Abstrak Penelitian ini membahas optimasi proses pemesinan wire-EDM multirespon karakteristik menggunakan metode Taguchi dan logika fuzzy. Multirespon yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah recast layer dan surface roughness dimana masing-masing mempunyai karakteristik kualitas semakin kecil semakin baik. Pada percobaan ini dilakukan dengan memvariasikan enam parameter proses, yaitu on time, open voltage, off time, servo voltage, wire feed, dan water flow. Karena setiap parameter proses tersebut memiliki tiga level, maka rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah matriks orthogonal array L27. Untuk mengoptimasi kedua karakteristik dari kedua respon digunakan logika fuzzy. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik dari kedua respon tersebut mengalami peningkatan secara efektif dengan metode ini. Parameter proses pemesinan yang secaara signifikan mempengaruhi recast layer dan surface roughness adalah on time, open voltage dan wire feed.Kata kunci: wire-EDM, Taguchi, logika fuzzy, recast layer, surface roughness

Manufacturing science focuses on understanding problems from the perspective of the stakeholders involved and then applying manufacturing science as needed. We investigate semi-orthogonal frame wavelets and Parseval frame wavelets in with a dilation factor. We show that every affine subspace is the orthogonal direct sum of at most three purely non-reducing subspaces. This result is obtained through considering the basicquestion as to when the orthogonal complement of an afffine subspace in another one is still affine subspace.The definition of multiple pseudofames for subspaces with integer translation is proposed. The notion of a generalized multiresolution structure of is also introduced. The construction of a generalized multireso-lution structure of Paley-Wiener subspaces of is investigated.

The obtained results provided the basis for formulating conclusions concerning the use of a gas detector in monitoring odour emissions from biogas plants processing municipal waste. The study results can be applied in practice in biogas plants processing municipal waste as well as in other municipal facilities.

In this work, the notion of the quarternary generalized multiresol- ution structure (TGMS) of subspace is proposed. The characteristics of quarternary affine pseudoframes for subspaces is investigated. Construction of a GMS of Paley-Wiener subspace of is studied. The pyramid decomposition scheme is obtained based on such a TGMS and a sufficient condition for its existence is provided. A constructive method for affine frames of based on a TGMS is established.

Frames have become the focus of active research, both in theory and in applications. In the article, the notion of bivariate minimum-energy wavelet frames is introduced. A precise existence criterion for minimum-energy frames in terms of an inequality condition on the Laurent polynomial symbols of the filter functions is provided. An explicit formula for designing minimum-energy frames is also establish- ed. The sufficient condition for the existence of a class of affine pseudoframes with filter banks is obtained by virtue of a generalized multiresolution analysis. The pyramid decomposition scheme is established based on such a generalized multiresol- -ution structure.

Accurate liver vessel segmentation is of crucial importance for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of many hepatic diseases. Recent state-of-the-art methods for liver vessel reconstruction mostly utilize deep learning methods, namely, the U-Net model and its variants. However, to the best of our knowledge, no comparative evaluation has been proposed to compare these approaches in the liver vessel segmentation task. Moreover, most research works do not consider the liver volume segmentation as a preprocessing step, in order to keep only inner hepatic vessels, for Couinaud representation for instance. For these reasons, in this work, we propose using accurate Dense U-Net liver segmentation and conducting a comparison between 3D U-Net models inside the obtained volumes. More precisely, 3D U-Net, Dense U-Net, and MultiRes U-Net are pitted against each other in the vessel segmentation task on the IRCAD dataset. For each model, three alternative setups that allow adapting the selected CNN architectures to volumetric data are tested, namely, full 3D, slab-based, and box-based setups are considered. The results showed that the most accurate setup is the full 3D process, providing the highest Dice for most of the considered models. However, concerning the particular models, the slab-based MultiRes U-Net provided the best score. With our accurate vessel segmentations, several medical applications can be investigated, such as automatic and personalized Couinaud zoning of the liver.

