Annotation:
Teaching ethics to accounting students is a challenge for lecturers. Lack of knowledge on how to teach ethics and limited references to ethics teaching materials are examples of obstacles to teaching ethics. The film has been an exciting learning resource in accounting courses, which is a fun way to learn and full of value. This study is a preexperimental study to determine the effectiveness of using film media to convey ethical material to students majoring in Accounting, Politeknik Negeri Malang. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative. Based on the results of this experiment, 32 students stated that there were moral values that were learned from watching films. In contrast, 17 people indicated that they had learned other things such as cases of economic crisis and the application of the material in class to real life. Based on these results, films could be used as an alternative to teaching ethics to accounting students. This study offered a reference for accounting lecturers the ways to use film in accounting classes and samples of discussion and assignments in using film as a teaching resource. The result of this study could be a reference in renewing the curriculum to insert film as a learning resource, also to consider other learning resources.

A sputtered FePt(BN, Re, C) film, here boron nitride (BN), was compared to a reference sample FePt(BN, Ag, C). Intrinsically, these films illustrate a high anisotropy field (Hk) and perpendicular magnetocrystalline anisotropy (Ku),although the reference sample shows a higher value (Hk = 69.5 kOe, Ku = 1.74 × 107 erg/cm3) than the FePt(BN, Re, C) film (Hk = 66.9 kOe, Ku = 1.46 × 107 erg/cm3). However, the small difference in the anisotropy constant (K2/K1) ratio presents a close tendency in the angular dependence of the switching field. Extrinsically, the out-of-plane coercivity for the reference sample is 32 kOe, which is also higher than the FePt(BN, Re, C) film (Hc = 27 kOe), and both films present lower remanence (Mr(parallel)/Mr(perpendicular) = 0.08~0.12), that is, the index for perpendicular magnetic anisotropy. The higher perpendicular magnetization for both films was due to highly (001) textured FePt films, which was also evidenced by the tight rocking width of 4.1°/3.0° for (001)/(002) X-ray diffraction peaks, respectively, and high-enough ordering degree. The reference sample was measured to have a higher ordering degree (S = 0.84) than FePt(BN, Re, C) (S = 0.63). As a result, the Ag segregant shows stronger ability to promote the ordering of the FePt film; however, the FePt(BN, Re, C) film still has comparable magnetic properties without Ag doping. From the surface and elemental composition analysis, the metallic Re atoms found in the FePt lattice result in a strong spin–orbital coupling between transition metal Fe (3d electron) and heavy metals (Re, Pt) (5d electron) and we conducted high magnetocrystalline anisotropy (Ku). Above is the explanation that the lower-ordered FePt(BN, Re, C) film still has high-enough Ku and out-of-plane Hc. Regarding the microstructure, both the reference sample and FePt(BN, Re, C) show granular structure and columnar grains, and the respective average grain size and distributions are 6.60 nm (12.5%) and 11.2 nm (15.9%). The average widths of the grain boundaries and the aspect ratio of the columnar grain height are 2.05 nm, 1.00 nm, 2.35 nm, and 1.70 nm, respectively.

For protection against leaching of the electrolyte reservoir of a solid state reference electrode a porous covering film was prepared and characterized. The porous covering film is based on a glass matrix composite and fired at 400 °C according to the thick-film-based structure of the reference electrode. Based on stability investigations on low sintering glasses in the range of pH 1.68 to pH 9.18 and in various concentrated potassium chloride solutions, a suitable zinc borate glass was selected. Using this glass and Al2O3 or ZrO2 oxide powders, various glass matrix composites were prepared and their sintering behavior was investigated in dependence on the amount of crystalline fraction up to 45 vol%. The shrinkage was measured by heating microscopy of powder compacts of cylindrical shape. In addition composite films on ZrO2 substrates screen-printed and at 400 °C fired were characterized in terms of their porosity by means of micro structural analysis and electrochemical deposition of copper. According to these investigations, suitable composites were selected as porous covering materials for the reference electrode and were tested therefore. The electrochemical characterization showed that the solid-state reference electrodes with porous covering films have a very good performance compared to conventional reference electrodes.

