The aim of this thesis is to explore thinking processes of pupils when solving problems of geometric manipulative environment Parquets. I elaborated this environment Parquets and stated characteristic tasks. I have also described, in what mental schemes of mathematical concepts solving tasks may contribute. I made use of pupil's life experiences with the game Ubongo in the presentation of the environment for them. The diploma thesis is presenting the ideas of the constructivist approach to teaching mathematics. Necessary relevant theoretical concepts are defined in the theoretical part. The experiment with third grade, who attended the Math's club is the basis of this diploma thesis. Video recordings were transcribed in the form of a written report and these were analyzed in the aim of diagnosing and describing phenomena that are related to discussions of pupils, their cooperation within the group and the development of mathematical experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the student, but also the personality and social competences. In the analysis I also pay attention to the role of the experimenter, who was also in the role of a teacher. In conclusion, I made recommendations that could improve the lesson.

The aim of the submitted diploma thesis is to complete a series of graded tasks from the manipulative environment of Parquet. Then apply these tasks to preschool and school children in the 1st year of elementary school. Not only observe how they cope with these activities, but also how they think, explain their actions, and how they communicate with each other. Observe myself, as a researcher, how do I work with children, how do I communicate with them and how do I submit them the tasks. Record my knowledge and learn from it. The theoretical part defines the individual stages for the preschool and pupils in terms of the development of psychology, they are constructive concepts of teaching mathematics with reference to the RVP ZV and RVP PV. Studied textbooks for the 1st and 2nd year of elementary school searched for activities from the environment of Parquet. Activities are selected that illustrate the typology of tasks. Title: Educational environment additive polygons and polyhedrons Summary: The main intention of the work is to introduce a new mathematical educational environment that would be especially attractive for pupils in the grades 6. -9., but also in the secondary schools, universities or primary schools The work consists of six parts. In the introduction are mentioned the reasons that led me to choose this topic. The second chapter describes the theoretical basis of the work. The third section describes in detail the environment of additive polygons, both its aspects - mathematical and educational one. Analogously, as it is in the third chapter, is processed the fourth chapter that is dedicated to the environment of additive polyhedrons. The fifth chapter is devoted to the linking of the environment of additive polygons and polyhedrons into the linear algebra. In conclusion are provided further opportunities of work with this environment.

This diploma thesis focuses on a didactic game and its usage within an educational process. The subject of the thesis is, on the basis of the study of the expert literature and expertly focused primary resources from various fields, to create and test a functional web computer game with didactic content. The theoretical part focuses on the very phenomenon of a game; from a historical and philosophical point of view as well as from the current interpretation of electronic games and a game in the context of didactic methods. In the empirical investigation, the thesis contains the whole development of the game, possibilities of its modification depending on users and the implementation of the didactic game in teaching. The thesis deals with origami as a learning environment in mathematics education. The two main aims of the thesis are to show the possibilities of using origami in various areas of mathematics teaching and learning, especially in synthetic geometry and calculations in geometry, and to suggest specific origami-based activities for secondary education. First, origami is introduced in its historical context and its geometrical axioms are described. Further, advantages and difficulties of using origami in mathematics education are discussed, with respect to the type and level of school. The fundamental part of the thesis consists of description and didactical analysis of tasks based on folding of an equilateral triangle and various polyhedra. Some of these tasks are adapted from other resources, some were designed by the author. Based on direct experience with employing origami-based tasks in different classrooms, methodological recommendations are added to the individual analyses, facilitating the practical usage of the thesis.

The diploma thesis is focused on history and development of this phenomenon and points to the possibilities of podcast use at primary schools. The goal of this thesis is to show not only the advantages and benefit of the podcast for pupils and the teacher, but also to highlight the possible problems during its use and introduction. The theoretical part is dealing with aspects and podcast use at schools and provides an overview of existing researches. The thesis deals with the question whether the application of modern technology can streamline the work of teachers, including school management and also whether it can become one of the criteria for raising the level of education and organization development. The thesis focuses on French linguistic devices in the communicative sphere of gastronomy. It is based on the analysis of written texts, in particular of recipes, menu cards and newspaper and magazine articles that contain dietary advice. The thesis is divided into two main parts. The first part dwells on the typological determination of texts; it is further divided into three sections. Firstly it deals with kitchen recipes, followed by texts containing nutritional advice and, further on, menu cards. Every section contains an analysis of the type of text in terms of communicative situation, while observing pragmatical conditions of the text formation focused on the target recipient and also devices used to express the communicative function. The following section concerns the discourse and its organization, i.e. the scrutiny of specific stylistic methods used in the texts. The general analysis is concluded by the examination of linguistic devices of the texts, observing both the morfosyntactical and the lexical plan. Finally, a number of authentic texts is treated in the same way, with a discussion of the pragmatical plan, discursive plan and linguistic devices.

