Annotation:

A means was developed for extending the predictive capability of the Equivalent Single-Tube Model (ESTM) to accurately predict the onset of a self-sustained oscillatory flow instability for a multitube condensing flow system. The model includes the effects of compressibility, subcooled liquid inertia, and thermal and flow distribution asymmetry. Previously, liquid inertia, a necessary mechanism for the instability, had not been modeled for a multitube system. Extensive experimental data was obtained for a two-tube system that verifies not only the predictive capability of the ESTM, but also its accuracy and its wide range of applicability.

In a tube-type condenser involving complete condensation, small changes in the inlet vapor flow rate momentarily cause very large transient surges in the outlet mass flow rate. An Equivalent Single-Tube Model (ESTM), based on the System Mean Void Fraction Model, is developed that predicts these transient flow surges for a multitube system; including the effects of compressibility as well as thermal and flow distribution asymmetry. The model is verified theoretical and experimentally. From a design perspective, the significant value of the ESTM is that it includes the primary physical mechanisms involved in such complex flow transients, yet is simple enough to be solved on typical “spreadsheet” software.

AbstractThis work explores the impact of assimilating radial winds from the Chinese coastal Doppler radar on track, intensity, and quantitative precipitation forecasts (QPF) of landfalling tropical cyclones (TCs) in a numerical weather prediction model, focusing mainly on two aspects: 1) developing a new coastal radar super-observation (SO) processing method, namely, an evenly spaced thinning method (ESTM) that is fit for landfalling TCs, and 2) evaluating the performance of the radar radial wind data assimilation in QPFs of landfalling TCs with multiple TC cases. Compared to a previous method of generating SOs (i.e., the radially spaced thinning method), in which the density of SOs is equal within the radial space of a radar scanning volume, the SOs created by ESTM are almost evenly distributed in the horizontal grids of the model background, resulting in more observations located in the TC inner-core region being involved in SOs. The use of SOs from ESTM leads to more cyclonic wind innovation, and larger analysis increments of height and horizontal wind in the lower level in an ensemble Kalman filter data assimilation experiment with TC Mujigae (2015). Overall, forecasts of a TC’s landfalling position, intensity, and QPF are improved by radar data assimilation for all cases, including Mujigae and the other eight TCs that made landfall on the Chinese mainland in 2017. Specifically, through assimilation, TC landing position error and intensity error are reduced by 33% and 25%, respectively. The mean equitable threat score of extreme rainfall [>80 mm (3 h)−1] forecasts is doubled on average over all cases.

OBJECTIVE: To culturally adapt and validate the SPICTTM to Spanish, which is a brief and simple tool to support a better identification of chronic patients who have palliative care needs. METHODS: For this study, we designed a multicenter and national project between the centers of Galicia, Balearic Islands, and Andalusia. For the process of translation and cross-cultural adaptation of the SPICTTM to Spanish, we followed the steps proposed by Beaton et al. with successive translations and subsequent consensus of experts using the debriefing methodology. After the content validation was completed, the psychometric properties were validated. A prospective longitudinal study was designed with 188 patients from Galicia, the Balearic Islands, and Andalusia. The internal consistency and reliability of the test and retest was analyzed for 10 days by the same researcher. RESULTS: For more than 90% of the participants of the SPICT-ESTM, it seems simple to be filled out, and they consider it written in an understandable language. The average time to apply the questionnaire without prior knowledge was 4 minutes and 45 seconds. To evaluate the internal consistency of the instrument, we used the Kuder-Richardson formula 20. Internal consistency is 0.71. The agreement index of the Kappa test is between 0.983 and 0.797 for the different items. CONCLUSIONS: In this study, we demonstrate the equivalence of content with the original. In addition, the validation of the psychometric properties establishes that the SPICT-ESTM maintains adequate reliability and stability. If we add the satisfaction shown by the professionals and the ease of use, the SPICT-ESTM is an adequate tool for the identification of palliative patients with chronic diseases and palliative care needs.

