Tujuan kajian ini adalah mengungkapkan (1) makna referensial puisi “Nini-­Nini Dukun Bayi”; (2) ungramatikalitas, makna simbolik, dan pasangan oposisi puisi tersebut. Kajian ini menggunakan teori semiotik­struktural Riffaterre. Metode yang dipergunakan dalam penelitian adalah telaah kepustakaan. Sifat puisi mengungkapkan sesuatu dengan tidak langsung karena puisi mempunyai dua lapis makna (makna referensial dan makna semiotik). Dari analisis data ditemukan (1) makna referensial puisi “Nini­-Nini Dukun Bayi” yang mengungkapkan terpinggirnya profesi dukun bayi oleh bidan; (2) ungramatikalitas, makna simbolik, dan pasangan oposisi puisi “Nini­Nini Dukun Bayi” dalam persoalan kemodernan dan ketradisionalan. Abstract: This research aims to reveal (1) referential meaning of a poem entitled “Nini­-Nini Dukun Bayi”; (2) ungrammaticality, symbolic meaning, and opposition pairs of the poem. Semiotic­ structural theory of Riffaterre and library research method are conducted in this research. Poetry has an indirect expression with two layers meaning (referential and semiotic). The analysis shows (1) referential meaning of “Nini-­Nini Dukun Bayi” poem that illustrates marginalization of dukun bayi ‘traditional midwife’ by bidan ‘midwife; (2) ungrammaticality, symbolic meaning, and opposition pairs of “Nini­Nini Dukun Bayi” in modernity and traditional matters. Abstract Nodule Inception (NIN) is one of the most important root nodule symbiotic genes as it is required for both infection and nodule organogenesis in legumes. Unlike most legumes with a sole NIN gene, there are four putative orthologous NIN genes in soybean (Glycine max). Whether and how these NIN genes contribute to soybean–rhizobia symbiotic interaction remain unknown. In this study, we found that all four GmNIN genes are induced by rhizobia and that conserved CE and CYC binding motifs in their promoter regions are required for their expression in the nodule formation process. By generation of multiplex Gmnin mutants, we found that the Gmnin1a nin2a nin2b triple mutant and Gmnin1a nin1b nin2a nin2b quadruple mutant displayed similar defects in rhizobia infection and root nodule formation, Gmnin2a nin2b produced fewer nodules but displayed a hyper infection phenotype compared to wild type (WT), while the Gmnin1a nin1b double mutant nodulated similar to WT. Overexpression of GmNIN1a, GmNIN1b, GmNIN2a, and GmNIN2b reduced nodule numbers after rhizobia inoculation, with GmNIN1b overexpression having the weakest effect. In addition, overexpression of GmNIN1a, GmNIN2a, or GmNIN2b, but not GmNIN1b, produced malformed pseudo-nodule-like structures without rhizobia inoculation. In conclusion, GmNIN1a, GmNIN2a, and GmNIN2b play functionally redundant yet complicated roles in soybean nodulation. GmNIN1b, although expressed at a comparable level with the other homologs, plays a minor role in root nodule symbiosis. Our work provides insight into the understanding of the asymmetrically redundant function of GmNIN genes in soybean.

En este artículo se analizan las principales características de los jóvenes NINIS en Colombia, es decir, aquellos que tienen entre 15 y 24 años, no estudian, ni trabajan, ni se capacitan. Se estiman modelos probit con el fin de encontrar los determinantes que afectan la probabilidad de que un joven se convierta en NINI y se realiza el análisis con énfasis en las diferencias por género, utilizando la Gran Encuesta Integrada de Hogares (GEIH) del año 2019. Las diferencias por género son evaluadas estimando regresiones para hombres y mujeres por separado, en donde se muestran patrones diferentes. Adicionalmente, se hace una breve descripción del impacto que ha tenido el COVID-19 en la condición de los NINIS, comparando el trimestre mayo-julio del 2019 y el mismo periodo en 2020.

