Rollers’angular velocity matching of rolling driven equal channel angular deformation technology was investigated numerically by using finite element code DEFORM-3D. The results show that as the angular velocity of primary feeding roller is constant, the rollers’ angular velocity matching had only small influences on effective strain and output velocity, but had significant influence on torque of feeding rollers. With the decrease of angular velocity ratio of primary feeding roller to secondary feeding roller from 1.37 to 0.073, the torque of feeding rollers tend to become uniform. It was found that an appropriate selection of rollers’ angular velocity matching and friction factor can save energy consumption significantly.

A liquid packaging machine produces liquid packaging bags from roll film by cooperatively controlling the vertical seal roller, horizontal seal roller, and cut roller. These rollers are driven separately by servomotors as a multi-axis servo mechanism. Positioning control on the moving film is essential to make bags of accurate size. To achieve accurate positioning without lowering productivity, we propose two control methods. One is a two-step velocity control of the horizontal seal roller. This method enables continuous and high speed production of bags of arbitrary size. The second is phase control, which determines the accuracy of the cutting position on the film according to the sealing position. Phase control changes the rotary phase difference of the horizontal seal roller and the cut roller by adjusting the high feeding velocity of the cut roller, or by adjusting the low feeding velocity of the cut roller. The control system developed was applied to a DANGANV liquid packaging machine.

Flow forming is one of the cold forming process which is used for hollow symmetrical shapes. In this paper, the forward flow forming process is simulated using the finite element method and its results are compared with the experimental process. The variation of thickness of the sample is examined by the ultrasonic tests for the five locations of the tubes. To simulate the process, the ABAQUS explicit is used. The effects of flow forming variables such as the angle of rollers and rate of feeding of rollers, on the external variables such as internal diameter, thickness of tube and roller forces are considered. The study showed that the roller force and surface defects were reduced with low feeding rate and low rollers attack angles. Moreover, the sample internal diameter increased at low feeding rate and low rollers attack angles. The optimum variables for flow forming process were also obtained.

The printing quality is decided by the ink system, which is heavy and complicated in offset press. Structure optimization and parameter modification is the key step of seeking better performance in the ink system. In this paper, the ink system of modern offset press was the research object, seeking the discrepancy of different structures and parameters. The surfaces of ink rollers and cylinders were discreted by computer simulation, based on this, established the math model of steady time in batch and continuous ink feeding system, then analysised the feeding system and vibration system. The simulation result indicates that the ink feeding system, the way of vibrator oscillation, plate coverage have great influence on the dynamic property. In batch ink feeding system, the property of ink system would be improved by increasing ductor roller swing frequency, and approached to continuous ink feeding system. On the machine with adjustable ductor roller swing frequency, the steady time would be reduced by regulating ductor roller swing frequency, improved efficiency with reducing paper wasting.

Currently, most feed grains are processed by either hammer mill or roller mill before the inclusion in pig diets. However, the effect of these two types of milling and particle size on the performance and feed utilisation has not been adequately examined. The effect of milling processing (hammer mill v. roller mill), particle size, and feeding method (liquid v. dry) was assessed in a factorial design with 120 weaner pigs over 21 days. These pigs had been weaned for 7 days when the experiment commenced. The results revealed that pigs fed on hammer-milled diets had a better performance than those on roller-milled diets. Particle size of hammer-milled diets did not affect the performance of pigs, but influenced the digestible energy content of the diets. However, the feed conversion ratio was poorer for pigs fed coarsely or medium roller-milled diets only at Day 7–14 after weaning. There was a marked advantage in terms of feed efficiency associated with liquid feeding. For pigs offered the hammer-milled diets between 0 and 14 days, simply adding the feed to water improved feed efficiency by some 22%. For the roller-milled diets the corresponding improvement in feed efficiency was 28%. Liquid feeding improved digestible energy (DE) value by 1.5 MJ/kg for medium particle size and depressed DE value by 0.8 MJ/kg for fine particle size for hammer mill. Liquid feeding improved DE values for both medium and fine particle treatments by 0.9 MJ/kg for roller-milled diets. It should be noted that the full advantages of liquid feeding could only be taken if feed wastage from this system can be minimised as much as possible. The study was conducted to investigate if processing method (roller v. hammer mill), particle size (coarse, medium, and fine), and feeding method (liquid v. dry) significantly improved the growth rate, feed intake, and feed conversion of the weaner pig.

