrain parkfeatures. Although it could contribute to preventing injuries, there is no scientific evidencethat terrain park features in Québec ski areas are compliant with the recommendations fromthe guide. Using the instrument designed in the previous study, we assessed the complianceof terrain park features with the recommendations of the QSAA guide. According to ourobservations, the features compliance level was high (91 %).As part of the thesis, the effect of an injury prevention strategy has also been studied. Duringthe 2007-2008 season, the administrators of two Québec ski areas decided to remove jumpsfrom their terrain parks. Jumps were reintroduced later in one ski area during the 2013-2014season. The decision of the administrators to remove and reintroduce man-made jumps fromtheir terrain parks provided a unique opportunity for research. Our results suggest thatremoving jumps from terrain parks could reduce the risk of severe injuries (protective effect)whereas reintroducing them could increase the risk of severe injuries (harmful effect) inalpine skiers and snowboarders. This thesis provides relevant information on the prevention of injuries sustained in terrainparks. Although epidemiological studies agree on the severity of injuries in terrain parks, fewstudies explore injury prevention strategies. Studies conducted during the project willcontribute to improving knowledge of key stakeholders in order to prevent terrain parkinjuries.
Aymele, Gnintedem Bodel. „Three essays on spatial health econometrics“. Doctoral thesis, Université Laval, 2020. http://hdl.handle.net/20.500.11794/66430.
Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis dissertation presents three essays on the health economics of the Quebec population, including newborn health. It introduces the spatial econometrics tools into the analyses, paying particular attention to the spatial correlation between socioeconomic characteristics(notably income) and the health of individuals (obesity) and newborns. The unit of analysis is the census tracts and individuals living in the province of Quebec. In our study, we propose a much more refined analysis of the determinants of income and health outcomes among new borns. The main motivation for our research comes from the fact that it is generally accepted that the consumption of health services and goods that are harmful to health vary significantly with the income of individuals. Richer or poorer individuals will tend to consume these goods and services to a greater or lesser extent. However, income itself varies overtime and space. These spatial and temporal dimensions need to be taken into account when modelling the relationships between demographic, socioeconomic and health characteristics of individuals. The introduction of spatial and temporal analyses into health economics issues will allow us to take into account spatial and temporal correlations in order to better estimate and determine the likely reasons for the variation in outcomes of interest across at different geographic scales. From a policy perspective, this approach will allow to anticipate and take preventive measures in the future with respect to the health of the population of Quebec.Health status modelling is innovative in that it integrates the characteristics of individuals ’immediate vicinity as well as spatial correlations in unobservable characteristics. These two components of the determinants of health are generally neglected or omitted in economic and econometric studies of public health issues. The main objective of this dissertation is therefore to introduce the modelling of spatial interactions into the analysis of public health issues. The idea is that, as stated in the first law of geography, everything interacts with everything, but two things that are close are more likely to interact than two things that are far away. The chapters of this dissertation are linked by the integration of a spatial dimension in the analysis of correlations. Specifically, the first chapter focuses on the relationship between obesity, measured through body mass index (BMI) and labour market outcomes (income and number of hours worked) from a spatiotemporal perspective. We use data from the National Population Health Survey (NPHS). The results of this chapter allow us to observe the presence in Quebec of a correlation between the income of individuals and that of their neighbours. This shows the spatial influence that neighbourhood has on an individual. Failure to take this aspect into account could have led to an incorrect conclusion about the relationship between income level and obesity. This also allowed us to separately test for the presence of the two spatial phenomena of autoregression and autocorrelation by explicitly modelling the fact that the residuals may be related to each other. In addition, we find that the marginal effects of the non-spatial model were underestimated compared to the spatial model. This underestimation ranges from 5% to17%. A refinement of the estimates was therefore made using the spatial model. With respect to the relationship between obesity and labour market outcomes, our analyses show that, inQuebec, obese individuals work more hours than individuals with a normal BMI. Obesity has no impact on the income of those who work there. The estimated models use continuous dependent variables. The second chapter assesses the relationship between income in the census tract where mothers live and adverse birth outcomes (premature and low birth weight). This chapter,to the best of our knowledge, differs from the existing literature in that it uses two different models: in addition to a spatial bivariate probit model, we also use a spatial SUR model, which is compatible with the introduction of a lagged spatiotemporal variable in the modelling. Our analysis was performed with data from neonates admitted and born at the neonatology unit of the Centre Hospitalier