Through this contact I got aclear view of the troubles that occured, the possibilities andlimitations that revolved around the subject. The problemthat had been identified was how the youths did not haveaccess to or sometimes were not trusted with a cash cardfor different reasons. This has created a problem for thesepeople when they are trying to shop from a store that hasbecome cashless. The consequences of this is clear, theycannot pay for themselves wich is based on two things.The trend of stores turning cashless and that people withintellectual disabilities have difficulties with understandingthe value of digital money. In this thesis I focus on the latter,the understanding of digital money.The problem will be treated with graphic design as a startingpoint and investigate how the cashless community canevolve to be more including. An initial idea session resultedin a focus of creating the following: An application thatsimplifies and clarifies digital monetary value. This will beperceived through providing the target group with a visualaid that can be customized based on the users comprehensionand preferences. The app will also include a paymentfeature that utilizes the opportunity to give the user visualaid. This can provide the user with a deeper understandingof the impact of the transaction on their total ammount.

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleDementia is a collective name for brain damage that affects the brain's function of processing information and knowledge. Today, there are about 160 000 people with dementia in Sweden and even when possible means are many, they are insufficient in their support. The purpose of this project was to develop a hardware that would be adapted to an Augmented Reality (AR) aid for people with dementia to provide the conditions for a more independent life, and increase physical and mental well-being. The AR aid is developed by memoARand is supposed to provide support in everyday life through navigation, face recognition, reminders, action, cooking and conversation. By adapting existing knowledge in dementia and AR technology, the aid would be effectively integrated into a product in the form of Augmented Reality glasses. As preliminary work, literature studies, questionnaires, medical reports and lectures that examined dementia have been investigated and common problem areas identified. Meetings with the Dementia Association have also been made to get a first-hand perspective on the practical measures that are being used today and how they affect the everyday lives of a person with dementia. The technical part of the work has been investigated by making a “State of the art” where existing models have been studied, from which both the recurring components present in all the products that are needed for the technology to work properly, to the components with technical purpose specific to different attributes. Typical of dementia diseases is impairment of memory, language, perception of time and orientation, but research showed that support for orientation would have the greatest impact both physically and mentally and was therefore the function that became the main focus of the project. User friendliness and discretion were very important to the target group, which was the basis for the evaluations of the technology. This resulted in three concepts that could then be combined into a conceptual selection, tailored to the needs of the target group. The final concept was a pair of glasses with an intuitive user interface in the form of voice control and simple buttons and a discrete design that provides sight correction and bypasses some hearing deficiencies.

Dessvärre upplever många beslutsfattare att beslutstödssystemen inte ger ett fullgott stöd (Carson & Turban, 2002). Anledningen till detta menar Angehrn och Jelassi (1994) är att tillräckligt stor hänsyn inte har tagits till mänskliga faktorer, såsom kognitiva begränsningar. Det är av vikt att utgå från andra modeller över mänskligt beslutsfattande än Simons (1960) modell, som i stort sett är den enda modellen som utgås från (Angehrn & Jelassi, 1994). En modell av Mintzberg et al. (1976) kan utgöra ett alternativ till Simons modell. För att få vetskap dels om vilka kognitiva svårigheter beslutsfattare upplever dels om huruvida modellen framarbetad av Mintzberg et al. är lämplig att använda för att beskriva vilka kognitiva svårigheter beslutsfattare upplever vid beslutsfattande i organisationer genomfördes öppna intervjuer med medelhögt uppsatta chefer i olika organisationer. Resultatet visar att informationsinhämtande, verklighetskontroll, generering av lösningsförslag och förutseende av konsekvenser är svårigheter viktiga att stödja. Utifrån resultatet kan en slutsats dras om att Mintzberg et al:s modell är lämplig för att beskriva kognitiva svårigheter, men att vissa modifieringar i modellen borde göras

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleRumslig dramaturgi is a thesis in information design, with a focus on spatial design. Today, according to governing regional documents, there are cultural goals and statutory accessibility criteria, which through democracy are a value base that regional museum operations need to face. The information design is to work towards these goals and laws, while considering the human processes for collecting information and rendering. If this knowledge does not exist or is disregarded, both the accessibility requirements and the regional goals are at risk. Therefore, the purpose of this work is to investigate how narrative techniques and dramaturgy can be used for information and message mediation that supports the cognitive accessibility within exhibition contexts. The work is based on theories such as cognition, perception, narratives and dramaturgy, as well as performed qualitative research methods. The results of these are outlined, and furthermore used as a starting point to a proposal where a model for spatial dramaturgy is exemplified in the exhibition Historiska ögonblick at Sörmlands Museum located in Nyköping, Södermanlands County. Der volle Inhalt der QuelleDuring my time at Blekinge Institute of Technology I’ve worked at a LSS housing facility in Olofström, Blekinge. It was there I got the idea to merge my job and schoolwork to create something for a very specific target group. I have always been interested in creating applications for hand-held devices such as tablets and smartphones that are used as aids and teaching materials. I’m using the methodology participatory design, and along with people that lives with cognitive disabilities, meaning they have some form of disability in their brain, I developed a prototype. I needed their experience and knowledge because I don’t know how I would shape the application to fit their needs otherwise. With all the experience these people gave me, I created a prototype based on their feelings and ideas, ideas that have been brought up in our workshops. In the workshops we discussed the everyday activities they thought were fun, outdoors as well as indoors, and what could make those activities even more enjoyable. The two ideas that we emerged with, and later merged, were walking 4 and picknicking. The idea is for an application where you have the opportunity to invite your friends and family to a picknick. You make a list of what you want to include on the picknick and then create an event.

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleWe have chosen to conduct a study of one parenting group intervention in Uppsala kommun. The study addresses parents with cognitive difficulties. With this study, we want to examine the group leaders view at the group program, and to increase our understanding of how they view their role as group leaders. The purpose of this study is also to shed light on how the parents have experienced their participation in the group program. We have made a qualitative study where we conducted interviews with the two group leaders. We also had access to an evaluation form filled out by parents with the help of the group leaders during the final interview. The final interview was conducted after the completion of the group program. The theoretical perspectives we had when we analyzed our material is KASAM as well as a socialconstructionism. Key concepts in our analysis are three perspectives on disability: medical perspective, social perspective and rights perspective. The results of our study show that the group leaders had no specific model after which they worked. Instead the leaders have focused on children's needs, attitudes, responsiveness, dialogue, safe socializing skills as well as being open to the parents' wishes and needs. This has resulted in that the group leaders experience that a secure relationship has been established with the parents, a relationship of trust. This means that parents have expanded the width of their social networking; both the formal and informal networks have been expanded. Even a change and positive development of the parents' personality and their parenthood shows, according to the group leaders. Our study also shows that parents have more knowledge about their situation, knowledge of their rights and where they can turn in society. They are not as afraid to ask questions when they do not know or understand certain contexts. According to our analysis, the survey shows that parents appreciated being able to meet others in a similar situations. The parents would also recommend other parents to participate in parents group.
