Der volle Inhalt der QuellePorous coordination polymers, more commonly known as MOFs "Metal-Organic Frameworks", are an emerging class of porous materials formed by the assembly of metal ions and organic ligands. Due to their structures and properties, MOFs have attracted great interest for a wide range of applications, mainly in gas storage and separation, catalysis, optics, energy storage…. One of the main advantages of these materials lies in the possibility of modulating or even enhancing their properties through functionalization. The functionalization of these materials is mostly carried out by wet chemical process that often presents some constraints like the duration of the reactions, the energy cost…. The work presented in this thesis concerns the study of the functionalization of these materials by a dry chemical method, in this case by a plasma treatment using an impulse dielectric barrier discharge (I-DBD). To the best of our knowledge, no method of functionalization of MOFs by plasma has yet been reported in the literature. The main objective of this thesis is to study the functionalization of these materials by DBD by grafting amino groups. A parametric study of the DBD discharge conditions made it possible to determine the most favorable DBD discharge parameters/conditions to produce nitrogen radicals in the plasma. Thus, this production is favored using an NH3 plasma compared to N2/H2 or Ar/N2/H2 plasmas. In addition, the discharge conditions optimized for carrying out DBD treatment in pulsed regime in NH3 are as follow: a voltage of 6 kVp-p, a frequency of 4 kHz, an inter-electrode distance of 3 mm and a pressure of 104 Pa. A first study of pre-functionalization of terephthalic acid showed the effectiveness of the DBD process in grafting amine groups onto the organic ligand. This work continued with the in-depth study of the DBD plasma treatment of two MOFs: zinc-based MOF-5 and aluminum-based MIL-53. These investigations have highlighted the ins tability of MOF-5 with respect to ammonia, thus highlighting the importance of working with trivalent or even tetravalent cations to carry out plasma treatments in NH3. The DBD treatment of MIL-53 Al has proven successful functionalization via insertion by substituting a carbon atom with a nitrogen one within the organic ligand, which opens the possibility of using this pathway to functionalize other MOFs. Finally, the analysis of the textural and hydrogen adsorption properties at room temperature and atmospheric pressure showed an improvement of the amount of hydrogen stored in the MIL-53 Al treated with DBD. Although this amount remains low, these results are promising to develop materials with a higher adsorption capacity at room temperature, or even at atmospheric pressure

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe long-term aim of the SYNERGY project (ANR), in which my thesis is involved, is to optimize the sorption and desorption properties of a porous material (e.g. MOFs) by combining and coupling different sorption mechanisms, both physical and chemical, in a single material. To achieve this, two types of plasma processes are used: the first to functionalize the surface of the material, and the second to impregnate its volume with metallic elements that react positively to hydrogen storage. To implement such plasma processes, it is necessary to focus on the plasma medium, which represents the reservoir of active species, and whose interaction with the material determines the final result. Thus, the objectives underlying my thesis work are based on the development of sub-microsecond transient high-voltage pulse regimes and understanding their impact on the plasma dynamics associated with such processes. The first is a dielectric barrier discharge (iDB) operating in a pulsed regime, at high pressure (> 104 Pa) and in pure ammonia gas, providing amino species for functionalization. Observation of this iDBD discharge in pure ammonia shows for the first time that a stable discharge can be obtained in diffuse mode. In addition, the various results obtained by fast imaging and E-FISH provide clues as to how this mode can be achieved. The second is a new high-voltage, sub-microsecond discharge regime called FHiVI², operating at low pressure (1 Pa). Designed and patented during my thesis, the aim of such a regime is to improve the ionization rate during plasma processes, while limiting the back-attraction of ions generated at the cathode, a common phenomenon in plasma-assisted sputtering processes. Coupled with a HiPIMS regime, the very first results from this new FHiVI² regime indicate that it can at least double the ionization rate compared with the HiPIMS regime

