Purpose – This paper aims to understand the interrelationships between the various factors that affect the use of course Web sites by university students in a developing country. The factors considered for the purpose of studying these interrelationships include perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, perceived Web site credibility and Web site learning acceptance and satisfaction. Furthermore, a comparative study of the potential differences in perceptions between Indian and Omani students with respect to the aforementioned factors is also presented. Design/methodology/approach – A survey instrument was used to collect data from students. Based on an extensive literature review, this paper uses empirical research to analyze student satisfaction in relation to learning through course Websites. Data were analyzed using factor analysis, structural equation modeling and a t-test. Findings – Under the newly proposed construct, Web site credibility was found to be an important predictor of Web site learning acceptance and satisfaction, whereas perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use were mediating variables. In the extended study that compared the relative perceptions of Indian and Omani students, a statistically significant difference in Indian and Omani students was observed for Web site learning acceptance and satisfaction. Practical implications – This study can provide valuable insights for decision-makers that will aid the development of more user-friendly course Web sites for higher education institutions and also promote higher levels of learning, satisfaction and greater course web site usage. Originality/value – This study is probably the first attempt made to observe students’ perceptions of learning via course Web sites in Oman. Furthermore, the use of perceived Web site credibility as a factor in understanding perceptions regarding course Web site learning is a unique feature presented by this paper that is seldom seen in the existing research literature.

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to improve the general operationalization of an “active patient,” by examining the specific activities and skills expected of active patients. Design/methodology/approach – Expected activities and necessary skills were studied through a qualitative case study into the development and use of an assistive technology (i.e. web site) aimed at stimulating active patient-ship. Interviews, observations and document analysis were used to capture and explore designers’ inscribing practices and their consequences regarding expected competences and activities of patients using the web site. Findings – Designers inscribed two “co-design roles” that active patients were expected to perform on the web site (co-designing their own healthcare and co-designing the healthcare of peers), for which at least eight different competencies were needed. The absence of skills or facilities to apply these skills resulted in incomplete use, a different use than intended by designers and non-use of the web site. Practical implications – Technological choices and inscribing processes determine who is able or facilitated to become active and who is not. Due to inscribed co-design roles, it also influences the extent to which already active peers are able to perform health-related activities. Different users with different conditions should be taken into account in the design as specific group characteristics can influence level of individual activity. Originality/value – This study is, as far as the authors know, the first that examines the “active patient” concept by studying an assistive technology and using scripting literature, resulting in an improved understanding of what it means to become “active” in terms of skills and activities.

The January 6, 2020 insurrection at the United States Capitol Building confirmed and challenged many people’s assumptions about how religion functions in society. As the events of that day continue to be reviewed by government officials, scholars, and public audiences, the Uncivil Religion Project has become an invaluable resource in those endeavors. Spearheaded by Prof. Mike Altman at the University of Alabama and Jerome Copulsky and Peter Manseau from the Smithsonian National Museum of American History, the collaborative web project is both a media-rich digital archive and scholarly anthology on this pivotal historical moment. Altman led a team of graduate students in the University of Alabama’s Religion in Culture MA program in the development of the site. Bulletin editorial assistant Erica Bennet interviewed Ciara Eichorst, Katie Johnson, and Phoebe Duke-Mosier to learn how this project not only took shape, but also impacted their education in the academic study of religion.

Background: Energy Service Companies (ESCOs) for telecommunication sites operate by providing reliable power supply at 100% uptime and billing the mobile operators accommodated on their sites for power usage. To achieve this, there is a need for them to accurately meter the power consumed by connected telecommunication equipment. Method: This work focused on the design and implementation of a remote monitoring agent (RMA) that will pool both power and environmental data from a telecommunication site. The data pool can be presented as real-time data on the RMA’s webpage, it can be downloaded as historical data, and it can be sent to a remote cloud server at regular intervals. The RMA collects both power and environmental data over an RS485 Modbus network and I2C bus respectively. An alternating current (AC) energy meter and a direct current (DC) energy meter were used to harvest the energy data while the environmental data were harvested using a developed Input/Output controller board based on an Atmega328P microcontroller. Raspberry pi was used as the master controller and Node.js was used to build the application running on the master controller. Result: The result showed how both power and environmental data can be harvested from a telecommunication site and locally presented on the web dashboard for real-time monitoring of the site power system. The data could be saved locally on the RMA and downloaded for future use. Conclusion: The implementation of this work provided a prototype of the remote monitoring agent (RMA) that can be deployed by Energy Service Companies (ESCOs) in the telecommunication industry to monitor the usage of the power systems on a cell site.

Purpose – to study website’s work and content of the travel agency on the example of the "Laspi" travel agency, identify its technical properties and offer methods to increase the web-resource leading position in the Yandex and Google search engines by performing SEO-analysis. Findings.The travel product promotion directly depends on the travel market participants' advertising tools' effectiveness, mainly travel agents. It is determined that one of the new technologies that increase the advertising effectiveness, in particular via the travel agencies’ web resources, is SEO-technology. The authors Identified technical shortcomings of its operation, mainly related to search queries statistics, the subject site visits, the semantic core operation, the site improvement, the site increasing citation, and the number of persistent references in the network. It is proved that updating site development, changing its environment, analyzing user behavior, namely the Og Properties micro markup, updating HTML tags, analytical programs placing, iframe objects selection, and other activities, increase the content uniqueness. As a result, search engines scanned the site, and the search results took first place for the positions essential for the web resource. Originality/Value. The leading positions increasing mechanism application, website operation optimization allow search engines to bring it to the TOP of the most popular travel sites. Theoretical implications. To optimize the web resource operation, a mechanism for improving its leading position is proposed that includes three steps: the general website characteristics of marketing, SEO-analysis, recommendations provision. Practical implications. The research is practical in improving the site’s technical operation and increasing its leading position in Yandex and Google search engines. Research limitations/Future research. Further research aims at the site further analysis after making the proposed changes to its operation. Paper type – empirical.

