This purpose of this research is to explore multiculturalism in the teaching of secondary school visual art in the district of Temerloh, Pahang, Malaysia. Multiculturalism is integral, as a foundation to promote national intergrity. This research adopted the qualitative case study approach. The methods used in this research were document analysis and interview. A total of three document policies were collected and analysed. The interview was conducted using a semi-structured interview towards six visual art teachers in secondary schools and a Head Unit of the Visual Art Education from the Ministry of Education Curriculum Development Division. The research indicated that the visual art teaching has the elements of multiculturalism. The government policy also urged that the aspect of multiculturalism is integrated in the education. Nevertheless, the integration did not happen consciously. The data obtained showed that there were positive values among the school citizens. Teachers' attitudes, especially the beliefs and values were encouraging even though the knowledge to the integration of multiculturalism is still low. In order to attain a higher level of understanding, visual art teachers have to be exposed to workshop, courses and seminars that are appropriate. The Visual Art curriculum needs to be reviewed to reflect multiculturalism a clearer manner.

The article discusses examples of the mutual influence of post-national multiculturalism on the art of leisure and the art of leisure on the emerging new community, its thinking. Multiculturalism for society acts as a kind of new folklore (or post-folklore), designed only to identify a problem that will undoubtedly require further serious scientific study using the methods of various sciences. Today we are just getting ready to meet the phenomenon of multiculturalism.

Multiculturalism is respectful of diversity among individuals and communities in a society, allowing them to retain and express their particular identities and engage in egalitarian dialogue. This article examines how the multiculturalist approach is reflected in the linguistic and semiotic landscape of Arab museums in Israel. It focuses on a case study of the Umm al-Fahm Art Gallery as a window onto the sociocultural realities of Israel. The article’s findings are based on an analysis of the linguistic and semiotic landscape elements of the museum space and a semi-structured in-depth interview with its founder. They attest to deficiencies in the process of retaining and designing the particular cultural elements for the Palestinian-Arab population in Israel, affecting the realization of multiculturalism and compromising egalitarian dialogue between the various communities.

This article invites scholars of race and migration to look at the visual arts more closely within the framework of comparative race theory. We argue that within a neoliberal multicultural context, the marketing of art relies on the commodification and circulation of racial categories, which are reproduced and distributed as globalized racial knowledge. This knowledge is mediated by the racial logic of neoliberal multiculturalism. Specifically, we look at the ways in which the global art market functions as a set of racialized and commodified power relations confronting the “migrant“ artist within an orientalizing curatorial framework.

This exegesis explores emblems of identity worn by contemporary Australians. Emblems are intrinsic to most cultures and have specific histories within Europe, Japan and Indigenous Australia. I investigate the historic use of emblems as a visual language of identification and their relationship to the manner in which society and its communities are structured. Notably, this research focuses on the constructed Australian identity as conveyed through the symbols that adorn leisure-wear and apparel worn at Australian sporting events. Through globalisation and marketing, symbols have been co-opted for “high end” fashion accessories and worldwide distribution. This thesis examines the implications of heraldry, Japanese kamon (family crests) and Indigenous designs in the popular-culture context. The exegesis also analyses the seemingly inextricable connection between alcohol consumption and popular team sports in Australia through branded sponsorship of major sporting codes (mainly male).

Multiculturalism or cultural pluralism is a policy, ideal, or reality that emphasizes the unique characteristics of different cultures in the world, especially as they relate to one another in immigrant receiving nations. The word was first used in 1957 to describe Switzerland but first came into common currency in Canada in the late 1960s2. It quickly spread to other English- speaking and western developed countries.Although There is no clear link between the multiculturalism and the term that so called Balkanization, But this research tries to present the similar possibility of Multiculturalism discourse and Balkanization as a geopolitical term. In fact this research believes that   balkanization is The same idea of multiculturalism in practice, when it comes to the idea of state. On the other hand Vijay Parshad in his book Everybody was Kung Fu fighting  says that "I am interested in “how an investigation of kung fu can help us move from a limited multicultural framework into an antiracist, polycultural one.” This is the research and video that has been made about Bruce lee statue in Mostar, the divided city in Bosnia and Herzegovina", as a method of working in hyper- politicized society.

In White Teeth, Zadie Smith portrays the lives of three immigrant families in Britain in the late half of twentieth century. Besides the generally celebrated theme of multiculturalism, this article argues that the novel is an exploration of the relationship between the identity of the second-generation immigrants and their fathers’ masculinity. The lack of masculinity in the fathers among the first-generation immigrants makes the second-generation immigrants cannot construct their British identity, they have to turn to other fatherly fingers for financial and social capital. Through the portrait of masculinity, the author expresses her concern of the racial discrimination against the immigrants and the importance of first-generation immigrants’ masculinity. But on the other hand, the novel’s portrait of men without masculinity intensified the stereotyped negative image of immigrants.

The conceptual basis of the article includes descriptions, characteristics and relationships between all aspects of reflection. The aim of the work is to present the evolution, structure and learning of language since the evolution of the human species, already of a genetic order, then became cultural, therefore teachable. Culture, through the changes offered by education to intentional learning, is the engine of man's changes and evolution. From language as a biological moment of adaptation we have moved on to an intentional and specific form of language, the structure of which is to be placed in relation to language learning and behaviour. The relationship between language and its physiological bases has been indicated with the support of psycholinguistics: mental, linguistic processes, human cognitive abilities, involved in the conception, elaboration, description and definition of narratives. The investigation of language learning has been referred to classical theories such as the magic number 7 theory (Miller), the universal language theory (Chomsky) and the cognitivist theory (Piaget). The results of the study led to hypothesize and formulate a new teaching/learning model for languages in suitable laboratories and inserted in educational environments. The laboratory is stimulating and is the one generated as CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning), to respond to the connotation of multiculturalism and plurilingualism.

International students’ social transition experiences are often discussed and researched in relation to their experiences on campus and with fellow students. However, international study also involves interactions and connections within students’ local communities beyond formal campus spaces. This paper reports on findings from a recent DAAD-funded research study which focused on the ways international students experience multicultural encounters within their local German communities, using photo-elicitation interviews with 45 students and 6 international office leaders. The study uses a sociological framing of “everyday multiculturalism”, which considered the everyday lived experiences of encountering cultural differences in small, mundane ways throughout our daily lives. The paper concludes with suggestions for practice, reflecting on the ways that DAAD and university staff might embed more holistic supports for international students’ community experiences.

In the Islamist version of civilizational populism, the emotional backlash against the rise of secularism, multiculturalism, progressive ideas, and ‘wokeness,’ has been skillfully employed. While for the populists, populist far right and civilizational populists in the West, usually the Muslims are the civilizational other, we argue in this article, in the Islamist civilizational populism, the list of civilizational enemies of the Muslim way of life also includes feminists and LGBTQ+ rights advocates.Gender populism is a relatively new concept that refers to the use of gender symbolism, language, policy measures, and contestation of gender issues by populist actors. It involves the manipulation of gender roles, stereotypes, and traditional values to appeal to the masses and create divisions between “the people” and “the others.” This paper looks at the case study of gender populism in Turkey, where the Justice and Development Party (AKP) has been in power for over two decades. The AKP has used gender populism to redefine Turkish identity, promote conservative Islamism, and marginalize women and the LGBTQ+ community. The paper also discusses how gender populism has been used by the AKP to marginalize political opponents.
