Šiame skyriuje taip pat aprašoma sistemos architektūra, peteikiama sistemos klasių diagrama ir aprašomi jos metodai bei funkcijos. Taip pat aprašomos veiklos diagramos. The thesis deals with web design problems, when designers create web templates. Second chapter deals with considering basic file formats such as JPG, PNG and GIF, their advantages and disadvantages. There are analysed problems of image file format selection, network bandwidth usage and dependance from the web site size also the review of commonly used web graphics software and image compression comparison. Third chapter deals with web graphics development and optimization system. There is use case model for describing functional requirements of a system. In the work is described the architecture of a system, detailed description of class diagram with used methods and functions description in detail. All classes are clearly explained by usage and interface. Also third chapter deals with activity diagrams represented as step-by-step workflows of major components in a system. Testing material of created web graphics development and optimization system is given too. Fourth chapter deals with user documentation. There are explained menu items, drawing tools, and their parameters, color selection tools, transparency, brightness, image compression settings and image viewing and converting tools.

This work deals with the creation of several interactive web applets for education of vector graphics. Described is the image signal, his discretization, vector and bitmap types of image record. Further they describe selected vector curves, their properties, algorithms for their construction and usage. The principles of rasterization of basic vector objects are explained. Using the Figma tool, graphical user interfaces for each applet are designed. These applets are implemented using HTML and Javascript. The implemented applets are placed on web pages that are used in computer graphics education.

Designarbetetkring varumärket strävade framförallt efter att kommunicera den idé, identitet och de värdensom under projektet tagits fram för varumärket, samtidigt som det ska ha bidragit med enestetiskt tilltalande grafisk design. Resultatet av denna rapporten blev ett genomarbetatvarumärke med tillhörande visuell identitet, profil och flera tillhörande artefakter, redo attimplementeras.

Deco Retro wascreated as a sub-brand to Kitsch Sweden AB whom needed a brand more fitting their currentand future line of products. Deco Retro was created to contribute with a stronger identity andadded value to the products which sells under the brand. The design work surrounding thebrand was first and foremost trying to communicate the idea, identity and value which hasbeen developed for the brand during this project. The design is also supposed to have addedaesthetically appealing grafic design. The result of this report is a worked through brandwith related visual identity, profil and numerous related artefacts, ready to get implemented.

The thesis deals with the use of cloud computing to solve computationally intensive task. Simulation methods are employed to analyze the operation of the proposed system before putting it into operation. Cloud computing makes the functionality of modern data centers accessible to small businesses, cloud allows scaling up and scaling down of resource usage on an as-needed basis; moreover, without high initial investments and long-term commitments. The paper examines in detail the ways to adapt the currently most popular cloud environment of Amazon's Elastic Compute Cloud to the specific requirements of custom applications and suggests ways to automate the process of creation and customization of instance images. The automation and management of running applications in cloud environment is demonstrated on the example of geographic data processing and map generation application. The simulation model for running applications in the cloud is built and exploited to verify the ability of the proposed solutions to succeed in a production deployment.

För att särskiljas från konkurrenter och vara förtroendeingivande är en konsekvent grafisk identitet av stor vikt. Därför syftar föreliggande undersökning till att modernisera den grafiska identiteten hos Falu Glastjänst för att denna ska förmedla hållbarhet, kvalité och service. Vidare är målet att leverera en webbsida där den grafiska identiteten tillämpas och en rekommenderad grafisk manual till Falu Glastjänst. Semi-strukturerade intervjuer genomfördes med Falu Glastjänst och en kund till företaget. Två webbaserade enkätundersökningar utfördes där den första syftade till att ta reda på målgruppens tillvägagångssätt vid behov av ett glasmästeri, medan den andra enkäten utfördes för att testa det framtagna materialet på potentiella kunder. Vidare genomfördes Card Sortings med fyra potentiella kunder och tre personer inom IT-branschen för att bygga en maximal hierarki och således en användarvänlig webbsida. Undersökningen resulterade i en logotyp och grafisk identitet som enligt Falu Glastjänst samt tidigare- och potentiella kunder förmedlar hållbarhet, kvalité och service. Från undersökningen har även en webbsida kunnat tas fram, där hierarkin är baserad på respondenternas och således målgruppens önskemål och vanor.
Graphical identity is important for a company to distinguish itself from the competition and to give it a reliable business image. The present study aims therefore to modernize the graphical identity of Falu Glastjänst in order to communicate sustainability, quality and service. A further goal is to develop a website in which the modernized graphical identity is applied as well as a recommended graphical manual for Falu Glastjänst. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with Falu Glastjänst and one of its customers. Two web-based surveys were carried out. The first survey aimed at studying the behavior of a target group in need of glazing service. The second survey was carried out to test the results of the first survey on a new group of potential customers. In order to build a user-friendly website with best hierarchy, Card Sortings was carried out with four potential customers and three IT professionals. Results of the study include a new logotype and graphic identity which communicate sustainability, quality and service. This has been confirmed by Falu Glastjänst as well as their former and potential customers. A further result of the study is a new website for Falu Glastjänst with a hierarchy based on participants of the study and thereby the target group’s wishes and habits.

Already in the late 1970´s it became clear that the traditional catalogs in libraries were not suited for children, neither their interests nor their way expressing themselves were accounted for. The goal of this thesis is to investigate if and how children’s OPACs (Open public access catalogs) interface design is at present adapted to the presumed audience of children. My method consists of literature studies and an investigation on the graphical interfaces in OPACs for children, according to the five criteria formulated by childrens library consultant Lena Lundgren and IT-consultant Kia Gumbel. The aims are to find out: a) what requirements for children’s OPAC interfaces and their usability are defined in literature and b) what the actual (real) features of the children’s OPAC interfaces are. What interests me, regarding the graphical interfaces, is the actual appearance seen by the children, and partly the interactivity supplied by the OPACs. Using the criteria of Lundgren and Gumbel, I analyse figures, the front page, key-words, the text and the quality appearing in the different OPACs. In conclusion, the graphical interfaces of the three OPACs for children are somewhat adapted for children according to the Lundgren/Gumbel criteria. By using for example more user-polls, individualized graphical interfaces and reference groups consisting of children, the graphical interface for OPACs can be modified, and hopefully optimised, to take full account of the varied abilities of children.

Este trabalho aplica a Teoria de Autômatos na proposição de uma nova alternativa para prover animações 2D na World Wide Web, verificando as contribuições alcançadas para as questões relacionadas ao espaço de armazenamento, reutilização e manutenção do conteúdo e suporte à recuperação de informação. Para este objetivo, é proposto o modelo AGA (Animação Gráfica baseada em Autômatos Finitos), o qual especifica a animação a partir de uma estrutura baseada em autômatos finitos com saída. Esse modelo é definido de tal forma que os mesmos autômatos utilizados na especificação, ao serem simulados, realizam o controle da animação durante a apresentação. O modelo AGA apresenta características que favorecem a redução do espaço de armazenamento da animação, provêem suporte à recuperação de informação, colaboram com a reutilização e manutenção do conteúdo das animações. Uma implementação multiplataforma foi desenvolvida para apresentar animações especificadas nesse modelo na Web. Essa implementação proporciona a elaboração de consultas ao conteúdo da animação, além dos recursos tradicionais de reprodução. A partir dessa implementação, o AGA foi submetido a um estudo de caso prático, onde os resultados obtidos são comparados com o produzidos pelo GIF (Graphic Interchange Format). Esse comparativo demonstra que o AGA possui várias vantagens em relação à estrutura adotada pelo GIF. O modelo AGA é estendido utilizando autômatos temporizados para prover restrições temporais às especificações e também ampliar as funcionalidades de interação com o observador da animação. Essa extensão, chamada de modelo AGA-S (Animação Gráfica baseada em Autômatos Temporizados Sincronizados), é definida a partir do autômato temporizado proposto por Alur e Dill. Para esse modelo, é definida uma operação formal para sincronização dos componentes da animação e adicionada uma estrutura baseada em autômatos finitos para controlar a interação do observador com a animação.

