Torre, Ricardo. „L'œuvre de Marcelo Cohen : entre sociologie fantastique et géographie imaginaire“. Thesis, Paris Est, 2016. http://www.theses.fr/2016PESC0038.
Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis thesis considers such concepts as fictional Geography and fantastic Sociology in Marcelo Cohen’s work (Buenos Aires, 1951).The body of this research includes all the narrative fiction by this author (some twenty tales, short stories and novels in total), between his first collection of stories, Lo que queda (1972), and his novel Balada (2011).Our thesis develops three domains : the first one (« Marcelo Cohen and his work, a theoretical and methodological outlook ») introduces the author and his work, along with a theoretical and practical evaluation of such concepts as fictional Geography and fantastic Sociology ; the second one (« Space in writing ») analyzes the make of space in the selected books, in a dual approach : both chronological and representational ; the last one (« Literature and society ») addresses the expressions of ideological, sociological and political dimensions, plus the relationship between a particular person and his/her society in Marcelo Cohen’s works. This research ends with a global consideration of poetry and estheticism in the work of our Argentinean author
Linck, Anouck. „Quand la Raison se mire dans le miroir de sorcière. Résonances de la pensée scientifique dans le récit fantastique des XIX et XX siècles“. Thesis, Paris 4, 2010. http://www.theses.fr/2010PA040213.
Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe purpose of this doctoral dissertation is to analyze the reflection of scientific thinking in the Fantastic literature of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, and, by the same token, to re-invigorate the theoretical approach to the Fantastic genre. The backbone of my thesis is to study the connection between reason and the Fantastic genre. In summarizing the specialists on this subject, one comes to the following conclusion: the Fantastic genre highlights the insufficiency of reason. It underlines the shortcomings, restrictions and failures of reason in the name of the inexhaustible complexity of reality. The image of reason that the Fantastic genre conveys is quite negative, although connected to a classical concept of rationality, nowadays obsolete. Some key revolutionary concepts of the twentieth century in the fields of physics and mathematics have significantly changed the way we regard reason. This progress marks the passage from classical reason (absolutist) to contemporary reason (relativist and a high degree of complexity). It could not be expected that Fantastic literature reflect a faultless and canonical image of reason, but a strictly negative image is unsatisfactory. The Fantastic genre is not insensitive, contrary to usual belief, to the amazing discoveries of modern science. It evolves in symbiosis with modern science. My goal is to show throughout this work that Fantastic literature gives a positive but troubled image of reason. The latter comes from the “monsters” that were invented by science during the twentieth century: Einstein’s relativity, quantum mechanics, Gödel’s theorem, non- classical logics (among others). In a Fantastic tale, strictly deductive reasoning, unbending and all-knowing is systematically defeated. But this is not proof that reason has reached its limits. Scientific thinking teaches us that it can be, on the contrary, a sign of an extension of reason. This rehabilitation of reason –of its "troubled" side– that takes into account the current scientific context updates the Fantastic genre and gives it a new unity. This updating means a substantial modification of the status of the supernatural: one does not consider it as a disorganizing agent but as an agent of rationality

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe work of Joan Ganhaire (in French Jean Ganiayre) is of exceptional richness. This contemporary author, who made the Limousin Occitan his only language of writing, addressed various literary genres : fantastic short stories, «nhòrlas» [funny short stories], cape and sword novels, detective novels, not to mention a form of poetry in prose that outcrops in many texts. Under its apparent diversity, this work is very consistent because of its themes, its images, and its recurring « biais de dire » [ways of saying]. It can be read at multiple levels and opens up very different possibilities of interpretation depending on the point of view adopted, interpretations that cross and enrich each other. Haunted by the questions of death, of the omnipresent violence and of the world’s absurdity, both as a man and by his profession as a doctor, Ganhaire, like many authors of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries, opposes them laught and derision like an ultimate snub. His work is a tribute to the imaginative limousin world, in close relationship with nature, which he felt imbued from childhood. It proposes a contemporary expression of it, irrigated and hybridized by the imaginative worlds of great figures of world literature, but also by other arts such as cinema
Lupino, Letizia. „Bernard Noël, langue et image, en deçà de la représentation“. Thesis, Université Paris-Saclay (ComUE), 2018. http://www.theses.fr/2018SACLV085.