The thesis on "Critical places at the first stage of primary school in the teaching of mathematics by the Hejný method" focuses on the problematic places of the Hejný method, which make it difficult for teachers and especially their pupils at the first stage of primary schools. In the theoretical part of the thesis, the constructivist and transient educational style teaching of mathematics using the Hejný method are characterized. The critical points in mathematics identified in the project of the Grant Agency of the Czech Republic are also introduced and conceived into a unified structure. The purpose of this diploma work is preparation attractive working sheets, which approximate to the pupils of the primary school amusing form one actual ecological problem in the empire of the herbage. Working sheets are divided into four parts. Every part contains at first the theoretic pieces of knowledge and then their exercises. The theory includes the topic of vegetable essential oils and their tasks in vegetable stress. This subject is processed from the view to knowledge of the pupils from primary scholls. Contribution of working sheets is experimentally checked-out practically. By two sets of pupils is given test to check the level knowledge {--} by those, who working sheets worked up and to the control group of the pupils, who didn´t work with working sheets. This master's thesis refers to the use of video as a teaching tool in the subject Didactics of Biology. It comprises two parts, one theoretical and another practical. The theoretical part charts the didactical and practical subjects taught at the Faculty of Education, Charles University in Prague, and deals with the use of video for the professional development of teachers. For the practical part, 8 lesson observation videos were recorded and placed on a newly created website (www.didaktikabiologievidea.cz). The observation videos were submitted to an analysis based on the 3A method and were used afterwards during the courses on Didactics of Biology. A questionnaire was carried out among the students of the teaching profession to evaluate the benefits of the videos for them. The questionnaire surveyed the motivation for studying Didactics of Biology, as well as the impact that these observation videos had on the performance of the teaching profession and the improvement of the teaching abilities. This diploma thesis, Didactic exploitation of the francophonie on the islands of the Indian Ocean, resulted from insufficient outcomes of a questionnaire focusing on the francophonie and francophone facts of the overseas territories located in the Indian Ocean. The diploma thesis consists of three main parts which are subsequently divided into subchapters. The first part explains the choice, focus and targets of the questionnaire and provides its evaluation as well. The theoretical part aims at clarifying and defining receptive and productive competence from a didactic viewpoint with regard to language level A2 and B1, given by CEFRL. The practical part follows with a description of created worksheets always containing exercises that aim firstly at receptive competence- reading, and then at productive competence- writing. It focuses on the work methods in French history books and their possible application within the Czech system while taking the pupils' perspective into consideration. The theoretical part introduces history instruction in France and work methods used in their textbooks. The focal point of the thesis is its practical part, a case study of two study units that were prepared based on French textbooks; "Townsmen, trade and slavery" and "Women and feminism in 19 th century". The dissertation deals with the effectiveness of the useof motivational elements like different types of crossword puzzles, riddles, rebuses and word plays etc. in teaching chemistry atlower secondary school. First, the database of motivational problems was created. The tasks (problems) are designed for practicing the curriculum of chemistry at lower secondary school in combination with one of the following subjects - mathematics, physics, biology or geography. Partia collection of problems that combine chemistry curriculum with geography or biology are available at http://is.muni.cz/do/rect/el/estud/pedf/cidlova/index.html. The remaining two collections are attached to this dissertation. These problems were subsequently used in an one and half year research focused on the impact of their use in teaching on the relationship of pupils to chemistry and on the results of their education in chemistry at lower secondary school. The research was initiated with a total of 886 pupils of the 3rd grade of lower secondary school. At the beginnig of the second semester these pupils completed an initial questionnaire focused on their relationship to chemistry. The diploma thesis deals with the topic of the mathematical environment Bus realized through mathematical tasks in textbooks Hejný et al. The issue is aimed at pupils of the fourth grade of primary school. The main point of the theoretical part is study of gradual gradation of tasks in environment Bus from 1st to 5th grade of primary school. It was found that the frequency of the tasks in the textbook for the fourth grade is impaired and on the basis has been prepared experiment that complement the tasks so that the frequency has been unimpaired. The practical part includes the preparation of an experiment in which custom- designed tasks were formulated. They were linked with fourth-year primary school curriculum. By performing two experiments was obtained 262 pupil's solutions of tasks, in which were recorded and analyzed pupil's mistakes. The main goal is to create two map applications in the ArcGIS and worksheets and the possibility of applying them into the Geaography education in primary schools. Not only observe how they cope with these activities, but also how they think, explain their actions, and how they communicate with each other. The present diploma thesis with the title 'The whole camp game as a means of gaining children knowledge and skills' focuses on the elaboration of games as a completion in summer camps for children. It deals mainly with educational components and the acquisition of social behaviour conveyed by these games. The thesis is split into a theoretical and an empirical part. The theoretical part is focused on the theory of whole camp games. It also deals with motivation, which is important for the ability to remember a fact. The games are presented as an inseparable part of the summer camps, last but not least affecting the pattern of learning. The empirical part is divided into several chapters. The first chapter contains a description of whole camp game under the motto of 'time machine', which were realized in a summer camp in 2010, organized by the STROM P.B.m. association. The next chapter deals with the didactical testing and elaboration. This test has been given to the children on three occasions - during the summer camp, one month later, and six months later. By analyzing electronical tools, online applications and tutorials from Czech Republic and abroad I have come to the conclusion that it is necessary to create a flexible educational instrument which includes digitized chemical experiments for general chemistry. Following the analysis of present databases, CD ROMs and VHS containing pictured experiments I found out that a lot of spectacular experiments with pyrotechnical components have not been shooted at all or not in the range of "greater" chemicals quantity. The chosen programming language, in which FMDP was written, proved to be most efficient. This choice emerged from a discussion with programmers and was motivated in particular by larger possibilities of C# than HTML have. In addition to it the modification of the FMDP content is easy. The teachers with minimum of the PC-literacy can make any changes in FMDP, alternate any of its parts and adapt them for various internal and external conditions of education. The method of imaging includes both artistic and documentary elements. In this work the development of visual depiction of food and meals with a focus on photography is mapped. The findings from the literary part of the thesis were subsequently used in the creation of the author's book and in the realisation of the didactic project. The author's book is a method of blending the tradition of art culture with the means of contemporary visual communication. It consists of a set of photographs and is not only a visual record of the menu, but also illustrates the process of preparing selected dishes from raw materials, through self-preparation, to mapping the kinds and the amount of waste generated by food preparation. The diploma thesis is foollow up on nutritional supplements in sport, both allowed and forbidden, therefore doping. It focuses on teaching at secondary (hight) schools and incorporating the issue of sports supplements into lessons. The theoretical part includes an analysis of the RVP for grammar schools and sports grammar schools, a literature search on the topic of support substances i sport and the theory of didactic research. The practical part contains an evaluation of the questionnaire survey, which examines pupils' knowledge about nutritional supplements focused on sport, and evaluation of the evaluation questionnaire, which is served as a feedback reflection in verifying didactic materials. This master thesis deals with conceptual knowledge of pupils of the primary school about the ecology of the freshwater ecosystem. Pupils get familiar mainly with typical representatives of organisms which are representing the ecosystem, however, understanding the ecology of the ecosystem demands having a deeper insight into many functions and relations characteristic for the specific ecosystem. The author emphasises the importance of the lessons being carried out through educational programmes in nature. A specific educational programme was designed and realised. Then, the knowledge of pupils of the 1st and 2nd grade was tested and compared on the basis who took part in the programme and who did not. In some tasks, a positive impact of the educational programme was achieved. In other tasks, the same or slightly better results were shown by pupils, who did not participate in this specific programme. In the thesis there are discussed factors, which influence the success rate of the educational programme and pupils' understanding of ecologic relations.

