Relaxation of the thermoremanent magnetisation M in oxide superconductors BaPb 0.75 Bi 0.25 O 3, YBa 2 Cu 3 O 7−δ, Bi 2 Sr 2 CaCu 2 O x and Bi 4 Sr 3 Ca 4 Cu 4 O x is measured at T=4.2 K by the SQUID magnetometer. It is well described by the law M(t)=M0- Sln t, where t is the time, M0 and S are constants. The dependence of the decay rate S on the external magnetic field H is investigated in detail for the ceramics BaPb 0.75 Bi 0.25 O 3 with a low first critical magnetic field H cl ~12 Oe .

Ferrimagnetic nanoparticles are used in biotechnology (as drug carriers, biosensors, elements of diagnostic sets, contrast agents for magnetic resonance imaging), catalysis, electronics, and for the production of magnetic fluids and magnetorheological suspensions, etc. The use of magnetic nanoparticles requires enhanced magnetic characteristics, in particular, high saturation magnetisation.The aim of our study was to obtain single-phased magnetic nanoparticles of MnxFe3–xO4 solid solutions at room temperature. We also studied the dependence of the changes in their structure, morphology, and magnetic properties on the degree of substitution in order to determine the range of the compounds with the highest magnetisation value.A number of powders of Mn-substituted magnetite MnxFe3–xO4 (x = 0 – 1.8) were synthesized by means of co-precipitation from aqueous solutions of salts. The structural and micro-structural features and magnetic properties of the powders were studied using magnetic analysis, X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, and IR spectroscopy.The X-ray phase analysis and IR spectroscopy confirm the formation of single-phase compounds with cubic spinel structures. The maximum increase in saturation magnetization as compared to non-substituted magnetite was observed for Mn0.3Fe2.7O4 (Ms = 68 A·m2·kg–1 at 300 K and Ms = 85 A·m2·kg–1 at 5 K). This is associated with the changes in the cation distribution between the tetrahedral and octahedral cites.A method to control the magnetic properties of magnetite by the partial replacement of iron ions in the magnetite structure with manganese has been proposed in the paper. The study demonstrated that it is possible to change the magnetisation and coercivity of powders by changing the degree of substitution. The maximum magnetisation corresponds to the powder Mn0.3Fe2.7O4. The nanoparticles obtained by the proposed method have a comparatively high specific magnetisation and a uniform size distribution. Therefore the developed materials can be used for the production of magnetorheological fluidsand creation of magnetically controlled capsules for targeted drug delivery and disease diagnostics in biology and medicine (magnetic resonance imaging). The double perovskites Ca2-xSrxMnWO6(x = 0.0, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0) have been prepared as pure phases by a conventional solid-state reaction process. Stoichiometric amounts of CaCO3,SrCO3, MnO and WO3were mixed, ground and calcined in a nitrogen atmosphere. X-ray and neutron powder diffraction (NPD), together with magnetisation measurements were carried out in order to characterise the materials. The NPD and magnetisation measurements, performed at different temperatures, were made in order to correlate the materials structural and magnetic properties. Susceptibility- Temperature (ϰ-T) curves were measured between 2K and 200K in field cooled (FC) and zero-field-cooled (ZFC) modes with an applied field (H) up to 3T. Rietveld analysis of NPD data shows that the samples were B-site ordered perovskites with different types of lattice symmetry. Magnetisation measurements at low temperatures indicate an antiferromagnetic ordering of the magnetic moments.

The first 60 seconds of the magnetisation decay M(t) of a multifilamentary BSCCO/Ag tape has been studied by a vibrating sample magnetometer. Measurements were performed at different temperatures T [4.2 K ÷ 45 K] and DC magnetic fields up to 11 T. The behaviour in the first seconds after the external field is stopped are often neglected due to the presence of far from equilibrium magnetic states, which are function of the initial conditions or of the sample characteristics. We have observed a fast decay in the first 10 seconds, which has been analysed at different temperatures and several external fields. Finally a possible mechanism, responsible of the observed behaviour is discussed.