Movie “Coco”. Color grading is one of the important factors in the cinematography of a film. The atmosphere in a film can be formed with different coloring for each scene so that it can build the right atmosphere. This research was conducted to identify the color scheme in color grading as a mood builder in Pixar’s animated film “Coco”, using a qualitative approach, and descriptive method. Data collection comes from various visual sources and library references. From this research, it is concluded that the color scheme in color grading in Pixar’s animated film “Coco” successfully builds the audience’s mood by using different color schemes for each scene. The color schemes that are often used in the animated film are derivatives of orange, blue, and purple. The results of research journals on color grading as a mood builder in Pixar’s animated film “Coco” are expected to be one of the reference sources or references, especially textual studies on color grading. This research journal is also expected to contribute as a reference development study in multimedia, using an approach regarding color schemes as mood builders in a film. The present work concerns the back-scattered electron image contrast of a thin film of Cu64Mo36 on a silicon substrate. The contrast is defined by the ratio(1)where If and Ib are the backscattered electron signals from the film and from an adjacent bulk reference specimen. In previous work on thin sputtered films of Cu-Mo, Cu-W and Cu-Al both the film and the bulk reference specimen were perpendicular to the incident electron beam. It was found that the dependence of r on the accelerating voltage of the electron beam could be used to obtain both the thickness and the composition of the films. It is the purpose of the present work to determine whether the simple method previously used to extract the required information can be extended to include tilted specimens. As will be seen the method can be adapted to films tilted by less than 50°.

In recent years historical film production or historical films — Historical Film, Historical Movie, Historical Cinema—have become increasingly massive in Indonesia. In its development, historical films in Indonesia are a massive medium to present a past that deserves to be remembered as a collective memory of society. Since the reform era, dozens of historical film titles have been produced and colouring the Indonesian film industry. As a result, many historical films have become references and reference sources for the community to find information about the past. It becomes reasonable to see the development of multimedia-based information technology (audiovisual) which has encouraged the emergence of post-literacy phenomena. In historical studies, historical films can be studied as a thematic study as well as in a methodological realm. As a thematic study, historical films are mental products (mentifact) and social products (sociofact) of society in a certain space of time. Whereas in the methodological realm, historical films can be explored through debates about historical sources or as narratives and representations of the past presented through film media. The study of historical films as a study of history is still a rare and less desirable subject for historians in Indonesia. This paper utilizes literature studies to answer some of the research problems posed. Literature studies of sources related to historical film studies are the focus of the researchers. In addition, a deeper understanding of the development of historical films in Indonesia is also a concern to uncover the souls of the times that surround historical film production. This study concludes that the existence of historical films in the present is a challenge for historians to face the era of openness and variety of media that presents information about the past.

Every time you watch a soap opera, a documentary dies,” says a character in the Italian comedy “Tuttelovogliono” (2015). The context in which this character makes the statement highlights the educational role of documentaries, compared to the first genre of film production. But first of all, what is a documentary? The special nature of this kind of film in general, as well as the use of photographic images and sound recordings in particular, have proven difficult to conceptualize by reference to the distinction fiction film/non-fiction film. There is also terminological confusion caused by different uses of the term “documentary” and the phrase “non-fiction film”. “Latosensu”, we can attest to instructional non-fiction films, product promotion films, historical documentaries or biographical films.

In the essay, the author, Łukasz Ronduda, relates his own work as an artist, a film director, an art historian and curator, discussed in the light of the cinematic turn and the formation of common ground between cinema and contemporary art in both artistic and institutional sense. Ronduda looks closely at his two full-length feature films: Performer (2015) and Serce miłości (Heart of Love) (2017) and highlights their wider context. The first frame of reference spans from experimental films to contemporary full-length productions dedicated to wide audience. The second reference is his own work involving academic research, curating, writing a novel and the creation of a found footage film. In this self-presentation, Ronduda discloses his different attempts to find the right medium to speak about and analyze contemporary art. The full-length film turned out to be particularly effective medium in its ability to express the truth by means of fiction, placing him between creation and institutional structure. Film as a medium of interpreting art seems to productively question fixed boundaries between research, criticism and art.

A novel reference film was characterized to improve the oxygen gas transmission measurement accuracy of plastic materials for pharmaceutical packaging. The material processing, homogeneity, stability, jointly determined value and uncertainty evaluation were discussed. The film is the first reference film characterized by multiple laboratories using both manometric and coulometric methods. The oxygen transmission rate of the reference film was 20.53 with the expanded uncertainty of 1.36. The newly characterized reference film can be used in the calibration and self-calibration of oxygen transmission measurement equipment and analytical method verification to improve the measurement accuracy and achieve traceable data.