Está entre as infecções fúngicas mais frequentes da América Latina, sendo o Brasil o país de maior endemicidade, com maior prevalência na região Sudeste. O diagnóstico considerado por muitos autores padrão-ouro para a PCM é o encontro de células fúngicas sugestivas de Paracoccidioides brasiliensis no Exame Microscópico Direto (EMD) de escarro ou outros espécimes clinico, como raspado de lesão, aspirado de linfonodos, biopsia, etc. As provas sorológicas têm grande importância, complementando ou substituindo o exame micológico no diagnóstico/prognóstico da doença. O objetivo do presente estudo foi comparar dois desses testes sorológicos para PCM: a imunodifusão dupla (IDD) e o ensaio imunoenzimático ELISA. A metodologia foi estabelecida comparando-se títulos de anticorpos obtidos de três grupos de pacientes: 142 amostras de soros de 83 pacientes com PCM (Grupo I), 49 doadores saudáveis (Grupo II) e 13 pacientes com IDD positiva para outras micoses pulmonares: 11 com histoplasmose e 2 com aspergilose (Grupo III). Nossos resultados mostraram que a 8 (9,6%) e 5 (6,0%) dos pacientes com PCM foram falso negativo ao teste de IDD e ELISA, respectivamente. Dentro do grupo de pacientes saudáveis, não houve casos de falso positivo na IDD, porém, 5 (10,2%) amostras foram positivas com títulos baixos no ELISA. Entre os 13 pacientes com outras micoses, o ELISA mostrou que 10 (77,0%) foram positivos enquanto a IDD não apresentou nenhum caso de reação cruzada. A sensibilidade do ELISA (93,9%) foi um pouco superior ao da IDD (90,3%). A especificidade do ELISA calculada como base o controle saudável e os pacientes com outras micoses foi 89,7% e 23,1%, respectivamente. A IDD mostrou uma especificidade de 100% para ambos os casos. Os valores preditivos positivos e negativos foram de 100% e 83,8% para IDD e de 88,5% e 90,3% para ELISA, respectivamente. A acurácia dos testes também foi calculada: a IDD teve 94,4% e o ELISA 86,2% de acurácia. Paracoccidioidomycosis (PCM) is a systemic mycosis caused by the dimorphic fungus Paracoccidioides brasiliensis. It is among the most common fungal infections in Latin America, with Brazil being the country of highest endemicity, mainly in the Southeast part. The diagnosis considered by many authors as gold standard for the PCM is the finding of suggestive yeast cells of Paracoccidioides brasiliensis in the Direct Microscopic Examination of sputum or other clinical specimens, such as scraping the lesion, lymph node aspirate, biopsy, etc. The serological tests are of great importance, since they complement or replace the mycological examination in the diagnosis / prognosis of the disease. The aim of this study was to compare two serological tests for PCM: a double immunodiffusion (IDD) and Enzyme-Linked Immunoabsorbent Assay (ELISA). The methodology was established by comparing antibody titers obtained from three groups of patients: 145 serum samples from 83 patients with PCM (Group I), 49 healthy blood donors (Group II) and 13 patients with IDD positive for other pulmonary mycoses: 11 with histoplasmosis and 2 with aspergillosis (Group III). Our results showed that eight (9.6%) and 5 (6.0%) of patients with PCM were false negative to the IDD and ELISA tests, respectively. In the group of healthy patients, no cases of false positive in IDD were observed; however, 5 (10.2%) of samples were positive with low titers in ELISA. Among the 13 patients with other mycoses, the ELISA showed that 10 (77.0%) were positive while the IDD tests did not show any case of cross-reaction. The sensitivity of the ELISA (93.9%) was slightly higher than the IDD (90.3%). The specificity of the ELISA calculated basing on the healthy control and patients with other mycoses was 89.7% and 23.1%, respectively. IDD showed 100% of specificity for both cases. The positive predictive and negative predictive values were 100% and 83.8% for IDD and 88.5% and 90.3% for ELISA, respectively. The accuracy of the tests was also calculated: the IDD was 94.4% while ELISA was 86.2%.

This locus is of special interest because the corresponding genetic region include candidate genes like Ctla4 or Icos. Moreover, the human synteny on chromosome 2q is also a susceptibility region for human diabetes (IDDM 12 locus) and include CTLA4. The Idd5 locus has been investigated using congenic recombinant strains of mice. We have also characterized the genetic control of autoimmune phenotypes associated to NOD mice diabetes, like the inducible thyroi͏̈ditis of chronic evolution and spontaneous infiltration of salivary glands

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe Telemetry Data Center (TDC) at White Sands Missile Range (WSMR), New Mexico recently targeted analog best source selectors for replacement along with their associated signal handling equipments. The commercial selectors available offered no better performance, so TDC engineers circulated a "White Paper" on real time correlation based compositing. Within two years a Correlating Source Selector (CSS) was fielded successfully. The CSS’s bridging feature unexpectedly opened the door to a ubiqituous software decommutator (decom) that has catalyzed a complete “make-over” of the entire TDC architecture. Hardware and software interaction in a decom is different with the CSS. While performing its correlation tasks the CSS is able to provide raw data over TCP/IP directly to the end application. The CSS places the data in computer friendly frame aligned form and the decommutation may be performed in software. The converse is similarly simple, a data file maybe transferred to the CSS for commutation into PCM. This white paper describes the morphing of software decommutation into a commodity, integrated into each end device, be it graphics display, Disk or Chart recorder. The result is an interesting consolidation that spawns a new functionally integrated Telemetry Data Center ( iTDC). This integrated Display Decom (iDD) concept has been demonstrated on Apple G5 RISC computers.

This can affect both the activities and relationships between them. The purpose of this paper is to gain a better understanding of how the relationship between companies in the insurance market is changing as a consequence of a major political change and which factors can be relevant to this change. To investigate this, representatives from insurance companies and insurance brokers are interviewed about the forthcoming Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD). To investigate how the relationships changed, a model of the relationship, based in, among others, Anderson and Narus (1990) model, which deals with the constituents of a relationship and how they relate to each other. To investigate the factors which influence how the relationship changes, a model of Hadjikhani, Thilenius and Pourmand (2009) is used, which explains how political changes can affect companies, both directly through legislation and indirectly through other companies. The conclusions drawn are that: Relationships between insurance companies and insurance brokers are affected by regulations such as the Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) and that the relationship begins to change even before the regulation is implemented. The relationship between the companies influences the extent to which companies are exposed to direct and indirect influence as a result of political regulations. The degree of indirect impact on the various companies can affect the relationship between the companies. A political change can contain both supporting and compelling elements.

