Vasile, Jennifer. „Crise de l'autorité et processus de radicalisation chez des adolescents et post- adolescents en France“. Electronic Thesis or Diss., Bourgogne Franche-Comté, 2023. http://www.theses.fr/2023UBFCH041.
Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis doctoral thesis focuses on the psychological and identity trajectories of adolescents and post-adolescents affected by the phenomenon of radicalization. The main objective of this thesis is to refine and broaden our understanding of the complex dynamics and individual and collective vulnerabilities that underlie the phenomenon of radicalization among adolescents and post-adolescents. The research is based on a psychodynamic approach that seeks to explore both individual and contextual aspects, shedding light on the multidimensional complexity of radicalization. The research methodology integrates three distinct qualitative studies to gather diverse perspectives. All studies were conducted using semi-structured interviews. The first study includes a thematic analysis of the trajectories of young individuals affected by the radicalization phenomenon and their families' perspectives on it. The second study focuses on the thematic analysis of the discourse of professionals confronted with the phenomenon of radicalization in their daily work. This study aims to enhance the overall understanding of radicalization. The last study reports an in-depth case study analysis of the journey of a young individual affected by radicalization. This study allows a more precise exploration of the underlying psychological, social, and identity dynamics, providing insights into the unseen forces that can push an individual towards radical paths. The results of this research show a link between the crisis of authority and the phenomenon of radicalization. They highlight that the radicalization of adolescents and post-adolescents goes beyond mere adherence to an extreme ideology; it is also a revealing symptom of deep vulnerabilities. These vulnerabilities are tied to societal, familial, and individual dynamics characterized by a symbolic deficiency and a crisis of authority. The findings emphasize the need to rethink the structures of authority, taking into account the impact of transgenerational traumas and prompting deep reflection on the potential influence of media in the alienation of young people. It is a call for empathy, ethics, humanity, dialogue, and a critical and constructive analysis of the unseen forces shaping young people's identification in our hypermodern society

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe aim of this thesis was to better understand the skip that allows peers to solve interpersonal conflicts. Two studies have been done in several primary schools, secondary schools and junior high school. Three hundred and twenty-one children and adolescents participated to individual interviews on the comparison between ordinary conflicts and important conflicts. And four hundred sixty-three participated to self report for questionaries on the skips to negociate conflicts. Results show that differences exist between characteristics of ordinary conflicts and important conflicts ; we also found differences between the topics of these conflicts. Links between temperament and interpersonal negotiation strategies are not obvious, neither is the developmental aspect of these strategies. But links exist between reputation, the type of relationships between people and the choice of the interpersonal negotiation strategy

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleIn order for preventative action to be taken on the alcohol risk that endangers many adolescents, we must first define the dangers that put this age group at risk. Under these conditions, it would not be coherent to highlight this age group as a privileged target for parties involved in prevention given that alcoholism and its installation is not proved as being a potential risk. Henceforth, our comments will focus on risk reduction policies. Alcoholism is a particularly misleading process that can take a hold of subject well before any eventual alcoholic illness sets in. Whereas it is not widely accepted that alcoholism in adolescents leads to alcoholic illness, this is no doubt because the representation of alcoholism and the alcoholic subject requires serious and honest questioning. This research proposes a new educational intervention tool that will enable adolescents to question their relationship to alcohol above and beyond traditional rites of passage or festive experiences

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe thesis is based on an analysis of the representations, the values and the models of adolescence. And also of the representations made by the adults about the adolescents. This work is based empirically on 3 studies made at 3 differents periods in the time of one generation: the first one made in 1960, directed by e. Morin, ask to a national sample of adolescents to define and to explain their values and models from their preferentials choices of characters chosen in differents registers (litterature, cinema, medias, history and also their family circles). The 2nd study do the same ten years after to investigate on "the generation of may 68". The purpose is to understand progressively the evolution of models, values and attitudes. The third study (1975-78) try the same through individuals and collectives interviews; and it is a third stage in the time. Our "problematic" is: to study adolescence from its representations of figures that can made identifications for it permit to precise its values, attitudes, models and aspirations, its choices about politics or society, its culturals practices; the work, adding anthropology and psychoanalysis to sociolo gy define concepts: adolescence, socials representations, identification

