Within the broader field of designing for digital musical interactions, there is an aspiration for musical devices to display expressive and skilful qualities. While the former has received much more attention, skill has been implicit in much of the new instrument design discourse despite the clamour for virtuosity. In this thesis I examine the underlying process of skill development with a novel musical instrument by unpacking its constituting elements. For this, I conducted a long-term observational study in which purpose-built musical device was given to a group of performers to learn and develop their performance abilities. Data collection and analysis approaches were drawn from established qualitative research methods in order capture and account for the complexity of the phenomenon of skill. Data collection and analysis approaches were drawn from established qualitative research methods in order to identify important components contributing to the phenomenon of skill. Results of this study show that skill is constituted by several components that are perceptual-motor, cognitive, affective, motivational, and social in nature. In this manner, it was found that both individual contributions of personal trajectories and histories, as well as social interrelationships create an environment for the development of skill. Moreover, meanings and judgements of skill are negotiated within a community of practice. It was found that within this social structure, this negotiation process leads to the development, consolidation and adaptation of performance practices. These results indicate that human contributions are of great importance to the development of skill with new musical instruments, thus challenging the view of skill as an inherent property of the musical device.

Technology is becoming more deeply entwined with the spaces in which we live every day. As it does so, the line that divides that which is considered digital, and that which is physical is becoming blurred. As these two spaces merge, the elements that contribute to the way in which we understand to interact within them become harder to define. The work described within this thesis focuses on exploring this space using a formalised methodology that mirrors the design process over a number of iterative and exploratory “Research through Design” projects. This work highlights and discusses a number of key themes that reoccur throughout these projects, and then augments an established interaction design framework to incorporate these themes. Finally, reflections on this formalised design process, and the future of this hybrid space are discussed.

Pocket computers, called "smartphones," have become a part of everyday life over the past decade. Most people now routinely carry around with them millions of times more computing power than generated the Apollo mission to the Moon. They use it to access, process, and share information quickly and cheaply, in furtherance of the things people have long done: buying and selling, socializing, and so on, yet faster and across greater distances-characteristic of what we call "modernity." This has affected the ways in which people are working, and who is working, doing what, today. This thesis reports the results of a field study of one new kind of laborer who has been brought into work consequent to the smartphone: Uber drivers. The author conducted ethnographic fieldwork over one year in Boston, Massachusetts, and the surrounding area using ride-along sampling, participant observation, lengthy interviewing, and systematic coding in order to better understand a software-organized, person-to-person labor market in which the person who does the labor also brings the capital in the form of a vehicle used to provide transportation to other people. The first chapter of the thesis provides a typology of Uber drivers based on semi-random sampling through ride-alongs. The second chapter describes collective action that was undertaken by Uber drivers at Boston's Logan Airport in the form of a strike against the algorithm, which was an effort to induce the software to perceive an (artificial) driver shortage, leading to an increase in the price of fares. The third chapter offers a theory of the structure of Uber as an organization that mobilizes labor by using software to facilitate economic transactions that are triangulated between two users and the firm. The chapter also explains how this structure was particularly apt at mobilizing large numbers of people to carry out "regulatory breach," as they worked as Uber drivers doing the equivalent of taxi or livery work without complying with any of the applicable legal regulations. The final chapter explains how analysis of the field data, in combination with the new theoretical insights of the thesis, drives a conclusion suggested by the thesis title: that Uber has made a digital working class.

Employees who have adapted to a "working from home" environment, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, rapidly face a lack of awareness regarding cybersecurity and cybercrimes. It is well established that the rate of employees hacked has increased dramatically due to the pandemic. This study aims to determine what has more impact on digital vulnerability awareness of cybersecurity and cybercrime. Specifically, it investigates from the perspectives of training and education, digital competence, being a victim, and how protection motivation plays a role in policy following. In this context, digital vulnerability is defined as the risk that individuals might put themselves into unknowingly through the lack of security when working from home, which leads to having incriminating information publicly disclosed and exploited by third parties. Digital competence refers to the extent of an individual's information technology skills. To test the hypothesis that training and education lead to higher digital vulnerability awareness, a set of interviews was conducted with various employees working from home from different industries, age groups, and countries. Furthermore, an online survey was distributed among online communities on Discord, Facebook and Instagram. The survey was meant to prove the points made by the participants of the interviews. The results showed a slight effect in the opposite direction than hypothesised: digital vulnerability awareness was associated with digital competence over training and education. These results suggest that employees who have higher digital competence are more likely to understand their digital vulnerability awareness, making it easier to identify cyber threats. On this basis, the concept of training and educating is not enough to prevent cybercrimes. To better prevent cybercrime, employees must be willing to learn and understand the threats and risks.
Medarbetare som har anpassat sig till en "working from home" miljö på grund av COVID-19 pandemin möter snabbt en bristande medvetenhet inom cybersäkerhet och cyberbrott. Det är väl etablerat att antalet medarbetare som blivit hackade har  kat drastiskt till följd av pandemin. Denna studien försöker forma förståelse om vad som har större inverkan på medvetenhet av digitalsårbarhet om cybersäkerhet och cyberbrott. I detta sammanhang definieras digitalsårbarhet som risken till att individer kan sätta sig själv omedvetet i osäkerhet när de arbetar hemifrån, vilket leder till att inkriminerande information offentliggörs och utnyttjas av tredje part. Digital kompetens avses att vara en individs informationstekniska färdigheter. För att kunna testa hypotesen, att utbildning leder till högre medvetenhet inom digitalsårbarhet, genomfördes intervjuer med anställda som jobbade hemifrån med bakgrund från olika industrier, land och åldersgrupper. Dessutom genomfördes också en online enkätundersökning som tog plats bland sociala medier platformer så som Discord, Facebook och Instagram. Resultaten visade en motsatt riktning i förhållande till hypotesen där medvetenhet om digitalsårbarhet var förknippad med digital kompetens över utblidning. Resultaten visar att anställda som har högre digital kompetens är mer benägna att förstå dess medvetenhet om digitalsårbarhet i vilket gör det lättare för de att identifiera cyberhot. Utifrån detta tyder studien på att utbildning inte är tillräckligt för att förhindra cyberbrott. För att bättre förebygga cyberbrott måste anställda vara villiga att lära sig och vilja förstå hoten och riskerna.

The purpose of the study was to investigate the conditions of new employees during a digital onboarding process and the effects the digital format have on the results of the onboarding process. We performed a qualitative case study with semi-structured interviews. The study was conducted in an IT department in the public sector that worked consciously with a formal onboarding structure and whose work was mainly carried out remotely during COVID-19. We found that the organization succeeds well in communicating resources and information about the organization digitally and that the biggest challenges lay in communicating organizational culture, social connections and informal knowledge in distributed work. When new employees find it difficult to create interpersonal connectivity, they lose informal knowledge and social support that had been available for on-site work, which also leads to difficulties in understanding the organizational culture. Based on our results, we recommend increased work with social meeting points to enable interpersonal connectivity and informal information exchange, compilation of common systems, programs and abbreviations for new employees to more quickly understand the organization's language, increased work with pre-onboarding to use the important first time to strengthen employee experience and more opportunities for concrete practice together with, for example, a mentor or colleagues to more quickly acquire knowledge and get a clearer picture of what is expected in the new work role and informal knowledge in distributed work.

Living in the modern world is an energy-intensive activity. The residential sector accounts for almost a quarter of Sweden's total energy consumption and many buildings in Sweden are not as energy efficient as they could be. Estimations indicate that the energy consumption of the entire residential sector could be halved if improvements such as improved isolation and updated heating systems were implemented. About 65% of the total energy consumption in apartment buildings comes from heating and water heating. This makes it difficult to influence on an individual level since these systems are managed on a building level. In housing cooperatives which is common in Sweden, such changes take long time and the board managing the building usually lacks relevant competence. All Sweden's municipalities offer free and objective energy advisors to both individuals and companies. This paper examines, through interviews and a field study, how these energy advisors work towards housing cooperatives and if digital tools could in any way facilitate their working process. Four major areas of concern have been identified and a design concept that addresses these issues will be presented. The results indicate that digital tools could lead to more time and resources being put on housing cooperatives that have high potential to make energy savings and help to create longer relationships and offer the right kind of support at the right time.
Att leva i den moderna världen är en energiintensiv aktivitet. Vårt boende står för nära en fjärdedel av Sveriges totala energiförbrukning och många byggnader i Sverige är inte så energieffektiva som dom skulle kunna vara. Beräkningar visar att hela bostadssektorns energiförbrukning skulle kunna halveras om effektiviseringar i form av förbättrat klimatskal och uppdaterade värmesystem genomfördes. Värme och varmvatten står för runt 65% av den totala energiförbrukningen i flerbostadshus. Det gör det svårt att påverka på individnivå eftersom man behöver se på byggnaden som helhet. I Bostadsrättsföreningar går en sådan process långsamt och oftast saknas relevant kompetens för att genomföra de nödvändiga förändringarna. I Sveriges alla kommuner erbjuds kostnadsfri och objektiv klimat- och energirådgivning till både privatpersoner och företag. Denna uppsats undersöker, med hjälp av intervjuer och en fältstudie, hur dessa klimatrådgivare jobbar gentemot bostadsrättsföreningar samt om digitala verktyg på något sätt skulle kunna effektivisera processen. Fyra större övergripande problemområden identifieras och ett designkoncept som angriper dessa problem presenteras. Resultaten indikerar att digitala verktyg skulle leda till att mer tid och resurser läggs på bostadsrättsföreningar som verkligen har potential att göra energibesparingar samt hjälpa till att skapa längre relationer och erbjuda rätt typ av stöd vid rätt tidpunkt.

