Abstract. This paper describes the extension of the concepts of connectedness and conservation of connectedness that underlie the generalized Archie's law for n phases to the interpretation of the saturation exponent. It is shown that the saturation exponent as defined originally by Archie arises naturally from the generalized Archie's law. In the generalized Archie's law the saturation exponent of any given phase can be thought of as formally the same as the phase (i.e. cementation) exponent, but with respect to a reference subset of phases in a larger n-phase medium. Furthermore, the connectedness of each of the phases occupying a reference subset of an n-phase medium can be related to the connectedness of the subset itself by Gi = GrefSini. This leads naturally to the idea of the term Sini for each phase i being a fractional connectedness, where the fractional connectednesses of any given reference subset sum to unity in the same way that the connectednesses sum to unity for the whole medium. One of the implications of this theory is that the saturation exponent of any phase can be now be interpreted as the rate of change of the fractional connectedness with saturation and connectivity within the reference subset.

The school climate plays an important role in meeting students competence. The school climate which consists of relationships with peers connectednes, teacher support, school connectedness, affirming diversity, rules clarity and reporting and seeking help are elements that are studied to understand these elements with a sense of satisfaction student`s competence. Data obtained from stratified sampling involving a total of 361 secondary school students in Hilir Perak district were analyzed using a multivariate approach involving the use of Structural equation modeling (SEM) techniques. The findings proved that only elements of school connectedness, peer connectedness and rules clarity contribute to the satisfaction of students' competence. Therefore, stakeholders such as the Malaysian Ministry of Education need to re-examine the effectiveness of the programs implemented so that they can be used by students.

Dimensi school connectedness yang berpengaruh terhadap school wellbeing adalah being connected and liked by students, communication dan being liked by teachers. Namun untuk dimensi belonging tidak memiliki pengaruh terhadap school wellbeing pada siswa SMA. Dimensi school connectedness yang memiliki effect size terbesar adalah being liked by teachers kemudian communication dan yang terakhir adalah being connected and liked by students.Kata kunci: school connectedness, school well-being, Sekolah Menengah Abstract. This research was conducted to look at the relationship between school and school - both in high school students. This research is a quantitative study involving subjects consisting of 134 high school students based on the calculation of the application G * Power version 3.1.9.2. Data retrieval is done by connecting two scales, namely the scale of school connectivity and school scale using the accidental sampling method. Test data analysis in this study using Pearson product moment. What is the positive relationship with (r = 0.77, p = 0.00) which means that the relationship between the school and school variables in the Middle School students is significant. The results of this study have a positive value. Where there is a positive relationship between variables, the higher the level of student school connection to the school, the higher the school level will be, and vice versa. Dimensions school connectedness related to school wellbeing are related and liked by students, communication and liked by teachers. But belonging does not have an influence on school wellbeing in high school students. The dimension of school connectednes which has the greatest effect size is liked by the teachers then communication and the last is connected and liked by students. Keywords: school connectedness, school well-being, secondary school

Thank you for the opportunity to speak with you all today. This comes about because my good friend Steve Biddulph, author of "Manhood" a bestselling book about setting men free, was unable to be here and suggested to your organisers that I take his place. Steve has been doing a great job around Australia and overseas raising people's awareness of the need to balance the attention given to women's issues by addressing the real needs of males, particularly young boys, in our rapidly changing society. I intend to expand this topic to address the problem of people's lack of connectedness and increasing alienation, which is not a gender specific issue, but one which is having an increasingly unhealthy impact for all of us as well as creating some special problems for males in our society. The theme of this conference one of celebration implies some sort of proclamation, something to rejoice about. Unfortunately this alienated society is not a subject for celebration at the moment. So my challenge is for us all is to think of ways personally and institutionally that we can be involved in celebrating the death of alienation and the rebirth of connections between people. Connections which involve, Security, Empathy, Afflrmation and Protection. Where the individual can feel unique, can experience the impact they make on others and be moved by that impact, to love and be loved. Connections between country and city, between black and white, male and female, school and community, teacher and learner, boss and worker, parent and child.

In this paper, a new class of \(\alpha_\beta\)-open sets in a topological space \(X\) is introduced which forms a topology on \(X\). The connectedness of this new topology on \(X\), called \(\alpha_\beta\)-connectedness, turns out to be equivalent to connectedness of \(X\) and hence also to \(\alpha\)-connectedness of \(X\). The \(\alpha_\beta\)-continuous and \(\alpha_\beta\)-irresolute mappings are defined and their relationship with other mappings such as continuous mappings and \(\alpha\)-continuous mappings are discussed. An intermediate value theorem is obtained. The hyperconnected spaces constitute a subclass of \(\alpha_\beta\)-connected spaces.