We report on spatial distribution of structural and superconducting properties in directionally solidified YBCO samples. The recrystallization process of produced YBCO bar was determined by a motion into a horizontal furnace at very high pulling rate in a fixed thermal gradient. Texturing and stoichiometry of several slices cut from the original bar have been studied by XRD and SEM with coupled EDS analysis. The magnetisation cycles of all the slices (M(H) Loops) were obtained by means a Vibrating Sample Magnetometer at 70 K using applied magnetic fields up to 2 tesla.

SrHo 2O 4 is a geometrically frustrated magnet in which the magnetic Ho 3 + ions are connected through a network of zigzag chains and coupled by several competing interactions. The Ho 3 + ions show a pronounced Ising anisotropy at low temperatures, and the spins on the two crystallographically inequivalent magnetic sites point along orthogonal crystallographic axes. Using single-crystal neutron diffraction, we report on the development of complex and highly anisotropic short- and long-range magnetic order in SrHo 2O 4 induced by an applied magnetic field. For H ‖ c , the diffuse scattering around the k = 0 positions is suppressed and above 0.5 T the spin structure for one of the Ho sites is long-range and ferromagnetic. For H ‖ b , planes of diffuse scattering at Q = ( h k ± l 2 ) are split by the field, and an up–up–down magnetic order associated with a 1/3-magnetisation plateau develops at 0.8 T. Further increasing the field above 1.2 T allows the second Ho site to also order in a long-range ferromagnetic structure.

Abstract Bi-phase multiferroic composites of NiFe2O4/Ba0.94Ca0.06Ti0.975Zr0.025O3 (BCTZ/NFO) were successfully fabricated by high-energy ball milling combined with heat treatment. X-ray diffraction patterns and Raman spectra confirmed the successful coexistence of BCTZ and NFO phases in the final composites, which had an average particle size of 50 nm. However, the number of large particles increased with the increased NFO concentration in the composites. Optical properties of the composites were also modified by the NFO content, where the absorption band tended to the visible region and band-gap energies (E g) decreased with the increase of NFO. Ferromagnetic and ferroelectric properties of the BCTZ/NFO composites were also tuned by NFO additive content. Both saturation magnetisation (M s) and remnant magnetisation (M r) increased with the increase of NFO content, where the maximum values of M s = 22.52 emu g−1 and M r = 1.48 emu g−1 for composites with 40% NFO concentration, while coercivity (H c) was maintained at about 60 Oe. Maximum polarisation (P max), remnant polarisation (P r), and coercive field (E c) values all increased with NFO concentration, with 10% NFO providing the highest P max (= 0.249 μC cm−2) and P r (= 0.116 μC cm−2) values, and 30% NFO providing the highest E c (= 1.720 kV cm−1) value with a maximum applied voltage of 1 kV. Therefore, the multiferroic properties of BCTZ/NFO composites could be enhanced with an appropriate concentration of NFO, which led to a wide range of practical applications in the advanced electronic device field.

Homogeneously weighted moving average ( H W M A ) charts have recently achieved popularity for monitoring small changes in process parameters (location and/or dispersion). Furthermore, the D H W M A (double H W M A ) and T H W M A (triple H W M A ) are the advanced versions of the H W M A charts. The H W M A chart for the process dispersion is designed to detect only the upward (one-sided) shift (i.e., process deterioration). Employing a two-sided chart for concurrently detecting both process improvement and process deterioration is an important aspect of statistical process monitoring. By taking this point as motivation, one and two-sided T H W M A charts (symbolized as the T H W M A V ) are proposed for monitoring the process dispersion. The Monte Carlo simulations are performed to investigate the performance behavior of the T H W M A V charts in terms of certain performance indicators, including A R L , S D R L , E Q L , R A R L , and P C I . The comparison among the T H W M A V versus existing charts ( D H W M A V , H W M A V , T E W M A V , D E W M A V , and E W M A V ) indicates that the T H W M A V charts outperform the existing charts. Finally, a dataset is also analyzed to illustrate the implementation of the T H W M A V charts.