L’objectif de ces travaux de thèse a été de développer une nouvelle génération de point mémoire de type EEPROM pour les applications à haute fiabilité et à haute densité d’intégration. Dans un premier temps, une cellule mémoire très innovante développée par STMicroelectronics – eSTM (mémoire à stockage de charges de type Splitgate avec transistor de sélection vertical enterré) – a été étudiée comme cellule de référence. Dans une deuxième partie, dans un souci d’améliorer la fiabilité de la cellule eSTM et de permettre une miniaturisation plus agressive de la cellule EEPROM, une nouvelle architecture mémoire a été proposée : la cellule BitErasable. Elle a montré une excellente fiabilité et a permis d’apporter des éléments de compréhension sur les mécanismes de dégradation présents dans ces dispositifs mémoires à transistor de sélection enterré. Cette nouvelle architecture offre de plus la possibilité d’effacer les cellules d’un plan mémoire de façon individuelle : bit à bit. Conscient du grand intérêt que présente l’effacement bit à bit, un nouveau mécanisme d’effacement pour injection de trous chauds a été proposé pour la cellule eSTM. Il a montré des performances et un niveau de fiabilité parfaitement compatible avec les exigences industrielles des applications Flash-NOR The objective of this thesis was to develop a new generation of EEPROM memory for high reliability and high density applications. First, an innovative memory cell developed by STMicroelectronics - eSTM (Split-gate charge storage memory with buried vertical selection transistor) - was studied as a reference cell. In a second part, to improve the reliability of the eSTM cell and to allow a more aggressive miniaturization of the EEPROM cell, a new memory architecture has been proposed: the BitErasable cell. It showed an excellent reliability and allowed to bring elements of under-standing on the degradation mechanisms present in these memory devices with buried selection transistor. This new architecture also offers the possibility to individually erase cells in a memory array: bit by bit. Aware of the great interest of bit-by-bit erasing, a new erasing mechanism by hot hole injection has been proposed for the eSTM cell. It has shown performances and a level of reliability perfectly compatible with the industrial requirements of Flash-NOR applications

A escolha do material artístico dessa banda dá-se pelo fato de que as letras poéticas produzidas por Renato Russo, o líder, fazem parte de uma obra consistente sob o ponto de vista do fato literário e de perfil geracional. Dos oitos discos lançados pela Legião, dois são feitos especificamente a partir de uma visão brasiliense do artista, sendo que também, em menor número, encontramos, nos outros discos, alguma alusão à Brasília. Selecionou-se como corpus da pesquisa o terceiro disco, Que País é Este - 1978/1987. O modelo teórico para desvendamento do processo de criação e entendimento das conexões linguísticas e semânticas partirá de Umberto Eco e seus três tipos convergentes de interpretação para o texto: intentio auctoris, intentio lectoris, intentio operis. Lipovetsky, Antonio Candido e Paul Zumthor serão lidos pela importância para o aporte das relações entre a literatura e a sociedade e a inserção do sujeito criador nesse contexto. ____________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT This research aims to reflect on the lyrics of the band Legião Urbana for the city of Brasilia as inspiring motto of the topics presented in poetic lyrics. The choice of artistic material of this band is given by the fact that the poetic lyrics produced by Renato Russo, the leader, are part of a consistent work from the point of view of literary fact and generational profile. The eight albums released by the Legion, two are specifically made from an artist's vision brasiliense, and also, to a lesser extent, the other LPs found any allusion to Brasilia. Was selected as the research corpus third album, Que País É este - 1978/1987. The theoretical model for uncovering the process of creation and understanding of linguistic and semantic connections depart from Umberto Eco and the three types of convergent interpretation of the text: intentio auctoris, intentio lectoris, intentio operis. Lipovetsky, Antonio Candido and Paul Zumthor will be read by the importance to the contribution of the relations between literature and society and the insertion of the creative subject in this context.

