Der volle Inhalt der QuelleSpanish society, essentially agricultural until the 1950s, underwent an accelerated industrialization, promoted by Franco's government, which led to a rapid and irreversible decline of rural areas. These territories became depopulated spaces that the state allowed to decline in favor of the central core (Madrid), some peripheral regions (such as the Basque Country and Catalonia) and new coastal tourist centers. Through the analysis of the discourse on nature and the agrarian world from 1950 to the present time, this research work focuses on the role of the rural exodus in the socio-economic evolution of Spain and attempts to shed light on the way ecology has spread in this country as deruralization has progressed. The consequences of the disappearance of the peasant societies that once occupied the spaces that today are known as España vacía (empty Spain) have been relatively little studied. However, several writers of the second half of the twentieth century have studied the history of this "silent revolution": Miguel Delibes, Julio Llamazares Rafael Chirbes, among others, lament in their novels the fate of these regions and their inhabitants and highlight the contradictory relationship that Spaniards have with their rural past. Also, the former agricultural territories, neglected and marginalized by the public authorities, seem to be regaining the importance they once had in the eyes of the Spaniards. For rural Spain becomes a political issue from the moment we look at it, both in the past, questioning how to overcome the wounds caused by the civil war and the dictatorship, of which it still bears the scars, and in the future, through the question of how to respond to the environmental crisis, preserving nature and farmland

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleEach exhibit is located in a space of authenticity. Its localization depends on the operations applied since the original sampling in the nature until the presentation to the public. Two axes define the space of authenticity: naturality and realism of the object. The object, partially denatured, sometimes artificialized, is nevertheless invested a function of mediation for the visitors. This work approaches preliminary questionings as well as constraints and advantages of the artificial. It shows that the artificial cannot be used without precaution. Moreover, even if artificialisation may add difficulties to the mediation purpose, the formidable potential of the artificial artefacts should not be denied. This study is useful for designers who wish to give a "true" place to the "false" in their exhibitions. It permits to help them to make the good choice in what concern the adequate artefact in harmony with the mediation purpose of the exhibition

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleFrom the hlstorical analysis of the colonial and post-colonial times of brazilian amazonia, the author shows how was the construction of an amazonian human category : the caboclos. Often introduced as a mixture from amerindians and whites, the caboclos are the dominant society's formalized expression of the other, the ones nobody wants to be. After remembering the existence of an amazonian caboclo bestiary haunting the forests, the rivers and the villages, the author brings into relief the importance of the confrontation with those fantastic seings. Stressing the reading and the analysis of caboclos' talks about these extreme othernesses which are constituing this singular fantastic bestiary, the author insists on the tacit role played by those beings of the liminarity and the metamorphosis : their reference in the meeting' narrations occurs as a genuine identity and memory operator. The confrontation with the otherness appears like the spirit of the amazonian caboclos world : without the confrontation no inherent memory; no singular body's construction, starting point of the Cabocla's perspective, of its look on the forests' and the rtvers' world which are surrounding

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleWe are interested in problem-solving online written conversations. These conversations may be found on online channels such as forums, mailing lists or chat rooms. In the literature, human interactions are usually modelled in terms of dialogue acts. Dialogue acts are typically used to represent the discursive functions of utterances in dialogue. We want to use dialogue acts for the analysis of online written conversations. Well-defined methods and models allowing for the fine-grained analysis of these conversations would represent a solid framework to support different user-assistance and dialogue analysis systems. This would represent an important stake for the customer support industry, but could also be used to improve collaborative assistance platforms that are accessed daily by millions of users. However, current conversations analysis techniques were not developed with written online conversations in mind. It is necessary to adapt existing resources for these conversations. This effort is related to the field of research in computer-mediated conversations (CMC). Our goal is to build a dialogue act model for problem-solving online written conversations, and to offer tools for the automatic recognition of these acts

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleWhat does the notion of landscape imply ? What is its place in geography ? These questions lay the foundations for this research. The interest for landscape is currently boosted by a study of sight and representation; the aim is to study how this representation as an historical and social process builds up and to assess the interest of this conception from the angle of development in the intermediate moutain areas of the alps. The first part of this research is methodological and deals with the following questions: what are the theoritical and epistemological foundations ? What are the conditions of an analysis of the landscape assessed through discourses and images ? What are the links between landscape and territoriality ? The second part examines, with the case of the Vercors massif, how the conception of landscape as representation has been valided : written and visual documents testify that the massif has been discovered by the first tourists around the end of the nineteenth century, and show how the image of the vercors massif builds up since that time. The third part is a study on the scale of the village itself (Corrençon-en-Vercors) wich examines the permanent residents' discourses of their environnement: the analysis of the semi-guided interview is compared to the results of a survey based on questionnaires to the owners of second homes. The fourth part analyses on different scales (the regional, inter-regional, national and european scales) the discourses of the social partners, their ideologies and how the themes around landscape are used, particularly in local development projects

