This article discusses the questions of providing assistance by foreign countries and international organizations to the Kingdom of Jordan. Jordan is in the grip of Syrian crisis reflected in arrival of a significant number of refugees. This, in turn, affects the deterioration of the economic situation and security in the state. Jordan has received assistance from the Gulf Cooperation Council that played a key role in aiding Jordan during the local protests. The article uses the content analysis for declarations of Jordan, initiated by the Ministry of International Cooperation; as well as complex approach towards understanding an international subject that greatly contributes to this assistance. It is concluded the most assistance is provided by the United States and the neighboring Arab countries, which influences the political views of Jordan upon regional crucial problems. At the same time, Jordan faces financial deficit that led to organization of local demonstration on the Kingdom and put the Jordanian government into a situation of serious crisis.

The peculiarities of the policy of contemporary Jordan in light of shortages of natural resources and problems of a socio-economic nature include stimulation of the research and development sector, as well as the creation of an effective innovation system. The purpose of the article is to conceptualize the priorities, main directions, forms and results of the European Union's assistance to scientific, technological and innovative development of Jordan since 2010s. The study reveals the synergy of EU assistance in the implementation of Jordan's policy to strengthen its competitiveness in the field of science, technology and innovation in the form of programs and projects at the multilateral and bilateral level. The article substantiates the conclusion about the contradictory nature of the results of this assistance. While it increases the research potential of Jordan, the EU is not interested in integrating the country into global value chains. This leads to a slowdown in its economic development and simultaneously to a slowdown in the development of the national innovation system due to the lack of effective commercialisation of knowledge and technologies in the national and international markets. Jordan's integration into the European Research Area involves solving a number of problems, for example, participation in the process of establishing priorities for regional cooperation in science and technology.

This article analyzes Japan’s Overseas Development Assistance (ODA) policy in Jordan, focusing primarily on the areas concerning security. After the oil shock in 1973, security concerns in the Middle East affected Japan’s economic security policy. However, Japan’s long vulnerability in energy supply was not the sole determinant of its aid policies in the Middle East. Rather, a paradigm shift in the Japanese government’s ODA policy in the 1990s, the implementation of the human security approach, had a greater impact than economic security in subsequent Japanese ODA programs in Jordan. Japan has given more assistance to areas relevant to military security in its ODA in Jordan, particularly after increasing security concerns about the Middle East since the early twenty-first century. The two phenomena—Japan’s more aggressive commitment in the Middle East, including its deployment of Japan Self-Defense Forces (JSDF) in the region and Jordan’s greater responsibility in regional security—occurred simultaneously because of a series of crises after 2003. The unusual nature of Jordanian society today, a small society that hosts refugees from many nations, means the new Japanese ODA approach in Jordan has more diverse recipients than ever, as the country is becoming a host for a community of refugees.

Jordan is heavily affected by the influx of over 1.4 million Syrians among them 655,000 registered refugees. Today, the country has been struggling to provide housing, water, education, healthcare and jobs to its increased population and this huge number of Syrian refugees. When Syrians first arrived to Jordan they received assistance and sympathy from the host communities but once it became clear that they are here to stay and started to compete with local population for food, housing, jobs and services things started to change. Host communities in Mafraq and elsewhere in the country became weary of refugees, as the two groups have to compete over such scarce socio-economic resources and would rather see Syrians go back to their country. The study recommends more international aid to Jordan to enable the government to provide food, jobs and services to its population and refugees. The government should provide economic aid for the local population in Mafraq to help them cope with the refugees’ crisis.

Local governments play an important role in the economic and social development of local services provided to localities. In Jordan, local governments face problems and challenges that impede this development. The purpose of this descriptive study is to investigate the magnitude of challenges faced by local governments using a random sample (251) of mayors and heads of provincial governorates. Qualitative methods with a purposive sample employing twenty in-depth face-to-face interviews were conducted to identify the major challenges. After analyzing data using the SPSS, the study pointed out that the lack of financial resources and the lack of independence of local government in managing local funding is another major challenge. The study revealed that environmental protection was the biggest challenge. Responsiveness and public participation are other challenges faced by local governments. Based on the study results, the recommendation and provision of centralized technical assistance are required to maintain environmental protection. However, capacity building for local employees is a must. The critical financial position of local governments needs to be addressed by re- evaluating the share of funds allocated to local units.

