BackgroundAcute pancreatitis (AP) is an inflammatory condition that can lead to late consequences. Recurrent AP (RAP) develops in 20% of patients and chronic pancreatitis (CP) occurs in 7%–12.8%. However, we do not have sufficient information to establish an evidence-based statement to define early CP, or how to prevent its development.AimThe aim of this study was to understand the influencing factors and to determine which parameters should be measured or used as a biomarker to detect the early phase of CP.Methods/DesignThis is an observational prospective follow-up study of the GOULASH-trial (ISRTCN 63827758) in which (1) all severity of pancreatitis are included; (2) patients receive only therapeutic modalities which are accepted by the evidence based medicine (EBM) guideline; (3) whole blood, serum and plasma samples are stored in our biobank; and (4) large amount of variables are collected and kept in our electronic database including anamnestic data, physical examination, laboratory parameters, imaging, therapy and complications. Therefore, this fully characterised patient cohort are well suitable for this longitudinal follow-up study. Patients’ selection: patients enrolled in the GOULASH study will be offered to join to the longitudinal study. The follow-up will be at 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 years after the episode of AP. Anamnestic data will be collected by questionnaires: (1) diet history questionnaire, (2) 36-Item Short-Form Health Survey, (3) physical activity questionnaire and (4) stress questionnaire. Genetic tests will be performed for the genes associated with CP. The exocrine and endocrine pancreatic, liver and kidney functions will be determined by laboratory tests, stool sample analyses and imaging. Cost-effectiveness will be analysed to examine the relationship between events of interest and health-related quality of life or to explore subgroup differences.ConclusionThis study will provide information about the risk and influencing factors leading to CP and identify the most useful measurable parameters.Trial registration numberISRCTN63396106

The migration of bisphenol A (BPA) from epoxy-phenolic can coating into canned meat products, produced for the needs of the Serbian Armed Forces, was investigated in this work. The tinplate cans were made according to the special military demands, filled with the beef goulash or the meatballs in tomato sauce, and preserved by sterilization. The structure of internal can coating was analyzed by FTIR spectroscopy. The migration of BPA into content of the cans was investigated after storage under regular conditions in typical military facilities. The samples of beef goulash (BG) produced in 2010-2016, and the meatballs in tomato sauce (MB) produced in 2014?2017 were tested for the presence of BPA. Thereafter, the impact of storage temperature and degree of can damage on BPA migration was examined. Both meat products were thermostated on 20 and 40 ?C, and BPA level was measured after 3, 6, 9 and 12 months of storage. The level of BPA was determined in the content of undamaged cans, and cans with lower and higher degree of damage. The BPA was extracted from food with acetonitrile and the extracts were purified by QuEChERS procedure. The level of BPA was determined by LC?MS.