Potentiometric sensing requires a stable sensing electrode that is selectively responsive to an analyte, and a reference electrode (RE) that provides a stable and well-defined reference potential in a liquid electrolytic environment. In sensor applications where compactness and ease of integration are essential characteristics, pseudo-REs in the form of doped polymer semiconductors, bare metal films, or a bare chlorinated silver film are typically used. Bulk glass electrodes, such as the Ag/AgCl electrode, are incompatible with sensor integration. We report here a solid reservoir reference electrode (SRRE) that achieves the performance of traditional immersed wire Ag/AgCl REs in a compact, layered structure. The SRRE is a solid, layered analogue of the Ag/AgCl RE, with a chlorinated silver film as metallic electrode, a solid KCl layer serving as a saturated reservoir of chloride, and a porous polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) layer acting as membrane for exchange of water and ions. We demonstrate two different method to fabricate the porous PDMS in figure A and B. The characteristics of the SRRE, including impedance, noise, and long-term drift, can be tuned by adjustment of the PDMS membrane permeance and KCl solid reservoir size. We have demonstrated temporal stability of the RE open circuit potential (OCP), with drift less than 0.37 mV over 17 hours in deionized water. When compared against bare chlorinated silver, the SRRE exhibits superior stability of OCP versus changes in electrolyte ion-concentration, including solutions of potassium chloride, sodium chloride and pH buffers. The ease of fabrication enables SRRE integration with graphene ion-sensitive field effect transistors (ISFETs) to achieve entirely solid-contact micro ion sensors. The solid-contact micro ion sensor can simultaneously measure pH and Na+, in volumes as low as 20 μL. Using the same layered structure, we further demonstrated fabricated electrocardiogram (ECG) and electroencephalogram (EEG) electrodes with significantly lower impedance and noise when compared to disposable gel electrodes. Finally, we have shown that the SRRE can function in non-aqueous solventssuch as acetonitrile, demonstrating the wide range of SRRE applications. Figure 1

Thin films of a-Si:C have been prepared by thermal evaporation from resistive- and rf-induction-heated carbon crucibles. Samples were prepared with and without electron-beam irradiation of the substrate during deposition, and the resulting film properties (electrical and optical) were measured. Reference samples prepared with substrate temperatures from 150 to 250 °C and annealing temperatures from 200 to 250 °C had very similar film properties. The use of vitreous carbon instead of compressed carbon for the crucibles reduced the carbon content by about 30% and the oxygen content of the films by more than a factor of four. Electron-beam irradiation of the purer films produced a tenfold decrease in the conductivity at room temperature and an increase of the high-temperature activation energies compared with the reference samples.

Clobazam orally dissolving strips were prepared by solvent casting method. A full 32 factorial design was applied for optimization using different concentration of film forming polymer and disintegrating agent as independent variable and disintegration time, % cumulative drug release, and tensile strength as dependent variable. In addition the prepared films were also evaluated for surface pH, folding endurance, and content uniformity. The optimized film formulation showing the maximum in vitro drug release, satisfactory in vitro disintegration time, and tensile strength was selected for bioavailability study and compared with a reference marketed product (frisium5 tablets) in rabbits. Formulation (F6) was selected by the Design-expert software which exhibited DT (24 sec), TS (2.85 N/cm2), and in vitro drug release (96.6%). Statistical evaluation revealed no significant difference between the bioavailability parameters of the test film (F6) and the reference product. The mean ratio values (test/reference) of Cmax (95.87%), tmax (71.42%), AUC0−t (98.125%), and AUC0−∞ (99.213%) indicated that the two formulae exhibited comparable plasma level-time profiles.

The diamond thin films was deposited by hot filament CVD method in the Cemented Carbide (YG6) substrate. The surface morphology and quality of the diamond film coating was detected by scanning electron microscopy and Raman spectrometer. The internal stress of the diamond thin films and Cemented Carbide substrate, exerted by load, was calculated by the method of finite element numerical analysis. The analysis result shows that the internal stress of the film is tensile stress. The maximum appear in the blade and the tip place, the stress distribution more evenly in the middle area of the film. The stress is a zonal distribution and reduced gradually from the matrix surface to bottom in the Cemented Carbide, the results of the finite element analysis can provide the reference for the other methods to determin the diamond film stress and improve the stress between the membrane and substrate.

This paper aims to focus on portrayals of psychiatry and psychiatrists in four contemporary Irish feature films in order to make wider points on this theme.Methods: Contemporary Irish feature-films that made substantial reference to psychiatry, psychiatrists or mental health in Ireland were identified though electronic searches and consultation with the Film Institute of Ireland. Selected films were viewed. Electronic searches were performed in the medical and film literatures, with broad search terms related to film, psychiatry, psychiatrists or mental health in Ireland. Additional books and papers were identified by tracking back through references and consulting with colleagues.Results: The portrayal of psychiatrists in film is closely related to the development of both twentieth century psychiatry and twentieth century cinema. In common with recent European films, certain recent Irish films have tended to show psychiatrists as sympathetic, humane individuals (with some notable exceptions). While there have been a number of portrayals of dissocial personally disorder and various states of chronic alienation in recent Irish film, there have been fewer portrayals of psychosis or learning disability. Recent Irish films emphasise the role of alcohol in causing and perpetuating psychological distress. They generally provide unflinching portrayals of the effects of psychological distress and alienation, suicide and substance abuse at individual, family and community levels; nonetheless, there is still a regrettable tendency for films to associate mental illness with dissocial behaviour.Conclusions: The portrayal of mental health issues in film presents both challenges and opportunities to film-makers, mental health service-users and general audiences alike. It is to be hoped that the recent trend towards realistic explorations of mental health issues in many European films continues into the future. Increased research in this area would help clarify the role of cinema in shaping public understandings of mental illness, and may also help identify additional ways of addressing stigma in the future.

