The project deals with the development of physical activity within children from 4 to 9 years of age. Project has its centres throughout the Czech Republic. The research should show how the project "Children at the start" tried to respond to the situation that occurred in the period from February 2020 to February 2021. The questionnaire survey was conducted with parents and legal representatives of children involved in the project, as well as heads of centres, head coaches and assistant coaches. These two different groups provided a double view of the issue. The Diploma thesis came to the results that the project is very variable, and some centres are able to run their training units under strict measures. This diploma thesis deals with the development of the rhythmic feeling of children aged 5-7 years in connection with the music element of The Good Start Method. The aim of the diploma thesis is to present the issue of connecting psychology and music for the use in pedagogy, with emphasis on The Good Start Method. Using my own research, i evaluate its theoretical basis, practical use and point out its problematic parts and try to find a possible improvement of this method. The theoretical part deals with the description of the use of the rhythmic element of music in accordance with the development of children's motor skills and the related development of their rhythmic feelings. It also focuses on a specific methodological approach to the development of musical abilities and related motor and graphomotor skills. Rodina je unikátní a nenahraditelnou institucí. Výchova dítěte během prvních let života je jen stěží možná mimo rodinu, dítě nemůže získat základní pocit jistoty bez důvěry k blízkým lidem. Rodina prochází vývojovými stadii a přechody z jednoho stadia do druhého jsou náročnými událostmi, zejména jde-li o narození prvního dí- těte. Ne každá rodina je schopna se s úskalím rodičovství a jinými potížemi vyrovnat sama a nastává moment, kdy si musí problém přiznat a rozhodnout se, kam se obrátit o pomoc a radu. V posledních letech se v České republice významně rozšířily služby pracovišť specializovaných na práci s rodinou, poskytované odborníky na rodinnou problematiku - např. poradenské, krizové, terapeutické. Osobně vnímám velmi silně nutnost odklonu od služeb poskytovaných v institucích a zavádění, upřednostňování služeb, které by rodiny využívaly ve svém domácím prostředí. V oblasti podpory rodin je stále řada služeb, které v českém prostředí zatím úplně chybějí nebo teprve začínají. : Title: Motor performance of secondary school children Objectives: Assess the level of motor performance of secondary school children. Methods: Using motor tests, I have examined the motor performance of secondary school children in the comon class and in the class with extended physical education. The testing took place in the gym of the secondary school and at the athletic stadium as part of physical education lessons. For the results analyses I have used the following characteristics: arithmetic mean, maximum, minimum, standard deviation, variance and variation range. I compared the measured results with UNIFITTEST 6 - 60 scales. I compared the results of pupils from the common class with the measurements Pávek (1977), Máchová (2009) and Zapletalová (2011). I compared the results of pupils from the class with extended physical education classes besides scales UNIFITTEST 6 - 60 with measurements of Kraus (2007), Máchová (2009) and Kůta (2016) Results: The thesis has confirmed the hypothesis that pupils from the class with extended physical education have better results in all tests than the pupils from the comon class. Title: Perception of Body schema in children Objectives: The aim of the thesis paper on the Perception of Body schema in children is to study the influence of sex and exercise on the subjective perception of the body in older school age. Furthermore, the influence of sex and regular exercise on the relationship to one's body is also observed. Foundation: The understanding of one's body schema is an important factor of overall wellness and is vital in correctly performing physical activities, or, when distorted, for the timely discernment of possible issues. This makes the insight into adolescent's understanding of body schema important not only with regards to injury or health issue prevention, but also with regards to the massive importance of physical activity in maintaining a person's physical and mental wellbeing. Methods: This paper is a quantitative survey method. A set of 40 respondents, 20 male and 20 female (ages 13-17) were given CMAS, BAT, personal questionnaires and a BSE measurement. This thesis focuses on the analysis of physical activity of older school-age childen. The work is divided into theoretical and research part. The theoretical part is devoted to child obesity and feature an older school-age period in terms of psychological, physical as well as locomotor development. The research part addresses the processing of questionnaires and subsequent comparison of physical activity in older school-age children in selected primary schools. The aim of public opinion survey is to compare physical activity and their relationship to them among girls and boys at rural and urban schools. It was found that 80% of children are involved in some sports activity in their free time. The boys are engaged in physical activities more than girls and also enjoy it more than them. Most children attend after-school sports club more than sports activities offered at school. Another finding was that children spend every day at the computer the same amount of time regardless whether they are from the city or village. An interesting finding was that BMI calculation shown that large number of children falls within the boundaries of underweight, its 26%. Normal weight is 62.9% of children and overweight is 10%. Only 2.5% of children are obese.