The research aimed to study the contribution of the Islamic economy in reducing the unemployment problem caused by Corona pandemic (Covid-19) in the Jordanian labor market. The study used the descriptive analytical approach and the inductive approach. One of the most important results of the study was that the Corona pandemic and its accompanying economic repercussions had caused an increase in the unemployment rate in Jordan, and that the Islamic economics tools and institutions have contributed to mitigating this increase. The Jordanian Zakat Fund, Awqaf Funds Development Department, and donations to the Al-Khair Account, contributed to mitigating the economic effects of the Corona pandemic on the Jordanian labor market. Jordanian Islamic banks also contributed, through Al-Qard Al-Hasan, to mitigate the effects of the pandemic on unemployment. The study recommended the need to urge the rich to provide financial assistance in its forms, and encouraging investment in projects that employ large numbers of unemployed.

Social media networks have become a prominent role in forming social relations, especially among university students, the transmission of information, the circulation of data, and the spread of topics among students and all members of society. In addition, these networks reflect how people think, their lifestyles, and what issues they think about. Through them, we can study the prevailing behavior patterns, including the stereotypical or mental image of Syrian students in Jordan. Therefore, the current study aimed to identify the nature of the mental image of Syrian students in Jordanian universities as reflected by social media and to know the mental image in its various economic, political, and entertainment aspects that social media reflects on Syrian students. Also, the study looked at revealing patterns of social media use among students. The study followed the descriptive approach to achieve these objectives. A questionnaire was used on a sample of Jordanian university students. The results concluded that the Syrian students in Jordan live in good conditions and are treated well by the people of Jordan. Also, students in Jordanian universities do not differentiate between students according to their nationalities. Syrian students only suffer from poor material living conditions and suffer bad psychological conditions because of immigration and leaving their homelands. The material assistance provided by international organizations can significantly alleviate their suffering, and the image formed about them among the Jordanian people is a good one. Finally, Jordan did not witness any negative actions by these students. Rather, they reflected the good image of the Syrian Arab student. In light of the results, the study presented some recommendations and suggestions.

The European Union has drawn on its migration policy in the Middle East and North Africa as a method of region-building that takes resilience as its “Governing Principle” when responding to crises. The central theme of resilience is to keep refugees closer to their home instead of flowing into Europe. This approach might be promising, yet it has both positive and negative effects. In the absence of adequate resources, resilience building may exacerbate the economic, political and social vulnerabilities already existing in these countries. In addition, resilience does not seem to put an end to the refugees’ suffering which, in turn, leads to increasing demands for better services, which could ultimately lead to violent riots that endanger the security of these states. Hence, resilience may seem to jeopardise rather than safeguard the security of these hosts. However, considering the case of displacement from Syria, the article focuses on the EU’s approach to refugees in its neighbourhood, and attempts an in-depth analysis of the EU’s refugee cooperation with Jordan, one of the key regional hosts, to argue that while resilience might be an approach with opposing effects, the EU and Jordan are working to make it a promising one. Their focus is to maintain a balance between the interests of refugees and of local communities. More importantly, the role of resilience in preserving Jordan’s economic and social stability and its social cohesion makes it a more promising approach than simply providing humanitarian assistance.

In migration studies, humanitarian work and workers are studied as benefactors or managers of migrants and refugees. This article inverts the gaze from “researching down” refugees to “studying up” the humanitarian structure that governs them. The article studies how the humanitarian industry ballooned after the Syrian refugee response in Jordan due to the influx of expatriate humanitarians as economic migrants from the global North to refugee situations in the host country in the global South. It examines the global division of mobility and labor among expatriate, local, and refugee humanitarian workers, investigating the correlation between geographic (horizontal) mobility and social/professional (vertical) mobility, demonstrating that the social and professional mobility of workers depends on their ability to access geographic mobility. Thus, rather than advocating for and facilitating global mobility, the humanitarian industry maintains a colonial division of labor and mobility. This raises the question: who benefits most from humanitarian assistance?