Abstract. The present article reviews web-based research in psychology. It captures principles, learnings, and trends in several types of web-based research that show similar developments related to web technology and its major shifts (e.g., appearance of search engines, browser wars, deep web, commercialization, web services, HTML5…) as well as distinct challenges. The types of web-based research discussed are web surveys and questionnaire research, web-based tests, web experiments, Mobile Experience Sampling, and non-reactive web research, including big data. A number of web-based methods are presented and discussed that turned out to become important in research methodology. These are one-item-one-screen design, seriousness check, instruction manipulation and other attention checks, multiple site entry technique, subsampling technique, warm-up technique, and web-based measurement. Pitfalls and best practices are described then, especially regarding dropout and other non-response, recruitment of participants, and interaction between technology and psychological factors. The review concludes with a discussion of important concepts that have developed over 25 years and an outlook on future developments in web-based research.

Internet banking is constantly expanding in terms of content and functionality, and it has a significant impact on society. One goal of the Digital Agenda for Libya is to make Internet banking services available to all, reducing cash handling. Internet banking is a critical service that financial institutions provide to their customers in order to facilitate easier and faster access to financial services and transactions. Banks currently spend vast sums of money on the development and maintenance of websites and backend systems that provide clients with Internet banking services. Given the low accessibility of bank websites, evaluation and monitoring of the efficiency of those banking sites that offer the service are needed. The effect of moderating factors on online banking usability assessment in Libya is discussed here. As the Internet grows in popularity, banks are adopting technologies to create their own Web sites. The design of the website is an important factor in determining whether or not visitors will return to the site. Thus, the purpose of this study is to investigate the usability of the Internet banking Web sites of two main banks in Libya. The evaluation procedure is used in the World Wide Web environment to measure real data and obtain response time. To get results on the performance of a Web site, some data from the calculation of page size, composition, structure, and download time has been measured. In this study, a website performance evaluation tool, Dareboost, was used to evaluate the Bank of Commerce & Development website and Wahda Bank website. Dareboost has a- modern graphical user interface that is very easy and intuitive to use and gives a recommendations on how to improve the performance as the result. Based on the observation results, the Bank of Commerce & Development website received the highest score in most metrics. Therefore, the Bank of Commerce & Development website is the best in terms of usability.

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to investigate the role of new methods of mass communication (employing customer relationship management (CRM) software and web site) in the development of tourism industry in Iran. Design/methodology/approach – Data were collected from managers and experts of companies involving in tourism field in Iran through survey questionnaire. The SPSS 17 and LISREL 8 statistical programs were used for the data analysis. Findings – The results reveal that using CRM application is significantly correlated with the development of tourism industry. In addition, the findings indicated that using web site has a positive and significant relationship with the development of tourism. Research limitations/implications – As this study is limited to Iran and given cultural differences among various nations cautions should be taken in generalizability of the obtained results. Also, to better clarify the role of mass communication methods, it is recommended similar study in other countries to be carry out in order to be able to compare the results. Originality/value – To the best of knowledge of the authors this is the first endeavor toward the survey of the relationship and the effects of CRM application and internet advertisement on the development of tourism in the context of Iran. Also, the results obtained could act as a good guidance for Iranian tourism policy makers to make more effective decisions.

In order to reduce the increasing energy consumption for the domestic demands of existing single-family housing and take advantage of frequent building enlargements, this paper presents a methodology and supporting software tool for determining the optimal design configuration of an attic with integrated solar collectors. The analysis procedure is based on parametric modeling, energy simulation and the use of evolutionary algorithms for finding optimal designs. It has been implemented as a Web-platform for public use that provides users with a proposal of an attic shape with maximum solar energy collection, maximum living space and minimum construction envelope for each house according its size and orientation. The attic integrates PV, thermal and hybrid solar panels on one side of the roof. This paper describes the methodology and software design, assessment of the Web-platform usage and case-studies to verify its behavior. In a matter of minutes, the Web-platform enables users to select a specific attic design for each house that has integrated solar collectors that can produce energy to cover almost 100% of domestic energy consumption. The attics designed provide a nearly 30% increase in living space through the extension of one to four rooms, and the construction cost of the envelope is similar to that of a standard housing extension.