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleHere are studied five patterns of recommendations on how to teach essay-writing in french schools, over the last century. 1. The first pattern, which appeared about 1870-1880, recommended that pupils "reproduced" from memory a text which had been studied before. This pattern is characteristic of primary school teaching methods till about 1960, and is representative of a submission to the teacher's word and of a formal mode of knowledge. 2. The second pattern demanded faithful observation of reality, through a systematic use of the five senses. The description of things only rested on the observation of reality, but, at the same time, the pupils were to show that they had a personal vision of what they observed. This pattern, which appeared in treatrises written about 1900, has prevailed in secondary schools until today. 3. In the 1920's, a "heretical" school-master, Célestin Freinet, promoted what he called "free-text". This pattern is studied here from the texts written by Freinet, in the light of his political engagements and social views. 4. In 1970, a committee set up by the french Ministry of Education worked out a "plan to reform the teaching of french in elementary schools". This plan recommended a process conceived "dialectically" as an alternation of "freeing" and "structuring". An experiment was carried out in some schools, and the results were published in a review, reperes. 5. In 1974, a small group of secondary school teachers launched a review, pratiques, in which new activities of essay-writing were described. These activities were based upon recent linguistic theories of textual grammar and upon literary theories borrowed from the nouveau roman. The authors of pratiques soon became university professors and the review has become a sprinboard of what is called the didactics of french as mother tongue

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe standard discourse produced by official organisations is confronted with the unofficial or informal discourse of the social web. Empowering people to express themselves results in a new balance of authority, when it comes to knowledge and changes the way people learn. Social web discourse is available to each and everyone and its size is growing fast, which opens up new fields for both humanities and social sciences to investigate. The latter, however, are not equipped to engage with such complex and little-analysed data. The aim of this dissertation is to investigate how far social web discourse can help supplement official discourse. In it we set out a method to collect and analyse data that is in line with the characteristics of a digital environment, namely data size, anonymity, transience, structure. We focus on forums, where such discourse is built, and test our method on a specific social issue, ie the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Vietnam. This field of investigation encompasses several related questions that have to do with health, society, the evolution of morals, the mismatch between different kinds of discourse. Our study is also grounded in the analysis of a comparable French corpus dealing with the same topic, whose genre and discourse characteristics are equivalent to those of the Vietnamese one: this two-pronged research highlights the specific features of different socio-cultural environments

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis thesis studies the discourse of the European Union about the European Judicial Network between 1996 and 1999. Using discourse analysis and lexicometrics within the theoretical framework of argumentative semantics, it explores the meaning of words associated with the expression of « area of freedom, security and justice ». The research mainly aims at understanding how the discourse reappropriate universal values in order to construct, through argumentative processes, a European identity that embodies the European Judicial Network. After presenting the political context and the linguistic theories used in the analysis methods, the thesis examines the conditions of discourse production and its semantic particularities. It argues that the discourse constructs an identity based on the values (liberty, security and justice) conveyed by the three pillars of the European Judicial Network : institutions, organised crime and citizens. The thesis then puts forward the idea of a “discursive normalisation” that helps, through its linguistic forms, to legitimate the identity construction and its political issues. It also defines a process of “argumentative manipulation” resulting from this “discursive normalisation” implementing a very distinctive linguistic frame. According to those results, the research concludes that normalisation and manipulation generate circularity of the discourse, which is based on the conflict between two discursive orientations, on the one hand security and on the other hand democracy and the Rule of law

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleParticipatory integrated management gained international recognition in Europe with integrated coastal zone management (ICZM) approaches. The movement has spread beyond the European borders and includes the entire Mediterranean basin with the ICZM Protocol under the Barcelona Convention. This research raises the question on the application of standardized environmental management models in distinct geopolitical and socio-cultural contexts. The overall objective of this analysis is to improve the implementation and impact of conservation projects through an improved understanding of social, cultural and geographical dimensions. This research analyzes the complexity of socio-cultural perceptions and dynamics of environmental governance within and between sites (the Rhone delta, France and the Gediz delta, Turkey). Base lines were established for political and administrative contexts, ecological states and socio-cultural perspectives to analyze the similarities and differences. Ninety three qualitative and quantitative interviews were conducted using a purposive sampling methodology. The potential application of integrated participatory management was studied through the lenses of social networks, environmental discourses, and environmental values and perceptions with a geo-governance approach. Using each of these views, we demonstrated that participation is considered, sought and implemented in distinct ways in each site. These differences support the dominant theme of this work: environmental strategies must be adapted to suit site specific contexts. The results are a reminder that we should not overlook local contexts if we want to promote institutional effectiveness