This master's thesis deals with Big data processing in distributed system Apache Spark using tools, which allow remotely entry and execution of Spark tasks through web inter- face. Author describes the environment of Spark in the first part, in the next he focuses on the Apache Livy project, which offers REST API to run Spark tasks. Contemporary solutions that allow interactive data analysis are presented. Author further describes his own application design for interactive entry and launch of Spark tasks using graph repre- sentation of them. Author further describes the web part of the application as well as the server part of the application. In next section author presents the implementation of both parts and, last but not least, the demonstration of the result achieved on a typical task. The created application provides an intuitive interface for comfortable working with the Apache Spark environment, creating custom components, and also a number of other options that are standard in today's web applications.

Il front-end è rappresentato da due pagine HTML ideate come SPA (Single Page Application), una per l’amministratore e l’altra per l’utente finale; esse sono responsabili delle chiamate asincrone verso i servizi, dell’aggiornamento automatico dell’interfaccia e dell’interazione con immagini tridimensionali.

Esse estudo trata da experiência dos usuários em interfaces web, e tem como objetivo identificar quais são os componentes mais influentes da experiência sobre a interação. A partir de uma categorização da experiência em aspectos estéticos, emocionais e hedônicos, desenvolveu-se um instrumento de pesquisa, aplicado a um grupo de usuários. Com os resultados obtidos é proposta uma discussão acerca da natureza do Design. Enquanto o design de experiências mostra-se como disciplina em consolidação, o Design em sentido amplo adquire implicações epistemológicas que o orientam ora para a arte, ora para engenharia. Os resultados da pesquisa mostram que o componente hedônico da eficiência ainda é tido como mais significativo pelos usuários.

This paper reports a study in how interaction design and graphic design is affected in the process of developing an mobile application to complement the use of an existing webbsite. The paper also ask how developers are affected in this process by the use of designpatterns. The purpous of the report was to see how designpatterns affects the development of mobile applications and how the interaction and graphic design differs between various company webbsites and their related application. A study was conducted by comparing three diffrent webbsites with three related applications to find material for our thesis. Interviews were conducted on three diffrent companys that work professionaly with creating mobile applications. The results show that interaction between an application and a webbsite differs much because of technical conditions such as screen size or limits as a result of rigid interface guidlines. Graphical elements are influenced by the publishers own guidlines for graphical user interface. The company’s own webbmanual is used as a template when developing the applications and keeping the identity intact. This applies to all the interviewed developers. The use of designpatterns occurs in most cases. The interviewed companys agree that design patterns should be applied to the process but some of the informants only apply them in interaction design and not in graphic design.

This work was motivated by my interest in combining issues concerning planning principles applied to graphic - visual products (printed) and, especially , the chart - virtual products (Internet). The main issue was to start by understanding the projective bases of these media , the world of virtual sites or web sites . Faced with so many projective factors ( eg . , Aesthetic, ergonomic, technological ) to be considered in a good graphic - virtual product , certainly , it appears that some methodological knowledge is needed to be set up so much information on a single type product service . For this it was necessary to use a qualitative research approach with in- Tuito to describe, understand and explain the phenomena involved in such design practice , in order to produce sufficient and necessary to the foundation of the work knowledge, which was directed by descriptive and exploratory research , supported mainly by the use of literature and the field study , which respectively aim to recog - lher information or prior knowledge about the problem and understand the prag - matic form the object of study from the viewpoint the observer . This research sought to show that even with so many books already released on " interface design for the web" , the apparent ease with which you can design a product to WWW allows few understand web design as one of the specialties of Design, whose practice project , however, is essentially founded on the teachings of industrial Design . In short , this work is intended for all those who need to create graphical interfaces for web and not having a more intimate relationship with the design , they are advertising , computer engineers , design students at the academy freshmen , self-taught , etc. . whose premise rests on knowing and understanding the conceptual basis of the design of interfaces for web , whose practice is primarily founded on the teachings of Industrial Design.
Este trabalho foi motivado pelos meus interesses em aliar quest?es relativas aos princ?pios de planejamento aplicados a produtos gr?fico-visuais (Impressos) e, principalmente, a produtos gr?fico-virtuais (Internet). A quest?o principal foi come?ar por compreender as bases projetuais desses suportes, o mundo dos s?tios virtuais ou web sites. Diante de tantos fatores projetuais (p. ex., est?ticos, ergon?micos, tecnol?gicos) a serem considerados em um bom produto gr?fico-virtual, certamente, deduz-se que algum conhecimento metodol?gico se faz necess?rio haver a fim de configurar tantas informa??es num ?nico tipo de produto de servi?o. Para tanto se fez necess?rio ? utiliza??o de uma abordagem qualitativa na pesquisa com o intuito de descrever, compreender e explicar os fen?menos envolvidos em tal pr?tica projetual, com o intuito de se produzir conhecimentos suficientes e necess?rios ao embasamento do trabalho, o qual foi direcionado pela pesquisa descritiva e explorat?ria, amparada sobretudo pela utiliza??o da pesquisa bibliogr?fica e pelo estudo de campo, que respectivamente visam recolher informa??es ou conhecimentos pr?vios sobre o problema e compreender de forma pragm?tica o objeto de estudo do ponto de vista do observador. Tal pesquisa buscou evidenciar que mesmo diante de tantos livros j? lan?ados sobre o tema ?design de interfaces para web?, a aparente facilidade com que se consegue projetar um produto para web permite que poucos compreendam web design como uma das especialidades do Design, cuja pr?tica do projeto, por?m, ? essencialmente fundada nos ensinamentos de Desenho industrial. Este trabalho versa sobre a avaliação da compressão de dados e da qualidade de imagens e animações usando-se complexidade de Kolmogorov, simulação de máquinas e distância de informação. Complexidade de Kolmogorov é uma teoria da informação e da aleatoriedade baseada na máquina de Turing. No trabalho é proposto um método para avaliar a compressão de dados de modelos de animação gráfica usando-se simulação de máquinas. Também definimos formalmente compressão de dados com perdas e propomos a aplicação da distância de informação como uma métrica de qualidade de imagem. O desenvolvimento de uma metodologia para avaliar a compressão de dados de modelos de animação gráfica para web é útil, a medida que as páginas na web estão sendo cada vez mais enriquecidas com animações, som e vídeo, e a economia de banda de canal tornase importante, pois os arquivos envolvidos são geralmente grandes. Boa parte do apelo e das vantagens da web em aplicações como, por exemplo, educação à distância ou publicidade, reside exatamente na existência de elementos multimídia, que apoiam a idéia que está sendo apresentada na página. Como estudo de caso, o método de comparação e avaliação de modelos de animação gráfica foi aplicado na comparação de dois modelos: GIF (Graphics Interchange Format) e AGA (Animação Gráfica baseada em Autômatos finitos), provando formalmente que AGA é melhor que GIF (“melhor” significa que AGA comprime mais as animações que GIF). Foi desenvolvida também uma definição formal de compressão de dados com perdas com o objetivo de estender a metodologia de avalição apresentada Distância de informação é proposta como uma nova métrica de qualidade de imagem, e tem como grande vantagem ser uma medida universal, ou seja, capaz de incorporar toda e qualquer medida computável concebível. A métrica proposta foi testada em uma série de experimentos e comparada com a distância euclidiana (medida tradicionalmente usada nestes casos). Os resultados dos testes são uma evidência prática que a distância proposta é efetiva neste novo contexto de aplicação, e que apresenta, em alguns casos, resultados superiores ao da distância euclidiana. Isto também é uma evidência que a distância de informação é uma métrica mais fina que a distância euclidiana. Também mostramos que há casos em que podemos aplicar a distância de informação, mas não podemos aplicar a distância euclidiana. A métrica proposta foi aplicada também na avaliação de animações gráficas baseadas em frames, onde apresentou resultados melhores que os obtidos com imagens puras. Este tipo de avaliação de animações é inédita na literatura, segundo revisão bibliográfica feita. Finalmente, neste trabalho é apresentado um refinamento à medida proposta que apresentou resultados melhores que a aplicação simples e direta da distância de informação.