The article analyzes the adequacy of the cooperative form of socio-economic organization for the development of information technologies. Workers’ technological cooperatives were chosen as the subject of this study. The results of surveys of Stackoverflow.com site developers from 2015 to 2022 were used as the factual basis of the article. The sample size of respondents was 70 thousand developers, which made it possible to ensure the reliability of the author’s provisions and conclusions.The methodological basis of the work was the modern neoinstitutional theory, which gives two directions for research logic. Firstly, the authors were guided by the conceptual representation of classical institutionalism (not denied by the neoclassics) about the systemic quality of institutions, which, when applied to a cooperative organization, makes it possible to determine its exclusive properties relevant for integration into the information mainstream. And, secondly, the theoretical provisions of neo-institutionalism about the active role of individuals in the formation and development of institutions (in our case, cooperatives) were taken into account. Cooperators, seeking optimal forms and types of functioning of their enterprises, thereby create their adaptive potential to innovations in the field of information technology.To analyze the data of sociology, the authors used both general scientific and special research methods: static analysis and graphical visualization.The purpose of the article was to determine the compliance of cooperative associations with current trends in the promotion of information technology. IT cooperatives operate in a variety of types and industries: from web development to graphic design, web hosting, design and final production of complex technological products.Thus, the object of consideration of the authors of the article was the sphere of information and communication technologies, and the subject – cooperative processes in the IT sector.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to explore the managerial decision-making challenges of the use of data from online and offline customer data flooding into firms and managed through interactive dashboards. The paper provides insights into how managers within the hotel sector both manage and use the data as a core tool in discussions with finance managers/directors during negotiation on critical marketing investments. Design/methodology/approach The research design followed a multiple-case study design of five market-orientated hotels, which were selected as high performing data and dashboard users. Across each case company multiple informants were interviewed and shadowed, including marketing managers, general managers and finance managers/directors. There was also an in-depth investigation of the collection, dissemination and particularly use of traditional market research data and online data from social media sites, web sites and web and mobile analytics. This was augmented by a study of the customized, off site managed interactive databases, in use in all case companies. Findings This paper identifies managerial challenges experienced by general managers, marketing and financial managers using digital customer data. It investigated the power of the customer voice internally and found that unstructured qualitative data had greater visibility and usage once supported by a financial imperative. It also found that the use of interactive dashboards were a powerful manifestation of data technology use and increased marketing’s visibility, power and accountability within the firm. Research limitations/implications The paper provided a limited hotel perspective which impacts on generalizability. The findings should be tested quantitatively to ascertain their validity across a wider sector of businesses and operations. Though multiple site and cross-functional research adds value, one site might have provided more depth. Practical implications This paper reveals that managers need support in terms of time, resources and personnel to manage the flood of information into their organizations. It also suggested that general and marketing managers need to develop the skills to interpret the data for decision-making, so that the financial implications are understand. Originality/value Most social media studies within the hotel sector focus on the impact of social media reviews on consumer purchasing processes and/or on how managers communicate online with consumers. This paper takes an internal managerial perspective on data use for decision-making. This paper expands our understanding of marketing strategic decision-making through an in-depth exploration into how cross-functional decision-making uses contemporary customer data.

This research aims to produce a product in the form of learning media, namely web-based learning media with Google Sites as a site creation tool. A validation test was carried out to assess the feasibility and quality of the Google Sites web-based learning media for grade V elementary school science learning. This type of research is development research (R&D) with the ADDIE model, consisting of five steps: analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. Data collection techniques involve observation or observations, and questionnaires. The results of the validation test by two validators, namely the media expert validator obtained an average percentage value of 67.5%, interpreted into the feasible category, and the material expert validator obtained an average percentage value of 100% in the very feasible category. Students' responses to the media achieved 100% results in the very appropriate category. And the teacher's response to learning media received a percentage score of 100% in the very appropriate category. Based on the data that has been obtained, it can be concluded that the Google Sites web-based learning media for grade V elementary school science learning is suitable for use in learning activities.

This research conducted because of the lack of teaching materials in general subjects, especially science, at Adi Widya Pasraman. This research aims to develop science-teaching materials using the steam (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) approach to improve students learning outcomes at Adi Widya Pasraman. The method used in this research is Research and Development, with the ADDIE (analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation) approach. The stages in the ADDIE approach (analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation) namely needs analysis, designing teaching materials, developing teaching materials, implementation and evaluation. The teaching material product that will developed in this research is a Google web site, which can accessed via gadgets or computers. This research carried out at Adi Widya Pasraman in East Kolaka Data collection carried out through observation, interviews, tests, and questionnaires. Data analyzed using validation, evaluation, revision and implementation stages. The results of this research are in the form of needs analysis data, where students really need teaching materials in general learning, which can be accessed easily, and contain material that is adaptive to education at Adi Widya Pasraman, and is easy to implement for students. Based on the needs analysis and literature study carried out, the STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics) based science teaching materials at Adi Widya Pasraman are very feasible.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate the importance of exploiting a geographic information system (GIS)-based data management, designed and implemented for an important monumental site. In particular, data collected during the years have been used to create a storytelling experience to disseminate the tangible and intangible heritage of Chan Chan (Peru), the wider site in mud bricks of Latin America. Design/methodology/approach The paper discusses the steps that have been performed to use the data stored in a GIS, arguing over the importance of sharing the knowledge through web-based tools, and in particular by the implementation of a storytelling. In this context, the data were structured in interoperable forms in order to preserve the universal value of the archaeological site. The exploitation in an all-in-one solution of the archival research, field surveys and planning represents a step forward for let known ancient testimonies to the whole mankind. Findings The GIS-based inventories represent the backbone for an affordable management of heritage resources. The novelty of the proposed approach lies on the creation of an integrated, accessible and updatable data system sharable on web. Originality/value The GIS of Chan Chan is an example of documentation of a wide archaeological area (14 km2) with complex and heterogeneous data. The developed web tool makes use of these data which can be queried even by non-expert users. The pipeline of this paper can act as useful guidelines to practitioners and researchers who want to disseminate cultural information.