Target tracking in low-altitude Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) videos faces many technical challenges due to the relatively small sizes, various orientation changes of the objects and diverse scenes. As a result, the tracking performance is still not satisfactory. In this paper, we propose a real-time single-target tracking method with multiple Region Proposal Networks (RPNs) and Distance-Intersection-over-Union (Distance-IoU) Discriminative Network (DIDNet), namely MultiRPN-DIDNet, in which ResNet50 is used as the backbone network for feature extraction. Firstly, an instance-based RPN suitable for the target tracking task is constructed under the framework of Simases Neural Network. RPN is to perform bounding box regression and classification, in which channel attention mechanism is integrated to improve the representative capability of the deep features. The RPNs built on the Block 2, Block 3 and Block 4 of ResNet50 output their own Regression (Reg) coefficients and Classification scores (Cls) respectively, which are weighted and then fused to determine the high-quality region proposals. Secondly, a DIDNet is designed to correct the candidate target’s bounding box finely through the fusion of multi-layer features, which is trained with the Distance-IoU loss. Experimental results on the public datasets of UAV20L and DTB70 show that, compared with the state-of-the-art UAV trackers, the proposed MultiRPN-DIDNet can obtain better tracking performance with fewer region proposals and correction iterations. As a result, the tracking speed has reached 33.9 frames per second (FPS), which can meet the requirements of real-time tracking tasks.

Multirepon optimization in the Taguchi method can be done by using the VIKOR and TOPSIS approach, which are based on the concept that the best chosen alternative not only has the shortest distance from a positive ideal solution, but also has the longest distance from the negative ideal solution. The basic concept of these two methods is to determine the ranking of existing samples by looking at the results of the utility (S), regrets (R) and solution distances as the best alternatives for each sample. This study aims to obtain significant process variables on the brightness and soreness response variables in the envelope making process by using VIKOR and TOPSIS method approaches, and comparing the results of VIKOR and TOPSIS optimization. The results showed that the two methods produced process optimization in setting variables that were not the same. The VIKOR method produced a setting variable namely A3B2C1D1 while the TOPSIS method produced a setting variable A1B1C3D3. Looking at the value of the two methods, the VIKOR method produced a better estimated value of the brightness parameters and TOPSIS produced a better estimate value for the silence parameter.

Confidence interval estimation is important in statistical inference for the parameters of the regression model, but the theory of confidence interval estimation for multi-response semiparametric regression model parameters based on the truncated spline estimator has not been examined. In this study, we estimate the confidence interval of the multi-response semiparametric regression model based on the truncated spline estimator by using pivotal quantity method with the central limit theorem approach. This confidence interval theory is applied to data of competency-based national exam (UNBK) scores in West Nusa Tenggara Province where its UNBK in the lowest position among other provinces in Indonesia. The method used for estimating parameters is weighted least square. The best model is determined based on the Generalized Cross Validation (GCV) minimum value. Based on the estimated 95% confidence interval of parameters of the multi-response truncated spline semiparametric regression model, the results showed that the insignificant factors affecting the UNBK scores were gender and parental education duration while the report card of scores and USBK scores had a positive effect on the UNBK scores but only the UNBK scores of mathematics that report card of scores factor has a negative effect on it.

EDM is one of the nonconventional machining processes when making workpieces with conventional machining processes is difficult. This process has been used effectively in machining hard, high-strength and high temperature materials such as high speed steel (HSS) materials. In this study, prototype of EDM machines was carried out with engine variables such as current (A), pulse on time (µs) and pulse off time (µs). The material used is high speed steel (HSS) material used in cutting tools such as turning tools and milling tools. Surface roughness and material removal rate are responses observed to determine the quality of material remaval. The quality characteristic of the surface roughness response is "smaller is better" and the quality characteristics of the material removal rate response is "larger is better. The purpose of this study is to determine the best process parameter level to achieve the required performance characteristics in the material removal process using prototype EDM machines using the gray relational analysis (GRA) method, three process parameters are selected such as current, pulse on time, and pulse off time. The taguchi 3 x 3 x 3 design is used as an experimental design.The best parameter level obtained is current 40 ampere, pulse on time 200 µs, pulse off time 20 µs.

