This contemporary author, who made the Limousin Occitan his only language of writing, addressed various literary genres : fantastic short stories, «nhòrlas» [funny short stories], cape and sword novels, detective novels, not to mention a form of poetry in prose that outcrops in many texts. Under its apparent diversity, this work is very consistent because of its themes, its images, and its recurring « biais de dire » [ways of saying]. It can be read at multiple levels and opens up very different possibilities of interpretation depending on the point of view adopted, interpretations that cross and enrich each other. Haunted by the questions of death, of the omnipresent violence and of the world’s absurdity, both as a man and by his profession as a doctor, Ganhaire, like many authors of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries, opposes them laught and derision like an ultimate snub. His work is a tribute to the imaginative limousin world, in close relationship with nature, which he felt imbued from childhood. No ambiente esportivo experiências de sucesso ou de fracasso são frequentemente vivenciadas por diferentes indivíduos nos mais variados ambientes. Tentar explicar como um indivíduo lida com a vitória ou a derrota em termos comportamentais, vai depender de uma série de fatores, incluindo história do atleta, situação em que ele se encontra (ambiente), aptidão (capacidade de desempenho) e maturidade esportiva (experiência). O objetivo geral da tese foi sistematizar um modelo teórico sobre os determinantes do vencer e perder no judô, para tal buscou-se verificar (através de análise documental), se resultados de lutas anteriores são determinantes para a manutenção de vitórias e/ou derrotas subsequentes; em sequência o estudo analisou o judô a partir de uma situação de competição buscando descrever em tempo real, possíveis interações quantitativas e qualitativas da luta. De acordo com o delineamento deste estudo, evidenciou-se que a aptidão (capacidade de desempenho relacionada a luta), aliada à maturidade esportiva do atleta (experiência na modalidade) foram os fatores que mais potencializaram o processo de ganhar ou perder. Tal afirmação se sustenta baseada nos resultados dos artigos publicados a partir da construção da tese, ou seja, esportes determinam e condicionam características morfofuncionais que estão relacionadas com demandas do ambiente esportivo; experiências anteriores dos atletas (vitória ou derrota) podem determinar resultados subsequentes mesmo que em um pequeno espaço de tempo; o tempo de treinamento e os fatores morfofuncionais são fortes determinantes para o resultado das lutas. Tais dados corroboram e sinalizam, que a treinabilidade parece ser um dos fatores que diferencia vencedores e perdedores nos resultados obtidos neste estudo.
In the sports environment experiences of success or failure are often experienced by different individuals in the most varied environments. Attempting to explain how an individual deals with victory or defeat in behavioral terms will depend on a number of factors, including athlete's history, status (environment), fitness (ability to perform), and athletic maturity). The general objective of the thesis was to systematize a theoretical model about the determinants of winning and losing in judo. For this purpose, we sought to verify (through documentary analysis) if results of previous fights are decisive for the maintenance of subsequent victories and / or defeats; in sequence the study analyzed judo from a competition situation seeking to describe in real time, possible quantitative and qualitative interactions of the fight. According to the design of this study, it was evidenced that the ability (performance related to fight), allied to athlete's athletic maturity (experience in the modality) were the factors that most potentiated the process of winning or losing. This assertion is based on the results of articles published from the construction of the thesis, that is, sports determine and condition morphofunctional characteristics that are related to the demands of the sports environment; Athletes' previous experiences (victory or defeat) can determine subsequent results even in a short space of time; The training time and the morphofunctional factors are strong determinants for the outcome of the fights. These data corroborate and signal that the trainability seems to be one of the factors that differentiates winners and losers in the results obtained in this study.