The topic of this work is reading workshops as a means of learning German as a foreign language. The aim of the thesis is to find out whether, and if so, what is the organizational and methodically inventive form of didactic potential in teaching German as a foreign language. The work is divided into theoretical and practical part. It focuses on the literary text and its role in teaching, as well as the representation of literature in the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) and in the Supplement to the CEFR. Attention is paid to reading skills with an emphasis on literary reading, which is crucial for working with literary texts. The concept of reading workshops represents a bridge between the theoretical and practical part and brings four different adaptations of literary texts targeting literary, communicative, intercultural, and linguistic competence. The empirical survey contained in the fourth chapter presents the results of a questionnaire survey, which was conducted among German language teachers at the elementary faculty schools of PedF UK. The research was based on the confirmed hypothesis that teachers rarely work with literary texts, even though they consider working with literary texts to be beneficial. This diploma thesis is focused on the issue of using songs in German language teaching. Its aim is to contribute to tackling the issue of using songs in lessons of the German language as a second foreign language. The theoretical part introduces the position of the German language in the current Czech educational system, presents crucial methodical concepts of German teaching relevant to the chosen topic and also describes some difficulties with using music while teaching a foreign language in terms of pedagogy and psychology. The subject matter of the practical part is a research among students and teachers of lower-secondary and secondary schools. The aim of the research is to ascertain and describe the current use of songs in German lessons and detect when and why the songs are used for teaching German as a foreign language. On the basis of the results collected by a questionnaire survey and semi-structured dialogues with experts, a collection of nine worksheets and methodic sheets for working with songs during German lessons has been created. The sheets present diverse activities and methods suitable for A1, A2 and B1 levels according to the CEFR.

