[Truncated abstract] The Ferrars are remembered as exemplars of Anglican piety. The London merchant family quit the city in 1625 and moved to the isolated manor of Little Gidding in Huntingdonshire. There they pursued a life of corporate devotion, supervised by the head of the household, Nicholas Ferrar, until he died in December 1637. To date, the life of the pious deacon Nicholas Ferrar has been the focus of histories of Little Gidding, which are conventionally hagiographical and give little consideration to the experiences of other members of the family, not least the many women in the household. Further, customary representations of the Ferrars have tended to remove them from their seventeenth-century context. Countering the biographical trend that has obscured many details of their communal life, this thesis provides a new, critical reading of the family's years at Little Gidding while Nicholas Ferrar was alive. It examines the Ferrars in terms of their own time, as far as possible using contemporary documents instead of later accounts and confessional mythology. It shows that, while certain aspects of life at Little Gidding were unusual, on the whole the family was less exceptional than traditional histories have implied; certainly the family was not so unified and unworldly as the idealised images have suggested. Moreover, the Ferrars were actively engaged in making those images, for immediate effect and for posterity. The Ferrars' identities, corporate and individual, and their largely textual practices of self-fashioning are central to the study. Other key concerns are the Ferrars' moral and religious ideals and practices, gender in the family, and intra-familial relationships. Evidence for the thesis is drawn from family documents dating from the early years of the seventeenth century to the time of Nicholas Ferrar's death. ... The Little Academy is considered first: in this unique dialogue circle, young women discussed morally edifying historical tales, offering them a textually-mediated experience of the world and working to reinforce conventional gender roles and religious values. The final three chapters pertain to the copious and little-studied family correspondence. A chapter that develops a theory of the functions of the family correspondence network is followed by one studying the affective relationships that the celibate sisters Mary and Anna Collet maintained through their letters with their unmarried uncle and spiritual mentor, Nicholas Ferrar. These chapters consider the identities as single people that all three developed through these relationships, within the maritally-focused framework of the Protestant family. The last chapter also concerns the lives of the unmarried, examining the relationships of single male adults and their roles in the family, focusing on the friendship of Nicholas Ferrar and his cousin Arthur Woodnoth. The thesis closes by reflecting on the fact that returning the Ferrars to their seventeenth-century context reveals their multi-faceted nature, comprising ideals and identities sometimes incongruous with one another, and certainly unaccounted for in the traditional narratives. It thus demonstrates the importance of the overall project of reconceiving the Ferrars? history, which forms an original contribution to the study of the social, cultural and religious history of early seventeenth-century England.

Les manuscrits du groupe Farrar – appelés aussi famille 13 – comptent parmi les témoins de premier ordre du Nouveau Testament grec. Pour l’Evangile de Marc, onze manuscrits – tous copiés en écriture minuscule – sont actuellement reconnus : neuf tétraévengiles, un lectionnaire et un Nouveau Testament complet. De par leurs caractéristiques textuelles spécifiques ils appartiennent au type de texte dit « césaréen ». La première partie de ce travail porte sur la mise en perspective des quatre premiers manuscrits de ce groupe, dans des éditions imprimées : Nouveau Testament grec, répertoires catalographiques, de 1670 à la fin du dix-neuvième siècle. Cette histoire des éditions souligne le rôle essentiel joué par ces quatre témoins dans l’histoire de la critique textuelle néotestamentaire. L’élaboration d’un nouveau stemma pour le groupe Farrar dans l’Evangile de Marc prend appui sur l’édition intégrale du texte publié ici pour la première fois. L’ensemble de la collation, basée sur l’édition de Legg de 1935, représente 4631 lieux variants. L’édition de ce texte conduit à une enquête minutieuse de critique verbale, de critique interne et de critique externe. Elle montre que l’archétype du groupe, nommé x, s’est divisé en trois branches : a, qui regroupe cinq manuscrits dont un fortement contaminé par le texte byzantin ; c, qui rassemble trois manuscrits, et b, qui ne compte que deux descendants ; l’un de ceux-ci est le témoin le plus proche de l’archétype. Manuscripts of the Farrar Group – also called Family 13 – are first class witnesses of the Greek New Testament. Concerning Mark’s Gospel, eleven manuscripts – all copied in minuscule writing – are officially accepted: nine contain the four Gospels, one is a lectionary, the last one a complete New Testament. Because of their textual peculiar readings, they both belong to the so-called text-type “caesarean”. The first part of the thesis gives a wide outlook on the four first manuscripts of this group in the printed editions of Greek New Testament and manuscript catalogues, from 1670 to the end of the 19th century. The history of these editions points out the leading role of theses codices in the New Testament textual criticism. The edition of the text of the Ferrar manuscripts for the Gospel of Mark is given here for the very first time. The collations of the manuscripts, based on the Legg edition (1935), represent 4631 readings. The stemma codicum takes place on these collations. All kinds of textual criticism are meticulously detailed on the survey as internal and external evidence. It states that the archetype of the group, called x, is divided into three branches: a, which consists in five manuscripts whom one is strongly byzantine contaminated; c, which represents three manuscripts and b, which only has two manuscripts. One manuscript of this b-group certainly is the nearest to the archetype of Family 13. The study finally points out some peculiar reading for all these branches. The survey makes an end with a bibliography composed by 873 files divides in 382 authors

O presente relatório de Equity Research tem por objectivo determinar o justo valor da fabricante italiana de supercarros de luxo, Ferrari. Nesse sentido, um preço-alvo para o final do ano de 2018 foi desenvolvido e posteriormente concretizado numa recomendação de investimento, tendo por base o processo de avaliação e o preço actual da acção. A primeira etapa do processo de avaliação compreende uma breve análise macroeconómica da indústria em que a empresa se insere, seguida de uma análise operacional. Posteriormente segue-se um tratamento de dados financeiros fundamentais para o desenvolvimento do modelo de Discount Cash Flow (DCF) e para o modelo de avaliação relativa com em base em Múltiplos. O modelo de Discount Cash Flow (DCF) deriva um preço por acção no final de 2018 de € 121.21. Em contraste, a abordagem via múltiplos é ligeiramente mais conservadora, com um valor-alvo por acção de € 115.36. Em 30 de Junho de 2018, o preço da acção em mercado foi fixado em € 116.50, o que deixa espaço para um potencial de valorização de cerca de 4%, considerando o valor obtido através do modelo DCF. O rendimento futuro dos dividendos é esperado ser de 0.70%. Desde o início do ano, o retorno anual da acção foi de 36%, juntamente com uma volatilidade anual de 31%, valores estes que podem ser explicados em certa medida pela ainda recente IPO e a consequente descoberta de preço pelo mercado.
The present equity research report aims to determine the fair value of the Italian Supercar manufacturer, Ferrari. In that sense, a target price towards the end of 2018 is developed and concretized in an investment recommendation given the outcome of the process of due diligence followed by the respective business valuation. The first step of the valuation process comprehends an analysis of both the industry where the company operates and its operational activity. Subsequently, the assumptions and the forecasted financials are present as they represent the fundamental quantitative data where both the discounted cash flow and multiples valuation models rely on. The discounted cash flow model (DCF) derives a share price towards the end of 2018 of €121.21. By contrast, the multiples approach is slightly more conservative with a share value of €115.36. On 30th of June 2018 the market share price was set at €116.50 which leaves room for an upside potential of about 4% given the DCF target share value. The forward dividend yield is expected to be 0.70%. Since the beginning of the year, the annual stock return averaged 36% with an annual volatility of 31%.