Abstract Medulloblastoma is one of the most common pediatric malignant brain tumors, currently comprising four distinct molecular subgroups: wingless [WNT], sonic hedgehog [SHH], and groups 3-4. Efforts to identify the mechanisms of medulloblastoma development have focused on mapping the extent of the tumor cell heterogeneity within each subgroup. Nevertheless, little is known about the role of the tumor microenvironment (TME) in medulloblastoma progression, particularly in subgroups 3-4, which have the worst prognosis due to metastatic disease. In this study, we performed single-cell transcriptomics on 14 human medulloblastoma samples spanning all molecular subgroups, to uncover novel TME-tumor interactions modulating medulloblastoma progression and metastasis. Unsupervised clustering of all medulloblastoma samples revealed 18 subclusters, including tumor granule neuron progenitors (GNPs) in different stages of differentiation, stromal cells (including oligodendrocyte precursors, mature oligodendrocytes, astrocytes, fibroblasts, endothelial cells and pericytes), myeloid cells (including microglia, monocytes and macrophages) as well as lymphoid cells. To investigate subgroup-specific signatures as well as TME-tumor pathways, we analyzed each subgroup separately. Analysis of supporting stroma cells in groups 3-4 demonstrated the presence of 8 different stroma populations, including a population of tumor-associated endothelial cells. Tumor-associated endothelial and fibroblast populations of groups 3-4 showed the highest expression of genes for vascular remodeling and extracellular matrix degradation, suggesting an active reprogramming of the stroma by tumor GNP cells to support medulloblastoma progression. Epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition-like processes that regulate stem cell, invasion and metastatic properties were upregulated in the tumor GNP populations of groups 3-4 compared to SHH and WNT subgroups. Finally, we highlight the presence of the CXCL1-CXCL5/CXCR2 metastasis-associated axis in groups 3-4 medulloblastomas as a potential therapeutic target. Our findings provide biological insights into TME processes for the different subgroups of medulloblastoma and possible new potential therapeutic avenues. Abstract Our current knowledge of the different immune cells in neuroblastoma is based on in vitro and in vivo studies mainly focusing on a single cell type. Different studies have conveyed conflicting results and despite the use of anti-GD2 immunotherapy in the clinic, a comprehensive immune cell overview at the single-cell level is still missing and understanding the complete composition of immune cells neuroblastoma will be crucial for the development of novel immunotherapeutics against the disease. In this study, we performed single-cell RNA-sequencing on human neuroblastoma coupled with multiplex immunohistochemistry and survival analysis to provide a complete cellular and molecular immune cell landscape of human neuroblastoma. Further, we contrasted the neuroblastoma data with single-cell RNA-sequencing data from normal fetal adrenal gland to characterize cell-state changes from normal tissue to neuroblastoma. Our analysis revealed 27 immune cell subtypes including distinct subpopulations of myeloid, NK, B and T cells that were associated with a survival benefit. Multiple subtypes of B and NK cells, not seen in neuroblastoma before, were identified. We propose the presence of tertiary lymphoid structures and showed that Active NK cells correlated with improved survival. In contrast to adult cancers, we detected no difference in cytotoxicity and exhaustion score for cytotoxic T cells, nor Treg activity. However, we demonstrated an increase in inflammatory monocyte signature score from normal to tumor derived myeloid cells. Finally, we performed receptor-ligand interaction analysis between tumor, stroma and immune cells, where we highlight several interactions that we suggest for future studies of how to exploit immune cells as a therapeutic option in neuroblastoma. Our findings significantly broaden the understanding of the immune composition in neuroblastoma and provides a resource for the development of novel immunotherapeutics. Abstract Introduction: Renal cell carcinoma, particularly the clear cell histological subtype (ccRCC), is the most common kidney cancer in adults, accounting for 75-85% of all cases. When it is localized to the kidney, it is often cured with surgical resection or thermal ablation. One quarter of the patients have evidence of metastatic disease at the time of diagnosis, and in this setting ccRCC still is a highly lethal disease with few effective treatment options. In this study we used single-cell RNA-sequencing to characterize tumor cell clonality, metastatic signatures and the tumor microenvironment in ccRCC at the single-cell level. Methodological approach: Here we took advantage of fresh patient samples that included treatment-naive primary