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleNext to locke, ricardo sets up links, on the one hand, between value and labour, and of the other hand, between labour and nature. To catch why these links have been set up, it is necessary to consider locke's and ricardo's theories as answers to hobbes'and malthus" theories wich, in opposite ways (an artificial one in the first case, and a natural one in the second case) aim at limiting individual freedom. On the contrary, by connecting value to labour, locke as ricardo aim at claiming the almightiness of individual freedom, and underlining the historicity of the world this freedom may create. Nevertheless, in order not to sink into relativism, it is also necessary to specify this freedom, to find out the basis of this historicity. This is what the connection labour-nature is entrusted with. That is the reason why the ricardian theory is fondamentally a naturalistic theory. It has been noticed that sraffa disrupted the link established by ricardo between value and labour. But is has been less noticed first, that this eocnomy was fondamentally an anti-naturalistic economy, and then, that from an epistemological point of view, the sraffaian way of proceeding was carrying out, in the field of the economic theory, a real copernician revolution; a revolution considering the connections theory-practice and language-action with an outlook similar to wittgenstein's in his second philosophy

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe keen interest of Descartes constantly found in the concept of nature manifests itself in his frequent use of the term with all its semantic complexity. Nature means to him first of all the physics, on which he works particularly in the 1630s. Then, it is the essence and what makes possible our essential disposition by instituting us, and this use is frequently found in Meditationes. But the Cartesian concept of nature does not exhaust all its appearances in the uses of the explicit term, because it also appears implicitly in a dyadic link of the research of the young Descartes. On one hand, he recognizes from the beginning of his career the intrinsic existence of truths in our spirit, among which are found seeds of truths and naturae simplices as a culmination of this concept. On the other hand, the main purpose of the young philosopher is to elucidate natural faculties of ingenium with the epistemological method that can be drawn from it naturally. "Natural(-ly)" concerns not only the mechanism of knowledge, but also the question of what makes it natural, namely its foundations. The concept of nature refers thus, for Descartes until the Discourse on Method, less to the essence than to the natural structure to know the truths naturally existing in mind, and his physics is an applied science of these truths to the natural phenomena. This elucidation of the epistemic naturality is a prerequisite for his next research on the ontological naturality by the search of reasons of certainty, namely the research of nature in the sense of essence which will be carried out in Meditationes

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe assumption of this work is the following : it is possible to find, in Adam ferguson's Essay on the history of civil society, the deployment of a discursive formation, which we will call "anthropological discourse", that governs the field of the natural history of man at the classical age. In order to analyze this figure of knowledge, we will show how Ferguson, while claiming to base his moral and political project on the necessity and universality of the "laws of mind" that are supposed to govern men in society, has, on the contrary, based the truth of the historical facts on the discourse, a discourse that becomes the place, not of the confirmation of the laws of human nature inferred from observation, but of their realization. Thus, an archaelogical reading of the Essay makes it possible to pinpoint the moment when history as a description splits off from history as a narration, when there emerges a shared knowledge between historical and anthropological discourses

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis investigation, which perceives itself as an overview of the images elaborated by the French social discourse on Latin America, examines closely the historical moments when there are determinant discursive mutations. Therefore, from 1950 to 1961, a first manner of apprehending the Latin American other is identified. This period was described as a moment of transition during which the French discourse goes from a discursive frame which emphasizes on the theme of nature to a discursive frame which privileges the power relations between social agents. From 1962 to 1974, Latin America becomes for the French writers a geographical region upon which one pours off revolutionary aspirations. The axioms of third worldism, primary discursive formation enhanced by this period, run through the whole of the texts at various degrees. Also, this thesis aims to reveal the figures and spaces which emerge from this whole of contradictory representations. From 1975 to 1985, one witnesses the decomposition of the discursive formations and representations established during the two previous decades. Indeed, several discursive formations during these ten years question not only third worldism and its revolutionary impulses, but also the function of the intellectual.
On a more general basis, this study examines the history of ideas in France from 1950 to 1985. One of its implicit goals is to describe the rules which diversify, give coherence, integrate, exclude, and legitimate a "new" idea in the French social discourse.