The chatbot is a manifestation of Artificial Intelligence that can replace humans in engaging in conversational interactions and providing information services to users or visitors. Chatbots generally interact through text messages, voice, images, and other mediums. In this study, a web-based chatbot application was developed for a journal website called the Journal of Multidisciplinary Issues, aiming to relieve site administrators from having to repeatedly answer the same visitor questions. The development of the chatbot application followed the Rapid Application Development method, involving several stages including planning, design, system development, implementation, and testing. The application was built using Google Dialogflow services, employing Natural Language Processing techniques, along with the integration feature called Dialogflow Messenger, which offers a wide range of response options for journal websites utilizing Open Journal Systems. The chatbot application was evaluated using Alpha and Closed Beta Testing methodologies, which yielded promising results. The chatbot demonstrated the ability to provide appropriate responses after being tested with various question scenarios, achieving a score of 85.25% in the questionnaire-based assessment, which aimed to gauge visitor perspectives on the developed chatbot application. Future research endeavors should focus on integrating the chatbot with popular social media platforms such as Facebook, WhatsApp, or LINE.

Solar and wind are the most abundant source of renewable energy. Investing to build this type of energy generation needs reliable and on-site data. Still, data are available on the internet based on predictions from the previous year. This study is an actual and real-time measurement and monitoring of solar and wind power to analyze the potential development of solar and wind energy harvesters on the island. The web-based tracking of solar and wind energy, a system that can monitor and, through data collected, will check solar and wind power feasibility. The study utilized the minicomputer raspberry pi as the central processing unit of the design. The development of the project study consists of six stages: the analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation, and communication. The developed system is tested as to usability using self-made questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive statistics. Also, data are plotted and analyzed the measured value of solar and wind energy in two locations in the Daywan Islands. Based on the data results, installing solar and wind energy in location 2 in Daywan Island, Claver, Surigao del Norte is feasible and efficient. Wind turbines have dominant and efficient power made compared to solar panels during nighttime. It will prove to the investors would make the assurance to invest in solar and wind energy. Background Health care practitioners (HPs), in particular general practitioners (GPs), are increasingly adopting Web-based social media platforms for continuing professional development (CPD). As GPs are restricted by time, distance, and demanding workloads, a health virtual community of practice (HVCoP) is an ideal solution to replace face-to-face CPD with Web-based CPD. However, barriers such as time and work schedules may limit participation in an HVCoP. Furthermore, it is difficult to gauge whether GPs engage actively or passively in HVCoP knowledge-acquisition for Web-based CPD, as GPs’ competencies are usually measured with pre- and posttests. Objective This study investigated a method for measuring the engagement features needed for an HVCoP (the Community Fracture Capture [CFC] Learning Hub) for learning and knowledge sharing among GPs for their CPD activity. Methods A prototype CFC Learning Hub was developed using an Igloo Web-based social media software platform and involved a convenience sample of GPs interested in bone health topics. This Hub, a secure Web-based community site, included 2 key components: an online discussion forum and a knowledge repository (the Knowledge Hub). The discussion forum contained anonymized case studies (contributed by GP participants) and topical discussions (topics that were not case studies). Using 2 complementary tools (Google Analytics and Igloo Statistical Tool), we characterized individual participating GPs’ engagement with the Hub. We measured the GP participants’ behavior by quantifying the number of online sessions of the participants, activities undertaken within these online sessions, written posts made per learning topic, and their time spent per topic. We calculated time spent in both active and passive engagement for each topic. Results Seven GPs participated in the CFC Learning Hub HVCoP from September to November 2017. The complementary tools successfully captured the GP participants’ engagement in the Hub. GPs were more active in topics in the discussion forum that had direct clinical application as opposed to didactic, evidence-based discussion topics (ie, topical discussions). From our knowledge hub, About Osteoporosis and Prevention were the most engaging topics, whereas shared decision making was the least active topic. Conclusions We showcased a novel complementary analysis method that allowed us to quantify the CFC Learning Hub’s usage data into (1) sessions, (2) activities, (3) active or passive time spent, and (4) posts made to evaluate the potential engagement features needed for an HVCoP focused on GP participants’ CPD process. Our design and evaluation methods for ongoing use and engagement in this Hub may be useful to evaluate future learning and knowledge-sharing projects for GPs and may allow for extension to other HPs’ environments. However, owing to the limited number of GP participants in this study, we suggest that further research with a larger cohort should be performed to validate and extend these findings.

It is also important what the opinions of those who use or see the page about this web service are. In the current age we live in, the rapid advancement of digital technology draws the attention of both consumers in their daily lives and business managers. Keeping up with the digital transformation process is believed to enhance their efficiency. The aim of the study is to determine the effect of the websites created by the companies in the health service marketing on the customer perception. In this context, the results obtained from 400 health consumers residing in Istanbul and benefiting from health services were analyzed by applying ANOVA and t-test, along with the structural equation model. Three of the hypotheses formed were accepted. As a general result, it has been accepted that the visual status of the website to be created, as well as its functionality, have an effect on customer perception. It has been concluded that the appropriately designed Web site has an effect on customer perception. In addition, this study will be able to form an idea about future research and studies.

Abstract Addressing the challenges in the current ship’s lifecycle design process, such as high difficulty in information sharing and complex installation of design environments, this study proposes a concept design of a ship 3D visualization platform based on digital twin technology. It constructs a web-based ship 3D visualization platform with an interactive interface of realism. The aim is to avoid cumbersome client-side programs and provide a method to showcase and interact with ship 3D models on web pages. This method not only reduces the threshold for ordinary users but also significantly enhances the work efficiency of professional designers. Following the model construction theory of digital twin platforms, it utilizes WebGL technology and the Three.js library to build ship 3D scenes, achieving ship 3D visualization. Functional interaction among modules is implemented using JavaScript, establishing the digital twin of the ship. Test results indicate that the proposed concept design of the ship 3D visualization platform can preliminarily fulfill the basic requirements of achieving ship 3D display, rendering, and interaction on web platforms. The proposed method can support the development of ship online collaborative design systems based on front-end internet technologies.

