Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis Ph. D. Contributes to the subject of indexing and pattern recognition in an image database constituted of object contours, by the use of local invariant descriptions. Our approach allows to recognize objects, even if they are partially occluded or observed at different viewpoints, since it is based on a local and invariant characterization of contours. One of the fundamental problems of indexing an image database resides in the choice of the invariant description of the image. Indeed, it is agreed that the request never corresponds exactly to the research image, affine transformations can separate them. Hence the description of the contour has a possess invariance properties so as to confer robustness to the recognition system. A general framework allowing to unify different local descriptions has been elaborated. This unification lead us propose two invariant descriptions with respect to affine transformations: the first one is based on points of interest of curves and the second one on the multi-scale analysis contours. Invariant descriptions, proposed in this work, have been applied to retrieval of objects-contours in image database. First of all, we have proposed a solution to the problem of object retrieval by sketch. The user draws his request on a graphic interface: the request image is made of a contour on uniform background. Then, its description by multi-scale curvatures allows to extract indexes. Finally, to undertake a rapid retrieving from a large image database, a mechanism of indexing based on the geometric hashing has been developed

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis thesis addresses several algorithmic aspects of algebraic curves.The first part describe and plug in Magma a computational algorithm of twists for the curves over finite fields and study it's complexity. In the hyperelliptic case, it is the first complete algorithm to do this in all genus. The second part builts representatives family for the non hyperelliptic curves of genus 3 to enable them effective enumeration in connection with the Serre obstruction problem. This part has been published in ANTS and an annex of this thesis is made up of a preprint studing a statistic model for interpreting the data obtained.The last part of the thesis studies the invariants and covariants of binary forms in connexion with the description of the moduli space of curves of genus 2. A new operation in particular is described to generate covariants in small characteristic. We study to the implementation of a new strategy (called Geyer-Sturmfels) to get the algebras of separants and we apply it of the case of degree 4 ans 6. Finally, the last chapter shows the validity of a reconstruction algorithm for genus 2 curves from their invariants in all characteristic diferent from 2 and implements it in SAGE

It conduces, on the one hand, to consider that in some contexts their meaning is not ancillary to the informative content of the statement, and that it is not equivalent to the meaning of a being verb. In fact, the use of a posture verb by a speaker refers to a choice motivated by something more than the being or the presence of the subject. On the other hand, this invariance facilitates clear distinction of the semantical function of each of these verbs, while they may seem to have the same meaning, when they occur in contexts which seem similar at first glance

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis work contributes to the field of metric geometry of the complex projective plane CP2 and the real Grassmannian manifold of the planes in R6. More specifically, we study all p-tuples, p ≥ 3, of equiangular lines in C3 or equidistant points in CP2, and p-tuples of equi-isoclinic planes in R6. Knowing that 9 is the maximum number of equiangular lines that can be constructed in C3, we develop a method to obtain all p-tuples of equiangular lines for all p ϵ [3,9]. In particular, we construct in C3 five congruence classes of quadruples of equiangular lines, one of which depends on a real parameter ɣ, which we extend to an infinite family of sextuples of equiangular lines depending on the same real parameter ɣ. In addition, we give the angles for which our sextuples extend beyond and up to 9-tuples. We know that there exists a p-tuple, p ≥ 3, of equi-isoclinic planes generating Rr, r ≥ 4, with parameter c, 0< c <1, if and only if there exists a square symmetric matrix, called Seidel matrix, of p × p square blocks of order 2, whose diagonal blocks are all zero and the others are orthogonal matrices in O(2) and whose smallest eigenvalue is equal to - 1/c and has multiplicity 2p-r. In this thesis, we investigate the case r=6 and we also show that we can explicitly determine the spectrum of all Seidel matrices of order 2p, p ≥ 3 whose off-diagonal blocks are in {R0, S0} where R0 and S0 are respectively the zero-angle rotation and the zero-angle symmetry. We thus show an unexpected link between some p-tuples of equi-isoclinic planes in Rr and simple graphs of order p