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleStudies in creative industries represent a rich contribution to the strategy-as-practice approach. As a symbolic-intensive industry, organizations within adopt diffuse strategies that try to conciliate economic and non-economic logics, as these last ones assure their legitimacy and survival in the field. The symbolic field, however, is volatile and its control by organizations is virtually impossible. This is why organization try, in one hand, to interpret their ambient and, on the other hand, to influence it through their strategies. Thus, in this type of industry, a sociological approach in strategy seems more adequate to understand actions by agents within this field as a whole, not only, on its instrumental aspects. This dissertation investigates discourses and practices embedded in the social context of the Brazilian book publishing industry, through a longitudinal study of secondary data which adopts an altered version for strategy of the discursive model of institutionalization as a structure of analysis. The main objective of this research is to understand how discourses and practices articulate in a field where legitimacy rules follow an anti-economic logic and where economic results are not always the organizations’ only objective. This work assumes a concept f strategic orientation that is described as a predisposition of a certain organization to adopt one or other strategy, revealed through its organization discourses and practice that are indicative of a reflexive interpretation of its environmental context. Content analysis was the methodology of choice to interpret Brazilian book publishers’ environmental context, in its institutional and technical aspects, and its strategic orientations, revealed through texts and actions presented in clipping news collected at publishnews.com.br for three years. In face of the analyses conducted, the following results were achieved. Firstly, discourses and practices effectively allowed description of both environmental context and strategic orientations in this industry. From a theoretical perspective, it was confirmed that discourses are an integral part of publishers’ strategic orientations, always articulating with practices. Even though dissonance between them was seemingly apparent, it revealed itself dissimulated when in context. The more symbolic are the desired results, the more relevant and more present are discourses as part of strategy. In this industry, strategic orientations dialogue more with the institutional that with the technical environmental since it is within institutional contexts that organizations can acquire market differentiation through by-products such as legitimation, mystification and consecration. Publishers also strategically orient themselves more intensively towards gatekeepers than toward and consumers. Gatekeepers, as main producers of by-products, allow chosen publishers to attract the rarest resources (authors and human resources), which are fundamental for surviving in a symbolic-intensive industry. From a practical sense, the use of this framework showed that strategic dichotomy between small and large publishers is a simplistic way of seeing strategic groups, ignoring fundamental choices that escape economic logic. Analyses also brought up that elements of an archaic vision of capitalism are very much still present in Brazilian market, embedded in the strategic orientations of a large number of publishers, in examples such as an excessive demand for federal government responsibility in developing the market, and texts overmystifying and overemphasizing the importance of the book universe. Publishers whose orientations presented themselves as opposite to that view achieved success in developing new markets. Finally, this dissertation would place under serious doubts available economic data on this industry, frequently uses to justify public investment and demands, but that do not hold itself up under the realities here exposed.
O estudo das indústrias de criação representam uma rica contribuição para a abordagem da estratégia como prática. Por se tratar de um ramo industrial simbólico-intensivo, as organizações nele inseridas adotam estratégias difusas que buscam conciliar lógicas tanto econômicas quanto não-econômicas, pois estas últimas são aquelas que garantem sua legitimidade e sobrevivência no campo. O universo simbólico, por sua vez, é volátil e cujo controle, por parte das organizações, é virtualmente impossível. Neste tipo de indústria, a abordagem sociológica em estratégia parece mais adequada para se compreender as ações dos agentes do campo organizacional em seu todo, não somente em seus aspectos instrumentais. Esta dissertação aborda os discursos e práticas imersos no contexto social do ramo editorial, por meio de um estudo longitudinal de dados secundários que adota uma versão adaptada para a estratégia do modelo discursivo de institucionalização como estrutura de análise. O objetivo principal da pesquisa era compreender como se articulam discursos e práticas num campo onde as regras de legitimação seguem uma lógica anti-econômica e onde os resultados econômicos nem sempre são o objetivo único das organizações. Adotou-se o conceito de orientação estratégica como a predisposição de uma organização para adotar uma ou outra estratégia, revelada por meio dos discursos e práticas organizacionais indicativos da interpretação reflexiva dada pelas organizações a seu contexto ambiental. Com base em dados coletados durante cerca de 3 anos pelo site de clipping de notícias do setor editorial Publishnews, foi utilizada uma metodologia de análise de conteúdo para interpretar o contexto ambiental, em suas facetas institucional e técnica, e as orientações estratégicas das editoras brasileiras, reveladas a partir dos textos e ações públicas presentes nas notícias. Em face das análises realizadas, constataram-se os resultados a seguir. Primeiramente, foi possível a descrição tanto do contexto ambiental como das orientações estratégicas por meio dos discursos e práticas. Do ponto de vista teórico, confirmou-se que os discursos são parte integral das orientações estratégicas das editoras, se articulando com as práticas, mesmo com aparentes dissonâncias entre elas, que se mostraram na verdade dissimuladas. Os discursos, como parte da estratégia, se apresentavam mais relevantes e mais utilizados quanto mais simbólicos fossem os objetivos a serem alcançados. Também se comprovou que, neste tipo de ramo, as orientações estratégicas dialogam mais com o ambiente institucional do que com o ambiente técnico, pois é no primeiro que podem ser obtidas as diferenciações de mercado, por meio de sub-produtos como legitimidade, mistificação ou consagração. As editoras também se orientam estrategicamente com mais intensidade sobre os chamados gatekeepers do que sobre seu mercado consumidor final, pois os primeiros é que garantem, ao gerar sub-produtos, a atração dos recursos mais raros (autores e recursos humanos), fundamentais para a sobrevivência num ramo simbólico-intensivo. Do ponto de vista prático, o uso da ferramenta metodológica proposta revelou que a dicotomia estratégica entre pequenas e grandes editoras é uma forma simplista de ver grupos estratégicos, ignorando estratagemas fundamentais que fogem à lógica econômica. A análise também mostrou traços de uma visão capitalista arcaica dominante no mercado nacional, arraigada em boa parte das editoras, ressaltada pelo excesso de demandas e delegação de responsabilidades ao Governo Federal, e da mistificação e valorização excessiva do universo livreiro. Editoras cujas orientações se mostravam opostas a estas obtiveram sucesso em criar novos mercados. Finalmente a dissertação coloca em dúvida os dados econômicos disponíveis sobre o mercado, freqüentemente usados como justificativa para políticas e demandas públicas, mas que parecem não se sustentar de forma alguma na realidade.