Syfte: Idag är intresset för digitalisering och effektivisering inom byggbranschen stort.Trots intresset har många aktörer inte helt övergått till digitalt arbetssätt, inte minstbesiktningsmän. Genom studien kan trösklarna för utebliven digitalisering analyseraspå individnivå. Då digitalt arbetssätt implementeras möts förändringen först av de erfarenheter och kompetenser som besiktningsmännen innehar. Vidare filtrerasarbetssättet genom innovationsteorins egenskaper och slutligen beslutar individernaifall förändringen accepteras eller avvisas. Syftet med studien var att öka förståelsenkring hur besiktningsmän upplever digitalt arbetssätt på individnivå med utgångspunktfrån olika arbetslivserfarenheter. Genom studien kunde även ekonomiska konsekvenseri samband med digitalt arbetssätt lyftas fram. Metod: Studien genomfördes med en kvalitativ inriktning. Inledningsvis genomfördesen litteraturstudie som låg till grund för undersökt problematik. Studiens kvalitativainriktning baserades på tolv intervjuer och två observationer. Intervjuernaresponderades av tolv besiktningsmän från WSP Sverige AB. Besiktningsmännen hadeolika arbetslivserfarenheter och arbetade på olika orter. De kvalitativa intervjuerna lågtill grund för att kunna besvara studiens tre frågeställningar på djupet. Resultat: Studiens resultat påvisar skillnader i användandet av digitalt arbetssätt medavseende på olika arbetslivserfarenheter, som ligger till grund för hur digitalt arbetssättmottags. Dock varierar skillnaderna mest mellan olika åldrar och kontor i Sverige. Föratt effektivisera besiktningsmäns arbetssätt måste digitaliseringen accepteras ochmottagandet måste förstås på individnivå. Med tydlig kursriktning, struktur ochutbildningsinsatser kan innovationen digitalt arbetssätt spridas. Genom insatser kringdigitaliseringen fördelar kan besiktningsmän som avvisat digitaliseringen kan kommaöver sina trösklar. Att arbeta med surfplattor har stark koppling till effektivarearbetsprocesser. Det är till förtagens fördel att vara digitaliserat för att vara attraktivaoch konkurrenskraftiga på marknaden.Studiens slutsatser landar i ett antal rekommendationer för att utveckla besiktningsmänsarbetssätt. Rekommendationerna omfattar utbildningsinsatser från interna och externaföreläsare, att låta mindre digitalt erfarna besiktningsmän följa med kollegor somarbetar helt digitalt samt att utveckla dagens affärsmodell för optimal ekonomisk vinstvid effektivare besiktningar. Konsekvenser: Digitalt arbetssätt bidrar till effektivare besiktningsprocesser som i sintur leder till snabbare återkoppling till kund. Effektiviseringen bidrar även till flerfrigjorda timmar. Det uppstår dock problematik att debitera per timme och sedan införaen innovation som frigör timmar. För att ta till vara på de frigjorda timmarna och skapastörre intäkter bör företaget utveckla dagens affärsmodell för besiktningar.
Purpose: Today, the interest in digitalizing and efficiency in the construction industryis increasing. Despite the interest, many actors have not completely switched to digitalworking methods, not least surveyors. Through the study, these thresholds forinadequate digitalization can be analyzed at an individual level. When implementingdigital work methods, the innovation first meets the experiences and competencies ofthe surveyors. Furthermore, the method is filtered through the characteristics ofinnovation theory and finally, individuals decide if the change is accepted or rejected.The aim of the study was to increase understanding of how surveyors experience digitalworking methods at an individual level based on different work experience. The studyalso highlighted the economic consequences in connection to digital working methods. Method: The study was conducted with a qualitative focus. Initially, a literature studywas conducted which was the base of the investigated issue. The qualitative focus onthe study based on twelve interviews surveyors from WSP Sverige AB and twoobservations. The surveyors had different work experiences and worked in differentlocations in Sweden. The qualitative interviews formed the basis for answering thestudy’s three study questions. Findings: The study’s findings show differences in the use of digital working methodswith regard to different work experience, which underlie the way in which digital workmethods are received. However, the differences vary most between ages and offices inSweden. In order to make the surveyors working methods more efficient, digitalizationmust be accepted and the reception must be understood on an individual level. Withdistinct course orientation, structure and educational efforts, the innovation digital workmethods can be spread. Working with tablets has a strong connection to more efficientwork process. It is for the benefit of being digitized to be more attractive andcompetitive in the market.The conclusions of the study results in a number of recommendations to develop thesurveyor’s working methods. The recommendations includes education about thedigitalization by internal and external lecturers, allowing less digitally experiencedsurveyors to follow colleagues who work in a completely digital wat and to developtoday’s business model for optimal financial gain through more efficient inspections. Implications: Digital working methods contributes to a more efficient workingprocesses for surveyors, which leads to a quicker and more distinct feedback to theirclients. The efficient work also contributes to increased released working hours.However, the released working hours are chargeable. Furthermore, it creates problemswhile charge per hours and introduce an innovation that releases chargeable hours. Thecompanies should develop their business model, to make use of these hours.

This thesis is an investigation of software development for children aged six to ten years old. This is a challenging area; despite the trend for children to be exposed to computer technology at an earlier age, they often struggle to utilize it effectively. Children are not merely miniature adults; they have their own needs which are often not met by traditional software. In particular, this thesis focuses on the task of music management: a task that children take much interest in but for which they are given few tools. We address this with the design of a new music management system: the Kid's Music Box. The development of Kid's Music Box is documented in four main parts: background research, requirements gathering, design and implementation, and evaluation. Background research identifies the strengths and weaknesses of conventional music organizers with respect to young users. Requirements gathering took the form of a focus group study, which aimed to overcome the distinct challenges of obtaining input from children. The design of Kid's Music Box builds on this work, by incorporating functionality, metaphors and design elements that suit the needs and capabilities of young children. Expert evaluations and formal evaluation from children users showed promising results, which concluded that Kid's Music Box is better than other organizers in terms of managing music for children.

The COVID-19 pandemic impacted many around the world, some more than others, having socioeconomic impacts around the globe. Due to its rapid spread many countries implemented restrictions, such as quarantines to uphold social distancing between its citizens. In addition, the coronavirus has not only affected people’s way of life but also many companies’ financial health worldwide. This pandemic’s side effects has resulted in increased digital transformation, causing many companies without the required infrastructure to rapidly implement mechanism and strategies to handle this type of work style. This studies aim is to give an insight in employee’s experiences and reactions to a rapid digital implementation, in a company without the infrastructure in place. With the help of an inductive approach and a multi level framework, four themes emerged from the interviews conducted ImplementationConsequences, Organizational Support, Expectations of Digital Implementation and Work-related Differences. The results showed that there is a discrepancy between the necessary factors for a successful implementation, highlighted in the model used and the respondent’s answers. Linked to this was the gender differences, a new factor arising from the data collected, emphasising the difficulties linked to teleworking but affecting a proactive use of digital tools, and hence lowering the work productivity. Even though there were differences, there were also parables showing that acceptance, attitude, and involvement in the implementation, among other factors are crucial for an openness towards digitalization. Finally, these factors and their relationship with digital implementation as well as the pandemic were explored trough a multi level framework.

Abstract The thesis aims to investigate the role of sustainability strategy in digital business in Bangladeshi and Pakistani SMEs. To attain our research goal, we made conceptual and theoretical framework, conducted telephonic interviews from digitized e-commerce SMEs working in Bangladesh and Pakistan service sector. Purpose: The purpose of the report is to explore the critical factors when implementing an integration of sustainability strategy in digital business. While doing this as well as dig deeper into a theory, we made analysis through our conceptual building and interviews. Methods: In this paper, a qualitative research method has been applied to demonstrate the experiences and activities of the SMEs as they come across, involve and survive by circumstances. A strong perception of phenomena was founded under this research. Before conducting telephone interviews, pilot tests had been taken to understand the significance and depth of the questions. Results: Based on the interviews it can be concluded that most of the respondents are considering sustainability strategy as competitive advantages and they are willing to utilize human, natural and financial resources in their digital business for maximizing benefit. Most of the respondents are using digital tools at their companies and concerning sustainability strategies to survive in the competing markets, but still the businesses who are working through sustainability strategy in their digital business is not adequate. Sustainability strategies are considered as core values of SMEs while doing digital business. Practical Implication: The findings ensure sustainability strategies are becoming core value in emerging markets like the mature markets. The findings conceptualized by the authors can be developed in future for the future studies in other emerging countries besides Bangladesh and Pakistan. As the results show that sustainability strategy in digital business can bring maximum benefit for the SMEs, the new entrepreneurs might be attracted towards implementing the sustainability strategy in their business.

Distansarbete är ett arbetssätt som har blivit ett vanligare inslag i arbetslivet för många arbetstagare. Det skapar en ny arbetsmiljö där två tidigare skilda miljöer ska samverka och interagera med varandra. Detta ställer krav på arbetstagare att de ska prestera och leverera efter arbetsgivarens mål och krav trots att arbetet utförs på distans. Coronapandemin har inneburit en annorlunda vardag för arbetstagare i både arbetslivet och privatlivet och de arbetstagare som har möjlighet ska utföra sitt arbete hemifrån. Den här studien syftar därför till att undersöka hur distansarbete upplevs påverka balansen mellan privatliv och arbetsliv samt hur det upplevs påverka gruppdynamiken i en arbetsgrupp som normalt sett arbetar i en kontorsmiljö. Genom tio kvalitativa semistrukturerade intervjuer med medarbetare som har arbetat hemifrån sedan mars 2020 har data samlats in. Resultatet visar att distansarbete som arbetssätt har många fördelar genom minskad stress i vardagen beroende på minskade transporttider och ökad flexibilitet i arbetet. Distansarbete skapar däremot utmaningar i kommunikationen med kollegor genom minskade informella och spontana samtal. Distansarbete kan därför sägas underlätta både privatlivet och arbetslivet för de arbetstagare som genom tydliga gränser och rutiner lyckas särskilja de två miljöerna och ha en god struktur i kommunikationen med sina kollegor.
Working remotely has become a more common feature in today’s work life for many employees. It creates a new work environment where employees work life interacts with daily life in a different way. Working remotely requires that employees deliver and produce at the same level as they did when they were working in an office environment. The corona pandemic has caused a different everyday life of many employees around the world. Employees who can, should work from home. This study aims to detect how working remotely is perceived to affect the work – life balance and how it is perceived to affect the group dynamics in a working group who normally is working in an office environment. Data was collected through ten qualitative semi structured interviews with employees who have been working from home since March 2020. The result shows that working remotely causes less perceived stress in both work life and private life compared to working in an office environment. It demands, however, that the employees have a structured way of working and the communication with colleagues will suffer from the missing spontaneous and informal conversations. However, working remotely can simplify work and private life for employees who can successfully separate between the two environments by having good structure and seamless communication with their colleagues.