AbstractCopyright ownership dispute in the Soekarno film script between Rachmawati Soekarnoputri and PT. Tripar Multivision Plus, Ram Jethmal Punjabi, and Hanung Bramantyo have obtained permanent legal force, namely through Supreme Court Decision Number 305K/Pdt.Sus HKI/2014. The purpose of this study is to examine the status of Rachmawati Soekarnoputri in the film “Soekarno: Indonesia Merdeka” and its legal consequences, and to examine the principle of co-ownership of copyright in the film script “Soekarno: Indonesia Merdeka”. This study applies normative legal research methods, using a statutory, conceptual, and case approach. The results of the study show that the status of Rachmawati Soekarnoputri in Soekarno’s film only acts as a reference source (in addition to other reference sources). So based on the Copyright Law, the creator of the Soekarno film scenario, namely Ben Sihombing, was the owner of the copyright, and not Rachmawati Soekarnoputri. As for the principle of joint ownership, the laws and regulations in Indonesia still do not accommodate the joint ownership of the idea reference for filmmaking. However, in the implementation of moral rights, Rachmawati Soekarnoputri actually can still be named as a reference in the film as a form of joint ownership.Keywords: Soekarno Films; Copyright; Collective Ownership. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji status Rachmawati Soekarnoputri dalam Film “Soekarno: Indonesia Merdeka” dan akibat hukumnya, serta mengkaji prinsip kepemilikan bersama hak cipta dalam naskah Film “Soekarno: Indonesia Merdeka”. Penelitian ini mengaplikasikan metode penelitian hukum normatif, dengan menggunakan pendekatan peraturan perundang-undangan, konseptual, dan kasus. Hasil penelitian mengetengahkan bahwa status Rachmawati Soekarnoputri dalam Film Soekarno hanya bertindak sebagai salah satu sumber referensi (selain sumber-sumber referensi lainnya). Sehingga berdasarkan UU Hak Cipta, pencipta skenario Film Soekarno, yakni Ben Sihombing lah selaku pemilik hak cipta, dan bukannya Rachmawati Soekarnoputri. Adapun berkaitan dengan prinsip kepemilikan bersama, peraturan perundang-undangan di Indonesia masih belum mengakomodir berkenaan dengan kepemilikan bersama terhadap pemberi referensi ide terhadap pembuatan film. Purpose In vivo dosimetry is a quality assurance tool that provides post-treatment measurement of the absorbed dose as delivered to the patient. This dosimetry compares the prescribed and measured dose delivered to the target volume. In this study, a tissue-equivalent water phantom provided the simulation of the human environment. The skin and entrance doses were measured using GafChromic EBT2 film for a Theratron® Equinox Cobalt-60 teletherapy machine. Methods We examined the behaviors of unencapsulated films and custom-made film encapsulation. Films were cut to 1 cm × 1 cm, calibrated, and used to assess skin dose depositions and entrance dose. We examined the response of the film for variations in field size, source to skin distance (SSD), gantry angle and wedge angle. Results The estimated uncertainty in EBT2 film for absorbed dose measurement in phantom was ±1.72%. Comparison of the measurements of the two film configurations for the various irradiation parameters were field size (p = 0.0193, α = 0.05, n = 11), gantry angle (p = 0.0018, α = 0.05, n = 24), SSD (p = 0.1802, α = 0.05, n = 11) and wedge angle (p = 0.6834, α = 0.05, n = 4). For a prescribed dose of 200 cGy and at reference conditions (open field 10 cm x 10 cm, SSD = 100 cm, and gantry angle = 0º), the measured skin dose using the encapsulation material was 70% while that measured with the unencapsulated film was 24%. At reference irradiation conditions, the measured skin dose using the unencapsulated film was higher for open field configurations (24%) than wedged field configurations (19%). Estimation of the entrance dose using the unencapsulated film was within 3% of the prescribed dose. Conclusions GafChromic EBT2 film measurements were significantly affected at larger field sizes and gantry angles. Furthermore, we determined a high accuracy in entrance dose estimations using the film.