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis thesis studies the reactions, representations and affects caused by the practices of self-injury by adolescents hospitalized in psychiatry. It is based on a critical and historical analysis of the psychiatric and psychoanalytical literature and on a 9-month ethnographic field study in a psychiatric unit of long term hospitalization. During this field study, 36 non-directive research interviews have been conducted with caregivers, patients and the parents of these patients. These interviews were recorded, transcribed and analyzed according to the methodology of the grounded theory. The representation of self-injuring patients in the scientific literature is very similar to the feelings expressed by caregivers confronted with self-injury and revolves around four main notions: trauma, deficit, control and aggression. Rather than locating the origin of the feelings triggered by self-injury only within the patients (a psychological perspective), or only within the caregivers (a sociological perspective), this study shows that these feelings are aroused by the encounter between an adolescent and a caregiver around the self-injury.When it is not limited to a disembodied repetition, this encounter induces in all the protagonists back an ambivalent desire of body plasticity at the intrapsychic level and an intimate, perfect and preverbal communication at the intersubjective level. Nevertheless, at the same time, the clinical scene of the self-injury recalls the deficiency and the alterity of each of the protagonists and, above all, the failure, frightening and necessary, of the Nebenmensch (near human being).Faced with the intrapsychic and intersubjective wavering provoked by the scarification, both in the adolescent and in the supposed caregiver, it is the existence of reflective and debating spaces and the capacity to show oneself as "defective enough", much more than the belief in a universal and deficient etiology, that allows the clinical encounter to become a field of (inter)subjective construction rather than a terrain of struggle, of control and normative subjugation

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe thesis examines teenagers sexual reliationships taking into account processes of normative and micro-social regulation of sexual experience. This form of social control is exerted through the exchange of stories rather than by explicit prescriptions or proscriptions. Stories exchanged within the peer group constitute normative references which represent a plurality of possible evolutions for sexual relationships, and focus on questions of "timing". From the perspective of social representation theory, the research describes patterns of temporal organisation of relationships as being embedded in social narrative (re)constructions. In the first part of the thesis, we considere the applications of "stories of reference" in the context of aids prevention and estimation of partnership sequences. In the second part, we examine the role of temporality in the study of interpersonal relationships, and propose to include in this domain a form of social thought which manifests itself as narrative. The third part presents a multi-methodological approach associating quantitative and qualitative research. We first propose the analysis of "relationship history calendars" collected from a national representative sample of youth from ages 15-18 in France (N=6182). Then a qualitative development of results is undertaken through a two phase biographical interview based on relationship histories. Results show 6 configurations of temporal organisation of teenagers sexual relationships. These quantitative observations are associated with specific socially constructed "plots". "Stories of reference" also function as normative clarifications of ambiguous sentiments and situations. They are referred to in order to objectify subjective dimensions of relationship experience according to socially shared temporal frameworks, thus allowing one's own experience to become communicable and even commensurable with the experience of others

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis work aims to shed light on the reasons for youths living in urban and rural Cameroon, not protecting themselves against HIV/AIDS. It explains how these well informed young people, at times paradoxically behave in a context of misunderstandings, or carry out practices that go against HIV/AIDS protection and prevention values they support. In-depth interviews, focus groups discussions and observations were conducted with young men and women aged 15-24 years. In addition to the fieldwork, data from the Cameroonian Demographic and Health Survey (2004) were used as macro indicators. Research results indicate that their exposure to the AIDS pandemic has to do particularly with, among other factors, having more than one sexual partner, not using preventive methods (full-contact), or not using them on a regular basis; ignoring one's serologic status and that of the partner. These risky practices rely on several types of logic, which are mutually inclusive:'cultural logic, logic of interactions, and economic logic. When risky behaviours, adopted by these youths go against the strong values of fidelity and protection to which they subscribe, they then make use of rationalization in order to solve the contradiction. In this attempt, several techniques are used (selecting information, explaining by using contingent features, denying, playing down the risk, etc. ). The locus of control, which is constructed among the majority of these youths in terms of exteriority, pushes them to underestimate the role of the social actor in prevention. The belief in Conspiracy theory, good luck, bad luck, God, fate, witchcraft, ancestral vengeance and punishment, strong blood, cheap condoms, become so many uncontrollable powers, which intervene in their lives and expose or protect them against evil and/or HIV AIDS. Perceived externally, these beliefs seem irrational. However, they make sense for its followers

