The project was conducted on behalf of the company Atran velo. The goal of this project is to develop a bicycle/tractor that is integrated with the company´s AVS-system. The project was carried out during the spring 2021 and comprises 22,5 hp. The purpose of this project is to develop a trolly that can increase the load capacity when using a standard bicycle. This allows people to use their bicycle on several occasions which contributes to many positive aspects. By taking the bicycle instead of the car it contributes to reduced emission, which has a positive effect on the environment. It can also increase the physical activity of people which contributes to the individual’s health. The project has been based on the product development process with the phases project planning, pilot study, product specification, concept selection, design, final process, and report writing. In these phases various proven methods have been used. The result of this project is a concept of a trolley with coupling. The trolley can be used both as a bicycle cart and carriage. It can easily be connected and disconnected from the bicycle, when for example doing grocery shopping. The trolley has two loading surfaces, and both are integrated with AVS - bridges which makes it work like an AVS-carrier. It can also be folded for space saving witch increase customer value. Most of the trolley is made of aluminum which minimize the weight and is corrosion resistance.

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleWell-planned, legible, and safe walking and cycling paths help in reducing the risk of injury while encouraging the use of walking or cycling as a means of transport. However, design influence how different people perceive and use the paths, passages, and intersections. When the design is well made and easy to understand the risk of injury to pedestrians and cyclists is reduced. But what do people perceive as good design? Literature was examined to get a comprehensive idea of which factors influence the perception. Three general themes, or categories, were identified: clarity, security, and pleasantness. As part of the three categories 13 influencing factors could then be found: signage, markings, road type, navigation, visibility, obstacles, road width, separation of path for walking, separation of path for cycling, traffic lights, general design, material, and colour. An online survey was then conducted in which respondents were presented with five photos of pedestrian and bicycle paths photographed in the city centre of Gävle. The respondents were asked to evaluate the 13 factors in the pictures on whether they found the factor as a positive or a negative influence. The results from the survey were compiled both as a whole and separately according to the two demographic groups General public and Professionals, in which spatial planning students from Högskolan i Gävle functioned as stand-ins for professionals. To investigate the difference between the groups a hypothesis was tested: if the students perceive and value the designs differently. The results showed that there was no significant difference between the groups, even though the students were somewhat more positive towards most of the factors. The calculations that were carried out also showed that the respondents were neutral to the places in the pictures, except for factors linked to pleasantness that were often perceived more negative than the rest.

We had 214 Ultravasan runners and145 Cykelvasan cyclists complete the Revised NEO Personality Inventory test, to assesstheir personality based on the Big Five. The main question was whether the personality ofthe runners would differ from the cyclists’.Results showed that runners scored higher on openness compared to the cyclists.Furthermore, runners were significantly less extrovert than the cyclists. Generally however,the results showed minor differences in personality between the two groups.