Indivíduos não relacionados apresentam apenas 1% de diferenças entre seus genomas. Estas variações ocorrem na forma de substituições, inserções, deleções, rearranjos complexos ou até estruturais. Dentre essas variações, aquelas que apresentam uma frequência populacional acima de 1% são denominadas de polimorfismos. Tais variações são responsáveis por diferenças que vão desde a resposta imunológica até o tratamento com drogas, incluindo sensitividade das células tumorais, níveis de plasma, efeitos colaterais e toxicidade. A forma mais comum de polimorfismo genético entre humanos são os polimorfismo de base única ou Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms (SNPs), sendo mais de 47 milhões descritos no dbSNP, um banco de dados de pequenos polimorfismos do NCBI. No presente estudo, foi estabelecida uma abordagem computacional, com etapas de exclusão de regiões parálogas ou de baixa qualidade, com o objetivo de identificar variantes genéticas em sequências expressas gerados pelo método de Open Reading Frame ESTs (ORESTES) durante o Projeto Genoma Humano do Câncer. Diferentemente de outros softwares de detecção de polimorfismos, a abordagem computacional descrita neste estudo leva em consideração a informação a priori do número de bibliotecas distintas que reportaram a mesma variação. Foram identificadas 1900 mutações (853 sinônimas e 1047 não-sinônimas) presentes em duas ou mais bibliotecas distintas, que foram validados in-silico contra o dbSNP v130. O resultado da análise identificou 901 mutações já descritas no dbSNP (47,42%). Para confirmação da análise, foram selecionadas 10 mutações (6 novas e 4 já presentes no dbSNP) para validação pelo método de High Resolution Melt (HRM), seguido da caracterização por sequenciamento de DNA. Nesse caso, o resultado foi a validação de 50% das mutações selecionadas. A análise de interação protéica, Protein-Protein Interaction (PPI), realizada com as mutações não-sinônimas localizadas em domínios funcionais, revelou redes gênicas mais complexas em tecidos tumorais do que nos tecidos normais. Esta observação ratificou a literatura a respeito da transformação tumorigênica ser desencadeada pela combinação de mutações que ativam uma série de processos biológicos, para isso, afetando genes, vias gênicas e networks de vias gênicas relacionados. Em resumo, o presente estudo descreve uma abordagem computacional eficiente para identificação de mutações em dados de sequências expressas, além de avaliar o papel das mutações na tumorigênese. Unrelated humans have only 1% of non-simularity in their genome. These variations occur as substitutions, insertions, deletions, or even complex structural rearrangements. Among these variations, those which show a population frequency above 1% are called polymorphisms. Such variations are responsible for differences ranging from the immune response to treatment with drugs, including sensitivity of tumor cells, plasma levels, toxicity and side effects. The most common form of genetic polymorphism among human are Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms (SNPs), with more than 47 million reported in dbSNP, a database of small polymorphisms from NCBI. In this study, we established a computational approach, with steps to exclude low quality and paralogous regions, aiming to identify genetic variants in expressed sequences generated by the method of Open Reading Frame ESTs (ORESTES) for the Human Cancer Genome Project. Unlike other polymorphisms detection softwares, the computational approach described in this study takes into account the a priori information about the number of different libraries that reported the same variation. We identified 1900 mutations (853 synonymous and 1047 nonsynonymous) present in two or more different libraries, these mutations were in-silico validated against the dbSNP V130. The analysis result showed 901 mutations already described in dbSNP (47.42%). To confirm the analysis, we selected 10 mutations (six new and four already present in dbSNP) for validation by the method of High Resolution Melt (HRM), followed by characterization by DNA sequencing. In this case, the result was the validation of 50 % of the selected mutations. The Protein-Protein Interaction analysis (PPI), performed with non-synonymous mutations located in functional domains, showed more complex gene networks in tumor tissues than in normal tissues. This observation confirmed the literature regarding the tumorigenic transformation is triggered by the combination of mutations that activate a number of biological processes, thereby, affecting genes, gene pathways and networks of related gene pathways. In summary, this study describes an efficient computational approach to identify mutations in expressed sequence data, besides to evaluate the role of mutations in tumorigenesis.