Com este trabalho procurei compreender o povoamento do alto Uruguai com grupos portadores da tradição tecnológica Tupiguarani, a partir de sítios registrados na área atingida pela UHE Itá. A análise se detém sobre o “Acervo Marilandi Goulart”, composto por cultura material e relatórios de pesquisa produzidos durante o desenvolvimento do “Projeto Salvamento Arqueológico Uruguai” e do “Projeto Salvamento Arqueológico Uruguai: Usina Hidrelétrica de Itá”, entre os anos de 1980 e 1997. Para essa abordagem foi preciso construir um histórico dos projetos e da atuação da arqueóloga Marilandi Goulart, o que tornou possível conferir visibilidade aos resultados obtidos durante as pesquisas e avaliar criticamente as possibilidades e limitações no desdobramento de análises de acervos advindos de pesquisa arqueológica de contrato. In this dissertation I tried to understand the total number of people living in Alto Uruguai by human groups of the ceramic tradition named Tupiguarani, analyzing the archaeological sites of the flooded area by the UHE Itá. The analysis was based on the “Acervo Marilandi Goulart”, composed by the recovered cultural material and the reports produced during the development of the “Projeto Salvamento Arqueológico Uruguai” and of the “Projeto Salvamento Arqueológico Uruguai: Usina Hidrelétrica de Itá”, between 1980 and 1997. To emphasize the product and to critically evaluate the possibilities and limitations of researches based on collections resulting from rescue or contract projects, it was necessary to reconstruct the history of the mentioned projects, and also the activities of the executing archaeologist Marilandi Goulart. Em 13 de março de 1964 um comício realizado em Praça pública e comandado pelo então presidente João Goulart ganhou enorme repercussão no campo político, na grande imprensa e na sociedade civil. Era a expressão de um conflito deflagrado com a posse de Goulart, em agosto/setembro de 1961. Num contexto de fortes demandas sociais, crescente politização popular e polarização política e social, o comício da Central explora a construção de novos espaços políticos e ocorre em nome da ampliação democrática. Nessa conjuntura, entre 1961 e 1964, os periódicos se destacam como meios de comunicação de maior alcance, profundamente engajados no conflito político. Assim, o espaço da imprensa constitui um campo de luta privilegiado na disputa pela conquista da opinião pública e os seus principais atores tornam-se também sujeitos do processo político. Através da análise crítica desse passado político recente espera-se trazer novas questões ao debate histórico-político. Procura-se ampliar as possibilidades de observação de argumentos e forças que, vez ou outra, atuam no sentido de postergar a implantação de uma democracia mais ampla e estável no Brasil.
On March 13th 1964, a political rally headed up by then president João Goulart gained enormous traction in political circles, in the press and in civilian society. It was the expression of a conflict that began with the election of João Goulart, in August/September 1961. In a context of strong social demands, growing political awareness and social and political polarization, the rally of Central explores the construction of new political spaces in the name of furthering the expansion of democracy. In this conjuncture, among 1961 and 1964, the periodic ones if detach as medias of bigger reach, deeply engaged in the conflict politician. Thus, the space of the press constitutes a privileged field of fight in the dispute of the conquest of the public opinion and its main actors also become citizens of the process politician. Through the critical analysis of this past recent politician one expects to bring new questions to the debate description-politician. It is looked to extend the possibilities of comment of arguments and forces that, time or another one, act in the direction to delay the implantation of a ampler and steady democracy in Brazil.

COORDENAÇÃO DE APERFEIÇOAMENTO DO PESSOAL DE ENSINO SUPERIOR
Umas histórias outras de João Goulart: a construção de um personagem no teatro da política brasileira é um ensaio - em que narração e descrição foram mescladas com a escrita argumentativa - sobre a trajetória enigmática do ex-presidente João Goulart, do Golpe de 64 até sua morte no exílio, em 1976. O palco político onde Jango atuou serve de objeto a esta dissertação não para investigar sua dimensão histórica, mas com o propósito de revelar e analisar criticamente a trama de discursos que tentaram desvendar essa trajetória, os quais estão instalados em estatutos diferentes. São eles: o fabulista, utilizado pelo cineasta Glauber Rocha, o memorialista, pelo antropólogo Darcy Ribeiro, o epistolar, pelo próprio Jango, o oficial, pelo governo da Ditadura Militar, o informativo, pela imprensa, e, ainda, o ficcional/jornalístico, pela autora da dissertação, que, ao incluir um texto com sua própria assinatura, no corpus textual da pesquisa, pretendeu evidenciar a orientação auto-identificadora e auto-reflexiva da mesma. A perspectiva teórica com a qual se trabalhou foi a de que os relatos do governo e da imprensa, enquanto propostas de verdade conclusiva, são apenas reativos e não correspondem ao poder que exerceram, na circunstância de sua divulgação. De acordo com essa visão, a força especulativa só existe na atividade fabuladora, isto é, só a arte e os discursos claramente interessados é que ativam os signos do passado, tornando-os passíveis de desvendamento, ao mesmo tempo em que se prestam a reflexões que servem para entender o presente.
João Goulart s Other Histories: Character Development on Brazil s Political Stage is an essay - and as such its style is a combination of narration, description, and argumentative or academic prose - which chronicles the path of Brazilian former president João Goulart starting the 1964 coup until his death in exile in 1976. Jango s political setting, as well as the role he plays in it, serves here not as a means of assessing his historical standing, but rather as an object whose purpose is to unveil and critically scrutinize the discourse networks and webs elicited by the former president s political path. These discursive webs appear in a wide variety of categories: there is the storyteller s point of view as seen in the works of filmmaker Glauber Rocha; the anthropologist Darcy Ribeiro s memorialist take; Jango s own epistolary writings; the official version supported by the members of the dictatorial regime; the documental or journalistic disseminated by the media. Finally, in addition to these categories is the fictional/journalistic style adopted by the author of this dissertation as she opts to include an essay bearing her own signature into the corpus of her research. Her intent at doing so: locating and acknowledging her awareness of her stance vis a vis the subject at hand. The present research operates under one theoretical assumption: that official documents and press materials, far from being actual conclusive facts, are mainly reactive in nature. In other words, over the years they have lost their claim to truth. Subscribing to these views, this essay contends that speculation into the past is only achievable if combined with the ability to generate narratives, be these fictional or not. Only imbued with self-reflexive discourse and only within the sphere of art would one be able to activate signs of the past - thus rendering them not only intelligible but capable of eliciting reflection and of offering clues to understanding the present.