Establishing healthy eating behaviors is vital in the early years to help combat the development of obesity and other chronic diseases. Mothers play an invaluable role in shaping their children's eating habits through controlling what and when children eat as well as the overall food environment, which is why a better understanding of what influences mothers’ decisions about these behaviors is important. The purpose of the dissertation was to gain a better understanding of what impacts maternal feeding decisions regarding toddler nutrition behaviors. This was a two-phased mixed methods study. The aim of the initial study was to explore, using a Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) framework, the influences on mothers’ toddler feeding decisions. These included attitude, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control. These constructs were derived from discussions about what sources of nutrition information mothers use and trust. The aim of the subsequent study was to use the TPB to assess factors affecting a mother’s behavioral intention to provide their toddler with a healthy diet and to see if the addition of the parental role construction variable strengthened the TPB’s ability to significantly predict the mother’s behavioral intention. The first study used a qualitative approach to gather data from three focus groups that consisted of mothers of toddlers (N = 15). Qualitative thematic analysis was used to define prominent themes. Four major themes emerged from the data analysis: (1) attitudes (subthemes: positive towards maternal role of feeding and negative towards the maternal role of feeding); (2) subjective norms positively accepted (subthemes: social media, pediatricians, and registered dietitians); (3) subjective norms negatively accepted (subthemes: pediatricians and registered dietitians); (4) perceived behavioral control (subthemes: acceptance, scarcity of time and outside influences). An online survey was created using data gathered from the focus groups and a previously validated survey that fit the theoretical basis of the study. The survey utilized the TPB to assess the connections between the constructs and the mothers’ behavioral intentions surrounding toddler feeding. The final sample consisted of 148 mothers. The mean age was 32.83 (SD = 6.16) years. The majority of participants were married (87.2%), had earned a college degree or higher (79.7%), held part-time or fulltime employment, (60.8%), and were White (90.3%). The TPB model predicted 53% of the variance in mother’s behavioral intention surrounding the behavior of providing meals that include a wide variety of the five food groups in appropriate amounts. The addition of the parental role construction variable added 6% more predictive power to the model. The most salient predictors included attitude, perceived behavioral control, and parental role construction. Mothers positively and negatively receive information from a variety of sources, they have many strong emotions associated with feeding that are deeply rooted in their roles as mothers, and their feeding decisions were strongly influenced by the TPB constructs. Health promotion efforts should aim to increase the mother’s sense of behavioral control and parental responsibility rather than focusing on the benefits of healthy eating. Programs should provide tangible ways to help mothers overcome perceived barriers and, in turn, increase mothers’ beliefs in their ability to provide toddlers with a balanced diet.

Annotation:
Daily rhythms in physiology and behaviour are orchestrated by theautonomously rhythmic cells of the suprachiasmatic nucleus (SCN).Restricting food intake to the rest phase of nocturnal rodents, leads to thedevelopment of meal anticipatory behaviour, corticosterone and bodytemperature. Given that lesions to the SCN fail to abolish meal anticipation, asecond oscillator of unknown location, referred to as the food-entrainableoscillator (FEO) is thought to exist. Although the site of the FEO is unknown, several hypothalamus nuclei, including the dorsomedial hypothalamus(DMH) are thought to play a role in meal anticipation. Given thatadrenalectomy is reported to abolish meal anticipation, an intact HPA axis isalso thought to contribute to the functioning of the FEO. Some forms ofobesity are characterised by high basal levels of circulating corticosterone. Inaddition, limited access to high fat diet, fails to induce the development ofrobust meal anticipation in rats. During our initial studies, the effect of a standard and 45% high fat diet onthe development of meal anticipatory behaviour and hypothalamic c-Fosexpression were investigated. Restricted access to high fat diet led toattenuation of meal anticipation compared to those fed standard diet. Thiswas concurrent with a failure to develop an anticipatory rise in DMH c-Fosexpression. A meal anticipatory rise in corticosterone is thought to benecessary for the presence of meal anticipation as well as adaptation ofmetabolism to daily restricted feeding. In the next set of studies, weconfirmed that restricted access to standard diet leads to the development ofa meal anticipatory rise in plasma corticosterone. In contrast we observed adramatic post-anticipatory rise in plasma corticosterone in rats givenrestricted access to the 45% high fat diet. We hypothesised that the highcorticosterone levels resulting from high fat diet were a contributing factor tothe lack of meal anticipation in high fat fed rats. With the aid of apharmacokinetic study, a suitable experiment was designed for daily dosingof a potent glucocorticoid receptor antagonist, RU486, with the aim ofrescuing meal anticipation in high fat fed rats. Interestingly, treatment withRU486 successfully rescued meal anticipation in high fat fed rats, butattenuated meal anticipation in standard diet restricted fed rats. In the finalseries of studies the effect of diet and feeding regime on glucose toleranceand metabolism were investigated. High fat feeding was found to reduceglucose tolerance in both ad lib and restricted fed rats, with RU486 treatmentimproving glucose tolerance in a time dependant manner. Restricted accessto food was found to induce post satiation lipogenesis in both standard dietfed and to a lesser extent in high fat fed rats, an effect which may bebeneficial in reducing obesity. Overall the results provide further insight intothe complex role of corticosterone in promoting or preventing mealanticipatory behaviour. An anticipatory rise in plasma corticosterone isrequired for meal anticipation, as repeated daily dosing of RU486 inhibit mealanticipation. The high basal levels of corticosterone in high fat fed rats mayprevent meal anticipation, insulin secretion and post-satiation lipogenesiswhich may in fact be a homeostatic mechanism to prevent obesity. Nonetheless, treatment with RU486 rescues behavioural meal anticipationand glucose tolerance.