tumor tissue, matched adjacent normal kidney tissue, as well as tumor samples collected from patients with bone metastases. We used single cell RNA sequencing (10X Genomics, Chromium 3’ v2 kit, 10x Genomics), that was analyzed with PAGODA and CONOS. Summary of new unpublished data: Our analysis revealed a distinct transcriptional signature that predicts metastatic potential and patient survival was disclosed through the single-cell analysis. In-depth exploration of the supporting stromal cells displayed a phenotype of vascular remodeling within the endothelial cells. The fibroblasts showed a proliferative signature that was associated with poor survival. An in silico cell-to-cell interaction analysis highlighted the CXCL9/CXCL10-CXCR3 axis and the CD70-CD27 axis as potential therapeutic targets. Conclusions: Our discoveries in ccRCC provide complementary biological insights, specifically in the interplay between tumor cells and their microenvironment in ccRCC. We demonstrate important biological insights into ccRCC biology including: (1) identification of a distinct metastatic signature that predicts survival outcome, (2) discovery of a proximal tubule cell population that may represent the ccRCC cell of origin, and (3) a detailed exploration in the immunosuppressive environment and the stromal alterations in treatment-naïve patients. In addition, we stress potential therapeutic targets for further evaluation in preclinical models. Este estudio investigó la relación entre el significado del trabajo y de los comportamientos de búsqueda de empleo para jóvenes ninis. Su principal objetivo fue entender si estas dimensiones y la relación entre ellas ayudan a comprender los motivos por los cuales los jóvenes continúan en esta situación. Participaron 224 jóvenes que respondieron a un cuestionario personal y social, a la Escala de Intensidad de la Búsqueda de Empleo (esat-br), y a preguntas sobre la centralidad del trabajo. El análisis de los datos provenientes de las escalas fue precedido de la realización de un análisis factorial confirmatorio (afc), el cual propuso ajustes en los modelos originales. Los resultados de los aná- lisis estadísticos apuntan a que los jóvenes que llevan más tiempo en la condición nini tienden a atribuir una mayor connotación negativa al trabajo y a involucrarse menos en estrategias de búsqueda de empleo. Al mismo tiempo, aquellos que concentraban los mayores niveles de escolaridad y de renta relataron mayor implicación con dichas estrategias. La asociación encontrada entre variables personales y sociales, y los constructos investigados evidencian la complejidad del fenómeno y la importancia de comprenderlo a partir de la interacción entre factores personales y contextuales.

En la mayoría de países de América Latina, en los últimos años, se ha incrementado la preocupación por la situación de los jóvenes que no estudian ni trabajan (Generación “NINI”). Por ello en esta investigación nos enfocaremos en la población juvenil peruana que forma parte de este grupo NINI y se analizarán los determinantes que influyen en la decisión de no estudiar, ni trabajar por parte de esta población. Con esto se pretende ahondar en los motivos de la inactividad juvenil, que se asocia en gran medida con los hogares de bajos ingresos, características personales y el nivel educativo. La relevancia de la investigación radica en el hecho de que conocer los factores determinantes de los NINI y de esta manera tratar de reducir su porcentaje mediante la educación y mayores oportunidades laborales, contribuirá a la acumulación de capital humano, y con ello, al crecimiento económico. Se utilizó la Encuesta Nacional de Hogares, para estudiar los determinantes de los jóvenes que no estudian, ni trabajan, dentro del rango de edades de 15 a 29 años; resultando que, la mayor parte de los NINI son mujeres, de lo cual se deduce la existencia de factores asociados al género, tales como la fertilidad, el rol dentro de la economía del hogar o razones educativas para formar parte de este grupo.
In recent years, in most Latin American countries, a concern has been growing about the situation of young people who are neither in the education system nor integrated into the labour market (the "NEETS" generation). Therefore, in this research we focus on the Peruvian youth population that is part of this NEET group and we analyze the determinants that influence the decision of this population not to study or work. With this we intend to delve into the reasons for youth inactivity, which is largely associated with low-income households, personal characteristics and educational level. The National Household Survey was used to study the determinants of young people who neither study nor work, within the age range of 15 to 29 years; as a result, most of the NEET are women, from which the existence of factors associated with gender, fertility, the role within the household economy or educational reasons for being part of this group.