Redovisningskonsultens framtid har, med tanke på digitaliseringen inom yrket, under de senaste åren debatterats både av organisationer och yrkesverksamma inom redovisningsbranschen. Tidigare forskningsstudier uppmärksammar digitala fenomen såsom big data, molntjänster, blockchain, artificiell intelligens, maskininlärning, data mining samt robotic process automation och utforskar hur dessa påverkar redovisningskonsulten. Något som oss veterligen inte är beforskat är vilka digitala verktyg som redovisningskonsulten använder för att hantera dessa digitala fenomen. Denna studie syftar till att, utifrån ovanstående digitala fenomen, undersöka vilka digitala verktyg som redovisningskonsulten använder i sin yrkesroll samt hur denna användning påverkar arbetssättet och kompetensbehovet. Studien har en kvalitativ ansats och har genomförts med hjälp av semistrukturerade intervjuer med sex olika redovisningskonsulter, som är fördelade på fyra olika revisions- och redovisningsbyråer. Resultatet av denna studie indikerar på att redovisningskonsulter använder sig av ett flertal olika digitala verktyg i sitt arbete för att hantera många av de ovanstående digitala fenomenen, men även potentiella kopplingar hur digitala fenomen kan hanteras uppmärksammas. Studien bidrar med en mer positiv inställning till hur arbetssättet förändras samt att det inte alls krävs lika stor kompetensutveckling som tidigare studier visat.
Due to the digitalization within the profession, the future of accounting consultants has been discussed from both organizations and professionals within the branch of accounting the last couple of years. Previous research studies illuminate digital phenomena such as big data, cloud, blockchain, artificial intelligence, machine learning, data mining and robotic process automation and investigate how they affect the accountant. We do not know any previous research studies about which digital tools that can be used by the accounting consultant to deal with the digital phenomena. This study aims to, based on the digital phenomena mentioned above, investigate which digital tools that accounting consultants use in their profession and how it affects their ways of working and competence needs. The study has a qualitative approach and is accomplished through semi-structured interviews with six accounting consultants, from four different auditing and accounting firms. The findings of the study indicate that accounting consultants use several various digital tools in their work to manage many of the digital phenomena mentioned above, but it also pays attention to potential connections of how digital phenomena could be managed. The study contributes a more positive attitude to how the ways of working changes and that the required competence development is not as big as previous research studies have shown.

This paper investigates advantages and disadvantages of working agile in an innovation process. Both agile and innovation are two words that can be seen as buzzwords. However, they are two words that in one way or another can make a company successful. The research question was tackled from three different angles; academic theory, expert interviews within the topic, and interviews with employees of a market research and marketing consultancy company that helps their clients with different kinds of innovation processes. The market research and marketing consultancy company in question was also where the practical part of the paper took place. The paper deals with theories from various academic articles that all center around agile, innovation or both. However, additional insights from books, blogs and websites are used. The method used includes semi-structured online interviews. The paper concludes with several advantages and disadvantages of agile working in an innovation project and also puts forward three recommendations: “Continue to recommend the agile way of working in innovation projects”, “Make sure the clients involve and prioritize their customers in their innovation process” and “The digital B2C service companies’ management should provide and prioritize its designated team a clear guideline”. The recommendations are meant for the company where the practical part took place. However, the recommendations are written and analysed to be valuable for digital B2C Service companies in general as well. This is since recommendations are based on academic theories and expert interviews, which both deal with the research question from a general point of view
Denna uppsats undersöker fördelar och nackdelar med att arbeta agilt i en innovationsprocess. Agilt och innovation är två ord som kan ses som modeord, men också två ord som på ett eller annat sätt kan göra ett företag framgångsrikt. Forskningsfrågan undersöktes från tre olika vinklar; akademisk teori, intervjuer med experter inom ämnet och intervjuer med ett marknadsundersökning- och marknadsföringskonsultföretag som hjälper sina kunder med olika slags innovationsprocesser. Det nämnda marknadsundersökning- och marknadsföringskonsultföretaget var dessutom samarbetspartner för uppsatsen och där den praktiska delen av uppsatsen tog plats. Teorin som uppsatsen bygger på är en majoritet av akademiska artiklar med agil, innovation eller en kombination som båda två som huvudämne. Teori-delen innehåller dessutom information från böcker, bloggar och webbplatser. Metoden som används i uppsatsens är intervjuer, semistrukturerade online-intervjuer. Uppsatsen resulterade i ett antal fördelar och nackdelar med att jobba agilt i innovationsprojekt, uppsatsen resulterar även i tre rekommendationer: ”Fortsätt att rekommendera det agila sättet att arbeta i innovationsprojekt”, ”Se till att klienterna involverar och prioriterar sina kunder i deras innovationsprocess” och ”Ledningen i de digitala B2C-tjänsteföretagen bör leda och prioritera det utsedda projektteamet med tydliga riktlinjer”. Rekommendationerna är avsedda för företaget där den praktiska delen ägde rum. Digital technologies are constantly changing our daily lives, including the way scholars work. As a result, also Classics is currently subject to constant change. Greek and Latin sources are becoming available in a digital format. The result is that Classical texts are searchable and can be provided with metadata and analyzed to find specific structures. An important keyword in this new scholarly environment is “networking”, because there is a great potential for Classical Philology to collaborate with the Digital Humanities in creating useful tools for textual work. During our workshop scholars who represent several academic disciplines and institutions gathered to talk about their projects. We invited Digital Humanists who have experience with specific issues in Classical Philology and who presented methods and outcomes of their research. In order to enable intensive and efficient work concerning various topics and projects, the workshop was aimed at philologists whose research interests focus on specific phenomena of ancient texts (e.g., similes or quotations). The challenge of extracting and annotating textual data like similes and text reuses poses the same type of practical philological problems to Classicists. Therefore, the workshop provided insight in two main ways: First, in an introductory theoretical section, DH experts presented keynote lectures on specific topics; second, the focus of the workshop was to discuss project ideas with DH experts to explore and explain possibilities for digital implementation, and ideally to offer a platform for potential cooperation. The focus was explicitly on working together to explore ideas and challenges, based also on concrete practical examples. As a result of the workshop, some of the participants agreed on publishing online their abstracts and slides in order to share them with the community of Classicists and Digital Humanists. The publication has been made possible thanks to the generous support of the Open Science Office of the Library of the University of Leipzig.

Distansarbete har berört många under Covid-19-pandemin. Sedan början av pandemin har företag och organisationer tvingats fortsätta sin verksamhet under nya former. De flesta arbetsplatser har på ett eller annat sätt fått ställa om helt eller delvis till distansarbete, från att tidigare ha utfört verksamheten i en kontorsmiljö. I denna studie undersöks denna omställning genom att identifiera hur arbetstagare upplever det förändrade arbetssättet utifrån olika perspektiv. Studien avgränsas till perspektiven om kommunikation och arbetsstyrning. Data samlades in från intervjuer av anställda på ett antal olika verksamheter.  Studiens resultat visar att då saker och ting fått ställas på sin spets har personers omställnings- och förändringsförmåga visat sig. Kommunikationssätt, kommmunikationsvägar och behovet av tydlighet har förändrats och en annan typ av sätt att planera har växt fram. Den hastiga övergången till distansarbete har medfört flera utmaningar varav vissa visat sig svåra att övervinna. Den har dock också medfört vissa vinster, i form av ökad frihet att planera, som arbetstagare tycks värdesätta starkt. Slutsatsen av studien är att omställningen kräver stora anpassningar av verksamheter men också att det kan finnas vissa vinster med att till viss del behålla arbetsformen även framöver.

Syftet med studien har varit att undersöka om en god arbetsgemenskap kan upprättas och bibehållas vid digitalt arbete i virtuella team. Studien bygger på svar från 104 respondenter som alla till viss del arbetar hemifrån digitalt och som arbetar i olika stora digitala arbetsteam. Studien har baserats på en webb-baserad enkät som mätinstrument och som utformats på basis av tidigare forskning kring gemenskap och effektivitet samt utifrån tre teorier. Dessa teorier har varit arbetsgemenskap (McMillan 1996), Psykosociala arbetsmiljöfaktorer (Rubenowitz 2004) samt Motivationsteori (Locke 1968;2013 & Hackman & Oldham 1976). Slutsatsen i studien visar på goda förutsättningar för en god psykosocial arbetsmiljö även i virtuella team.
The purpose with this study has been to enquire if a good working community can also exist in virtual team settings in teams working together outside the office. The study is based on 104 answers from respondents that all has experience from working digitally from outside the office. The study is based on a web-based survey as means of measurement and that has been developed based on theories within the field, such as work communities, psychological work factors, motivation theories (Rubenowitz 2004; Locke 1968;2013 & Hackman & Oldham 1976). The results show that also virtual teams have a great potential for a good psychological Environment.