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleIn the first part of this thesis, we study linear differential-algebraic equations (shortly, DAEs) and linear control systems given by DAEs (shortly, DAECSs). The discussed problems and obtained results are summarized as follows. 1. Geometric connections between linear DAEs and linear ODE control systems ODECSs. We propose a procedure, named explicitation, to associate a linear ODECS to any linear DAE. The explicitation of a DAE is a class of ODECSs, or more precisely, an ODECS defined up to a coordinates change, a feedback transformation and an output injection. Then we compare the Wong sequences of a DAE with invariant subspaces of its explicitation. We prove that the basic canonical forms, the Kronecker canonical form KCF of linear DAEs and the Morse canonical form MCF of ODECSs, have a perfect correspondence and their invariants (indices and subspaces) are related. Furthermore, we define the internal equivalence of two DAEs and show its difference with the external equivalence by discussing their relations with internal regularity, i.e., the existence and uniqueness of solutions. 2. Transform a linear DAECS into its feedback canonical form via the explicitation with driving variables. We study connections between the feedback canonical form FBCF of DAE control systems DAECSs proposed in the literature and the famous Morse canonical form MCF of ODECSs. In order to connect DAECSs with ODECSs, we use a procedure named explicitation (with driving variables). This procedure attaches a class of ODECSs with two kinds of inputs (the original control input and the vector of driving variables) to a given DAECS. On the other hand, for classical linear ODECSs (without driving variables), we propose a Morse triangular form MTF to modify the construction of the classical MCF. Based on the MTF, we propose an extended MTF and an extended MCF for ODECSs with two kinds of inputs. Finally, an algorithm is proposed to transform a given DAECS into its FBCF. This algorithm is based on the extended MCF of an ODECS given by the explication procedure. Finally, a numerical example is given to show the structure and efficiency of the proposed algorithm. For nonlinear DAEs and DAECSs (of quasi-linear form), we study the following problems: 3. Explicitations, external and internal analysis, and normal forms of nonlinear DAEs. We generalize the two explicitation procedures (with or without driving variable) proposed in the linear case for nonlinear DAEs of quasi-linear form. The purpose of these two explicitation procedures is to associate a nonlinear ODECS to any nonlinear DAE such that we can use the classical nonlinear ODE control theory to analyze nonlinear DAEs. We discuss differences of internal and external equivalence of nonlinear DAEs by showing their relations with the existence and uniqueness of solutions (internal regularity). Then we show that the internal analysis of nonlinear DAEs is closely related to the zero dynamics in the classical nonlinear control theory. Moreover, we show relations of DAEs of pure semi-explicit form with the two explicitation procedures. Furthermore, a nonlinear generalization of the Weierstrass form WE is proposed based on the zero dynamics of a nonlinear ODECS given by the explicitation procedure

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe thesis encompasses two research topics, namely, the micromechanical modeling of powder compaction and the local approach of ductile fracture of materials. The former part of the report is dealing with the kinematic approach of the yield design homogenization method which is used to obtain upper bounds of macroscopic strength criteria for powder compact. To this end, the granular medium is considered as a medium consisting of a periodic assembly of hexagonal cells. Firstly, a « primitive» unit cell consisting of a circular cylinder in which a grain is circumscribed is used in finite element analysis that provides insight into modes of deformation of grain. Secondly, eight relevant failure mechanisms for unit cells with appropriate geometries allow to obtain external estimates of macroscopic yield surfaces. The calculations are performed for both isostatic and closed die compression. The results thus obtained are compared with those provided by finite element calculations. The later part of the report, an elastoplastic constitutive model for porous materials based on the criterion of McElwain et al. (2006) is successfully implemented in Abaqus. This criterion has the peculiarity to account of the third invariant of stress. The necking of a cylindrical smooth bar, the tensile notched bar and the shear plane strain problem have been numerically simulated using this recent model and the results are compared with those derived from GTN model
