This research aims to better comprehend & dissect the supply & demand in automotive industry of Pakistan. The primary objective of this study is to delve into casing-works which empowers us to better understand the biggest piece of the overall automotive (car) industry of Pakistan by utilizing interest & expense parameters of automotive items in business sector. The research aims to determine market shares of automotive (car) brands in Pakistani automotive industry. Finding confirms that in Pakistan in automotive or automobile (cars) industry, the Suzuki brand is enjoying the highest market share among the selected/ outlined brands and leading the industry with 29% of market shares. Toyota is enjoying 26% market shares while Honda brand is the third most winning brands in automotive industry in Pakistan with 25% market shares. Further, Nissan, Kia and Daihatsu have 10%, 6% and 4% market shares respectively for the years 2000 to 2019. In developing countries like Pakistan individuals have relatively lower wages, thus a vehicle-purchase decision requires more due-diligence, whereby the accessibility of car-parts in neighborhood markets, how pricy the car parts are, & the resale estimation of brand, are the primary decision-marking factors. The highest market shares which is being enjoyed by Suzuki brand confirms that people of Pakistan buy Suzuki brand mostly due to the above mentioned factors. Therefore automotive businesses need not only focus upon bringing vehicles into the Pakistani market, but also need to focus upon rating high in the purchase decision-making factors as that of car-parts availability, credit/installment payments, and a worth-while resale price.

Dies schließt metallurgische Untersuchungen ein.   This paper invstigates how the material behavior of sheet metal components is affected by introducing features for single part tracing. Traceability of single parts is an important tool for reducing error sensitivity and thus for increasing the resilience of forming processes. For this purpose, two common methods of direct part marking are tested on flat tensile specimens and comprehensively evaluated. In addition, detailed metallurgical investigations are carried out.

In order to spur the automotive and electronic industries to meet domestic needs and compete in the era of globalization, the development of manufacturing industries is not only based on large-scale industries, but also needs to be developed into Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). The obstacles faced today are limited capital, human resources (HR), product development and marketing procedures. PT BesQ Sarana Abadi is a small and medium business (UKM) engaged in the business of making rubber parts. In order to improve competitiveness, PT BesQ Sarana Abadi is researched with the formulation of the right competitiveness strategy. The objectives of the study are: (1) to identify factors that influence the competitive advantage of rubber and automotive parts products; (2) analyzing internal and external factors that affect the competitiveness of rubber and automotive parts industry products using the Internal Factor Evaluation (IFE) and External Factor Evaluation (EFE) methods; (3) develop competitiveness strategies for the automotive and electronic spare parts products industry using Internal-External (IE) methods and Strengths, Weakness, Opportunities, Threats (SWOT) and Balance Score Cards (BSC); (4) formulating priority strategies to improve the competitiveness of rubber and automotive parts industry products using the Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM) method. From the analysis results, there are many weaknesses in the company. In this case a high opportunity value causes the company to operate, because in the IFE matrix the value of strength is greater than the value of weakness. In the EFE matrix, the opportunity value is greater than the threat. With the SWOT and BSC methods identified strategies needed, set the priority of the strategy by using the QSPM method.

The study aims at exploring the phenomenon of regional production network in ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) automotive sector/industry by employing a firm as well as macro-level analysis of data gathered through combining techniques between desk-study and a series of fieldwork. It examines patterns of production and manufacturing activities of leading Japanese automotive firms and their upgrading strategies as showcased by Toyota in an endeavor to cast the much-aspired ASEAN regional value chains (RVCs). Production shifts have been apparent as indicated in the trade patterns and trends in value added of key automotive products traded between Japan and its ASEAN partners during the past 25 years. The shifts have resulted in deepened localization of production and manufacturing activities of Japanese automotive lead firms in ASEAN countries. Such dynamic shifts, as shown especially in passenger cars and automotive parts and accessories, have further prompted upgrading efforts by the lead firms (along with their suppliers, subsidiaries, and local partners) which suggest the functioning RVCs. The upgrading embraces areas of upstream (on research, development, and design or RD&D), midstream (on production, manufacturing, and assembly) as well as downstream (on sales, marketing, and after-market) activities. Future policy outlook lays on the ability of firms and other related stakeholders in the region’s automotive sector/industry to team up in the upgrading activities and hence capture the value-added. ASEAN-Japan long and strong historical relations facilitate the enhanced collaborative automotive industrial development, particularly in the areas of technical capacity formation and supporting industries.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to empirically investigate how context influences the quality of business relationships. This theoretical question is studied from the point of view of trust, one of the important components of business relationship quality. The authors study how trust is related to the dynamics and management of the business relationship in the context of an emerging market. Design/methodology/approach This paper is based on qualitative interviews with 15 spare-parts resellers in the Tunisian automotive industry. The authors take a monadic view, interviewing resellers about their relationships with their wholesalers-importers. The decision to undertake the research in Tunisia is based on three factors. First, Tunisia is an emerging country and there is very little published research based in the Maghreb countries. Second, the Tunisian automotive parts market structure is relatively simple and, hence, easily understood, with most spare-parts being imported because of the low level of local production. Third, the actors in the study are all Tunisian companies, so research allows us to explore relationships between local companies in an emerging country. Findings The authors find that different kinds of trust play different roles over the dynamics of the relationship. Perceived trust is more important at the emergent stage of a relationship, and as the two parties learn from each other, experienced trust becomes more important in the established relationships. The initial perceived trust creates the possibility of building trust, and when mutual trust exists between the parties, it motivates them to maintain the relationship, but there is always the threat of the degradation of the quality of the relationship because of the violation or destruction of the trust. Research limitations/implications This paper shows that more care should be taken when using trust as the variable under scrutiny. Different aspects of trust manifest themselves at various stages of the relationship building cycle. Practical implications The results emphasize that when initiating a business relationship, managers first need to create perceived trust. Thereafter, once trust is built up, it is the trust that may “manage” or act to control the on-going relationship as long as the partners’ behavior or network changes do not violate the trust. Originality/value The results of this paper show that there is a mutual but not necessarily symmetrical or balanced influence of trust on the behavior of the partners involved. The influence of the different parties is dependent on the power architecture, the history of the relationship and the network position of the actors.