A avaliação de um determinado ramo do conhecimento, propicia dignificar o saber quando métodos confiáveis e sistemáticos são utilizados para mostrar à sociedade como tal saber vem se desenvolvendo e de que maneira tem contribuído para resolver os problemas que se apresentam dentro de sua área de abrangência. No contexto da avaliação institucional podem ser observadas questões múltiplas como de estrutura, de organização e funcionamento, e de expectativas, mas, sobretudo, a construção do conhecimento. Os sistemas de informação em bibliotecas estabelecem, nos seus processos de medição, dados que retratam sua evolução histórica, com o intuito de quantificar seu desempenho e produtividade; porém, não vinculam uma relação dos resultados obtidos ao planejamento estratégico e, consequentemente, aos objetivos de qualidade da organização, os quais poderiam oferecer parâmetros de análise sobre o que se está medindo, para que se mede e porque se mede. Nem tampouco estabelecem índices, tais como: de resultado, de impacto, de desenvolvimento, os quais poderiam demonstrar a expansão de suas potencialidades. Como objetivo geral a pesquisa propôs a criação de índice de desenvolvimento para as bibliotecas universitárias brasileiras (IDBU) a partir da análise da literatura sobre indicadores. Propôs, ainda, como objetivos específicos: identificar a tipologia de indicadores de acordo com os processos de uso da informação: construção de significado, construção do conhecimento e tomada de decisões, através de benchmarking internacional e análises comparativas; testar a hipótese e os indicadores utilizados nos sistemas de medição e monitoramento das bibliotecas universitárias; criar algoritmo para composição do IDBU; propor um índice de desenvolvimento para bibliotecas universitárias. Os procedimentos metodológicos propostos são de natureza qualiquantitativa, sendo do tipo descritiva exploratória, aplicando-se como método o "Modelo Interpretativo de Análise" (MIA), desenvolvido por Marteleto (2000) e a Análise de Redes Sociais (ARS) do autor J. David Johnson (2011). Os instrumentos utilizados para coleta e tratamento dos dados foram o Software Estatístico Minitab; Software de Análise de Redes Sociais UCINET e Fontes de Pesquisa. A presente pesquisa obteve como resultados a análise do comportamento da literatura sobre os indicadores para bibliotecas universitárias; proposição da metodologia, representação matemática, fórmula, elaboração de diagrama de composição do IDBU e criação do índice de desenvolvimento de bibliotecas universitárias, propriamente dito, assim como a construção de Repositório Temático sobre o assunto, disponível na Web.
The evaluation of a particular branch of knowledge, provides dignify know when reliable and systematic methods are used to show the society as such knowledge is developing and how has contributed to solving the problems that arise in their area. The institutional evaluation context can be seen multiple issues such as structure, organization and operation, and expectations, but above all the construction of knowledge. Information systems in libraries shall include in its measurement process, data reflecting its historical evolution, in order to quantify their performance and productivity; however, they do not bind a list of results of the strategic planning and, consequently, the quality objectives of the organization, which could offer analysis parameters about what is being measured, that is measured and why it is measured. Not establish indices, such as the result of impact of development, which could demonstrate the expansion of its capabilities. The general objective of the research proposes the creation of development index for Brazilian university libraries from the literature analysis of indicators. It proposed moreover the following objectives: identify the type of indicators according to the use of information processes: construction of meaning, knowledge building and decision-making through international benchmarking and comparative analyzes; test the hypothesis and the indicators used in measuring and monitoring systems of university libraries; create algorithm for composition of IDBU; propose a development index for university libraries. The proposed methodological procedures are quantitative qualitative nature, being of exploratory descriptive, applying as a method to "Interpretive Model Analysis" (MIA) developed by Marteleto (2000) and the Social Network Analysis (SNA) the author Johnson (2011). The instruments used for the collection and processing of data were the Statistical Software Minitab; Software Social Network Analysis and Research UCINET sources. This research had as results the analysis of the literature on behavioral indicators for university libraries; proposition of the methodology, mathematical representation, formula, preparing IDBU composition diagram and the creation of university libraries development index, itself, as well as the construction of the Theme Repository on the subject, available on the Web.

Invasive Development Disorders (IDD) are a group of conditions characterized by the onset of lags and impairments in the development of social, communication and behavioral skills during infancy. The empathy capacity prejudice has been indicated as an endophenotype characteristic of IDD. The present study evaluates and compares empathy in people with IDD and a control group through a task of judging basic facial expressions that are contained in an Empathy Card-deck, an instrument developed by the researcher. Seven male participants with IDD, aged between 6 and 15 years, a minimum IQ of 70 (Wisc III) and all fulfilling criteria for IDD diagnosis (DSM IV) were evaluated. The IDD group erred significantly more than the control group in judging the card-deck of basic facial expression photos (p< 0.001), in the card-deck of drawings (p=0.007) and in both tests when the total performance was analyzed (p< 0.001). There was a significant difference between the control and IDD groups in the expression of doubt (p=0.031) and disgust (p=0.005) in the Drawings Card-deck, and in the expression of disgust (p=0.005) in the Photo Card-deck, always with a greater error index for the IDD group. When analyzing the performance in Photos and Drawings together, there is a statistically significant difference between expressions of doubt (p=0.012), disgust (p<0.001) and surprise (p=0.006). The results obtained reinforce the findings of previous studies about empathic capacity prejudice in individuals with IDD.
Os Transtornos Invasivos do Desenvolvimento (TID) são um grupo de condições caracterizadas pelo início na primeira infância de atrasos e déficits no desenvolvimento das habilidades sociais, comunicativas e comportamentais. O prejuízo da capacidade de empatia vem sendo apontado como um aspecto característico do endofenótipo dos TID. O presente estudo avaliou e comparou empatia em pessoas com TID e um grupo controle, através de tarefa de julgamento de expressões faciais básicas, contidas no Baralho da Empatia, instrumento desenvolvido pela pesquisadora. Foram avaliados 7 participantes com TID, do sexo masculino, com idades entre 6 e 15 anos, com QI mínimo de 70 (Wisc III) e que preenchiam critérios para diagnóstico de TID (DSM IV). Foram pareados por idade, sexo e inteligência com indivíduos com desenvolvimento normal. O grupo com TID errou significativamente mais que o controle, no julgamento de expressões faciais nas fotos (p< 0,001), nos desenhos (p=0,007) e nos dois testes quando analisado o desempenho total (p< 0,001). Houve diferença significativa entre controle e TID nas expressões de dúvida (p=0,031) e nojo (p=0,005) no Baralho de Desenhos, e nas Fotos, na expressão de nojo (p=0,018), sempre com maior índice de erros do grupo TID. Quando analisado o desempenho nas Fotos e Desenhos juntos, aparece diferença estatisticamente significante entre expressões de dúvida (p=0,012), nojo (p<0,001) e surpresa (p=0,006). Os resultados obtidos reforçam achados de pesquisas anteriores sobre o prejuízo da capacidade de empatia em pessoas com TID.