Vårt arbete har gått ut på att skapa två separata webbplatser. Vi har varit delaktiga i hela processerna från idéstadie till färdiga produkter. Webbplatserna vi tagit fram är Jag är fri - en kampanjhemsida åt RFSL, samt Laszlo & Tear - en presentationshemsida åt en musikduo. De två webbplatserna skiljer sig åt då vi klassar Jag är fri som samhällsnytta medan vi klassar Laszlo & Tear som underhållning. Vi såg dock en gemensam nämnare - att de skulle verka marknadsförande och att webbplatsbesökaren enkelt och tydligt skulle uppfatta syftet. Vi ville därför med vår studie undersöka hur man genom informationsarkitektur och grafisk form på ett tydligt och enkelt sätt når ut med rätt budskap och känsla. Studien resulterade i en guide som bidrar med kunskap för att utveckla enklare och mer användarvänliga webbplatser.
Our mission was to create two different web sites. We have been involved in the entire process from idéa to finished product. We have developed web sites for RFSL’s campaign called Jag är fri (eng. I am free) and the music duo Laszlo & Tear. The web sites differ from each other – Jag är fri has a social benefit and Laszlo & Tear is classified as entertainment. We saw, however, a common denominator – both sites should operate in promotional porposes and the recipient should clearly understand the purpose. We wanted to examine the best way to reach out with the right message through information architecture and graphical interface. This paper resulted in a guide that contributes knowledge of how to develop simpler more user friendly web sites.

The automation of buildings mainly in the large and office buildings is very discussed issue in nowadays time. The advantages of automated buildings fundamentally consist in the lowering of the operation costs, more safety and the protection of property. The building can be monitored and controlled towards the proceeding processes and states. It is able to use local or remote monitoring and controlling. More comfortable controlling is next important factor. This thesis describes European installation bus EIB and its communication with visualization a control system called Control Web. Control Web communicates with the electronic security system Galaxy for complete monitoring of the whole building. The complex system ensues by the mutual link of these technologies. It is possible to lower effectively the total costs for the business among other things. The result of this project is the developed application in the system Control Web 6, which is used in the building of the company ATX, ltd. in Žďár nad Sázavou. The Visualization is targeted in the two dimensional view and 3D view, which is used very often today. Web representation is used as well because web browser is part of the every operating system. The integral part of visualization is process automatic control.

Internet and websites are today one of the most important communication channels of almost all companies. They offer a simple, fast and effective way of communication, which is also available worldwide in a few seconds. With the globalization of market, more and more companies try to expand their business beyond the territory of the home state. In the current time of start-ups is the Internet also often a medium that allows formation of new spheres of business for which the website is absolutely essential channel. This type of business is internet based and has very often international ambitions from the very beginning. Given that each country (or region) can be seen as distinctive culture, it is advisable to locate websites for the needs of the foreign country. This is exactly the theme of this thesis. The concrete objective of this thesis is to offer a methodology for website localization in terms of webdesign. The basic building block is the delimitation of a multidisciplinary theoretical framework that examines the concept of culture and extensive literature review allowing current insight into the linking of website and culture, i.e. cultural website localization. Suitable method for gripping such a complex concept as a culture emerge from a theoretical framework as well. As the most appropriate method were determined Hofstedes cultural dimensions, which are then used for the analysis of cultural determination of web elements. Data collection for the purpose of analysis of web elements cultural determination is performed using a content analysis of websites from nine different countries. The results of the analysis are compared and synthesized with the findings stemming from a literature review. The final artifact of this thesis, a methodology for website localization from the perspective of web design, is based on this ground. Validation of the proposed methodology is done on the basis of assessment of the methodology for a domain of web design. This assessment is based on interviews with experts from different countries as well as presentation of concrete example of methodology use within a midsize website.

The purpose of this thesis is to highlight the importance of graphic design and its visual effects in day-to-day life, notice new methods, justify relevant investments to advertisement as well as mention continuously rising demands made on professional graphic designers. The theoretical part of the thesis is based on the research article, which subject is the extent of consumers' product understanding of products being sold online. The research concludes that it is possible to choose the appropriate presentation format according to task complexity (product features) in terms of graphical and multimedia means of online presentation, such as static pictures with text captions, videos with or without narration and Virtual Product Experiences (VPE ). This is followed by the definitions of communication process and relevant standards related to web design, concluding with the description and interpretation of the most interesting and useful theoretical foundations. The main body is about implementing the theoretical findings in the real world business case including advertising campaign in a project having the purpose to give a real economic/business value. All the project phases are described from finding the business partner to the launch of brand new web service and its propagation. The new web page and other propagation materials were made in order to attract selected companies.

The topic of this thesis is to analyze the websites of selected faculties in the Czech Republic. When using graphical user interfaces (GUIs), the main problems that frustrates users are long response times and delays. These problems create a bad impression of the GUI, as well as of the company that created it.When providing a GUI to users it is important to provide intuition, ease of use and simplicity while still delivering good performance. However, some factors that play a major role regarding the performance aspect is outside the developers’ hands, namely the client’s internet connection and hardware. Since every client has a different combination of internet connection and hardware, it can be a hassle to satisfy everyone while still providing an intuitive and responsive GUI.The aim of this study is to find a way to monitor performance of a web GUI, where performance comprises response times and render times, and in doing so, enable the improvement of response times and render times by collecting data that can be analyzed.A framework that monitors the performance of a web GUI was developed as a proof of concept. The framework collects relevant data regarding performance of the web GUI and stores the data in a database. The stored data can then be manually analyzed by developers to find weak points in the system regarding performance. This is achieved without interfering with the GUI or impacting the user experience negatively.
När man använder grafiska gränssnitt upplevs lång responstid och fördröjning som de främsta problemen. Dessa problem är frustrerande och ger användare en negativ syn på både det grafiska gränssnittet och företaget som skapat det.Det är viktigt att grafiska gränssnitt är intuitiva, lättanvända och lättfattliga samtidigt som de levererar hög prestanda. Det finns faktorer som påverkar dessa egenskaper som är utanför programmerarnas händer, t.ex. användarens internetuppkoppling och hårdvara. Eftersom varje användare har olika kombinationer av internetuppkoppling och hårdvara är det svårt att tillfredsställa alla och samtidigt tillhandahålla ett intuitivt och responsivt gränssnitt.Målet med denna studie är att hitta ett sätt att övervaka prestandan av ett grafiskt gränssnitt där begreppet prestanda omfattar responsiviteten och hastigheten av den grafiska renderingen, och genom detta möjliggöra förbättring av responstider och renderingstider.Ett ramverk som övervakar prestandan av ett grafiskt gränssnitt utvecklades. Ramverket samlar in relevant prestandamässig data om det grafiska gränssnittet och sparar datan i en databas. Datan som sparats kan sedan bli manuellt analyserad av utvecklare för att hitta svagheter i systemets prestanda. Detta uppnås utan att störa det grafiska gränssnittet och utan att ha någon negativ påverkan på användarupplevelsen.