Den ökande digitaliseringen i matematikklassrum på gymnasiet ställer allt högre krav på eleverna. Enligt de senaste bestämmelserna ska nationella prov inom några få år genomföras digitalt. Detta innebär att eleverna kommer att behöva skriva in sina lösningar på datorer. Detta arbete är uppdelat i två delar. Syftet med första delen är att undersöka om det förekommer en synlig påverkan på elevernas prestation i matematik på gymnasiet beroende på om de löser problem på papper eller på dator. Denna del skapas med hjälp av tidigare forskning i detta område och går ut på att eleverna genomför två prov där de använder sig av antingen papper eller datorer för att lösa problem. Syftet med andra delen är att ta fram rekommendationer som bör underlätta för lärare att introducera eleverna till att skriva matematik på datorer. För denna del i arbetet genomförs intervjuer med lärare och elever på en gymnasieskola. Resultat från prov, i första delen av arbetet, visar att eleverna presterar sämre i grupper där de inte är vana med att arbeta på datorer. Svar från intervjun i andra delen visar att det finns många aspekter som läraren behöver tänka på när eleverna ska börja arbeta med datorer i matematikundervisningen. Utifrån intervjuer formas rekommendationer för lärare som redovisas i detta arbete. Sammanfattningsvis visar detta arbete att eleverna behöver mer övning för att kunna prestera lika bra på dator som de skulle göra om de löser problem på papper. Eftersom studien genomfördes på en gymnasieskola behövs det mer forskning som undersöker om samma trend kan ses i andra gymnasieskolor.
The increasing digitalisation in mathematics classrooms places ever higher demands on students. According to the latest regulations, national tests must be carried out digitally in a few years. This means that students will need to enter their solutions on computers. This work is divided into two parts. The purpose of the first part is to investigate whether there is a visible impact on students' performance in mathematics in high school, depending on whether they solve problems on paper or on a computer. This part is created with the help of a literature study and involves the students completing two tests where they use either paper or computers to solve problems. The purpose of the second part is to produce recommendations that should make it easier for teachers to introduce students to writing mathematics on computers. For this part of the work, the interviews were conducted with teachers and students at a high school. The results from tests, in the first part of the work show that the students perform worse in groups where they are not used to working on computers. Answers from the interview in the second part show that there are many aspects that the teacher needs to keep in mind when students start working with computers in mathematics teaching. Based on interviews, recommendations are formed for teachers that are presented in this work. In summary, this work shows that students need more practice to be able to perform as well on a computer as they would if they solved problems on paper. Since the study was conducted at one high school, more research is needed that examines whether the same trend can be seen in other high schools.

Recent studies report about the need for and difficulties in measuring technical working skills among vocational high school students worldwide (Mabed & Köhler, 2018). Often the discussion is linked to the question of skills versus competencies, not only in the context of new digitized forms of measurement. Furthermore, a growing number of completely new or updated measurement procedures is about to reach the TVET sector in the context of the digitization of TEL (Köhler & Drummer, 2018; Hariyanto & Köhler, 2017). This study aimed at investigating the differences of the technical skills of vocational high school students majoring in construction drawings engineering in industrial working practices. As an empirical approach for their evaluation study authors used a discrepancy evaluation model. The population of this study consisted of 195 students in Yogyakarta and Sleman, Indonesia. A proportional random sampling was used to select 124 students from the population with both, the industrial work and the students becoming the sources of the information. The data analysis process was done using descriptive analysis and Wilcoxon matched pairs test analysis to describe and find the gap/discrepancy of students’ technical skills based on the predetermined standard. The results of the study show that the technical skills of vocational high school students in their industrial working practices are categorized as good with a low discrepancy based on the industrial assessment, and even better based on the students’ self-assessment. Yet there is a significant difference of technical skills among the vocational high school students in their industrial working practices based on the industrial work and students’ assessment with a significant value of 0.000 < 0,05.

This thesis explores the everyday experiences with unemployment and job searching practices in a so-called work club in Northern England. A work club is a place, often a community initiative, where jobseekers who are finding it difficult to look for work independently can go to for support and assistance. These initiatives are encouraged to be set up by volunteers by the UK Department for Work and Pensions and its Jobcentre Plus and are aimed at reducing unemployment levels by helping people apply for jobs. Specifically, the thesis focuses on contemporary job searching practices and asks what Banterby SC work club, the fictional name of the field work location, can tell us about how neoliberal ideologies influence both these job searching practices as well as the way we think about the relationship between employment and citizenship. Work clubs have only received scant academic attention, and this study shows how more in-depth explorations can provide us with some valuable insights. Specifically, because doing so helps us to look beyond policy formulations, framings and imperatives to the implications of neoliberal ideologies in peoples everyday lives. The study uses an iterative inductive ethnographic approach, focusing on one single site field work location, encompassing two hundred hours of field work, during which at least 96 jobseekers have visited the premises of the work club. The study s approach to doing ethnographic fieldwork was based on viewing participant observation as hanging out ; that is, more than merely being somewhere, but rather as engaging and being active in an informal fashion, something that the flexible and unstructured nature of the field work location suited very well. Through this ethnographic, in-depth exploration, then, I do not only explore the observations and findings as offered by some of the previous scholars exploring work clubs, but also seek to connect the findings to Bourdieu s theories of symbolic power/violence as a theoretical framework, which allows us to explore the wider implications of neoliberal governmentalities imposed on jobseekers that influence their everyday practices. This study extends not only our knowledge of the lived experiences of unemployment, but also provides a contemporary insight into work clubs, and how Banterby SC work club has proven to be a valuable site of knowledge about everyday experiences with neoliberal governmentalities toward unemployment and job searching practices. It also extends the application of a symbolic power/violence lens by bringing it together with Foucault s neoliberal governmentalities. Specifically, the study argues that neoliberal governmentalities influencing job searching and unemployment practices are a form of symbolic violence. This approach helps us to problematise job searching practices at work clubs in order to argue for increased critical attention on these sites. Furthermore, the study uncovers the extent to which a welfare system gearing towards a digital by default administration disadvantages many jobseekers who are finding it difficult to work with computers and navigate the internet. The study also addresses and explores to what extent compliance with symbolic power/violence is also shared by staff and volunteers of third sector organisations whose main goal it is to alleviate the burden of unemployment by assisting jobseekers to fulfil their job searching obligations as asked of them by the Department for Work and Pensions and the Jobcentre Plus. Finally, the study calls for more beneficiary-centred voluntary sector research, and proposes a new methodological model for exploring voluntary action and organizations, arguing for a more integrated analysis of the experiences of various actors.

Tillverkande SME företag differentierar sig gentemot konkurrenter genom att digitalisera sina processer. Behovet av digitala verktyg kan dock också anses vara en överlevandsfaktor ty kundernas krav blir allt högre desto mer automatiserade kundernas fabriker blir. Att övergå till en digitaliserad kvalitetsäkringsprocess för SME:er är inte enkelt. En del av problematiken kopplad till övergången mot en digitaliserad kvalitetssäkringsprocess är saknaden av IT kunskap och de begränsade medlen som SME bolag har. Syftet med arbetet är att analysera användandet av digitala mätverktyg som kan användas i kvalitetssäkringsprocessen hos tillverkande SME företag samt analysera hur denna implementation kan utföras på bästa möjliga sätt. För att nå detta syfte svarade arbetet på följande frågeställningar: 1) Vilka processer för kvalitetssäkring använder tillverkande SME företag i dagsläget? 2) Hur kan digitala verktyg implementeras för att assistera kvalitetsäkringsprocessen hos tillverkande SME företag? 3) Vilka utmaningar finns det vid implementation av digitala stödverktyg för kvalitetssäkring i tillverkande SME företag? Arbetet är baserat på teorier om olika kvalitetssäkringsprocesser. Exempel på dessa är Lean, TQM och Six Sigma. Metoden som användes var en fallstudie på företaget Marcus Komponenter AB i Järna utanför Södertälje. I fallstudien användes det digitala mätsystemet MeasurLink som tillhandahålls av Mitotoyo, för att digitalisera kvalitetssäkringsprocessen av de tillverkade produkterna. Datainsamlingen i arbetet har utförts med hjälp av tre olika kvalitativa datainsamlingsmetoder; dokumentinsamlingsmetodik, intervjuer och observationer. Resultatet av arbetet visar på att företaget bör följa en handlingsplan så att de kan förbereda sig för att kunna implementera ett digitalt mätsystem fullskaligt i hela produktionen. Resultatet är viktigt ty det visar på att företag bör ha uppnått en viss mognadsgrad för att kunna implementera digitala mätsystem. Sammanfattningsvis har slutsatsen dragits att en storskalig implementation av MeasurLink vid närvarande inte är möjlig. Däremot kan implementationen utföras i mindre skala vid en teststation. När företaget byggt upp ett standardiserat arbetssätt kring mätning och dataanalys med hjälp av MeasurLink kan en fullskalig implementation genomföras.
The quality of products manufactured by SME companies is of high importance for their competitiveness. Being able to produce tailor-made items of high quality and being able to deliver on time and according to specification are some of the most common requirements large companies place as customers. Manufacturing SME companies differentiate themselves from competitors by digitalizing their processes. However, the need for digital tools can also be considered as a survival factor, as the demands of customers become higher the more automated customers' factories become. Switching to a digitalized quality assurance process for SMEs is not easy. Part of the problems associated with the transition to a digitalized quality assurance process is the lack of IT knowledge and the limited resources that SME companies have. The purpose of this bachelor’s thesis is to analyze the use of digital measuring tools that can be used in the quality assurance process in manufacturing SME companies. As well as to analyze how this implementation can be carried out in the best possible way. To achieve this goal, this thesis answered the following research questions: 1) What quality assurance processes do SME manufacturing companies currently use? 2) How can digital tools be implemented to assist the quality assurance process of manufacturing SMEs? 3) What are the challenges in implementing digital quality assurance tools in manufacturing SMEs? The thesis is based on theories of different quality assurance processes. Examples of these are Lean, TQM and Six Sigma. The method used was a case study at the company Marcus Komponenter AB in Järna outside Södertälje. In the case study, the digital measurement system MeasurLink provided by Mitotoyo was used to digitalize the quality assurance process of the manufactured products. The data collection has been carried out using three different qualitative data collection methods; document collection, interviews and observations. The result of the thesis shows that the company should follow an action plan so that they can prepare in order to be able to implement a digital measurement system full-scale throughout the production. The result is important because it shows that companies should have achieved a certain degree of maturity in order to be able to implement digital measurement systems. In summary, the conclusion of the case study was that a large-scale implementation of MeasurLink is currently not possible. However, the implementation can be done in a smaller scale, at a test station. Once the company has built up a standardized method of measurement and data analysis using MeasurLink, a full-scale implementation can be performed.

