Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis thesis is based on a perceived problem from staffmembers of an accommodation for youths with disabilitiesthat has been shared with me. Through this contact I got aclear view of the troubles that occured, the possibilities andlimitations that revolved around the subject. The problemthat had been identified was how the youths did not haveaccess to or sometimes were not trusted with a cash cardfor different reasons. This has created a problem for thesepeople when they are trying to shop from a store that hasbecome cashless. The consequences of this is clear, theycannot pay for themselves wich is based on two things. The trend of stores turning cashless and that people withintellectual disabilities have difficulties with understandingthe value of digital money. In this thesis I focus on the latter, the understanding of digital money. The problem will be treated with graphic design as a startingpoint and investigate how the cashless community canevolve to be more including. An initial idea session resultedin a focus of creating the following: An application thatsimplifies and clarifies digital monetary value. This will beperceived through providing the target group with a visualaid that can be customized based on the users comprehensionand preferences. The app will also include a paymentfeature that utilizes the opportunity to give the user visualaid. This can provide the user with a deeper understandingof the impact of the transaction on their total ammount.

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleAcessibility is a concept that can be defined in several diferent ways, including a definition that can be linked to the physical environment. The purpose of the essay is to describe how managers in gym in southern Sweden define the word accessibility, describe how professionals in gym in southern Sweden experience their gym accessibility for members with physical disabilities and, what managers in gym in southern Sweden feel that they do to improve accessbility for members with physical disabilities. The study has a qualitative approach where four different managers for four different gyms have been interviewd. To understand the results, the theories of the social model and the crypt theory have been used. The results show that the informants had other associations to the concept avaliability than just connected to the physical enviornment. Furthermore, the results of the interviews show that the managers feel that there are many shortcomings in the gym`s physical environment from an accesibility perspective and that most of the managers work to improve accessibility. The conclusion of te essay highlights that the gym is not an arena that can be said to be accessible to all individuals.

Nowadays, the life of disabled people have been becoming more easily and comfortably thanks to the support of modern science and technology products. There were many devices that were produced to serve for a number of needs of disabled people such as walking around and living activities. In daily life, the issues of moving up and down using staircases have always been big difficulties for these people. The aim of this thesis is to study the patents which were invented to resolve these problems or demands. By employing the research tools including TRIZ and patent map, it is possible to propose an innovative idea which has more impact and improved or advanced properties in order to satisfy the demands of disabled people.
Monama, Nozuko. „Department of Public Works compliance with measures for disabled access in public buildings“. Thesis, 2017. http://hdl.handle.net/10539/23051.
Der volle Inhalt der QuelleAccessibility in the built environment has always created barriers for persons with disabilities. Accessibility in public buildings is a key factor for persons with disabilities in achieving livelihoods and independence. However, inaccessible public buildings limits the rights of persons with disabilities to equal participation and prevents them from being equal citizens. Persons with disabilities are often faced with barriers that limit them from actively participating in social and economic life. Many of these barriers are related to accessibility in the built environment. This research report looked into the Department of Public Works’ Accessibility Programme. The accessibility programme intends to make all state-owned buildings accessible for persons with disabilities. The participants of the study were mostly implementers of the accessibility programme and participants from organisations of persons with disabilities. Most of the participants acknowledged the work the Department of Public Works has done. However, they also noted shortcomings in implementing the accessibility programme. The lack of knowledge on disability issues and understanding on how to address accessibility in the built environment was a contributing factor to the ineffective and efficient accessibility programme. The recommendations of the study include inclusive disability programmes in the built environment in the planning, policy development, designing and completion stages. Education and advocacy are highly recommended at all stages of the implementation of the accessibility programme.