Introduction Vaccination against coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is a key factor in protecting vulnerable populations, reducing healthcare burdens, and mitigating the economic and social impacts of the pandemic. Objective This study aims to investigate Jordanian nurses’ perceptions, acceptance, and factors affecting their decisions toward the COVID-19 vaccines. Methods In this study, we conducted a cross-sectional design. Data have been investigated between July 1, 2021 and August 30, 2021. Nurses at three private hospitals in Jordan were surveyed online. The online survey, created using Google Forms, was distributed to nurses via email and social media sites (e.g., WhatsApp and Facebook). Participants were eligible if they were a RN nurse and/or nursing assistance, and had access to the internet via computer and/or smartphone. Results Out of 189 responses, 50.6% agreed to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, while 25.5% disagreed, and 23.9% were undecide to receive the vaccine. A large proportion (84.66%) of the respondents had a negative perception toward the vaccine, while only a small minority (15.34%) had a positive perception of it. The older nurses, those with more experience, and those with a higher level of education were more likely to accept the vaccine, with acceptance rates of 56.1%, 54.8%, and 63.9%, respectively. Conclusion Of the nurses surveyed, 84.66% had a negative perception of the COVID-19 vaccine, and only 50.6% reported that they would be willing to get vaccinated. It is crucial to address the concerns and reduce apprehension among nurses about the vaccine. Efforts to increase awareness about the importance of vaccination in controlling the disease through workshops and online meetings are needed.

BackgroundMore than 80% of the world’s 1.3 billion tobacco users live in low-income and middle-income countries (LMICs), where progress to address tobacco and its harms has been slow. The perception that tobacco control detracts from economic priorities has impeded progress. The Secretariat of the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (FCTC) is leading the FCTC 2030 project, which includes technical assistance to LMICs to analyse the economic costs of tobacco use and the benefits of tobacco control.MethodsThe Secretariat of the WHO FCTC, United Nations Development Programme and WHO supported 21 LMICs between 2017 and 2022 to complete national investment cases to guide country implementation of the WHO FCTC, with analytical support provided by RTI International. These country-level cases combine customised estimates of tobacco’s economic impact with qualitative analysis of socio-political factors influencing tobacco control. This paper overviews the approach, observed tobacco control advancements and learnings from 21 countries: Armenia, Cabo Verde, Cambodia, Chad, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Eswatini, Georgia, Ghana, Jordan, Laos, Madagascar, Myanmar, Nepal, Samoa, Sierra Leone, Sri Lanka, Suriname, Tunisia and Zambia.ResultsTobacco control advancements in line with investment case findings and recommendations have been observed in 17 of the 21 countries, and many have improved collaboration and policy coherence between health and economic stakeholders.ConclusionsTobacco control must be seen as more than a health concern. Tobacco control leads to economic benefits and contributes to sustainable development. National investment cases can support country ownership and leadership to advance tobacco control.

This article focuses on the history of the development of waqf (endowment) in the Middle East and its role in pioneering contemporary Islamic civilization. Waqf has been a supporting pillar for the upholding of the social-religious institutions of society for centuries. The method taken in this research is the historical-phenomenological approach. The result shows that waqf began to be known and practiced since the Prophet Muhammad built the Quba and the Nabawi Mosque. The same was further promoted by the Righteous Caliphs (Khulafa al-Rashidin) and the caliphs afterward. In the next period, waqf became rapidly developing in the Middle Eastern countries, such as Egypt, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Sudan, Kuwait, and Syria. The development of waqf is not only in religious facilities but also in agricultural land, plantations, educational institutions, apartments, money, and shares. All of them are managed productively, and their use varies greatly. Waqf played an urgent role even in pioneering contemporary Islamic civilization. There are two patterns of management of waqf assets for the development of Islamic civilization: first, the development of waqf for social activities, such as waqf for social justice, people's welfare, education development, health facilities, public policy advocacy, legal assistance, environmental preservation, the development of arts and culture and other programs; second, development of economic value, such as for the development of trade, industry, property purchase, and other economic activities. Keywords: Endowments, Development of Waqf, Social Activities, Contemporary Islamic Civilization

This paper focuses on the distribution of the working poor by income level across countries and examines how indicators such as the level of unemployment, the labour force, and the number of self-employed, impact that distribution. In addition, it also examines the impact of official development assistance and the massive influx of refugees as a result of the Syrian conflict. Four income levels of the working poor are analysed using the panel data technique. The sample includes the 5 main host countries (Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, and Turkey) for the period from 1991 to 2021. Our results confirm that unemployment is not a significant predictor for developing countries, so we recommend indicators of job quality. Moreover, our results confirm a low impact of refugees on the labour market in host countries. Furthermore, the effect of self-employment on the income level of the working poor is positive but limited.