There is a digital transformation that is currently occurring in today’s workplace to create a more agile, productive and smart workplace (Ulukan, 2020). The occurrence of the Covid-19 pandemic has accelerated this transformation as employees were forced to shift to working remotely (Schwarz et al., 2020). This shift has revealed a wide range of positive and negative effects on individuals and organizations. Thus, exploring how to integrate remote work properly is paramount for organizations when creating a smart workplace. Change Management includes models that can handle change by considering the two aspects of: the individual and the organizational (Prosci, 2020). Therefore, this thesis explores how organizations can use change management to address the demands arising with the integration of remote work by conducting a qualitative case study in collaboration with a company in the TMT (Technology, Media, Telecommunication) industry. The findings of this thesis demonstrate that a complete shift to remote work will not be sustainable in the long term due to the lack of social interactions which is considered to be essential according to the empirics provided in this thesis. Also, the findings show that organizations will need to provide more flexibility for varying between remote work and in-office work for the employees in the future. Moreover, managers will need to include workers more in the planning process and be more transparent towards their teams about the changes that will be required to create a smart workplace. Also, managers will need to listen to their teams' expectations on how they want to balance remote work and being at the office.
Det sker för närvarande en digital omvandling på dagens arbetsplatser som bidrar till att en mer agil, produktiv och smart arbetsplats skapas (Ulukan, 2020). Covid-19 pandemin har påskyndat denna omvandling eftersom anställda tvingades till att arbeta på distans (Schwarz et al., 2020). Denna förändring har uppmärksammat flera positiva och negativa effekter på individer och organisationer. Således är det viktigt för organisationer att utforska hur distansarbete kan integreras på rätt sätt när en smart arbetsplats skapas. Förändringsledning inkluderar modeller som kan hantera förändringar genom att beakta de två aspekterna: individen och organisationen (Prosci, 2020). Därför undersöker denna avhandling hur organisationer kan använda förändringshantering för att tillgodose de krav som uppstår vid integrering av distansarbete genom att genomföra en kvalitativ fallstudie i samarbete med ett företag inom TMT-branschen (teknik, media, telekommunikation). Resultaten av denna avhandling visar att en fullständig övergång till distansarbete inte kommer att vara hållbar på lång sikt, på grund av bristen på sociala interaktioner som anses vara väsentliga enligt empirin i denna avhandling. Resultaten visar också att organisationer kommer att behöva erbjuda mer flexibilitet för att variera mellan distansarbete och kontorsarbete för de anställda i framtiden. Dessutom kommer chefer att behöva inkludera anställda mer i planeringsprocessen och vara mer transparenta gentemot sina grupper om de förändringar som krävs för att skapa en smart arbetsplats. Dessutom kommer chefer att behöva lyssna på gruppens förväntningar på hur de vill balansera distansarbete och att vara på kontoret.

This work is based on recognition of the importance of the new technologies of communication and information, especially the computer, incorporated in school education as educational tool. In view of this most important aspect in teacher education, the research aimed to describe and analyze the professional development of three teachers of mathematics, from the moment they chose to include the technology in their teaching practice. The research aimed to understand the relationship of the teachers - who felt excluded digitally - with new technologies. To understand the new technologies, especially the computer, and work with them were required workshops we call "computer shops": For 7 months there were 12 encounters with specific objectives and characteristics for each, to include participants digitally. Data analysis was made from the meetings, all written and filmed - after authorization of the participants involved in the research project - with the use of technological tools, such as digital camera and MP3. After the digital inclusion of the teachers involved, trying to link the work and teaching educational tool - in our case, the computer. In this search, we met some mathematical programs, especially the Graphmatica, whose features and capabilities for the development of all types of functions, especially quadratic function, we studied. After the acquisition and development of knowledge, finally our research project with activities - reported and commented through comics - involving students in the 8th grade of elementary school do1 II and grade of high school
Este trabalho baseia-se no reconhecimento da importância de serem as novas tecnologias de comunicação e informação, em especial o computador, incorporadas na educação escolar como ferramenta educacional. Por considerar da maior importância este aspecto na formação de professores, a pesquisa teve por objetivo descrever e analisar o desenvolvimento profissional de três professoras de matemática, a partir do momento em que optaram por incluir a tecnologia informática em sua prática docente. A pesquisa procurou entender a relação das professoras que se sentiam excluídas digitalmente com as novas tecnologias. Para entender as novas tecnologias, em especial o computador, e trabalhar com elas foram necessárias oficinas que denominamos oficinas de informática : durante 7 meses houve 12 encontros com objetivos e características específicos para cada um, a fim de incluir as participantes digitalmente. A análise dos dados deu-se a partir dos encontros, todos gravados e filmados após autorização das participantes envolvidas no projeto de pesquisa com a utilização de ferramentas tecnológicas, como: câmera digital e MP3. Após a inclusão digital das professoras envolvidas, procuramos fazer a ligação entre o trabalho pedagógico e a ferramenta educacional no nosso caso, o computador . Nessa busca, conhecemos alguns programas matemáticos, em especial o Graphmatica, e estudamos as funcionalidades e potencialidades para o desenvolvimento de todos os tipos de funções, em especial função quadrática. Após a aquisição e o aprofundamento desse conhecimento, finalizamos nosso projeto de pesquisa com atividades registradas e comentadas através de história em quadrinhos envolvendo alunos da 8ª série do ensino fundamental II e do1º ano do ensino médio

During the Covid-19 pandemic, employees all over the world were forced to work from home, meaning that consultants no longer could work physically present with their clients. As the consultant-client relationship is incredibly important for management consulting firms, it is interesting to investigate how these relationships have been impacted by the change and what the implications are for collaboration and performance. A qualitative method was used, where the authors conducted interviews with management consultants at an international management consulting firm in Stockholm, Sweden. The study found that remote working with already existing clients was functioning well. However, collaboration with new relations proved to be more challenging, which was mainly perceived to depend on the difficulty to create a personal trust and connection remotely, since digital communication made it difficult to understand the client’s needs. The digital way of working also revealed challenges with creativity, invisibility, onboarding, knowledge development and sales. Thus, the study concluded that collaborations and relationships will benefit greatly from a physical meeting early on. Nevertheless, the most beneficial working method would be to continuously balance the advantages of both remote and office working.
Under Covid-19-pandemin tvingades anställda över hela världen att arbeta hemifrån, vilket innebar att konsulter inte längre kunde arbeta på plats hos sina kunder. Då kundrelationer är extremt viktiga för konsultföretag är det intressant att undersöka hur dessa relationer har påverkats av distansarbetet och vilka konsekvenser det har fört med sig för samarbetet och arbetskvalitet. För att undersöka detta användes en kvalitativ metod där författarna genomförde intervjuer med managementkonsulter på ett internationellt konsultföretag i Stockholm, Sverige. Studien visade att distansarbete med redan existerande kunder i allmänhet fungerade bra. Däremot visade sig samarbetet med nya kontakter vara mer utmanande. Detta ansågs främst bero på svårigheten att skapa ett personligt förtroende och en personlig relation på distans, då digital kommunikation försvårade möjligheterna att förstå sig på kunden och dess behov. Det digitala arbetssättet skapade också nya utmaningar vad gäller kreativitet, osynlighet, integrering av nyanställda, kunskapsutveckling samt försäljning. Slutligen, studien visade att samarbeten och relationer skulle främjas av att parterna träffas fysiskt i ett tidigt skede av projektet. Dock skulle den mest fördelaktiga arbetsmetoden vara att framöver balansera fördelarna av både distans- och kontorsarbete.

Tradicionalmente, la detección de faltas en máquinas eléctricas se basa en el uso de la Transformada Rápida de Fourier ya que la mayoría de las faltas pueden ser diagnosticadas con ella con seguridad si las máquinas operan en condiciones de régimen estacionario durante un intervalo de tiempo razonable. Sin embargo, para aplicaciones en las que las máquinas operan en condiciones de carga y velocidad fluctuantes (condiciones no estacionarias) como por ejemplo los aerogeneradores, el uso de la Transformada Rápida de Fourier debe ser reemplazado por otras técnicas. La presente tesis desarrolla una nueva metodología para el diagnóstico de máquinas de inducción de rotor de jaula y rotor bobinado operando en condiciones no estacionarias, basada en el análisis de las componentes de falta de las corrientes en el plano deslizamiento frecuencia. La técnica es aplicada al diagnóstico de asimetrías estatóricas, rotóricas y también para la falta de excentricidad mixta. El diagnóstico de las máquinas eléctricas en el dominio deslizamiento-frecuencia confiere un carácter universal a la metodología ya que puede diagnosticar máquinas eléctricas independientemente de sus características, del modo en el que la velocidad de la máquina varía y de su modo de funcionamiento (motor o generador). El desarrollo de la metodología conlleva las siguientes etapas: (i) Caracterización de las evoluciones de las componentes de falta de asimetría estatórica, rotórica y excentricidad mixta para las máquinas de inducción de rotores de jaula y bobinados en función de la velocidad (deslizamiento) y la frecuencia de alimentación de la red a la que está conectada la máquina. (ii) Debido a la importancia del procesado de la señal, se realiza una introducción a los conceptos básicos del procesado de señal antes de centrarse en las técnicas actuales de procesado de señal para el diagnóstico de máquinas eléctricas. (iii) La extracción de las componentes de falta se lleva a cabo a través de tres técnicas de filtrado diferentes: filtros basados en la Transformada Discreta Wavelet, en la Transformada Wavelet Packet y con una nueva técnica de filtrado propuesta en esta tesis, el Filtrado Espectral. Las dos primeras técnicas de filtrado extraen las componentes de falta en el dominio del tiempo mientras que la nueva técnica de filtrado realiza la extracción en el dominio de la frecuencia. (iv) La extracción de las componentes de falta, en algunos casos, conlleva el desplazamiento de la frecuencia de las componentes de falta. El desplazamiento de la frecuencia se realiza a través de dos técnicas: el Teorema del Desplazamiento de la Frecuencia y la Transformada Hilbert. (v) A diferencia de otras técnicas ya desarrolladas, la metodología propuesta no se basa exclusivamente en el cálculo de la energía de la componente de falta sino que también estudia la evolución de la frecuencia instantánea de ellas, calculándola a través de dos técnicas diferentes (la Transformada Hilbert y el operador Teager-Kaiser), frente al deslizamiento. La representación de la frecuencia instantánea frente al deslizamiento elimina la posibilidad de diagnósticos falsos positivos mejorando la precisión y la calidad del diagnóstico. Además, la representación de la frecuencia instantánea frente al deslizamiento permite realizar diagnósticos cualitativos que son rápidos y requieren bajos requisitos computacionales. (vi) Finalmente, debido a la importancia de la automatización de los procesos industriales y para evitar la posible divergencia presente en el diagnóstico cualitativo, tres parámetros objetivos de diagnóstico son desarrollados: el parámetro de la energía, el coeficiente de similitud y los parámetros de regresión. El parámetro de la energía cuantifica la severidad de la falta según su valor y es calculado en el dominio del tiempo y en el dominio de la frecuencia (consecuencia de la extracción de las componentes de falta en el dominio de la frecuencia). El coeficiente de similitud y los parámetros de regresión son parámetros objetivos que permiten descartar diagnósticos falsos positivos aumentando la robustez de la metodología propuesta. La metodología de diagnóstico propuesta se valida experimentalmente para las faltas de asimetría estatórica y rotórica y para el fallo de excentricidad mixta en máquinas de inducción de rotor de jaula y rotor bobinado alimentadas desde la red eléctrica y desde convertidores de frecuencia en condiciones no estacionarias estocásticas.