Der volle Inhalt der QuelleOur thesis contemplates the connection between art criticism and poetic expression in the work of Bernard Noël. This thesis is articulated in three parts and it analyses how the prose d'idées artistiques of the poet is melted with his imaginary and his lyrics of eyes and body. Our research is led by a representativeness intent and it follows some significant thematic through the work of Bernard Noël. The two preliminary parts are based on a selection of art criticism. In the first part the writings about Ramon Alejandro and François Luven give us the opportunity to go back to the genealogy in Bernard Noël work. In the same part we examine the critics regarding Magritte, Matisse and Masson which turned out crucial to the author's poetic process. Then we contemplate, through the texts about Télémaque, Klasen, Debré and Wou-Ki, figuration end abstraction as movements one opposite to the other. The second part of the thesis engages art criticism and poetic. The progression of the analysis allows to recall some issues of the previous section. The critics addressed to Moninot, Fred Deux, Moreau, David and Géricault are treated in a more specific way to and mixed with elements which constitute author’s personal poetic (body representation, body and mind opposition, painting-writing connection). Bernard Noël's poetic practice is the subject of the third part: here we try to reveal not only the versified expressions use, especially in the poems inspired by plastic art works (graphics, paintings or sculpture), but also the principles of collaboration which stand above the books of dialogue with the contemporary artists.Through the analysis of the work of Bernard Noël we can examine the concept of realism in the french painting, the surrealist period, the abstraction movement after the war or the new figuration movement. Our corpus, which claims not to be exhaustive, is made by monographs of important painters and by texts of exposition catalogues. It includes art, poems and figure books since it is true that the place of painting and sculpture it’s central in Bernard Noël’s work as his relationship with art which influences his existence, aesthetics, even political view of society and of the world
Deleuze, Audrey. „La verve alchimique du verbe butorien“. Thesis, Aix-Marseille 1, 2011. http://www.theses.fr/2011AIX10191.
Der volle Inhalt der QuelleMichel Butor’s work is marked by the formal diversity of his texts. From a closer point of view, the different themes. Looking from a closer point of view, all the different themes all find an echo in each other. Since Portrait de l’artiste en jeune singe (1969) (Novel-capriccio), the alchemical references are abundant. They are presented in the same way as the nouveau roman and are also a kind of roman d’apprentissage. The writing-morphing process is the main topic of this novel and constitutes an analogy with the transmutation of his writing substance. This tradition appears firstly in "L'Alchimie et son langage" as a language. We also needed to draw up a brief study of alchemy from its origins to the numerous rediscoveries made by the renaissance scientists, romantic and surrealist writers. The aim of this approach was to make clear the hints between the works of Michel Butor and his intertextuality. Alchemy pictures can be found in La Rose des vents, which clearly illustrates the hermetical philosophy. These alchemical pictures can also be found in many texts of poetry written between 1960 and 2009. In order to constitute our corpus, we picked up the different books because of their titles. To Conclude, we can say that Butor is a concerned author, a thotian writer, and that geocriticism applies to the human space. In his works the form creates the sense and the sense helps the form. Our historical approach focuses mainly on a semiotic study. The alchemical impulse of the Butor’s verve rests on the exhibition of the links and the analogical fragmentation

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis work explores the dead body as it is represented in a number of contemporary Latin American cuentos in order to establish a typology of the different reactions of human beings in general when faced with death. I suggest that literature reproduces a limited number of universal behaviours in this situation and thus it gives readers a fairly reliable inventory of the attitudes that they, like the characters, are likely to adopt. The corpse as a protagonist of the short stories discussed here has been selected because it is the only concrete and palpable image of death and that, by its repulsive appearance, it represents a terrible source of fear which conditions and alters any intention of peacefully trying to come to terms with it. The theoretical framework of the literary possible worlds whereby fiction is seen as a potential experience, and the formal characteristics of the cuento, such as its reduced, self-contained nature, allow the text to be read as a funerary space where all these fictional dead bodies lie. The reader is thus brought into close contact to the dying/dead, cold, putrid, stinking, dismembered or embalmed body and the literary experiences he/she goes through help him/her to come to grips with the frightening reality of death
Mnatsakanova, Maria. „Le mythe de Napoléon en Russie au XIX et au début du XX siècle“. Thesis, Paris 4, 2017. http://www.theses.fr/2017PA040085.