Banksy is a graffiti and stencils authorial code name, a tag looming to the walls, to the façades, to the streets, to the squares of England since the early 90's, spreading for so many other urban spaces around the world (from Europe to Latin America, from USA to Palestine), a transit, an attitude already typical of the new British street artists joint tribe. From suffixing, Banksy is a signature in possible nicknaming to the term bank, on the profit, consumption diminutives; on the barricade, obstacle, resistance superlatives. By his efficient and effective anonymity it's conjectured to hide a 34-year-old English man, Robert Banks, from Bristol. Another possibility would be the pseudonym sheltering a group of artists making an effort at the exact same plastic and conceptual reasoning (cheerful and philosophical, reflexive of the Real and theNow). Besides the street's public spaces, Banksy also operates in original interference and appropriation of other public spaces: amusement parks (like Disneyland), zoos, museums specially; in "art-intruders" which inserts his works ironically defrauding not only the surveillance, but even more the access, the selective process and the authorization. To probe to find him is to create concerning to the ideology and the humor of his anonymity an investigation, a search not for the person or the character, but for what depicts; for his art itinerary, for what it cause and impels, building a small landscape of our days andtacking a dialogue, maybe a dialectics, in an imaginary interview starting from the own sly artist words activity target, invisible target. Banksy é um codinome autoral, uma assinatura de grafites e estênceis que se assomam aos muros, às fachadas, às ruas, às praças da Inglaterra desde a última década, propagando-se por outros tantos espaços urbanos ao redor do mundo (da Europa à América Latina, dos Estados Unidos à Palestina), um trânsito, uma atitude já típica da nova geração britânica de artistas do urbano em geral, grafiteiros em particular tribo unida. Assinatura em possível apelidação, pelasufixação, do termo inglês bank (banco), nos diminutivos do lucro, do consumo; nos superlativos da barricada, do obstáculo, da resistência. De seu eficiente e eficaz anonimato conjetura-se encobrir um bretão de Bristol, Robert Banks, de supostos trinta e cinco anos. Outra possibilidade estaria no pseudônimo abrigar um coletivo de artistas esforçando-se num mesmo raciocínio plástico e conceitual (bem-humorado e filosófico, reflexivo do real, do agora). Além do espaço público das ruas, Banksy também opera em original interferência e apropriação de outros espaços públicos: parques de diversões (como a Disneylândia), zoológicos, museus principalmente; em "arte-invasões" que inserem suas obras burlando ironicamente não apenas a vigilância, mas especialmente o acesso, o processo seletivo e a autorização. Tentar encontrá-lo é criar respeitante à ideologia e ao humor deseu anonimato uma investigação, uma busca não pelo indivíduo ou pelo personagem, mas pelo que representa; pelo trajeto de sua arte e pela realidade que a causa e impulsiona, construindo um pequeno panorama de nossos tempos e alinhavando um diálogo, talvez uma dialética, numa entrevista imaginária a partir das palavras do próprio sorrateiro artista alvo móvel, alvo invisível.

