Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe question of the mobilization of social media (SM) for political purposes has raised, since a few years, numerous debates in several disciplinary fields. Our research aims to study the information and communication behavior of the Rif activists of the diaspora on SM in a context of socio-political crisis marked by a popular protest movement known as the "Hirak". The study also aims at analyzing the various information functions of these actors, the emotional dimension within this movement, the hybridization of Rif activism. The identity component of this activism through the collective sense-making, the use of language and the symbolism employed within it will also be looked at.To conduct our study, we used ethnography within online and offline spaces as well as participant observation and ethnographic interview. The online study space consisted of a sample totaling 171 entities committed to the Hirak. Within this sample, we conducted 19 face-to-face or telephone interviews with Rif activists based in Europe. We then conducted a thematic analysis at the end of which we proposed a global model of the use of SM by actors in socio-political crisis situations. The proposed model highlights the different roles of these activists, their information and communication behavior (need, seeking, use and sharing) as well as the processing devices and the emotional charges accompanying all these practices. It also develops the collective sense-making through the language used and the symbolism deployed on SM

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleIn 2012, China is an economic superpower with extraordinary demographics and directed by an authoritarian military regime. The current regime is a continuation of the Deng Xiaoping’s era which was characterized by economic and social development made possible by a progressive liberalisation of private ownership and entrepreneurship, provided the Chinese people accept the social and political statu quo. Results have met the expectations of the Chinese Communist Party leaders since China is now an economic superpower. However, this development has been associated with an acceleration of the degradation of the environment. In recent decades, China’s environment has been deteriorating rapidly due to increasing anthropogenic assaults linked to economical development as well as governance failures. These, when added to several other related factors such as population size, increase and density, cause important health and food dysfunctions, which, in turn, generate more or less violent social and political externalities (mass demonstrations and repression). The link between internal environmental dysfunctions on the one hand, and health and political security on the other hand, fits in the theoretical field of environmental security. This thesis approaches the issue of environmental security in China by examining the relationships between the environment and health, and between health and political security, in order to understand better the overall relationship between the environment and internal political security.

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleIn 2012, Mali experienced a conflict that was unprecedented even in a string of rebellious movements by the Touareg population since the country’s independence. The ensuing crisis has not yet been resolved. The reconstruction of the state and the return of the displaced and refugee populations of Mali are at the heart of the post-conflict problem. These two issues are related and have affected each other for a long time. The failure and weakness of the Malian state, which was not considered fragile before 2012, is one of the causes of forced migration of northern populations. The crisis since 2012 can be interpreted as the crisis of the Malian state: a crisis of legitimacy, effectiveness, and efficiency. By studying the trajectory of Malian refugees in the camps of Abala and Tabarey-barey in Niger; by decrypting the conditions laid down for their return, we can draw "in hollow" a "need of State" material and symbolic, expressed more or less consciously by the refugees. However, the process of reconstruction of the Malian state, conditioned by the temporality and modalities of the exit from the conflict, shaped by the internal and external power relations, sketches a completely different state reality

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleOur study is intended to be an exploratory analysis based on a case study. Starting from a sample debate articulated around a public issue, namely the corporate social responsibility (CSR), we apprehend the discourse as an instrument of power deployed by actors in a conflict position. We take the ecological crisis caused by British Petroleum (BP) in the Gulf of Mexico since April 20, 2010 as a case study, and the reaction of the U.S. administration to intervene and reassure the public opinion alarmed by this crisis. In order to select our corpus, we have identified two target populations of discourse, in this case the speech given by the U.S. government (Obama's speech) and discourses representing the official opinion of BP (BP's press releases) dated April 20, 2010 until September 19, 2010. We considered any discourse occurring in a context of conflict symbolically as a power signs carrier and a mobilizing instrument of power relations between the involved actors. We start from the hypothesis stating that organizational and governmental discourses, studied and produced in a crisis context, are necessarily conflictual discourses within the meaning of Windisch (1987). And we used the analytical framework developed by Windisch (1987) to highlight the internal functioning of a confrontational speech seen as a vector of power and legitimacy. In our research, we preceded the discourse analysis, the main method in our study, by a qualitative content analysis. The use of content analysis aims to determine the various themes developed in the discourse, examine how actors define the CSR topic and put the corpus in its own reality, by using the HYPERRESEARCH qualitative content analysis software. In addition, by implementing the theoretical assumptions and methodological tools from discourse analysis, we auscultated the performative legitimating potential of discourses constructed and developed in a conflict communication context. We used the TROPES text analysis software recognized as a textual analysis tool able to generate representative models of the corpus structure and its thematic organization. KEY CONCEPTS Confrontational discourse, discursive strategies, CSR, legitimacy, power, tandem of government and enterprise.
Ndoumbe, Dorothée. „Médias africains et crises sociopolitiques au Cameroun“. Thesis, Aix-Marseille, 2019. http://www.theses.fr/2019AIXM0577.
Der volle Inhalt der QuelleIn Cameroon today, the prevailing socio-political political crisis have brought to the forefront new forms of reporting of political and social events centred on a 'violent', 'direct' and 'blunt' description of events which sometimes justifies the suspicion that certain media companies are 'subversive'. Such media houses are 'dissident' or 'resistant' to the established order, while others support the government and are in tandem with the policies and actions of the government in place. In this light, it is clear that there is a dichotomy in the press in Cameroon between those of the public sector or state owned media and those of the private sector which are generally considered as being pro opposition. This division into two opposing camps of the press in Cameroon has the effect of transforming journalists in Cameroon from a mere 'informer' or 'transmission belt' (Rieffel, 2009) to a political actor as well. We shall analyse the media language of the different actors in the socio-political crisis as well as the motivations which constitute the basis of their actions. Our research is centred on the emergence of social issues on to the public domain, their transformation into media events and the role of the media as political actors who participate in the construction of the meaning read into socio-political events in Cameroon by the way they treat information. In other words it is about the manner in which social events are brought to the attention of the public and the manner in which they are treated by the media