A waterborne thermochromic primer film containing thermochromic reversible microcapsules on the surface of Tilia europaea was prepared. The influences of different microcapsule concentrations on the reversible thermochromic, optical, mechanical and liquid resistance properties of the primer films were investigated. Not only were the morphology and structure of microcapsules and films observed, but also the chemical compositions of the microcapsules and films were analyzed. The results showed that for the primer film with microcapsules, the microcapsule concentration had a more significant influence on color difference. The primer film with microcapsules can achieve thermochromic reversibility. The temperature of color change was 32 °C and it had a good color recovery. The film gloss was negatively correlated with the microcapsule concentration, and the film with 5.0%–15.0% concentration had the best gloss. Adding an appropriate concentration of microcapsules can effectively improve the mechanical properties of the film. The film with 0–15.0% microcapsules had better liquid resistance to detergent, i.e., grade 1. The bonding form between the primer film added with microcapsules and Tilia europaea was physical bonding. This study provides a technical reference for the development of modern intelligent discoloration wood products.

The PdNi film hydrogen sensors with Wheatstone bridge structure were designed and fabricated with the micro-electro-mechanical system (MEMS) technology. The integrated sensors consisted of four PdNi alloy film resistors. The internal two were shielded with silicon nitride film and used as reference resistors, while the others were used for hydrogen sensing. The PdNi alloy films and SiN films were deposited by magnetron sputtering. The morphology and microstructure of the PdNi films were characterized with X-ray diffraction (XRD). For efficient data acquisition, the output signal was converted from resistance to voltage. Hydrogen (H2) sensing properties of PdNi film hydrogen sensors with Wheatstone bridge structure were investigated under different temperatures (30 °C, 50 °C and 70 °C) and H2 concentrations (from 10 ppm to 0.4%). The hydrogen sensor demonstrated distinct response at different hydrogen concentrations and high repeatability in cycle testing under 0.4% H2 concentration. Towards 10 ppm hydrogen, the PdNi film hydrogen sensor had evident and collectable output voltage of 600 μV.

Over the past two years, an intriguing trend emerged in relation to horror films in Indonesia, wherein iconicity involving women became the representamen of the sign system within a film poster. The research methodology used was qualitative description, with Indonesian horror films from the years 2022-2023 serving as the data source. To comprehend the meanings encapsulated within the latest Indonesian horror film posters, Charles Sanders Peirce's paradigm on signs was adopted as a reference to understand the research material – the Indonesian horror film posters from 2022-2023. The research results showed that the representation of meaning in the Indonesian horror film posters from 2022-2023, which were employed as icons within their posters, centered around women. Fruit yield and quality of greenhouse tomatoes are strongly influenced by light conditions and nitrogen (N) availability, however, the interaction between these factors is still unclear. We evaluated the effects on cherry tomatoes of two tunnel plastic covers with different optical properties and three N doses, also in combination with a biostimulant treatment. We compared a diffuse light film (Film1) and a conventional clear film (Film2), and three N levels, corresponding to 50% (N50), 75% (N75) and 100% (N100) of the optimal dose, with and without a microbial plus a protein hydrolysed biostimulant, compared to a non-treated control. The three experimental treatments significantly interacted on several yield and quality parameters. In control plants (untreated with biostimulants), the early yield was higher at reduced N doses compared to N100, with greater increments under the diffusive Film1 compared to the clear Film2 (+57.7% and +37.0% vs. +31.7% and +16.0%, in N50 and N75 respectively). Film1 boosted the total fruit production at all the N rates and with or without biostimulants, compared to Film2, with stronger effects under sub-optimal N (+29.4% in N50, +21.2% in N75, and +7.8% in N100, in plants untreated with biostimulant). Total yield decreased with decreasing N levels, while it always increased with the application of biostimulants, which counterbalanced the detrimental effects of N shortage. Quality traits were mainly affected by the cover film and the biostimulant treatment. The diffusive film increased the content of carotenoids, lycopene and total phenols compared to the clear one, and the biostimulants increased texture, soluble solids, phenols and ascorbic acid compared to the untreated control. It is worth noting that in plants fertilized at 75% of the reference N dose, the biostimulants determined higher yield than the N100 untreated control, under both the covers (+48% in Film1 and +20% in Film2). In conclusion, the diffusive film improved the fruit yield and quality of greenhouse tomatoes in the spring–summer period, presumably avoiding plant stress due to high-intensity direct light. Reduced N rates limited the plant productivity, however, the biostimulant application was effective in compensating for the detrimental effects of sub-optimal supply of N synthetic fertilizers.