Maghemite (γ-Fe2O3) nanoparticles were synthesised using the coprecipitation method, with different concentrations (5 M, 10 M, 11 M, 12 M and 13.4 M) of sodium hydroxide (NaOH) as the precipitation agent. The resulting powder was characterised using x-ray diffraction (XRD), vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM), and transmission electron microscope (TEM). All characterisations were performed at room temperature. The XRD results showed that the γ-Fe2O3 powder was in a single phase for samples synthesised using 11 M, 12 M and 13.4 M NaOH and the crystallite size ranged between 5.74 nm–6.42 nm. TEM observations and analysis showed that the particles were in a cubo-spheroidal shape and the mean physical size of the nanoparticles was between 8.52 nm and 8.59 nm. Hysteresis loop indicated that γ-Fe2O3 nanoparticles have superparamagnetic properties with an acceptable range of saturation magnetisation of 31.08 emu/g–48.88 emu/g and negligible coercivity value. MTT assay demonstrated that the γ-Fe2O3 nanoparticles exhibited biocompatibility with V79-4 cells at different dosages (1000 μg/mL–50 μg/mL) for 48 h. The results suggested that maghemite can be a valuable low-cost biomagnetic material in biomedical applications.

"Women in m a n a g e n t " s t u d i e s have so f a r mostly c o n c e n t r a t e d o n w o m e n already in a leadi n g p o s i t i o n . T h e p r o b l em is, however, that these women have very little t o say a b o u t why t h e numb e r of w o m e n in l e a d i n g p o s i t i o n is so small. For this reason I have concentrated on following the c a r e e r d e v e l o p m e n t of a g r o u p of w o m e n working o n lower levels of a big, d e c e n t r a l i s e d g o v e r m e n t a l o r g a n i s a t i o n . Some of t h e women have clear c a r e e r a m b i t i o n s ; they want to be p r o m o t e d and gain l e a d i n g positions, o t h e r s have not s t a t e d any personal i n t e r e s t in p u r s u i n g a career. T h e study conc e n t r a t e s on i n t e r a c t i o n a n d intrapsychological as well as s t r u c t u r a l m o d e l s of analysis a r e used. My h y p o t h e s i s is t h a t t h e c u l t u r a l r e p r e s e n t a t i o n s of f e m i n i n i t y a n d those of l e a d e r s h i p are diverg e n t , a fact w h i c h compels w o m e n to use specific s t r a t e g i e s in o r d e r to r e c o n c i l e g e n d e r identity with that of a leader. Since this article is a work-in-progess-report the r e u l t s I p r e s e n t a r e only p r e l i m i n a r y . It is possible, however, t o i d e n u f y at least two significant strategies. O n e c o u l d b e c a l l e d a g e n d e r - n e u t r a l strategy, wher e t h e s i g n i f i c a n c e of g e n d e r in l e a d e r s h i p is d e n i - e d a l t o g e t h e r . Multifractional processes are stochastic processes with non-stationary increments whose local regularity and self-similarity properties change from point to point. The paradigmatic example of them is the classical Multifractional Brownian Motion (MBM) { M ( t ) } t ∈ R \{{\mathcal {M}}(t)\}_{t\in \mathbb {R}} of Benassi, Jaffard, Lévy Véhel, Peltier and Roux, which was constructed in the mid 90’s just by replacing the constant Hurst parameter H {\mathcal {H}} of the well-known Fractional Brownian Motion by a deterministic function H ( t ) {\mathcal {H}}(t) having some smoothness. More than 10 years later, using a different construction method, which basically relied on nonhomogeneous fractional integration and differentiation operators, Surgailis introduced two non-classical Gaussian multifactional processes denoted by { X ( t ) } t ∈ R \{X(t)\}_{t\in \mathbb {R}} and { Y ( t ) } t ∈ R \{Y(t)\}_{t\in \mathbb {R}} . In our article, under a rather weak condition on the functional parameter H ( ⋅ ) {\mathcal {H}}(\cdot ) , we show that { M ( t ) } t ∈ R \{{\mathcal {M}}(t)\}_{t\in \mathbb {R}} and { X ( t ) } t ∈ R \{X(t)\}_{t\in \mathbb {R}} as well as { M ( t ) } t ∈ R \{{\mathcal {M}}(t)\}_{t\in \mathbb {R}} and { Y ( t ) } t ∈ R \{Y(t)\}_{t\in \mathbb {R}} only differ by a part which is locally more regular than { M ( t ) } t ∈ R \{{\mathcal {M}}(t)\}_{t\in \mathbb {R}} itself. On one hand this result implies that the two non-classical multifractional processes { X ( t ) } t ∈ R \{X(t)\}_{t\in \mathbb {R}} and { Y ( t ) } t ∈ R \{Y(t)\}_{t\in \mathbb {R}} have exactly the same local path behavior as that of the classical MBM { M ( t ) } t ∈ R \{{\mathcal {M}}(t)\}_{t\in \mathbb {R}} . On the other hand it allows to obtain from discrete realizations of { X ( t ) } t ∈ R \{X(t)\}_{t\in \mathbb {R}} and { Y ( t ) } t ∈ R \{Y(t)\}_{t\in \mathbb {R}} strongly consistent statistical estimators for values of their functional parameter.