O campus como base física de suporte aos sistemas de educação superior de massa adotado de forma globalizada a partir dos anos 1950 e sua contextualização histórica e projetual no âmbito brasileiro encontra um número muito reduzido de estudos. A exemplo da Europa e dos Estados Unidos, sob as pressões demográficas ocorridas após a Segunda Guerra Mundial e como imperativo de desenvolvimento econômico, inúmeros campi brasileiros foram implantados. Porém, já em 1975, os Anais do I Seminário Nacional sobre Planejamento de Campi Universitários retratavam inadequações dos novos campi das universidades federais que as incapacitavam de atender às demandas da Reforma Universitária de 1968. Sucessivos acordos de empréstimo foram assinados com o Banco Interamericano de Desenvolvimento para a reestruturação física desses espaços. O último deles, o Programa MEC/BID III, firmado nos anos 1980, destinou 105 milhões de dólares a nove universidades federais, visando expansões, preenchimento de lacunas e solução de deficiências físicas remanescentes da implantação desses campi nas décadas de 1960 e 1970. Como objetivo geral, este trabalho aborda um tema da maior importância para o planejamento físico do espaço universitário: a consolidação do campus como tendência internacional mesmo em países como a França, onde, até os anos 1950, ele não era sequer uma realidade a ser copiada, e o Brasil, onde até os anos 1960 predominavam faculdades isoladas. Como objetivo específico destaca-se a investigação dos aspectos históricos e arquitetônicos relacionados aos campi federais brasileiros na década de 1980, na esteira das ações de reestruturação e expansão física das universidades, no âmbito do Programa MEC/BID III, coordenado pelo Centro de Desenvolvimento e Apoio Técnico à Educação (CEDATE). A metodologia utilizada se relaciona com o campo dos estudos historiográficos na Arquitetura e no Urbanismo. A busca das fontes secundárias conduziu a pesquisa à Biblioteca da FAU/USP, onde foram coletados 42 artigos nacionais oferecidos pelo Índice de Arquitetura Brasileira e 90 títulos de artigos internacionais dos mais tradicionais periódicos. Conduziu também à UFF, onde foi coletada literatura específica sobre campus universitário e sobre o Programa MEC/BID III. Constituiu também importante fonte secundária a literatura internacional oferecida por Muthesius (2000), Chapman (2006), Turner (1984), De Carlo (2005) e outros do cenário nacional, como Alberto (2003), Cunha (2007) e Rodrigues (2001). As fontes primárias foram privilegiadas por meio de entrevistas com profissionais oriundos do CEDATE, bem como com arquitetos, engenheiros e gestores do processo de implantação do campus da UFJF na década de 1970 e outros atuantes em sua consolidação, na década de 1980. Para a materialização da abordagem, este trabalho apresenta um estudo de caso da Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora, um campus típico oriundo das grandes implantações dos anos 1960 e consolidado posteriormente, nos anos 1980, por meio do Programa MEC/BID III. Os resultados encontrados ao longo do estudo evidenciam uma profunda identidade e convergência dos processos experimentados na Europa com a experiência vivida no ensino superior brasileiro a partir de meados do século XX.
The campus as a physical support base for mass higher education systems, which was adopted globally from the 1950s, and its historical and conceptual context from the Brazilian point of view have been subjected to very few studies. Following the example of Europe and the United States, due to demographic pressures after World War II and the need for economic development, numerous Brazilian campuses were implemented. In 1975, however, the Proceedings of the First National Seminar on the University Campus Planning already revealed the shortcomings of the new campuses of federal universities, which made it impossible for them to meet the demands of the 1968 University Reform Act. Successive agreements were signed with the International Development Bank for the restructuring of these physical spaces. The last of these, the MEC/IDB III program signed in 1980, allocated USD 105 million to nine federal universities in order for them to expand, fill in the gaps and find solutions for the shortcomings that remained after the establishment of these campuses in the 1960s and 70s. The general objective of this paper is to delve into an issue of major importance for the physical planning of the university space: the consolidation of the campus as international trend even in countries like France, where they didn’t even exist until the 1950s, and Brazil, where until the 1960s the isolated College prevailed. Among the specific objectives stands the inquiry of historic and architectural aspects related to campuses of federal universities due to restructuring and physical expansion activities that occurred within the scope of the MEC/IDB III program in the 1980s, through the actions of CEDATE - Centre for Development and Technical Support in Education. The methodology used is related to the field of historiographical studies in Architecture and Urbanism. The search for secondary sources led the research to the FAU-USP library, which provided 42 national articles offered by the Brazilian Architecture Index and 90 titles of international articles from the most traditional international journals. It also led to the UFF, where specific literature was gathered on university campuses and the MEC/IDB III program. Also were important as secondary sources the international literature offered by Muthesius (2000), Chapman (2006), Turner (1984), De Carlo (2005) and other national publications from such authors as Alberto (2003), Cunha (2007) and Rodrigues (2001). Furthermore, the primary sources were prioritized in this study. Interviews were conducted with professionals from CEDATE as well as with architects, engineers and managers involved in the implementation process of the UFJF campus in the 1970s, and others who worked on its 1980’s consolidation. To put this approach into practice, this paper presents a case study of the Federal University of Juiz de Fora, which is a typical Brazilian campus from the large 1960’s implementations, which was later consolidated in the 1980s through the MEC/IDB III program. The results found during the study show a profound identification and convergence of the processes experienced in Europe with the Brazilian higher education experience since the mid -twentieth century.