‘Calbar is where he is not’ is a symbolic condition reflected in his "absent presence" in the discussions about his desertion be deemed as betrayal or not, a historical controversy of centuries. In order to answer it, historical productions were made, remembrances and celebrations, which are the sources for the development of this research. Starting from Calabar's basis as a myth, the goal is to indicate which interests are involved in each context and also what our mythical figure allows us to comprehend about each of them. The plot allows us to observe the relations between history, memory and myth, from the end of the XIX century until the year of 2017, in an effort to present sources and conclusions, from several contexts, and, through memory’s history accompany the evocation processes of the mythical figure of Calabar. Divided into three parts, we analyze the production of the Historical Institute of Alagoas on its regard, the 'new sources presented', the revisionisms and disputes about his attitude, perceiving how his image is being constructed in history; then, we follow the construction of his memory in Porto Calvo, AL, his native city, observing how they take ownership on his history, aiming to draw a 'cultural tourism', and how they seek to cause an identification with Calabar among the population. Finally, we observed the significant celebration of the 'Bicentennial of the Emancipation of Alagoas' occurred in 2017, aiming on the developed activities that resumed Calabar, in the cities of Porto Calvo and Maceió. Concluding the permanence of Calabar as a myth, presenting at what point from the complaint (traitor or hero) we are and what it allows us to reflect on the construction of Alagoas identity nowadays. ‘Calabar está onde não está’ é uma condição simbólica, refletida em sua ‘presença ausente’ nas discussões a respeito de sua deserção ser ou não traição, uma controvérsia histórica de séculos. Em busca de respondê-la foram elaboradas produções de história, rememorações e comemorações, que são nossas fontes para desenvolvimento dessa pesquisa. Partindo inicialmente do pressuposto de Calabar como mito, o que pretendemos é indicar quais os interesses em cada contexto e o que essa figura mítica nos permite compreender sobre cada um deles. A trama nos permite observar as relações entre história, memória e mito, desde o fim do século XIX até 2017, num esforço de apresentar fontes e conclusões, nos diversos contextos, e, através da história da memória, acompanhar os processos de evocação da figura mítica de Calabar. Dividida em três partes, analisamos a produção do Instituto Histórico Alagoano ao seu respeito, as ‘novas fontes apresentadas’, os revisionismos e disputas sobre sua atitude, percebendo como na história vai sendo construída sua imagem; em seguida, acompanhamos a construção de sua memória em Porto Calvo, AL, sua cidade ‘natal’, observando como se apropriam da história dele, visando o ‘turismo cultural’, e como procuram gerar entre a população um sentimento de identificação com Calabar. Por fim, observamos a importante comemoração do ‘Bicentenário da Emancipação de Alagoas’ ocorrida em 2017, focando nas atividades desenvolvidas que retomaram Calabar, nas cidades de Porto Calvo e Maceió. Concluindo a permanência de Calabar como mito, apresentando em que ponto da querela (traidor ou herói) estamos e o que, também ela, nos permite refletir sobre a construção da identidade alagoana hoje. The Golandim River is located in S?o Gon?alo do Amarante (RN Brazil) and had its water recovered seven years ago by measurements of parameters of the water s quality analyses physicochemistry, microbiological and heavy metals. However, it is not well established if this river is truly recovered, so this study provides a wide knowledge about the quality of these waters. Therefore, this investigation was accomplished by assays of ecotoxicology utilizing Ceriodaphnia dubia and of genotoxicity of the river s water using a biomarker Tradescantia Pallida (Trad-MCN). In set, it carried through a study of environmental perception through questionnaires that approached questions related to the profile of the interviewed one, knowledge on the environment and of the river Golandim with the community that lives in the neighborhoods of the river to diagnosis as they perceive the environment where live and its problems. The assays of the water had been carried out by collecting samples in three different sites of the Golandim River. They were collected between the periods of December 2010 (dry season in the northeast of Brazil) and July 2011 (rainy season in the northeast of). The analysis of the data allowed observing that the majority of the inhabitants are adult and presents a global vision of what it is part of the environment, the majority mentions the pollution of the river as one of the problems of the city, considering it serious. The ecotoxicology assay showed that there was not acute toxicity in all three samples collected. Meanwhile, all these three samples demonstrated significant chronic toxicity. The results from the Trad-MCN assay presented an increase in the frequency of micronucleus in one of the sites analyzed (S3) (p<0.01), in both seasons collected. On the other hand, the sites S1 and S2 did not presented a significant increase of micronucleus using this bioassay. The analyses of chemicals detected an increase in the levels of some metals, in different seasons and samples, which can be associates with some compounds found in urban and industrial areas. On