The complexity of the analysis may prevent some researchers either from performing the experiments or from conducting an exhaustive analysis of collected data. To this end, a MATLAB framework,MultiRef, which facilitates automated refinements, data extraction and intelligent choice of refinement model based on user choices, has been developed The use ofMultiRefis illustrated on data sets from diffraction tomography, position-resolved diffraction andin situpowder diffraction investigations of crystallization.

The virtual design platform for large mine elevators was established by using the informationization unit technology of manufacturing industry in this paper. On the basis of the virtual design and manufacture platform, 3D digital design, computer-aided analysis and computer-aided process planning under the support of network system were carried out. The informationization standard system for the design and manufacturing of the mine elevator equipments was established. The information classification code of the whole procedure of product design and manufacturing was normalized and unified. A type of multirope friction mine elevator, numbered as JKM-4.5×6, has been developed and put into practice. By means of the virtual design and manufacturing technology, the product design quality could be enhanced. Meanwhile, the manufacturing procedures of prototypes were simplified and cancelled, so that reducing the cycle and cost of the product development. This study results may be helpful for the development of large-sized equipments.

In the real cases, we are frequently faced the problem in which two or more dependent variables are observed at several values of the independent variables, such as at multiple time points. Multi-response nonparametric regression model, especially smoothing spline model, provides powerful tools to model the function which represents association of among the variables. The problem is how to estimate nonparametric regression curve of the multi-response nonparametric regression model. The nonparametric regression curve can be estimated using spline estimator approach, that is by carrying out penalized weighted least-squares optimation. Therefore, we need a covariance matrix which will be used as a weight of the optimation. In this paper, we determine the construction of covariance matrix for both equal and unequal of correlations cases. The results show that the covariance matrices have quite similar construction of diagonal elements but the elements outside the diagonal have very different construction that depend on the construction of the Jordan matrix.

Synthesising computed tomography (CT) images from magnetic resonance images (MRI) plays an important role in the field of medical image analysis, both for quantification and diagnostic purposes. Convolutional neural networks (CNNs) have achieved state-of-the-art results in image-to-image translation for brain applications. However, synthesising whole-body images remains largely uncharted territory, involving many challenges, including large image size and limited field of view, complex spatial context, and anatomical differences between images acquired at different times. We propose the use of an uncertainty-aware multi-channel multi-resolution 3D cascade network specifically aiming for whole-body MR to CT synthesis. The Mean Absolute Error on the synthetic CT generated with the MultiResunc network (73.90 HU) is compared to multiple baseline CNNs like 3D U-Net (92.89 HU), HighRes3DNet (89.05 HU) and deep boosted regression (77.58 HU) and shows superior synthesis performance. We ultimately exploit the extrapolation properties of the MultiRes networks on sub-regions of the body.

Proses wire-electrical discharge machining (wire-EDM) sering digunakan dalam industri manufaktur. Parameter pemesinan yang terdapat dalam wire-EDM di antaranya, arc on time, on time, servo voltage dan wire feed. Pengaturan level yang tidak tepat dalam proses ini akan menyebabkan lapisan recast dan kekasaran permukaan yang tinggi serta laju pengerjaan material yang rendah. Metode optimasi Taguchi dikombinasikan dengan grey fuzzy merupakan metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Rancangan perobaan pada penelitian ini menggunakan matriks orthogonal array L9 karena memvariasikan empat parameter proses pemesinan dengan masing-masing menggunakan tiga level. Replikasi pada eksperimen ini dilakukan sebanyak dua kali. Karakteristik kualitas respon untuk tebal lapisan recast dan kekasaran permukaan adalah semakin kecil semakin baik, sedangkan untuk laju pengerjaan material adalah semakin tinggi semakin baik. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa wire feed dan on time merupakan parameter proses yang paling signifikan dalam menghasilkan multirespon yang optimal. Hasil kombinasi parameter proses yang menghasilkan kualitas respon yang optimal adalah arc on time diseting pada 3 A, on time diseting pada 8 µs, servo voltage diseting pada 100 V dan wire feed diseting pada 60 mm/min.