O segmento de papel e celulose tem posição de destaque na economia do setor florestal brasileiro e mundial. O objetivo deste estudo foi analisar a dinâmica da produção, importação, exportação e consumo aparente de três tipos de papéis (P+W: imprimir e escrever, H+S: uso doméstico e sanitário e N: jornal) no período de 1961 a 2016. Para essa análise foram utilizados dados extraídos do sistema FAOSTAT da FAO. Os resultados encontrados demonstram que nesse período foram produzidas 77 M t de P+W, 24 M t de H+S e 9 M t de N. As importações totalizaram 10 M t, 188 mil t e 12 M t, respectivamente para P+W, H+S e N. As exportações no período foram de 25 M t, 500 mil t e 334 mil t, respectivamente. O consumo aparente foi de 61 M t, 24 M t e 21 M t, respectivamente. O consumo médio per capita desses papéis no período foi de 6,98; 2,58 e 2,57 kg.hab-1. O consumo de H+S deu-se de forma crescente em toda a série temporal, enquanto que para P+W e N foi decrescente, sobretudo a partir de 2010. O Brasil é superavitário em P+W e H+S e deficitário na balança comercial em N. Conclui-se que há uma tendência de queda de consumo em P+W e N e aumento de H+S, essa tendência é verificada na produção, importação e consumo. As exportações de H+S e N ainda são pouco expressivas. Já as importações de P+W e N apresentaram tendência de queda desde 2010.

Then, as a consequence, we prove that if ( R , 𝔪 ) is a complete local ring, Φ is countable, and n ∈ ℕ 0 is such that ( A s s R ( H Φ h Φ n ( M ) ( M ) ) ) ≥ n is a finite set, then f Φ n ( M ) = h Φ n ( M ) . Abstract In this work, a sample of Pr0.5Sr0.5MnO3 nanoparticles with an average crystalline size of <D> = 58 ± 2 nm was prepared by a combination of reactive milling method for 6 h at room temperature and heat treatment at the 1100 °C for 0.5 h. The x-ray diffraction analysis revealed the existence of a Pr0.5Sr0.5MnO3 single phase with the tetragonal structure (I4/mcm space group). Temperature and magnetic field dependences of magnetisation measurements indicated a coexistence of two magnetic phase transitions. One is the antiferromagnetic-ferromagnetic transition at T N = 150 K. The other is the second-order ferromagnetic-paramagnetic phase transition at T C = 273.5 K. Using the modified Arrott plots and the Kouvel-Fisher methods, the critical isotherm analysis, and the scaling relation, the magnetic order in Pr0.5Sr0.5MnO3 nanoparticle sample has been pointed out. Accordingly, the critical exponents were found to be β = 0.486, γ = 1.181, and δ = 3.249. These values are quite close to the allowable exponents of the mean field model, suggesting an existence of the long-range ferromagnetic order. A slight deviation from the mean field model has been explained by the formation of the core/shell structure in Pr0.5Sr0.5MnO3 nanoparticle.

