Ouriachi, Katia. „Si la philosophie m’était contée : figures de philosophes dans les fictions narratives contemporaines“. Electronic Thesis or Diss., Sorbonne université, 2023. http://www.theses.fr/2023SORUL168.
Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis thesis analyzes the renegotiation of the relationship between literature and philosophy in narrative fiction at the turn of the 20th and 19th centuries, through the representation of philosophical figures. These figures, which the author sees as objects of value, reveal a claim to the cognitive scope of fiction and the proximity of novelistic thought to philosophical discourse. In the 20th century, the philosopher was the foil of the artist, the thought of the novel took shape against him, manifesting itself in fictional essays. Today, while philosophy is increasingly staged and valorized within fiction, theoretical developments in fiction are rarer. Fiction thus asserts that its own regime of veracity lies in its capacity to imagine. Staging philosophers allows to articulate living and thinking. By emphasizing the story of the philosopher's life and actions, fictional narrative brings philosophical thought down into the realm of sensible experience, and puts it to the test. Literature is often presented as the place where discourses of knowledge come undone. But contemporary texts are part of a form of thought that is enriched by its proximity to philosophy. A dynamic relationship between philosophical discourse and the thinking of the novel is emerging. Where the novel of the previous century thought against philosophy, today's novel thinks with philosophy. Renewing the dialogue with philosophy, the narrative renews its own aesthetic. Contemporary authors are forging original narrative forms to tell the story of philosophy, rather than to expound it
Gibert, Ledot Gwenaelle. „Des vies habitées par un rêve : Voltaire et Brecht dans trois fictions biographiques de Jacques-Pierre Amette“. Thesis, Normandie, 2018. http://www.theses.fr/2018NORMC005/document.
Der volle Inhalt der QuelleSeveral works by Jacques-Pierre Amette, which focus on great writers such as Brecht and Voltaire, comprise the subject of this dissertation. They arise out of the genre of biographical fiction, and intertextuality plays an essential role in them. The question of reference generally, and more particularly the complex relationship between biographical fiction and the historical referent, constitutes a primary area of reflection. The process of fictionalization of lived experience and the literary work (as well as critical discourses inspired by it), which is at the heart of current analyses of the fictionalized biography, is envisioned here in light of numerous recent works, the main arguments of which are explored and systematically challenged. One of the purposes of this study is to attempt to describe the specificity with which J-P Amette treats this genre. The hypothesis set forth is that this specificity could privilege the myth of Icarus as a representation of the writer, according to particular modalities. At the heart of this interpretation, the demonstration of which will involve an interrogation of Riffaterrianne semiotics of intertextuality, an examination of the authorial figure emerges, which reiterates one of Amette’s major preoccupations, namely the status of the contemporary writer
Thesis, Pau, 2018. http://www.theses.fr/2018PAUU1041/document.
Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe aim of this thesis is to read through the media hosts that are the literature, comics and cinema, the presence of pictorial elements in biographical fiction. Here is about a comparative study that considers art as a construction’s place but also the conservation of the history in general and artistic history in particular. In general, the interactions between the pictorial and other arts take two ways. The first way or orientation is the reconstitution of the pictorial field and it's functioning. And the second way or orientation goes through the reappropriation of techniques and means of creation producing pictorial effects with other artistic forms. The insertion of the pictorial may suggests a clear tension between the host media and the inserted form and the result is divided between opacity and transparency; homogeneity and heterogeneity of the host media
Sadeghian, Saeed. „La « fiction biographique » : une étude comparée en contexte français et iranien“. Thesis, Paris 10, 2020. http://www.theses.fr/2020PA100083.
Der volle Inhalt der QuelleBiographical writing is presented as one of the major practices of contemporary French literature. A practice interpreted as a reappearance aiming to correlate the revival of individualism and the contamination of the present regime of historicity with an obsession of the past. One of the multiple forms of contemporary life writing is « biographical fiction » which links the authors in their desire to restore the life of the Other past within texts indicated by their reluctance in respect with the codes of the standard biography. Far from this rich landscape in expressions, biography could not easily be expressed in contemporary Persian literature. This difference arises the question of knowing the reasons which distinguish the fate of the biographical genre in the French and Iranian contexts. To outline some elements of the answers, this thesis proposes both a contextual historical study and an intercontextual sociological comparison: the first draws up a table of biographical expressions forms in Persian literature to draw a line of evolution; the second provides the opportunity to bring together two social contexts and two literary systems, to talk about the elements that support or hinder the biographical production beyond the auctorial ambition. However, a textual analysis is in charge of highlighting this auctorial ambition through the vehicle that each author takes to respond to the generic challenges of biographical writing in the romantic regime
Oumansour, Brahim. „Histoire et fiction dans l'American Chronicle de Gore Vidal : le biographique à l'âge herméneutique“. Thesis, Paris 3, 2014. http://www.theses.fr/2014PA030091.