With evidence that arts engagement and nonlinear thinking style both utilize insight, intuition, and emotion in the decision making process, the literature has driven an investigation of the relationship between levels of arts engagement and thinking style preference. This nonexperimental correlational study (N = 101) explored (a) the prevalence of linear, nonlinear, or balanced linear/nonlinear thinking style of professionals working in museums. (b) Whether thinking style has a relationship with (i) age; (ii) sex; (iii) academic major; (iv) occupation; (v) levels of arts engagement. Two theoretical frameworks underpinned this study: (a) new literacies and (b) cognitive styles. A Web-based self-report survey instrument was used to investigate the relation among the variables of interest. Existing literature was used to provide a foundation for the study and guide the research. Correlational, means, and hierarchical regression analysis were used to test the hypothesized model and examine the hypotheses. The means analyses at the descriptive level revealed that females, those in the 60 or older age group, Humanities majors, and those who worked in education demonstrated more balanced linear/nonlinear thinking styles. The correlations results indicated that there was a statistically significant relationship between thinking style and sex and thinking styles and academic major. The hierarchical regression results suggested that after controlling for select demographic variables, only being a Humanities major uniquely predicted significant variance in thinking style. The lack of significant findings of a relationship between thinking style and age did not correspond to existing research that supports a correlation. Additionally, a significant relationship between thinking style and levels of arts engagement was not found during correlational and hierarchical regression analysis. A limitation of this research study was that the Web-based self-report survey version of the Linear/Nonlinear Thinking Style Profile (LNTSP) instrument did not transfer well to online use because the participants had some problem understanding how to score their answers properly. This issue could be handled readily and recommendations are made to revise the Web-base self-report version of the survey for future research use.

Under slutet av 2019 påträffades det en virustyp (COVID-19) i Kina som kommer att förändralivet för majoriteten av människor och de organisationer dem arbetar hos. Den globala katastrofen har gjort att många har blivit av med sitt arbete och den ekonomiska trygghetensom skapar ett frodande land. COVID-19 har varit förödande för majoriteten av sektorer i hela världen där verksamheterna har varit tvungna att antingen permittera eller hitta en lösning till distansarbete för sina anställda. Denna omställning har gjort att många organisationer och anställda har fått ändra sina arbetsvanor över natt, där flera för första gången antar distansarbete i stor utsträckning som det nya normala. Verksamheterna som har gjort det möjligt för deras medarbetare att arbeta på distans har även haft problemet med att få allt att fungera som vanligt. Dock har den tekniska framgången inom kommunikationsenheter och system gjort det möjligt för organisationer att kunna bedriva sin verksamhet online med samma precision som innan vilket har gett förutsättningarna för att fler kan arbeta på distans. Nu behövs aktuell forskning om faktorer som gör distansarbete hållbart. Mycket forskning har gjorts kring distansarbete och dess påverkan på arbetstillfredsställelse, där arbetstillfredsställelse setts som en central del i ett fungerande distansarbete. Dock har få studier sett på personlighetens effekt på arbetstillfredsställelse, ännu färre under kontexten aven pandemi. Studien undersöker relationen mellan arbetstillfredsställelse och personlighet vid distansarbete under en pandemi. En kvantitativ metod användes i form av en webbenkätstudie med ett snöbollsurval på (N=91) respondenter. Resultatet tyder på en signifikant positiv korrelation mellan extraversion och arbetstillfredsställelse vid distansarbete under enpandemi. Skillnader urskildes i resultatet från tidigare studier utförda innan pandemin vilket motiverar att tidigare kunskap behöver ses över under kontexten av en pandemi. Äve nobserverades en generellt hög arbetstillfredsställelse bland respondenterna som indikerar på en lyckad övergång från kontorsarbete till distansarbete. Resultaten från studien bidrar till existerande litteratur, ger praktiska implikationer i form av förslag till organisationer för hantering av anställda på distansarbete samt förslag på viktig framtida forskning utifrån resultaten.
In late 2019 a virus type (COVID-19) was found in China which would change the lives of most people and the organizations they work for. The global catastrophe has caused many to lose their jobs and the economic security that creates a thriving country. COVID-19 has been devastating to many sectors around the world where businesses have had to either lay off employees or find a way to operate teleworking. This change has meant that many organizations and employees have had to change their work habits overnight, with many for the first time adopting telework to a large extent as the new normal. The organizations that have made it possible for their employees to work remotely have also had the problem of making everything work as usual. However, the technical success in communication units and systems has made it possible for organizations to conduct their business online with the same precision as before which has made it viable for more people to work remotely. Up-to-date research is now needed on factors that make teleworking sustainable. Much research has been done on telework and its impact on job satisfaction, where job satisfaction is seen as a central part of functioning telework. However, few studies have looked at the effect of personality traits on job satisfaction and even fewer in the context of a pandemic. The study examines the relationship between job satisfaction and personality in teleworking during a pandemic. A quantitative method was used in the form of a web survey with a snowball sample of (N = 91) respondents. The results indicate a significant positive correlation between extraversion and job satisfaction during teleworking in a pandemic. Differences were distinguished in the results from previous studies conducted before the pandemic, which justifies that previous knowledge needs to be reviewed in the context of a pandemic. A generally high level of job satisfaction was also observed among the respondents, which indicates a successful transition from office work to telework. The results from the study contribute to existing literature, yield practical implications in the form of suggestions for organizations on how to handle employees that are teleworking and proposals for important future research based on the results.

Leur développement envahit peu à peu tous les espaces de vie, marquant plus particulièrement celui des entreprises, le monde du travail. La question du rapport entre les nouvelles technologies et le droit du travail n'est pas nouvelle, elle date de l'introduction de l'informatique dans la sphère sociale, notamment dans les relations collectives. Pour autant, l'examen de la doctrine et de la jurisprudence récentes témoigne largement de nouvelles problématiques juridiques quant à l'utilisation de moyens de communication sans limite de temps et d'espace. L’usage d’internet, et plus spécifiquement des réseaux sociaux dans l’entreprise déséquilibre les relations de travail en confrontant le pouvoir de l’employeur aux droits et libertés émergents et intimement liés aux nouvelles pratiques salariales. An emerging phenomenon, online social network and mobile apps usage has increased exponentially and is becoming widespread. Their exponential adoption offers a multitude of possibilities which is gradually invading living spaces, and in particular the professional world. The link between new technologies and employment law is not really new and dates from the arrival of IT (Information Technology) into the professional world, especially in collective relationships. However, recent doctrine and jurisprudence examinations surface new legal issues in regards to the use of new communication means that don’t have any time and space limits. Internet usage, and more precisely social network usage within companies, destabilises employment laws and leads to a confrontation between employer rights and the employees’ emerging rights and freedoms according to new practices. Companies’ relationship to social networks resurface questions about the renewal of industrial relationships inside a company that belongs to a democratic information-based society. Portfoliometodik är idag ett känt begrepp, likaså digital elevportfolio. Båda dessa begrepp, och en av de programvaror som främst är utvecklade för att vara en aktiv digital elevportfolio, har en central roll i den här studien. Portfolio Manager 2, som programmet i fråga heter, är utvecklat i Sverige av svenska pedagoger.

Studien har en kvantitativ ansats med enkäter som redskap. En köns- och specialpedagogisk betraktelsegrund fanns i studien, vilket också resulterade i nya pedagogiska rön.

Studien är utförd i 5 klasser på 2 olika svenska skolor i slöjd, där samtliga elever gick i åk 5.

Lärarenkäten var utformad så att den skulle kunna ge en bedömning av ”fenomenet” PM2 som helhet, då PM2 även innehåller verktyg av det mer administrativa slaget.

Studiens resultat bekräftar tidigare studier, dvs. att elevportfolio bidrar positivt till att stärka den pedagogiska lärandeprocessen. Ett nytt rön som framträder i studien, är att flickor i högre grad än pojkar i åk 5, inser portfoliometodikens betydelse för lärandeprocessen. Resultatet visar även att programvaran Portfolio Manager 2 är väl användaranpassat, både som redskap för digital elevportfolio och som ett läraradministrativt redskap.

Ämnet slöjd är inte ett primärt studieobjekt, men omskrivs kort i studien utifrån den ”överskottsinformation” enkäterna gav. Resultatet för slöjdämnet var positivt.

Portfolio methodology and digital portfolio for pupils are nowadays well known conceptions. These two things, just as one of the computer programmes developed in purpose to be an active digital portfolio for pupils, have an essential part of this study. Portfolio Manager 2, which is the name of the programme, is developed in Sweden, by Swedish pedagogues.

The study has a quantitative disposition, with questionnaires as instrument. A gender and special needs approach was part of the study, which resulted in new pedagogical experiences. The study was made at 2 different Swedish schools, in 5 classes in form 5. The subject was woodworks and textile craft. The teacher questionnaire was shaped in such a manner that it could provide a judgement of the “phenomena” PM2 as a unit, since PM2 also consists from tools of the more administrative kind.