Målet med detta examensarbete var att skapa en grafisk profil till företaget Lyst Form AB som bedriver större delen av sin affärsverksamhet via en hemsida. Företaget säljer handgjorda kläder och accessoarer i lintyg. En teoretisk del i arbetet tar upp hur varumärket kan kommuniceras genom hemsidan. Den grafiska profilen utformades utifrån företagets identitet. Det är viktigt att företaget speglas på ett korrekt sätt. Ett företags identitet kan beskrivas som organisationens själ och den visas utåt i form av bland annat den grafiska profilen. Denna ses därför som en viktig identitetsbärare och den kan kallas för den visuella identiteten. En grafisk profil innehåller bland annat logotyp, profilfärger samt typografi. Företagets målgrupp ansågs vara en viktig del i hela processen eftersom de i slutändan ska tilltalas av den grafiska profilen. Först gjordes en grundlig undersökning och research av företaget för att få en god uppfattning av dess identitet. Även konkurrenterna granskades. En enkätundersökning gjordes för att kunna samla information utifrån målgruppens perspektiv. Denna informationsinsamling gav ett bra underlag och en riktlinje i framtagningen av den grafiska profilen.   Under designprocessens gång diskuterades de logotypförslag som togs fram med hjälp av en sammansatt fokusgrupp. Diskussionen var givande och var till stor nytta i designprocessen. Baserat på den grafiska profilen skapades en layout för hemsidan samt exempel på trycksaker för att visa hur den kan användas. En enklare grafisk manual skapades för att företaget ska kunna synas utåt på ett enhetligt sätt. En sista enkätundersökning gjordes för att se om målet uppnåtts. Resultatet visade att den nya framtagna grafiska profilen var en klar förbättring jämfört mot den nuvarande sett utifrån företagets identitet. I slutändan valde dock företaget en annan logotyp. Detta påvisar svårigheterna i processen att ta fram en grafisk profil. Alla delar i processen är viktiga och undersökningarna är bland annat en av de väsentliga delarna vilka bidrar med en större chans till ett bra slutresultat som tar hänsyn till både företagets och målgruppens åsikter.
The purpose of this thesis was to create a graphic profile for the company Lyst Form AB. The company conducts an e-commerce and is selling handcrafted clothes made in natural material.   A theoretic part in the thesis studies how a brand can communicate on the internet. It’s important that the corporate identity is reflected through the graphic profile. The corporate identity can be explained as the soul of the company and can be seen through all of the graphic material. The graphic profile is a kind of visual identity and it’s containing a logotype, typography and colors for example. Several studies were made to reach the aim with the thesis. The target group of the company was important throughout the whole process. A research began with the company and their competitors. A survey was made by the target group to get their opinion about the company and its design. This information gathering gave a good foundation and a guideline in the development of the graphic profile. During the design process the proposed logos was discussed using a focus group. The discussion was useful in the process. A last survey was made to see if the goal was achieved. The results showed that the newly developed graphic profile was a clear improvement compared to the current from the perspective of corporate identity. The goal of the thesis was achieved.

Este estudo evidencia que, na atual cultura da moda, os produtos comercializados pelas marcas de vestuário, entre outras marcas de moda, não compõem o foco principal da comunicação dessas marcas. Pois, os produtos servem de elementos de troca no processo de compra e venda e seu maior valor é também servirem de suportes físicos para as projeções do conteúdo imaginário, que é divulgado pelas marcas. O objeto mais específico deste estudo foi composto por imagens digitais da campanha publicitária da coleção Primavera/Verão 2012/2013 das empresas Lança Perfume e Morena Rosa. Essas imagens foram divulgadas nos websites oficiais dessas marcas de moda. O estudo das imagens evidencia que os produtos de comunicação decorrentes dos projetos e das atividades da área de Design Gráfico são responsáveis pela informação gráfico-visual, que compõe e expressa o conteúdo imaginário. Há também um evidente apelo mitológico na composição das imagens das duas marcas estudadas, assinalando que o processo de ?mitificação? é um indicativo de tendência na cultura da moda. Entretanto, cada uma das marcas estudadas apresentou influências mitológicas diferenciadas, que assinalaram diferentes posicionamentos de marca. Assim, além de seguirem um indicativo de tendência, as marcas de moda estudadas demarcaram para si um posicionamento próprio e distintivo. Por fim, este estudo demonstra a estreita relação entre os processos de gestão de design, de comunicação e de gestão da marca ou branding, uma vez que os produtos de design gráfico foram aqui descritos e interpretados como suportes informativos da comunicação das marcas de moda.

I mitt examensarbete har jag valt att fokusera på att skapa en visuell identitet till mina föräldrarshantverksföretag och att etablera dem online. De har aldrig haft en grafisk identitet av någotslag, trots att de varit i branschen över 30 år. Den enda visuella identitet som existerat ärderas produkter, tomtarna, som fått tala för sig själva. Jag har därmed valt att bygga vidare påjust denna grund för att bibehålla deras varumärkesidentitet och genuinitet. Under arbetet harjag utvecklat en logotyp, en hemsida, skapat en närvaro på sociala medier på Facebook ochInstagram, designat ett utskick för mer åtråvärda kunder, samt gjort en kortfilm för att presenteradem och deras yrke. Som grund för arbetet har jag utgått från intervjuer, workshopsoch deltagande design i samarbete med mina föräldrar, för att få en känsla för vad just de villförmedla för framtida kunder. Företaget har även genomgått ett namnbyte för att bättre speglaverksamheten.
This is a study of a small craftwork establishment, and the balance between creating a graphicidentity and maintaining the essence and voice that has been developed through the company’s30 year history. Through close collaboration with the clients we have pinpointed thebrand personality and how they want their visual identity to be represented towards potentialfuture clients. To establish this I have used the methods of participatory design through interviews,workshop and business model canvas. For the end result I have developed a graphicidentity that contains a website, logotype, social media presence on Facebook and Instagram,and designed a sendout that will be targeted towards their more desirable clients. I have alsoproduced a short film to present both of them as creators and th eir products and will be thelarger piece of the storytelling aspect of my work. The company has also undergone a namechange to better reflect the business.

The thesis deals with the creation of a three-dimensional virtual view with the use of the new WebGL standard in combination with O3D javascript framework. The result is freely available web application which generates a virtual tour of sent series of photographs. Afterwards, the photographs are processed by the server, which on the basis of found corresponding points creates 3D scene. The application is based on a freeware application Bundler [40] which is used for identifying 3D points in uploaded photographs and related cameras (the places from which the photographs were taken). Bundler outputs are processed by Jetty web server with the use of Java script. At this point, all data required for the creation of a view are gathered. The display of the final result is then realized via HTML5, CSS, WebGL and Javascript using O3D.

Tikslas: ištirti žiniatinklių vartotojo sąsajos naudojimosi patogumą. Tyrimo objektas: žiniatinklių grafinės vartotojo sąsajos. Problema: šiandien internetinės svetainės yra labai populiarios, jas kuria visi. Dažniausiai kūrėjai neatsižvelgia į grafinės vartotojo sąsajos kūrimo reikalavimus, ir pateiktos internetinės svetainės būna perkrautos, netvarkingos. Todėl šiuo tyrimu siekiama atskleisti žiniatinklių vartotojo sąsajos problemas ir pateikti rekomendacijų internetinių svetainių kūrėjams. Tyrimo metodologija: žiniatinklių tyrimui buvo išskirti trys pagrindiniai kriterijai: atliktų žingsnių skaičius, atvertų puslapių skaičius, sugaištas laikas. O klaidų palyginimui buvo stebima judėjimo trajektorija. Naudotos priemonės: Selenium-ide-1.0.6 – fiksuoja visus atliekamus veiksmus, taip pat atkuria tą pačią veiksmų seką. Mozilla Firefox 3.0.15 – žiniatinklio naršyklė. Microsoft Office Excel 2003 – tyrime gautų duomenų suvedimui, lentelių ir grafikų sudarymui. Microsoft Office Word 2003 – ataskaitos paruošimui. Tyrimo apimtis: žiniatinklių vartotojo sąsajų tyrimui buvo parinktos 5 žiniatinklių grupės (kurios buvo panašios savo turiniu). Viso buvo tiriama 18 internetinių svetainių. Sugalvotos 5 užduotys. Tyrimo rezultatų apdorojimo ir pateikimo metodai: gauti tyrimo duomenys buvo susisteminti ir pateikiami stulpelinėse diagramose su detaliais aprašymais. Diagramos: užduotyje atliktų žingsnių skaičius, užduotyje atvertų puslapių skaičius, užduoties įvykdymo laikas, užduoties... [toliau žr. visą tekstą]
The goal of the final bachelor work – to research the convenience of the Web interface usage. The topicality of the subject, problems, goals and objectives are preceded. The interface usage, design technologies and requirements are analysed in the final work. The conception, classification and the system analysis are approved. The graphic usage interface, design, requirements, characteristic and technologies are enlarged. The research of web interface usage, environment, respondents, technologies, criterions, the results are approved in the work. Three main criterions were distinguished to fulfil the research: the number of performed steps, the number of opened pages, the delayed time. The criterions are necessary to compare webs . The trajectory of move is observed in order to accent the errors. Research results were systematised and presented in bar charts with detailed descriptions (comparison, error accent). The result of the research: not every Internet site is oriented towards the user. Oftentimes they are busy, non-qualitative, it is hard to find necessary information for users.