de l’Université Laval (CHUL). Our results show the existence of a positive correlation between premature newborns and low birth weight babies at the individual and census tract levels. The introduction of the delayed spatiotemporal variable in the SURspatial modelling shows that the spatially and temporally lagged gestational age positively affects the gestational age of newborns. The results also show that the gestational age and weight of a newborn are positively influenced by those of their neighbours. This shows the spatial influence that neighbourhood has on mothers. Failure to take into account the effect of the influence of some mothers’ behaviours on others could have resulted in the omission of possible spatial correlations in unobservable characteristics that influence adverse birthout comes. The fact that these results were obtained by estimates of both the bivariate probitmodel and the spatial SUR model indicates the robustness of the correlation. A comparison of the results of the spatial bivariate probit model and the spatial SUR model was performed. In addition, we note that regardless of the model used in the study, low income in the censustract is associated with a high risk of preterm birth and low birth weight. The third chapter deals with the likelihood of newborns contracting nosocomial infections or suffering medical incidents when their mothers live in the Quebec census metropolitan area. The objective of this last chapter is to determine whether the child’s mother’s nearby environment and characteristics can explain the risks associated with nosocomial infections and medical incidents. These relationships have barely been analyzed in the literature. The main contribution of this chapter lies in the fact that the literature on this question has typically failed to consider the impact of the proximity of some mothers on others. These interactions could have effects on nosocomial infections in their newborns. We conduct our analysis with the data from the previous chapter. A spatial bivariate probit model was incorporated to better capture the correlation between medical incidents and nosocomial infections acquired by newborns. The results of this chapter show that factors at the census tract level that are not observed and captured by spatial effects do not influence nosocomial infections and medical incidents in related ways. Specifically, census tracts where newborns suffer from nosocomial infections are not likely to have the same newborns with medical incidents. The results alsos how that premature and low birth weight infants are more likely to have both hospital acquired infections and medical incidents. Infants transferred from the maternity ward to theNeonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) are more likely to develop a nosocomial infection and experience a medical incident. In addition, children born in high income census tracts tend to be less vulnerable to infections.

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleSchool mediation is one of the devices created to meet - well or not - the current trend in the denunciation of "school violence" phenomenon that expresses itself a facet of the crisis of our social control systems. Kind of miracle solution to over-visibility of daily tensions identifiable educational, school mediation raises many questions, traditionally reduced to those of the reconciliation of regulatory function of mediation with the status of child or young person in school, or to more simple, the benefits that may arise from the practice of mediation in relation to the educational relationship. An exploratory qualitative research, begun in 2013, to investigate the question of the uniqueness of such devices against practical constraints posed by the response of having to "violence" now imposed on schools. To do this, semi-structured interviews were conducted in ten primary schools in Quebec, schools benefiting yet previously, a culture conducive to management and ownership of such mediation programs. Focused on the directions taken by the various actors engaged in implementing mediation projects in their respective communities, the results of this research will open the discussion on the concepts of culture (by extension, of cons-culture) and empowerment specific to these areas, and will discuss the limitations that arise in this regard to social workers and professionals in the academic world. Keywords : Mediation, implantation, culture, adherence, empowerment.
Der volle Inhalt der QuelleWhile street gangs concern public authorities and that suppression strategies are undertaken, no scientific study documents Quebec City situation. In this context, this qualitative descriptive-exploratory research has the objective to fill this gap by drawing a portrait of street gangs in Quebec City. This will help to adapt interventions according to the nature and extent of the situation. To this end, the study is divided into two main parts. The first is a description of the groups identified as street gangs. The second concerns the strategies currently deployed and the proposals from participants to prevent and counter the gang phenomenon and delinquency in Quebec City. The research interviews were conducted with 12 informants : four policemen, three street workers and five young men involved in these groups. Our findings indicate that the characteristics of gangs suspected not much correspond to criterias that usually define gangs in the research. In addition, our data analysis reveal a lack of consensus among participants about the definition of a street gang, and consequently, about the existence of the gang phenemenon in Quebec City. Therefore, the antigang strategies are controversial and labeling impacts of youth too. Finally, possible solutions based on proven practices are proposed in light of the situation analysis. Key words : street gangs, gangs, youth gangs, intervention, strategies.