However, manual watering must always be done at any time, which is time-consuming for farmers. Greenhouses with modern technology create automatic controls such as plant sprinklers. Thus, the time spent on watering plants is less than the manual system. In addition, farmers can save water which has been wasted all this time because they do not know the condition of water requirements for plants. An automatic plant watering system with a DHT 22 sensor is used to control the greenhouse environment. With the development of the internet almost all over the world, giving changes to daily human activities. Internet of Things (IoT) technology allows objects to connect and communicate with each other. In this fertigation control device, IOT connects sensor devices and solenoid valves to be monitored via the internet network. IoT is built with the ESP8266 module which allows access via the internet. The hardware design uses a microcontroller as a control method. The data is then sent online to an open-source site that acts as a web server. The web server is used for controlling and monitoring data accessed via the internet. The conclusion of this tool is that the system can do watering automatically. The system can do watering automatically, greater than the humidity temperature of 30 and humidity of less than 90%. So that the condition of the plants can be maintained properly. The system can be controlled with a WIFI network through the Blynk application. Can display the status of humidity, temperature and humidity conditions on the LCD and the Blynk application. Can be controlled from anywhere and anytime.

Many of the products we use in our daily lives, ranging from smartphones to web servers to cars, are based on a significant amount of open-source software. This approach has enabled standardization and rapid innovation in the tech industry. However, energy storage systems are typically not standardized in terms of components or software, leading to replicated development efforts across companies and significant balance of system costs. This talk will explore various efforts to publicly release data, software, and hardware to accelerate the development of energy storage systems. Examples include Battery Archive, the first public site for sharing battery data across institutions; control software for hybrid-batteries, available on GitHub; and a standard rack design for operating new batteries. These efforts will be described in the context of the need for physics-model driven battery operation and control of different types of batteries. Purpose The purpose of this paper is to analyse site managers’ ICT preferences for monitoring resource use in refurbishment projects. Design/methodology/approach Information and communication technologies (ICT) developments for the construction industry are increasing the scope for more efficient planning and monitoring of refurbishment projects. The analysis is based on the unified theory of acceptance and the use of technology model. After a short initial survey, a Swedish web/postal questionnaire has received 78 responses from refurbishment site managers, implying a 34 per cent response rate. Findings Managerial choices related to ICT depend more on perceived performance expectancy than on effort expectancy. Large projects and larger firms are associated with more extensive ICT use. Site managers see little need to link to refurbishment clients’ ICT systems. Performance expectancy and age are found to influence ICT choices. Practical implications Site managers play a crucial role in everyday use of ICT tools in the construction industry. The outcome of this investigation is useful for developing digital support, including applications of building information modelling, to improve refurbishment site practices. Originality/value Much has been written about ICT support for new construction practices, but not much attention has been paid to refurbishment site managers’ media choices.

The implementation of intelligent technologies in industrial horticulture is possible with the help of an automated system for managing production processes. (Research purpose) To develop and substantiate the parameters of an automated management system for agricultural technologies in horticulture with the ability to conduct land inspections using a mobile application. (Materials and methods) ADO.NET driver Npqsql was used for work with the database. Dapper was used as Object Relational Mapping. The web application used the Model View Controller design pattern, and Bootstrap as the css framework. Data visualization from the database was carried out using cloud technology, placing the site using a set of Internet Information Services. Jquery (a set of JavaScript functions) served as the main framework for working with the client-side of the program code. The authors also used the PostgreSql database management system. The mobile application was created in the Android studio integrated environment. (Results and discussion) The authors developed an automated system for managing agricultural technologies. They formed the structure of the hardware and software base. They created the system ability to operate in a dialogue mode with the user through forms, based on the algorithm for choosing the optimal options for technological processes in the horticultural products production. A mobile application was implemented to conduct digital land inspections. They determined the procedure for conducting land inspections by agronomists using a mobile application. (Conclusions) The authors developed a system for the automated technologies formation and management in horticulture, which provided operational processing of information flows in real time, reflecting the characteristics of the plants’ growth and state in critical phases of development. They provided modern recording devices and a mobile application operation. They showed that the system automatically optimized machine technologies for the cultivation of horticultural crops according to biological (realization of the potential biological productivity of crops) and economic (increasing the efficiency of using production resources) criteria.

From the complexities of user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design to the thoughtful analysis of essential qualities for our online store, every facet has been meticulously examined to ensure that the platform prioritizes user involvement, seamless navigation, and efficient communication channels. A detailed study is done to analyse the drawbacks of using marketplaces instead of self-owned sites for small scale business. This work shed light on the processes that went into the creation of a website. Additionally, it provides a thorough analysis of the architecture, Technology, and system's functionality. Facebook News Feed that uses React for dynamic contents, react.js allows for efficient updates to the news feed in real-time without having to reload the entire page. while in LinkedIn Mobile its mobile app uses AngularJS for front-end development. Very limited amount of research work done till date explores the issue of web strategy in web site evaluation, and none includes web strategy in their evaluation frameworks. Citing above problem, a strategic framework was adopted to ensure consistency and provide an efficient solution. AngularJS provides a structured framework for building dynamic and responsive user interfaces. For the use case - MERN Stack website, the Largest Contentful Paint comes as 3.8 sec, First Input Delay comes as 20 milli-sec and cumulative layout shifts come with no delay. These scores provide suggestions for improving various aspects of performance, such as optimizing images, leveraging browser caching, and minimizing render-blocking resources.