Denna studie undersöker hur privata vårdföretags webbplatser bör utformas för att förmedla en hög trovärdighet mot användare och potentiella kunder. Antalet privata vårdföretag blir allt fler och det blir allt viktigare att synas och framförallt att synas på rätt sätt. Därför väljer många privata vårdföretag att marknadsföra sig med hjälp av en företagswebbplats för att framhålla sig själva och sina produkter och tjänster.

Utifrån en stegvis modell för att utvärdera trovärdighet har ett antal faktorer identifierats som ligger till grund för hur användare uppfattar trovärdighet i sammanhanget. Genom att studera hur personer från målgruppen upplever trovärdighet på ett antal utvalda webbplatser har en djupare förståelse för de framkomna resultaten uppstått. Resultaten visar på att det bör läggas stor vikt på fokusering av målgrupp, bilder och bildspråk, den grafiska utformningen och informationsstrukturen vid utveckling av webbplatser för privata vårdföretag. Genom att tillämpa de faktorer som studien har resulterat i, på ett privat vårdföretags webbplats, finns det större chans till att användare från målgruppen kommer att uppleva en hög trovärdighet i samband med interaktion.


This study examines how a private healthcare company's website should be designed to convey a high level of credibility to users and potential customers. The number of private healthcare companies is increasing and it is important to be visible and above all to be seen properly. Many private healthcare companies promote themselves through a company website to highlight themselves and their products and services.

Based on a progressive model to evaluate the credibility have a number of factors been identified as the basis for how users perceive trust in the context. By studying how people from the target audience perceive credibility on selected sites, have a deeper understanding of the present upon the results emerged. The results show that there should be emphasis on the focus of the audience, images and imagery, graphic design and information architecture for the development of websites for private healthcare companies. By applying the factors identified in this study to the website of a private healthcare company, there is a greater chance that users from the target group will experience a high level of credibility in the context of interaction.

Svenska internetanvändare använder internet idag för att söka information om tidtabeller, nyheter eller vilken restaurang de vill besöka. För att minska konkurrensen på internet är det viktigt att de snabbt hittar den information de söker på webbplatserna. För ett företag kan en webbplats användas för att bygga ett professionellt varumärke. Syftet med examensarbetet var att undersöka vad som gav restaurangkänsla på restaurangwebbplatser. Undersökningen gjordes genom en visuell innehållsanalys för att kartlägga innehållet på webbplatserna. Därefter skapades en webbenkät där respondenterna fick avgöra vad som skapade restaurangkänsla för dem. Analysen visade att restaurangwebbplatserna använde sig av få färger och bilder där bilderna fick ta stor plats på webbplatserna. Detta för att låta bilderna tala och besökaren kan fokusera på budskapet som restaurangen vill förmedla. Respondenterna från webbenkäten ansåg dock att storleken på bilderna inte var avgörande utan det var de bilder som hade koppling till mat och restaurangmiljö som avgjorde restaurangkänsla.
Swedish internet users use Internet today to search information for time tables news and which restaurant they want to visit. In order to reduce competition on the Internet it is important that they quickly find the information they search on the websites. For a company, a website can be used to build a professional brand. The purpose of the thesis was to investigate what gave restaurant feel to restaurant websites. The survey was conducted through a visual content analysis to map the content of the websites. Thereafter, a web survey was created where the respondents were allowed to decide what they considered created restaurant vibes for them. Analysis showed that the restaurant web sites used few colors and images where the images took a big place on the sites. This to let the pictures speak and the visitor can focus on the message that the restaurant wants to convey. The respondents from the web site thought that the size of the images was not critical, but it was the pictures that had links to food and restaurant environments that determined a restaurant feeling.

A partir da disseminação das Tecnologias de Informação e Comunicação (TIC´s), a sociedade gradativamente tornou-se audiovisual - a imagem e o som tornaram-se parte de um módulo de comunicação do qual estamos cada vez mais adeptos: a Interface Humano-Computador (IHC). Reconhecendo a IHC como um elemento integrador de mídias e metáforas visuais, sonoras e táteis, e partindo da premissa que a integração de distintas mídias pode melhorar e aumentar a capacidade de interação, o presente estudo buscará demonstrar investigações que contextualizem o som quando do seu uso em hipermídias. Objetivando expor diretrizes e procedimentos que visem uma eficiente aplicação dos elementos sonoros nas interfaces, e dada à necessidade de iniciar-se o desenvolvimento de um entendimento formal dos princípios que constituem a aplicação do áudio em hipermídias, a presente dissertação propõe um GUIA DE APLICAÇÃO DO ÁUDIO DINÂMICO. A partir da metodologia proposta por Jesse James Garret (2011), elaborou-se o GUIA DE APLICAÇÃO DO ÁUDIO DINÂMICO, que pretende sistematizar e simplificar o processo de criação, produção e implementação de elementos sonoros em hipermídias. From the spread of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs), the society gradually became audiovisual - the picture and sound have become part of a communication module which we are becoming more adept: the Human-Computer Interface (HCI). Recognizing the HCI as an integrating element of media and visual, sound and tactile metaphors, and starting upon the premise that the integration of different media can enhance and increase the capacity of interaction, this study will demonstrate investigations that contextualize the sound when used into hypermedia interfaces. Aiming to expose guidelines and procedures that lead to an efficient implementation of sound elements into interfaces, and given the need to start developing a formal understanding of the principles that form the audio application in hypermedia, this thesis propose an APPLICATION GUIDE OF DYNAMIC AUDIO. From the proposed methodology by Jesse James Garrett (2011), the APPLICATION GUIDE OF DYNAMIC AUDIO was created, which aims to systematize and simplify the process of creation, production and implementation of sound elements into hypermedia interfaces. Through the developing and diffusion of the guide, this work is intended to highlight the important role played by sound in the processes of immersion and interaction.

Esta pesquisa pretende avaliar a interface de um dos maiores portais brasileiros de notícias, o Terra. Considerou-se, para tal estudo, a sua proposta de navegação sem divisão por editorias e a personalização de conteúdo. Em 2014, a companhia de comunicação lançou o que chamou, à época, de "Novo Terra", no qual investiu na transformação do design gráfico, na disponibilização de notícias baseadas no perfil de leitor e na expansão de negócios digitais. Os estudos de interface indicam a importância do design na construção de websites, melhorando a experiência do usuário. Logo, propõe-se um estudo de caso fundamentado por categorias do webjornalismo e por princípios heurísticos do design. A dissertação é composta pela apresentação das mudanças do Terra (referenciando-as com outros portais e webjornais e contextualizando-as com o momento em que vive o jornalismo), entrevista semi-estruturada com responsável pela pesquisa e desenvolvimento da interface e aplicação de teste de usabilidade com dois grupos: usuários e especialistas. A avaliação mede a satisfação dos participantes e aponta problemas e potencialidades do portal Terra.