The aim of the submitted diploma thesis is to find and describe how parents look back on the early school attendance in their intellectualy gifted children, what parents led to this decision and what were the reactions of the neighbourhood. The theoretical part of the diploma thesis deals with topics related to the issues of talent, developmental acceleration and premature start of school attendance. The theoretical part is divided into three major parts-the first one is dedicated to talent, its definitions and developmental acceleration and also the relationship between talent, intelligence and heredity. Some models of talents are also mentioned here. The second part deals with the gifted child, its characteristics and asynchrony in its development. The last part focuses on the initiation of education in children with accelerated cognitive development, school maturity and readiness and the possibility of acceleration in education. The practical part is dedicated to qualitative research ivolving parents of six children who started school attendance early and at the same time were intellectually accelerated. Later talent in the intellecutal area was diagnosed in all children based on repeated examination in Pedagogical Psychological Counseling Office.

Title: Impact of spa stay on obesity of older school-aged children. Purpose: Principal purpose of this thesis is to find out and assess the impact of spa stay on obesity of older school-aged children. Methodology: 100 children in the age of 11-15 participated in this inquiry (49 boys, 51 girls, average age 13 years). The children went through the 28-day long reduction treatment in spa facility. At the beginning and end of the therapy the following criteria were assessed: body weight, BMI, volume of body fat, volume of muscle mass, abdominal circumference and tests of agility, endurance and strength (Jacik's motoric test and test of walking for 2 km). During the 4-day treatment the children had the adjusted diet to 5000 KJ, respectively 8000 KJ (by age) and they participated every weekday in group exercise classes and guided walk. Results: The outcomes showed that the spa treatment favourably affected all observed criteria. The decrease of the following criteria of the respondents is statistically significant: body weight decrease (on average by 5,76 kg), decrease of volume of fat tissue (on average 3,36 %) and decrease of abdominal circumference (on average 5,62 cm). The primary objective is to find out which specific learning disability affects gross motor skills and thus may have an impact on physical education difficulties. The survey was conducted through questionnaires completed by 313 respondents. The questionnaire was focused on finding the popularity of sports and attitude of pupils toward physical educations. The goal was to find out what respondents like and dislike at PE classes, what other sport activities pupils perform outside of school and what attracts them try. Questionnaire was also finding out reasons of the popularity and unpopularity of PE and sports activities. The results of this thesis were evaluated using mathematical and statistical methods, and inscribed in the charts and tables. Both sexes were compared on the basis of responses of the research as same as younger and older school ages, and respondents from Kladno and rural schools in Kladno neighbourhood. Krasimira Marholeva, Ph.D. Abstract The dissertation assessed the interdependence between the process of integration and shifting national identity of Czech immigrants in the USA throughout the second half of the XIXth century. In the first place, I explored the strategy they elaborated in order to integrate to the American society. Secondly, I assessed how the Czech immigrants identified themselves and how they endeavoured to preserve their national and cultural identity, to prevent their children from acculturation and assimilation. Last but not least, I explored the process of integration and self-identification of the children of the Czech freethinkers during the period in question through the prism of their letters that had been published in the Czech-American freethinking periodical press. In my work, I relied on archival sources, on Czech-American periodical press, on auto-biographies of Czech immigrants in the USA, on memoirs of Czech-American contemporaries and Czech travellers, and last but not least, on letters of the children of the Czech freethinkers in the USA.

Evaluating the effect of exercise program DNS FIT KID in sportive older school-age children Abstract The diploma thesis evaluates of the effect of an exercise program called DNS FIT KID based on children older school-age who play sports. The theoretical part of the diploma thesis contains general knowledge about Dynamic neuromuscular stabilization. It describes the basic, such as developmental kinesiology, postural function and the stabilization system of the spine. Furthermore, the study also characterizes the DNS FIT KID exercise program, its key principles and exercise position. In the last section of the theoretical part of the diploma thesis, it approaches the specifics of the period of a child older school-age in sports. Methods: The research involved 15 sports participants (athletes and kayakers) aged 13 to 15 years. All participants attended 12 lessons of the DNS FIT KID exercise program. Once a week, the lessons took place under the guidance of a trained physiotherapist by the DNS method. Before and after the exercise program, the participants were examined using DNS FIT KID tests, gross motor tests and balance tests from the MABC-2 battery. The aim of the diploma thesis is to evaluate the mobility of the spine, the condition of flaton and the basic anthropological characteristics of boys and girls aged 13 and 15 years. Testing will be performed with non-invasive, standard tests and tests used in anthropological and medical practice. The data will be compared with the results of previous research. From the measured values, basic somatic dimensions, such as body weight, body height, circumference of right arm and head, were selected. The body mass index was calculated from body weight and height values. The diploma thesis deals with the assessment of the mobility of spine and flats. The Stibor test, Otto's test, Schober's test, the Cepoj test, the lateroflex test, and the modified Thomayer test were selected from the tests that evaluated the spine. In spine functional tests, the most interesting results of the Čepoj symptom are that the average values of cervical spine mobility deteriorate with the increasing age of boys. In the lateroflex tests, 13-year-old girls and 15-year-old boys beat the best average values. Additionally, these boys had the worst results in Stibor and Schrober's flag when deflected, but paradoxically achieved the best average values. The findings were compared with the results of previous research.