A series of phenyl end-capped α-oligothiophenes containing four to seven thiophene subunits (4T–7T) was synthesized utilizing palladium-catalyzed cross-coupling reactions. UV/Vis spectroscopic analysis revealed one broad absorption band that shifts bathochromically with increasing number of thiophene units. Structured emission spectra are observed with Stokes shift ν~4000 cm−1 and quantum yields of up to 53%. End-capping of the oligothiophene molecules by phenyl units does not only extend the effective conjugation but also prevents from α–α-homocoupling upon electrochemical oxidation. Accordingly, reversible redox waves are observed in cyclic voltammetry with up to four reversible one-electron processes for the two longer congeners. Analyses of the first two oxidation processes in the framework of multiredox systems provide insight into the stabilization or destabilization of polaronic and bipolaronic states. An unusual zig-zag trend for the first (and to a lesser extend second) oxidation process could be explained by the sterical encumbrance of solubilizing hexyl chains in 5T and 7T molecules which counteract the formation of a fully planar quinoidal oligothiophene backbone.

Optimum mixture designs of multiresponse surface model will be optimum if it weighted w = 1 / qs means the each point of experiment will be given s-replications as much as proportion number of experiment point to number of component. The 5:2:1:2 and 5:3:1:1 compositions of Bokashi fertilizer producing are not statistically difference, therefore both compositions can be used to produce Bokashi fertilizer.

The Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) method is one of the methods used for multirespon optimization in the manufacturing process. In this research, the material used is Glass fiber reinforced polymer (GFRP) composite material which is stacked with stainless steel material. The machining process used is a drilling process conducted on a vertical CNC machine Brother TC-22A-O. The thrust force and torque is the response used to evaluate the performance of the drilling process. The quality characteristics of this response "the smaller the better". The aim of this study was to identify the combination of process parameters to achieve the performance characteristics required in drilling process the GFRP-SS material using Particle Swarm Optimization methode (PSO). The three process parameters i.e. point angle, spindle speed, and feeding speed is used as a process parameter. Point angle was set at two different levels, while the other two were set at three different levels. Therefore, the 2 x 3 x 3 factorial is used as the experimental design. The experiments were replicated two times. The minimum thrust force and torque could be obtained by using point angle, spindle speed, and feeding speed are 118o, 2330 rpm, and 65 mm/minrespectively.

The effect of hoisting load on transverse vibrations of hoisting catenaries during lifting in coal mines was investigated in this study. Firstly, dynamic analyses of the vertical hoisting rope were performed. The results show that transverse vibration plays the dominating role in the coupled dynamics of the vertical rope subjected to external excitation induced by axial fluctuations of head sheave, and the rope tension can be approximated by the quasistatic tension. Secondly, employing dynamic simulations, the effect of hoisting load on the transverse vibrations of hoisting catenaries was discussed. The results show that, under the second-order excitation frequency, a discrepant large transverse amplitude will be excited when the hoisting load ranges from 0 to 5000 kg, leading to collision between the two adjacent catenaries and accelerating the rupture of rope. To solve this problem, according to simulation curves, the self-weight of conveyance (preload) can be optimized from 39500 kg to 49500 kg. Eventually, on-site measurements were performed on the studied machine, validating the accuracy of the effect of hoisting load on transverse vibrations of hoisting catenaries. This investigation will greatly support facility maintenance, machine design, and even engineering optimization for floor type multirope friction mine hoists.