Abstract : This research aims to study the interface of one of brazillian s largest news portal: Terra. For that matter, the study considers the website s proposal of navigating without editorial division and content personalization. In 2014, the referred company launched the so called Novo Terra , investing in graphic design innovation, availability of subjects accordingly to the reader s profile and expansion of digital business. The interface researches point to the important role of design for enhancing the reader s experience on a new website. Therefore, the proposition is to start a case study based on web journalism categories and heuristic design principles. The thesis consists of three phases: presenting the changes adopted on Terra (crossing those informations with other portals and online news sites, as well as putting them into context with the present moment experienced by journalism), a semi-structured interview with the person in charge of developing the new interface and the application of an usability test among specialists and users. The evaluation highlights the participant s satisfaction, but mainly serious problems that block or impair navigation on Terra. Finally, solutions to these problems are presented.

Web applications are becoming increasingly sophisticated and functionality that was once exclusive to regular desktop applications can now be found in web applications as well. One of the more recent advances in this field is the ability for web applications to render 3D graphics. Coupled with the growing number of devices with graphics processors and the ability of web applications to run on many different platforms using a single code base, this represents an exciting new possibility for developers of 3D graphics applications. This thesis aims to explore and evaluate the technologies for 3D graphics that can be used in web applications, with the final goal of using one of them in a prototype application. This prototype will serve as a foundation for an application to be included in a commercial product. The evaluation is performed using general criteria so as to be useful for other applications as well, with one part presenting the available technologies and another part evaluating the three most promising technologies more in-depth using test programs. The results show that, although some technologies are not production-ready, there are a few which can be used in commercial software, including the three chosen for further evaluation; WebGL, the Java library JOGL and Stage 3D for Flash. Among these, there is no clear winner and it is up to the application requirements to decide which to use. The thesis demonstrates an application built with WebGL and shows that fairly demanding 3D graphics web applications can be built. Also included are the lessons learned during the development and thoughts on the future of 3D graphics in web applications.

Internet and social media have opened up new possibilities for companies and organisations tocommunicate their brand. It only takes a few seconds to communicate the message of a website to theuser. This indicates the importance of having the intended message of the website communicated clearlyin order to give the user a correct impression of the company or the organisation. When it comes to theconcept design of a website, it’s important that all different parts is presented uniformly. This reportdescribes the process and the end product of a concept design for a food event. The concept designincludes interaction design, a graphic identity and digital strategies in a website that all togheter creates astartingpoint for the branding of the event. In the creation of the logotyp which is as part of the graphicidentity it was important to anticipate the needs of the users and the other stakeholders. An interviewstudy was conducted with a focus group of the purpose to investigate users' feelings and reactions basedon the first impressions of three different logo proposals. The investigation was fruitful and increased ourunderstanding about what the participants thought about the different logotypes and colour combinations.Along with a few corrections we reach a brand identity that could be effective in communicating themessage of the event. During the design process, we had regular weekly meetings with the client who alsoapproved the final logo, graphic identity as well as the digital strategies and functions of the website. Theresult shows that a careful preparatory phase is a necessity to establish the client's goals and vision as wellas our own early in the process. This helped us to keep the design work on a steady path through thewhole process as well as creating a unified concept design for the event.

Denna rapport redogör för det examensarbete som genomförts på uppdrag av designbyrån Spektra Design. Arbetet gick ut på att skapa en hemsida till den latinamerikanska filmfestivalen Panoramica, som anordnas för första gången i Stockholm i september 2015. Jag har skapat designen till hemsidan samt utvecklat sidan från grunden i Wordpress. Panoramica har en vision om att bilda ett underlag för ett distributions- och marknadsföringsnätverk som sprider latinamerikansk film i Sverige. De vill att festivalen ska bli ett ansikte utåt för latinamerikansk film i Sverige och arbetar för att ”stimulera utbyte och dialog mellan olika etniska grupper i Sverige genom att uppdatera utbudet av berättelser från Latinamerika.” En stor del av en webbsida är dess design. Designen bidrar till det övergripande intrycket av hemsidan, men också om den uppfattas som lättförståelig eller komplicerad. Denna uppsats undersöker hur man kan tillämpa normkritisk teori i en praktisk designprocess. Jag har även undersökt principer kring användarvänlighet och Användarupplevelse. Resultatet av arbetet är en färdig hemsida där fokus ligger på festivalens fokus: film. Det är enkelt att läsa om varje film, se trailers och skapa sitt eget program. Färgerna och typografin är kraftig och karaktäristisk och tillåts ta plats, i ett försök att bryta mot den västerländska minimalistiska formgivningstrenden och lyfta det latinamerikanska. Under arbetet har jag kommit fram till att det inte är ett måste att bryta normer eller konventioner för hur en sida bör se ut. Det viktiga är att ha med sig frågor om vem som får synas, vad som är normen i ett sammanhang och vem designen är till för. Det är viktiga frågor att ha med sig i en designprocess även om de är svårbesvarade.
This report describes the work commissioned by design bureau Spektra Design. The task was to create a website for the Latin American Film Festival Panoramica, organized for the first time in Stockholm in September 2015. I have created the design for the website and developed the site from scratch in Wordpress. Panoramica has a vision to form a basis for a distribution and marketing network spreading Latin American film in Sweden. They want the festival to become a public face for Latin American film in Sweden and works to "promote exchanges and dialogue between different ethnic groups in Sweden by updating the range of stories from Latin America." A large portion of the website is its design. The design contributes to the overall impression of the site, but also if it is perceived as easy to understand or complicated. This paper examines how one can apply critical theory in a practical design process. The outcome of the work is a complete website where the focus is on film. It's easy to read about each movie, watch trailers, and create your own program. The colors and the typography is strong and distinctive and is allowed to take place, in an effort to break the Western minimalist design trend and highlight the Latin American aspects of the design. During the work I have come to the conclusion that breaking norms or conventions of how a web page should look like is not necessarily a must. The key is to keep asking yourself: Who is represented, who is the norm and who is the design for? These are important issues to bring into a design process even if they are difficult to answer.

The thesis deals with the analysis and development of responsive interface of online stores' websites. The work is divided into several chapters, which can be divided generally into two main parts, theoretical and practical. In the first theoretical part there are different perspectives and analyzes, that need to be defined for web development and possibilities of progression of the web sites along with testing the correctness of individual steps and procedures, explained. The practical part consists in the implementation of the proposals and creating designs typical for company based on informations gathered from the analysis of the accessibility and usabiity of original pages and pages of competition. Part of crafting proposals and graphics is user testing, processing comments and found bugs. Thanks to these aquired knowledge there is in the final part designed and implemented new look along with a basis for possible further development and expansion opportunities in the future.

This thesis deals with implementation of software support of alarm system design for security levels 1 and 2 based on web technologies. It was created intuitive and interactive graphical interface that allows to create high-quality alarm system design even for laymen. First of all the paper deals with standards and jurisdictions in the Czech Republic, according to which the alarm system design must be followed. In theoretical part there are described in detail characteristics of alarm systems and its components, proper functioning principles, installation principle, advantages and disadvantages of use, individual steps of alarm system design and proposed methodology of alarm system design for security level 1 and 2. In practical part there are described the technologies used for the implementation of this paper, structure of created webpage and detailed steps of alarm system design, as seen by user during creating. The result of this paper is a webpage, which is divided into two parts: theoretical and practical. The theoretical part provides information about the alarm system architecture, alarm system design and established methodology for the alarm system design for security level 1 and 2. In the practical part the user, on the basis of gained information and interactive help, can create high-quality alarm system design that meets all the conditions for reliable function in real traffic.

