The price of the global raw materials lasts to fluctuate upward since 2003. It makes the variable cost of the commodity of the manufacturing industry in Taiwan to pass-through un-completely. This study motivate to observe the phenomenon and to understand the ability of the competition and the management of the industry. This article uses the Model of the Two-stage Regression Estimation Procedure to analyze the correlation between the stock price and the raw materials price of the Electrical Machine Industry in Taiwan Stock Market over the period of January 1989 to December 2005, and to study whether the cost of the raw materials and its cost of exchange rate reflect to their commodity exists time-lag or not. Meanwhile, this article is also to analyze the degrees of pass-through, how the degrees affected by the product differentiation, the rate of marginal contribution and market share. This study contributes the significant conclusions as follows: 1.It usually takes over 3 months to reflect the cost of the raw materials to the commodity. The interval is more, the phenomenon is more significant, but the magnitude is worse. 2.It also usually takes over 3 months to reflect the cost of the exchange rate to the commodity. The interval is more, the magnitude is more. 3.The degrees of pass-through attributes to the product differentiation that is worse as the interval is more. It is positive correlation as the interval is under 3 months. However, the correlation is negative as the interval is over 6 months. But It is usually negative correlation at the magnitude of exchange rate. 4.The management ability of the production and the hedge of exchange rate will be improved at the respect of the rate of marginal contribution. 5.The market share effect to the raw materials, the variable cost is kept to afford by the industry as the interval is under 1 month. But the effect is not significant as the interval over 1 month. The market share effect to the exchange rate, the cost is also kept to afford by the industry as the interval is under 1 month. The effect is not significant as the interval over 1 month but under 3 months. However, the magnitude of pass-through is more as the interval is a half year or one year.