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThere is a lack of resources for nurses to work effectively with parents to increase physical activity of their preschooler. It is important to intervene given the problems of overweight and the low level of physical activity among young children. Based on the theory of planned behavior and other constructs, this study aims to identify the determining factors of parents’ intent to incite their children aged 3 to 5 years to be more active. A total of 282 parents, attending 35 child care centers in Quebec, completed a self-administered questionnaire in this descriptive correlational study. Results indicate that the perception of control, the social influence, the moral norm, the attitude, the regularity, and the amount of parents’ physical activity explained 75% of the variance of parents’ intention. These findings could be used to develop an intervention to improve or consolidate parents’ intent to increase their child’s physical activity.

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis thesis offers an anthropological understanding of alcohol consumption and puts forward an innovative approach based on the « metaphysics of the near-ending ». This approach was developed following an ethnographic research conducted in the Beauce region of Quebec. Instead of considering alcohol as a social or public health problem, I sought to understand how and why we drink, in Beauce, letting myself be guided by local drinkers. By taking part in many evenings where beer is omnipresent, whether in garages, bars or the local arena, I allowed myself to be affected by words and sensations that go along with what they call the « feeling of the moment ». Looking back, I found that Beauce drinkers have developed defensive strategies to escape the control exerted on their alcoholic behavior and, more broadly, on alcoholism. In fact in the perspective of the « metaphysics of the near-ending », the amount of drinks consumed is not important, given the « feeling of the moment »; cultural or medical standards related to alcohol consumption do not prevail, and that is why this approach can explain the discourses and practices related to alcohol consumption which at first sight seem paradoxical or even completely absurd. To show how the approach put forward is distinctive, but especially to explain how alcohol consumption has come to represent, in anthropology as in other disciplines, a practical problem that must be understood in order to fight it, the first part of the thesis is a historical perspective of alcoholism as a scientific concept and social issue. I present a critical review of different approaches and concepts developed from the late seventeenth century by doctors, psychologists, economists, sociologists and euro-american anthropologists to address consumption, and especially what is considered as an excessive consumption of alcohol. I suggest that these scientists have conducted, for over two centuries, a crusade against « excessive drinkers ». Working with the State, temperance movements and private companies, they have contributed to containing alcohol abuse in the West. In the second part of the thesis, ethnography is used to support the theoretical perspective developed after the end of the fieldwork. I analyze how alcohol drinkers live and make last the « feeling of the moment » during social drinking. Throughout my field work, I discovered that alcohol drinkers have invented eleven strategies in order to live and sustain the « feeling of the moment » by consuming alcohol with others. These strategies are summarized in the concept of a « metaphysics of the near-ending ». They are a form of resistance in the context of a society that seeks to control alcoholic behavior.

Although, management strategies dealing with risk and uncertainty have become a critical issue over the past several years, solutions are still to be developed. However, how can one judge the severity of risk when the potential damage and its probability are unknown? This study develops a framework for analyzing risk management strategies in forest management planning. We delineated how these management strategies could address the risk to protect timber harvest against disruptions. We tested optimization and simulation model to estimate the impact of risk associated with fire in timber supply calculations in an ecosystem context in boreal zone of the province of Quebec, Canada. Since paying, an insurance premium appeared to produce better results than partitioning buffer stock, (chapter I). The rating of wood volume available to harvest as a function of its vulnerability to fire can be used to reduce the impacts of fire on timber supply (chapter II). This idea was extended to test the adaptability of partial cutting coupled with buffer stock and accounting for the uncertainty induced by fire and projected climate scenarios (chapter III). As there are different levels of risk and different levels of tolerance to risk, the study results have shown that the process of risk evaluation itself needs to be accepted in its degree of uncertainties and its severity. As far as the insurance is concerned, it looks like a good strategy, but find an insurance company that is interested enough to believe there are enough potential customers to pay the premiums to make a profit could be required. The results also reveal that a targeted strategy such as excluding vulnerable stands from timber supply or adaptation of silvicultural treatment such as partial cutting may greatly interesting when facing risk scenario. Although, we covered different forest management strategies in this thesis, important issues still need to be considered in order to improve the knowledge associated with risk of fire; especially the context in which it develops.