This thesis comprises two components: an extract of The Angel of Ferrara, a historical novel, and a critical commentary entitled What is history doing in Fiction? The novel is set in the Italian city of Ferrara in February, 1579, a jewel of the Renaissance at the height of its powers but deep in debt. Amid the aristocratic pomp and popular festivities surrounding the duke’s marriage to his third wife, the secret child of the city’s most celebrated singer goes missing. A street-smart debt collector and lovelorn bureaucrat help her increasingly desperate attempts to find her son, their efforts uncovering the brutal instruments of ostentation and domination that gave rise to what we now know as the Renaissance. In the critical commentary, I draw on the experience writing The Angel of Ferrara, together with my own historical works, to explore the relationship between history and fiction. Beginning with a survey of the development of historical fiction since the inception of the genre’s modern form with the Walter Scott’s Waverley, I analyze the various paratextual interventions—prefaces, authors’ notes, acknowledgements—authors have used in their attempts to explore and explain the use of factual research in their works. I draw on this to reflect in more detail at how research shaped the writing of the Angel of Ferrara and other recent historical novels, in particular Hilary Mantel’s Wolf Hall. I then examine the issue form the opposite perspective: the use of fictional devices such as narrative in history, considering whether or not this compromises or enhances the authority and validity of historical work. I end by critically examining the prevailing notion that the borderline between fiction and history has become blurred, arguing that, while each influences the other, the distinction is one of type rather than degree.

Esta é uma leitura dos exílios de Ferreira Gullar e León Ferrari, durante as últimas ditaduras militares que tomaram conta do Cone Sul, incluindo Brasil e Argentina. Entre 1971 e 1977, Gullar passou por Moscou, Santiago, Lima e Buenos Aires, além de outras cidades, enquanto Ferrari, por sua vez, estabeleceu-se com sua família em São Paulo do final de 1976 até 1984, sendo que após esse período ainda dividiria por alguns anos a sua permanência entre a capital paulista e Buenos Aires. Alguns de seus mais notáveis trabalhos foram realizados no exílio, de modo que a configuração de uma paisagem ou cena exílica torna-se indissociável das experiências conduzidas com a linguagem. Em poucas palavras: embora marcado pela tanatopolítica castrense e pelo nomos gestor do capital global, é possível afirmar que o exílio não está dado de antemão e nem permanece sempre o mesmo, quer seja como dano ou como dádiva; é somente com a linguagem  a imagem, o sensível  que uma experiência exílica, sempre singular e radicalmente contemporânea, pode encontrar a sua superfície de exposição, quer dizer, a sua diferença. Conquanto sejam profundamente dessemelhantes, os exílios de Ferreira Gullar e León Ferrari não deixam de mostrar afinidades, sobretudo nos momentos em que suas experiências tocam um ponto comum: o espaço  um topos  a-tópico da impropriedade, da potência, da in-operatividade que, com a linguagem, resiste indomesticável às tentativas de cristalização da língua, do povo, do poder, da nação. Foucault, Saer, Coccia e outros autores franqueiam um pensamento da ficção enquanto construção contingencial capaz de desnaturalizar os usos do discurso e a teleologia que assedia constantemente a literatura, as artes, a história. De certo modo, a ficção ¬repete, expõe e portanto difere as fábulas, ao mesmo tempo em que expõe e difere a si mesma. É essa operação in-operante, esse trabalho afirmativo da negatividade que suspende a maquinaria imunitária, autonomista, da civilização ocidental e cristã.

Abstract : This is a reading of both Ferreira Gullar and León Ferrari s exiles, during the last military dictatorships that took account of the Southern Cone, including Brazil and Argentina. Between 1971 and 1977, Gullar went through Moscow, Santiago, Lima and Buenos Aires, and other cities, while Ferrari settled with his family in São Paulo from late 1976 until 1984, and thereafter still divided for a few years his stay between São Paulo and Buenos Aires. Some of his most notable works were carried out in exile, so that the configuration of an exilic landscape or scene becomes inseparable from experiments conducted with language. In short, although marked by military thanatopolitics and the nomos of global capital manager, it is possible to say that exile is not given in advance and not always remains the same, whether as damage or as a gift; it is only with the language  the image, the sensible  that an exilic experience, always singular and radically contemporary, can find its exposure surface, that is, its difference. While they are profoundly dissimilar, Ferreira Gullar and León Ferrari s exiles show their affinities, particularly at times when their experiences play a common point: the space  a topos  a-topic of the impropriety, potency, of in-operativity that, together with language, resists untamable against all crystallization attempts on the idiom, people, power, and nation. Foucault, Saer, Coccia and other authors frank a thought of fiction as a contingency construction able to denature the uses of speech and the teleology that constantly haunts literature, arts, and history. In a way, fiction repeats, exposes and therefore differs fables, while exposes and differs itself. It is this in-operative operation, this affirmative work of negativity that suspends the immunitary machinery of Christian Western civilization.

El Perú es una economía pequeña y abierta al exterior, que necesita empresas exportadoras competitivas para prosperar contribuyendo a aumentar las exportaciones no tradicionales con valor agregado. Las ferias internacionales son un instrumento de marketing internacional generalmente usadas por las empresas exportadoras. A pesar de las ventajas que presentan las ferias internacionales, las empresas exportadoras peruanas tienen una limitada participación en ellas. No existe evidencia que muestre cómo las empresas expositoras peruanas evalúan su participación en ferias internacionales. El objetivo principal del presente estudio es analizar a través de qué dimensiones las empresas expositoras evalúan su desempeño ferial en las ferias internacionales Perú Moda y Perú Gift del año 2010. Para ello se decidió trabajar con un modelo de desempeño ferial de las empresas expositoras que incluye una dimensión basada en los resultados de ventas y cuatro en el comportamiento (obtención de información, imagen empresarial, motivación del personal y relaciones con los clientes). Debido a la naturaleza y objetivos del estudio se realizó un censo con todos los casos de empresas expositoras del sector textil-confecciones y de artesanías. El estudio es cuantitativo y se determinó como instrumento de recolección de datos a la encuesta. Como resultado se observa que el foco para las empresas expositoras peruanas, radica en la dimensión “ventas”, y en menor medida en las dimensiones “información comercial”, “relaciones comerciales”, “imagen empresarial” o “motivación de personal”. --- Peru is a small outward competitive economy that need exporters to thrive, helping to increase non-traditional value-added exports. International trade fairs are an international marketing instrument usually used by the companies. Despite the benefits of international trade fairs, Peruvian exporting companies have a limited participation as exhibitors in them. There is no evidence to show how Peruvian exhibitors assessed their participation in international trade fairs. The main objective of the study is to analyze through which dimensions exhibiting companies evaluate their exhibition performance at international trade fairs Peru Moda and Peru Gift 2010. It was therefore decided to work with a model of trade fair performance of exhibiting companies including a dimension based on sales results and four dimensions based on behavior (obtaining information, corporate image, staff motivation and customer relationships). Due to the nature and objectives of the study a survey was conducted with all cases of exhibiting companies from the textile-apparel sector and crafts, who have maintained continuous participation (at least 4 of the 7 annual fairs held since 2008 to 2014). The study is quantitative and survey was determined as data collection instrument. As result it is observed that the focus for Peruvian exhibitors, lies in the dimension "sales", and to a lesser extent in the dimensions "commercial information", "business relationships", "corporate image "or "personnel motivation". Aquesta tesi té per objectiu analitzar i comprendre la capacitat de Ferrer Saiol com a traductor de l’Opus agriculturae de Pal•ladi. D’aquesta traducció, redactada pels volts del 1385, en conservem dos exemplars posteriors, un en català (València, Biblioteca Municipal Serrano Morales, 6437) i un en castellà (Madrid, Biblioteca Nacional de España, 10211), que ens ajuden a entendre fins a quin punt Saiol comprèn l’obra llatina i de quines fonts disposava per al seu treball. Dividim aquest estudi en tres seccions. La primera versa sobre la difusió de l’Opus agriculturae durant l’Edat Mitjana i el Primer Renaixement. Incloem la pervivència de l’obra pal•ladiana a la Corona d’Aragó i la traducció del protonotari Ferrer Saiol. En la segona secció analitzem els dos testimonis conservats i la seva filiació; examinem les fonts llatines emprades per Ferrer; i realitzem una anàlisi del tresor lexicogràfic, morfològic i sintàctic, nucli del nostre estudi. La tercera és una edició del llibre primer de l’Opus agriculturae en què incloem el text llatí canònic i les dues versions iberorromàniques.
The aim of this thesis is to analyse and to understand Ferrer Saiol's skills as a translator of Palladius' Opus agriculturae. Only two manuscripts of this translation written around 1385 have reached us: one of them, in Catalan, (from Biblioteca Municipal Serrano Morales in Valencia, 6437) and the other one, in Spanish, (from Biblioteca Nacional de España in Madrid, 10211). Both texts help us to discern which Ferrer Saiol’s comprehension of the Latin work was and which sources were followed to make his translation. Our thesis is divided into three parts. The first one deals with Opus agriculturae’s dissemination during the Middle Ages and the First Renaissance. It also includes the presence to the Palladian work in the Kingdom of Aragon as well as Saiol’s translation. The second section analyses both preserved testimonies and their filiation by examining the Latin sources used by Ferrer and it studies their lexicographical, morphological and syntactic treasure, which is the core of our thesis. The third part consists of an edition of the Opus agriculturae first book, that includes the canonical Latin text and both Ibero-Romance versions.