Tendo por base a revisão da literatura, em particular a nova conceção de DID, bem como o enquadramento legal em vigor, procura-se perceber como é a resposta educativa para alunos com DID e como decorre o seu processo de transição pós-escolar na escola pública atual. As DID implicam transformações, a vários níveis, no processo de ensinoaprendizagem, pelo que a finalidade dos programas educativos para estes jovens é a sua preparação para uma vida em sociedade com a maior autonomia, competência e dignidade possível. Tal constitui um desafio para as escolas públicas de hoje, incluindo as de nível secundário, uma vez prolongada a escolaridade obrigatória para os doze anos. Assente numa metodologia quantitativa, este é um estudo de caráter exploratório, de tipo descritivo, que envolveu 70 participantes, entre professores de Educação Especial, Diretores de Turma e Encarregados de Educação de alunos com DID. Os dados foram recolhidos, através de inquérito por questionário, em dez escolas da rede escolar pública no Norte de Portugal. Após a análise dos resultados do estudo, concluiu-se que o modelo concetual de DID não é ainda do conhecimento generalizado dos professores, pese embora os currículos específicos individuais elaborados para os alunos com DID refletirem uma preocupação com a funcionalidade dos jovens. Apurou-se que o DL nº3/2008 está a ser cumprido no âmbito na TVPE, seguindo-se o preconizado na lei para o início, a conceção e implementação do PIT. No levantamento dos pontos fortes e dos obstáculos à TVPE, constatou-se como fundamental a cooperação entre escola, aluno e família, ao passo que os maiores constrangimentos no processo surgem ao nível da cooperação entre escola e comunidade envolvente.
This study aims at analysing and reflecting upon the post-school transition of students with special educational needs (SEN), namely with Intellectual Developmental Disabilities (IDD), in today’s inclusive schools, during 12 years. Starting off with the literature revision, specially on the new definition of IDD, and an overlook on the current legal framework, the study’s author aims at understanding, through an exploratory and descriptive study, what the education of learners with IDD consists of and their post-school transition process in regular state schools nowadays. Intellectual Developmental Disabilities introduce several transformations to the learning and teaching process, because the aim of the school programs for these youngster is their preparation for life in society, as autonomous, competent and dignified as possible. That is a challenge for state schools nowadays, including secondary schools, since compulsory education has been extended for twelve years. Based on a quantitative methodology, this is an exploratory study, of descriptive nature, which involved 70 participants, among Special Educational Needs (SEN) teachers, head teachers and parents/tutors of students with IDD. Results were gathered through a survey in ten state schools in the north of Portugal. Results show that most teachers aren’t yet acquainted with the concept of IDD. Still, the curricula made for students with IDD reflect a functional basis. It was also possible to check that Public-Law no. 3/2008 is being followed in the process of postsecondary transition (PST), regarding its beginning, conception and implementation. The study carried out a survey on the strengths and obstacles on the PST, having found that the cooperation between school, students and families is the basis for success, while most difficulties in the process lie in the cooperation between school and surrounding community.

Regarding to insurance distribution, the Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD), which entered into force in 2018, shows a growing interference of European rules. This thesis examines how Union law, and in particular IDD, is changing the French contours of insurance distribution. This influence takes place in different ways. First, the scope of the rules framing the activity is broadened, thus posing various terminological questions. Then, the content of these constraints is revisited according to two aspects.The first aspect is the most innovative and largely derived from the IDD. European law now incorporates customer protection, taken in a global way, before the act of distribution. In this regard, it establishes an arsenal to avoid conflicts of interest, as well as constraints on the product governance and oversight. These new rules should allow the policyholder to benefit from a more favourable context when he enters into or joins an insurance contract. The novelty of these texts raises questions about the terms used and their integration into French law.The second aspect concerns the policyholder's protection as known in France, at the individual level. It is then up to the European law to add obligations to the burden of professionals in the field of information and advice. While these requirements, intended to clarify the policyholder's consent, already exist in French law, they are amplified by Union law, including the IDD

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe market-oriented reforms carried out in Brazil and Ecuador from the 1980s and 1990s diminished the public expenses and the human resources in the national organizations of cultural heritage. In order to meet the demand for those resources, the international financial agent has come up in the arena of cultural heritage policy. In this context, this thesis aims at understanding the power relation between the national heritage organs and the multilateral institution, which supports several policies of cultural heritage, as well as the ways they choose their policies. To do so, starting with the experiences from two Latin American countries, Brazil and Ecuador, an analysis was held in order to determine to what extent the national organs relieved themselves of accomplishing the public policies for the sector, which caused them to undergo interference by the international financial organs. As the object of study, three organizations were chosen: the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the Instituto do Patrimônio Histórico e Artístico Nacional (National Institute of Artistic and Historical Heritage) (IPHAN), in Brazil, and the Instituto Nacional de Patrimonio Cultural (National Institute of Cultural Heritage) (INPC), in Ecuador. The research has used related literature, documentary and field research, as well as interviews with the managers of the organs in study. The hypothesis confirmed was that the process of weakening of the national institutions of cultural heritage has contributed decisively to deprive, progressively, the power to decide, implement and evaluate public policies for the preservation of cultural heritage of the State domains. However, it has not been proved that the decisions had been transferred to international organs; rather, to the public initiative, seeking to turn the national organs focused on preservation of heritage into mere chancellors of the decisions made apart from them. It has also been observed that the process of dismantling the Brazilian and Ecuadorian national institutions of cultural heritage was reversed in the last years during the government of Luis Inácio Lula da Silva and Rafael Corrêa, echoing, also, in the conduct of public policies for the sector sponsored by the IDB.