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleIn this study, we try to understand the new function and specific conditions of Nietzsche’s philosophical discourse from the standpoint of his reform of culture. Nietzsche does not understand philosophy only as a theoretical activity, for its own task is to create new values that will take root and provide new forms of human life. Philosophy has now to take effective action on culture’s life, or the project of the transvaluation of all values may remain just a theoretical ideal. The whole problem is to determine the means of its action. How can philosophy have an effect? According to our hypothesis, this can be understood as the specific problem of Nietzsche’s discourse. This discourse is therefore of a great and new importance, as it seems to be the only specific instrument of the philosopher for creating new values. This must not only state theoretically the need for reform, the genealogy of Western culture and the new values that could overcome nihilism, but also stimulate their effective rooting. In so doing, Nietzsche represents a profound change in the History of philosophy, since the conditions of the philosophical discourse are no longer conceived in terms of theoretical validity, but rather as a passage from theory to practice. Thus, the Nietzschean project of transvaluation radically questions the traditional discourse of philosophers. Nietzsche asks philosophy an unsparing question: are theory and the need for truth the correct and most efficient way for reforming culture, for incorporating values and transforming human life?

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis study has as its object the official French discourse on immigration and integration during the Mitterrand presidency. Beginning with a general political and ideological analysis of the object "immigration integration", the study passes from more historical and theoretical considerations to a formal analysis of the pronouncements (speeches, interviews, press conferences, etc. ) of François Mitterrand on the question, as presented in various public fora during the period of 1981-1991, including an inventory of principal terms, an analysis of interdiscursive moments in the presidential discourse and the principal discursive sites and interlocutors involved. The analysis also investigates the modes of emergence of the term "integration" during this period, particularly the association between integration and illegal aliens. The third and final segment of the study seeks to understand the presidential discourse in symptomatic terms. The consensual dimension of this question is investigated in a study of the annual address to the nation given by the presidents of the fifth republic on New Year’s Eve. The symptomatic dimension of this question is studied in conjunction with the prevailing ideology surrounding communication, with the goal of analyzing the couple communication exclusion and its socio-political implications

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis thesis concerns the discourses about breast feeding in the Internet chat rooms. The aim is to focus on the discursive practices of the participants from the expert discourses viewpoint. The concerned discourses can be institutional ones, publishing ones, from baby care popularization popular press or from associations promoting breast feeding. We chose to approach the point with a conceptual construction borrowed to Antonio Negri and Michael Hardt : the autonomous alienation. This conceptual construction that can be defined as a process with the interaction of each society member through disciplinary apparatus that are - it is true -more diffuse and numerous than in the control society but real and active, as well as the individual conformation of each one to the prevailing social discourse, applied to breast feeding discourse allows to put into relieve the links between the expert discourses and the one of net surfers in chat rooms. The first part is dedicated not only to an exam of the works on breast feeding on the Internet but also to the elaboration of the theorical frame focused on the autonomous alienation concept. The second part is an analysis of the breast feeding discourses that we can find in publishing business, specialized newspapers, institutional publications and the publications of associations promoting breast feeding. The goal is to put into relieve the different themes that will be used as references for the discourse analysis of net surfers in the third part. This analysis is based on data from the word count analysis software called “Pistes” and also owing to the content analysis method. If we look at the themes and arguments of the main discourse about breast feeding that interprets the realities they are confronted to, according to the discursive elements that are given to them, net surfers represent here the autonomous alienation concept. But through some resistances that can be expressed against the “breast feeding doxa”, they also represent another conceptualization of Antonio Negri and Michael Hardt : the “multitude” one

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis thesis discusses the expression of pain in the discourse on “problematic” pregnancies (miscarriages, fœtal death, sudden infant death syndrome, in utero problems, disability, infertility, adoption, etc.). Our analysis is based on a collection of statements gathered from some 450 children’s gravestones, mainly from the 20th and 21st centuries in France, and a number of French publications from 1990 to 2013. These include the remembrance book of the ceremonies held in the Père Lachaise crematorium in Paris throughout 2010, the record books of three parents’ associations, some 20 works written by grieving parents, and extracts from discussion forums (on the Internet) on infertility and mourning a child. The study of this highly sensi-tive collection, which concerns mainly death and mourning a child, revealed numerous discursive strate-gies when analysed from several different perspectives: lexical, syntactic, stylistic and textual. By means of reported speech, metadiscourse taken from popular linguistics, language stereotypes, metaphors, pseudo-nymity, pre-formed discourse structures, truncations, and neology, the uttering agents studied manage to convey their suffering in a context replete with the doxa of acceptance, to give new meaning to words that could be wounding, to endure absence and to postpone the moment of separation. These elements under-line the active and creative role of the utterers, considered here as produsers, i.e. as being at once users and producers of linguistic forms. The results invalidate the stereotypical belief that the pain linked with the death of a child is indescribable, unutterable, and supports the hypothesis of the analgesic virtues of discourse