Poete mineur des xveme-xvieme siecles italiens, entre boiardo et arioste, le cieco semble avoir travaille essentiellement pour une cour secondaire des gonzague et sans doute pour les este. La seule oeuvre qui nous soit parvenue de lui est le mambrien, roman chevaleresque probablement compose entre 1490 et 1502, qui a connu un fort succes commercial. En depit d'une apparente dichotomie entre premiere et deuxieme partie, l'oeuvre se presente de facon relativement structuree et son analyse met en evidence a la fois une grande dependance de la rhetorique canterina et une certaine imitation de boiardo. Le point fort du roman est constitue par l'insertion dans la trame guerriere de nouvelles clairement erotico-comiques qui contribuent a alleger la narration, par un effet calcule de variatio. En depit de l'insertion de metaphores grivoises et d'un processus de rabaissement des personnages parfois parodique, par rapport a la tradition, le roman se veut volontiers moralisateur; c'est meme la une de ses caracteristiques dominantes. Au demeurant, son succes au xvieme siecle est tel que, un peu plus tard, de grands poetes comme l'arioste et le tasse ne dedaignent pas de s'en inspirer. Minor poet of the fifteenth-sixteenth century between boiardo and ariosto, the cieco seems to have worked principally for a gonzague's secondary court and may be for the este. His only one work which remains today is the mambriano, chivalric poem probably written between 1490 and 1502, which has had a great commercial success. In spite of an apparent difference between the first and the second part, the poem appears relatively structured, and its analysis shows both a great dependance from the rhetoric canterina and an imitation of boiardo. For a part the interest of this poem lies in the insertion in the warrior adventures of some short stories, clearly erotics and comicals, which contribute to lighten the narration with a calculated effect of variatio. In spite of the insertion of saucy metaphor and of a process of reduction for the characters in relation to the tradition, the poem is willingly moralizing; and it is one of its principals characteristics. For all that, its success during the sixteenth century is so important that, later, great poets like ariosto and tasso will draw one's inspiration from some episodes of the mambriano. For all these reasons, the cieco marks a real stage in the chivalric poem's evolution between boiardo and ariosto

Una primera aproximació d’aquest estudi, molt preliminar, la vam fer quan varem presentar la tesina l’any 2008. El resultat final, però, el presentem en aquest treball en el que procurarem mostrar, estudiar i analitzar la vida artística i l’obra d’Agustí Ferrer Pino, fins aquest moment quasi bé inèdita. Podríem dir que intentarem rememorar un pintor pràcticament desconegut en l’àmbit català i poc reconegut en la seva població d’origen, Sitges. Potser pel tipus d’obra, per les seves circumstàncies, per com era ell, per haver estat de Sitges... mai no acabat de quallar un nom i una obra dispersa en les col•leccions particulars de moltes famílies sitgetanes. Ara que hem descobert el seu fosc amagatall volem il•luminar-lo amb un estudi en profunditat, de la mateixa manera que altres pintors més o menys emparentats cronològica i conceptualment també l’han tingut. El present treball s’estructurarà en tres volums: El primer volum, que abraçarà el cos total del treball sobre Agustí Ferrer Pino, estarà dividit en dues parts. En la primera part es desenvoluparà el marc històric i estètic en el que s’inscriu gran part de la trajectòria artística d’Agustí Ferrer. Essencialment, s’estudiarà el període noucentista de començaments del segle XX a Catalunya, però sense oblidar les altres corrents estètiques que cohabitaren i s’interpel•laren durant el Noucentisme. En aquesta primera part, també li voldrem dedicar una especial atenció al context artístic que configura a Sitges com una població important en el mapa cultural de la Catalunya de començaments de segle. En la segona part entrarem a fons en l’estudi i anàlisi d’Agustí Ferrer i la seva obra. També, com a pintor muralista, pretenem dedicar un espai diferencial a la localització i estudi de les seves pintures murals més importants. En el segon volum es presentarà la proposta d’una primera catalogació de l’obra d’Agustí Ferrer Pino (dibuix i pintura). En el tercer i últim volum es presentarà l’apèndix documental de la relació d’articles localitzats en diaris i revistes referents a Ferrer Pino, els seus escrits inèdits i la seva documentació, que haurem fet servir per la construcció d’aquesta tesi.