The roller feeding mechanism of stamping press is widely used in the automatic feeding mechanism of progressive stamping, but it is rarely explored in the academia. It is difficult to have further reform and innovative design. Therefore, this thesis hopes to provide a reference for future scholars and stamping industry study related to roller feeding mechanism. The objectives of thesis include analyzing the structure of a kind of existing roller feeding mechanism, providing innovative roller feeding mechanism and exploring the relationship between the eccentric distance and progressive pitch. This study calculates the degree of freedom of the mechanism and judges whether it is con-strained motion, and then designs the mechanism as well as analyzes it by the CAD software. Finally, the relationship between eccentric distance and progressive pitch are sorted out by the results of analysis. According to judgment by observation on the ex-isting roller feeding mechanism, this preliminary judgment is a Spatial mechanism of six-bar linkage and six-revolute. It is an over-constrained mechanism in theory, but the result is just the opposite of the existing roller feeding mechanism can operate in reality. Therefore, it still necessitates clarifying the structure of the existing roller feeding mechanism. Furthermore, by calculating the degrees of freedom and kinematic analysis, the innovative roller feeding mechanism is substantiated to satisfy the constrained mo-tion, and results of kinematic analysis display that as the eccentric distance increases, the progressive pitch will increase. The relation between eccentric distance and progressive pitch provided in this study enables one to determine the optional progressive pitch by varying the eccentric distance of the present mechanism.

Nowadays, the development of printers has been toward fast printing, high resolution and high precision. Two important factors that dominate the consumer’s decision on purchasing are printing quality and printing speed. The performance of paper feeding mechanism has direct influence to these two factors. The dynamic behavior of paper in the paper feeding mechanism is very important and critical; therefore, it is worth to do a further research on the paper behavior. The purpose of this research is to investigate the behavior of paper exiting from different ways of channels, especially from rollers. The study employs dynamic simulation software---LS-DYNA to perform simulation analysis. Firstly, let paper to exit from an open plate with a constant velocity to verify the results of the literature. It confirms the accuracy of the software. Then, we simulate the paper exiting from a pair of rollers, and from a plate with a roller. Parts of these results are compared with the results of the experiments. We found that (1) The faster the paper exits the rollers, the shorter the front edge of the paper drops; (2) The lager the normal forces the rollers apply, the shorter the front edge of the paper drops, however, the influence of normal force is less than that of the exiting speed of the paper; (3) The larger the roller’s radius is, the shorter the front edge of the paper drops. Finally, we derive the relations between the roller’s size, the rotational speed of the roller and geometrical positions of the rollers in accordance the results of the simulations. We hope the results could be helpful to promote the design of paper feeding mechanism in the aspects of speed and quality during design stage.