the other hand, the physicochemistries parameters demonstrated that the Golandim River is recouped, when compared with the values presented at the CONAMA s legislation. However, these results indicate the presence of compounds capable of inducing chromosomal mutation in plants. On the other hand, the parameters physicistchemistries demonstrate that the river Golandim is if recouping, since when compares the values observed with the legislation of the CONAMA. All these results point to the fact that the Trad-MCN assay was sensitive and efficient biomarker for chromosomal instability and the C. dubia ecotoxicology assay was as though an efficient biomarker of toxicity of water s quality. The results from Trad-MCN associated with the ecotoxicology demonstrates that these analyses are important for environmental monitoring, once the first bioassay described above indicates alterations at the standards of cells and the other one indicates alterations at the standards of organisms. This study alerts for the necessity to carry out biological assays for the analyses of the water s quality A ?gua ? essencial para a manuten??o da vida, entretanto, a polui??o ambiental vem causando a perda da qualidade dos recursos h?dricos, afetando assim a sa?de humana. Este estudo avaliou a qualidade da ?gua do Rio Golandim no munic?pio de S?o Gon?alo do Amarante/RN/Brasil ap?s a realiza??o do plano de recupera??o atrav?s de medi??es de par?metros de qualidade de ?gua - an?lises f?sico-qu?micas, de metais pesados e microbiol?gicos al?m de incluir ensaio de ecotoxicidade com Daphnia dubia e teste que detecta a presen?a de compostos mutag?nicos em Tradescantia pallida (Trad-MCN). Em conjunto, foi realizado um estudo de percep??o ambiental atrav?s de question?rios que abordou quest?es relacionadas ao perfil do entrevistado, conhecimentos sobre o meio ambiente e do rio Golandim, com a comunidade que vive nas proximidades deste rio para diagnosticar como eles percebem o ambiente em que vivem e seus problemas. Os experimentos foram realizados a partir de amostras de ?gua coletadas em dezembro de 2010 (esta??o do ano seca) e em julho de 2011 (esta??o das chuvas) em tr?s pontos diferentes do rio Golandim. A an?lise dos dados de percep??o ambiental permitiu observar que a maioria dos moradores s?o adultos e apresentam uma vis?o global do que ? meio ambiente e a maioria menciona a polui??o do rio como um dos problemas do munic?pio, considerando-o grave. Os dados resultantes do ensaio ecotoxicol?gico n?o indicou efeito de toxicidade aguda, entretanto demonstrou toxicidade cr?nica para a m?dia de reprodu??o dos clad?ceros nas esta??es do ano seca e chuvosa, em todos os pontos amostrados, os resultados provenientes do ensaio Trad-MCN para a ?gua bruta mostrou resposta positiva, representada pelo aumento na frequ?ncia de micron?cleos, para um dos pontos analisados (P3) em ambas as esta??es de coleta. As an?lises qu?micas detectaram um aumento nos n?veis de alguns metais nos diferentes per?odos e amostras, que podem estar associados ainda ? presen?a de compostos de origem urbana e industrial. Contudo, os par?metros f?sico-qu?micos demonstram que o rio Golandim est? se recuperando, j? que quando se compara os valores observados com a legisla??o brasileira do CONAMA. Ou seja, observa como se dá o processo de o sujeito se posicionar na função da autoria, constituindo-se, portanto, em autor. Uma pergunta o norteia : será que a escola, detentora do estatuto de provedora da capacidade de autoria, de fato possibilita a construção da função autor a seus alunos? Diante desta reflexão cai-se inevitavelmente em outra pergunta: que autor é este ao qual a escola abre espaço? O trabalho, estando calcado em uma perspectiva discursiva e, portanto, materialista-histórica, vai em busca das formas-sujeito às quais o sujeito de linguagem já se submeteu para entender melhor (' funcionamento específico da autoria, já que, pensar sobre a autoria, é pensar sobre a relação do homem com a linguagem. Há uma primeira parte destinada a um desenvolvimento suscinto de algumas questões relevantes para a Análise do Discurso, cuja reflexão é fundamental neste trabalho. O capítulo II refere-se a uma análise das duas formas de assujeitamento - religiosa e do direito - e sua relação com o sujeito autor. Finalmente, o capítulo m realiza uma análise deste sujeito autor na escola de hoje. El limitarismo es la perspectiva de que la justicia requiere que se limite la riqueza, al menos bajo ciertas condiciones. En su forma original, Ingrid Robeyns desarrolló y justificó normativamente esta perspectiva usando dos argumentos: el argumento democrático y el argumento de las necesidades urgentes insatisfechas. En este capítulo, quiero contribuir a la justificación del limitarismo proporcionando un argumento novedoso a favor del limitarismo que es distinto de los dos argumentos desarrollados por Robeyns. Este argumento está basado en el autorrespeto como un bien básico primario. De acuerdo con este argumento, el limitarismo es necesario para proteger la base social del autorrespeto de todos los miembros de la sociedad, de tal manera que puedan desarrollar un sentido de valor propio y puedan perseguir sus proyectos personales. Ya que este tipo de autorrespeto es un bien básico más importante que la riqueza por encima de cierto umbral, el limitarismo puede justificarse ya sea como un principio de justicia o como una implicación política directa de los principios de justicia, si resulta necesario para asegurar la base social del autorrespeto.