This dissertation inserts itself in the line of "Formation, knowledge and professional Development" in the PPGE - Program of Post-Graduation in Education of the UFSM - Federal University of Saint Maria. In this work, I considered myself to know the knowledge and the representations, of Helena Ferrari Teixeira, councilman and operating teacher in the decade of 40, in the city of Saint Maria. To know and to analyze the History of Life of this singular teacher, of significant importance for the History of the Women in Brazil, the Education and the Politics had been some of the objectives of this research. To (re)construct its History, I used the Biographical Method Histories of Life, in the Verbal modality, basing itself, also, in other forms of documentation such as periodicals, photographs, depositions and other carried through research already. Of this inquiry, first, had resulted some interviews with the main personage and the collaborators, who had passed for an analytical work, to the light of theoretical referential in the thematic of Sort, memory, Verbal History, Knowledge etc. The (re)construction of the Life History of Helena Ferrari Teixeira, the first woman in Santa Maria in Legislature, was realized also, through interviews with five of its former-pupils. I found in the familiar and/or public archives a significant number of documents and photographs of the teacher, which minutely had been also systemized by me. My work was finished with the production of this composed dissertation for five chapters where, at a first moment, I present the ways that I covered for the arrival to the searched subject, later, I talk with some authors, demonstrating the reason of determined choices in the collection and analysis of the data and in the proper construction of the work. In the following chapter I pass through the quarrel of [re]construction of Histories of Life, having as collaborating and citizen-source people of the third age. And, the sequential chapters, I went deep in the History of Life, properly said, of Helena Ferrari Teixeira, composing this production through its own staffs and professionals. Being thus, I believe that to the look to the knowledge of the professors of a time provided to me to a new signification of other times and lived spaces and meanings for me today. From this, I believe that, looking at the daily knowledge of the professors can, and is, showing itself as one more excellent alternative in the production and/or new signification of the professors knowledge and practical.
Esta dissertação se insere na linha de Formação, Saberes e Desenvolvimento profissional no PPGE Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação da UFSM Universidade Federal de Santa Maria. Nesse trabalho, propus-me conhecer os saberes e as representações, de Helena Ferrari Teixeira, vereadora e professora atuante na década de 40, na cidade de Santa Maria. Conhecer e analisar a História de Vida desta professora singular, de significativa importância para a História das Mulheres no Brasil, na Educação e na Política foram alguns dos objetivos desta pesquisa. Para (re)construir sua História, utilizei o Método Biográfico Histórias de Vida, na modalidade Oral, alicerçando-se, também, em outras formas de documentação tais como jornais, fotografias, depoimentos e outras pesquisas já realizadas. Dessa investigação, primeiramente, resultaram algumas entrevistas com a personagem principal e com as colaboradoras, que passaram por um trabalho analítico, à luz de referenciais teóricos nas temáticas de Gênero, Memória, História Oral, Saberes etc. A (re)construção da História de Vida de Helena Ferrari Teixeira, a primeira mulher do Legislativo Santa-Mariense, foi realizada ainda, através de entrevistas com cinco de suas ex-alunas. Encontrei nos arquivos familiares e/ou públicos um número significativo de documentos e fotografias da professora, que também foram minuciosamente sistematizados por mim. Meu trabalho finalizou-se com a produção desta dissertação composta por cinco capítulos onde, num primeiro momento, apresento os caminhos que percorri para a chegada ao tema pesquisado, posteriormente, converso com alguns autores, demonstrando o porquê de determinadas escolhas na coleta e análise dos dados e na própria construção do trabalho. No capítulo seguinte perpasso pela discussão da [re]construção de Histórias de Vida, tendo como colaboradores e sujeitos-fonte pessoas da terceira idade. E, nos capítulos seqüentes, aprofundo a História de Vida, propriamente dita, de Helena Ferrari Teixeira, permeando essa produção através de seus saberes pessoais e profissionais. Sendo assim, acredito que ao olhar os saberes dos docentes de uma época proporcionou-me uma ressignificação de outros tempos e espaços vividos e significados por mim hoje. A partir disso, acredito que, olhar os saberes cotidianos dos professores pode e está se mostrando como mais uma alternativa relevante na produção e/ou ressignificação de saberes e práticas docentes.

El trabajo de investigación tiene como objetivo resolver con la estrategia del océano azul el problema de sostenibilidad y la rentabilidad del restaurante, más allá de la fama del chef. La principal preocupación era la dependencia del restaurante a la figura de Ferran Adrià; por ello, inicialmente el trabajo de investigación se enfocó en la búsqueda de la convergencia de toda la red de negocios y utiliza como estrategia principal la diferenciación: se muestra cómo la marca puede ser sostenible con base en la innovación y creatividad. Después de un análisis de propuesta de valor por negocio, observamos que era preferible ejecutar un plan estratégico para cada unidad de negocio que dé forma al grupo. A partir de este criterio, nos concentraremos en el estudio de elBulli como ente generador de marca, puesto que ya se encuentra posicionado en la mente del consumidor (por lo que es recomendable hacer únicamente un seguimiento). Según el estudio de mercado, los factores clave de éxito y los resultados de las encuestas ejecutadas a chefs, se definió el nivel de importancia alto o bajo por cada factor para llegar a la conclusión en la matriz de cuatro acciones. Con respecto al plan estratégico del talento humano, se usará el enfoque moderno ejecutado por los jefes de línea que buscan continuamente a los mejores talentos. Además la gestión del conocimiento estará relacionada a ampliar y difundir el conocimiento individual de Adrià, así como el de los participantes. Esta gestión girará en torno del modelo de Grant, que obtiene la eficiencia de la integración del conocimiento individual y genera que nadie sea indispensable en la organización. Nuestra propuesta será brindar una experiencia única en elBulli, que contará con una galería vivencial histórica de la gastronomía mundial nunca antes puesta en escena. Se mezclará el misterio y la incertidumbre desde el inicio con emociones y experiencias sensoriales inimitables.

Musicians often feel the extremes of highs and lows based on the nature of their work. In order to effectively communicate with an audience, the performer needs to express his or her musical ideas. This form of expression leaves the performer vulnerable, since the audience may either enjoy or disapprove of the performer’s interpretation. With each performance, musicians are evaluated or judged by their peers and audiences as to whether or not they have performed at a level expected. Additionally, to have a successful performance, a musician must put on a good show in order to communicate to the audience. If the performance is not positively received by the audience, the performer may feel ashamed or embarrassed, and may even think that the severe reception reflects the performer’s lack of aptitude as a musician. Furthermore, since musicians dedicate so much of their lives and time to practicing, preparing, and performing, oftentimes their identity revolves around being a successful musician. To speak to the audience successfully, a musician must be vulnerable with his or her performance. However, vulnerability can lead to degradation, and thus, a breakdown of mental health. An unfavorable critique of their performance may also make them feel inadequate as a human and professional. Therefore, musicians often suffer different types of anxiety connected with their performances. Depression is one dominant mental health issue prevalent in many musicians.

Not only is it the professional nature of the musicians’ work that highlights their depression, it is also the creative component of their work that intensifies their depression. Such was the case with Christian Ferras, a French violinist born in 1933. Ferras was considered a prodigy as a violinist and performed with many well known conductors, orchestras, and accompanists. Unfortunately, he battled with his depression throughout his career. Ferras took some time off from performing and teaching from 1967–1975, but ultimately was not able to regain the career that he wanted. In 1982 at the age of forty-nine, Ferras committed suicide by jumping out of his Paris apartment window.

Work first describes the current practices in creating Ferman as the main labour organization document in a theatre environment. It deals with the form of information disclosure in it and its further distribution to interested parties. It also suggests ways to transition to the creation and administration of the Ferman online. It describes and assesses the existing offer of systems for managing and sharing agendas, whether or not are they intended primarily for theatre environment. The last part defines the design of a functional model of system Ferman online - Online system for tasks and leisure time management and sharing in the theatre environment. The thesis defines the system, describes its function, a user's attitudes and their options and shows its options in current and possible future use. Finally, mapping the difficulties of the system implementation refers to the legal issues associated with its development and use, and finally outlines the feasibility of its use.