Resumo: Em meio a uma grande crise político-institucional, o governo João Goulart se iniciou em setembro de 1961. Além da instabilidade político-institucional, o governo se deparava com o aumento das mobilizações sociais e com a extrema politização das relações internacionais imposta pela Guerra Fria. Na área econômica, os seus principais desafios eram a inflação crescente e os problemas de balanço de pagamentos. Apesar de propostas oficiais enérgicas para o combate desses problemas, quando ocorreu a ruptura da legalidade, o Brasil se encontrava com inflação galopante, deterioração ainda maior das contas externas e crescimento negativo do produto per capita. A deterioração dos indicadores macroeconômicos e a intensificação da crise político-social inspiraram muitos analistas a responsabilizarem o próprio Jango pelo golpe militar de abril de 1964. Críticas dirigidas ao estilo político do ex-presidente são comuns nesse tipo de interpretação. Em relação à política econômica do governo, alguns estudos sublinham a ineficácia ou a irracionalidade dessas políticas. Este trabalho, por sua vez, enfatiza as restrições estruturais de ordem econômica (as tendências cíclicas de uma economia subdesenvolvida, as mudanças induzidas pelo Plano de Metas, etc.) e política (tensões sociais, as pressões advindas da política externa norte-americana e a crise político-institucional, etc.) como limitadores da capacidade dos instrumentos de política econômica de reverter a tendência de deterioração das principais variáveis macroeconômicas. Além disso, supomos que o governo, consciente de algumas dessas restrições, buscou em diversas ocasiões ampliar o espaço para implementação de políticas econômicas, por meio de reformas institucionais, barradas pela oposição conservadora no Poder Legislativo

Esta tese tem por objetivo analisar os discursos dos principais sujeitos políticos envolvidos nos dois momentos de maior instabilidade política do governo João Goulart, a saber: primeiramente, o momento da crise sucessória decorrente da renúncia de Jânio Quadros em agosto de 1961 e o segundo momento, entre 13 e 31 de março de 1964, marcado pela crise dos últimos dias do governo Jango. Para cada um desses momentos, serão analisados os discursos dos diversos grupos políticos que atuaram em tais episódios, a partir das categorias “diagnósticos de desordem” e “soluções de ordem”, à luz da Teoria do Discurso de Ernesto Laclau e Chantal Mouffe.