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe purpose of this study is to analyse mediation work carried out in visual art expositions in Porto Alegre City between 2003 and 2005. The figure of mediator, thought traditionally as a “guide” which leads groups of visitors in an exposition has gained more visibility in our country, because of recently increasing artistic events addressed to big and layman public in arts. Through ethnographies of mediators formation courses and activities of mediation teams in three important local culture institutions – 4th and 5th Bienal do Mercosul, Museu de Arte Rio do Grande do Sul Ado Malagoli and Santander Cultural – we can show the existence of a general understanding of how these actions should be, although there´s no a single model of initiative, as well as there is always a set of resources and techniques available to the mediator to make public closer to art. We show also that this general understanding of mediation links to prevailing narrative in institutions analysed: narrative peculiar to contemporary art. Many values, notions and references of contemporary art constitute themselves as principles of what is currently thought as mediation, in opposition to traditional figure of the guide. To research activities of mediation carried out in contemporary artistic scenario was a way to discuss broad issues particular to this context – as conceptions of art, pleasure etc. – through real and specific examples.

A agressão e um comportamento que envolve uma ativação simultânea de componentes fisiológicos, bioquímicos, neurológicos e comportamentais e emoções, como ansiedade e raiva. Nos seres humanos, os esportes podem ser considerados como uma forma de display, pois permitem que a agressão seja expressada com uma baixa probabilidade de danos permanentes para os sujeitos. As competições tem sido usadas como modelos para avaliar a ativação produzida pelas diferentes fases de competição, tal como o resultado do combate. O judô tem sido utilizado como um modelo de agressão competitiva para avaliar as diferentes respostas corporais nos comportamentos agonisticos em seres humanos, pois oferece um contexto semelhante aos estudados nas lutas em animais. O objetivo do presente estudo foi avaliar o efeito do ganhar/perder nos níveis de raiva e ansiedade em lutadores de judô regional, do sexo masculino, vinculados a federação paraense de Judô, utilizando as escalas psicométricas STAXI e IDATE, assim como fazer uma comparação destes resultados com a população geral brasileira e uma análise de correlação para conhecer as diferenças entre os diferentes componentes com o numero de golpes, utilizando uma avaliação pré e pós lutas e a filmagens das lutas. Se encontraram diferenças entre vencedores e perdedores, assim como entre lutadores e a população brasileira; os perdedores apresentaram maiores níveis de raiva, enquanto que a ansiedade foi maior para os vencedores.
Aggression is a behavior that involves a simultaneous activation of physiological, biochemical, neurological and behavioral components and emotions, such as anxiety and anger. In humans, sports can be considered as a form of display because they allow aggression to be expressed with a low probability of permanent damage to subjects. The competitions have been used as models to evaluate the activation produced by the different stages of competition, such as the outcome of the combat. Judo has been used as a model of competitive aggression to evaluate the different body responses in agonistic behaviors in humans, since it offers a context like those studied in animal fights. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of win / lose in the levels of anger and anxiety in regional judo fighters, male, linked to the Para Federation of Judo, Using the STAXI and IDATE psychometric scales, as well as comparing these results with the Brazilian general population and a correlation analysis to know the differences between the different components with the number of strokes, using a pre/post fight evaluation and the filming of the fights. Differences were found between winners and losers, as well as between fighters and the Brazilian population; The losers presented higher levels of anger, while the anxiety was greater for the winners.