Drawing on extensive fieldwork, this book investigates aesthetic, symbolic, metaphorical, literary, mathematical, and philosophical meanings of the kōlam, the popular Tamil women’s daily ephemeral practice, a ritual art tradition performed with rice flour on the thresholds of houses in southern India. They range from concepts such as auspiciousness, inauspiciousness, ritual purity, and ritual pollution. Several divinities, too, play a significant role: Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth, good luck, well-being, and a quickening energy; Mūdevi, the goddess of poverty, bad luck, illness, and laziness; Bhūdevi, the goddess of the soils, the earth, and the fields; and the god Ganesh, the remover of obstacles. Braiding art history, aesthetics, and design, this book analyzes the presence of the kōlam in medieval Tamil literature, focusing on the saint-poet Āṇṭāḷ. The author shows that the kōlam embodies mathematical principles such as symmetry, fractals, array grammars, picture languages, and infinity. Three types of kōlam competitions are described. The kinship between Bhūdevi and the kōlam is discussed as the author delves into the topics of “embedded ecologies” and “intermittent sacrality.” The author explores the history of the phrase “feeding a thousand souls,” tracing it back to ancient Sanskrit literature, where it was connected to Indian notions of hospitality, karma, and strangers. Its relationship to the theory of karma is represented by its connection to the five ancient sacrifices. This ritual is distinguished as one of the many “rituals of generosity” in Tamil Nadu.

Earth's human population currently exceeds 7 billion, and by the year 2050 our planet will have at least two billion more mouths to feed. When faced with providing food for so many people, the idea is often advanced that Australia will become the 'food bowl' of Asia. Australia currently grows enough food to feed about three times its population and agricultural exports are important to our economy; however, Australia's role in feeding the world needs careful consideration. This highly topical book draws together the latest intelligence on the sustainable production and distribution of food and other products from Australian farms. It examines questions that policy-makers, farmers, politicians, agricultural scientists and the general public are asking about the potential productivity of our arable land, the environmental and economic impacts of seeking to increase productivity, and the value of becoming cleaner and greener in our agricultural output. With chapters on the emergence of new markets, consumer trends in China, the biophysical constraints on agricultural expansion, and the various products of Australian agriculture and aquaculture, Australia's Role in Feeding the World provides valuable insight into the future of agriculture in this nation. The book is ideal reading for academics and students in agriculture, environmental sciences, economics, Australian studies, international development studies; agricultural practitioners; and the food production industry.

Touch and taste provide information about objects in contact with, and inside, the body for use in detection and manipulation of food items. Four main types of touch receptors are found distributed in most parts of the body but some birds have ‘bill tip organs’ with very high concentrations of touch receptors. Three main types of bill tip organs are found in waterfowl, parrots, shorebirds, ibises, and kiwi. They allow birds to locate hidden objects with the bill alone and parrots to use their bills as third limbs. Seven types of taste receptors exist in birds, mainly in the mouth cavity but also within the gut. Information from these receptors play key roles in food intake and aids shorebirds in detecting profitable feeding locations. Detection of the geomagnetic field, by means of two known mechanisms, is probably widespread among birds. It plays a key role in direction and position finding.

Abstract Ungulates are present worldwide with 257 recorded species, including livestock. They cover different functional gradients, be it feeding regime, digestive strategy, body size, body mass, fur characteristics or sociality. All these specificities may intervene at different stages of animal-mediated plant dispersal. Ungulates move diaspores from both native and non-native plants, through endo- and epizoochory. Initially introduced by humans, non-native plants bearing specific traits can be carried over long distances and to new environments by ungulates. These vectors can further free local resources necessary for the germination and the subsequent growth of the released diaspores. We first looked at trait-based plant community changes at different timescales in the presence of different native ungulates. We then reviewed the literature on endozoochory, regurgitation and fur-epizoochory assisted by ungulates, focusing on the dispersal of non-native plants. We made an overall assessment of ungulate-mediated non-native plant dispersal by biogeographical zone and dispersal mode, and then provided additional information on plant growth form and taxonomy, vectors and associated modes of dispersal. Results are presented for four main ungulate families: Cervidae, Bovidae, Suidae and Equidae. For each family, we highlight our findings either by ungulate if sufficiently represented (e.g. Odocoileus virginianus, Bison bison, Bos taurus) or by group of species. According to their feeding regime, grazers dispersed solely forbs and graminoids whereas omnivores also dispersed plants from other growth forms (i.e. cactus, vine, shrub and tree). Numerous non-native plants are dispersed by ungulates around the world, but this is probably the visible part of the iceberg, as only 32 ungulates (i.e. 12%) have been studied as vectors so far, suggesting their overall contribution is certainly underrated.