The thesis deals with creativity of the older school age within the leisure time edu-cation. The theoretical part shows the different points of view to the phenomenon of creativity and basic methods of its developement. It describes the specifics of the older school age stage emphasising the way of spending their leisure time. The practical part puts the theoretical knowledge into practice through preparation and realization of the one-week project for the older school age children. The individual activities are linked with a compact game.

Title: The use of free time activities for the pupils of secondary schools within the school breaks. Intention:. The aim of this research is to find out whether the observed pupils spend less time on their mobile phones when there are provided sport or other kind of activities which are carried out by school for this particular reason within the school breaks. Methodology: This was a quantitative analysis a comparison of the time spent on a mobile phone in older school age pupils during a twenty-minute school break with time spent on a mobile phone in the event of the same break but with sport and leisure activities. By random selection, one class was selected from the 6th, 7th and 8th class. The research was attended by children of the upper school age (11-15 years). A total of 77 pupils from 6, 7, 8. classes and 40 pupils of the 9th class. This research included a vulnerable group of minors. The 9th year was used in the research to implement the activities themselves and to assist in systematic structured observation. Results: The complete analysis shows higher percentage of mobile phone use in two classes with the emphasis on the days with activities rather than without. This diploma thesis in its theoretical and practical parts focuses on free play of children in pre-school facilities. Kindergarten is the place of early secondary socialization of the child and that's why one part of the diploma thesis is centred on this theme. The theoretical part helps for a deeper understanding of play, especially with 2-4 year old children and builds a foundation for the research. The practical part, based on one year's observation, monitors development of free play of a homogeneous group of children and finds how the quality of play changes with individuals as well as the group. Another focus lies on comparing two separate groups of children in their free play - one group having long term experience with free play and one without such regular experience. The main method of the research is observation. The results of the research points to the importance of free play for a pre-school age child and confirms the influence of free play in the process of early secondary socialization.

Title: Effect verification of interventional movement program on the motor skill development of children with specific needs. Objectives: The main goal of this thesis is to assess the level of physical skills of older school aged children based on the pretest using the MABC-2 test battery. Based on the analysis of pretest results, establish a movement interventional program and use a standardized questionnaire submitted to specialists to determine the effectiveness of the motor stimulation program for children with specific needs and improve the results of a potential post-test. Methods: The template for creating the movement program was collected data using the MABC-2 test battery obtained in six probands aged 11 to 13 years with specific needs. Originally, the practical part of my thesis was to deal with quasiexperiment, which was supposed to obtain data before and after the implementation of an interventional program which includes the movement program presented here. However, control measurements were not allowed due to government regulations due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This diploma thesis deals with the topic called "Preferences and Popularity of Individual Sports Branches by Children of Older School and Junior Age in Kolín". In the theoretic part I focused on definition of the main terms which occur in the name of the thesis as preferences, popularity, sports branch, children of older school age and children of junior age. Discovered data were processed on the basis of quantitative method via questionnaire survey and the evaluation was carried out via spreadsheet and statistical methods. The performed survey answered the stated survey questions from which emerged that children of older school age are more interested in performance sport. The most often performance sports done are football and dancing by both groups of the respondents. Further, girls would not change performance sport for their favourite one. Junior age children would like to do their favourite sport at performance level. Popularity of physical education does not vary by children doing sport for leisure or performance. In order to fulfil the objective, it was necessary to gather as much information as possible about the characteristics of older school-age children, the issue of injuries at this age, in general and in athletics specifically. Understanding the connections, two methods were then selected and described in detail which focus on preventing injury and which are used in athletics as well as other sports. One of these methods is the ComplexCore+ method which was invented and described by Austrian physical therapist and coach Roman Jahoda. This method is widely used in athletics and its main focus is the local and global stabilization of the body.