O objetivo da presente tese, é analisar três hotéis resorts da região da grande Florianópolis, e verificar se possuem estratégias de orientação para o mercado como forma de ganhar vantagem competitiva e qual a influência que isso pode ter no desempenho da organização. Nesse sentido foram pesquisados na revisão bibliográficos aspectos que estivessem relacionados com estratégias de marketing, orientação para o mercado, estratégias empresariais, relacionamentos com clientes e mudanças ambientais, que permitissem melhor explicar as variáveis geração de inteligência, disseminação de inteligência e resposta à inteligência de mercado. Esta pesquisa teve um caráter exploratório e descritivo e adotou como procedimento o estudo multicaso, procurando abordar o problema de forma qualitativa. As evidências do presente estudo foram coletadas através de documentos, entrevistas com questionário estruturado e observação direta. O roteiro das entrevistas foi composto por questões abertas, sendo que as entrevistas e questionário foram aplicados junto aos gerentes e diretores da empresa, onde o objetivo foi identificar as estratégias de marketing de orientação para o mercado e sua respectiva vantagem competitiva. O resultado da pesquisa demonstrou que das três empresas pesquisada uma apresenta um esforço no sentido de alinhar sua estrutura com o mercado, abandonando a hierarquização tradicional e, tentando definir uma proposta de orientação para o mercado. Outra empresa, ainda está com sua cultura muito apegada ao modo tradicional de gerenciar, com uma administração familiar, apresentando um esforço muito grande por parte de seus gerentes para mudarem o modo de dirigir a empresa. A outra empresa, nova no mercado, não apresentou os requisitos adequados para uma orientação para o mercado, não estando totalmente alinhada com as exigências de mercado. No estudo é apresentado um modelo de orientação para o mercado, que poderá ser utilizado pelas organizações pesquisadas, bem como por outras empresas que desejarem. Também se apresenta sugestão para estudos futuros.

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleWith more than 50 million companion dogs, Brazil is the second largest world market for this segment, with a broad variety of products and services, including some that are typically human, revealing the anthropomorphic view of companion animals. Anthropomorphism allows the bonding between humans and animals, but it creates unreal expectations regarding the behavior of animals, which may cause grave consequences, such as abandonment. This may happen to purchased animals or animals received as gifts as well as to adopted animals, but there are differences between these types of acquisition. This research intended to identify similarities and differences in the process of acquiring a companion dog and to investigate the human-animal bond. Two Internet-based questionnaires were used, one to understand the acquisition process and one to measure the strength of the attachment to companion dogs (Dog Attachment Questionnaire). They were applied until one year of the acquisition of the dog and one year later. Most dogs are adopted (61.3%), followed by 26.3% of purchased dogs and 12.1% of dogs received as gifts. Adopting was associated with unplanned acquisitions, divorcees, lower education, older and neutered animals, taken as strays, mongrels, and chosen by the owner, residents at houses with more than one dog. Purchasing was associated with higher income, post-graduation, living in an apartment, younger people, married or single, planned acquisition, small animals and breed dogs. Receiving a dog as a gift was associated with lower education and income, living in a country house or farm, big and neutered animals. The human-animal bond is strengthened by the following factors: being young, female, single or divorced, with medium education and income, that chooses its own pet and is solely responsible for it, neutered dogs, strays, unplanned acquisition, living in a house, with more dogs. The human-animal bond is weakened by older, male, married owners, with high education and income, living in apartment or country house or farm, without other animals, shared responsibilities regarding the dog, animal chosen by others and having a specific breed. No direct association was found between bond and type of acquisition; however, several indirect associations indicate that the bond is stronger for those who adopted their companion animal than for those who purchased it. In one year period, the bond weakened. In order to avoid that this scenario perpetuates itself, its imperative to incentive adoption opposed to purchase of companion dogs, to educate children about the real value of animals and change the way they are represented culturally and in the media.