Abstract Objectives This study aims to explore home-treated COVID-19 patients’ experiences and perceptions of pharmaceutical care services offered during their sickness. Methods This is a cross-sectional online questionnaire study, where a 30-item questionnaire was texted via a link to COVID-19 patients who were tested positive previously. A list of anonymised numbers was obtained from different COVID-19 testing centres. The study received ethical approval from the Institutional Review Board at the King Abdulla University Hospital/Jordan University of Science and Technology. Key findings A total of 268 patients who were previously diagnosed with COVID-19 agreed to participate in this study. Only 22.9% of patients reported taking medications regularly. Almost one-third of respondents (28.7%) indicated that pharmacists were involved in prescribing medicine to patients. Almost half the respondents (49.6%) stated that they or their caregivers obtained information and advice about their medicine from the pharmacists. Only 54.9% of the respondents agreed/strongly agreed that pharmacists have enough scientific information to provide the necessary medical assistance to COVID-19 patients. Patients who work in the medical field, and who always get their medication from the same pharmacy, showed better perception towards pharmaceutical care services that might be provided to COVID-19 patients (P < 0.01). Conclusions Pharmacists had an unsatisfactory contribution to the management of the disease in outpatient settings. Moreover, there was a poor perception of the pharmacists’ role including their knowledge, communication skills and counselling skills. Thus, it is essential to improve pharmacists’ knowledge and practices about infectious diseases.

The study dealt with the German Federal Israeli political relations since the political recognition and the exchange of diplomatic representation on May 12, 1965, and the timing of the political recognition on this date is considered a gift to Israel on the seventeenth anniversary of its founding. The study focused on the development of bilateral political relations from 1965-1969 due to the exchange of power when the leader of the Social Democratic Party, Willy Brandt, formed the government for the first time in contemporary German history. The study addressed the research questions, which are what are the political factors that led to political recognition and the exchange of diplomatic representation and at the highest the level of how the internal German policy affected the bilateral relations between the two countries, and whether the German – Israeli political relations could be considered special and distinct relations on Germany's relations with any other country, especially during the Israeli aggression on the Arabs in 1967, and the study proved that there are many factors affecting the continuity of development in relations for what it presented the successive German government until 1969 provided finaneial, economic and other assistance for the benefit of the Israeli side and without the slightest consideration of its negative impact on German Arab relations, and the study highlighted the support of the Federal Republic of Germany with Israel during its aggression against Egypt, Jordan and Syria in June 1967, noting that it was the expansionist goals of Israel.

The study aims at measuring the effects of information technology on the transformation of businesses in communication companies in Jordan. The study population consisted of companies' directors as well as their deputies, assistants, advisors, in addition to department managers and their assistants. The total number of the study subjects is 3 designated communication companies in Jordan; these are: Zain, Umniah, and Orange. To achieve the aim of the study, the researcher had prepared a questionnaire which comprises of 45 items covering the three factors of the independent variable (Information Technology): infrastructure, developmental environment, and executive support systems and applications, as well as the three factors of the dependent variable (Transformation of Businesses): operations, organization change, and workers' competence. In order to test the hypotheses, the following three criteria were adequately used: The Medians, the Standard Deviations, as well as the Regression Analysis. The study has reached a number of results; the most notable amongst these results is that there is a positive effect that is statistically significant of information technology on the elements of business transformation in Jordanian communication companies and all of their relating elements. The last decade of the twentieth century and the turn of twenty-first century witnessed significant progress in technology in general and information technology and communication in particular. Such progress still continues until today, accelerating with wide quick strides more than ever. This age has produced many mechanisms for manufacturing knowledge and more advanced technological means that have made the globe as a small village. Communication technology, which is represented by the internet, has played a huge rule in transferring information and technological revolution from the north to the south passing by the east and the west at the same time. All of that have had an impact on all political, economic, educational, teaching, social, media, and advertisement systems in all communities. The term technology is derived from Greek. It consists of two parts, techno, which means skills or art, and logy, which means science or study. Thus, the word technology means the science of performance, science of implementation, or the technical methods to achieve a practical purpose, the science of industrial operation.