Three new genera are described: Michener (Proteropinae), Bioalfa (Rogadinae), and Hermosomastax (Rogadinae). Keys are given for the New World genera of the following braconid subfamilies: Agathidinae, Braconinae, Cheloninae, Homolobinae, Hormiinae, Ichneutinae, Macrocentrinae, Orgilinae, Proteropinae, Rhysipolinae, and Rogadinae. In these subfamilies 416 species are described or redescribed. Most of the species have been reared and all but 13 are new to science. A consensus sequence of the COI barcodes possessed by each species is employed to diagnose the species, and this approach is justified in the introduction. Most descriptions consist of a lateral or dorsal image of the holotype, a diagnostic COI consensus barcode, the Barcode Index Number (BIN) code with a link to the Barcode of Life Database (BOLD), and the holotype specimen information required by the International Code of Zoological Nomenclature. Assuming T commutes with {S}^{\ast }, and choosing X to be the positive operator {S}^{\ast n}{S}^{n} for some positive integer n, this paper exploits properties of elementary operators to study the structure of n-quasi {[}m,d]-operators {d}_{T,S}^{m}(X)=0 to bring together, and improve upon, extant results for a number of classes of operators, such as n-quasi left m-invertible operators, n-quasi m-isometric operators, n-quasi m-self-adjoint operators and n-quasi (m,C) symmetric operators (for some conjugation C of {\mathcal H} ). It is proved that {S}^{n} is the perturbation by a nilpotent of the direct sum of an operator {S}_{1}^{n}={\left(S{|}_{\overline{{S}^{n}( {\mathcal H} )}}\right)}^{n} satisfying {d}_{{T}_{1},{S}_{1}}^{m}({I}_{1})=0, {{T}_{1}=T}_{\overline{{S}^{n}( {\mathcal H} )}}, with the 0 operator; if S is also left invertible, then {S}^{n} is similar to an operator B such that {d}_{{B}^{\ast },B}^{m}(I)=0. For power bounded S and T such that S{T}^{\ast }-{T}^{\ast }S=0 and {\text{&#x0394;}}_{T,S}({S}^{\ast n}{S}^{n})=0, S is polaroid (i.e., isolated points of the spectrum are poles). The product property, and the perturbation by a commuting nilpotent property, of operators T,S satisfying {d}_{T,S}^{m}(I)=0, given certain commutativity properties, transfers to operators satisfying {S}^{\ast n}{d}_{T,S}^{m}(I){S}^{n}=0.

The local cohomology theory plays an important role in commutative algebra and algebraic geometry. The I-cofiniteness of local cohomology modules is one of interesting properties which has been studied by many mathematicians. The I-cominimax modules is an extension of I-cofinite modules which was introduced by Hartshorne. An R-module M is I-cominimax if Supp_R(M)\subseteq V(I) and Ext^i_R(R/I,M) is minimax for all i\ge 0. In this paper, we show some conditions such that the generalized local cohomology module H^i_I(M,N) is I-cominimax for all i\ge 0. We show that if H^i_I(M,K) is I-cofinite for all i<t and all finitely generated R-module K, then H^i_I(M,N) is I-cominimax for all i<t and all minimax R-module N. If M is a finitely generated R-module, N is a minimax R-module and t is a non-negative integer such that dim Supp_R(H^i_I(M,N))\le 1 for all i<t then H^i_I(M,N) is I-cominimax for all i<t. When dim R/I\le 1 and H^i_I(N) is I-cominimax for all i\ge 0 then H^i_I(M,N) is I-cominimax for all i\ge 0.

The evolution of a thin liquid film subject to a volatile solvent source and an air-blow effect which modifies locally the surface tension and leads to Marangoni-induced flow is shown to be governed by a degenerate fourth order nonlinear parabolic h-evolution equation of the type given by ∂ t h = − div x M 1 h ∂ x 3 h + M 2 h ∂ x h + M 3 h , where the mobility terms M 1 h and M 2 h result from the presence of the source and M 3 h results from the air-blow effect. Various authors assume M 2 h ≈ 0 and exclude the air-blow effect into M 3 h . In this paper, the authors show that such assumption is not necessarily correct, and the inclusion of such effect does disturb the dynamics of the thin film. These emphasize the importance of the full definition t → · grad γ = grad x γ + ∂ x h grad y γ of the surface tension gradient at the free surface in contrast to the truncated expression t → · grad γ ≈ grad x γ employed by those authors and the effect of the air-blow flowing over the surface.