Abstract Background.—The Group for Research in Pathology Education (GRIPE) is an organization of pathology educators whose purpose is to promote and facilitate excellence in pathology education. One important function of GRIPE is the maintenance of image and multiple-choice test question data banks. These resources have recently been made available online via the GRIPE Digital Library Web site. The purpose of the GRIPE Digital Library project was to develop an online searchable database that would facilitate access to the GRIPE resources for pathology education. Design.—The GRIPE image bank—containing approximately 3000 peer-reviewed gross and microscopic pathologic images along with textual descriptions—was linked with the GRIPE test question bank using Gossamer Thread's DBMan Web database management program. The search and display templates create a functional user interface that integrates images, image descriptions, and test questions into a single online digital library. Using any Web browser, faculty can access the GRIPE Digital Library and search for images and/or test items that can be used in teaching. Results.—In the first 18 months (February 2000 through July 2001), users at 40 GRIPE member institutions signed up and used the GRIPE Digital Library to perform more than 6000 individual searches and view more than 37 500 images. These digital images were used to produce lectures and laboratory modules that were posted on Web pages and made available to students remotely. Conclusions.—The GRIPE Digital Library provides a unique resource that can facilitate development of educational materials for pathology instruction and helps to fulfill the educational mission of GRIPE.

The growth of frameworks for web application development is very rapid, especially on the back side (server) of web development or what is commonly called the backend. Several programming languages ​​offer frameworks that have their own advantages, such as the Python programming language which offers a web application development framework, namely Django. It is equipped with the fast development, fast processing, and scalability. The data collection process was carried out by researching several related sources regarding the modules in the Django framework. The research process was carried out by finding sources of information about the Django framework to support the design of the Torche Education class registration application. Sources of information are collected to become a reference for application development. The Torche Education class registration application was built during the internship process at the company as it is concerned with developing the application according to predetermined working hours. It started by conducting research on the modules in the Django framework for developing registration applications and then followed by implementing the framework and integrating the application into several platforms such as Google Drive, Discord, and Gmail. Based on the application development above, the backend framework technology has been implemented in Python programming, namely Django. The results and benefits of the research can be useful for facilitating related parties in the process of recruiting students for class registration and making it easier for users to get fast information.

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to present a development to the hardware and software of a real-time tracking system that provides the position of the tracked vehicle accurately using fairly low-cost equipment and services. Vehicle tracking industries are expanding as businesses are interested to know their fleet vehicles positions minute by minute every day. Many systems were proposed recently that can provide such information. Design/methodology/approach – The system is implemented using GM862 cellular quad band module. A monitoring server and a graphical user interface on a Web site have also been implemented to view the current location of a vehicle on a specific map. Findings – The experiments were conducted and tested in different areas of the Kingdom Of Bahrain using Google maps, and results are discussed. Originality/value – The developed system has been compared to the available and imported tracking systems to some of the telematics companies in Bahrain, and the comparison has been discussed.

The final result of this research is a prototype of a login system using NodeMcu and RFID technology as a security alternative to a system on web.

Increasing demands on user interface (UI) usability, adaptability, and dynamic behavior drives ever-growing development and maintenance complexity. Traditional UI design techniques result in complex descriptions for data presentations with significant information restatement. In addition, multiple concerns in UI development leads to descriptions that exhibit concern tangling, which results in high fragment replication. Concern-separating approaches address these issues; however, they fail to maintain the separation of concerns for execution tasks like rendering or UI delivery to clients. During the rendering process at the server side, the separation collapses into entangled concerns that are provided to clients. Such client-side entanglement may seem inconsequential since the clients are simply displaying what is sent to them; however, such entanglement compromises client performance as it results in problems such as replication, fragment granularity ill-suited for effective caching, etc. This paper considers advantages brought by concern-separation from both perspectives. It proposes extension to the aspect-oriented UI design with distributed concern delivery (DCD) for client-server applications. Such an extension lessens the serverside involvement in UI assembly and reduces the fragment replication in provided UI descriptions. The server provides clients with individual UI concerns, and they become partially responsible for the UI assembly. This change increases client-side concern reuse and extends caching opportunities, reducing the volume of transmitted information between client and server to improve UI responsiveness and performance. The underlying aspect-oriented UI design automates the server-side derivation of concerns related to data presentations adapted to runtime context, security, conditions, etc. Evaluation of the approach is considered in a case study applying DCD to an existing, production web application. Our results demonstrate decreased volumes of UI descriptions assembled by the server-side and extended client-side caching abilities, reducing required data/fragment transmission, which improves UI responsiveness. Furthermore, we evaluate the potential benefits of DCD integration implications in selected UI frameworks.

Komnas HAM is one of the government agencies, which is directly related to the provision of public information to the public, requiring an information system for the process of providing this information flow. The public is allowed to submit requests for data, such as data on complaints of cases that have occurred, for which information is needed. Currently the process of requesting data is still being carried out by the public coming directly to fill out the data request form, then it will be processed by the relevant section at Komnas HAM, after the data request is approved, the requested complaint data document will be sent via POS. This system still has weaknesses, because the applicant's side cannot monitor the progress of the data application process whether it is approved or not, the applicant is only asked to wait and if the document is sent by post, the application is approved. This Web-Based Smartmaps Complaint Data Application Information System can be a solution, to facilitate the process of requesting data requested by the public. This system was designed by applying the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method in the system design stage, and the system will be built using the programming language PHP 7.3, MySQL 5.7, Nginx and PHP-FPM 7.4, Laravel 7 Framework and Bootstrap Template Design 4.0. This system, after testing using blackbox testing in its application, is proven to have provided convenience and the best service to people who have an interest in complaint data.