The rapid modernization of industrial and technological poles spurs the development of new materials, always in search of efficiency and low costs, given that the expression "new materials" does not relate just to the new classes or compounds never seen before but also to the structural modifications in materials already studied. In this context, research using theoretical and experimental models tends Researches using combined theoretical and experimental methods tend to be more and more commonly due to the better correlation between system characteristics and properties. However, a better interpretation can assists in the planning and developing of new materials. In the present study, a set of theoretical and experimental models were built in order to explain the properties and phenomena of semiconductors. The chosen materials were the α-Ag2WO4, β-Ag2MoO4, Co3O4, α- Fe2O3 and In2O3. Characterization techniques of X-Ray difraction, Rietveld refinament, Raman spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy were related with quantum mechanical calculations to a better understanding of the observed results. Theoretical results of band structure and density of states are in agreement with the experimental band gaps.The data showed a creation of new eletronic states on the forbiden region on the band gap due to the criation of structural defects, by means of a impurity or structural changes. The final models were used to a better explanation of the photoluminescent properties modifications. Quantum mechanical calculations were also used to the explanation of a phenomenon caused by electron bombing, which was observed in Ag2WO4 and Ag2MoO4 crystals. In this model, the Ag reduction results in its removal of the clusters generating the Ag metallic filaments on the material surface. Finally, it was created a new approach about the mapping and prediction of crystals morphology that serves as an experimental reference to the comparison between surface and final properties. The presented papers consist in an interdisciplinary research, from fundamental to applications and show how quantum chemical and other theoretical computational means can be used for an understanding of physical and chemical properties of materials for searching a rational materials design.
A rápida modernização dos polos industriais e tecnológicos faz com que o desenvolvimento de novos materiais seja fundamental, sempre pesquisando maiores eficiências e menores custos. Por outro lado, a expressão “novos materiais” não está somente relacionada à uma nova classe ou composto obtidos pela primeira vez, mas também às modificações estruturais de materiais já conhecidos, incluindo o efeito do tamanho, forma e incorporações sinergéticas. Neste contexto, pesquisas usando modelos teórico-experimentais tendem a ser cada vez mais comuns devido à melhor correlação entre características do sistema e propriedades. Por tanto, interpretações mais claras e precisas podem auxiliar no planejamento e desenvolvimento de novos materiais. No presente trabalho, um conjunto de modelos teórico-experimentais foi construído a fim de explicar propriedades e fenômenos de semicondutores. Os semicondutores escolhidos foram: α-Ag2WO4, β-Ag2MoO4, Co3O4, α-Fe2O3 e In2O3. Técnicas de caracterização de Difração de Raios-X, refinamento Rietveld, espectroscopia Raman, microscopia de varredura e microscopia de transmissão foram vinculadas com cálculos mecânico-quânticos para um melhor entendimento dos resultados observados. Resultados teóricos de estrutura de bandas e densidade de orbitais corroboraram com os “band gaps” experimentais. Os dados mostraram a criação de novos estados na região proibida do “band gap” devido à criação de defeitos, por meio de dopagem ou mudanças estruturais. Os modelos finais foram utilizados para melhor explicar as modificações das propriedades fotoluminescentes. Cálculos mecânico-quânticos também foram utilizados para explicar o fenômeno de crescimento de prata em cristais de α-Ag2WO4 e β-Ag2MoO4 com a adição de elétrons. Neste modelo, a redução da prata resulta em seu afastamento dos “clusters” gerando o aparecimento de filamentos de prata metálica na superfície dos materiais. Por fim, foi criada uma nova abordagem sobre o mapeamento e previsão de morfologias de cristais, servindo como um referencial experimental para a comparação entre superfícies e propriedades finais. Os trabalhos presentes consistem em estudos interdiciplinares, do fundamento até a aplicação de diversos materiais, e mostram como a química quântica e outros meios teóricos podem ser usados para o estendimento de propriedades para o “design” de novos materiais.

Although a great deal of documentation on the patronage of Alfonso I d'Este has already been published, music historians and cultural historians have given little attention to Alfonso's style and importance as a patron of the arts. This study aims to marshal the already-available information to examine Alfonso as a patron of music, placing his interest in music firmly within the context of both his other artistic interests and his role in the turbulent political circumstances of his reign. In so doing it adopts analytical tools developed within the fields of cultural and critical theory and current within literary and art history, although thus far only rarely brought to bear on the history of music in what was once called the High Renaissance. In particular, this study looks at Alfonso's patronage through the thematic of identity, seeking to understand the tasks achieved in the construction of the ruler as a princely persona by both large chapel choirs and private music-making. These concerns will be aligned with the demands placed upon Alfonso by the dynastic, political, military and physical context of his reign. In addressing private music-making at Alfonso's court, this study will seek to make unusually extensive use of the decorations of private courtly spaces - which will be found to offer a frame designed quite self-consciously to give meaning to the musical recreations undertaken therein. The resulting picture will substantially revise our current, somewhat haphazard and uncritical view of Alfonso's music patronage, whilst at the same time proposing new ways to read music's meaning at court. Chapters I and II were presented in abridged form at the Medieval and Renaissance Music Conference 2009 in Utrecht. Parts of Chapters III, IV and VI were presented at the Medieval and Renaissance Music Conference 2008 in Bangor, the Royal Music Association's Research Students' Conference 2009 at King's College, London, and the bodies/music conference, Cork, April 2010. Chapter V, in different versions, was presented at the RMA Annual Conference 2006 in Nottingham and the Association of Art Historians' Annual Conference 2008 in London.

Lo studio riguarda la caratterizzazione geochimica dei sedimenti del sito Caretti, situato a est del comune di Ferrara, interessato da un forte caso di contaminazione dovuto alla presenza di due discariche municipali non controllate risalenti agli anni '60-'70. L'obiettivo del lavoro è quello di valutare la geochimica dei sedimenti e delle acque prelevate nel sito al fine di individuare eventuali relazioni tra il chimismo delle due matrici. Inoltre, i dati dell' analisi dei sedimenti sono stati confrontati con quelli di letteratura per delinearne aspetti di provenienza. I dati geochimici dei sedimenti sono stati ottenuti mediante fluorescenza a raggi X (XRF) e sono stati elaborati graficamente e statisticamente, mediante software di analisi statistica (GCDkit). La composizione geochimica delle acque è stata ottenuta mediante tecniche di cromatografia ionica e spettroscopia di assorbimento atomico. La geochimica dei sedimenti ha evidenziato che la composizione chimica mostra associazioni di elementi legate a una componente tessiturale del sedimento. In particolare si rilevano concentrazioni elevate di Fe2O3, Al2O3, TiO2, Cr, Ni, e V in sedimenti a granulometria fine, a differenza delle concentrazioni di SiO2 e Na2O elevate in sedimenti sabbiosi. La distribuzione statistica degli elementi nei sedimenti e nelle acque ha permesso di effettuare una valutazione delle caratteristiche geochimiche dei principali corpi idrogeologici. La caratterizzazione geochimica ha fornito, inoltre, indicazioni sull'origine dei sedimenti. Cromo e Nichel, tra gli elementi in traccia, sono particolarmente efficaci nella valutazione della provenienza permettendo, all'interno del sito Caretti, una distinzione tra popolazioni di provenienza appenninica (bassi valori Cr-Ni) e padana (alti valori Cr-Ni).