Metod: Semistrukturerade intervjuer med tjänstemän, politiker och entusiaster i Umeå och Jönköping kommun, dokumentanalys av dokument tillhandahållna av kommunerna samt observationer i Umeå stadskärna. Resultat: Umeås och Jönköpings tankesätt kring ett hållbart samhälle har kartlagts. De stora skillnaderna mellan kommunerna är tidsperioden som de aktivt arbetat med cykelfrågan och hur man inom tjänstemannakåren prioriterar vid planeringen. Umeås stora fördel vid beslutstaganden är att tjänstemän och politiker arbetar mot samma mål och är eniga i cykelfrågan. Detta leder till att cykelfrämjande beslut enklare kan drivas igenom. Eftersom städernas förutsättningar skiljer sig åt, konstateras även att Umeås sätt att planera sin trafik inte nödvändigtvis är rätt sätt för Jönköping. Konsekvenser: Jönköping måste, för att utveckla sitt cykelvägnät våga släppa det föråldrade tankesättet kring att biltrafiken är nödvändig i en stad och istället våga ta svåra beslut som gynnar cykelfrämjandet. Begränsningar: Studien behandlar inte de ekonomiska aspekterna som finns kring utvecklandet av ett attraktivt cykelvägnät. Miljöfrågan har enbart behandlats på en grundläggande nivå, då det är nödvändigt för att uppfylla studiens mål. Studiens mål anses vara uppnått men hade kunnat utvecklas ytterligare om fler parter intervjuats. The aim is also to use innovation drone tocollect traffic data, thereby creating the basis for an overall evaluation of the method'ssuitability and feasibility for traffic investigations and studies.Among vulnerable road users, children are more vulnerable than others and it is difficult forchildren to deal with complex traffic environments. Children's freedom of movement and theability to explore their surroundings on their own way have decreased as motor vehicle traffichas increased. More and more parents are driving their children to school and busier roadsmean more danger for children. As a result, the number of children walking or cycling to schoolis decreasing. Walking and cycling play a crucial role in achieving a long-term sustainabletransportation system and in giving children more freedom of movement. It is also a travelbehavior that children can carry over into adulthood. Furthermore, reduced physical activityaffects children's learning ability and school performance, in a negative direction. The trafficenvironment around schools is often not designed to cope with an increasing volume ofvehicle traffic.To promote walking and cycling among school children, designing safer walking and cyclingpaths and passages around the school is a fundamental prerequisite. In this paper,Stadsparksskolan was chosen to investigate the design of walking and cycling paths as well aspassages around the school environment. Site analysis and drone flying are the methods thathave been used to collect data to meet the aim of the study.The pedestrian and bicycle paths to Stadsparksskolan are not considered to be sufficientlysafe, mainly due to inconsequent and incoherent road design. Speed-reducing measures alongthe adjacent carriageway to the school are necessary to ensure road safety for children.

Der volle Inhalt der QuellePurpose: In a world with an increased awareness of the harm caused by traffic to the environment and health, it is preferable that more people choose cycling instead of driving. The purpose of this work is to create an attractive city environment for cyclists which will give a greater sense of security and leading to more people considering the use of bicycles. Method: The methods chosen to make the analysis is to check the demands and recommendations from Trafikverket, moreover make observations according to Mini Cycleability Index in order to see if the West Center of Jönköping is attractive to cyclists. Geographical Information systems has been used as a method for data collection and analysis. At last an interview was held with Jönköping municipality to discover what future plans they have regarding the studied area and how relevant the plans are with the findings of this research. Further purpose of the interview with the municipality was to see how they perform a road-network analysis and obtain an opinion on the analysis performed in this paper. Findings: The results show that the road system in Jönköping West Center has roads of shifting qualities. The grades have been split into three; great, good and poor. Great being the highest grade and poor the lowest. The three qualities of roads do exist within the area, however the poor roads appear to be more frequent than the others. The evaluation system is built upon how well the roads perform in the categories: space, safety and continuity. Implications: The conclusion of this work is that there are several roads as graded poor within the area that need to be considered for reconstruction to create an attractive area for cyclists. In the area the results showed that the roads graded as great mostly runs from north to south and few exists from east to west. Due to this it is difficult to bike within the area as the connectivity between the great graded roads are lacking. Limitations: The investigation is limited to the choice of the area (Jönköping West Center) and the aspects analyzed which are safety, space and continuity. Due to the time aspect further limitations on data collection has come, where a measurement of cyclists and a survey could have been useful to do. In order to suit the Cycleability index with the choice of area and the methods available to use, there has been a reduction of the amount categories evaluated