Parameter pemesinan yang kurang tepat dapat menyebabkan hasil pemotongan yang tidak optimal. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengoptimalkan beberapa karakteristik hasil proses pemesinan secara serentak dengan cara mevariasikan variabel-variabel proses pemesinan WEDM. Karakteristik hasil proses yang diteliti antara lain adalah lebar pemotongan, kekasaran permukaan, dan tebal lapisan white layer. Proses pemesinan dilakukan pada material tool steel SKD 11. Arc on time, on time, open voltage dan servo voltage merupakan variabel-variabel proses yang akan divariasikan. Rancangan percobaan dilakukan menggunakan metode Taguchi dengan matriks ortogonal L18(21x33) dengan dua kali replikasi. Sedangkan langkah yang digunakan untuk mengoptimasi karakteristik hasil proses pemesinan yang diteliti secara serentak adalah menggunakan metode grey relational analysis (GRA). Lebar pemotongan, kekasaran permukaan dan tebal lapisan white layer memiliki performance characteristics “smaller-is-better.” Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan nilai variabel-variabel proses pemesinan yang menghasilkan kualitas karakteristik yang paling optimum adalah sebagai berikut: arc on time (1A), on time (4?s), open voltage (70V), dan servo voltage (40V). Dengan persentase kontribusi variabel proses dari yang terbesar berturut-turut adalah on time (65,09%), open voltage (11,35%), arc on time (7,71%), dan servo voltage (5,61%). Wire electrical discharge machining (WEDM) process is commonly used to make punch and dies. WEDM services are typically used to cut hard metals. Inappropriate machining parameters can cause suboptimal cutting results. This research was conducted to optimize several characteristics of the machining process simultaneously by varying WEDM machining process variables. Performance characteristics of the WEDM process include the kerf, surface roughness and thickness of the white layer. The machining process is carried out on SKD 11 tool steel material. Arc on time, on time, open voltage and servo voltage are process variables that will be varied. The experimental matrix design was carried out using the Taguchi method L18 (21x33) orthogonal array with two replications. Then to optimize the performance characteristics of the machining process simultaneously is using the Gray Relational Analysis (GRA) method. Performance characteristics of kerf, surface roughness, and thickness of the white layer is "smaller-is-better". The results of the experiment indicate the value of the machining process variables that produce the most optimum quality performance characteristics are as follows: arc on time (1A), on time (4?s), open voltage (70V), and servo voltage (40V). And the percentage of contribution of the process variables from the largest to smallest are as follows: on time (65,09%), open voltage (11,35%), arc on time (7,71%), and servo voltage (5,61%).

Chemical-looping combustion (CLC) is a novel combustion technology with inherent separation of greenhouseCO2. Extensive research has been performed on CLC in the last decade with respect to oxygen carrier development, reaction kinetics, reactor design, system efficiencies, and prototype testing. Transition metal oxides, such as Ni, Fe, Cu, and Mn oxides, were reported as reactive species in the oxygen carrier particles. Ni-based oxygen carriers exhibited the best reactivity and stability during multiredox cycles. The performance of the oxygen carriers can be improved by changing preparation method or by making mixedoxides. The CLC has been demonstrated successfully in continuously operated prototype reactors based on interconnected fluidized-bed system in the size range of 0.3–50 kW. High fuel conversion rates and almost 100% CO2capture efficiencies were obtained. The CLC system with two interconnected fluidized-bed reactors was considered the most suitable reactor design. Development of oxygen carriers with excellent reactivity and stability is still one of the challenges for CLC in the near future. Experiences of building and operating the large-scale CLC systems are needed before this technology is used commercially. Chemical-looping reforming (CLR) and chemical-looping hydrogen (CLH) are novel chemical-looping techniques to produce synthesis gas and hydrogen deserving more attention and research.