Cette recherche utilise des méthodes de développement de la recherche ou Recherche et Développement (R&D). Les étapes ont commencé par la collecte de données réalisée par l'analyse des besoins et la réalisation d'entretiens avec les enseignants du cours de Français du Tourisme, la conception et la du matériel réalisation d’apprentissage sous forme d'animations imprimées et vidéo, et la validation du matériel d'apprentissage auprès d'expert et spécialiste du média. L'instrument de collecte des données de se présentait sous la forme d'une fiche d'évaluation pour le validateur. Les techniques d'analyse des données dans cette étude ont utilisé l'analyse du contenu et l'analyse des pourcentages. Les résultats de cette étude indiquent que le matériel d'apprentissage développés à l'aide du site Web Doratoon sont déclarés aptes à être utilisés comme matériel d'apprentissage dans le cours de Français du Tourisme. Les résultats du test de validation par les experts en matériaux étaient de 85 % dans la catégorie (bien) et les résultats du test de validation des médias étaient de 94 % dans la catégorie (très bien). This study aims to develop learning materials for Français du Toursime course on the theme "Les Spécialites Gastronomiques Régionales" using the Doratoon web and to determine the feasibility of the developed learning materials. This research uses research development or Research and Development (R&D) methods. The stages of this study began with the collection of data carried out by the analysis of needs and the carrying out of interviews with the teachers of Français du Toursime course, the design and production of learning material in the form of animations print and video, and validation of learning material with expert and media validators.

Introduction. The definition of the Digital Transformation Index for Business Structures is extremely relevant in terms of digitizing the global economy. A digital platform that would serve as an information base for domestic business entities will foster the creation of an appropriate eco-culture for digital maturity determination, create healthy competition between businesses to compare Index results, promote digital literacy for business owners and, accordingly, human capital organizations. Methods. The basic methods of research are based on general and empirical methods of economic science, based on a systematic approach. Modern JavaScript technologies have been used to design and implement the core functionality of the platform, namely React, an open JavaScript library to create user interfaces that addresses the problems of partially updating the content of a web page encountered in one-page application development. In addition, several assistive technologies and libraries were used: Firebase - to access the database; Chartist - to display graphs; Formik - to create forms; React-router - for web site navigation; Yup - for validation. Results. The substantiation of the need to design and develop a digital platform that would automate the process of data collection, processing and automatic determination of the Index of digital transformation of business structures were described in the article. The main blocks of the questionnaire are structured for the effective functioning of the questionnaire algorithm and data collection. The basic user requirements that the platform must meet are described. The main technologies and libraries that were used to develop the appropriate digital platform are characterised. Discussion. Future versions of the survey will reflect the findings with a large number of respondents. It is only when a large amount of data is received on the platform will apply cluster analysis techniques to group enterprises into appropriate clusters and make appropriate group recommendations. Timely and correct analysis of the process of visiting Internet resources, which led to the overall conversion of e-business, is fundamental and relevant for successfully managing the website. Appropriate, accurate traffic analysis, which brings both successful and unsuccessful conversions, will identify the cause of the impact on conversion metrics and criteria and will measure the effectiveness of changes made to the site to increase traffic conversions. It is necessary to collect information on the activities of system users on the website and determine specific performance indicators of the website to improve e-business strategy further to solve these problems and achieve the relevant goals of e-commerce. Thus, it is necessary to develop and implement an analytical method of text content support for e-commerce Internet resources based on the analysis of key performance indicators of the website, paying particular attention to determining the set of relevant and relevant keywords used by regular users and led to an increase in e-business conversions. Objective of the study is to develop a technology for promoting Internet resources of e-commerce based on the results of Web-analytics of critical indicators of pages as KPI and KSI through forming a relevant set of keywords as feedback activity of a regular audience. Method. An analytical method for promoting Internet resources based on the analysis of key performance indicators of the website, which is based on three main algorithms аlgorithm for identifying problem areas of the site structure for further optimization, аlgorithm for optimizing search engine marketing activities (SEM), аlgorithm for site promotion and calculation of its efficiency. General recommendations for the design of information resources processing systems have been developed, different from the existing ones, by the presence of additional modules that significantly affect promoting the website on the Internet to further the success of ecommerce or improve the values of these indicators. Among them is the module of online shopping, marketing, module-copywriter and Web-master. For each of them, calculate their own KRI. It will allow you to effectively implement the processing of information resources at the level of system developers (reducing resources and time for development, improving the quality of information processing systems). Results. The paper develops and describes in detail, based on the results of Web-analytics, the parameters and criteria for assessing the level of success of e-business. Software tools for monitoring the textual content of Internet resources based on the analysis of key performance indicators of the website have also been developed. For a detailed analysis of the functioning and promotion of Internet ecommerce systems such as Internet newspaper and Internet magazine, 12 different methods have been developed and implemented, respectively, with support for each of them with a different number of stages of the content life cycle. A computer experiment of analysis of key performance indicators of the website was conducted. The service of keeping statistics of visits to the Web resource allows you to estimate the increase in sales of textual content in direct proportion to the rise in the number of visits to the Web resource, the number of regular users, the prospects of marketing activities. Conclusions. It was found that the presence of appropriate modules in the systems of information resources processing increases the sales of textual content to the regular user by 9%, active involvement of unique visitors, potential users and expanding the target and regional audience by 11%, viewed pages by 12%, resources by 7%.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to examine the potential to use infographics to capture, represent and communicate important information to construction designers, such that it improves their ability to understand the implications of design choices for construction workers’ health and safety. Design/methodology/approach Drawing on information obtained through a photographic Q-sort, supplemented with a literature review, health and safety information related to the design of a façade was collected from subject matter experts. This information was used to develop infographics representing the subject matter knowledge. A facilitated workshop was then held with 20 design professionals to engage them in a hazard identification process using a case study scenario. The designers were provided with the infographics and asked to comment upon how the infographics changed their assessments of the health and safety risks inherent in the case study building design. A sub-set of participants was interviewed to explore their perceptions of the impact and usefulness of the inforgraphics. Findings Infographics were developed at different levels of detail, representing potential health and safety issues associated with the site location and surroundings, the construction site environment and the detailed façade design. Workshop participants identified a number of potential health and safety issues associated with the case study scenario. However, this number increased substantially once they had viewed the infographic. Further, the health and safety issues identified when participants had access to the infographic were more likely to be less visible issues, relating to ergonomic hazards, procurement or the organisation and sequencing of work. The workshop participants who were interviewed described how the infographics enabled them to make a more global assessment of the health and safety implications of the case study building design because it helped them to understand the design in the physical construction site context. Participants also favoured the visual nature of the infographics and suggested that this format may be particularly useful to communicate important health and safety information to novice designers with limited on-site experience. Research limitations/implications The infographics developed in this research were relatively simple two-dimensional representations produced and presented in hard copy format. It is possible that more sophisticated forms of infographic could have produced different results. Thus, it is important that future research develops different types of infographics and rigorously evaluates their effectiveness in developing designers’ health and safety-related knowledge and improving decision making. Practical implications The results indicate that simple infographics can help design professionals to better understand the health and safety implications of design decisions in the context of the construction site environment. In particular, the infographics appear to have increased designers’ ability to recognize less visible health and safety-related issues. The designers interviewed also described the potential usefulness of the infographics in design workshops as a tool to stimulate discussion and develop a shared understanding of the health and safety aspects of a particular design decision or choice. Originality/value The value of the research lies in the development and evaluation of infographics as a tool supports the integration of health and safety into design decision making. The potential to develop these tools into digital or web-based resources is also significant.