Li Master Program of Management for Executives National Chiao Tung University ABSTRACT The intention of this thesis is to discuss whether the existing varied performance measurements can lead all the members of company stride forward together to the objective of the company as a whole, or, on the contrary mislead the parts drop into the local optimum or even to proceed in the opposite direction? The most important thing of the performance measurement is in order to induce the parts (subsystem) to do what is good for the system as a whole, therefore, measurements are not just numbers, and furthermore measurements are the vehicle to influence a behavior. For the sake of getting this purpose, Dr. Goldratt bring forward two breakthrough concepts in performance measurements- TDD(Throughput Dollar-Days) and IDD(Inventory Dollar-Days),by way of the mutual comparison as well as validation in-company major performance measurements of studied case with these two simple KPI, they root out that some golden rules which have been esteemed for a long time might result in local optimum even lead to damage the goal of whole company. Nevertheless, while they cut -in from the point of view of TDD and IDD, actually they can find that all kind of objectives will reach the same goal by different routes and hang together toward what is good for the company as a whole, it is really touch everybody with new and fresh field of vision. Through the comparison and validation of current performance measurements of studied case-factory with TDD&IDD, I found that these two KPI are not only capable of edge out their current performance measurements but also can lead the whole employee to do what is good for the company as a whole, I also try to cut-in from the other aspect of measurements to challenge the applicability of these two KPIs, but there is not any weak point can be attacked actually. Folksay that the more complicated the problem, the simpler the solution must be, these two KPI- TDD and IDD are look like very simple but they are approved not only capable of connecting varied performance measurements in harmony, moreover, they are in a position to induce the parts to do what is good for the system as a whole spontaneously, It is really impressed everyone! At the end of this research,it also bring forward how to extend the concepts of TDD and IDD to the application of other fields, as well as how to introduce TDD and IDD smoothly to subsystem.

To consider the principle of continuously improvement and management, we know that focus on global performance is the key. But in fact, we find the departments of business are so emphasize on local benefits that hurt the global performance and create so many problems to managers. This is because the current KPI is not link the local performance to global performance. Two performance measurement indices TDD and IDD proposed by Dr. Goldratt claim that they can link local performance to global performance. In order to verify this advocation, this research first collects a series of KPI currently used by most semiconductor fab. Secondly, each KPI is reviewed and studied to see it whether can link local performance to global performance or not. Finally, a study of whether TDD/IDD can replace it is performance. Results of the study show that the KPI which currently used by the industries of semiconductor will fall into the trap that critically emphasize the local performance. Use TDD and IDD not only avoid the problems which produce by emphasize the local performance but also provide the managers a speedy and clearly direction of improvement.

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleBioactive gibberellins (GAs) are phytohormones with various effects on plant development, from seed germination through fruit development. The signaling pathway of GA is centered on DELLA proteins (DELLAs), a group of growth repressors degraded upon perception of GA. Previous studies demonstrated that DELLAs administrate global regulation of gene expression. However, given that DELLAs do not contain any canonical DNA-binding domain and that DELLAs only have a moderate association to their target promoters, the nuclear-localized DELLAs are believed to interact with transcription factors for function. Indeed, quite a few transcription factors have been identified as DELLA interactors in the plant model Arabidopsis thaliana, some of which are well-known downstream transcription regulators involved in other signaling pathways. Nevertheless, the molecular mechanisms how DELLAs inhibit so many aspects of plant growth cannot be fully explained by the known DELLA interactors.
Recently, our lab discovered that INDETERMINATE DOMAIN 1 (IDD1), a C2H2 zinc-finger protein in Arabidopsis, and its closest homolog IDD2, have a strong physical interaction with DELLAs, revealing the potential involvement of these two IDD genes in GA signaling. Hence, the objectives of my doctoral research are (1) to evaluate the roles of IDD1 and IDD2 in GA-responsive phenotypes, (2) to investigate the genetic interaction between IDD1, IDD2 and DELLAs and (3) to identify the function of IDD1 and IDD2 and the significance of IDD-DELLA interaction in transcriptional regulation of IDD/DELLA targets. First, we found that both IDDs redundantly promote GA-induced hypocotyl elongation, and that they also play a positive role in stem elongation and floral initiation. Secondly, epistasis analyses exhibit that REPRESSOR OF ga1-3 (RGA) and GA INSENSITIVE (GAI), two DELLAs with a predominant role in vegetative growth, antagonize IDD1 and IDD2 in hypocotyl elongation, and that GAI also opposes IDD2 in stem elongation and floral initiation. These results entail an antagonistic relationship between IDDs and DELLAs via protein-protein interaction. We then showed that IDD1 and IDD2 repress the expression of canonical DELLA direct targets, including GA20ox2, GA3ox1, GID1b and SCL3. IDD1 also inhibits transcription of CAPRICE (CPC) and GLABRA2 (GL2), two crucial regulators of root epidermal cell patterning. Taking into account that IDD1 and RGA associate with the same region in CPC promoter, we conclude that CPC is a direct target of the IDD1/RGA complex. In addition, transient expression assays suggested that IDD1 and RGA counteract each other's effects on expression of GA20ox2, GID1b, SCL3, CPC and GL2, providing evidence that IDDs and DELLAs function antagonistically in transcriptional regulation of downstream genes in general. Although both IDDs bear a putative repression motif GLGLGL in their C termini, mutation of this motif did not affect the repressive activity of IDD1 in our transient expression system. On the other hand, fusion of the viral protein 16 (VP16) transcriptional activation domain to IDD1 seems to override the original repressive activity of IDD1. Together, these results uncover a new branch of GA signaling pathway through IDD1 and IDD2, shed light on the interplay of the two IDDs and DELLAs in GA feedback regulation and give insights into the molecular mechanism underlying IDD-mediated GA repression of root hair development.