Central objective of this research is an analysis of speeches of João Goulart, articulated between September 07, 1961 and March 31, 1964 (time when he was the President of the Republic), searching to extract its conceptual specificities, propositions and bounds, within of the historical process which he represented, indicating the existing organic bond between the propositions and appeals of such speech and the moment of intense political movements and debates on country directions of the Brazilian history. Starting by the entirety of the speech collection, we identify the main topics discussed, around which Goulart's most relevant propositions defended at the time of his government. Such themes are grouped among three axes: economic emancipation and basic reforms, with an emphasis on land reform; independent policy for international relations between Brazil and United States and Brazil and Latin America; and unstableness of legal order
O objetivo central desta pesquisa é a análise dos discursos de João Goulart, pronunciados entre 07 de setembro de 1961 e 31 de março de 1964 (período em que ocupou a Presidência da República), buscando extrair suas especificidades conceituais, suas proposições e seus limites, dentro do processo histórico em que está inserido, explicitando o vínculo orgânico existente entre as propostas e os apelos de tal discurso e um momento da história brasileira marcado por intensas movimentações políticas e debates sobre os rumos do país. Partindo da totalidade dos discursos reunidos, identificamos os principais temas abordados, em torno dos quais são articuladas as propostas mais relevantes defendidas por Goulart em seu governo. Tais temas estão agrupados em três eixos: emancipação econômica e reformas de base, com destaque para a reforma agrária; política externa independente nas relações exteriores entre Brasil e Estados Unidos e entre Brasil e América Latina; e instabilidade da ordem legal

This dissertation analyzes the political opposition movement against João Goulart‟s administration (1961 - 1964), led by the Paulista liberal elite, simultaneously involving business segments and political leaders affiliated to the União Democrátic a Nacional (UDN). To understand such movement, I chose to examine the newspaper Notícias Populares , founded in 1963 by the national president of UDN, the Paulista entrepreneur Herbert Levy, as part of his strategy against Goulart. The newspaper aimed at re aders from the urban popular classes in São Paulo. The goal of this dissertation is to understand the role played by Notícias Populares in the political struggle of the period, which implies also the analysis of the perception of the popular classes by the sector represented by Levy in the beginning of the 1960s.
Esta dissertação tem como tema mais amplo o movimento político de oposição ao governo João Goulart (1961-64) promovido pela elite liberal paulista, que englobava, ao mesmo tempo, segmentos do empresariado e lideranças políticas filiadas à União Democrática Nacional (UDN). Para entender esse movimento, elegi como objeto de estudo o jornal Notícias Populares, criado, em 1963, como parte das estratégias empreendidas por Herbert Levy, empresário paulista, e, à época, presidente nacional da UDN, contra o governo Goulart. O jornal era voltado para leitores oriundos das classes populares urbanas de São Paulo. O objetivo desta dissertação é compreender o papel desempenhado por Notícias Populares na luta política do período, o que implica, também, analisar a percepção dos setores representados por Herbert Levy sobre o papel das classes populares no início dos anos de 1960.

This research deals with the intersection between the interests of the government and the interests of the working class in the pages of the Last Hour. Created to defend and spread the Getulio Vargas policy and respond to criticism of other media outlets, the newspaper also had as main objective to represent the interests of ordinary people, especially the workers. The chronological cut for this analysis was the second government of Vargas, located 1950-1954 and timeframe of this study is 1951 appearance of the year of the Last Hour. The paper identifies how the labor movement has been portrayed in this paper, through the analysis of news coverage in key moments of representation of political ideology during the second government of Vargas: the celebrations by then the president’s birthday and Labor Day and João Goulart management in front of the Ministry of Labor, Industry and Commerce. The research also analyzes the coverage of two major strikes that happened in the period: the strike of 300,000 and Greve Mariners, both in 1953 and the spaces reserved for the claims of the workers in the pages of newspapers: the column 'Tell the people in UH 'and the realization of simulated popular courts against the economy of the people.
A presente pesquisa trata sobre o cruzamento entre os interesses do governo e os interesses da classe trabalhadora nas páginas da Última Hora. Criado para defender e difundir a política de Getúlio Vargas e responder às críticas dos demais veículos de imprensa, o jornal também tinha como objetivo principal representar os interesses dos setores populares, principalmente, dos trabalhadores. O recorte cronológico para esta análise foi o segundo governo de Vargas, situado de 1950 a 1954 e marco temporal deste estudo é 1951, ano de surgimento da Última Hora. O trabalho identifica de que forma o trabalhismo esteve retratado neste jornal, por meio da análise da cobertura jornalística em momentos-chave da representação desta ideologia política durante o segundo governo de Vargas: as comemorações pelo aniversário do então Presidente e pelo Dia do Trabalho e a gestão de João Goulart à frente do Ministério do Trabalho, Indústria e Comércio. A pesquisa analisa também a cobertura das duas grandes greves que aconteceram no período: a Greve dos 300 mil e a Greve dos Marítimos, ambas em 1953 e os espaços destinados para as reclamações dos trabalhadores nas páginas dos jornais: a coluna 'Fala o Povo na UH' e a realização dos simulados dos tribunais populares contra a economia do povo.