La generación nini es un grupo poblacional conformado por jóvenes que ni estudian ni trabajan, debido a las limitaciones económicas y sociales que tienen para culminar sus estudios o conseguir un empleo. A ello se suma que, las familias muchas veces son quienes motivan a los jóvenes para que no abandonen la seguridad del hogar aduciendo qué se vive en un mundo hostil. Los nini son una problemática que no solo compete a los países subdesarrollados, sino que también a los países desarrollados. En tal sentido, dependerá de cómo las políticas estatales incorporen estos jóvenes al sistema educativo o al mercado laboral, para evitar que caigan en la delincuencia, pandillaje y/o drogadicción.
The nini generation is a population group made up of young people who neither study nor work due to the economic and social limitations they have to complete their studies or get a job. In addition, families are often the ones who motivate young people not to abandon the security of home by claiming that they live in a hostile world. Nini are a problem not only of underdeveloped countries but also of developed countries. In that sense, it will depend on how state policies incorporate these young people into the education system or the labor market, to prevent them from falling into crime, gangs, and / or drug addiction.

To get a long life of a product which is subjected to heavy mechanical wear, materials with particularly good properties such as high hardness and the ability to resist high temperature is required. Tungsten carbide is a material which has these properties, but to manufacture large products for mining industry or agriculture entirely of this material is neither practical nor quite beneficial when the disadvantages of the materials such as brittleness, high weight and high price will have a major affect. To exploit material properties in a beneficial way it is more convenient to coat the surface on ordinary steel with a composite coating consisting of tungsten carbides in a nickel base matrix. By this way it is possible to utilize the steels ductility, lower weight and lower price along with the tungsten carbides superior abrasion resistance. The method for coating the steel surfaces of this composite material is usually some welding process. Laser or plasma welding with filler material in powder form is often used as a beneficial method for this. Höganäs AB is a manufacturer of metal powder and conducts development of metal powder mixtures for surface coating purposes. This report is a study of various types of tungsten carbide powder used for the surface coating process “Laser Cladding”. As tungsten carbide powders are available in various shapes and compositions, the goal is to find out what the different tungsten carbide types characteristics, advantages and disadvantages are when used in surface coatings, and also how they behave in the welding process. For this, the different types of powders were analyzed with respect to their properties in the unwelded condition. Thereafter samples of surface coatings were welded with the different types of tungsten carbides and their coating properties were analyzed. This has been done by measuring the dilution with X-ray diffraction, metallographic studies in both the light optical and scanning electron microscopy and hardness measurements. Finally, the coatings are subjected to abrasion test according to ASTM G65-4 for abrasive wear. The different types of tungsten carbides covered in this report are: 1. Spherical Cast Carbide2. Fused and crushed tungsten carbide, FTC3. Mono Cristalline tungsten carbide4. PA2, WC-Co carbide5. Agglomerated WC-Co carbide It appeared early in welding attempts that the carbide type PA2 (WC-Co) could not be weld with appropriate results, so further experiments of this type were canceled. After analysis of the welded coatings it can be concluded that Spherical Cast Carbide has the best wear resistance closely followed by Fused and crushed tungsten carbide and Mono Cristalline tungsten carbide. Agglomerated WC-Co carbide showed poor abrasion resistance in overlap areas, but in between these the result has appropriate properties were also a low surface roughness is achieved compared to the other materials. This could provide opportunities for new applications for this type of carbide where good surface finish is required, if it is possible to eliminate the problems in overlap areas.
