Patris, Julie. „Contributions en méthodes pour le suivi de mysticètes par acoustique passive“. Electronic Thesis or Diss., Toulon, 2019. http://www.theses.fr/2019TOUL0016.
Der volle Inhalt der QuellePassive acoustic monitoring has a growing importance in marine mammals studies. This work is concerned with the largest of marine mammals, the blue whale (Balaenoptera musculus). We obtained a new corpus of acoustic data in the northern part of Chile, in the Humboldt archipelago. We show the presence of a song characteristic of the 'Chilean' blue whale, formerly described in southern Chile and Galapagos islands. Based on this sang type, we propose new methods of analysing and classifying pulsed sounds. Using the fundamental frequency thus obtained, we analyse the blue whale's sang, showing a general evolution of the frequency on a decadal scale. We also construct a method of monohydrophone source localisation based on high performance simulation of the acoustic wave field, by spectral elements methods. We conclude emphasizing on the importance of bioacoustic for monitoring the marine world

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleWhen you display a 3D object on a computer screen, we transform this 3D scene into a 2D image, which is a set of organized colored pixels. We call Rendering all the process that aims at finding the correct color to give those pixels. This is done by integrating all the light rays coming for every directions that the object's surface reflects back to the pixel, the whole being ponderated by a visibility function. Unfortunately, a computer can not compute an integrand. We therefore have two possibilities to solve this issue: We find an analytical expression to remove the integrand (statistic based strategy). Numerically approximate the equation by taking random samples in the integration domain and approximating the integrand value using Monte Carlo methods. Here we focused on numerical integration and sampling theory. Sampling is a fundamental part of numerical integration. A good sampler should generate points that cover the domain uniformly to prevent bias in the integration and, when used in Computer Graphics, the point set should not present any visible structure, otherwise this structure will appear as artifacts in the resulting image. Furthermore, a stochastic sampler should minimize the variance in integration to converge to a correct approximation using as few samples as possible. There exists many different samplers that we will regroup into two families: Blue Noise samplers, that have a low integration variance while generating unstructured point sets. The issue with those samplers is that they are often slow to generate a pointset. Low Discrepancy samplers, that minimize the variance in integration and are able to generate and enrich a point set very quickly. However, they present a lot of structural artifacts when used in Rendering. Our work aimed at developing hybriod samplers, that are both Blue Noise and Low Discrepancy

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis industrial PhD Thesis realized in common with LCPI and ELM Leblanc (Bosch group) is entitled: "Optimization of innovation performances: An approach combining technical creativity and research of commercial success".The research work focuses, on the one hand, on the analysis of the characteristics of innovation and more precisely on the assessment of company innovation capacity and, on the other hand, on the inventory of methodolgies which are likely to develop this capacity. Two solutions, identified as complementary, are identified and their assumed impact on innovation capacity is described in the framework of hypothesis. These solutions are TRIZ and Blue Ocean Strategy. Their potential is then tested within experiments in an industrial case: the development of a new generation of hybrid heating appliances
Tian, Roger Bi Diangoné. „Sources environnementales de Mycobacterium ulcerans en Côte d'Ivoire“. Thesis, Aix-Marseille, 2015. http://www.theses.fr/2015AIXM5040.
Der volle Inhalt der QuelleBuruli ulcer is the third mycobacteriosis in the world after tuberculosis, leprosy. Buruli ulcer is widespread in at least 33 countries including West Africa which has the highest prevalence. Among the countries in which Buruli ulcer is reported, Ivory Coast which we come from has the highest incidence of 36% reported in the World Health Organization. Buruli ulcer is caused by Mycobacterium ulcerans, an environmental mycobacterium whose reservoir and source of transmission to humans, are not understood. Our review of the literature focused on environmental sources of this mycobacterium in West Africa, which converge stagnant aquatic environment. On this basis, we conducted an extensive campaign of environmental sampling in Ivory Coast and detected by real-time PCR M. ulcerans in stagnant water, soil and feces of an herbivorous mammal Thryonomys swinderianus. Then we experimentally proved that M. ulcerans could survive in the soil for at least four months. These results suggest that, in Ivory Coast, stagnant water, soil and animal could play a role in the life cycle of the bacterium. In the second work, we have upgraded aquatic tropical plants by the use of extracts in the culture medium of M. ulcerans, slow growing mycobacteria to accelerate its growth. In the third work, we proposed the methylene blue, less expensive, easy to access as an alternative treatment for Buruli ulcer. It is appropriate to resume the experiment on methylene blue by other teams of researchers and after reproducing our experimental data, suggest the topical use of purified, non-toxic methylene blue in human clinical