Villa Adriana presenta un ampio spettro di possibili casi studio finalizzati ad approfondire il tema della documentazione e della catalogazione dei Beni Culturali. La diffusione della rete Internet ha oggi determinato la necessità di gestire le informazioni in forma distribuita. Nel settore dei B.C., per anni le informazioni relative agli stessi venivano riassunte in schede, “beni schedati” per l’appunto, in modo da facilitarne la consultabilità e l’organizzazione manuale. Nel primo periodo della informatizzazione il processo è stato perfettamente uguale: schede, unità di misura e campi rimasero gli stessi, ma digitalizzati. È chiaro che oggi un sistema del genere appare poco appropriato rispetto alle proprietà dei sistemi digitali, per consentirne lo studio e/o la fruizione. Quindi è nata l’esigenza di migliorare la gestione dei dati raccolti e aggiornare la scheda tenendo conto dell’esperienza sia di coloro che lavorano nel campo della catalogazione dei beni culturali sia di coloro che operano nelle Soprintendenze e nelle Università. Tutto ciò ha spinto il Ministero per i Beni e le Attività Culturali a pensare una soluzione al fine di creare un processo evolutivo dei cittadini. L’“innovazione tecnologica”, oltre ad essere un’implementazione di una nuova regola organizzativa, miglio9ra il supporto alla salvaguardia dei beni artistici e archeologici, mettendo a disposizione dei tecnici delle soprintendenze e delle forze dell’ordine strumenti che semplificano l’attività nella tutela del patrimonio culturale. È innegabile il fatto che oggi i nuovi “media” siano il fulcro di un “movimento” verso i modelli rinnovati di comunicazione della conoscenza che offrono le forme più rapide e immediate dell’offerta culturale. Il sistema informativo permette di incrociare le informazioni di carattere tecnico con i dati relativi alla conoscenza del bene e alla sua storia, mettendoli in relazione alla specifica area a cui si riferiscono.

Denna rapport redogör för det praktiska examensarbete som har inneburit en redesign av Birnas Trafikskolas webbplats. Webbplatsen var i behov av en ny design, struktur och innehåll. I detta arbete har designprocessen utförts utifrån ett användarcentrerat perspektiv baserat på design thinking. Arbetsprocessen har bestått av research kring användarna, prototyparbete, framtagande av en grafisk profil och genomförande av användartester. Utvecklingen av den nya webbplatsen har skett via CMS-verktyget Joomla samt med användning av HTML och CSS-kod. Resultatet av detta examensarbete presenteras i form av en webbplats med ny grafisk design och innehåll.
This report describes the practical thesis that entailed the redesign of Birnas driving school’s website. The website was in need of a new design, structure and content. In this work, the design process was carried out with a user-centered approach based on design thinking. The work process has consisted of user research, prototyping, the developement of a graphic profile, and user testing. The developement of the new site has been made through the content management system Joomla and the use of HTML and CSS code. The result of this thesis is presented in the form of a website with new graphic design and content.

Syfte – Syftet med studien var att ge arbetssökande inom branschen för grafisk formgivning och webbutveckling en uppfattning om hur en webbaserad portfolio bör utformas för att uppfylla branschens förväntningar. Metod – Studien har använt sig av två huvudsakliga metoder. En kvantitativ undersökning i form av en enkätundersökning med arbetssökande och en kvalitativ undersökning med potentiella arbetsgivare i branschen. Resultat – Den insamlade empirin och litteraturen visar på att en portfolio är otroligt viktig vid jobbsökning inom branschen för grafiska formgivare och webbutvecklare. I resultatet framkom det även viktiga faktorer som arbetssökande bör tänka på när de utformar sin webbaserade portfolio. Dessa faktorer finns sammanställda i riktlinjer som en bilaga i rapportens slut. Implikationer – Studien baseras på empiri insamlad från författarnas närområde, Jönköping. Detta har på så sätt skapat ett specifikt urval baserat på en geografisk position. I studien skulle sex besöksintervjuer genomföras. Dock var det en intervju som genomfördes via mail, vilket kan ha påverkat svaren. Begränsningar – Den största begränsningen i studien var tidsramen som arbetet genomfördes under. Med tanke på de sex intervjuer och den omfattande enkätundersökningen som genomfördes så tog det lång tid att analysera och sammanställa insamlad data. Studien begränsades till endast webbaserade portföljer. Under intervjuerna kom det fram detaljer som hade gjort det intressant att kika på helheten kring att söka jobb med portfolio. I studien låg dock fokus främst på utformningen av portfolion.
Purpose – The purpose of the study was to provide job seekers in the trade of graphic design and web development an idea of how a web-based portfolio should be designed to meet the expectations of potential employers of the industry. Method – The study used two main methods. The first method was a quantitative survey with job seekers currently studying. The second method was a qualitative survey with potential employers of the industry. Findings – Results of the collected empirical data and literature shows that a portfolio is incredibly important in the process of applying for a job in the industry for graphic designers and web developers. The result showed lots of important factors that jobseekers should consider when designing a web-based portfolio. These factors are summarized as an annex of guidelines in the report's final. Implications – The study is based on empirical data gathered from the authors surrounding district, Jonkoping, which created a specific selection based on a geographic location. All of the interviews were planned to take place at the selected company’s facilities. However, one of the interviews was conducted through e-mail, which may have influenced the responses from that specific company. Limitations – The main limitation of the study was the time frame. Considering the six interviews and the extensive survey, we spent a lot of time analysing and compiling the collected data. The study was also limited to web-based portfolios. However, the interviews showed details that would have made it interesting to look at a bigger picture regarding the process of job seeking. The study was, nevertheless, focused primarily on the design of the portfolio.

Tezėse nagrinėjamas hipertekstinės grafinės vartotojo sąsajos aprašymas aukšto abstrakcijos lygmens elementais, juos apibrėžiant deklaratyvia sintakse. Siūloma architektūra aprašo hipertekstinę grafinę vartotojo sąsają aukšto abstrakcijos lygmens elementais. Apibrėžiamas 20-ties esminių grafinių elementų rinkinys, deklaratyvi XML notacija ir suprojektuojama HTML grafinės vartotojo sąsajos biblioteka, veikianti JavaScript pagrindu bei užtikrinanti ženkliai greitesnį ir paprastesnį grafinės vartotojo sąsajos kūrimą. Pateiktas metodas neturi viešų analogų ir yra skirtas sudėtingiems grafinės vartotojo sąsajos sprendimams. Eksperimentiniais tyrimais parodoma, kad deklaratyvi notacija ir aukštas abstrakcijos lygmuo gali sumažinti programinį kodą nuo 3,1 karto trivialiems GUI elementams iki 204,1 karto sudėtingiems GUI sprendimams. Eksperimentai patvirtina, kad didėjant grafinę vartotojo sąsają sudarančių HTML elementų kiekiui, galima tikėtis dar geresnių efektyvumo rodiklių. Sukurta architektūra yra integruota į programinės įrangos projektavimo modelį, kuriame vartotojo sąsajos ir logikos kūrimas iš dalies automatizuotas naudojant UML modelį. Tradicinis tekstinis redaktorius pakeistas duomenimis paremtu projektavimo įrankiu, panaudos atvejai vystomi scenarijais su grafiniu redaktoriumi, duomenų infrastruktūra generuojama iš modelio, o realizacija pateikiama keliomis programavimo technologijomis.
In master theses hypertext graphical user interface definition using high abstraction level declarative syntax is analyzed and architecture model is suggested. Suggested architecture defines graphical user interface using high abstraction level elements. Basic element set of more than 20 elements is defined, declarative XML notation is suggested and graphical user interface library for HTML is developed with JavaScript to ensure much faster and easier standard-based graphical user interface development. Provided method has no public analogues yet and is suggested for complex graphic user interfaces. Experimental studies proved that declarative syntax and high abstraction level can reduce programming language code from 3.1 times on trivial GUI elements to 204.1 times on complex GUI solutions. Studies have showed that when the number of HTML elements composing graphical user interface grows, even better effectiveness can be achieved. Developed architecture is integrated in software development model where graphical user interface and logic are semi-automated using UML model. Traditional text editor is changed by data driven design tool, use-cases are developed using graphical editor, data infrastructure is build from the model and solution is delivered in several programming technologies.