Jordan has been praised by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank (WB) as a successful case of social protection reform. While implementing a structural adjustment programme (SAP), Jordan accepted the WB's policy assistance and successfully eliminated food subsidies, which the IMF/WB have repeatedly criticized for their inefficiency as a poverty alleviation programme. Nevertheless, even while officially suspending food subsidies, the Jordanian government still continued to fund them. Moreover, it officially reinstituted the subsidies in 2005. This fact demonstrates that the policy assistance is not powerful enough to change the food subsidy system, which is in-built in the social contract in Jordan.

This research aims to measure the regional disparities in Jordan’s economic growth during 2010-2017. As an indicator to measure the economic growth in each region is the regional factor (R) adopted, and for estimation the regional factor is the Shift and Share method used. This method is widely used by geographical economist. The annual average of household income, as economic indicator, to estimate the regional factor in this study will be adopted. Data on annual household income were taken from the expenditure and income surveys prepared by the Jordanian General Statistics Department in year 2010 and year 2017. The results of this study indicate that economic growth in Irbid region and Mafraq region was greater than the national growth, while the rest of the regions have had much slower economic growth compared to national growth during the study period. Expect Amman region, the capital of Jordan, showed similar economic growth to national level. The results of the research indicate that the region’s share of income increased for regions that achieved high economic growth and in return this share was reduced to the values that showed low growth and lower than the rate of national economic growth. The least economically developed regions are the regions in the south of the country, despite the development policies in the field of balanced regional development, but because of the lack of infrastructure, they are still unable to reduce the development gap between the regions in Jordan. The study recommended the need for the government to enable the regions to accelerate regional development as well as reduction in the development gap between them by devolving administrative and financial powers from the central level to the regional level. It also recommended the need to support investment, especially in the less developed regions. Keywords: economic growth, regional economics, income distribution, development planning, decentralization.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to show that turning Jordan into an economic free zone will lead to a significant increase in foreign investments. This increase, in turn, will lead to an economic growth and to a reduction in the unemployment rate. Jordan is a developing country and any successful investments in the economy sector will have a positive impact on the quality of the social life of its people. This is particularly important now in view of the economic pressure that Jordan is going through as a result of the presence of a huge number of immigrants who have fled the civil wars in neighboring countries.  Methodology: This study has utilized the relevant literature by way of evaluating the benefits of establishing economic free zones in Jordan. Many of the findings are based on analyzing statistical information published by governmental institutions in Jordan. Findings: Jordan offers an attractive investment environment due to the security and stability it enjoys compared with other countries in the Arab region. As such, it has succeeded in establishing new economic free zones through partnership with foreign investors. This has led to a significant increase in the flow of more foreign investments in Jordan. The present study shows that turning the whole of Jordan into an economic free zone will lead to yet a further increase of foreign investments, and hence to more empowerment of the economic sector. Limitations:  The quantitative data available is limited to the years 1999-2007. Value: The findings of this study can be a point of departure for researchers and economic decision-makers in Jordan to prepare economic plans with the purpose of attracting foreign investments and hence promoting economic growth in the country.

The study aimed to investigate the impact of motivation factors on an individual’s decision to choose Jordan as their primary tourism destination in the Middle East. The decision to choose Jordan as a medical destination will be analyzed based on factors, including government support; push engagement, and image perception. To this end, the study will gather data from 300 online individuals who have traveled to the Middle East for medical purposes. A qualitative approach will be adopted to provide insight into an individual’s preference for Jordan as the primary medical destination. A Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling method was adopted, which allows for the creation of relations with different variables. The study’s findings indicate that people from rural areas in the Middle East preferred Jordan as a medical destination. Also, more women than men traveled to Jordan for medical purposes. Finally, more single people than married persons choose medical assistance in Jordan. Future studies are needed to ascertain how factors such as quality and cost influenced medical tourism into Jordan. The results indicated that the highest percentage of international students were at the University of Jordan, and their field of study usually is in medicine and health majors, and the largest number of international students were Iraqi students. The economic effects were represented in spending rates for international students that include spending on: university fees; food and drink; communications; housing; books and stationery; and transportation. According to the survey, the most common obstacle that international students faced during their stay in Jordan were: the high costs of accommodations in tourists places; the high cost of food and drinks; the cost of tickets for some tourist places. The results also indicate that there is also a statistically significant effect at (α ≤ 0.05) for gender variable on the economic variables: tuition fees rate; books and students supplies; and the costs of tourist trips. In addition, there was no statistically significant effects at (α ≤ 0.05) for gender variable on of the economic variables such as: expenditure on housing; transportation; communications; and food and drinks. There is also a statistically significant effect at (α ≤ 0.05) for nationality, university type, and specialization variables on the following economic variables: tuition fees rate; housing; books and students’ supplies; transportation; food and drink; and the costs of tourist trips. The study concluded with several recommendations and the most important is the necessity to propose coordination between the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities in general, and Jordanian universities in particular; to create promotional programs for tourist sites targeting international students.