The composite bucket foundation of offshore wind turbines is subjected to a variety of loads in the marine environment, such as horizontal load H, vertical load V , bending moment M, and torque T. In addition, due to the characteristics of its connection section, the water flow around the foundation will produce scour pits of various degrees, reducing the depth of the bucket foundation, which has a nonnegligible impact on the overall stability of the bucket foundation. In this paper, the failure envelope characteristics of different combinations of loads on bucket foundations, including V -H-T, V -M-T, conventional V -H-M, and noncoplanar V -H-M, are numerically investigated with considering different scour depths. The numerical results indicate that the V -H-T, V -M-T, conventional V -H-M, and noncongruent V -H-M failure envelopes gradually shrink inwards with increasing scour depth, and the stability of the composite bucket foundation decreases; the conventional V -H-M failure envelope shows an asymmetry of convexity to the right, and the noncongruent V -H-M failure envelope shows an asymmetry of outward convexity to the left and right. The corresponding mathematical expressions for the failure envelope are obtained through the normalized fitting process, which can be used to evaluate the stability of the bucket foundation based on the relative relationship between the failure envelope and the actual load conditions, which can provide practical guidance for engineering design.

The electrochemical and antioxidant properties of 5,10,15,20-tetrakis(3′-hydroxyphenyl)porphyrin ( H 2 T (m- OHPh ) P ) and 5,10,15,20-tetrakis(4′-hydroxyphenyl)porphyrin ( H 2 T (p- OHPh ) P ) were tested by the cyclic voltammetry (CV) method. It is shown that in dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) the electroreduction processes of oxygen and porphyrins are under diffusion control. The electroreduction of H 2 T (m- OHPh ) P and H 2 T (p- OHPh ) P with potentials about -1 V are irreversible due to the chemical step (EC process) which leads to products with oxidation potentials about -0.5 V. Additionally in case of oxygen and porphyrin coreduction, both H 2 T (m- OHPh ) P and H 2 T (p- OHPh ) P influence the O 2•- electrosynthesis. The nonlinear dependence of the O 2•- peak current vs. porphyrin concentrations makes the available amperometric approach unsuitable for antioxidant activity estimation. To solve this problem, the coulometric parameters were calculated. The excellent linearity of the coulometric response of superoxide ion vs. porphyrins concentration was demonstrated for a wide concentration range. On the basis of coulometric responses, we constructed a parameter which separated the radical scavenging activity and variation of oxygen electroreduction. The superoxide scavenging activities of H 2 T (m- OHPh ) P and H 2 T (p- OHPh ) P were determined using the developed approach. The effect of OH group position on the superoxide scavenge activity is shown: H 2 T (p- OHPh ) P has a higher activity (slope = 0.75 L.mmol-1) than H 2 T (m- OHPh ) P (slope = 0.60 L.mmol-1).