Star Spart Indonesia in Sidoarjo, East Java is an automotive and spare part company which sells various national and international quality automotive products such as baterries, oil, tyres, and other spare parts. In promoting the products, this company is facing many competitors, so it has to collaborate with other retail shops and main dealers to win the competition. Therefore, the company is planning a proper marketing strategy to market the products in order to strive the organizational goals (to survive, to grow, and to multiply). This research is using Saving Matrix method to schedule limitied transportation vehicles to deliver goods from one facility to various customers. Another method is using the Farthest Insert, Nearest Insert and Nearest Neighbour method. Using the Saving Matrix method, the company can spend Rp. 45,802,836 for transportion costs using company's vehicles. If the company rents the vehicles to other outsourcing company, the transportation costs will be Rp. 49,000,000. There is a saving of Rp. 3,197,164 if the company uses own vehicles. PT.XYZ is one of the companies engaged in the automotive manufacturing industy, where it produces spare parts for cars, motorcycles and trucks. Along with marketing and producing the products, PT.XYZ continues to implement customer satisfaction and the quality of spare parts produced. The company must anticipate the possibility of production capacity limitations; this must be done as well as possible at the minimum cost. For that, the aggregate heuristic planning is proposed for planning the establishment of a level for production capacity to meet the level of demand obtained from orders with the aim of minimizing total production costs. Aggregate Planning is a process of determining the level of overall production capacity to meet the level of demand obtained from forecasting and order with the aim of minimizing the total cost of production. In this study, three heuristic methods were tried, namely labor control method, subcontracting mixed method, and overtime mixed methods. Based on the results of the study it is known that the subcontracting mixed method is the best method with total aggregate cost of IDR 3,080,689,770, then the labor control method with a total of aggregate cost of IDR 3,080,798,198 and the overtime mixed method, with a total aggregate cost of IDR 3,081,815,315.

Without their presence, there is the question of product placement, product pricing, and marketing activities. The strategy of the manufacturer or dealer himself is of the utmost importance, as the company creates value and how it achieves a competitive advantage, while the cost advantage sources depend on the structure of the given industry. Also crucial for the auto industry is the supply chain of spare parts. Price is a strategic and tactical variable that influences sales volume.

Purpose This paper aims to examine the impact of dynamic capabilities of new product development (NPD) team on project performance, including efficiency and effectiveness. Design/methodology/approach Data were collected from NPD team members who have worked on radical new product projects in large manufacturing firms in Thailand. Respondents represented different departments, including research and development (R&D), quality control, production and marketing. These individuals worked in a wide range of large manufacturing industries with an average of more than 500 employees. These industries include food, automotive, auto parts and electric and electronics products. Findings The results indicate that NPD team with sensing, learning and integrating capabilities can increase project effectiveness. In addition, teams with high learning, integrating and coordinating capabilities will enhance project efficiency. Research limitations/implications First, the research findings may not be generalizable in all aspects to other industries. Second, the use of cross-sectional data in this study may not be appropriate for testing causal relationships among constructs. Third, although the samples of this study were from a wide range of functional areas, the majority were R&D personnel. Practical implications To improve project effectiveness, project managers should consider investing in information technologies that provide a wide range of information sources, such as business research databases and academic journals. To improve project efficiency, the managers can establish both formal and informal activities during NPD projects. These social activities can provide opportunities for team members to physically meet and adjust their personal behavior to get along with each other. Originality/value These findings provide a wider picture of the beneficial role of dynamic capabilities of NPD teams toward project performance, including efficiency and effectiveness.

In sterolithgraphy rapid prototyping, the support can constraint the parts deformation, and avoid a lot of problems such as collapse, shift and imbalance of the parts. It is of great importance in improving the overall efficiency of rapid prototyping technics software through enhancing the support generation efficiency. Based on this, this paper proposes a discrete-marking support algorithm for treatment of processing on manufactured part model of all Triangle-based discrete-marking on the support plane. The new mesh discrete-marking and automatic support generation algorithm has been successfully applied to the Sterolithography apparatus (SLA). Practical application indicates that the new support generation algorithm improve considerably the support technics efficiency.

Annotation:
The marking system by laser shock wave (LSW) based on liquid crystal mask, which differs entirely from marking by laser ablation (or laser thermal effect), was established. Two-dimension (2D) nondestructive markings based on liquid crystal mask were prepared by LSW, and the distribution of residual stresses in laser-shocked region was measured and analyzed. The results showed that tensile residual stresses of sample surface were converted into compressive residual stresses by LSW, which is a nondestructive marking for aviation key parts.