Cette mémoire a pour objet les actions de João Goulart (Jango) en tant que ministre du travail dans l'ancien ministère du travail, de l'Industrie et du Commerce (MTIC) au Brésil. Il s'agît, donc, d'analyser la période du 17 juin 1953, la date de la nomination de Jango comme ministre, par le président de la République, Gétulio Vargas Dorneles, jusqu'au 22 février 1954, moment où celui-là a quitté le MTIC en présentant sa demande de démission. Cette recherche, plus précisément, a eu comme objectif démontrer dans quelle mesure les actions de João Goulart ont un rapport avec le travaillisme. En prenant la fonction de ministre du Travail, Goulart avait déjà accumulé le poste de président du Directoire national du Parti travailliste brésilien (PTB). À partir de cela, la recherche remonte à l'identification des principales idées à quelles le concept du travaillisme a été associé. Nous prenons en compte les idées qui ont été déjà développées par Alberto Pasqualini au début des années 1940. À partir de ces données, ce travail situe aussi dans le temps et l'espace la formation du Parti travailliste brésilien grâce au rapport établit entre celui-ci et le travaillisme. Il identifie également les principaux aspects qui marquent l'entrée de João Goulart sur la scène politique du Brésil, en soulignant ses premiers métiers dans le gouvernement et en mettant l'accent sur la nature politique des lignes directrices acquises par le contact avec Getúlio Vargas. Enfin, la recherche présente également les principales actions mises en place par Jango pendant sa participation au MTIC. Ainsi, cette mémoire procède aux approches souhaitées. fre
A presente pesquisa trata a respeito da atuação de João Goulart à frente do Ministério do Trabalho, Indústria e Comércio (MTIC). O marco temporal desse estudo é 17 de junho de 1953, data de nomeação de Jango para a pasta do Trabalho, pelo então Presidente da República, Sr. Getúlio Dorneles Vargas, indo até a data de sua saída do MTIC, quando apresentou seu pedido de demissão em 22 de fevereiro de 1954. A presente investigação, mais especificamente, busca evidenciar em que medida as ações do ministro Jango aproximam-se das ideias do conceito de trabalhismo. Ao assumir a função de Ministro do Trabalho João Goulart já acumulava o cargo de presidente do Diretório Nacional do Partido Trabalhista Brasileiro (PTB). A partir disso, o estudo retrocede à identificação das principais ideias acerca do conceito de trabalhismo, as quais foram elaboradas por Alberto Pasqualini ainda no início dos anos 40. Com base nessas constatações, esse trabalho localiza, no tempo e no espaço, a formação do referido Partido Trabalhista, tendo em vista que esse partido absorveu grande parte do conceito de trabalhismo. A pesquisa identifica, ainda, os principais aspectos que situam o ingresso de João Goulart na cena política brasileira, destacando seus primeiros cargos públicos e dando ênfase para as orientações de cunho político adquiridas pelo convívio com Getúlio Vargas. Finalmente, a pesquisa apresenta, também, as principais ações realizadas ao longo da gestão Jango no MTIC e procede-se às aproximações pretendidas.