Abstract Most plant species rely on, or benefit from, animal pollination. Therefore, pollination interactions are expected to play a key role in the reproduction and invasion success of non-native plants in their new areas. Understanding this role will allow us to better predict certain plant invasions. Also, it will allow us to explore the potential of invasion management measures based on disrupting or avoiding pollination interactions. In this chapter we review the available information on reproductive systems and their degree of dependence on animal-mediated pollination of non-native plant species. We review the characteristics of resident pollinators feeding on non-native plants and the different environmental setups that allow or impede non-native plants to reproduce in their new areas. Finally, we explore the scarce literature on invasion management measures based on disrupting pollination interactions and discuss their potentiality. Evidence so far shows that animal pollination does not usually act as an effective barrier to invasion. Most introduced plants are able to receive suitable pollination service from resident pollinators, while others are able to minimize their reliance on pollinators through different mechanisms (e.g. selfing or asexual reproduction). The environmental settings where the introduction occurs (for instance, the presence of neighbours with similar or dissimilar flower morphologies), can play an important role on the success or failure of non-native plants overcoming reproductive barriers. Although it seems that most introduced plants do not face pollination barriers, we consider that, for certain species, the disruption or avoidance of pollination interactions as control or prevention measures deserve further exploration.

AbstractHemifacial microsomia and Treacher Collins syndrome are two entities which arise as a consequence of abnormal development of first and second branchial arches in utero. As a result, these dentofacial deformities present with abnormal facies especially the maxilla and mandible. They may also occur as part of other syndromes and may involve other structures of the body. In this chapter, we have discussed the etiology, clinical features, radiological assessment and treatment planning of such cases. Special emphasis should be made on early diagnosis, challenges of airway management and feeding and parental counselling. Since the two deformities are largely considered to be non-progressive, early distraction plays an important role in correction of the dentofacial deformity in these patients.

This paper deals with the influence of surface contamination on the frictional mechanisms of rubber rollers. The contamination which adhered on the rollers after feeding many sheets of papers is one of the predominant causes of paper jams. However, the mechanism has not been understood. The purpose of this paper is to clarify the relationships between the friction force and the real contact area of papers and contaminated rubber rollers. Carrying out paper feeding tests by using a commercial multifunction peripheral, we tested different types of papers produced by different manufacturers. The tests have been done with combinations of different manufacturer’s papers and different kinds of roller materials. Observations of the real contact area clarified that the roller surfaces covered with paper powders or lint reduces the friction coefficient.

Recently, the demand of a high speed and high accuracy increases in the media transport (or feeding) system (MTS) which is one of the most essential parts in copiers, digital printers, ATM’s and so forth. This paper illustrates the development of a high-speed, high-accuracy paper feeding system including a feedback feeding speed control system with a learning controller. The controller is designed to reduce the slippage between the feeding rollers and paper in the presence of the periodic disturbance in the nip force of the driven roller which is mainly caused by the eccentricity of the driven roller. The lack of an accurate model of the plant often makes control system designers to face difficulties at an early stage in designing a robust controller for highly non-linear multi-body dynamics system such as the MTS with flexible media. To mitigate the problem, a so-called co-simulation approach, the combination of a controller development tool and a model developed in MBD, is often adopted and it would allow the controller designer to expedite the design and evaluation of control systems. In the paper, using a co-simulation approah a MTS with a paper is modeled and a repetitive learning controller is develped and evaluated.

The media-transport system (MTS) is a key component in many daily appliances for example copiers, printers and ATMs. The slippage between the medium and the feeding rollers in the MTS results in the irregular feeding speed of the medium and deteriorates the performance of the whole system. This paper focuses on the regulation of the paper feeding velocity by applying the adequate command profile to the driving roller. To learn the required command profile for the driving rollers, a repetitive learning controller is introduced. For the development and the evaluation of the control system two-dimensional simulation model for the MTS where a paper sheet medium is modeled as a multi-body dynamic system. The simulation was performed in a co-simulation environment where two analysis tools are used in a symbiotic manner. In this paper, vibration characteristics of a Vertical Roller Mill (VRM) are studied by using physical parameters of an operating VRM. The mathematical model is derived and simulated for a set of working parameters. Mechanical properties of the grinding material and the physical properties of the mechanical construction are used in the vibration model in order to obtain more realistic results. Simulation results are presented which give critical frequencies of the VRM. The effects of the hydraulic compressive force to the vibration characteristics are investigated. The effects of the material feeding rate (which affects the mineral thickness to be grinded) to the vibration characteristics are also simulated. In order to validate the mathematical model, a set of experimental vibration tests are performed on the VRM. Vibrations are measured during the run-down procedure of the VRM in order to determine natural frequencies of the mill as well as excitation frequencies of the system. The measurements showed the validity of the proposed mathematical model for the vibration analysis of the VRM.