У флорі України порядок Malvales уключає три родини – Cistaceae, Malvaceae (incl. Tiliaceae) та Thymelaeaceae. У складі родини Cistaceae – три роди: Cistus (C. tauricus), Fumana (incl. Fumanopsis) – 3 види та Helianthemum – 12 видів, з яких для двох кримських (H. lasiocarpum, H. ledifolium) необхідні нові підтвердження. Для України (Карпати) за літературними даними наводився ще один вид – H. alpestre (≡ Cistus alpestre), але, можливо, помилково. Суттєві номенклатурні зміни відбулися у роді Helianthemum. Зокрема, синонімами H. canum s. str. визнано H. creticola та H. georgicum, які наводяться у вітчизняній літературі як самостійні види. Helianthemum nitidum, що раніше наводився для Гірського Криму, виявився синонімом виду H. glabrum, а H. ovatum – синонімом H. chamaecistus. Синонімами H. rupifragum є H. cretaceum та H. cretophylum, які наводяться у вітчизняній літературі як окремі види. Родина Malvaceae, з включенням до її складу родини Tiliaceae, у флорі України представлена 16 родами (Abelmoschus, Abutilon, Alcea, Althaea, Anoda, Callianthe, Corynabution, Gossypium, Hibiscus, Kitaibelia, Malope, Malva (incl. Lavatera), Malvella, Ripariosida, Sida, Tilia) та 49 видами (разом із підвидами, дикорослими та культивованими рослинами). Alcea pallida визнано за синонім A. biennis, а A. і A. taurica – синоніми A. rugosa. Вид Althaea armeniaca наводиться для материкової частини України (окол. Одеси, острів Бірючий) та Криму (околиці Севастополя: Інкерман, Кача) можливо, помилково, замість A. officinalis. Синонімом Althaea armeniaca є A. taurinensis (nom. illeg.), а A. narbonensis визнано синонімом A. cannabina. З чотирьох видів роду Abutilon, які наводилися у попередньому виданні чеклісту, лише один автохтонний вид (A. theopharastii) залишено у роді Abutilon. Три інших види, що культивуються як декоративні рослини, уключені до складу інших родів: Callianthe darwinii (≡ Abutilon darwinii), Callianthe striata (= A. thompsonii) та Corynabution vitifolium (≡ A. vitifolium). До роду Malva уключено рід Lavatera, оскільки основна морфологічна ознака, за якою раніше розрізнялися роди (зрослі при основі листочки підчаші у Lavatera і вільні у Malva) виявилася не достатньою, щоб їх розрізняти. Це підтверджується також літературними молекулярно-філогенетичними даними. У флорі України рід Malva представлений 9 видами. Новим видом для України є M. alcea, який раніше у вітчизняних зведеннях не наводився. Синонімами M. sylvestris є M. ambigua і M. mauritiana, а M. chinensis, M. crispa, M. erecta, M. mohileviensis, M. pulchella, що раніше наводилися у вітчизняних флористичних роботах, зведені в синоніми M. verticillata. Вид Sida hermaphrodita, який іноді культивується в Україні як технічна (волокниста) і кормова рослина і заноситься на поля як буp’ян нині виділений з роду Sida в окремий монотипний рід Ripariosida (R. hermaphrodita). Він виявився філогенетично, біогеографічно і морфологічно ізольованим від інших видів роду Sida, що підтверджується недавно проведеними молекулярно-філогенетичними дослідженнями. Номенклатурні і таксономічні зміни відбулися у роді Tilia. Зокрема синонімами T. begoniifolia визнано T. caucasica і T. i ruprechtii. Синонімом T. × europaea є T. × vulgaris, а синонімами T. tomentosa – T. argentea і T. petiolaris. Новими таксонами, які раніше не наводилися у вітчизняних джерелах є T. dasystyla subsp. multriflora (= T. ledebourii), T. × euchlora (T. cordata × T. dasystyla), T. × moltkei (T. americana L. × T. tomentosa Moench), T. platyphyllos subsp. cordifolia. Родина Thymelaeaceae в Україні представлена двома родами (Daphne, Thymelaea) та 6 видами.

Traditionally, models developed by Treynor and Mazuy (T-M) and also by Henriksson-Merton (H-M), which are called market-timing models, are applied to assess effectiveness of investment funds. The objective of the presented study is an application of the T-M and H-M models and their T-M-FF and H-M-FF modifications with additional Fama-French factors to assess effectiveness and risk of equity insurance connected with unit-linked insurance. Estimation and verification of the models for the subject group of equity funds were performed and the significance of the impact of particular factors on returns on reference portfolios was discussed.

Measurements of complex AC susceptibility were performed on Bi-2223/Bi-2212 high Tc superconductor at low excitation field amplitudes. Unusual features attributable to the Bi-2223 phase are observed in the imaginary part of the AC susceptibility, χ″(T), at different excitation field amplitudes, H m . The peak temperature, T p as a function of H m defines a region in (H, T) plane, where χ″ is independent of H m . Various possible interpretations are discussed, including that of a transition to a viscous flux flow regime.

For some operator A ? B(H), positive integers m and k, an operator T ? B(H) is called k-quasi-(A,m)-symmetric if T*k( mP j=0 (?1)j(m j )T*m?jATj)Tk = 0, which is a generalization of the m-symmetric operator. In this paper, some basic structural properties of k-quasi-(A,m)-symmetric operators are established with the help of operator matrix representation. We also show that if T and Q are commuting operators, T is k-quasi-(A,m)-symmetric and Q is n-nilpotent, then T + Q is (k + n ? 1)-quasi-(A,m + 2n ? 2)-symmetric. In addition, we obtain that every power of k-quasi-(A,m)-symmetric is also k-quasi-(A,m)-symmetric. Finally, some spectral properties of k-quasi-(A,m)-symmetric are investigated.