Over three decades, there have been several investigations of Romero’s murder that have uncovered significant information but never led to a trial. In 1980, Judge Atilio Ramirez Amaya attended the autopsy and started gathering evidence but the police who normally assisted were entirely absent, and three days later an assassination attempt caused Ramirez Amaya to flee. Later that year, authorities raided an estate called Finca San Luis, arrested several extremists, including Roberto D’Aubuisson, and seized documents showing death squad operations, including a datebook called the Saravia Diary that contained a page titled Operation Piña that is thought to describe Romero’s murder. In the next few years, the U.S. embassy developed an insider military source who claimed to have attended a planning meeting for Romero’s assassination. In 1987, the getaway driver for the operation, Amado Garay, testified before Salvadoran judge and implicated Roberto D’Aubuisson and Alvaro Saravia in the plot.

To help with the design of axial flow steam turbine blading a suite of flow analysis programs has been adapted and developed. Effort has been concentrated on improving the blade-to-blade analysis and developing a two-dimensional blade-to-blade profile design method. The development and verification of the analysis program have already been reported in detail (Willis, 1987 and Willis and Goulas, 1987). This paper presents the design or inverse solution. The analysis method uses an inviscid stream function solution coupled with an integral boundary layer calculation. In the design program the required changes in the blade geometry are effected via a transpiration type model. It is therefore a ‘profile refinement’, rather than an ‘original’ design procedure, and is necessarily an iterative solution. A required velocity distribution may be specified over only part of the blade surface. Two examples are presented in this paper to illustrate the capability of the design program.

Grande parte a bibliografia recente a respeito da história das cidades brasileiras tem se apoiado em fontes de origem iconográfica ou cartográfica. Os primeiros pesquisadores a lançarem mão destas fontes foram Nestor Goulart Reis Filho em “Evolução Urbana no Brasil” (1968) e Paulo Ferreira Santos em “Formação de Cidades no Brasil Colonial” (1968). Ambas as obras citadas estão inseridas em uma discussão acerca da morfologia dos núcleos coloniais brasileiros, a qual é iniciada por Sérgio Buarque de Holanda em um ensaio intitulado O Semeador e o Ladrilhador que compõe o livro Raízes do Brasil (2005). Nesta obra, A urbe tem um papel racionalizador e colonizador, que destoa do perfil aventureiro do português, preocupado com o enriquecimento fácil, sem vínculos duradouros com os lugares onde passava. Suas cidades seriam semeadas pelo litoral sem compromisso; sua forma foi ordenada pelo relevo e sua construção se deu sem “nenhum rigor, nenhum método, nenhuma previdência, sempre esse significativo abandono que exprime a palavra desleixo” (HOLANDA. 2005, p.110).

Seducido por lo inquietante de su imagen de eterna espera, este trabajo pretende identificar, catalogar y sondear aquéllos vacíos cuyo peso semiológico denota expectativa no cumplida. Busca explorar la condición perceptiva de la ausencia de una urbanidad reconocible y ahondar sobre los límites físicos y semánticos de estos ámbitos que derivan de la indecisión. Numerosos autores han sucumbido ante sus encantos. Algunos, como Ignasi de Solà-Morales, acuñaban el término de terrain vague interrogando el significado de vacuum y emparentándolo, de manera inalienable, con la condición inherente de inestabilidad como mayor sinónimo de libertad y promesa. Son los lugares de la incertidumbre, el resultado de una crisis económica y de modelo qua azotó con especial crudeza a la España de la burbuja y que la fotógrafa Julia Schulz Dornburg retrató como ruinas modernas (2012). También son los espacios de la obsolescencia programada o fortuita, los bordes e intersticios de unas infraestructuras omnipresentes, redundantes y confusas en nuestro territorio del Camp de Tarragona. Intraestructuras, planteaba Manuel de Solá-Morales. Ámbitos de una periferia perenne, en cuya condición de ordinalidad recae su verdadero valor, tanto ético como estético. En este sentido, partiendo del reconocimiento de la incertidumbre como sinónimo de potencial ecológico que defiende G. Clement (20114), este estudio ensayará, en una primera instancia, una caracterización de esta serie de Otros paisajes (Goula, M. 2006) para, acto seguido, definir las calidades de la gramática territorial de estos paisajes transitivos apostando por un ejercicio de catalogación -transversal y multicriterio- de sus principales valores y complementos.
