Der volle Inhalt der QuelleCable-driven parallel robots (CDPR) represent a new class of parallel robots. These robots use wound cables for their legs instead of the rigid link chains used in traditional parallel robots. This technology is cable-dependent and therefore subject to the unilateral forces exerted by the cables on the platform, the cables' elasticity, and sagging due to their own weight. Initially, we present the modeling of this type of robot, particularly focusing on the behavior of so-called Irvine cables, as this offers a more realistic approach compared to other models. Next, we address the use of neural networks (NN) for solving the direct kinametic model (DK), after having previously presented the performance of other solving methods for comparison. NNs exhibit interesting qualities for problem-solving in various fields; however, they will need to be significantly adapted to the DK problem, starting with the ability to determine multiple exact solutions while minimizing computation time, which is a critical challenge in this context. Finally, we will address the problem of calibrating the Young's modulus E of the cable materials, with the goal of identifying the elasticity of each cable based on measurements taken from the CDPR. The calibration aims to meet a crucial safety need in the context of mobility assistance for vulnerable individuals and can be used for maintenance and performance improvement. We demonstrate the feasibility of such calibration through simulation, using two methods: gradient descent and the use of NNs, while also highlighting their current limitations. These limitations indicate that further research and development are necessary to refine these methods for practical use, especially in real-world applications where accuracy and speed are of paramount importance

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis thesis develops an mathematical non-linear optimization model of flight paths of two aircraft in approach minimizing the perceived noise on the ground while energetic constraint is considered. This is an analytical model of non-linear and non-convex optimal control governed by a system of ordinary differential equations resulting from the dynamics of flight and with their associated constraints. Our contribution focuses on the mathematical modeling equations, optimization and algorithmic programming of an acoustic non-linear optimization model of two aircraft simultaneously on approach. The addressed issues are the mathematical development of the «correct» 3D model, their flight dynamics, the mathematical modeling of the optimal control of dynamic system, the consideration of fuel consumption by aircraft as a differential equation with a consumption function specific variable depending on the evolution of their dynamics, the mathematical modeling of the instantaneous objective function representing the overall noise of the two approaching aircraft. Resolution deals with the direct method of sequential quadratic programming with confidence regions while AMPL programming language and KNITRO are considered. An indirect method was applied under the Pontryagin maximum principle, followed by a Runge-Kutta symplectic partitioned discretization to demonstrate the commutation between the direct approach and indirect approach. The expected results confirm optimal trajectories reducing ground noise and fuel consumption of two aircraft

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleDNA-protein interactions are fundamental in many biological processes such as gene regulation and DNA repair. This thesis is focused on an analysis of the physical and dynamic properties of DNA-protein interfaces. In a study of four DNA-protein complexes, we have shown that DNA-protein interfaces are dynamic and that the salt bridges and hydrogen bonds break and reform over a time scale of hundreds of picoseconds. In certain cases, this oscillation of protein side chains is able to modulate interaction specificity. We have also developed a coarse-grain model of proteins in order to deconvolute the nature of protein-DNA interactions, identifying factors that modulate the stability and conformation of DNA and factors responsible for the protein-DNA recognition specificity. The design of our model can be changed from a simple volume mimicking the protein to a more complicated representation by the addition of formal charges on polar residues, or by adding atomic-scale side chains in the case of key residues with more precise behaviors, such as aromatic rings that intercalate between DNA base pairs