Host searching behavior of females of the endoparasitoid Toxoneuron nigriceps Vierick (Hymenoptera: Braconidae) was observed in the field for three tobacco herbivores, Heliothis virescens (F.), Helicoverpa zea (Boddie) (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae), and Manduca sexta L. (Lepidoptera: Sphingidae). The only developmentally suitable host for the parasitoid was H. virescens. Hovering, searching, and oviposition (for plants with herbivores) by T. nigriceps were observed for a combination of two plant types, plants with only herbivore-induced plant volatiles or damaged plants with herbivores, and three insect species. The six treatments were as follows: (1) plants with only H. virescens-induced plant volatiles, (2) plants with only H. zea-induced plant volatiles, (3) plants with only M. sexta-induced plant volatiles, (4) plants damaged by H. virescens, (5) plants damaged by H. zea, and (6) plants damaged by M. sexta. Parasitoid females readily hovered around and searched on plants of both types. However, females spent more time foraging for H. virescens than for the nonhosts, H. zea and M. sexta. For plants with only herbivore-induced plant volatiles, T. nigriceps females spent more time searching on H. virescens plants than on H. zea and M. sexta plants. For damaged plants, parasitoid females visited more H. virescens plants than M. sexta plants and spent more time searching for H. virescens larvae than for M. sexta and H. zea larvae. Even though T. nigriceps females laid eggs in M. sexta and H. zea larvae, oviposition was higher for H. virescens than for the nonhosts. In conclusion, T. nigriceps females utilized more of their energy searching for and parasitizing H. virescens over the nonhosts on tobacco.

Abstract This paper is devoted to the weak and strong estimates for the linear and multilinear fractional Hausdorff operators on the Heisenberg group H n {{\mathbb{H}}}^{n} . A sharp strong estimate for T Φ m {T}_{\Phi }^{m} is obtained. As an application, we derive the sharp constant for the product Hardy operator on H n {{\mathbb{H}}}^{n} . Some weak-type ( p , q ) \left(p,q) ( 1 ≤ p ≤ ∞ ) \left(1\le p\le \infty ) estimates for T Φ , β {T}_{\Phi ,\beta } are also obtained. As applications, we calculate some sharp weak constants for the fractional Hausdorff operator on the Heisenberg group. Besides, we give an explicit weak estimate for T Φ , β → m {T}_{\Phi ,\overrightarrow{\beta }}^{m} under some mild assumptions on Φ \Phi . We extend the results of Guo et al. [Hausdorff operators on the Heisenberg group, Acta Math. Sin. (Engl. Ser.) 31 (2015), no. 11, 1703–1714] to the fractional setting.

The differential susceptibility of two termite species, Macrotermes bellicosus and Trinervitermes occidentalis, to four entomopathogenic nematodes (EPN) isolates from Benin, Heterorhabditis indica Ayogbe1, H. sonorensis Azohoue2, H. sonorensis Ze3 and Steinernema sp. Bembereke, was bio-assayed in laboratory tests. Soldiers of both M. bellicosus and T. occidentalis were similarly susceptible, but more susceptible than workers. Forty-eight h post-exposure of workers of M. bellicosus to 50 infective juveniles (IJ) of H. indica Ayogbe1, H. sonorensis Azohoue2, H. sonorensis Ze3 and Steinernema sp. Bembereke for each termite resulted in 96.3, 87.9, 94.5 and 75.0% mortality, respectively, whereas under the same conditions, these EPN isolates caused 91.7, 98.5, 75.0 and 95.0% mortality of workers of T. occidentalis. Soldiers of M. bellicosus were the most invaded with 13.2-18.6% of applied IJ. Based on concentration-mortality data, the isolates H. indica Ayogbe1 and H. sonorensis Ze3 were more virulent to M. bellicosus with LC50 values of 11 IJ, whereas Steinernema sp. Bembereke was the most virulent to T. occidentalis with LC50 values of 12 IJ. However, none of these isolates showed the highest penetration rate. All tested EPN isolates can recycle in both M. bellicosus and T. occidentalis. Our EPN repellent-dispersing assay did not show evidence that M. bellicosus and T. occidentalis would be able to detect the presence of IJ of any EPN isolates/species. However, it was observed that nematode dispersal occurred by infected termites or phoresis.

Moreover, we study the homotopy type of $\Sigma (U)$ Σ ( U ) . We also give an application to the singularities of the distance function to a closed subset of a complete Riemannian manifold.