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe objective of this study is to analyse, through theoretical and methodological principles of French Discourse Analysis, how the construction of meanings about the relationship between body, media and society happens in the writing of adolescent high school students. What motivated the writing of these adolescents was an advertising that explores the body cult taken from contemporary Brazilian media. The following questions guide this study: 1- How do adolescents build, in their writing, their interpretation gestures, when issues are addressed to the body in an advertisement? 2- How do the psychic records of these adolescents – real, symbolic and imaginary – together with the concepts of interdiscourse – the ‘already said’ and intradiscourse – ‘what is said’, reveal, in their writing, different meanings about body, media and society issues? What are these meaning effects? 3- What can these meaning effects tell about the subject-positions of these adolescents towards the discursive formation in which the advertisement is inserted? The analyses show that the mechanisms for the production of meanings about body issues in the writing of the adolescents generate many times contradictory meaning effects due to the social, historical and ideological contexts also be determined by contradictions.

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleO presente estudo buscou analisar as condições de trabalho e vida de atores de teatro experimental. A partir da noção de vocação, e de um mapeamento do ofício a partir da Sociologia das profissões artísticas, propôs-se um diálogo com os conceitos da Psicodinâmica do trabalho, tendo sido desenvolvida, ainda,uma pesquisa qualitativa. Foram realizadas três entrevistas coletivas, no período de trinta dias, com uma companhia de teatro experimental atuante no Rio de Janeiro. Dividiram-se os resultados, para fins de organização, em sete aspectos. Os quatro primeiros, relativos ao panorama geral da profissão,incluem: a precocidade do ingresso no ofício como uma tendência frequente; os dilemas e desafios da profissão, desde a instabilidade que historicamente a caracteriza à precarização que vem marcando contratos e relações de trabalho;o aumento crescente da qualificação, representando em muitos casos a chance de se obter a estabilidade financeira, sobretudo através de atividades de ensino; e a banalização do ofício que, relacionada à busca desenfreada da fama e às idealizações fantasiosas, vem gerando impactos sobre os processos de formação. Os três outros aspectos se referem mais especificamente à análise do trabalho dos atores a partir de conceitos da Psicodinâmica de trabalho. Compreendem: os meios pelos quais se dão a mobilização subjetiva para o exercício teatral, a partir do confronto com o real, e por meio da carga psíquica de trabalho; a questão do reconhecimento e sua importância para a construção e manutenção - da identidade e, por fim; a importância do coletivo que, mesmo afetado pelas tendências individualistas e competitivas do mundo contemporâneo, se constitui a essência mesmo do trabalho em teatro, tanto pelo sentimento de pertencimento como, ainda, pela via da cooperação.
The present study aims at analyzing the working conditions and life of experimental stage actors. From the notion of vocation, and a mapping ofthe profession through the scope of Sociology of the Artistic Professions, adialogue with the concepts of Psychodynamics of Work was proposed. Inparallel, a qualitative research was conducted. Three collective interviews were held in thirty days, with nine members of an experimental acting company performing in Rio de Janeiro. The results were divided, for organization purposes, into seven aspects. The first four, related to the general overview of the profession, include: the early initiation in the profession as a frequent tendency; dilemmas and challenges of the profession, from its peculiar historical instability to the increasing lyprecarious contracts and labor relations; the progressive pursuit of qualification, representing in many cases the chance to gain stability through careers that support and relate to the artistic ones, chiefly education; and the profession s trivialization, which allied to the unrestrained pursuit of fame generates direct and indirect impact to health. The other three aspects approach more specifically the analysis of the work of the actors in the framework of the concepts of Psychodynamics of Work, and comprise: the means by which the subjective mobilization to the theatrical exercise occur, from the confrontation with reality and through psychic workload, demonstrating the relations between work and psychosomatic economy; theissue of recognition and its importance to the construction - andmaintenance - of identity; and finally, the importance of the collective that, even if affected by the individualist and competitive tendencies of the contemporary world, is the very essence of theater work, through a sense ofbelonging and through cooperation as well. This stage aims to develop an Intervention Project as a way of addressing health problems and identified as priorities in the population of the Municipality of Santa Maria Feira. Cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of death in Portugal (responsible for about 36% of deaths in the triennium 2003-2005), and are also a major cause of morbidity, disability and potential years of life lost in the Portuguese population. According to the National Statistics Institute (INE), the Municipality of Santa Maria da Feira no exception to this reality, presenting in 2003-2005, 34% of deaths from cardiovascular diseases. To give a positive response to this reality, there is the project "Health Gain". This community intervention project aimed at, the target population will provide knowledge and skills and make them active agents in the prevention of cardiovascular disease by decreasing the modifiable risk factors. It was used as the main strategy to education and health promotion, in order to increase health gains particularly in Cardiovascular Diseases.