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis study is on the works of Andocide, a Greek orator of the 5th century BC. Its aim is to identify and analyse the means used by the speaker in order to have an effect on various audiences through persuasion. Only a historical study of the texts and their systematic exploration could make this examination possible. The On his Return and On Mysteries speeches make up an outstanding corpus :the same man pleads his own cause again after an interval of several years, and with the same goal : to obtain the right to live as a free citizen in his fatherland. With the first speech, the orator's attempt to persuade his listeners fails, whereas the On Mysteries is a success. Why were they given such a contrasting reception ? We applied the Aristotelian system to Andocide's first two speeches. Aristotle's system of Classification was used as a guide to help us understand how they had been composed

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe objective of the analysis is to try the claims in the scientificity of the speech contemporary constitutionnalist. As such, to take seriously these claims, it seemed relevant to reconsider the question of the control of constitutionality of the laws in the speech constitutionnalist himself, the introduction of this control having allowed exactly the constitution of a speech strictly scientific. In this frame, we so chose to privilege two moments of this speech, which we find downstream and upstream to this one : Downstream, when the constitutionnalist describes the case law of the Constitutional Council on the crisis of the law ; Upstream, when the constitutionnalist describes the conditions of appearance of a constitutional justice in France. We thus selected two edges of speech, which are each in the extremities of the constitutionalism, for their exemplary value. From this body of analysis, we wish to show that the doctrinal speech is built according to three modes : descriptive, narrative, argumentative. These three modes set up then singular rhetorics : respectively, one to show, one to persuade, one to let know, who allow exactly to reconsider the claims in the scientificity of the constitutionalism

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleIn our work, we have tried to deal with discourse organisation as it was conceived by arabic thought on language; particularly among the rhetoricians and the fundamentalists. This research could be placed within the framework of non systematic theories of language : pragmatics whose speech acts represent an important source as stated by gardine a. H. And the utterance theory in general. We have shown that the conception of the ancient arab scholars reflect the importance attached to the speaker and his intention. In other words, to the relation between the signs and their users. They consider discourse organisation phenomenon as a strategy followed by the speaker in order to persuade the listener. This reflection led them to the assumption that there is a semantic difference between what they called the first meaning; the prepositional meaning of the utterance, and a second meaning linked to its illocutionary function

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe specificity of scientific and technical texts is not only a large use of special terminologies nor is it a certain kind of international understanding in specialized fields. Starting from these observations, the study focuses on : 1 - a description of the characteristics of the french texts; 2 - a study of the translation of these texts by machine translation; 3 - a look at some applications of these studies. In the first part, a typology of the scientific and technical documents based on the situation of communication is presented, as well a typology based on internal criteria such the presence or not of definitions. Some particular items are examined : the verb etre, the verb faire, the verb mesurer and all other kind of expressions of measurement. These items represent fundamental notions in the type of texts studied. The expression of the author through the use of personal pronouns is also studied. In the second part of the work, the translation of scientific and technical texts, and specially their machine translation, is used as a tool to approach and analyze their specificities. The remaining errors after machine processing make it necessary to post-edit the raw translations. The typology of the errors and a reflexion on the notions of norm and of quality lead to a double practice of post-editing : a conventional one and a rapid one. The study of these post-editions is a part of a larger reflexion on contrastive stylistics dealing with specialized documents. The importance of the receiver of the message has to be stressed in the reflexion. Some applications of this work are finally given : as regards the teaching of a "language for special purpose" or the teaching of the translation of specialized texts this work should lead to renovating and adapting the teaching in order to get it closer to the present needs

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleA review of the historical and modem medical literature suggests multiple etiologies for lycanthropy, the delusion of being an animal, usually a wolf. This work purpose to show how the medical talk change the metamorphic myth. Togain an understanding of certain bizarre psychiatric symptoms it may be helpful to consider the effects of religions and culture. Despite the passage of time, the werewolf remain a powerful and evocative image. The influence of myth and legend has been filtered and observed with the passage of time but it is likely that the symptom of lycanthropy will continue to be seen as long as tales of the wolf-man frighten us. We have tempt a comparing with transsexualism, modem myth or delusion