In order to further improve the wear resistance of tempered 8Cr4Mo4V steel, an electroshock treatment (EST) was conducted on the material. By means of Vickers hardness and friction-wear tests, the influence of different EST parameters on the wear resistance of materials was analyzed. The result proves that a slight decrease in the Vickers hardness of the sample is caused by EST, but the hardness consistency significantly is improved (44.7%) under appropriate treatment parameter (EST2). Meanwhile, the wear rates of specimens decrease by 42.9%, 50.0% and 71.4% under treatment of EST1-EST3, respectively. The EBSD and XRD indicates that the changes in hardness and wear resistances of 8Cr4Mo4V originates from the comprehensive effect of dislocations and carbides under the regulation of EST. In EST1, the precipitation and aggregation of carbides promotes secondary hardening, thereby reducing the wear rate. Opposite phenomenon occurs in EST2, carbide precipitation is suppressed while the lattice distortion is aggravated, the hardness rebounds slightly compared to EST1. In EST3, the greater decrease in hardness results in the formation of oxide film on the surface, further reducing the friction coefficient and wear rate.

Este capítulo busca concentrarse en la interrelación ente la minería y la formación del Estado moderno en la primera mitad del siglo para comprender los resultados políticos de esta situación en Bolivia. La paradoja que representa Bolivia entre nuestros casos de estudio es que si bien el desarrollo político de su Estado moderno fue promovido durante algunos episodios de intensa expansión estatal y de aumento de su autonomía, mantuvo la pobre capacidad estatal que determinó su contexto anterior. En nuestro análisis comparativo, argumentamos que esta paradoja ha sido moldeada significativa y no exclusivamente por, en primer lugar, el momento en que las características negativas de la minería empezaron a interactuar con la construcción del Estado moderno boliviano y, en segundo lugar, por el tipo de políticas elitistas que dicha interacción inicial facilitaba10. Este capítulo está organizado de la siguiente manera. La próxima sección discute la relación temprana entre el desarrollo político moderno de Bolivia y la minería. La tercera sección analiza la estructura de la relación Estado-sociedad que fue moldeada por esta secuencia, en particular la relación con las clases altas y cómo esto impactó el desarrollo inicial de las capacidades estatales. La cuarta sección explica las consecuencias de un Estado autónomo sin capacidad estatal en el contexto de la revolución de 1952, mientras que la quinta sección ofrece algunas conclusiones finales.

En el presente artículo abordamos los marcadores de evidencialidad en hablantes bilingües de quechua-castellano y la manera en que se representan las categorías respectivas en las traducciones del quechua al castellano. Creemos que esta última categoría ha sido descuidada en las reflexiones sobre el castellano andino, que normalmente se limitan a analizar el habla de castellanoandinohablantes sin instrucción formal (que sin duda constituyen la mayor parte de los hablantes de esta variedad) con lo cual se crea la ilusión de que el castellano andino está excluido del habla culta. Creemos que esto no es así. De hecho, este artículo presentará evidencia, proveniente precisamente de las traducciones, de que el castellano andino culto revela, al menos en relación con los evidenciales, propiedades similares al resto del castellano andino. En otras palabras, si reflexionamos profundamente sobre el tema, las traducciones realizadas por los hablantes bilingües y los textos extraídos de nuestro trabajo de campo tienen una estrecha relación o forman parte del castellano andino o del castellano de los bilingües.

En este artículo quiero argumentar que, si bien el programa de la excelencia en la investigación está fuertemente conectado a esta historia colonial y poscolonial, el programa es, de hecho, neocolonial. Hay trabajos recientes que muestran que nuestra concepción actual de la excelencia en la investigación y sus señales no surgieron sino hasta finales de los años cincuenta del siglo XX. Esto sugiere que su adopción y su difusión en los países con un legado colonial no debe verse solo como una consecuencia de la historia, sino también, como una nueva ola de colonización epistémica. Esta distinción ofrece importantes formas de reconocer, abordar y tratar los problemas y las oportunidades en un contexto poscolonial, y sugiere formas como estos países pueden proporcionar liderazgo y construir una comunidad con otras naciones poscoloniales, en desarrollo y en transición. Más que eso, puede ayudarnos a comprender cómo estas experiencias pueden proporcionar un liderazgo a Europa, Norteamérica y otros centros tradicionales de erudición occidental, y que parece poco probable que surja internamente.