A film is a work of art that is used as a medium to convey an important message to society through its actions and characters that use a lot of implicit elements in conversation. The purpose of this study is to examine the film works of the great artist P. Ramlee using an inquisitive semantic approach from the field of pragmatics that emphasizes the interpretation of meaning. Therefore, this study applies the inquisitive semantic approach introduced by Jalaluddin (2014) aided by the Relevance Theory by Sperber and Wilson (1986, 1995) and cross reference frame to uncover the implicit conversations in P. Ramlee’s films especially to discover their philosophies and common sense. This study found that there are elements of Malay society’s thinking and intellect in the implicit conversations and each lexical item has its own reason for being used in the films. A new high molar extinction coefficient ruthenium(II) bipyridyl complex “cis-Ru(4,-bis(9,9-dibutyl-7-(3,6-di-tert-butyl-9H-carbazol-9-yl)-9H-fluoren-2-yl)-2,-bipyridine)(2,-bipyridine-4,-dicarboxylic acid)(NCS)2, BPFC” has been synthesized and characterized by FT-IR, -NMR, and ESI-MASS spectroscopes. The sensitizer showed molar extinction coefficient of M−1cm−1, larger as compared to the reference N719, which showed M−1cm−1. The test cells fabricated using BPFC sensitizer employing high performance volatile electrolyte, (E01) containing 0.05 M I2, 0.1 M LiI, 0.6 M 1,2-dimethyl-3-n-propylimidazolium iodide, 0.5 M 4-tert-butylpyridine in acetonitrile solvent, exhibited solar-to-electric energy conversion efficiency (η) of 4.65% (short-circuit current density () = 11.52 mA/cm2, open-circuit voltage () = 566 mV, fill factor = 0.72) under Air Mass 1.5 sunlight, lower as compared to the reference N719 sensitized solar cell, fabricated under similar conditions, which exhibited η-value of 6.5% ( = 14.3 mA/cm2, = 640 mV, fill factor = 0.71). UV-Vis measurements conducted on TiO2 films showed decreased film absorption ratios for BPFC as compared to those of reference N719. Staining TiO2 electrodes immediately after sonication of dye solutions enhanced film absorption ratios of BPFC relative to those of N719. Time-dependent density functional theory (TD-DFT) calculations show higher oscillation strengths for 4,-bis(9,9-dibutyl-7-(3,6-di-tert-butyl-9H-carbazol-9-yl)-9H-fluoren-2-yl)-2,-bipyridine relative to 2,-bipyridine-4,-dicarboxylic acid and increased spectral response for the corresponding BPFC complex.

The research aims to investigate how film promoters' social media activities and other factors influence public decision-making regarding watching films in theatres. Specifically focusing on film audiences in Tamil Nadu, the study evaluates public perceptions and social media engagement. Limited research has explored variables like promotional campaigns, social media engagement, reviews, and decision-making regarding movie-watching. The study surveyed 300 individuals from Tamil Nadu who had watched films and by using SPSS, statistical analysis has been done to compare results and identify significant relationships influencing consumer decisions. The research highlights the importance of promotional campaigns, social media engagement, and reviews in influencing audiences' movie choices. Social media references can enhance audience enjoyment of recommended films, with social awareness also impacting video screening standards. The findings indicate that social networks play a significant role in influencing movie-watching behaviour. Overall, a combination of factors is necessary to encourage audiences to watch movies, and further exploration of strategies is essential to boost theatre attendance.

Not only are numerous components absorbed and modified in terms of movie subjects, but also various art forms like painting and music are researched and examined in the production of Japanese cinema, resulting in the development of film styles with national characteristics. The fundamental role of film industrialization is to increase production efficiency, reduce industry risks, create job opportunities, and provide related technologies and services for professional creative people, so that the creativity crystallization of all industry insiders can become an invisible creative power and tangible economic values in the economy and can circulate continuously within the overall film industry structure. On the basis of summering and analyzing of previous research works, this article expounded the research status and significance of Japanese film industry, elaborated the development background, current status, and future challenges of film industry model, introduced the creation and production of genre films in Japanese film industry, established the relationship between personalized creation and market trend of Japanese films, proposed the competition and cooperation model for the distribution of local and imported films, analyzed the market share of sequel and anime films in Japanese film industry, conducted the analysis of terminal construction changes and localized cinema lines operation, and discussed the exploration and management model of film screening bodies. The research results of this article provide a reference for further researches on the development model of Japanese film industry.

Izzat was the first mainstream Hindi film to reference Othello and has so far escaped the attention of academics who have begun researching the underexplored field of Bollywood Shakespeares. The film stars Dharmendra playing both versions of a fair- and a dark-skinned twin, which is a novel take on a Shakespearean trope. As a mainstream film, Izzat does not aspire to the pedagogical cultural capital of Shakespeare that Saptapadi does, nor does it reference the performance traditions of Othello onstage or film. However, references to Othello that seem superficial at first glance are embedded throughout the film. The only direct reference to the play is when Deepa meets Shekhar (who is pretending to be his twin Dilip) for the first time, and he sees she has been reading Othello. This sparks off a conversation about appearances and colour prejudices that is quite alien to an industry that traditionally favours light-skinned protagonists but rarely acknowledges it. Through this article, I would like to explore the ways in which Shakespearean tropes, and in particular Shakespeare’s Othello, has been used to explore postcolonial anxieties about identity in India by juxtaposing Adivasi identities with more typical urban Indian identities. The film also suggests that the colonizers have been replaced in Indian society by the urban elite who value superficial white masks and practise a racism that is much more insidious by discriminating against other Indians based on colour, caste and class. Through this exploration, I will also examine how Othello impacts the Indian psyche and why the referencing of Othello in this film points towards the many ways in which Othello is adapted and appropriated in Indian mainstream media.