This article contributes to the recent literature in spatial econometrics that focuses on space–time data modeling implementing a multilocation time-series statistical framework to analyze a regional system. Drawing on the global vector autoregression approach introduced in Pesaran, Schuermann, and Weiner, a multiregional spatial vector autoregressive (MultiREG-SpVAR) model is formulated and then applied to study the spatiotemporal transmission of macroeconomic shocks across the regions in Spain. The empirical application analyzes the extent to which a region’s economic output growth is influenced by the growth of its neighbors ( push-in or inward growth effect), and also investigates the relevance of spillovers derived from temporary region specific output growth shocks ( push-out or outward growth effect). Our results identify some regions that perform as “growth generators” within the Spanish regional system since growth shocks from these regions spillover to a large number of regions of the country, playing a key role in the transmission of regional business cycles. The policy implications of our results suggest that national and/or regional governments should stimulate economic activity in these leading regions in order to enhance the economic recovery process of the whole Spanish economy.

Background:: With the increasing mining depth, single rope winding hoist and multi-rope friction hoist may not be feasible in ultra-deep wells. For the single rope winding hoist, larger rope diameter and drum diameter are required, while a lot of inconveniences would arise in the manufacturing process. For the multi-rope friction hoist, the balance tail rope is necessary so that a fluctuation in stress greater than 11.5% of the wire rope breaking force increases. Objective:: The purpose of this patent is to provide an overview of a tension balancing device using new bevel gear system in the multi-rope winding hoist. In the research, varying tension of the rope winded on each drum is conveniently and quickly adjusted in different working conditions. Methods:: A bevel gear balancing device is designed in the multi-rope winding hoist. It mainly consists of big and small output bevel gear, shell, balance bevel gear, and support frame. Results:: Unbalanced tension caused by different lengths of the ropes is compensated without any restrictions. The tension of all wire ropes is always in balance ensured by the balancing mechanism throughout the whole process of lifting and lowering containers. When the winding diameter of the drums is different, the tension of the hoisting-ropes will not be precisely adjusted. But it can be negligible. Conclusion:: The bevel gear balancing device in the patent is installed on the main shaft of the multirope winding hoist. Through analysis, the device was observed to be simple and easy to operate. The tension of the hoisting-ropes can be accurately balanced.

Keberadaan hutan mengrove semakin mendapat banyak tekanan dimana salah satunya adalah gangguan dari aktivitas manusia. Banyaknya penebangan liar hutan mangrove mempengaruhi kondisi kerapatan kanopi hutan mangrove. Penilaian mengenai kualitas hutan mangrove telah banyak dilakukan oleh peneliti dimana salah satu metodenya menggunakan indeks vegetasi untuk menghitung kerapatan kanopi. Semakin tinggi nilai NDVI maka dapat dikatakan kualitas hutan mangrove semakin baik dan begitu juga sebaliknya. Berdasarkan pengamatan di lapangan, hutan mangrove yang memiliki nilai NDVI tinggi banyak didominasi oleh mangrove non sejati, sedangkan hutan mangrove dengan kategori mangrove sejati memiliki nilai NDVI yang relatif lebih rendah. Penelitian sebelumnya menyebutkan salah satu jenis mangrove non sejati dapat digunakan sebagai salah satu indikator kerusakan mangrove di Segara Anakan, Cilacap. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sebaran mangrove sejati di Segara Anakan, Cilacap menggunakan metode OBIA. Data citra satelit yang digunakan adalah citra Landsat 8 OLI dan citra Landsat 7 ETM+. Metode pemisahan obyek hutan mangrove menggunakan proses segmentasi dengan algoritma Multires olu tio n S e g m e n t a tio n , sedangkan identifikasi mangrove sejati menggunakan formula indeks mangrove dimana algoritma ini menggunakan kanal NIR dan SWIR. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan indeks mangrove dari citra Landsat 8 OLI dan Landsat 7 ETM+ terlihat bahwa sebaran mangrove sejati banyak ditemukan pada bagian timur dari lokasi penelitian. Luasan area mangrove sejati yang teridentifikasi dari citra Landsat 7 ETM+ lebih besar dibandingkan luasan mangrove sejati dari citra Landsat 8 OLI.