En la actualidad, está ocurriendo un cambio en el tipo de energía que usan los vehículos, es por esto que la electrificación de los medios de transporte está aumentando a pasos gigantes y será una total realidad en muy poco tiempo. Pero para conseguir esta transición de automóviles con combustibles fósiles a los automóviles eléctricos se requiere garantizar la recarga de los vehículos, entonces hay que implementar una red de puntos de Recarga eléctrica que sustituyan las actuales estaciones de gasolina (gasolineras), por eso, este punto de cargadores eléctricos es llamado Electrolinera. El presente proyecto de investigación tiene como finalidad la elaboración del diseño de una red de electrolineras fotovoltaicas a nivel de los llanos orientales, las cuales estarán distribuidas a largo de las vías nacionales, y zonas urbanas, ya que, a la exponencial demanda de vehículos eléctricos, se prevé la necesidad de mejorar la cobertura de estaciones eléctricas en esta región e incentivar de esta manera el uso de vehículos eléctricos. Y de poder aportar a la sociedad con este servicio, teniendo así una relación sociedad y ambiente, de esta manera generar un impacto positivo. Con este trabajo se busca presentar una alternativa a las estaciones convencionales a través del diseño de una estación autosostenible, y de tal manera se está realizando la respectiva investigación donde se conocerá la aplicación de los sistemas fotovoltaicos, la normatividad pertinente, consumo energético, la posible inyección hacia la red pública de energía de la estación y otras temáticas necesarias para abordar el diseño final. Uno de los retos del automóvil eléctrico es su autonomía, la cual en la actualidad dependiendo según su modelo oscila entre los 180 y 230 km. Es considerable denotar que esta autonomía está aumentando con cada nuevo modelo de baterías, pero teniendo claro que para los desplazamientos de trayecto largo sean viables, es necesario contar que la recarga esté disponible y sea rápida, En la actualidad, se cuenta con cargadores ultrarrápidos, donde se consiguen tiempos estimados de recarga entre los 20 y 35 minutos. El objetivo de este proyecto de investigación es crear el diseño de una Primera electrolinera en un punto intermedio entre las ciudades de Villavicencio y Yopal para poder hacer posible el desplazamiento en automóvil eléctrico y así conectar ambas ciudades con este medio de movilidad, el diseño de la electrolinera estaría ubicada a 111 km de Villavicencio y a 132 km de Yopal lo que se podría considerar posible el viaje con las actuales autonomías de las baterías. Además, esta electrolinera podrá suplir cualquier medio de transporte eléctrico ya sea bicicleta, moto, patineta y automóvil. También la electrolinera fotovoltaica será autosostenible es decir la estación se proveerá de energía eléctrica para la alimentación de la iluminación y diferentes circuitos que van a componer el diseño. Al final se realiza un estudio presupuestal y de retorno de inversión donde se podrá evidenciar el valor de inversión del alcance propuesto y cuánto tiempo tardará en ser rentable.

La coyuntura política latinoamericana y la invasión rusa de Ucrania han cambiado también el contexto geopolítico internacional. Con negociaciones en varios planos entre Caracas y Washington, la oposición —al igual que el debilitado “gobierno encargado”— busca reposicionarse en el nuevo escenario —y reorganizarse internamente— con vistas a las presidenciales de 2024.

Gran revuelo ha causado en la comunidad académica internacional la reciente publicación de la Dra. Kate Crawford, autora del libro “Atlas of AI” quien en un artículo de Nature advierte que: “la pandemia de la COVID-19 se está utilizando como pretexto para introducir herramientas de inteligencia artificial no probadas en los lugares de trabajo y las escuelas.” Por lo que, además, insiste en que es hora de regular a los sistemas de inteligencia artificial (en adelante IA) que “interpretan” emociones humanas. En efecto, esta preocupación no es algo nuevo. Desde hace algunos años la mencionada autora junto a diversos investigadores y organizaciones protectoras de derechos humanos han venido advirtiendo sobre el incremento en la comercialización y el uso de sistemas de IA que aseguran poder analizar los movimientos faciales, el tono de voz y los patrones del habla, para interpretar emociones humanas.