För att få ut lång livslängd på en produkt som utsätts för tungt mekaniskt slitage krävs material med särskilt bra egenskaper som till exempel hög hårdhet och klara av höga temperaturer. Volframkarbid är ett material som har dessa egenskaper, men att tillverka en stor produkt för gruvindustri eller jordbruk helt i detta material är varken praktiskt möjligt eller helt fördelaktigt då man även får med sig vissa nackdelar med materialet som sprödhet, hög vikt och att det är mycket dyrt. För att utnyttja materialens egenskaper på ett fördelaktigt sätt belägger man istället ytan på vanligt stål med en kompositbeläggning bestående av volframkarbider i en nickelbasmatris. Detta gör att man utnyttjar stålets seghet, lägre vikt och lägre pris tillsammans med volframkarbidernas överlägsna nötningsmotstånd. Metoden för att belägga stålytor med detta kompositmaterial är oftast någon svetsprocess. Laser eller plasmasvetsning med tillsatsmaterial i form av pulver är ofta en fördelaktig metod för detta. Höganäs Ab är en tillverkare av metallpulver och bedriver utveckling av metallpulverblandningar för ytpåsvetsning. Denna rapport är en studie av olika typer av volframkarbidpulver som används för laserytpåsvetsning. Då volframkarbidpulver finns i olika former och sammansättningar är målet att ta reda på vilka de olika typernas egenskaper, för och nackdelar är när de används i ytbeläggningar, och även hur de beter sig i svetsprocessen. För detta har de olika typerna av pulver analyserats med avseende på deras egenskaper i osvetsat tillstånd. Därefter har svetsprover utförts med olika de olika volframkarbidtyperna och ytbeläggningarnas egenskaper har analyserats. Detta har skett med uppsmältningsmätningar med röntgendiffraktion, metallografiska undersökningar i både ljusoptiskt- och svepelektronmikroskop och hårdhetsmätningar. Avslutningsvis har beläggningarna utsatts för nötningsprov enligt standarden ASTM G65-4 för abrasiv nötning.De olika volframkarbidtyperna som behandlas i denna rapport är: 1. Spherical Cast Carbide2. Fused and crushed tungsten carbide, FTC3. Monocristalline tungsten carbide4. PA2, WC-Co carbide5. Agglomerated WC-Co carbide Det visade sig tidigt vid svetsförsöken att typen PA2 (WC-Co) inte gick att svetsa med fullgott resultat, så vidare försök på denna typ avbröts. Efter analyser av de svetsade ytbeläggningarna kan det konstateras att Spherical Cast Carbide har bäst nötningsmotstånd tätt följd av Fused and crushed tungsten carbide och Monocristalline tungsten carbide. Agglomerated WC-Co carbide visade på dåligt nötningsmotstånd i de områden där svetssträngarna överlappar varandra men mitt i strängarna finner man ett gott resultat där man dessutom får en god ytfinhet jämfört med de andra materialen. Detta kan ge möjlighet till nya användningsområden där god ytfinhet krävs för denna typ, om man kan eliminera problemen i överlappsområdena.

TESIS PARA OPTAR AL GRADO DE MAGÍSTER EN POLÍTICAS PÚBLICAS
Este trabajo estudia los determinantes de no estudiar y no trabajar de los j ovenes entre 15 y 29 a~nos en Chile, con especial foco en las diferencias por g enero de los j ovenes y en la separaci on por tramo de edad, dada la heterogeneidad de la muestra en estudio. Se utilizan los datos de la Encuesta de Caracterizaci on Socioecon omica (CASEN) 2013, adem as de la serie completa CASEN para estudiar la evoluci on de los NINI en el tiempo. Para lograr el objetivo, se implementan modelos de elecci on univariada en las decisiones de no estudiar, no trabajar, y ser NINI (ambas categor as de forma simult anea), y adem as se propone un modelo de elecci on bivariada en las decisiones de no estudiar y no trabajar. La hip otesis principal para proponer este modelo, es que las decisiones de no estudiar y no trabajar est an correlacionadas. Los datos descriptivos muestran que: i) El porcentaje de NINIs ha disminuido desde 1990 hasta 2013. ii) Los NINIs se concentran en quintiles de menores ingresos, mientras dicho porcentaje disminuye en los de mayores ingresos. iii) En total son 790.563 j ovenes NINI, que se dividen en 34% de hombres NINI y 66% de mujeres NINI. Dichas mujeres en su mayor a ayudan en la casa o quehaceres del hogar, se encuentran embarazadas o en maternidad, terminaron de estudiar, y no tienen con quien dejar a los ni~nos. Entre los principales resultados de la investigaci on, controlando por regi on y areas urbana y rural, se encuentra que: a) Las variables de caracterizaci on del joven y del hogar en que este vive resultaron tener impacto signi cativo en las decisiones analizadas. b) Al incorporar variables que re ejan la presencia de NINIs en el hogar, se encuentra que estas variables tienen un fuerte impacto y signi cativo, lo cual sugiere que aquellos hogares con presencia de j ovenes NINI en el mismo, tienden a reproducir esta condici on en aquellos j ovenes que no lo son. c) Se encuentra un signi cativo y negativo coe ciente de correlaci on, indicando que las decisiones de no estudiar y no trabajar est an relacionadas y existe un trade-o entre dichas decisiones.

