The emergence of reason can lead the reader to self-freedom and autonomy, both implying to go beyond the illusions of novel, by which the pedagogic effects of reading are possible. The turning of mind, informed of the dangers of confusion between objective and hallucinatory experiences about reading itself, involves a rational rereading of the book as an arrangement leading to awareness and concerned with the mechanism of transformation of the reader's mind. His dialogic conception of relationships between individual, culture and society, seen in a historical perspective the hominization process- makes him a forerunner of contemporary human sciences