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleCykeln har länge varit ett transportmedel för korta och medellånga resor. Dess popularitet har varierat med tiden men idag är den på uppgång igen. Den största anledningen till cykelns ökade popularitet är att den är hållbar både ekologiskt, ekonomiskt och socialt. För områden där cykeln idag har starka fästen pratas det ofta om en cykelkultur. Cykelkultur kan dock inte byggas genom att utforma gator. Men genom att utforma gator på rätt sätt kan kommunen skapa fördelar för cyklister vilken i sin tur kan leda till att fler väljer cykeln. Styrdokument finns för hur gator ska planeras för gång- och cykeltrafik. Dessa finns på statlig, regional och lokal nivå men kan skilja sig en del beroende vart informationen hämtas från. Tidigare i Täby kommun planerades det inte för gång- och cykelbanor i stadsmiljö vilket gjort att de lokala riktlinjerna inte varit uppdaterade och inte använts. Istället har andra externa styrdokument använts. Nu har de uppdaterats och användas vid planering och utformning av gång- och cykelbanor vilket kommer att undersökas i detta examensarbete. Med detta examensarbete är syftet att undersöka möjligheter och utmaningar för svenska kommuner att skapa säkra gång- och cykelbanor i befintliga stadsmiljöer. Detta kommer att utföras genom en fallstudie i Täby kommun. Genom att undersöka både generella styrdokument och Täby kommuns egna styrdokument samt undersöka hur planeringen av gång- och cykelbanor går till i praktiken har dessa förutsättningar och svar identifierats. Det som i slutändan leder till hur gång- och cykelbanor utformas är först och främst de befintliga styrdokumenten. Riktlinjer och rekommendationer fungerar som en grund för all planering av gång- och cykelbanor. Förutom styrdokumenten har förutsättningarna för ett specifikt område betydelse för hur utformningen blir. T ex hur bred kan vägen byggas eller hur kommer flödet för en gata se ut. Det finns även yttre påverkande faktorer som politik, ekonomi och intressen som kan påverka utformningen. Tjänstepersoner på bland annat kommunen kan även frångå styrdokument eller komma på nya lösningar där styrdokumenten inte räcker till. För att göra så många som möjligt nöjda är det bra att i framtiden vara ute i god tid med strukturella trafikfrågor i en fördjupad översiktsplan (FÖP) eller strukturplan. Detta kan minska risken för att boende, verksamhetsägare eller sakägare inte blir nöjda med det slutliga resultatet.

An investigation of the Stockholm and Copenhagen region will be made with the purpose to look at good regional planning for the bicycle grid through cooperation of the municipalities. The report will look more closely at proposed actions in planning documents and how the cooperation looks in reality. The plans for the making of the Stockholm regional bicycle grid is quite similar to the ones in Copenhagen, which has been seen as a great example for the regional plans in Stockholm. The regional och municipality plans contains standards of shape, maintenance, and finance of the regional bicycle lanes. In additional to the plans is experiences of the cooperation processes in real life. Cooperation between the municipalities in the region is made via the the regional bicycle council in Stockholm and Copenhagen. In Copenhagen, the municipalities work together through the whole process of making a regional bicycle lane, they apply for state financing together and write a contract of cooperation which states that they must keep to the agreed standards. I the region of Stockholm the municipalities work more independently, they apply for state financing themselves and only cooperates regarding maintenance and signage. The municipalities of Copenhagen were involved from the start in the process of making the regional bicycle plan. The municipalities of Stockholm had a more marginalized role. It is important to let the municipalities be a part of the process regarding integrating the thinking about the regional bicycle lanes in the municipalities. Actions which could be implemented in Stockholm with Copenhagen as an inspiration includes making more space for the bicycle on the streets while decreasing space for the car, that all the involved municipalities of regional bicycle lane cooperates closely to make safe a great standard and to also increase the size of the regional bicycle council. The council could contain a group which is responsible to see to that all the regional lanes has the same standard. The council can also grow in personnel to make sure that all the municipalities have the conditions which is needed to make the bicycle more prioritized. Stockholm could also like Copenhagen work to create routes for the bicycle which work more as a shortcut through green belts, over water and over highways without having to consider the routes of cars.

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleProject description: Three planned high schools in the area were to have a common building with different social functions, such as a library, social areas and a dining room. Early on in the process, I figured that the program had many functions that potensially could be interesting for the general public, such as a library, social areas and an exhibition. This led to the concept of opening up the building and making it accessible to everyone, creating potensial for an active building, even after school hours. So how can openness be communicated in form? My concept was to extend the public space and let it continue uninterrupted through the whole interior., in short: a ramp. By connecting the ramp to Enskede, lying ten metres above the plot, the building became a public street. Stockholm municipality had an ambition for opening up Slakthusomradet, and the building became a part of this project. The program in the assignment excisted of many zones, usually associated with staff areas. I wanted to change that conception and make these rooms open to the public. These rooms included for example administration, cleaning and kitchen. The materials used were all taken from typical public spaces, such as concrete, stone, asphalt, steel and glass. Furthermore, the character of the materials were to change when you moved from “the street” and into the closed spaces. Here you would find wooden walls and furniture, as well as curtains of cotton.