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleO presente estudo tem como principal objectivo estudar o efeito mediador que a Eficácia Colectiva possa ter na relação entre o Discurso Interno (Positivo e Negativo) e o Desempenho dos atletas, e ainda verificar se existem diferenças no que diz respeito ao Discurso Interno, à Eficácia Colectiva e Desempenho entre atletas federados e não federados na modalidade Voleibol. Com uma amostra de 240 participantes, este estudo utilizou a versão portuguesa do AESQS (Zourbanos et al., 2009), traduzida por três peritos independentes, com objectivo de avaliar o discurso interno dos atletas durante um jogo. Utilizou-se também a versão portuguesa do CEQS (Short, Sullivan & Feltz, 2001), traduzida por Francisco, 2005, com objectivo de avaliar a crença que cada atleta tem relativamente à sua equipa. Por fim, utilizou-se uma escala de avaliação de desempenho dos ateltas construída pelos autores do presente estudo. Dos resultados obtidos podemos destacar que, o efeito de mediação da Eficácia Colectiva na relação entre o Discurso Interno Positivo e o Desempenho, teve um efeito parcial. Relativamente ao efeito de mediação da Eficácia Colectiva na relação entre o Discurso Interno Negativo e o Desempenho, podendo-se, por isso, concluir que o efeito se verificou parcialmente. Confirma-se também que não foram encontradas diferenças significativas entre atletas federados e não federados no que diz respeito às variáveis em estudo (Discurso Interno, Eficácia Colectiva e Desempenho.
ABSTRACT: The present study has as main objective to study the mediating effect that collective efficacy may have on the relationship between the Self-talk (Positive and Negative) and the performance of athletes and also check if there are differences regarding to the Self-talk, Collective Efficacy and Performance between federated and non-federated athletes in Voleibol modality. With a sample of 240 participants, this study used a portuguese version of AESQS (Zourbanos et al., 2009) translated by three independent experts, with a goal of evaluating the athletes’s inner speech during a game. It was also used the portuguese version of CEQS (Shortm Sullivan & Feltz, 2001) translated by Francisco, 2005, with the objective of evaluating the belief which athlete has relatively to his team. Finally, was used a scale for evaluating the performance of athletes bilt by the authors of the this study. From the obtained results we can highlight that the mediating efect of Collective efficacy in the relation between the positive Self-talk and the performance had a parcial effect. In terms of the Collective Efficacy of mediation effect in the relation between the Negative Self-talk and the Performance it may be concluded that the effect was partially verified. It is also confirmed that significative differences between federated and non federated athletes, concerning the present variables (Self-talk, Collective Efficacy and Performance).

This work, as well several other papers, shows empirical evidence proving that Normal Distribution doesn’t fit the behaviour of the financial assets returns and that leads to a risk underestimation. This risk underestimation increases the probability of financial crises. To evaluate the risk underestimation, five indicators were created: 1) Serial Correlation; 2) Fama multiples; 3) Correlation breakdown; 4) Moving Average; 5) Trading Range Break-Out Combining the information from the five indicators of risk underestimation it is presented the investment strategy - Stop Loss Maximum Return (SLMR), from which it is intended to compare with a long position, in this case the in the DJEurostoxx50, to gain superior returns, statistically different, without recording risk increase and exposure to rare events. The SLMR Strategy resumes as follows: 1) The Stop Loss – its function is to suggest signals to sell the financial asset to avoid the huge losses following risk underestimation; 2) The Maximum Return – its function is to suggest signals to buy the financial asset, when it reveals/shows strong signals of recovering after the huge falls had happened. It is proposed that the success of the SLMR Strategy is The (Right) Way to Win with the High Probable Next Financial Crises.

