Der volle Inhalt der QuelleIn a current context marked by growing uncertainty, the survival of companies and their solidity in the face of the unexpected is more of a question than ever. The resilience and sustainability of companies are then at the heart of the concerns and speeches of decision-makers, leaders and managers. This craze for the survival and longevity of companies suggests that the vast majority of companies are doomed to disappear after a few decades of existence at most.It is surprising then to note the existence of companies that defy these statistics by accumulating more than a hundred years of longevity and by managing to preserve their family character since their creation. This sustainability then raises the questions and curiosity of any researcher who studies this very particular category of organizations. As a result, this doctoral work aims to understand how these companies were able to survive and remain sustainable for several decades or even centuries, through the study and identification of the factors of their sustainability. To do this, this research is based on the study of a sample of small and medium-sized French family businesses (SMEs) called "Hénokiennes", located in the Nouvelle Aquitaine region. Indeed, these century-old companies undoubtedly embody the best of entrepreneurship and would be carriers of a model of sustainability that could constitute an alternative to classic models.Adopting a constructivist posture, this research is based on a qualitative methodology based on a multiple case study. The abductive reasoning mode is retained for this purpose. This work is composed of two parts : - A theoretical part from which the theoretical framework of the research as well as the corpus of theoretical propositions will be identified: a review of the literature on the theme of the sustainability of EFs will be conducted first. Then, to refine and outline the empirical approach, theoretical axes of research relating to the governance of family businesses, their resilience and their strategic capabilities will be identified and analyzed. - An empirical part devoted to explaining the research methodology chosen, analyzing the cases and presenting the research results: the case analysis is carried out in two phases: a first step in which an individual analysis of each case is carried out: this is the intra-case analysis. This is followed by a comparative analysis aimed at identifying trends and results common to the individual case studies: this is the inter-case analysis. Finally, we close this study by proposing a conceptual model to explain the sustainability of Henokian SMEs, the latter constituting the ultimate objective of this research

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe present hybrid research sets as objective to deepen the knowledge of the constitution phenomenon of a dynasty within the small and medium familial exterprise (SMEs) operating in the wine sector of Aquitaine. Given the fact that the family issues do not seem similar to every family, the integration of two literatures, with respect to the theories related to the birth and the continuity of the dynasty, this permits the apprehension of the problematic research through an intergenerational approach. With respect to the study of the primary question, it seems very important to address the conflictual aspect in the theoretical analysis. In fact, the latter explores the functionning of the family firm, on one hand in an informal climate, through the familial gatherings, and on the other hand, in a formal context while highlighting the efficiency of the governong system in the case of the implication of the "large" family in the firm. The result of the different empirical analyses resembles, in several different points, the elements extracted from the two survey of the literature. The conditions of maintaining the dynasty are translated at the same time by the implicit, structural and perspective reasons, and also through intentional and intergenerational practices condusted in order to ensure its continuity. This synastic vocation is, since then, illustrated through the conservation of the familial and social identity, the strong rooting in the ownership, the familial management of the firm, the attachement to values, and finally, through the regional reference of dynasties and their legitimization

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleAny venture capital financing can be defined by two characteristics : a financial contribution and a financial, strategic and relationship follow-up. The purpose of this research work is double : - to show the impact of a venture capital financing on the structure and the management of small family business. - to define the characteristics of the agency relation between venture capital organizations (V. C. O. ) and company managers and to analyse all the consequences of the integration of the follow-up on the financial performance on the company and on its structure. A venture capital financing means a new logic in the financial function and changes in the strategic process of small family businesses. It changes the relationships between the company and all the persons involved in its environment. The agency relation between v. C. O. And company managers can explain the evolution of the financial performance and a new type of company structure

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleCorporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is defined by the European Commission (2011) as "the responsibility of companies for the effects they have on society". It is part of the approaches initiated voluntarily by the latter (driven by moral considerations or the ambition to improve their financial performance) but can also concern more constrained commitments, in response to external pressure (legal or from their stakeholders). Identifying and understanding the mechanisms that drive CSR investments are key issues to be able to promote and develop responsible behavior. This thesis, which is part of the RESET (Responsabilité Environnementale et Sociale des Entreprises du Territoire néo-aquitain) project funded by the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region, proposes to study the determinants of CSR. The first part of the study aims to understand and evaluate the impact of companies' motivations on the intensity of their involvement in socially responsible practices, based on data collected directly from companies in Nouvelle-Aquitaine. The first chapter focuses on the measurement of corporate social performance and presents the methodological difficulties induced by the construction of a multidimensional indicator. A second chapter is devoted to studying the influence of different motivations to practice CSR on the extra-financial performance indicator we have constructed. The results indicate that altruistic behaviors, driven by moral considerations and which lead companies to sacrifice profits in the interest of society, are those that correspond to the highest level of involvement in CSR. The second part of this thesis questions the coherence of companies' actions by studying more specifically the compensation of irresponsible actions. The first chapter examines the relationship between the level of information on environmental, social and governance practices communicated on the websites of companies in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region and the litigation to which they have been subjected. The results indicate that companies that have been at the origin of irresponsible actions have higher levels of communication. To complete this analysis, a final chapter examines the temporality between good and bad news. The objective is to determine whether companies engage in CSR to compensate for past bad actions, through a repair mechanism, or to mitigate the consequences of future irresponsibility, through a prevention mechanism. The results indicate that both mechanisms can exist simultaneously. The conclusions of this doctoral research are intended to provide recommendations that could help encourage socially responsible behavior in the territory of Nouvelle-Aquitaine in particular