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleIn the second half of the 20th century, family education was at the heart of numerous sociological studies, most of them focused on school or delinquency. Since the beginning of the 1990s, these studies are fewer, which may seem paradoxical considering the debates on this topic in French society. The success of reality TV shows such as Super Nanny reveals the fascination exerted by such topics as a “good” education or a “bad” parent. This imperative of an educational “success” is linked to the central place of children in the society and in the family. Are families equal when facing this new demand for educational achievement ? Often addressed in the middle of the 1970s, the problematic of the differences between social classes is rarely studied today. The success of the argument of the homogenisation of educational values and practices – according to which parents’ educational styles are more and more alike, no matter their social position – has gradually led to the neglecting of this research issue. And yet, the sociology of the family cannot do without a reflexion about the way intimate life reveals, produces and is shaped by social inequalities. That is the major intention of this thesis, which – through the strategies adopted by parents in order to prevent juvenile risks and through their reactions to the acting out questions – questions the resources and effective possibilities of teenagers’ parents facing a period of time sometimes presented as the best in life, and sometimes as the one of all dangers

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe prospect representations and the intentions concerning school and professional guidance of the A-level pupils in the Corrèze region are determinated by their secondary education, by their social and cultural background, by their sex and by the school choices and the employment situation which are locally offered. The A-level section, the age and the school results imply more or less ambitious future intentions, according to the selective entry and how long the studies last. But for the same school level, the pupils belonging to lower social and cultural backgrounds and the girls have more cautious post A-level intentions. .

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThesis proposes a sociological approach to self-injury practices, a matter which is traditionally studied by psychology. This practice is defined as deliberate and repetitive self-inflicted injury, which is socially stigmatized and performed in order to relieve oneself of some kind of malaise this is done without any conscious suicidal, sexual or esthetical intentions. The empirical material is mostly composed of repeated in depth interviews with adolescents and young adults who were recruited in online forums and mental health establishments. Following a methodological discussion on the particularities of these fields of investigation, the analysis is presented around two main lines. First, I provide a concrete description of how self-injury occurs in regard to the life trajectories of the affected individuals, the everyday occurrence of this behavior, and the practical modalities of such acts. Second, the search for some "social conditions" of self-injury is the crux of the analysis. Individual case studies elaborate the three dimensions of self-harming practices -secrecy, deviance and self-aggressivity -which contribute to its effectiveness and relative choice. This perspective leads to a sociological interpretation where self-injury is considered in light of the social positions into families of the subjects, the issue being crucial in their school lives, their social belonging, as well as in their corporeal experiences and gender identities. This thesis provides a reflection on the social circumstances which facilitate the recourse to self -injury. It leads to an examination of such practices as a technique of self-control

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis research is based on a double questioning about the social phenomena of adolescence and youth. First, a critical reflection on the use of the notions of adolescence and youth by sociology leads us to develop, relying in particular on the contributions of other disciplines such as psychoanalysis, an anthropological approach to the juvenile condition. Then it is defined at the articulation of the general process of emergence to "principle of otherness", which marks anthropologically the exit of childhood, and the social conditions of exercise of this process. From here we report on the singularity of the contemporary experience of youthfulness through the example of festive practices and psychoactive substances uses. The social universe of festive youthful practices, particularly marked by the staging of excess, appears as a major area of socialization of the younger generations. While it may have a function to symbolize the break with the world of childhood that accompanies entry into adolescence, it is not or little effective in the process of aggregation to the adult world