Traffic accidents in Jordan represent a serious problem, where every day about 2 persons die by road accidents, and the country loses between 2-3 percent of its gross domestic products (GDP) due to this problem. This research aims to estimate the total and unit costs (per crash severity and vehicle type) of road accidents in Jordan during three years (2011 through 2013) using human capital approach, and also to estimate the value of statistical life in Jordan for risk reduction of person’s death by road accident using willingness-to-pay approach. The results revealed that Jordan is still suffering from a continuous rise in its road accidents’ costs without a sufficient improvement accompanied with the dramatic increases in its number of vehicles and population (during the study period), especially after the crisis of Syrian refugees who enter the Jordan during this period. The estimated total costs of accident in the years 2011, 2012 and 2013 were about US $ (3814, 4718 and 5146, respectively, which constituted 2.5%, 2.3% and 2.25% of the total country’s GDP for the same years.

This study aims to examine the impact of renewable energy consumption, capital, and labor on economic growth in Jordan during the period 1996-2018. The study used the Johansen co-integration test, Cobb-Douglas production function, and the dynamic ordinary least squares (DOLS), to test the hypotheses of the study. The results of the co-integration test showed that there is a long-run equilibrium relationship between the study variables. The results of (DOLS), indicated that renewable energy consumption has a long-run relationship with the economic growth in Jordan and that the consumption of renewable energy has a positive and statistically significant impact on the economic growth in Jordan. Capital and labor have a positive and statistically significant impact on economic growth in Jordan. The study recommends adopting policies that would increase investment in renewable energy by providing exemptions, easy loans at low-interest rates. Furthermore, it also encourages adopting renewable energy policies as an effective option to reduce pollution and provide job opportunities to ensure good economic growth rates in Jordan.

Japanese official development assistance (ODA) totaled $9.13 billion in 1988, which put Japan neck and neck with the United States for the title of largest aid-donor country. In the few decades since joining the Development Assistance Committee in 1961, Japan has steadily increased its aid effort until the country is now one of the major sources of economic cooperation. This article first outlines the characteristics of Japanese ODA—such as its emphasis on loans to Asia—and then discusses the various factors that have shaped these characteristics. In recognition of the fact that yen credits are central to Japanese assistance, the significance and impact of those yen credits are then examined. Finally, some recent developments in Japanese assistance and some issues that remain to be resolved are reviewed.

Jordan is an upper-middle-income country with high expenditures on pharmaceuticals. The development of new rare disease (e.g. hemophilia) therapies has encountered significant obstacles with respect to economic the cost of the disease and treatment. The aim of this overview was to estimate current annual spending on hemophilia treatment in Jordan and estimate the financial impact of adapting a new medication (Emicizumab) recently used for treating hemophilia patients in Jordan. Methods: based on the literature review, direct medical costs were quantified, required items’ costs from the actual practice in Jordan were elicited from an expert panel, and a focus group meeting with the same was conducted one month later to determine the current estimated number of hemophilia Patients in Jordan, identify current treatment on demand quantities and their prices. All related medical costs were also identified (e.g. bleeding, the estimated number of hospital days, and/or Intensive Care Unit per bleeding episodes). Estimation of the annual consumption of current on-demand treatment quantities and cost were calculated and compared with scenarios of adding the new therapy (Emicizumab). Results: showed that the financial impact of using Emicizumab S.C. instead of Recombinant Factor VIIa I.V. on the budget of the Jordanian government will be 425,747 JOD ($601,338) annually. Conclusions: the economic advantages of a new hemophilia treatment might be very substantial for patients.