Der volle Inhalt der QuelleNapoleon’s personality and the results of his reign have always been a source of discussion both in France and elsewhere, nor is Russia an exception to this rule. The corpus of poems and writings on Napoleon attracted my attention: what were the causes of the birth of the Napoleonic myth in Russia, and how did attitudes towards the French emperor change over time? Analysis not only of works by Russian historians written after Napoleon’s death up to the beginning of the 20th century, but also of literary works from the same period, reveals changes in the image of the Emperor. The black legend lasted for only a brief time, and after his death Napoleon became a hero for poets. And historians looked positively on the emperor as they attempted to explain the events that had taken place in Europe at the beginning of the century. The transfer of Napoleon’s mortal remains back to France in 1840 marks the apogee of the golden legend. In Russia, this legend began to wane after the death of Lermontov and especially after the publication of Tolstoy’s War and Peace. At the beginning of the 20th century, whilst the Napoleonic myth no longer excited Russian poets, historians on the other hand grew more and more interested in imperial period, Franco-Russian relations, and Napoleon’s internal policy. The Franco-Russian alliance and the centenary of the Campaign of 1812 influenced historical studies positively, but the events occurring in Russia after 1917 gave the legend another dimension and other meanings
Trancart, Vinciane. „Accords et désaccords. Pratiques et représentations de la guitare à Madrid et en Andalousie de 1883 à 1922“. Thesis, Paris 3, 2014. http://www.theses.fr/2014PA030100/document.
Der volle Inhalt der QuelleDuring the transition from the nineteenth to the twentieth centuries, when the question of national identity is continuing to develop in Spain, the guitar is repeatedly mentioned as the “national instrument”. This platitude ultimately proves to be a paradoxical symbol of an identity that is still under debate during this period. While stereotypical descriptions caricature the reality by oversimplifying it, on the contrary, guitar practices diversify during the Restoration, because of technical changes in the instrument and the evolution of folk, classical and flamenco music. The composition in 1920 by Manuel de Falla of the first piece for solo guitar (Homenaje a Debussy) and the organization of the First Contest of the Cante Jondo in Granada in 1922 testify to the gradual recognition of the instrument. Yet the proliferation of printed matter, favored by the freedom of the press law (1883), gives rise to numerous literary and visual representations of the guitar that do not accurately reflect these changes. They mostly bring out its popular, Andalusian and even flamenco character, and its ability to impregnate the imagination. Published in periodicals in Madrid or Andalusia, these works influence the reception of the instrument: it is both appreciated by an increasingly wide audience, disregarded for being absent from museums and institutions, and rejected by social and moral standards because of its presence in decried places. Yet, even when this stereotype is disputed, the guitar takes on an original symbolic dimension, rooted in everyday life, which manifests itself through the emotions it provokes
Paris 10, 1989. http://www.theses.fr/1989PA100122.
Der volle Inhalt der QuelleBolivia, which is geographically, economically but mostly socially isolated (due to its mainly indian racial population composition) was bound to produce a socially engaged type of novel, resulting from a reflection on the racial problem, early century bolivian intellectuals discovered at the same time their own country and the indian, who is the perfect victim of geographical constraints and of the exploitation and oppression system founded on racial distinction. The indian figure, appearing like a product of the environment, is a determining factor in bolivian novels; he's at the same time the main literary subject and the "depersonalized actor" stemming from a dramatic cycle whose components are defined in advance. Bolivian novel is tightly dependant upon the dialectical link which is established from the relationship between the characters and the notion of space, knowing that every individual existence and every social position is conditioned by the possession or non-possession of land. Thus the social orientation which characterizes bolivian novel is made at the expense of the textual space and of the characters' active function. As a result their active function arises from an archetypal behaviour which is representative of mass action and the oppression scheme denounced, bolivian novel comes to maturity when it starts denying this omnipresent space and privileging the textual one, the representation of imagination and individual action, bolivian "nouveau roman" denies certain racial frontiers, not to replace the indian seen as an outcast, but to integrate him into a novelistic process enhancing individuality, a new step towards this novelistic and national search of identity
Ramouche, Marie-Pierre. „Savoir et pouvoir dans "la trilogia del siglo XX de Jorge Volpi“. Paris 8, 2009. http://www.theses.fr/2009PA083130.
Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis thesis examines the novels that compose Jorge Volpi's trilogy (En busca de Klingsor, El fin de la locura et No será la Tierra) from the perspective of the relationships between Knowledge and Power. The study demonstrates that the Mexican author, under the influence of the works by Michel Foucault on the links unifying the notions of Knowledge and Power, built a trilogy that highlights the close and paradoxical relationships between these two concepts, which intersect and inverse throughout these three novels, until finally converging in their exact antithesis, madness. Whether it be in the conflicts opposing "men of knowledge" — the scientists and the intellectuals — to the politico-economic power, or in the most intimate strata of an individual's psyche — in one's relationships with others and with oneself —, or even at the very heart of his conception of literature and in his own writing, this study reveals that Jorge Volpi revisits the concepts of knowledge and of power through the prism of madness. Throughout his work, the knowledge-power relationships lead to madness which is itself the source of another form of knowledge-power, both unfathomable and uncontrollable, for which Volpi seems to feel a deep fascination
Thesis, Normandie, 2017. http://www.theses.fr/2017NORMR114/document.
Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe monster intrigues and fascinates: he was studied, dissected, and abundantly staged in literary works. He remains nevertheless mysterious: we find for example similar monsters in distant cultures without any contact so temporarily as geographically. But if the teratology is prosperous in numerous countries, this craze appears to be less shared when it is the contemporary Mexican literature because monsters are less analyzed there. Nevertheless, they are present and numerous. A big part of our work consists in proposing a typology of the figures of the monster of the Mexican folklore by grouping those who appear in collections of legends or the dictionaries of strange creatures. It allows to understand how it is perceived in the popular belief and then reused by authors of fictional works. The monster is registered in a collective popular imagination, shared at first orally then passed to the paper, and transmitted in inheritance to the future generations. The literary writing is inspired by this inheritance, what creates a sort of hypertextuality between the present collective imagination in the myths and the legends, and the individual imagination of the author by means of its works of fiction. The latter revives these sources and even modifies them. The intertextuality is also present between the Mexican fictions and those besides of the world, what invites us to propose a comparative literary analysis when this one is possible. The purpose of this work is to determine through these sets of writing and these inventions, the stakes in these figures of the monster in the Mexican literature
RAMO', MONICA.

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleSince the discovery of the Amazon, the region has been represented in different ways, mainly through travelogues. Concerning the geographical borders of the Brazilian Amazon, they will only be defined in the early twentieth century. The aim of this thesis is to analyze the representations of the Amazon, from the beginning of the twentieth century to the present, through the point of view of national authors. In this sense, it is important to analyze how Brazilian literature presented the relation between identity and memory, in competition with other forms of discourse

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleOur study consists on tracking the history of the arab narrative type, more precisely the arab novel since end of nineteenth century till 1969. First, we start in the first chapter by a litterature and historical reminder of the birth of the narrative type in Egypt. Then, we analyze in the second chapter, through the Mahmoud Taymour introductions, the changes and evolutions that occur on this arab narrative type in the first half of the twentieth century. Finaly, the third chapter is the occasion to illustrate the gain in maturity of the narrative litterature and more specificaly the novel. This illustration is done through Naguib Mahfouz novels where we find a complete drawing of the egyptian and arab society at that time
Alekou, Stella. „La représentation de la femme dans les héroïdes d’Ovide : parole et mémoire dans les lettres XII, XX et XXI“. Thesis, Paris 4, 2011. http://www.theses.fr/2011PA040097.
Der volle Inhalt der QuelleIn a poetic, rhetorical and juridical perspective, as well as a generic and an intertextual one, this study proposes a reflexion on the ovidian heroine’s memory and speech. A single letter (Medea, Heroine XII) and a double letter (Acontius and Cydippe, Heroines XX-XXI) are at the heart of our research. Combining the memory of the instant with intimate speech, Medea and Cydippe extend an invitation to illustrate the representation of women that emerges from the poetic art of pathos, to affirm the legitimization of her juridical status in a historical plausibility, and to perceive, finally, her emancipation, gained in a dialogical and tensional diversity of genres and texts. The textual interferences with the founder models are well listed in the framework of an allusion that brings out a metaphorical rewriting of reflexivity, in an intersection of moments that particularly privileges the Catullian figure of Ariadne (Carmen LXIV). Carried out in this spirit, the study of literary reminiscence is completed in a work of words and notions for the research of a genuine poetic mimesis. This interpretation leads to highlight the autoreflexive value of the textual image: ingenious memory and polysemous speech participate in a learned play in which the feminine figure and the composed poiesis are, actually, inseparable. Therein can also be found Ovid’s originality: between the written memory and the future reading is set the mnemonic speech, defence and the ultimate message of the ovidian woman, thus rewarded

Thesis, Bordeaux 3, 2017. http://www.theses.fr/2017BOR30014/document.
Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe creative impulse resulting from the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939) remained very vivid in the generations of poets who wrote in Spain in the 1950s; this is called social poetry, where authors as Blas de Otero, Gabriel Celaya or José Hierro are usually classified. The combative tone of the war years (Alberti, Hernández) then became resigned and only a hint of hope seemed to arise from this radically solidary poetry. A few years later, for a new poetic generation (Jaime Gil de Biedma, José Agustín Goytisolo, among others), it is no longer a question of writing a poem of circumstances, but of giving voice to their personal anxieties, even if those anxieties are closely linked to the collective future of their country. Usually it is considered that this type of committed poetry ended with the advent, in the 70s, of the Novísimos, a group of poets were seeking, on the contrary, to make a poetry at the antipodes of the mournful Spanish reality. These poets needed to actualize an outdated lyrical horizon and to give poetry a playful dimension absent from Spanish poetry since the avant-gardes of the years 20-30. Nevertheless, this highly criticized position was also a subversive reaction. For these young poets it was necessary to resolutely go forward and not let the Spanish poetry, which had known such brilliant hours, also plunge into the underworld of a dictatorial regime. This paradigm shift will in turn be seen in some way interrupted in the 80s by the poetic group La otra sentimentalidad, which returns to poetry closely linked to history. This period coincided with the arrival of the Socialists in power in 1982 and the movida, a social and cultural movement life which dynamited the Spanish manners. It will now be a question of conceiving literature as an ideological discourse and assuming its radical historicity. Javier Egea, founding member of the Grenada group and central figure of this work, strives not only to integrate the materialistic reflections in his work, especially in his capital collections (Troppo mare, 1984, Paseo de los Tristes, of 1982, and Raro de luna, of 1990), but also a poetry directly related to the historical events, especially in his dispersed or unpublished poems. This thesis proposes a reflection on this work and on the links between poetry and history in the last third of the Spanish twentieth century
Paris, EHESS, 2014. http://www.theses.fr/2014EHES0166.
Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis research on documentary sources investigates the way five intellectuals from Bahia, Brazil, lived and interpreted the process of modernization in the passage from the 19th century to the 20th century, evidenced in measures of urbanization that interfered not only in the urban fabric as well as in customs, practices and social interactions that gave meaning to the space. It deals with the sociology of intellectual which analyzes the performance of Silva Lima (1826-1910), Anna Bittencourt (1844-1930), Manuel Querino (1851-1923), Xavier Marques (1861-1942) and Cardoso de Oliveira (1865-1962) in the following works, respectively:/4 Bahia de Hâ 66 Anos (1907); Longos Serôes do Campo (1920); A Bahia de Outrora (1916); Boto e Cia /O Feiticeiro (1897/1922) and Dois Métros e Cinco (1905). The sample gathered five writers with distinct lives in ethnie, social and professional terms, composing a rich picture about the intellectual life of Bahia in the period in question. It was stimulated by previous studies which highlighted the relation between intellectual production and urban transformations. This field of research raises the problem of conceptual reification in the methodological sphere, confronted in the construction of "intellectual" as an analysis category and in the approach of the texts as data sources. On one side, it was observed the volubility of the statusof intellectual, conditioned by the access to certain groups and by criteria of récognition, and, on the other side, the dynamic nature of memoirs and of the novels produced by thèse writers that, beyond the imprisonment on media materials such as books and serial novels, constituted actions in the public sphere, claiming to be examinedfrom a historical perspective. Thus, the research isn't constrained to a conceptual definition of intellectuality, tracing instead the intellectual profile of Bahia, analyzing the spaces they frequented — their societies and their distinction criteria, the means of publication, the auditoriums, the audience, the editors and directors of newspapers. The research approached the texts of these writers as historical events, political actions in the printed media rather than as passive information sources. The first part of this thesis investigates the passage of intellectuals through abolitionists and republican groups, writers' coteries, in the Geographical and Historical Institute of Bahia and in the main periodicals of the city. The second part is devoted to the analysis of contents of a publication of each author, dealing with the thorough transformations that occurred in the dynamics of coexistence among citizens in the city of Salvador, thus outlining the sens of rupture which defines, from the perspective of local intellectuality, the coming of progress and modernity. The texts revealed not only the opinions of writers about the damage or benefits of modernization, but theirliving experience in the city, contributing to the phenomenology of the process abstractly understood as "modernity", emphasizing relevant aspects of changes in the forms of sociality such as the extinction of religious customs, the weakening of popular festivals, the adoption of Carnival replacing the "Entrudo", and new ways of meeting in open public spaces (streets, commercial spaces and squares) — aspects related to the process of socio-spatial segregation which interfered in the coexistence between rich and poor
Pirisino, Claudio. „Autour de la "regìa". La mise en scène en Italie : 1893-1943. Protagonistes, histoires, débats“. Thesis, Sorbonne Paris Cité, 2017. http://www.theses.fr/2017USPCA153.
Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis doctoral thesis challenges the simplistic doxa in theatre historiography that views genesis of theatre direction in Italy as a late phenomenon in comparison to other countries such as Germany, France, and Russia. This “delay” is thought to be due to the actor’s persistent self-referential tradition. According to the doxa, the Italian theatre system would have been resistant to the introduction of the new role of director, which was perceived as extraneous. This situation would have been caused in Italy by the popularity of wandering companies and the absence of a dominant theatrical focal point such as Paris was in France. The phenomenon of a strictly speaking regìa would have only emerged after the Second World War. This view has led to a series of misinterpretations and misunderstandings that oversimplify the phenomenon of the development of modern direction, favouring a teleological argument of qualitative progress. However, a number of studies carried out from the 2000’s encourage us to consider the direction as a complex aspect of the theatrical art. Concepts such as ‘proto-direction’ (Perrelli, 2005) and continuity/discontinuity (Sarrazac-Consolini, 2010), show the limits of an univocal definition of this art. In light of these studies, the Italian panorama appears as an uncharted territory. A recent study of the European directors’ tours in Italy for the years from the 1911 to 1940, has actually demonstrated the Italian system’s responsiveness (Schino, 2008).My research investigates the origin of the concept of “delay”, and the reasons by which theatre direction in Italy came to be considered by scholars as some sort of grail. I also highlight how direction in Italy emerges from the main source of the supposed delay itself: the actor. Indeed, the appearance of theatre direction is not abrupt; but rather a multifaceted art, which changes according to artists’ modus operandi and is dependent on the characteristics of the theatrical system

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleIn the America of the XXe century, works of Ying Chen, Dany Laferrière and Wajdi Mouawad express voices that are, at the same time, different, various and deviating for the ones of the quebecker’s national literature. Taking their distance toward stereotyped representations of their time, like the exilic literature or the travel literature, migrant authors set stories where brand new images of the northern towns emerge, as well as emblematic places and the meeting of the other occurs. The migrant author reveals, just like his exploded path, a game with the reader by taking over several roles, several auctorial figures. His writing is therefore, a palimpsest: it’s integrating various literary models while it goes beyond. In its intern construction, in its creation process, we may discover how it shielded literary norms. Finally, the migrant writer offers a view of the world that is both reconcile and indulgent by making live together the alives and the deads
Ducellier, Aurore. „Les voix résilientes. La poésie carcérale sous le premier franquisme“. Thesis, Sorbonne Paris Cité, 2016. http://www.theses.fr/2016USPCA056.
Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis study sets out to uncover the poetry created in carceral spaces during early Francoism, from the progressive advancement of the Nationalist faction in Spain, between 1936 and 1939, to the end of the Second World War, up until the late fifties in some cases in line with the duration of imprisonment. This phenomenon, mainly reduced in Spain to the two heroicized figures of Miguel Hernández and Marcos Ana, nonetheless, involves a vast number of others, ranging from the jailed poet, whose literary ambitions are thwarted, to the prisoners of war or political prisoners who try their hand at romances to kill time. The focus of this study is not limited to the literary value of a poem, but also considers testimonial as well as lyrical poetry, prose poems and verse, both written and orally-transmitted. The corpus in question varies widely both in terms of generation and ideology and spans sixty authors. José Luis Gallego (1913-1980) is paradigmatic, since he composed around twenty collections of prison poems from 1939 to 1942 and then from 1943 to 1960, of which only three were published. The whole of Spanish geography is covered (especially Madrid, San Simón island and the Canaries) and several prison spaces, including prison camps. Even if certain symbols underline the specific circumstances of a particular author, specific cultural aspects or the Spanish situation on the whole, the prison poetry discussed here mainly derives from a poetics of liberation, whose goal is to leave behind the oppressive space-time of imprisonment. At the same time, the poetry acts as a release for painful emotions expressed and compressed into metrical moulds indicative of the constraint, occasionally letting slip subversive comments between the lines. In addition, the process of creation and diffusion of these lyrical works, the implications of collaborating with power in the pages of the prison weekly Redención and the destiny of those verses that were entrusted to semi-clandestine networks or met with editorial silence are examined. Taking family and national archives as the starting point, these lyrical voices of a difficult resilience, unpublished or unappreciated, in constant tension between being locked into the intimism of the insilio and the subtle exteriorization of a repressed dissidence
Thesis, Paris Est, 2013. http://www.theses.fr/2013PEST0004.
Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis thesis aims to study the return of the Greek tragedy into French theatre in the twentieth century, and to understand the significance applied to the Tragedy in the twentieth century focusing on some female figures. In this research, the following five French playwrights, authors of plays were chosen because they were inspired by characters of Greek Tragedy: Jean Giraudoux, Jean Anouilh, Jean Cocteau, Jean-Paul Sartre and André Gide. The return of Greek themes in French plays over the years shows us indeed just how valuable these finite sources of information and reference actually are and how much of an inspiration they have been. For this reason mainly, authors such as those mentioned above have not stopped bringing these old characters back to life in their plays. There is not any specific link with old civilization; it is but a look at the founding myths of the humanistic thinking. In terms of the methodology, work done in the 20th century with relation to classic Greek themes/ tragedy genre, has been selected specifically as a tool of studying more recent French theatre. The role played by these female characters in these plays has not been analyzed or looked at before in detail using this quantity of authors as a sample, making this thesis unique and an interesting contribution to the field. This study looks more deeply into the change or shift that took place when considering the role/character played by women in these plays, through the eyes of these male authors. After determining these distinctive female characters and their personalities and attitudes, the relationship between men and women can be analyzed and particular relationships, divided into 3 sections, namely will be analyzed and discussed: - Role and relationship of female characters from a political system perspectiveThis thesis will aim to conclude that the identity and status associated to female characters, for several centuries have been significantly less than the status of men, and more specifically in these olden Greek plays from the 20th century. The study predicts that in light of the recent changes and developments undergone by new French play writers, inspired by classic Greek genre has led to a paradigm shift and drastic improvement in the identity and status associated to the Female characters in these plays
Lacoste, Charlotte. „Le témoignage comme genre littéraire en France de 1914 à nos jours“. Thesis, Paris 10, 2011. http://www.theses.fr/2011PA100091.
Der volle Inhalt der QuelleBooks of a new kind appeared out of the total wars and genocides of the twentieth century – testimonies. They are written by male and female survivors of extreme political violence, who, taking on the role of witnesses, decided to share their experiences with others by writing of the suffering they had undergone. Their mission consists in testifying what they saw and experienced, paying tribute to those who did not survive, questioning the mechanisms which led to mass murder, and opposing to the attempts to destroy human beings and their culture a reflection about living together and the ever-present possibility of the most fundamental social relationships falling apart. The corpus left by these witnesses is the object of study of this PhD dissertation, which has two aims: to describe, based on a close reading of the texts, partially aided by the tools of textometric analysis, the main characteristics of the genre, and to create the basis of a history of testimonies and their public and critical reception, using accounts which reveal such diverse experiences as trench warfare during the World War One, the concentration camps of the Nazi regime, and colonial violence in Algeria. In order to understand the generic specificity of these texts going beyond the diversity of the works and the events they proceed, it is necessary to define the underlying common project which forms a tradition, given that a genre is not defined according to unchanging ontological criteria. It appears in precise socio-historical circumstances, and is situated at a level of semiotic interference which justifies this dual philological and historical approach
Ortiz, de Pinedo Aitor. „Jean Etxepareren "Beribilez" (1931) : bidaia eta ideologia“. Thesis, Bordeaux 3, 2018. http://www.theses.fr/2018BOR30027/document.
Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe second book ((original Basque title) Beribilez; (engl.) By car) by Jean Etxepare (1877-1935) is analysed in this doctoral thesis. The aim of this research is to define the author’s ideology/ in his intellectual maturity and his image of the Basque Country, along the journey made by car through the Southern Provinces. Semiotic Methodology (Philippe Hamon) and Imagology (Daniel-Henri Pageaux) have been used as a study method. We have looked at the academic training of Jean Etxepare, and we have seen that in the Northern Basque Country he was confronted with the hegemonic traditional catholic way of thinking. During the years of dissent between the State and the Church, Etxepare chose the free-thinking path, inspired by German philosophy. In the area of aesthetics, his view of the Basque landscape is mostly economicist. His perspective of the appreciation of rural lands combines with a poetic mysticism. He considers the display of Baroque religious luxury that he sees in the Sanctuary of Loyola, spiritually deficient; we can see that, on the one hand, we are dealing with an intellectual author of petit bourgeois standing and sound artistic judgement... On the other hand, even if he proves to be a knowledgeable person, he is very capable of enjoying the small pleasures of life as gastronomy, wines, dances and eroticism in a harmonious and measured way. He moves moderately away from traditional confessional asceticism, giving in his book to the pleasures of the body an unusual and enlightening place unknown to the catholic dominant literature. In the field of ethics, he criticizes the urban growth of San Sebastian: he proclaims secular spirituality against the materialism and degeneration of the high bourgeoisie. He prophesied that there would be the Second World War, because he saw the human beings lacking mutual respect. As a positivist, he criticizes any irrational belief. Finally, he indicates that in adulthood he has been aligned with the Greek philosophy of measure, in spite of his non-conformist youth. About the Basque Country, he intends to promote solidarity between the two sides of the frontier, reinterpreting the history passages in a diplomatic way. His attitude towards the South is of a philia one (Pageaux). As a conclusion, we can say that the writer measured the expression of his dissident way of thinking, because he did not want his second book to be rejected as had been the case with the first one (Buruxkak, 1910)
Fourgeaud, Nicolas. „La performance au miroir des médiations. Enjeux théoriques et critiques“. Thesis, Paris 3, 2012. http://www.theses.fr/2012PA030057.
