Abstract Citrus bark cracking viroid (CBCVd), formerly known as pathogen in the genus Citrus and first detected in Slovenian hops in 2014, threatens hop production as it leads to important economic losses. Reduction in yield and quality and even death of the infected plants within a few years are typical observations due to CBCVd infections of hops. The viroid is easily transmitted and spreads rapidly. As it cannot be controlled by plant protection measures, avoiding its introduction into hop gardens and eradicating first centres of infection are of utmost importance. An indispensable prerequisite is a reliable detection method suitable for large-scale routine testing. In this study, the development of primers and probe for real-time RT-PCR for sensitive CBCVd detection is described. To exclude “false negative” results, a nad5 mRNA-based internal positive control was included. To our knowledge, this is the first time such a duplex real-time RT-PCR detection method for CBCVd at least in hops is described. In addition, first method validation data are presented.

In 2016, partially recovering its old status of Festum Duplex I Classis, the liturgical celebration of Mary Magdalene was reassigned into Feast, because of her crucial role in announcing the resurrection of Christ to the apostles, becoming, therefore, their own apostle. The designation apostola apostolorum is literally found in Saint Thomas Aquinas. Pursuing a better knowledge of Mary Magdalene, we focus our analysis on chapter 20 of Super Evangelium S. Ioannis lectura, written by the Dominican Master. We follow John’s narrative through the pen of Saint Thomas and examine several scenes: the empty sepulchre, the run to Peter and John (and their run to the grave), the sadness, the dialogue with the angels and with the hypothetical gardener and, last, the mission assigned to her by Jesus Christ. We also explain Aquinas’ difficulties in connecting the biblical text with the biological status of woman in Aristotelian biology. Finally, we clarify why Aquinas states that the strength of Magdalene surpasses the strength of the disciples and presents her as a role model.

Rose rosette disease (RRD), caused by the Rose rosette emaravirus (RRV), is a major threat to the garden rose industry in the United States. There has been limited work on the genetics of host plant resistance to RRV. Two interconnected tetraploid garden rose F1 biparental mapping populations were created to develop high-quality tetraploid rose linkage maps that allowed the discovery of RRD resistance quantitative trait loci (QTLs) on linkage groups (LGs) 5, 6, and 7. These QTLs individually accounted for around 18–40% of the phenotypic variance. The locus with the greatest effect on partial resistance was found in LG 5. Most individuals with the LG 5 QTL were in the simplex configuration; however, two individuals were duplex (likely due to double reduction). Identification of resistant individuals and regions of interest can help the development of diagnostic markers for marker-assisted selection in a breeding program.

The Building is a combination of a green house and multi familyhousing building. The building´s courtyard is transformed in to a winter garden and creates an climate controlled environment with exotic vegitation blooming all year around. The courtyard is working as an extra livingroom with nice public walks in different levels were people can relax, exercise and socialise. The heat generated from the winter garden can be reused and recycled in to the floor slabs. It can also be deposited into the ground under the garden creating a climate smart heating system. One important aspect when drawing the plans was to give all the apartments a private space inside the wintergarden. I created plans where the allocation of the garden is equal. the private space is located on the second floor in the duplex apartments but some apartments only consist of one level and some extra care went in to making a private space for them too. The winter garden not only allows people to watch the trees and plants it also gives them the possibility to grow there own food on the private balcony and  just outside the kitchen window. Having plants outside the kitchen blocks the view from people passing by on the public promenade.
Byggnaden är en kombination av ett växthus och ett flerbostadshus. Byggnadens innergår har ett glastak som som möjliggör ett controllerat climat med växter som blommar året runt. innergården fungerar som ett extra vardagsrum med trevliga promenader i olika nivåer där människor kan träna, socialisera eller bara slapna av och njuta naturen. Värmen som genereras av den inglasade gården kan återanvändas och pupmas in i bjälklagen och marken under gården vilket skapar ett klimatsmart uppvärmningssystem.  en viktig aspekt när jag ritade planerna var att ge alla lägenheter ett privat rum inne i gården. Jag skapade planer där anspråket av gården var så lika som möjligt. Det privata rummet är placerat på övervåningen i etage lägenheterna men några lägenheter har bara ett plan vilket ledde till några special lösningar för att skapa ett avgränsat rum för dem också. Den ingalsade gården erbjuder inte bara en vacker miljö med växter och träd, det finns även möjlighet att odla sia egna frukter och grönsaker på den privata balkongen samt utanför köksfönstret. Planteringen av högre växter utanför fönstret kan skydda insynen från grannar som går förbi på den publika prommenaden.

This chapter surveys the eighteen French translations of Paradise Lost, from the earliest ‘elegant’ prose translation of Dupré de Saint-Maur (1729), to the latest, Himy’s translation into unrhymed verse (2001), with due attention to Chateaubriand’s most renowned translation (1836). The chapter then turns to the only French translation, or rather ‘imitation’, done by a woman writer and poet: du Bocage’s Paradise terrestre, poème imité de l’anglais de Milton (1748). While Milton’s poem tackles the question of God’s plan for the redemption of humankind, du Bocage’s poem describes the pleasures of Adam and Eve in the garden; du Bocage is not interested in theological issues. This ‘imitation’ is a fascinating and key example of the transculturation of a foreign work into the cosy atmosphere of the salon of the French literary élites.