Spinning process for the medium- and small-lot production of axisymmetric components has many advantages, such as smaller deformation force, simpler tool-and-die design, and lower investment in equipment, over conventional forming processes. It has been widely used in aerospace, energy and defense industry. This paper presents a 3-D elastoplastic finite element (FE) model for the simulation of the shear spinning process, in order to study deformation behaviour and design proper process parameters for the spinning process. The proposed model has the following characteristics: i) a shell element is used to mesh the contact pairs between the workpiece (a metal blank) and the tool sets (a pressing roller and a mandrel); ii) the offset thickness of the shell element is considered during contact treatment; iii) the movement of the roller and the fixing of the central blank and mandrel are treated as the boundary condition; iv) relative movement between the roller and the blank is treated as a spiral feeding process. FEM simulations for shear spinning with aluminum have been implemented, using a dynamic explicit scheme, on ANSYS/LS-DYNA software. Spinning force, thickness distribution and stress distribution have been studied under various roller feeds and inclined angles of mandrel. The simulation results have provided good confirmation with the experiments.

Abstract During the spinning process of the variable-section thin-walled conical parts, the metal flow law is relatively complicated and the flange is prone to be unstable, which resulting in wrinkling and other defects. In this paper, the variable-section conical part of superalloy GH1140 is taken as the research object. The spinning forming process is numerically simulated by using Simufact Finite Element software and the metal flow in each stage of the forming process is analyzed. The flow velocity shows an annular distribution as a whole. The metal near the center of the circle flows more slowly, and the metal far from the circular flange flows more quickly. In the direction of thickness, the velocity of metal flow decreases gradually. Under the feeding action of the roller, the metal in front of the roller is subjected to axial tensile stress, tangential and radial compressive stress, resulting in a strain state of one-way tension and two-way compression. The metal moves along the negative direction of the rotary wheel feed, resulting in the increase of the sheet wall thickness. The correctness of the model in this paper is further verified by spinning experiments. The research results provide a theoretical basis for analyzing the mechanism of forming defects and improving the quality of spinning forming of conical thin-walled parts with variable sections.

Ring die pellet mill has been widely used in feed industry because of its higher productivity, lower pollution. The random loads and the random vibration response of the machine were studied in this paper to solve the serious vibration during working. According to the operational principles of feeding, gelatinization and spreading process, the model of material thickness unevenness was proposed and the test of motor torque was conducted. According to the experimental and theoretical calculation results, the power spectral density curve model of material thickness unevenness was established. According to the pressure-density relationship in powder compaction process and the pressure distribution in deformation area, the interaction force between roller and ring die was figured out. On this basis, the random loads model was established. The rigid-flexible coupled model of ring die pellet mill was developed in the multi-body software. Dynamic simulations were done to study the random vibration response of ring die, the results revealed that the main vibration frequency of ring die was around the stirring frequency of conditioner blade, the second and third order resonance frequency. Then reasonable ways were proposed to reduce vibration, and were proved to be effective.

As a result, we found that an overlap-type sheet separation mechanism is superior to the pressing-type sheet separation mechanism but it is easily influenced by the feeding force caused by pick-up rollers, and also a pressing-type sheet separation mechanism has robustness for a thickness of paper sheet and for a feeding force caused by pick-up rollers.

In previous manner of production the unfinished surface of semi product in form of roll sheet was galvanic zinc coated, it was thereafter sheared on needed length with shearing machine, followed punching in fixture, roll bending by sequence bending by help of fixture. Suggested forming line is dedicated for processing of zinc coated roll strip in automation production cycle. Forming line enables the automation work flow which includes the uncoiling of strip, feeding and leveling of strip, punching of holes and shearing of strip, roll bending of pressed part, repeated feeding of strip by leveler. Forming line consists of two-sided uncoiler without drive, feeding leveler, block of forming tools, rotary roll head. It is possible to set production of hook according to required dimensions, forming line is able to produce several dimensions of hooks with several numbers of holes. The bearing hooks from suggested original zinc coated roll strip have higher surface quality without defects. Production innovation with feeding of automation in comparison to previous manner of production enables savings of four or five workers, increasing number of produced parts per hour, to achieve repeated pressed part precision,, less manual work, increasing operation safety, minimized noise level, reducing of production costs and production of time.