Der volle Inhalt der QuelleGore Vidal’s historical novels are well suited for a discussion of the relationship between history and fiction. Vidal’s perspective draws from a current of postmodern thought which accepts history as legitimate grounds for casting doubt upon the metanarratives upon which modern knowledge is based. In assuming this perspective, Vidal accepts its paradoxical premises: showing an unprecedented interest in history while questioning historical truth. Vidal’s writing invites readers to doubt the existence of a strong border between literary and historical narratives to identify the ways in which these narratives mutually engage in literary borrowing and differentiation, and then to assess their impact on the reception and representation of reality. The question of subjectivity in history resulting from political commitment will also be considered, along with the impact of personal experience, reflected in the interest in current affairs, empathy and the political issues of memory. Vidal’s simultaneously tragic and radical narrative contests the ideas of progress and « American exceptionalism » which dominate official history, by focusing instead on rhetorical metaphor, and on the role of individuals and accidents in history. This narrative encourages an exploration of the concept of empire in light of a certain drift in the doctrinal approach mobilized in Vidal’s novels. This study gives rise to the discussion relating to the different historical interpretations which connect American history to capitalism and imperialism
Brichler, Claude. „La biographie à la frontière de l'histoire et de la fiction : stefan Zweig (1881-1942)“. Thesis, Metz, 2009. http://www.theses.fr/2009METZ007L.
Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe searchers have insisted on the poetic prose from Stefan Zweig but on the psychology alike. Thanks to this empathy for his figures, Zweig draws nearer to them and draws us nearer to them too. In every biography the feelings come to light to let us recognized them like universal feelings. But how can he transmit them on another wise as the fiction ? This author doesn't build a fictionalized biography through a chronological continuation but rather trough a choosen frame. These authentic feelings will come to light through historical events to prove a character. From a biography to the other, Zeig progress in his biographical fresco to show a spiritual genealogy. He composes his biographies as several literaries ways and place them side to side to appreciate the secret of their creativity. The biographies seem to deliver the secret of a reflexion of the artistic creation. His writer's project renews with authors, reveals his juvenile fascination for inacessible poets from Vienna
Thesis, Paris 4, 2012. http://www.theses.fr/2012PA040266.
Der volle Inhalt der QuelleWolfgang Hilbig’s prose and poetry bring into play a large number of topoï, clichés and scenarios of the poetical life and of theartistic calling, both in a critical and in a legitimating way. They function as a response to the unlikely vocation as a writer of a selftaught,East German proletarian. In Hilbig’s work, poet or writer characters convey an authorial poetology that appear as a legacy of Romanticism and Modernity, which the paradoxical figure of Kaspar Hauser particularly stands for. Interpreted as a literary, phantasmatic and mythical construct resulting from the work itself, authorship consists here in a theory of literature embodied by models of art-dedicated lives. The figures of the loss of balance, the motif of the letter and the narratological device of the authorial metalepsis are read as means of staging the situation of the poet, the text/author relationship and the fictionalization of the author. Those are the bases of Hilbig’s existential project of self-literarization. Finally, Hilbig’s texts sketch life scenarios that thwart the predestination model, exploring the unlikely vocation through figures such as the circle, the explosion, the jump and the event, all of which go against the linear model of redestination that rely on temporality. As an alternative to this outward biography, this exoteric life, Hilbig’s work tracks the movements of a secret, unreadable and nameless esoteric life where vocation develops as a promise of eternity. The question of authorship in Hilbig’s work cannot be separated from a meditation on time and an idealistic perception of the world
Lejeune-Robet, Corine. „Scriptor in fabula : essai de conceptualisation d'une pratique d'écriture créative“. Thesis, Aix-Marseille, 2019. http://www.theses.fr/2019AIXM0122.