This study investigated the effect of lipid types (oleic acid, palm oil, and margarine) and their concentrations (0, 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50wt%) on the water vapor permeability (WVP), tensile strength (TS), percentage of elongation at break (%E), and structure of emulsified rice starch-chitosan composite film. The influence of rice starch-chitosan composite film incorporated with lipids in controlling the moisture transfer in moisture-sensitive products was determined by wrapping a low aw-type cracker product in rice starch-chitosan composite film. TS and WVP of rice starch-chitosan composite film decreased with the addition of lipids, whereas %E increased in these films. Addition of lipids significantly raised film yellowness for composite films. The results showed that films added with oleic acid gave higher L*, b*, and chroma values but lower a* value than margarine and palm oil, respectively. The lower transparency of the films was noticed when a greater amount of lipid was incorporated (p < 0.05). Oleic acid-incorporated films provided the films with smoother surface and higher values of TS and %E but lower WVP than margarine and palm oil, respectively. Wrapping cracker samples in the rice starch-chitosan composite film incorporated with oleic acid could maintain the hardness and provide longer shelf life and lower moisture content than synthetic polyvinyl chloride film (PVC) and unwrapped (reference) crackers, respectively.

The radiation-induced changes in Poly (vinyl alcohol) (PVA) polymer films exposed to electron irradiation were investigated for different radiation dose. Polymer film samples were irradiated in air at room temperature by an electron beam accelerator at different doses: 0, 100, 150 and 200 kGy. The microstructural and surface properties of the irradiated PVA films were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Atomic force microscopy (AFM). An unirradiated PVA film was used as reference. Electron irradiation was found to induce changes in structural and surface properties of polymer films and such changes vary depending on the radiation dose.

Many new breakthroughs have been made. The film combined the advantages of new media in its propaganda orientation and has achieved a better propaganda effect than the traditional propaganda. Therefore, investigating the use of new media in “Shock Wave 2” and in finding places that can be used for reference based on successful experiences, they will have certain enlightenment for further successful dissemination of Hong Kong police films and even Chinese films in the future.

In the present work, surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) is proposed for the identification of dyes in chromogenic films. These substances, which are generated within the film itself during the colour development process, are first studied on reference molecules synthesised for the purpose and, subsequently, on dyes extracted from a chromogenic film. SERS spectroscopy proved to be an efficient technique for their investigation, providing a proof of concept for its applicability for further studies on this complex topic. SERS spectra of the reference molecules were also compared with normal Raman spectra, acquired with a spectrometer based on SSE™ technology. Furthermore, the excellent SERS properties of anisotropic nanomaterials, such as silver nanostars, have been confirmed.

Amorphous 1–2-nm-wide intergranular films in ceramics dictate many of their properties. The detailed investigation of structure and chemistry of these films pushes the limits of today's transmission electron microscopy. We report on the reconstruction of the one-dimensional potential profile across the film from an experimentally acquired tilt series of energy-filtered electron diffraction patterns. Along with the potential profile, the specimen thickness, film orientation with respect to the grain lattice and specimen surface, and the absolute specimen orientation with respect to the laboratory frame of reference are retrieved.

The electrostatics arising in ferroelectric/dielectric two-dimensional heterostructures and superlattices is revisited within a Kittel model in order to define and complete a clear paradigmatic reference for domain formation. The screening of the depolarizing field in isolated ferroelectric or polar thin films via the formation of 180° domains is well understood, where the width of the domains w grows as the square-root of the film thickness d , following Kittel’s Law for thick enough films ( w ≪ d ). For thinner films, a minimum is reached for w before diverging to a monodomain. Although this behaviour is known to be qualitatively unaltered when the dielectric environment of the film is modified, we consider the quantitative changes in that behaviour induced on the ferroelectric film by different dielectric settings: as deposited on a dielectric substrate, sandwiched between dielectrics, and in a superlattice of alternating ferroelectric/dielectric films. The model assumes infinitely thin domain walls, and therefore is not expected to be reliable for film thickness in the nanometre scale. The polarization field P(r) does vary in space, deviating from ± P S , following the depolarizing field in linear response, but the model does not include a polarization-gradient term as would appear in a Ginzburg–Landau free energy. The model is, however, worth characterizing, both as paradigmatic reference, and as applicable to not-so-thin films. The correct renormalization of parameters is obtained for the thick-film square-root behaviour in the mentioned settings, and the sub-Kittel regime is fully characterized. New results are presented alongside well-known ones for a comprehensive description. Among the former, a natural separation between strong and weak ferroelectric coupling in superlattices is found, which depends exclusively on the dielectric anisotropy of the ferroelectric layer.