The result of the study corroborates earlier studies, which was that the use of portfolio helps pupils in their learning process. The study also shows that girls in form 5, more than boys in the same age group, understand the connection between learning and portfolio methodology. Further more this examination points out that the software Portfolio Manager 2 is very user-friendly, both for pupils using digital portfolio as well as for teachers as an administrative tool.

The school subject woodworks and textile craft is not the primary object of the study, but is discussed in the text through the “excess information” from the questionnaires. The result regarding the school subject woodworks and textile craft was positive.

A sub-prova memória de dígitos, da Escala de Memória de Wechsler, com as suas duas series directa e inversa, tem sido frequentemente utilizada no estudo da memória de trabalho em indivíduos saudáveis e com defeito neurológico. Infelizmente, até hoje, poucos estudos exploraram a utilização da sub-pova memória de dígitos em indivíduos afásicos. O objectivo deste estudo consiste em medir os resultados da sub-prova memória de dígitos, em indivíduos com lesão no hemisfério esquerdo afásicos e comparar os resultados obtidos por estes nas séries de dígitos directos e dígitos inversos, com os resultados obtidos nas mesmas provas por indivíduos com lesão no hemisfério direito, não afásicos. Espera-se encontrar diferenças nas séries de dígitos que suportem que esta é uma tarefa mais difícil para a memória de trabalho dos afásicos. Um total de 20 indivíduos foram testados, na sub-prova memória de dígitos, a administração da prova foi feita de forma oral e os indivíduos repetiram as series apresentadas pelo avaliador. No que respeita aos resultados, ficou demonstrado que os afásicos têm uma menor capacidade de repetição das séries que os indivíduos do grupo de controlo. Conclui-se, portanto, que os resultados são consistentes com estudos anteriores sugerindo que os afásicos poderão ter a sua capacidade de memória de trabalho menos eficaz do que as restantes pessoas em geral. O que pode ser explicado pela diminuição da capacidade de atenção ou a existência de recursos, de memória, menos eficientes; ### Abstract: Memory Deficits in Aphasic Patients Working memory limitations, has been suggested to be an important source of linguistic processing deficits of aphasic. The digit span of the Wechsler Memory Scale, has often been used in the study of working memory in healthy subjects and in individuals with neurological defects. Unfortunately, to date, few studies have explored the use of digit span with aphasic individuals. The aim of this study is to measure the results of the digit span task in subjects with lesions in the left hemisphere and aphasic and compare the results obtained in the two series of the task, with the results obtained on the same tests for individuals with right hemisphere damage, not aphasic. We expect to find differences in the series of digits that support that this is a more difficult task for the working memory of aphasic individuals. A total of 20 subjects were tested in the digit span, the administration of the test was made orally and subjects repeated the series made by the evaluator. Concerning the results, it was shown that aphasic have a lower ability to repeat the series than the individuals in the control group. It is concluded, therefore, that the results are consistent with previous studies suggesting that aphasia may have its working memory capacity less effective than other people in general. What can be explained by decreased attentional capacity or the existence of less efficient memory resources.

Innovare, migliorare i sistemi di valutazione delle performance, digitalizzare i processi aziendali, creare contesti lavorativi all’insegna della collaborazione, della serenità e della fiducia sono gli input di una evoluzione organizzativa inevitabile e necessaria, soprattutto in un contesto di incertezza e di continuo mutamento come quello verificatosi dopo l’avvento della pandemia da Covid-19 che ha caratterizzato gran parte del 2020 e del 2021. L’adozione del lavoro agile, o Smart Working, è una parte importante di questa rivoluzione. Il seguente elaborato si pone come scopo quello di evidenziare i driver principali che caratterizzano questa innovativa modalità di lavoro flessibile, condividendo gli strumenti, i metodi e gli approcci che le imprese devono adottare per implementarla al meglio. A questo proposito, lo studio trova applicazione su una specifica realtà aziendale, ovvero Rekeep SPA: l’azienda si è trovata a dover implementare il lavoro agile in circostanze particolari, strutturando un programma di cambiamento organizzativo, tecnologico e culturale nel giro di pochi mesi. La suddetta tesi si propone di esaminare la condizione organizzativa di partenza, paragonando gli interventi attuati da Rekeep con quelli proposti dalla letteratura, e di presentare delle analisi critiche in merito. In questo quadro si inserisce un’ulteriore disamina, ovvero uno studio, basato su un contributo fattivo, relativo alla digitalizzazione e dematerializzazione del processo di Selezione e Assunzione del Personale in Rekeep, che ben si inserisce nel contesto di adozione della modalità di lavoro da remoto, come ampiamente trattato nell’elaborato. I risultati della suddetta disamina invitano a riflettere sull’opportunità di intraprendere un profondo processo di change management che garantisca l’allineamento fra le dimensioni di mindset delle risorse aziendali e della cultura organizzativa da una parte, e dell’organizzazione del lavoro dall’altra.

La Quarta rivoluzione industriale e l’evoluzione tecnologica in atto stanno innescando significativi cambiamenti a livello culturale, sociale ed economico. Le rapide trasformazioni del mondo del lavoro portano in luce l’esigenza di coinvolgere i principali soggetti responsabili di guidare il cambiamento organizzativo e professionale all’interno di un percorso di ricerca partecipata e collaborativa, capace di esplicitare e descrivere diversi modi di affrontare le esperienze connesse ai mutamenti in corso. All’interno di questo contesto, il lavoro di tesi intende contribuire a delineare la nuova cultura del lavoro che sta emergendo da alcune pratiche innovative, presenti all’interno del nuovo ecosistema educativo e formativo. La ricerca scientifica, iniziata nel settembre 2019 e conclusa nel settembre 2020, si articola in quattro domande: Come sta cambiando il contesto nel quale viviamo e lavoriamo? Come si sta trasformando la cultura del lavoro? Quali Driver ne facilitano l’apprendimento? Gli elementi della cultura del lavoro sono utili anche alla luce di una nuova trasformazione radicale e improvvisa? Le risposte intendono fornire alcuni spunti di riflessione e un primo orientamento pratico per tutti coloro i quali sono coinvolti in prima persona nella costruzione di nuove soluzioni per l’apprendimento, volte a trasferire valore ai cittadini e ai lavoratori di domani.
The Fourth Industrial Revolution and the technological evolution in place are originating significant changes in culture, society and economy. Rapid transformations in the world of work revealed the need of involving the main subjects in charge of driving both organizational and professional change toward an engaging and collaborative research path, able to make clear and describe different ways to face the experiences connected with the undergoing changes. Within this context, the thesis aims at contributing in outlining the new work culture emerging from some innovative practices, present in the new educational and training ecosystem. The scientific research, started in December 2019 and concluded in September 2020, is articulated in four questions: How is the context in which we live and work changing? How is the work culture undergoing transformations? Which Drivers do facilitate its understanding? Are the elements of the work culture useful also in the light of a new radical and unexpected transformation? The answers intend to provide some points for reflection and a first practical guidance for all those who are directly involved in the creation of new learning solutions, aimed at transferring value to citizens and workers of tomorrow.

This qualitative study develops a model of a virtual community for people with longterm, severe physical or mobility disabilities. The model also has implications for the wider community of people with disabilities. The study uses the Strauss and Corbin grounded theory methodology to inform the investigation from which a systematic theory has been developed. On the basis of this theory, the study proposes strategies for implementing the virtual community model. In-depth interviews were conducted with twelve Queenslanders with paraplegia, quadriplegia or other severe, long-term physical or mobility disabilities and with six health care professionals, service providers, information personnel and policy advisers involved in their well-being. The methodology used one interview question to determine their experiences and perceptions regarding virtual communities and the use of Information and Communications Technology (ICT). Each interview explored in detail the elements, enablers and barriers behind the usage of ICT and/or assistive technology. The personal responses and narratives of the people with disabilities who use the technology and their allied health care professionals were analysed and interpreted for meaning before the transcripts were returned to these participants for validation. Rich explanations were derived. Details of the various response categories of these interviews were analysed as part of the grounded theory, constant comparison methodology, and the relationship to the literature was considered. These de-constructed meanings were compared and contrasted with those in the current literature. The central theme to emerge from these narratives is that people with long-term disabilities regain a sense of control and independence in their lives through the use of ICT, as they move towards an on-line community. Other major themes that emerged from being on-line indicated that being on-line tended to break down people's isolation, while potentially changing the work paradigm (both vexed issues for people with disabilities). Information and communications technology and on-line communities offer ways to enhance every person's inclusion, participation and empowerment in our society. The primary outcome of the study is a theory regarding the character of virtual communities for people with long-term, severe mobility impairments that stakeholders may consider whenever such a virtual community is proposed. The theory is represented as a virtual community model. The model identifies the need for "a sense of control" as the foundational element of virtual communities for the disabled, and distinguishes the key domains in which disabled people participate in virtual communities. The barriers and enablers to their participation are specified within it. The model also provides a framework within which virtual communities can be facilitated. It melds six types of e-communities or sets of well-developed discrete categories (for example, themes, concepts) that the data from this study revealed: education-oriented, fantasy-oriented, information-oriented, interestoriented, relationship-oriented and transaction-oriented, depending on the type(s) of consumer need(s) to be met. The study concludes that although the technology itself provides strategies for independence and thus facilitates self-empowerment, it is also capable of being disempowering. Many interviewees referred to this aspect as a "double-edged sword". Empowerment and dis-empowerment are intersecting processes because of digital divide and information literacy issues and this "double-edged sword", which virtual reality presents for people with physical disabilities. Based on the new knowledge and the model as the outcomes of this study, a range of recommendations are discussed that have application in the community for persons with mobility impairments.