Abstract A new property called Pβ-connectedness is introduced which is stronger than connectedness and equivalent to pre-connectedness. The properties of this notion are explored and its relationship with other forms of connectedness, for example hyperconnectedness etc. are discussed. Locally pre-indiscrete spaces are defined as the spaces in which pre-open sets are closed. In such spaces connectedness becomes equivalent to pre-connectedness and hence to Pβ-connectedness, and semi-connectedness becomes equivalent to Pβ- connectedness. The notion of locally Pβ-connected space is introduced. The behavior of Pβ-connectedness under several types of mappings is investigated. An intermediate value theorem is obtained.

This year, we introduced the concept of infra soft topology as a new generalization of soft topology. To complete our analysis of this space, we devote this paper to presenting the concepts of infra soft connected and infra soft locally connected spaces. We provide some descriptions for infra soft connectedness and elucidate that there is no relationship between an infra soft topological space and its parametric infra topological spaces with respect to the property of infra soft connectedness. We discuss the behaviors of infra soft connected and infra soft locally connected spaces under infra soft homeomorphism maps and a finite product of soft spaces. We complete this manuscript by defining a component of a soft point and establishing its main properties. We determine the conditions under which the number of components is finite or countable, and we discuss under what conditions the infra soft connected subsets are components.

Connectedness is the key to modern risk measurement and management. This study investigates the international connectedness of crude oil prices and explores its time-varying characteristics based on a connectedness measurement framework using daily international crude oil prices. The international connectedness of crude oil prices is investigated from three perspectives: total connectedness, total directional connectedness, and pairwise directional connectedness. We find that the total connectedness of crude oil prices is 67.3%. We also find that the crude oil prices of Tapes, Daqing, Dubai and Minas are highly affected by Brent and WTI (West Texas Intermediate) crude oil prices. Furthermore, WTI and Brent are the price makers of international crude oil prices, while Tapes, Daqing, Dubai and Minas are price takers. From the perspective of pairwise directional connectedness, we find that the degree of pairwise directional connectedness between Brent and WTI are high. Finally, the structure of international crude oil markets stays the same even after market shocks. The main contributions of this study are identification of dynamic connectedness and presentation of the network connectedness of international crude oil prices.

Objectives: In this study, we aimed to examine the structural relationships among mothers’ childhood nature experiences, their nature-connectedness self-efficacy, and young children’s connectedness to nature. We also aimed to explore the mediating effects of mothers’ nature-connectedness self-efficacy on their childhood nature experiences and young children’s connectedness to nature. Methods: Data were collected from 414 mothers with young children aged three to five years. The scales used in this study were used for the first time in Korea. Data were analyzed based on frequency, mean, standard deviation, and Pearson’s correlation coefficient with SPSS 25.0 software, Structural equation modeling (SEM) was applied to analyze the mediating effects with the bootstrapping method and AMOS 28.0.Results: First, there were significant correlations between mothers’ childhood nature experiences, young children’s connectedness to nature and mothers’ nature connectedness self-efficacy. Second, SEM supported the hypothesized relations among mothers’ childhood nature experiences, mothers’ nature-connectedness self-efficacy, and young children’s connectedness after controlling for young children’s gender. It was also found that mothers’ nature-connectedness self-efficacy partially mediated the relationship between mothers’ childhood nature experiences and young children’s connectedness to nature. Conclusion: This study revealed that mothers' childhood nature experiences and nature-connectedness self-efficacy predicted young children’s connectedness to nature. Developing connectedness to nature is essential for young children who are the main players in the era of a sustainable society. This study provides important basic data for policies or programs that promote the development of young children’s connectedness to nature by emphasizing the role of mothers' nature experiences and nature-connectedness self-efficacy.

Annotation:
We investigated the connectedness of the returns and volatility of clean energy stock, technology stock, crude oil, natural gas, and investor sentiment based on the time-varying parameter vector autoregressive (TVP-VAR) connectedness approach. The empirical results indicate that the average total connectedness is higher in the volatility system than in the return system. The investor sentiment has a weak impact on clean energy stock. Our results show that the dynamic total connectedness across assets in the system varies with time. Furthermore, the dynamic total connectedness increases significantly during financial turmoil. Dynamic total volatility connectedness is more sensitive to financial turmoil. By comparing the connectedness estimated by the TVP-VAR model with the rolling-window VAR model, we find the dynamic total return connectedness of the TVP-VAR model is similar to the estimated results of a 200 day rolling-window VAR model.
