The intriguing black posters appeared along Montreal’s Saint-Laurent Boulevard and other key locations in early May. Beside “Dummies Theatre” in small print, the large, luminescent blue-on-black block of type on the top says “Medea in the Media” - an alliteration as seductive as it is confusing, leaving a nagging impression of misreading. A band of haunting black and white images across the middle of the poster has the same effect, seducing while eluding straightforward comprehension: on the left, a misty field with a bit of railway track; on the right, the rippled surface of a sea or lake. The two images bleed into each other in a middle panel where the field, the railway track and the curving side of a moving train become immersed in a film of watery ripples. In the lower part of the poster the same mysterious blue type proclaims “Free Theatre,” providing dates and a nameless Saint-Laurent Boulevard address. Anyone checking the address on the way up the street would discover a door leading into a stairway to the second floor above Segal’s Supermarket.

Kansalaislähtöisten mediahankkeiden tarkoituksena on tuottaa sellaista julkista keskustelua, joka innostaisi kansalaisia ottamaan osaa julkiseen elämään ja vaikuttamaan yhteisiin asioihin. Suomalaisissa mediataloissa on runsaan kymmenen vuoden aikana viritelty erilaisia kansalaisjournalismihankkeita ja nimetty sellaiseen jopa oma toimittaja. Lisäksi yliopistotutkijoiden johdolla on Tampereella toteutettu erilaisia verkkovaikuttamiseen liittyviä projekteja.

In this study examined the effectiveness and opportunities of teaching and learning through media resources. In addition, the issues of effective integration of digital technologies and media resources into the independent learning process of students were studied. The results showed that media resources increase students' motivation and interest in subjects and ensure learning efficiency. This is because the effectiveness of the learning process is directly related to the interest and motivation of learners to learn. Considering that media is interesting and attractive for everyone, the use of media in an educational process based on educational goals can be one of the best solutions to increase the motivation of students to learn. Due to media resources in the educational process, a new innovative method of teaching and learning practice was created, which will achieve the effectiveness of education by the fact that students learn at an individual pace, interact with the teacher when they need it, actively and willingly participate in the educational process.

Introduction. Media researchers are still worried about the quality of journalism, the presence or absence of quality journalistic texts. It can be argued that the problem of the quality of journalism in various aspects seems to have won a central place in academic debate. Topicality. Goal. Media researchers are still worried about the quality of journalism, the presence or absence of quality journalistic texts. It can be argued that the problem of the quality of journalism in its various aspects seems to have won a central place in academic debate. The purpose of the article is to determine whether there is a relationship between the two phenomena mentioned above. The object of the article is conservative media. The subject of the article is media frames within which conservative media operate. Research methods are based on a combination of general scientific methods of studying the specificity of analysis of social and communication phenomena. The analytical-synthetic method and the method of determining the specific segmentation of the targeted delineated content were used. Results. Under the journalistic frame, we understand some media coverage of a problem in such a way that should facilitate a certain interpretation of what actually happened, with an emphasis on specific details and nuances. In this sense, the goal of conservatives is to determine whether the media frameworks in which journalistic content was delivered and which dominated dispute resolution are those characteristics that distinguish collective action from those social movements that are commonly used to digitalize society. In this case, it is a question of whether conservative journalistic discourse, in general, assumes the form and essence of digitalizing discourse in favor of the rejection of rhetoric, which defends the objection of conscience as a form of protest. Conclusions and Prospects. There is a component of justice; its inclusion in the general discourse of discussions is a key factor in building content that promotes social digitizers. In the context of conservative content, this element is particularly evident through three features: the inclusion of a lexicon used by the authors on the topic of discussion; own discourse of conservative media; the dissemination by conservative media of such arguments made by the public that indicate complaints about education reform. Keywords: audience, journalism, conservative mass media, content, strategy, pressure.

Media freedom and media control are two concepts closely related to democracy where it involves the struggle and cooperation between media and the government. Although Freedom House – an international body that classified a few countries in Europe as practicing press freedom, the truth is absolute press freedom does not exist. Those countries actually have their own control mechanism. In Malaysia, media freedom and media control are always questioned because the government was accused of using various reasons to control media freedom. The media freedom issue is considered as not important for a developing country like Malaysia because multiracial harmony is essential in order for the government to focus on the development. However, the advancement of technology has loosened the government’s control and makes it more complex. This situation has raised concerns about how the media can be controlled in the era of new media. Through a literature review of secondary sources, this article is going to evaluate the control element in the Agenda Setting Theory proposed by McCombs and Shaw (1972) and how press freedom in Malaysia has been impacted by the advancement of communication technology. This article will also suggest a few solutions for the government to control the media in the era of new media.

This paper contributes to the growing literature on how “new media” is influencing “old media” by tracking references to an extensive list of political blogs in stories run by seventeen prominent print media outlets during the last ten years. The findings presented here show that although journalists frequently use political bloggers as sources in their news coverage, they only reference certain blogs in certain ways at certain times. To be precise, journalists turn to political blogs primarily during national election campaigns and this turn is commonly in the direction of a relatively small group of interactive, liberal blogs.