Working memory training improves performance on trained and untrained working memory tasks, but there is little consistent evidence that these gains benefit everyday tasks that rely on working memory. Evidence has shown that transcranial electrical stimulation (tES) may be an effective tool for enhancing cognitive training and promoting transfer. In the first study, participants completed Cogmed working memory training with either active or sham transcranial random noise stimulation (tRNS). Training was associated with substantial gains on the training activities and on transfer measures of working memory with common processing and storage demands to the training tasks. tRNS did not enhance gains on trained or untrained activities. The second study systematically investigated the boundary conditions to training transfer by testing whether gains following backward digit recall (BDR) training transferred within- and across-paradigm to untrained backward recall and n-back tasks with varying degrees of overlap with the training activity. A further aim was to test whether transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) enhanced training and transfer. Participants were allocated to one of three conditions: (i) BDR training with active tDCS, (ii) BDR training with sham tDCS, or (iii) visual search control training with sham tDCS. The results indicated that training transfer is constrained by paradigm, but not by stimuli domain or stimuli materials. There was no evidence that tDCS enhanced performance on the training or transfer tasks. The results of Study 1 and Study 2 provide no evidence that tES enhances the benefits of working memory training. The absence of transfer between backward recall training and n-back in Study 2 suggested the tasks might tap into distinct aspects of working memory. Consequently, the final study used a latent variable approach to explore the degree of overlap between different forms of backward recall and n-back tasks containing digits, letters, or spatial locations as stimuli. The best-fitting factor model included two distinct but related (r = .68) constructs corresponding to backward recall and n-back. Both categories of task were linked to a separate fluid reasoning construct, providing evidence that both are valid measures of higher-order complex cognition. Overall, the experiments in this thesis suggest that working memory tasks tap into separate processes and that training may be targeting and improving these distinct processes, explaining the absence of cross-paradigm transfer.

The purpose of the study was to explore how property management companies view of Building Information Modeling (BIM) as a working method in property management process, and to explore the companies efforts at BIM in terms of the level of detail on BIM object implementation in property management. The study includes both companies that have and do not have contributions in BIM. The exploration was aimed at two companies and their varying ways of working to inform the needs of BIM in property management. The purpose of the study was also to give a clear picture of how BIM tools should be defined in the management process. The work was used of qualitative methods to answer the questions first consisted of a literature review, interviews and case study. The case study was about BIM implementation in New Karolinska Solna. The result showed that the definition of BIM in property management companies is not clear yet. The companies have intended to use BIM, but they are not there yet, there should be a type of requirements list that works with planning and production and benefit from using BIM in the property management. According to respondents, most of the common reasons why BIM was not used were because the approach of the tool. There is no proper structure or common working method of how the tool would be applied. Many literature sources including respondents claimed that BIM seemed good and have a good potential to be the future work process. BIM leads to improved work environment, improved sustainability development, good marketing, increased quality in work, time savings, and improved project management. As a suggestion as to how BIM could be implemented, it can be described in a few steps, which is status analysis, identify the benefits of BIM, start implementing on a smaller scale, follow up continuously, improve and expand the work and last but not least Integrate information. The conclusions that can be drawn from the results and literature study were that BIM can improve the quality management of the properties, but it is important to find a reasonable level of BIM implementation as well as a suitable detail level of BIM-model.

This study is about voluntary productive activities in digital networks and on digital platforms that often are described as pleasur­able. The aim of the study is to relate the peer producers’ perceptions of their activities on a micro level in terms of play, game, work and labour, to their views on Wikipedia’s relation to capitalism on a macro level, to compare the identified ideological formations on both levels and how they relate to each other, and finally compare the identi­fied ideological formations with contemporary Marxist theory on cognitive capitalism. The intention is to perform a critical evaluation of the economic role of peer production in society.Qualitative and semi-structured interviews with eight Wikipedians active within the Swedish language version of Wikipedia con­stitute the empirical base of the study together with one public lecture by a Wikipedian on the encyclopaedia and a selection of pages in the encyclopaedia that are text analysed. The transcribed interviews have been analysed using a version of ideological analysis as it has been developed by the Gothenburg School. The views on the peer producing activities on the micro level has been analysed in a dialecti­cal way but is also grounded in a specific field model.Six ideological formations are identified in the empirical material. On the micro level: the peripheral, bottom-up- and top-down-formation, on the macro level: the Californian alikeness ideology, communism of capital and capitalism of communism. Communism of capital has two sides to it: one stresses the synergies and the other the conflicts between the two phenomena. The formations on the macro level conform broadly to contemporary Marxist theory, but there are important differ­ences as well. The study results in a hypothesis that the critical side of communism of capital and the peripheral and bottom-up-formation could help to further a more sustainable capitalism of communism, and counteract a deeper integra­tion of the top-down-formation with Californian alikeness ideology. The latter is the main risk of capitalist co-optation of the peer produc­tion that is underway as the manifestly dominant formations on the macro level are Californian alikeness ideology and communism of capital.

Considerando as dificuldades da prática pedagógica em modificar a realidade dessa escola pública da cidade de Araçatuba, Estado de São Paulo, delineou-se coletivamente o problema a fim de focar, essencialmente, a construção de uma escola de qualidade para todos, usando como estratégia o desenvolvimento de projeto de trabalho interdisciplinar e como recursos os meios digitais. Para o levantamento dos dados, optou-se pela observação assistemática e sistemática, pela aplicação de questionários, realização de entrevistas e observação participante, registrados por meio de anotações, fotografias e filmagens. O desenvolvimento da pesquisa deu-se de maio/2003 a janeiro/2004, pela qual os professores foram formados em serviço para o uso das Tecnologias de Informação e Comunicação (TIC), enquanto ferramentas potencializadoras de habilidades na construção de um projeto interdisciplinar. No decorrer da formação, as intervenções constituíram-se em reflexões semanais nas Horas de Trabalho Pedagógico Coletivo (HTPC), permeadas por acompanhamento em sala de aula e na Sala Ambiente de Informática (SAI). A análise dos dados e registros ateve-se, principalmente, à prática docente em relação ao uso das TIC, à aprendizagem dos conteúdos disciplinares por meio do desempenho acadêmico dos alunos e à modificação do espaço físico escolar.
Abstract: The essay presents a research-action, whose feature is essentially qualitative, in which the main goal is to investigate the role of the administrator in the teaching formation for the pedagogical, physical and social transformation of a school whose the social exclusion context and the high rate of violence was reflected in the school building destruction owing to vandalism, in the indiscipline and in the lack of students interest to learn. Considering the teaching pedagogical practice inefficient to modify the reality of the Araçatuba public schools, in Sao Paulo State, the problem was collectively delineated intending to focus, essentially, the construction of a quality school for all of us, having the working project development as a strategy, and the digital means as an appeal. For the data statistics, we opted for the systematic and non-systematic observation, for the questionnaire application, interview and the observation registered by notes, pictures and films. The research development occurred from May/2003 to January/2004, by which the teachers graduated while working in the use of the Comunication and Information Technology (CIT), used as tools in the skills improving in the construction of an interdisciplinary project. During the graduation, some interventions occurred in the weekly analysis during the collective pedagogical working hours (CPWH), assisted in the classroom and in the computer classroom (CC). The data and registry analysis was mainly related to the teaching practice in the relation to the use of the (CIT), the disciplinary contents learning through the student academic development and the modification of the school physical room. Among the results, it is worth to remark: the rising of a new "pedagogical carry out" through the use of the (CIT) and the practice of contributive exchanges, raising the leadership of different segments... La « tertiarisation » de l’économie et le développement des nouvelles technologies de l’information et de la communication contribuent à l’évolution des relations de travail. Plusieurs mécanismes créés par la pratique professionnelle et entérinés par la loi (conventions de forfait, télétravail, portage salarial) permettent d’établir un rapport de travail qui prend quelque distance avec le lien classique de subordination juridique, clef du salariat. Dans le même temps, est constaté un essor du travail indépendant auquel concourent des plateformes numériques. Paradoxalement, l’accroissement de l’autonomie du salarié s’accompagne d’une diminution de celle du travailleur indépendant. Le rapprochement entre ces deux modes d’organisation du travail impose de réduire la distance qui sépare les normes qui les gouvernent. Ainsi, la réduction de la sphère d’autorité de l’employeur doit aller de pair avec un allègement de ses obligations. Parallèlement, le bénéfice de certaines mesures à caractère protecteur jusqu’alors réservées aux salariés doit être étendu aux travailleurs indépendants compte tenu des évolutions que connaît leur situation. Le tout est porteur d’une évolution du droit des relations de travail qui pourrait finir par avoir l’allure d’une révolution
The economy’s “tertiarisation” and the development of new information and communication technologies are part of the evolution of the working relationships. Several schemes issued by professional practice and endorsed by the law (fixed annual working time, home office, “umbrella companies”) make it possible to set up a new working relationship that differs from the traditional link of legal subordination, key of the “salariat”. At the same time, there is an expansion of self-employment for which digital platforms are competing. Paradoxically, the expansion of the employee’s autonomy comes with a decline of the autonomy of the self-employed. The convergence between these two schemes of working organization imposes to narrow the gap between the rules governing them. Thus, the decrease of the employer’s sphere of authority must be linked with a lightering of its obligations. At the same time, the benefit of certain protective measures which was reserved to employees should be extended to the self-employed since their situation has evolved. As a whole, it leads to an evolution of the labor relationships which could finally look like a revolution

The purpose of this experimental study was to investigate mindfulness strategies and their influence on working memory. The potential role of music in facilitating mindfulness practice is explored. Various listening exercises were investigated along with their influence on working memory (i.e. attention control). Thirty-four individuals were randomly assigned to participate in one of four listening groups: 1) mindfulness with music, 2) mindfulness without music, 3) music only, and 4) silence. Thirty-four participants engaged in a computerized digit-span task before and after the listening exercise to assess pre- and post-test working memory performance. Thirty participants were included in data-analysis due to technical errors in data collection. Differences between listening exercises were explored and comparisons were made between mindfulness, non-mindfulness, music, and non-music based exercises. Two-tailed independent samples t-tests found no significant differences in working memory when comparing mindfulness versus non-mindfulness and music versus non-music based exercises. An Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) indicated no significant differences in working memory for any of the listening conditions. Results call for further examination of control variables and methodology to explore the role of music listening in mindfulness practice. Implications for further research and contributions to music therapy and music education are considered.