Vários fatores da interface gráfica influenciam no comportamento de busca um usuário que navega em um website, dentre os quais pode-se citar a usabilidade, a acessibilidade, o design, a rotulagem e a arquitetura das informações. Uma das teorias que estuda o comportamento desses usuários no processo de busca é a Coleta de Informações. Basicamente, essa teoria baseia-se na percepção subjetiva do valor que as pessoas calculam enquanto acessam pistas proximais (hiperlinks de texto, ícones, etc.). Essa teoria acredita que o sucesso em uma busca por navegação depende da análise semântica, realizada pelos usuários, da proximidade entre o hiperlink acessado e o conteúdo que se deseja encontrar, portanto, o conhecimento da língua utilizada no website é de fundamental importância para uma busca bem sucedida. No entanto, devido à insuficiência na alfabetização de surdos pré-linguísticos ocasionada pela ausência do input auditivo, eles apresentam relevantes dificuldades de navegação em websites, que vão desde à confusão na escolha dos hipertextos, provocada pela semelhança visual e semântica entre as palavras, e problema de compreensão da leitura. Estudos relacionados à Teoria da Coleta de Informações buscaram relacionar pistas proximais que auxiliassem surdos em tarefas de navegação, porém essas pesquisas se mostraram incompletas e muitas lacunas não foram efetivamente preenchidas, como a similaridade entre o conteúdo e a pista nos formatos de imagem e vídeo em língua de sinais ou características como velocidade do vídeo. Com essas informações incompletas, os desenvolvedores das interfaces gráficas não dispõem de orientaçãos que possam conduzi-los a resolver o problema de navegação dos surdos. Em face do exposto, o objetivo traçado para esse trabalho foi propor recomendações para a criação de pistas proximais de navegação em websites voltadas para surdos pré-linguísticos. Para tal, adotou-se uma abordagem metodológica qualitativa, com métodos de coleta de dados tais como pesquisas bibliográficas e estudos de campo. Esses métodos permitiram ultrapassar as fronteiras da interdisciplinaridade ao utilizar modelos transdisciplinares da coprodução. Inicialmente, foi realizada uma revisão integrativa, que reuniu referências obtidas por pesquisas tradicionais e sistemáticas. Em seguida, realizou-se uma entrevista semiestruturada com tradutores/intérpretes da língua de sinais, que são pessoas mediadoras entre a Libras (língua de sinais utilizada no Brasil) e o português. Com base nos resultados dessa entrevista e somando-se os dados obtidos na literatura, elaborou-se um protótipo de website que serviu de base para a aplicação de testes empíricos de usabilidade e de entrevistas semiestruturadas com participantes surdos. Após as observações dos testes e as análises das entrevistas com a técnica do Discurso do Sujeito Coletivo (DSC) foi possível realizar uma triangulação para obter-se as recomendações preliminares. Essas recomendações foram, então, submetidas à avaliação por especialistas, por meio do Método Delphi. Ao final, obteve-se um conjunto de 40 recomendações, divididas por sete diretrizes principais, que versam sobre aspectos semânticos, clareza e design das pistas proximais em língua de sinais, aspectos semânticos e design das pistas proximais em imagens, combinação entre os formatos das pistas (texto, imagem e vídeos em língua de sinais), navegação do website e aspectos gerais que melhoram o desempenho dos usuários surdos. Espera-se que com essas recomendações, designers, websigners e tradutores/intérpretes de português-Libras possam se guiar para elaborar projetos de websites mais acessíveis a surdos pré-linguísticos.

Abstract : Many aspects from graphic interface influence the research behavior of a user who navigates in a website, which we can name the usability, accessibility, the design, the labeling and the information architecture. One of the theories which study theses user´s behavior in the research process is Information Foraging. Basically, this theory is based on valuable subjective perception which people calculate while access proximal clues (text hyperlink, icons, etc.). This theory believes that the success in a navigation search depends on a semantics analysis, made by users, from the proximity with the accessed hyperlink and the content they wish to find, therefore, the knowledge of the language used in the website is fundamentally important for a well succeeded search. However, due to the insufficient literacy in pre linguistic deaf, caused by the absence of auditory input, they present relevant navigation difficulty in websites, which go from the confusion of hypertexts choices, caused by visual and semantic similarities between words, and the reading comprehension problem. Studies related to Information Foraging Theory tried to relate proximal clues which would help the deaf on navigation tasks. However, these researches have presented as incomplete and many gaps were not effectively filled, such as the similarity between the content and the clues on the forms of image and video in sign language or characteristics such as video speed. With this incomplete information, the developers of graphic interfaces do not have orientation which can conduct them to solve the deaf navigation problem. As such, the aim of this work was to suggest recommendations to make proximal navigation clues in websites destined to pre linguistic deaf. To achieve that, a qualitative methodologic approach, with data collection methods such as bibliographic research and field study took place. These methods allowed it beyond the interdisciplinary boundary by utilizing transdisciplinary models of co-production. First of all, an integrative review was made, which joined references obtained from traditional and systematic researches. After that, a semi structured interview with translators/interpreters from sign language, who are mediators between LIBRAS (Brazilian sign language in Brazil) and Portuguese happened. Based on the results of this interview and adding the data obtained in literature, a website prototype was developed which worked as base for the implementation of usability empiric tests and semi structured interviews with deaf participants. After tests observation and interview analysis with the Joint Subject Discourse (DSC) it was possible to make a triangulation to obtain the preliminary recommendation. These recommendations were, then, submitted to evaluations by specialists, through Delphi Method. In the end, a group of 40 recommendations was obtained, divided by seven main guidelines, which stated about semantic aspects, cleanliness and design of close clues from sign language, semantic aspects and design of proximal clues in images, combination between clues formats (texts, images and videos in sign language), website navigation and general aspects which improve deaf users ?performance. It is expected that with these recommendations, designers, web designers and translators/interpreters from LIBRAS-Portuguese it is possible to guide and make websites projects more accessible to pre linguistic deaf.

Denna rapport beskriver processen av skapandet av en webbaserad säljpresentation av en av företaget PROSK8’s planerade produkter. Målet med presentationen är att skapa nyfikenhet och förtroende genom visuell design och ska fungera som ett verktyg och stöd för företagets presentatörer vid möten med investerare. Centralt för denna process är upplevelsedesign, varför utgångspunkten för arbetsflödet bygger på Jesse James Garretts modell av ”The elements of user experience”. Modellen har under processen anpassats och ifrågasatts utifrån gällande designprinciper och målgrupps- och kontextanpassats. Viktiga designbeslut har motiverats och beskrivits kronologiskt. Projektet har vid avslut resulterat i en skarp leverans av en design som blivit godkänd av beställaren och överförts till en extern webbutvecklare, tillsammans med en webbprototyp.
This report describes the process of the production of a web based sales pitch presentation of one of the PROSK8 companys forthcoming products. The goal of the presentation is to generate curiousness and trust through visual design and will work as a support tool for the companys representativs in meetings with potential investors. The process is based around Jesse James Garretts model of ”The elements of user experience”. The model has through out the process been modified and questioned using contemporary design principles and the perspectives of the target group and context. Major decisions has been described and motivated chronologically. The completion of the project has resulted in a sharp delivery of a design that’s been approved by the client and transfered to an external web developer, along with a web page prototype.