The submitted doctoral dissertation offers a complex analysis of the contemporary Czech melodrama and places it into a European and indispensable local context. In this diploma thesis I look at the Analysis of selected textbook health education through the eyes of teachers who use it in their lessons. The theoretical part of this thesis serves as an introduction to the complex topic of textbooks and lays out the criteria according to which a textbook is chosen. In the practical part I carry out a didactic analysis of the textbook and I present a summary of experience of teachers who have worked with it. The practical part shows that teachers's experience does not differ significantly from the findings of the didactic analysis. This thesis didactically maps and describes new didactical mathematic environment and the possibilities of its application in teaching in the first grade of primary education. In this thesis I describe the process of an experiment conducted with pupils of the 1st - 5th year of elementary school, with whom I have tried and verified a series of new environment exercises. Based on the reflection of this experiment, and the analysis of pupils' solutions, I formulated a final version of these exercises. I led the process of the whole experiment in line with the constructivist educational style. In the theory part, I am mentioning the important terms of mathematics and its didactics, that are necessary for the purposes of this thesis, and that I refer to the relevant professional literature. This thesis also contains the analysis of chosen textbook collections that are related to its topic. The last part of this thesis is the final and complete series of exercises useful for teaching mathematics in the 1st grade of elementary school, especially if the teacher aims to purposefully develop the pupils' understanding of the terminology and relations from the mathematical areas of analytic geometry, functions and sequences.

It is possible to label small-class schools as alternative schools where unconventional teaching methods are used. Presen work deals with Maria Montessori pedagogy and its application in religious education. The goal of the study is to introduce the basic principles of Montessori-pedagogy and point out the use of those principles within the frame of religious education. The theoretical part is concerned with biography of Maria Montessori, her work, antropological background and the basic principles of Montessori pedagogy. Further, it discusses the issues of her work that are either implicitelly or explicitelly related to religious education. Beside this, the practical part of the thesis introduces the work of Italian catechist Sofia Cavaletti, who was inspired by Montessori pedagogy. In 60´s of the last century, Sofia Cavaletti managed a catechetical centre in Rome. She established atriums in several parishes in Rome, in which the methods of Montessori pedagogy were utilized. Subsequently, Godly Play method is mentioned in present work. The method was developed by Jeron W. Berryman, an american theologist and priest of episkopal church, who was inspired by the work of Maria Montessori as well as by the work of Sofia Cavaletti.

This diploma thesis, Didactic exploitation of the francophonie in the Oceania, resulted from insufficient outcomes of a questionnaire focusing on the francophonie and francophone facts of the overseas territories located in the Pacific Ocean. The diploma thesis consists of three main parts which are subsequently divided into subchapters. The first part explains the choice, focus and targets of the questionnaire and provides its evaluation as well. The theoretical part aims at clarifying and defining receptive and productive competence from a didactic viewpoint with regard to language level A2 and B1, given by CEFRL. The practical part follows with a description of created worksheets always containing exercises that aim firstly at receptive competence - listening, and then at productive competence - speaking. Texts together with exercises focus mainly on culture and tradition, then on language situation and language oddities of the following French overseas territories in the Pacific Ocean: French Polynésia, Wallis and Futuna, Vanuatu and New Caledonia. Annotation:
The aim of this thesis is to analyze, from general didactic perspective, specifics of French language teaching of adolescent as well as adult students at the beginner level. More specifically, socalled FLE teaching within informal educational environment of a particular language school in Prague is examined. In order to do so, this thesis is divided into two sections. In the first theoretical section, the compilation method is employed, resulting in detailed analysis of selected didactic themes related to the defined aim of the thesis. The second, supporting section consists of specially compiled survey analysis, which focuses on themes covered at the first theoretical part. It is worth noting that perspectives of students are captured as a result of the survey analysis. The major contribution of this thesis is a comprehensive theoretical and practical view on not yet separately compiled methodology of teaching of French language of beginning, predominantly adult students, in the context of Czech informal educational environment.