Penerimaan Peserta Didik Baru merupakan langkah awal dalam manajemen pelayanan sekolah kepada masyarakat dalam dunia pendidikan. Bagaimana sebuah sekolah melakukan promosi produk dan sekaligus pelayanan prima diawali dari penerimaan peserta didik, selanjutnya siswa/orangtua mendapatkan akses portal. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode waterfall dalam melakukan rancang bangun sistem informasi penerimaan pesrta didik baru, metode watefall adalah suatu metode yang merupakan perancangan System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), dimana perancangan diawali dengan requirement, design, implementation, verification, dan maintenance. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi lapangan, wawancara, dan studi literature. PHP (HyperText Markup Language) merupakan bahasa pemograman berbasis website bersifat server side, yang berarti kode program PHP diproses seluruhnya didalam web server. MySQL merupakan bahasa yang memiliki kemampuan cukup baik untuk menunjang kerja para developer, baik User yang sudah berpengalaman dengan database maupun untuk pemula. Pada penelitian ini calon atau orang tua siswa dapat melakukan pendaftaran peserta didik baru dengan cara online.

"The article is devoted to the development of a software platform for load balancing in a distributed system of group mutual support for the implementation of current tasks, approaches to visualizing progress and factors influencing the achievement of goals are determined. A comparative analysis of existing assistance services has been carried out. The basic requirements for the logical and functional components of the service being developed and the software for its implementation are substantiated. The architecture of the service being developed is designed, the structure of the personal profile of a user who has problems in terms of motivation, goal setting and planning is determined. A system of automatic selection of users, a calendar of tasks, a system of messaging has been developed. The programmatic result of the work is a web application with load balancing functionality. The developed web application consists of client and server parts and uses public cloud services. The purpose of the work is to develop a distributed system of service for group mutual support for performing personal tasks in the format of a web application using technologies for horizontal scaling of the load from the server side, and the development of the client part in the format of a single-page web application SPA (Single Page Application). The objectives of the research are to conduct a comparative analysis of modern software and instrumental platforms, to determine approaches to visualizing progress in setting up a group mutual support service and factors affecting the achievement of goals. Also, the main tasks should be noted the design of the architecture of the service being developed, the definition of the structure of the user's personal profile, the development of a subsystem for automatic selection of users, a calendar of tasks, a messaging subsystem, as well as the development of web applications, consisting of a client part in the form of SPA and distributed server software with load balancing functionality. To scale the software system, a preliminary division into separate microservices with their subsequent containerization was carried out, and a distributed architecture with placement schemes was designed."

Along with the development of technology, most cafes have used technology in business processes to simplify the ordering and service process. Currently La Banca cafe is still using a manual system, where food and beverage orders still use paper and pencil, so there are frequent recording errors, duplicate orders, random orders, resulting in the ordering process being slow and irregular. Therefore, an android-based food and beverage ordering system will be built. The method used is the prototype method. Interview technique is used to obtain system requirements specifications. This application is built using the MySQL database, the PHP programming language on the web side, and the Java programming language on the Android side. In addition, the system design process uses UML diagrams. Therefore, it is hoped that the application that is built can facilitate the process of ordering food and drinks from customers to the waitress to the kitchen and make it easier for leaders to monitor business processes that occur online. Based on the results of blackbox testing, both on the web and on the android side, we get the appropriate results between the input given and the output generated.