Aquesta tesi tracta sobre les relacions entre el rei Ferran II i la Diputació del General del Principat de Catalunya en els primers anys del seu regnat. L’estudi fa especial menció als anys que la principal institució del país va estar intervinguda pel monarca, període que s’inicia l’any 1488 fins el 1494, i la posterior reforma que es va dur a terme amb la introducció del sistema insaculatori per a escollir als seus alts càrrecs, mesura acordada a les Corts celebrades a Barcelona, l’any 1493. L’objectiu de la investigació és analitzar de forma detallada tota la correspondència que es conserva entre el sobirà i els diputats per a conèixer, de primera mà, els motius que van portar al rei d’Aragó a prendre la seva decisió, plantejant també fins a quin punt aquesta va ser necessària. La decisió d’intervenir la Generalitat va generar, des de la segona meitat del segle XIX, un ampli debat entre els historiadors catalans, no sense polèmica. Per una banda estaven els que veien, en la determinació reial, una clara voluntat de controlar i “castellanitzar” la Diputació després dels anys que aquesta havia liderat la oposició al seu pare, el rei Joan II, en el transcurs de la Guerra Civil entre els anys 1462 i 1472. Per l’altra banda estaven els que consideraven, amb Jaume Vicens Vives al capdavant, que la monarquia només buscava reorganitzar -redreçar- la institució sanejant-la econòmicament i modificant el seu sistema de renovació de càrrecs per evitar irregularitats i favoritismes entre els seus membres. La tesi està organitzada en vuit apartats. Després d’una breu introducció, el primer capítol realitza una revisió de tota la bibliografia relacionada i publicada en relació amb la Diputació del General, des de la seva creació en les Corts de Cervera de 1359 fins a la mort de Joan II. Aquest repàs fa referència a totes les publicacions que tracten el període des del segle XV fins els nostres dies. El segon capítol analitza el funcionament de la Diputació a partir de la seva pròpia legislació. Aquest apartat és fonamental per a conèixer la seva estructura de govern i ajuda a comprendre millor els canvis que aniran introduint-se: també es complementa amb un breu repàs als instruments de poder dels que disposava la monarquia en el Principat. En el tercer, s’entra directament en el gruix del treball a partir del creuament de la correspondència entre el monarca i la institució, la majoria de la qual, es troba a l’Arxiu de la Corona d’Aragó, a Barcelona. En aquest capítol es recullen les primeres decisions del rei relacionades amb la Diputació i el propi Principat, i com aquesta va acollir al seu nou sobirà. L’apartat finalitza amb la segona arribada de Ferran a Barcelona i la celebració de les Corts de 1480-1481. El quart capítol tracta dels esdeveniments que es van seguir a continuació i les delicades relacions entre les dues parts, a causa de la introducció d’una nova inquisició a Catalunya i l’aixecament dels pagesos de remença. El següent capítol explica de forma exclusiva el trienni anterior a la intervenció reial, al considerar-lo clau per a entendre els fets posteriors. L’apartat sis narra de forma breu i amb detall l’estratègia i els preparatius reials per a portar a terme la intervenció, fent-la coincidir amb el moment de la renovació dels seus càrrecs, l’estiu de 1488. El setè capítol recull la part central de la investigació: explica com el monarca controlà la institució i les seves actuacions. La resistència del Regne de Granada portarà al sobirà a iniciar una segona intervenció en el moment de renovar novament als diputats i oïdors, aquesta vegada el juliol de 1491. Amb la caiguda de la ciutat el gener de 1492, el rei torna a Barcelona on celebrarà Corts i introduirà el sistema d’insaculació. Tot i que el nou model evitava possibles corrupteles, permetia a la monarquia controlar les llistes dels possibles candidats. L’extensió i el detall de la investigació ens porten a unes conclusions on posem en dubte algunes de les tesis dominants sobre el període. Mentre que compartim la idea generalitzada que la intervenció va permetre sanejar els comptes de la institució, creiem que a nivell polític i institucional es va perdre la oportunitat d’assentar un model de millor coordinació entre la monarquia i la Generalitat. Tot i que el rei sabia el paper que jugava com a garant de les Constitucions i les Lleis del Principat, Ferran va veure en la institució, com els seus avantpassats, un instrument ideal per recaptar impostos. El redreç econòmic va ser real mentre que a nivell polític només va servir per augmentar els seus mecanismes de control.
This Thesis approaches the relationship between king Ferran II from the Aragon crown and the General Princedom Deputation of Cataluña during the first years of his reign. Apart from analyzing this period, this study focuses on the intervention made by the monarch on the institution during 1488-1494. It also studies the change done afterwords on the Court in 1493, in which the new members were elected. The main goal was to analyze the letters between the ruler and the deputies in order to understand why he made the decision to do so and what where the factors that influenced him. This research also has a section that studies all the existing biography related to the generalitat (institution created from 1359 to 1479) and another chapter with an organization chart of this institution. This research also explains the political structure in the Cataluña monarchy. The main core of this work relies on the changes that king Ferran II tried to do and how he was lead to doing them. Some of the examples would be the riot of the peasants (remences), the new inquisition or the Pallars war. During the course of this study we can see what were the aspects which influenced the king on changing and creating a new council. Last but not least, after detailing with the reform done by the monarch we come to the conclusion that this intervention helped in great deal the economy but it didn't politically. King Ferran II didn’t take advantage of his position to create new relationships between the monarchy and the institution which lead to huge conflicts during the mid XVI specially during the XVII century. Finally we also add an appendix with more than a hundred original documents.

Like many Sicilians who immigrated to Louisiana in the late 1800s, my family set up a corner grocery in New Orleans. From this small store grew a business that became New Orleans' oldest family-owned grocery. Ferrara Supermarket, however, eventually feuded my father and aunt, dividing our family. Grandpa didn't understand how a business, which had supported his family for nearly a century, had separated two of his children. He seemed to favor my aunt over my father, and I lost much of my respect for him. It wouldn't be until I evacuated with my grandparents during Hurricane Katrina that I would gain my faith back in Grandpa. A few weeks after the storm hit, Grandpa learned in a single day that his house had flooded, his grocery was ruined, and he had three months left to live. His sickness did, however, unify the two fighting sides of our family.

La storia della città di Ferrara è storicamente legata al mutevole scorrimento del fiume Po e alla propria cinta muraria estense che ha raggiunto la sua forma finale in occasione dell’Addizione Erculea di Biagio Rossetti. Entrambi questi elementi l’hanno difesa, permettendole di prosperare, soprattutto in epoca rinascimentale. La vicinanza ad uno dei fiumi più importanti a livello nazionale ha supportato il fiorire di attività artigianali e in seguito di quelle industriali. Dopo la Seconda Guerra Mondiale, il rapporto di protezione fra la città e la propria cinta muraria si è invertito: Ferrara ha deciso di non abbatterla, ma anzi di ripristinarne lo splendore tramite un importante intervento di restauro e trasformandola in un parco che circonda il centro storico. Grazie a questa operazione le Mura ferraresi sono entrate a far parte del Patrimonio UNESCO nel 1995. In contrapposizione a questo legame simbiotico, Ferrara ha perso la sua originale relazione con il fiume, a causa della cessazione e dislocamento delle attività produttive che ruotavano attorno alla Darsena di San Paolo. L’area che include la Darsena è compresa tra i limiti del fiume Po di Volano e del tratto più sconnesso della suddetta cinta muraria. Nonostante la sua prossimità a Porta Paola, che è uno dei principali accessi al centro storico, l’area risulta essere sottoutilizzata e di marginale importanza a causa della sua mono funzionalizzazione a parcheggio. Il progetto si pone l’obiettivo di ripristinare il perduto rapporto tra Ferrara e l’acqua, rendendo la Darsena un nuovo polo attrattivo per la collettività. L’azione di progetto consiste nel proseguire il piano di riqualificazione intrapreso dal Comune di Ferrara, concentrandosi sulle aree da questo non prese in analisi. In particolare la progettazione di un inedito percorso di collegamento tra il centro storico e la Darsena e l’inserimento di un complesso architettonico che ne faccia da scenografia e la integri al tessuto urbano limitrofo.