Der volle Inhalt der QuelleOn the edge of the 1960’s, performance looked after imposing an art of ephemeral action that no kind of mediation would impede, be it symbolic (the distance between actor and spectator), technical (the medias), or even linguistical (language, signs). Those attempts led to numerous discussions between the 1960’s and the 1990’s, and have found numerous theoretical formulations using particularly the tools of poststructuralism, but also frames of thought directly inherited from Greenberg modernism. We explore here the stages and issues of this cross-over until the break of the 1990’s and 2000’s where the theoretical debates, always using poststructuralist schemes, gave a central role to mediations, particularly to the document. Documents have become an important figure of artistic practice since the 1960’s and turned out to question the traditional ontology of performance, based on the event, as well as its epistemology that promotes live experience. We try to consider the instrumental and artistic dimensions of the document ; this leads us to revise the traditional poetics of performance and theories of communication that are related to it, and to consider anew the opposition between object and event on which the definition of performance is based. Thus, we question the links between performance and inscription, redefined as an art that is irreducible to its context of execution and worked in depth by reproduction and representation, through the study of certain figureheads : Allan Kaprow, Chris Burden or Tino Sehgal

Thesis, Bordeaux 3, 2018. http://www.theses.fr/2018BOR30001/document.
Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe dissertation is devoted to a complex comparative research of works of the poet, philosopher, publicist, playwright and one of founders of symbolism in Russia, Nikolay Maksimovich Minsky, in the context of the French symbolism. The dissertation examines the genesis of early Russian symbolism, which was partially shaped by the concepts and categories of French symbolism. The work presents a large body of texts in Russian, translated into French for the first time and previously not subject to literary analysis; these texts reveal the picture of the socio-cultural situation and the main features of the turn-of-the-century consciousness of the late XIX century. Minsky's work was formed at the junction of influence of French and Russian literature, so the comparative approach to the analysis of the poet's work allows us to determine its place in the development of world culture, as well as to emphasize once again the importance of the cultural ties between Russia and France
Decorniquet, Sylvie. „"L'énergie de l'espace" : André du Bouchet. : Reprendre à la peinture son bien“. Thesis, Sorbonne Paris Cité, 2015. http://www.theses.fr/2015USPCA128/document.
Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe specificity of André du Bouchet's work lies in its intimate connection with the fine arts and artists. His writing commits poetry - the way painting does - to understanding the riddle of invisibility by inventing its own spatial disposition. The page of a book is treated like a surface which disposing terms together according to specific orientations gives the medium the energy exerted by that spatialisation of elements, on top of a tension displayed by the interweaving of word meaning. Three lines of research are thus treated in succession : Layout, Vision and Medium. Each lexical and syntactic operation aims at opening up the notions which give a limit to meaning, and to emphasise mobility. in this manner, André du Bouchet, intends to come close to the techniques that painters apply in order to express their vision of the worl, but also the escape from reality which they confront themselves to. Pondering on the way we look at the world and then - conversely - on the way the world appears to the eye, he shapes that "speechless language ... dazzlingly painting" which gives a glimpse of an unfamiliar reality. His thinking in terms of volume explains his conception of a multi-layer medium ; its substitutes the space-time coordinates of space geometry for intensive qualities linked to a kinaesthetic apprehension of the world. He brings into being a form of energetics of space and thus introduces a conception of man's place in the world as movement and constant flow

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis study examines the complex relationships between poetry and eroticism that have emerged in the Colombian poetry throughout a historical journey that goes from José Asunción Silva’s poetry (late nineteenth century) to the poetry of the group Mito, during the decade of 50s in the twentieth century. This research and analytical work shows that a tradition of the erotic in the Colombian poetry can be observed, in which eroticism, as a sensitive subject, has permeated the poetics of various groups –modernists, Piedracielistas, and Mito– as well as some of the most important Colombian authors such as Silva, Porfirio Barba Jacob, Luis Carlos López, and León de Greiff