In the article about Being (Istnienie, 2007), a documentary by Marcin Koszałka, the author tries to reconstruct the cultural tropes present in the film. In his analysis he considers the overlapping points of reference present in the film and film viewing experience, namely that of the director-camera operator, actor-hero and viewer-interpreter. Using the ideas of ethics in legal and medical discourse, memory, film aesthetics, references to baroque dance macabre and a postmodern ambiance the author creates an image of a decline of a particular form of artistic representation of world and people. BaTiO3 thin films were deposited by metal-organic chemical vapor deposition at 840 °C on two differently treated (100) MgO single crystal substrates. One MgO substrate was only mechanically polished and the other substrate was polished and then annealed at 1100 °C for 4 h in oxygen. Observation by transmission electron microscopy showed that the BaTiO3 thin film deposited on the unannealed substrate was fine-grained and that the whole film was epitaxial (100) in nature. In contrast, the film deposited on the annealed substrate consisted of large, (100)-oriented, epitaxial grains within which were distributed (110)-oriented grains with random in-plane orientations. These differences in BaTiO3 films deposited on differently treated substrates are discussed with reference to the surface structure of the MgO substrate and nucleation kinetics of BaTiO3 thin films on MgO.

As stray laser light is difficult to avoid in high-energy laser systems, it is of great significance to improve the laser damage resistance of the aluminum alloy frame anodizing film system. In this paper, the effects of anodic oxidation parameters on the thickness and performance of 6061 aluminium alloy anodic oxide composite film systems are investigated combining experiments and simulations. The thickness of the oxide film is calculated theoretically, and the simulation model is established. Then the effects of anodizing parameters and the reasons are analyzed. After characterizing the surface quality and laser damage resistance of the oxide film, the influence of anodizing parameters is summarized. This paper enables advance calculations of film thickness within a certain range, combined with the film properties, to provide a reference for the laboratory preparation of 6061 anodizing films and the preparation of structure-specific composite film systems based on the film.

Moreover, it is expected to inspire da'wah practitioners to harness the potential of films as a medium for delivering impactful messages and to provide a positive viewing experience for all audiences who appreciate this film. This research employs a qualitative method approach, utilizing Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis. Data collection for the film analysis involves recording, listening, taking notes, and categorizing relevant information. The study's outcomes reveal the existence of da'wah messages encompassing aqidah, morals, and sharia themes within the film "Cinta Subuh."

A smart packaging film was developed employing the pH-indicating activity of elderberry anthocyanins to solve the problem of refrigerated food freshness monitoring. The effect of elderberry anthocyanins on the properties of gellan gum, gelatin composite films and preservation of fresh shrimp as an indicator of freshness was investigated. The results showed that the elderberry anthocyanin-gellan gum/gelatin film had improved on film thickness (7.8×10−2 mm), TS (tensile strength) (14.57×103 MPa), WVP (water vapor permeability) (36.96×10−8 g/m·s·Pa), and a reduced EAB (elongation at break) (17.92%), and water solubility (water-soluble time of 60.5 s). SEM (scanning electron microscopy) and FTIR (infrared spectrum analysis) showed excellent compatibility between its components. Moreover, the elderberry anthocyanin film exhibited good mechanical properties and pH indication effects. Therefore, the film can be considered suitable for maintaining the quality of fresh shrimp. The results could provide a reference for research and development into new active intelligent packaging films.

To gain a competitive edge in developing innovative products, new multi-layer film manufacturers need to know whether laboratory-scale blown film line results reliably translate to large-scale production. This, however, is not always the case: Transferring process conditions and getting equal final film properties are not ensured. To address this problem, this paper presents a scale-independent scale-up/scale-down strategy to produce films with consistently similar properties regardless of a plant’s size and design. A second aim is to prove this strategy is applicable by comparing the reference and experimental film mechanical properties. Here, experimental scale-down runs were carried out based on a process-oriented scale-up/scale-down strategy for the blown film process. An industrial production process (>800 kg/h), successfully transferred to a laboratory-scale blown film line, was used as the reference. The introduced process-oriented scale-up/scale-down is based on geometric and dynamic similarity. In this context, blow-up ratio, draw-down ratio and process time have been identified as major scale-up/scale-down variables. Unlike existing scale-up strategies, the process-oriented approach is more flexible in practice. Film mechanical properties taken from the experimental runs were determined by tensile and puncture resistance tests. The compared results confirmed that process-oriented scale-up/scale-down is feasible for the applied material and under the existing plant-specific restrictions. The comparison indicated that most film properties produced on the laboratory-scale plant were comparable to those from the high-capacity blown film line.