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis thesis emerges from violent acts clinical situations to Youth Judicial Protection Service, and leads us to narcissistic conflict clinical situations. A broader excursion into eight clinical supports of adolescents in penal framework illustrates this clinical situation, support of modelling. The inaugural issue on this research studies is to model a clinical support consultation for these adolescents, as are frequently heard that they haven’t a demand for mental care. The prospect is to receive and transform “commettage”, subjective langage of violent act, resulting of infant distress, weaved with transgenerational heritage and psychic readjustments characteristic of adolescence.Intrapsychic and intersubjective roots of “commettage” are looked at it from three perspectives : paradox and narcissistic issues ; disorder of containing function ; traumatism and latent depression. The theorical focus informs of the fundamental violence (Bergeret) effects to adolescents-professionals intersubjective links ; to professionalism and established groups.Subjectivity raw fragments of these adolescents are expelled through and in violent act, into extern psychic extern scene of clinical support. They move in a transferential and countertransferential movement. Projective identification, unconscious alliances and phoric function give an understanding of circulation process of subjectivity raw fragments into three psychic spaces (Kaës).Transdisciplinary approach constitutes a substance of clinical support. This clinical posture maintains ethic, democracy and humor, democratic factor that protect narcissism. This state of mind and methodology is couples to three reliance operators of complex thinking (Morin) : dialogic, recursive loop, hologram principle.Small group of transdisciplinary meeting (SGTM) gathers adolescent, educator and service psychologist : borders are decompartmentalized into not hierarchical relationships, but preserving subjective singularity. This clinical posture receives the effect of intersubjective and disciplinary borders dilution. This dilution ties with trans-subjective (Wainrib) share of link, particularly expanded into clinical situations of violent act and narcissistic conflict. These meetings, co-thought with adolescent (duration, frequency), unfold themselves in form of ordinary conversations (Winnicott). The issue is to bring together hic et nunc subjectivity raw fragments, expelled by the adolescent hic et ubique into interinstitutional scene.Supporting the idea that if the adolescent is absent physically, he isn’t subjectively, the transdisciplinary meeting takes place in the presence of or without the adolescent. This clinical support in the absence replies to psychic portage disorder into primary links, and drives a work of absence.Transdisplinary groupality, which emerges over meetings, has effects of extern containing, then intern containing through support link introjection. Finally, violent acts are appeased and subjectivation process can restart.Into this consultation, the clinical support of these adolescents can get to export of transdisciplinary state of mind into interinstitutional scene. Clinical modelling defines this scene as a psychic singular and plural scene, characteristic at each adolescent, with intern groups, interstitial scenes and envelope. The intern interinstitutionals groups (IIG) constitute the organizers of groupality of interinstitutional psychic scene. These IIG are groupal meetings that emerge inside clinical support. The SGTM is one of them. These IIG have articular function between interinstitutional, institutional et intrapsychic scenes and, function of metapsychic and metasocial guarantor (Kaës)

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleAbstract The goal of this research is to study how French-speaking conservative protestants from Quebec evaluate the compatibility between their religious beliefs and the laws and regulations limiting corporal punishment of children. The specific issue is how they resolve eventual conflicts between their beliefs derived from the Bible and the legal framework. Several verses from the Bible, in particular Proverbs 22:15, prescribe corporal punishment with a rod in order “to drive it far from him” a supposedly innate child’s inclination to evil. Hence, many members of conservative Protestant groups use objects (wooden spoons, sticks, rods) to inflict corporal punishment to their children. This practice puts them in contravention of article 43 of the Canadian Criminal Code, which limits and frames the use of physical punishment, as well as with Quebec’s Youth Protection Act, that protects children from mistreatment, or whose security or development is or may be in danger. The study applies a hybrid qualitative methodology based on a series of non- participant observations in situ of the religious services and doctrinal workshops at four conservative protestant congregations (two Evangelical churches, a Pentecostal one and a Baptist one) and interviews with 39 French-speaking members of such congregations from Quebec. Observations and interviews were supplemented with documentary analysis of material written or consulted by these groups. From the analysis of the data, we derived three different attitudes of the protestant groups considered in the study when contradiction arises between religious doctrine and the law: conciliation, with an effort to accommodate religious beliefs to the precepts of the law; omission, which results in a passive disobedience of the law, and a challenging attitude vis-à-vis the authorities where disobedience to the laws is considered a form of militancy. Different elements are taken into consideration in the decision-making process that leads to the different attitudes. In addition to its original goals, the research constitutes a detailed description of the doctrine of corporal punishment of children by conservative protestant French- speaking congregations from Quebec and several examples of its practices.