This study was intended to examine the overview of graduates with IDDfrom section of special education in vocational high school who entered intothe college. Furthermore, it was to know their college adjustment, the factors oftheir college adjustments and how they would solve the problems which they met. The method adopted in this study was a case study research, andchoosing participants was by purposive sampling. The researcher interviewed five participants and their significant others. In addition, the researcher alsoobserved them and collected their archival data. Constant comparisonmethods were mainly used to analyze data. The findings of this study arelisted as follows: 1. Their college adjustment are affected by their physical characteristics and the achievement standards of their academic majors. 2. The obvious issues appear in their college academic performances. 3. As having the difficulties of college adjustment, they will find a way to deal with it. According to the findings, several suggestions are provided forgraduates from section of special education in vocational high school whowant to entry into the college and their parents, educational administrations and researchers who are willing to conduct further study on this topic.

The purpose of the study was to investigate the effect of the word recognition learning by using the computer-assisted instructions for students with IDD., analyze the error types of different phases ( baseline phase, retardation phase and maintenance phase) and understand the satisfaction of their parents by visiting. The research subjects are two students with IDD in one of junior high schools in Yunlin county. The experiment selects “withdrawal design of single subject research design(A-B-A’) “ and execute for three weeks, three classes per week,nine classes in total. The collected data are presented and futher analyzed by diagram of line graph, visual analysis and C statistics. The findings were summarized as follows: 1.Computer-assisted instructions can promote effects on word recognition learning immediately for junior high school students with IDD. 2.Computer-assisted instructions can maintain great effects on word recognition learning for junior high school students with IDD. 3.In baseline phase, “No response” and “unknown error ” constituted the majority of error types made by students with IDD at the pronunciation test and listening-choose test. In intervention phase and maintenance phase, the errors of “No response” and “ unknown error” were decreased apparently. 4. The parents of students with IDD.have higher satisfaction for computer-assisted instructions. According to the conclusions of this study, the research provides the suggestion to parents, education and future research for other teachers’ and researchers’ reference.

The overall purpose of this study was to describe a model for the development of women in construction in the Limpopo Province of South Africa. To achieve this purpose two phases were used i.e., the two stage empirical phase that employed a mixed method research process to identify and understand the development needs of women in construction and a theory-generation phase, which consisted of 8 stages that interfaced with phase 1 The population of the study were stakeholders in the construction industry namely, women contractors who are active grade 2 (registered as such on the CIDB register of contractors) and owner-managers in the Limpopo Province of South Africa, representative of the board of the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB), Construction Education and Training Authority (CETA), the Independent Development Trust (IDT), the Council for the Built Environment (CBE) and the South African Women in Construction (SAWIC). Qualitative data was collected through in-depth one-on-one interviews, whilst quantitative data was gathered through administering questionnaires. Six (6) stakeholders participated in the interviews and out of the targeted 167 in the CIDB register, 120 completed the questionnaires. The results of the empirical phase were subjected to the 8-step method of theory generation according to Chinn and Kramer (2011:152- 205). A conceptual framework for the model for development of rural women in construction was organized by applying the proposed elements of a practice theory according to Dickhoff, James & Wiedenbach (1968) and Barnum (1994). The theoretical evaluation of a model was done utilizing Chinn and Kramer (2011:205) criteria for evaluation of a theory. Guidelines to operationalize the theory were also described as well as recommendations and conclusion.

Mais especificamente, quis-se 1) Caraterizar o contexto institucional no que se refere à intervenção na área da literacia quanto ao meio envolvente e às atividades de literacia; e 2) Caraterizar os clientes da instituição quanto às suas competências de literacia e a motivação para a leitura. Como estratégia de pesquisa optou-se pelo estudo de caso, em que a unidade em análise correspondeu a uma instituição particular de solidariedade social (IPSS), intitulada de “Quinta-essência – Qe, Uma Nova Linguagem para a Incapacidade”, constituída sob a forma de associação civil sem fins lucrativos para jovens e adultos com DID. Participaram neste estudo 8 clientes do Centro de Atividades Ocupacionais (CAO) da Qe. Como metodologia de recolha de dados optou-se pela observação participante, completada com o registo estruturado (duas grelhas de observação pedagógicas no domínio da leitura e da escrita) e um conjunto de provas desenvolvidas no âmbito da investigação em literacia emergente. De um modo geral, considera-se que este estudo respondeu aos objetivos a que se propôs. Os resultados apresentados revelaram que a Qe valoriza a educação literária dos seus clientes, pois, para o efeito, investe em diferentes áreas de trabalho organizadas, em projetos e atividades diversificadas e frequentes, facilitando os recursos necessários ao seu desenvolvimento. Além disso, verificou-se que os clientes analisados estão aptos e motivados para a aquisição e desenvolvimento da literacia.
This paper aimed to understand how literary education is held in an institution for young people and adults with “Intellectual and Developmental Difficulty” (IDD). Specifically, it was intended to 1) Characterize the institutional context with regard to intervention in the area of literacy regarding the environment and literacy activities; and 2) Characterize the institution's clients regarding their literacy skills and reading motivation. The research strategy adopted was the case study, in which the unit under analysis corresponded to a particular social solidarity institution (IPSS), entitled “Quinta-essência – Qe, Uma Nova Linguagem para a Incapacidade”, constituted under the non-profit civil association for young people and adults with IDD. Eight clients from Qe's Occupational Activities Center (OAC) participated in this study. The data collection methodology used was the participant observation, complemented by a structured register (two pedagogical observation grids in the field of reading and writing) and a set of tests developed in the emerging literacy research. In general, it is considered that this study responded to the objectives set. The results showed that Qe values the literary education of its clients, because, for this purpose, it invests in different organized work areas, in diverse and frequent projects and activities, facilitating the necessary resources for its development. In addition, it was found that the clients analyzed are able and motivated for the acquisition and development of literacy.