Der volle Inhalt der QuelleMy PhD Thesis « Pratique et Théorie de la Création Littéraire » is a two-headed piece of work. In the first part, a novel and a collection of prompts designed for creative writing worshops are to be found. The room of Ignatius is a fictional piece written in between the first fragments of The autobiography of saint Ignatius of Loyola. My decision has been to give new fictional options to the saint’s official biography, using for instance interventions by Doña Magdalena, Ignatius of Loyola’s sister-in-law.Two sixteenth-century voices share my narration and converse with twentieth-century voices which unknowingly relate to Ignatius’ conversion. Writing With a Writer is a collection of creative writing workshop scenarios using a scriptor in fabula, a new narrator within the already-known story. That’s how I would like to introduce my work as a creative writer. The second part of my dissertation is a piece of literary criticism. As The room of Ignatius is based on an exofictional type of intertextuality, I have tried to understand what kind of literary devices, in both hypotexts The autobiography of saint Ignatius of Loyola and Spiritual Exercises, led Ignatius to convert – memorial pastiche and empathy are among those devices. Likewise, in the biographical fiction, the inventio aspect is as a secondary text where the act of writing displays itself. Lastly, any workshop prompt using published texts as creative material is a variation on the scriptor in fabula motif which, in turn, echoes the fictional voice of the writer-facilitator

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe period after independence in Ireland saw the emergence of a new generation of writers eager to promote a literature described as ‘realist’. This realism, which can be understood as a form of anti-idealism, was inspired by literary motivations, but also by motives that were both political and identity driven. In this, it was in tune with the approach of a historiographical movement of the same period, later qualified as revisionism, which aimed at nuancing the dominant nationalist narrative of history. In parallel to their works of fiction, a number of realist writers, including Sean O’Faolain, chose to approach history from the angle of historical biography. Situated at the frontier between history and literature, these biographies were at once historiographical and literary in their intentions, thus giving authors, who were hampered by the censorship regime in place, an avenue of expression in which they could give free rein to their literary sensibilities. On the other hand, fiction, by infiltrating the biographies, and by imposing its tempo, contributed to some extent to the revising of history. Beyond their function as refuge, the biographies can be seen as a laboratory in which the biographer elaborates antidotes to the ills that afflict fictional writing of the period while at the same time perfecting key set pieces of his realist fiction. The biographical character concentrates within him the political and literary tensions of which the author is seeking to divest himself. His realist aesthetic matures as the realist landscapes become ever more steeped in history and bring more realist representations to his fiction. Biography having accommodated fiction and memory in turn permeates the realist fiction in a decisive way, to the point of redefining its themes, its functioning and its form
Tremblay, Alexandre. „Giles Lytton Strachey et la "nouvelle biographie" dans un contexte historiographique postmoderne“. Thesis, Aix-Marseille, 2017. http://www.theses.fr/2017AIXM0485.
Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe objective of this thesis attempts to illustrate a series of principles which could potentially lead to a theorisation of biographical writing. By exposing prosaic literary examples of the XIX century and certain theoretical bases of the XXI century, it is possible to depict recurrences that have contributed to the success or failure of various biographical works. Giles Lytton Strachey (1880-1932) as a biographer, essayist and critic appears to be the ideal subject that enables one to analyse the relationship between biographers, biographees and readers. Furthermore, the structural scheme of metahistory, as suggested by Hayden White, brings us one step closer to the assumption that biography can stand as a full-fledged genre both in terms of form and substance
Mongelli, Marco. „Narrer une vie, dire la vérité ˸ la biofiction contemporaine“. Thesis, Sorbonne Paris Cité, 2019. http://www.theses.fr/2019USPCA026/document.
Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis thesis aims to analyse a contemporary and transnational literary phenomenon: biofiction. The dissertation combines a historical interest in the practice of biography, with a theoretical and analytical perspective for the way in which biographical accounts were invested by fiction, and a critical and comparative attention for specific contemporary texts. A taxonomy proposal of the many different forms of literary biographies is accompanied by the desire to describe the poetics of contemporary biofiction, its literary challenges and its extra-literary implications (historiographical, sociological, philosophical, political): the aim is to evaluate the epistemological and heuristic consistency of biofiction as an interpretative category of reality. From a methodological point of view, the analyses of the millennial evolution of the biographical is followed by the study of the birth and development of hybrid forms in the second half of the twentieth century, in the West, with the purpose of tracing a specific genealogy of the biofictional genre, taking into account the pioneering texts, those that anticipate a certain poetic or dominant aesthetic tension. Subsequently, the work proposes a comparative analysis of some contemporary texts, above all Italian and French, based on different textual criteria and through the tools of narratology. Firstly, the hybrid character, between document and invention, of biofiction (and therefore the coexistence of referential materials and fictional techniques) is evaluated; at the same time, special attention is given to the narrative voice: by questioning the place that it occupies within the story and analysing its function, it is possible to grasp the reasons for the use of biographical discourse in contemporary récits, and at the same time to verify how these kind of narratives try to say a precise and original truth about a particular man.As underlined by the title of the thesis, the specific connection that links the life narrative and the expression of a truth about that life is the heart of this research, the key to analysing biofictional works in their specificity and its ways of conceiving the reconstruction of a particular identity and of individual and collective, public and private memory