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis dissertation focus on the representation of Portuguese migration to France in the Portuguese cinema. In this sense, we started by searching for previous works connected to this theme. We found some works that reveals the history of Portuguese population in France since the final fifties until nowadays, which is very important for our work. After that, we defined a film corpus, in order to compare the movies with the research. In the following task, we proceeded to the selection of two movies, and the chosen were: A Gaiola Dourada (2013) de Rúben Alves, and Ganhar a Vida (2001) de João Canijo. In order to get a more transparency in the film analysis, we found important present some social-historical contextualization. With this goal, we develop a brief history of Portuguese migration to France, which includes a reference to Salazarism, and its perspective on migration. Within the Accented Cinema section, we exposed the way these minorities´ emigrants are represented in cinema and as they have transformed the cultural identity of the European continent into a transcultural identity. Therefore, we also develop a chapter about Portuguese cinema, and its relation with the alterity, we set the hypothesis that, within these last years, Portuguese cinema has evolved to a transcultural and transnational stage. Perting from this perspective, we analysed the elected films convicted that they present visions about Portuguese migration. In the end, we compared both films, using some of the concepts developed in the previous chapters, with a single goal, bringing light about what have been life of these Portuguese emigrants in France.

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleMost of the studies about bullying focus only the most salient roles such as the victim/s and aggressor/s, forgetting about those who are the majority of the time present during these situations: the bystander. Regarding to this specific role, especially regarding to the defending bystander, is important to understand how he may be influenced by empathy, since he assumes, according to the literature, an important role in helping peers. The present study`s main concern was to verify if defending behaviors depended on empathy. A 357 pupil school sample was used (from 5th to 11th grades) in the study. It was verified according to the analysis, that empathy seems to influence pro-social and defending behaviors. On the other side, long victimization periods tend to generate decreased empathy levels. Participant`s age was not relevant in helping peers in bullying situations. Results are discussed as well as limitations regarding the study. A few suggestions are made for studies that may follow.

Firstly, it will be considered the use in levels of initiation vocabulary (LE) and further vocabulary structures (LM), addressing various issues in terms of oral and written communication, such as the difficulties, motivation and implementation of strategies related to vocabulary development. Secondly, taking into account the specificities of each language and the characteristics of its users, some working hypotheses will be explored in a specific school context, which will be supported by the observation and the teaching of classes within the Supervised Teaching Practice.

Estes erros sugerem que ao invés de usarem a presença ou ausência de reforço para decidir a escolha subsequente, os pombos parecem estimar o tempo desde o início da sessão para decidir quando inverter as suas escolhas. Para analisar esta hipótese, 12 pombos foram divididos em dois grupos. Ambos os grupos foram expostos a 40 sessões de uma discriminação simultânea entre dois estímulos visuais, um reforçado na primeira metade de cada sessão (S1) e outro na segunda metade (S2). De seguida, completaram mais 40 sessões iguais às anteriores à exceção da duração do intervalo-entre-ensaios: enquanto o grupo 5/10 experienciou 5 s de intervalo-entre-ensaios nas primeiras 40 sessões e 10 s nas segundas 40, o grupo 10/5 experienciou a ordem inversa. Os resultados mostram que quando o intervaloentre- ensaios é subitamente aumentado (grupo 5/10) a proporção de erros antecipatórios aumenta ao passo que quando esse mesmo intervalo é subitamente reduzido (grupo 10/5) o mesmo ocorre mas com os erros de perseveração. Este padrão de resultados é consistente com a regulação temporal do comportamento nesta tarefa.
Pigeons typically show anticipatory and perseverative errors in the midsession reversal task wherein the contingencies of reinforcement reverse halfway through the session. These errors suggest that pigeons seem to use the time elapsed since the beginning of the session to decide when to reverse their choices instead of using the presence or absence of reinforcement to make the subsequent choice. In order to analyze this hypothesis, 12 pigeons were divided into two groups. Both groups were exposed to 40 sessions of a simultaneous discrimination between two visual stimuli, one reinforced in the first half of the session (S1) and the other in the second half (S2). Then, they completed 40 additional but identical sessions except for the inter-trial-interval duration: While group 5/10 experienced a 5 s inter-trial-interval in the first 40 sessions and a 10 s inter-trial-interval in the second 40 sessions, group 10/5 experienced the reverse order. Results showed that when the inter-trial-interval is suddenly increased (group 5/10), the proportion of anticipatory errors increased whereas when the same interval is decreased (group 10/5) the same occurs, but with the perseverative errors. This pattern of results is consistent with the temporal regulation of behavior in this task.