Doping superlattices are likely to cause an enhancement of carriers mobility especially at low temperature provided that superlattice period is about a few nanometers. In the first part of our study, we show that the epitaxy in ultrahigh vacuum with doping implantation at very low energy allows achieving the envisaged structures. For that purpose we have modelised doping profiles obtained with Arsenic ions implanted under 500 ev and 1 Kev during the growth of the layer considering: the depth distribution of doping ions, their segragation tendancy towards surface and their diffusion assisted by intrinsic vacancies and implant generated vacancies. In the second part of our study we have simulated transport properties of doping superlattices NINI by means of particulary Model. The results show an enhancement of mobility wich reaches 5, 5 times of uniformly doped structure mobility. This gain of mobility decreases when layer thickness increases due to importance of perpendicular electric field

Wanneer Nini Brunt (1891-1984) in de tweede helft van de jaren zeventig twee boekjes met memoires over haar Haagse jeugd uitbrengt,1 wordt daar in de literaire pers veel aandacht aan besteed. Niet alleen wordt het opmerkelijke feit besproken dat zij de tachtig al ruim gepasseerd is, ook gaat de aandacht uit naar haar reputatie. Illustratief is de opmerking van Ab Visser in de Leeuwarder Courant: ‘Niet velen zullen de naam van Nini Brunt kennen. De bekendheid die zij geniet, dankt zij aan haar voortreffelijke vertaalwerk (o.m. van Franz Kafka)’ (Visser 1977). De huidige status van Nini Brunt als ‘vergeten vertaalster’ blijkt uit het feit dat zij in een aantal belangrijke naslagwerken wel genoemd wordt maar niet beschreven. In zowel de Digitale Bibliotheek der Nederlandse Letteren als de theaterencyclopedie van het Nederlands Theater Instituut is haar naam in de index opgenomen, maar is geen inhoudelijk lemma te vinden: haar naam is bekend, maar leidt niet tot een verhaal. Opmerkelijk is verder dat zij ontbreekt in het in 2018 verschenen boek 1001 vrouwen in de 20ste eeuw en vooralsnog in het Digitaal Vrouwenlexicon van Nederland (DVN). Maar hoe gaat dat met de conjunctuur van een reputatie? Wie vergeten is, moet ooit gekend zijn. De reputatie die Brunt als vertaalster heeft, of heeft gehad, is vooral verbonden met haar vertalingen van het grootste deel van het verzameld werk van Kafka en van Mrs Dalloway van Woolf. Deze vertalingen maken echter maar een klein deel uit van haar oeuvre. De actieve vertaalcarrière van Brunt beslaat een periode van ruim vijftig jaar. Haar eerst bekende vertaling dateert uit 1928 (ze was toen 37 jaar oud): Zeemans thuisvaart, van David Garnett, verschenen bij Stols in Maastricht, de eerste uitgave van haar laatste vertaling verscheen in 1980 (het jaar waarin zij 89 werd), bij uitgeverij Allert de Lange: De legende van de Heilige Drinker van de Duitse exilauteur Joseph Roth. Een voorlopige inventarisatie van haar vertaaloeuvre laat zien dat zij tussen deze twee vertalingen nog 64 andere heeft geproduceerd, maar vermoedelijk zijn het er aanzienlijk meer.2 Tot 1960 gaat het vooral om kinderboeken en detectives, met een enkel boek van meer gecanoniseerde auteurs. Vanaf 1960 vormt juist de laatste categorie de meerderheid.