Den senaste tiden har en mängd samarbeten, eller så kallade co-brandings, mellan olika företags varumärken vuxit fram. Avsikten är att förstärka sitt eller sina varumärken med hjälp av ett annat varumärke som är förknippat med någonting unikt. Hur bedömer man resultatet av denna co-branding? Har det egna varumärket förstärkts eller har det försvagats? För att klargöra detta resultat måste varumärkets Brand Equity mätas. Med brand equity menas det kapital som varumärket representerar. I denna kvantitativa studie består respondenterna av ett kvoturval om 50 studenter. Vi har skapat ett mätinstrument för denna fallstudie utifrån Aakers modell för brand equity och dess fyra dimensioner; brand awareness, perceived quality, differentiation samt brand loyalty. Genom att undersöka hur Acers brand equity påverkas av co-branding med Ferrari genomför vi ett första preliminärt test av vårt mätinstrument.

Resultatet av vår undersökning visar på ett tydligt samband mellan Acers brand equity och cobranding. Vårt resultat visar tydligt att alla fyra dimensioner inom Acers brand equity har påverkats i positiv riktning i och med co-branding med Ferrari. Avslutningsvis ger vi även förslag till intressanta framtida studier inom detta område.

O crítico Geraldo Ferraz, proveniente do jornalismo e da literatura, contribuiu para difusão da crítica de arte e para o desenvolvimento do jornalismo na área da cultura. Na análise de sua trajetória como crítico, destacou-se a sua reflexão sobre a organização das Bienais e seus posicionamentos estéticos.
This paper regards the art criticism articles written by Geraldo Ferraz about the early Art Biennials in São Paulo. We focused our analysis in the articles written about the 4th, 5th and 6th Biennials, published by the newspaper O Estado de S. Paulo. We used articles, documents and other materials from the following institutions: Fundação Bienal (Historic Archive \'Wanda Svevo\'), Museum of Modern Art of São Paulo (MAM SP), Museum of Contemporary Art of São Paulo University (MAC USP), State University of Campinas\' Arquivo Edgard Leuenroth (AEL UNICAMP), Documentation and Archive Center of the State Universty of São Paulo (CEDEM UNESP) and Archives of the State of São Paulo. The art critic Geraldo Ferraz was an author and journalist, and his work contributed to the establishment of art criticism sections in Brazil\'s media, as well as the development of cultural journalism in the country. In this analysis of his career as a critic, the study highlights his reflections about the organization of the Art Biennials and its aesthetic postures.

Au début du XIVe siècle, les premiers papes d’Avignon sont confrontés, en Italie du Nord et dans les terres de l’Église, à un important mouvement de contestation de leur autorité, dans un contexte de développement des régimes seigneuriaux. Parmi les principaux acteurs de cette opposition figurent les représentants de familles alors en pleine expansion, tels Matteo Visconti et ses fils (Galeazzo, Marco, Luchino, Stefano et Giovanni) à Milan, les marquis Rinaldo et Obizzo d’Este à Ferrare, Federico da Montefeltro à Urbino, ainsi que d’autres seigneurs ou communautés de plus faible envergure dans la Marche d’Ancône ou dans le Duché de Spolète. Le paroxysme de ces tensions a lieu sous le pontificat de Jean XXII (1316-1334). Pour faire face à ces oppositions multiples, la voie judiciaire est très largement utilisée, dans le cadre ordinaire des juridictions temporelles comme dans celui, plus spectaculaire, de l’officium Inquisitionis. Au cours des années 1320 en effet, plusieurs de ces seigneurs sont à la fois condamnés comme rebelles de l’Église et comme hérétiques. Cette thèse analyse ainsi les traces archivistiques abondantes et variées produites à l’occasion de ces conflits, conservées aux Archives vaticanes et à la Bibliothèque vaticane, et montre comment la Papauté a procédé, en partie grâce au procès, à la construction juridique, idéologique et rhétorique d’une figure de l’ennemi et du « tyran » gibelin
In the early 14th century, the first popes of Avignon were confronted with a large movement of protest against their authority in Northern Italy and in the States of the Church at a time when the power of the lords was increasing. Among the main actors of this protest were the members of noble families, such as Matteo Visconti and his sons - Galeazzo, Marco, Luchino, Stefano and Giovanni - in Milano, marquesses Rinaldo and Obizzo d’Este in Ferrare, Federico da Montefeltro in Urbino, as well as other lords or less powerful communities in the March of Ancona or in the duchy of Spoleto. The protest reached a climax of unrest during the pontificate of John XXII (1316-1334). To face those numerous oppositions, legal proceedings were widely used within the usual framework of the temporal jurisdiction or following the more spectacular rules of the officium Inquisitionis. Indeed, in the 1320s, several of those lords were sentenced as rebels to the Church, and as heretics. This PhD offers an analysis of the documents made during those conflicts, located in the archives of the Vatican and of the Vatican Library, and shows how, thanks to legal proceedings, the papacy used the law, ideology and rhetoric to construct a figure of the enemy and of the ghibelin “tyrant”