Por isso, torna-se crucial a conceção de espaços físicos/infraestruturas, que consigam dar resposta às necessidades apresentadas por esta população. Logo é imprescindível que estes locais viabilizem a criação de condições que promovam a qualidade de vida e o bem-estar destes indivíduos. O projeto “Estimulação Multissensorial e Cognitiva em Adultos com Dificuldades Intelectuais e Desenvolvimentais: prevenção do declínio cognitivo e promoção da qualidade de vida” foi desenvolvido num Centro de Atividades Ocupacionais que alberga 70 adultos com DID e teve, como finalidade, a promoção da autonomia e bem-estar destes adultos. Assim sendo, e tendo sempre como referência os interesses, as necessidades e as potencialidades do público-alvo, foram criadas diversas atividades, sustentadas em duas linhas orientadoras: a Estimulação Multissensorial e a Estimulação Cognitiva. Através da análise ao processo e aos resultados foi possível comprovar que se alcançaram resultados bastante positivos, resultados que permitem evidenciar a importância e a pertinência da intervenção em contexto de Centro de Atividades Ocupacionais.
According to the Disabled Portuguese Association (Associação Portuguesa de Deficientes), there are about half a million of individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) in Portugal. Thus, it is essential to create physical facilities adapted to the disabled people’s needs, which promote their life quality and well-being. This project “Cognitive and Multisensory Stimulation in Adults with Developmental and Intellectual Difficulties: prevention of cognitive decline and life quality promotion” was developed in an Occupational Activity Centre that provides lodging for 70 adults with IDD which has as purpose the promotion of their autonomy and well-being. Having always as a reference the interests, needs and potentialities of the target audience, several activities were anchored on two guiding lines: Multisensory Stimulation and Cognitive Stimulation. Through the process analysis and its results, it was possible to prove the importance and the relevance of Occupational Activity Centres in context.

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe report describes the work developed during the curricular internship, which was part of the Master's Degree in Psychomotor Rehabilitation, carried out at the the Occupational Activities Center (OAC) of the Center for Education for the Citizen with Disability (C.E.C.D.). The internship lasted approximately eight months, with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) as the target population. During the internship the trainee had the possibility to participate in several institutional experiences and also to perform Psychomotor Therapy, in the context of gymnasium, Adaptive Physical, Aquatic Environment and Therapeutic Riding. The main objective of the intervention is to maintain psychomotor skills, aiming at improving their quality of life. This report will initially present a framework of professional practice, making a characterization of the institution, target population and some aspects inherent to the internship. Afterwards, the stages of the internship will be presented, a description of the intervention groups, plans, results and difficulties experienced. In the final part of the report will be presented a final reflection on the learning made during the internship.

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleA presente investigação tem como objetivo primordial estudar a influência do programa de intervenção educativa PIAAR-R nos níveis de atenção e de reflexividade em adultos com Dificuldade Intelectual e Desenvolvimental (DID). O estudo apresenta-se como uma investigação quase-experimental,sendo a amostra constituída por 20 adultos que frequentavam dois Centros de Atividades Ocupacionais (CAO) da APPACDM de Lisboa, com idades compreendidas entre os 20 e 63 anos, de ambos os sexos (65% do sexo masculino e 35% do sexo feminino).A avaliação da Atenção e Reflexividade foram medidas com base nos seguintes testes, Trail Making Test e Teste de Atenção por Cancelamento,recolhidos em três momentos: Pré-Teste, Pós-Teste e Follow Up. Após se ter realizado o pré-teste, iniciou-se a aplicação do Programa PIAAR-R durante seis semanas. Após o seu término, realizou-se um pós teste (dois dias depois)e um Follow Up (com a diferença de um mês após o término do programa).Os resultados deste estudo, foram obtidos num contexto individual e de grupo, num ritmo de duas vezes por semana, tendo por vezes este ritmo sido alterado consoante as necessidades de cada sujeito. O período de avaliação decorreu entre 22 Novembro de 2016 e 24 Maio de 2017. Os níveis de Reflexividade e de Atenção no Pré-Teste nesta amostra são inferiores aos resultados de populações ditas normais. O programa educativo teve efeitos significativos no incremento da Reflexividade quer no Pós-Teste quer no Follow Up; quanto aos níveis de Atenção, apesar de se ter verificado um incremento, este não demonstrou ser significativo; demonstrando uma eficácia parcial do PIAAR-R, levando-nos a questionar possíveis adaptações para este tipo de população.
The present research has as main objective to study the influence of the educational intervention program PIAAR-R in the levels of attention and reflexivity in adults with Intellectual and Developmental Difficulty (IDD). The present study comprehends a quasi-experimental design. The sample consists of 20 adults who attended two Occupational Activity Centers (CAO) of the APPACDM in Lisbon, aged between 20 and 63 years of age, both sexes (65% male and 35% female). Attention and Reflexivity were measured based on the following tests,Trail Making Test and Cancellation Attention Test, collected in three moments: Pre-Test, Post-Test and Follow Up. After the pre-test, The PIAAR-R Program was applied for six weeks and two days after its completion, a post-test and a follow-up (with the difference of one month after the end of the program). The results of this study were obtained within individual and group context, at a rate of twice a week, and this rhythm had at times to be altered according to the needs of each subject. The evaluation period ran from November 22, 2016 to May 24, 2017. The levels of Reflexivity and Attention in the Pretest in this sample are lower than the results of normal populations. The educational program had significant effects on the increase of Reflexivity in both the Post-test and Follow Up; while levels of Attention despite increasing, were not significantly, suggesting a partial efficacy of PIAAR-R, leading us to question possible adaptations for this type of population.