En las “profesiones del libro”, hasta el siglo XIX, las mujeres (la mayoría sin educación ni formación, salvo lo que correspondía “a su naturaleza”) eran de iure meros personajes de transición entre los varones titulares del negocio, siendo una de las causas principales las trabas normativas que impedían o limitaban su desarrollo en todos los ámbitos de actuación: vida, educación, formación y profesión, sin olvidar los discursos ideológicos de la época. El objetivo de esta tesis doctoral es estudiar la capacidad de obrar de las mujeres al frente de los negocios de librería, imprenta y edición, de la mano de Eulàlia Ferrer Montserrat (de casada Brusi, 1780-1841): su ejercicio en diferentes ámbitos, instancias y niveles de actuación y la conformación de su identidad profesional. Partiendo de que la capacidad jurídica en base a la titularidad de derechos se planteaba como universal, ahondamos en su capacidad de obrar real que, por el hecho de ser mujer, la constreñía jurídica y reglamentariamente, determinando una subordinación y dependencia en relación directa con su estado civil.
A les “professions del llibre”, fins al segle XIX, les dones (la majoria sense educació ni formació, llevat de la que corresponia “a la seva naturalesa”) eren, de iure, mers personatges de transició entre els barons titulars del negoci, essent un dels motius principals les traves normatives que impedien o limitaven llur desenvolupament en tots els àmbits d’actuació: vida, educació, formació i professió, sense oblidar els discursos ideològics de l’època. L’objectiu d’aquesta tesi doctoral és estudiar la capacitat d’obrar de les dones al capdavant dels negocis de llibreteria, impremta i edició, de la mà de Eulàlia Ferrer Montserrat (de casada Brusi, 1780-1841): el seu exercici en diferents àmbits, instàncies i nivells d’actuació i la conformació de la seva identitat professional. A partir del fet que la capacitat jurídica en base a la titularitat de drets es plantejava com a universal, aprofundim en la seva capacitat d’obrar real que, pel fet d’ésser dona, la constrenyia jurídicament y reglamentària, determinant una subordinació i dependència en relació directa amb el seu estat civil.
Dans “les métiers du livre” jusqu’au XIXe siècle, les femmes (la plupart sans éducation ni formation, hormis ce qui correspond à leur nature) étaient de iure, de simples personnages de transition entre les hommes titulaires de l’entreprise, les obstacles normatifs étant une des causes principales qui empêchaient ou limitaient leur développement dans tous les domaines de leur vie: éducation, formation et profession; sans oublier les discours idéologiques de l’époque. L’objectif de cette thèse doctorale est d’étudier la capacité d’action des femmes à la tête des affaires ayant trait au livre, à l’imprimerie et à l’édition, en accompagnant à Eulàlia Ferrer Montserrat (épouse Brusi, 1780-1841), son exercice dans plusieurs domaines et son niveau d’intervention et la création de son identité professionnelle. En considérant que la capacité juridique basée sur la titularisation de droits était envisagée comme universelle nous approfondissons sa capacité réelle d’agir qui, par le fait d’être femme la contraignait juridiquement et réglementairement en déterminant une subordination et une dépendance en relation directe avec son état civil.
Within the “professions of the book”, until the 19th century, women (most of them neither educated nor with any kind of training, except that pertinent “to their nature”) were de iure mere characters of transition between the men who were holders of the business. One of the main causes of it were the normative obstacles which prevented or limited their development in any sphere of action: life, education, training and work, without forgetting the ideological discourses from the period. The aim of this doctoral thesis is to study the capacity to act of women who where holders of bookshops and printing or edition companies, having as a reference the case of Eulàlia Ferrer Montserrat (Brusi was her family name when married, 1780-1841): her activities in different fields, agencies and levels of action and how her professional identity was defined. Considering that the juridical capacity on the ownership of rights was posed as universal, the author deepens in her real capacity of acting that, due to the fact of being woman, restrained her juridical and legally, which defined a subordination and dependency which was in direct relation with her civil state.

La tesi Ferran Soldevila i la historiografia catalana del seu temps (1894-1971) té un doble objectiu. D'una banda, dilucidar el lloc que F. Soldevila ocupa en la historiografia catalana del segle XX i, d'altra, oferir una primera visió de conjunt del panorama historiogràfic català contemporani. S'ha partit de la idea central subjacent: que la historiografia catalana contemporania (en concret la del segle XX) és equiparable a les més desenvolupades d'Europa (i del món) i que l'aportació historiogràfica soldeviliana (per la seva importància) n'és la millor prova. Així, la investigació ha seguit una doble direcció. Una d'"interna" en relació amb el personatge estudiat, d'aprofundiment de l'obra i del seu autor (fins arribar als aspectes més íntims). I una altra d'"externa", per tal de veure quins eren els altres historiadors destacats en cada etapa del període considerat (i quin contacte mantingueren amb ell), quins corrents historiogràfics organitzats existiren a cada moment i quina relació es podia establir entre el desenvolupament global de la disciplina i els principais esdeveniments històrics del segle XX català. La primera direcció ha comportat una recerca bàsicament heurística, d'exploració de noves fonts per tal de dilucidar els aspectes foscos i desconeguts del personatge i la seva obra. La segona, ha suposat un esforç de síntesi i a la vagada d'investigació (donada la precarietat dels estudis existents sobre el tema) per tal de posar els fonaments d'una història de la historiografia catalana contemporània que mai abans no havia estat abordada de manera sistemàtica. Una i altra direcció, però, han estat complementàries. La figura de F. Soldevila s'ha convertit ací en una mena de fil conductor de l'evolució d'una disciplina (la historiografia) i d'una època històrica.
En el propòsit de donar una visió global de la història de la historiografia catalana, el "cas" de F. Soldevila era especialment adient per diferents circumstàncies. D'entrada, per la seva llarga trajectòria vital que va recórrer gairebé tota la centúria (o, com a mínim, els seus moments més significatius). I també perquè ell va ésser al mateix temps un dels historiadors més destacats de la seva època i un dels més oberts a les influències innovadores aparegudes en cada moment. Aquesta permeabilitat féu que la seva producció històrica registrés les principais evolucions que experimentà la historiografia i el conjunt de la cultura catalana del seu segle. L'anàlisi de la seva aportació, però, no s'ha limitat merament al context històric en que va viure, ja que també s'ha analizat el seu valor "transhistòric" (la vigència actual de la seva proposta, la seva vàlua "intrinseca" des d'una perspectiva de la metodologia historiogràfica i el seu valor referencial per als historiadors i historiadores d'avui). En definitiva, s'ha volgut repondre a la pregunta: Per què F. Soldevila és un clàssic?

This study examines the relationships between the court, the printing trade and music from the publication of the first printed music book in Ferrara until the departure of the Este from the city after the death of Alfonso II. It explores the extent to which an image of the court was deliberately constructed and projected through the medium of print. Close study of the books produced reveal Ferrara to be unusually sophisticated in its manipulation of print as musical propaganda. The thesis opens with a historical survey of the relationship between the court and the output of the Ferrarese press in general, and considers the ways in which the individual enthusiasms of successive dukes affected book production. A second chapter then examines the role of the Ferrarese post of ducal or state printer. Using the comparative examples of Mantua, Florence, Parma, Bologna and Rome, the various motives for appointing ducal printers are investigated, the terms and conditions of their employment compared and the effects of the post on their output assessed. Music printing in Ferrara is considered in detail in the third chapter. Ferrara was unusual in being a courtly centre of music-printing during the first half of the sixteenth-century (1538-50); production was revived briefly in 1571 and then flourished from the 1580s until the end of the century. The connections between musical activity at the court and the printing of music in the city are considered, revealing that local printers were only partially reliant upon the court for their musical output. In the fourth chapter, which focuses on Baldini's exceptional editions, the music books themselves are examined in detail. Following the methods established by Roger Chartier, the influence of typographical, visual and material elements of design, format and presentation is discussed in relation to the books' reception. The fifth chapter concerns the operations of the Ferrarese music book trade, looking both at what happened to Ferrarese-printed music books once they left the presses and at the kind of books available to sixteenth-century customers in the city. An unpublished inventory of a Ferrarese bookshop from 1550 is included, together with a comparison of two substantial contemporary collections of music: the Este library and the collection of the aristocrat Antonio Goretti. Consideration of these different contexts shows that the Ferrarese music book did not serve a single function, but a variety, according to a range of social, cultural, economic and historical factors.

A causa dell'impatto potenzialmente irreversibile del deterioramento della qualità delle risorse idriche , l'obiettivo primario di questa tesi è stato quello di ottenere una comprensione quantitativa dei processi che hanno causato la salinizzazione delle acque sotterranee nella falda acquifera costiera ferrarese. In secondo luogo si è voluto indagare l’impatto che i cambiamenti climatici potranno avere sul processo di salinizzazione in atto e le eventuali conseguenze che un aumento di salinità possono avere sulla mobilizzazione di contaminanti sia maggiori che in tracce.
