Der volle Inhalt der QuelleIn order to understand what leads individuals to create new ventures, entrepreneurship researchers use intention models in their studies for decades. The most famous are the Theory of Planned Behavior of Azjen and the Entrepreneurial Event of Shapero and Sokol. However, these models are still perfectible. In fact, they stem from the fact that intentions predict behaviors, but only less than half of variance of entrepreneurial behaviors is explained by intention. Moreover, intention models only focus on the antecedents of intention. So the motivational part (why one acts) is addressed, but the volitional part (how to pursue actions) remains set aside. Our thesis, composed of four pieces of work, aims at addressing this gap in order to improve our understanding of the entrepreneurial process. Our objective is to shed light on facilitators that can lead from intentions to effective action. We thus took on the challenge of unveiling part of the missing links between entrepreneurial intention and behavior. We selected commitment and implementation intention in the socio-psychological literature as being the possible missing links, and we test them in entrepreneurial contexts. Thus by focusing on the volitional part, our thesis completes the intention models in order to improve our knowledge of the entrepreneurial process. It has implications for intended entrepreneurs themselves, politicians, educators and incubators. Indeed, they could use what we have learnt about commitment and implementation intention to enhance the entrepreneurial intention conversion rate. Generally speaking, our goal is to propose new materials to help intended entrepreneurs to enact their intentions. However, the size of our samples limits our empirical studies to exploratory papers. Further researches should now test our findings quantitatively

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleDuring a very long time Entrepreneurship was based solely on economic factors such as research and development (R&D), innovations, appropriate infrastructures, new applied technologies, an efficient banking system, and so on. Yet other factors are even more important when it comes to understanding the dimensions which are intrinsically relevant to entrepreneurial decision-making. And among them culture occupies a central place which cannot be overshadowed. Indeed, while some populations’cultural traits positively characterize their behavior and thus would play a role in their countries’ economic development, other cultural traits, instead of being promising, rather consist in handicaps to the economic growth of so-called underdeveloped countries. In this category, those with Black African culture seem to be the most affected. Haiti is one of the countries of the Western Hemisphere, more precisely of the Caribbean basin, which seem to be part of this category, from the black-African cultural traits which are bequeathed to it during the whole colonial period. All this was previously proved by a set of theoretical and empirical research works. However, in order to bring some necessary insights to the results of this work and especially to broaden our field of research in terms of performance and sustainable socio-economic development of Haiti, this thesis aims rather to try to empirically model the sociocutural behaviors of Haitian entrepreneuriat. In this sense, she’s looking to build an theorical reference model which can enable us to statistically and econometrically verify the influence of sociocultural behaviors on he intentions of entrepreneurial and non-entrepreneurial Haitian assets to create a company in the short term or to embark on a medium-term or long-term project in an entrepreneurial project in their own birth region

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleFoundations in entrepreneurship place the entrepreneur as the essential actor in the entrepreneurial process: he is the one who promotes the identification of opportunities, creates and develops an organization and promotes the degree of innovation in the company, hoping to create the value (Aldrich, 2005 ; Verstraete & Fayolle, 2005). Due to the wide diversity of its action fields, we have chosen to specifically target our micro-enterprise research (MIC) at a specific time in the creative process: post-birth. What activities constitute the role of the entrepreneur and the difficulties he encounters in his business? Why only 4% of 5-year-old companies create jobs (Taugourdeau & Verdier, 2013)? This research responds to socio-economic issues such as: fostering the entrepreneurial spirit, creating the jobs of tomorrow and increasing the dynamism of the economic fabric (Assises de l’entrepreneuriat, 2013).The theoretical framework is based on three theories which, by their complementarity, offer an innovative perspective to this research. Based on a structured approach to the overall and sustainable performance of the company, based on Socio-Economic Theory (TSE) (Savall, 1974 ; Savall & Zardet, 1987), we propose to construct a Dysfunctional Architecture Micro-Enterprise (ADME), which allows a thorough analysis of its internal environment. We then experiment and measure the malfunctioning financial implications of these MICs. The TSE, through its intervention methodology, aims at a wish for change in the company and reveals the need for skills development and changes in professional behavior (Savall et al., 2015). Thus, we approach the field of entrepreneurial cognition, observed from the notion of "attitude". The set of different kinds of attitudes can form our conception of the Cognitive Strategic Configuration of the Entrepreneur (CSCE), inspired by the Theory of Planned Behavior (TCP) (Ajzen, 1987, 1991) and then expanded from the field of entrepreneurial cognition (Grazzini & Boissin, 2013 ; Mitchell et al., 2002, 2007 ; Shapero & Sokol, 1982). The CSCE offers a deeper insight into the belief structures from which the entrepreneur takes decisions and acts (Grazzini & Boissin, 2013). It explains the extent to which socio-economic intervention influences the intention of change and then the entrepreneur behavior. In addition, a relationship can be forged between the TCP and the competency approach based on the entrepreneur's attitudes. The theory of competence, adapted to the field of entrepreneurship (Bird, 1995 ; Chandler & Jansen 1992;Lans et al., 2010;Man & Lau 2000 ; Toutain & Fayolle, 2008) recognizes the tripod: knowledge, practices (know-how) and attitudes. The CSCE can represent a know-how analysis framework that deepens the characteristics that can influence the entrepreneurial actions. Finally, the relation established with the TSE is proposed on the basis of the cost-value activities model (Savall & Zardet, 2008) which connects competence to an activity. We propose and experiment the entrepreneurial activities nomenclature, representative of the practices and knowledge which are necessary for the entrepreneurial process, all integrated into three roles: entrepreneurial, managerial and technical-functional (Chandler & Jansen, 1992).Empirical research was conducted in two stages. The first stage, exploratory, comprises 43 people interviewed, different actors of entrepreneurship. The second is an intervention–research with 16 MICs in the post-birth phase. Thus, the research central problem was: How to implement a methodology of accompanying to modify the intention of the entrepreneur with the actions that he carry out in the company?

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleCurrently the use of active pedagogies in entrepreneurship education is strongly supported by international political and educational institutions. Among scientific articles that promote the learning by doing approaches, experiential learning theory shows that the acquisition and transformation of experience take a central place in the process of knowledge elaboration. This theory also raises a key question around the way it may influence the cognitive setting of the learner and the emergence of his/her own learning strategies. We know that these learning strategies are strongly dependant on mental activities that rely on cognitive education and Metacognition. The contributions of our thesis are twofold. First, we propose a conceptual model of experiential learning in entrepreneurship which results of an attempt to integrate four theories useful to understand the entrepreneurial action. Our second contribution is based on the results of an empirical survey made with a sample of 423 students in the area of Lyon. These results show us the significant effect of experiential learning on perception changes among the students. Moreover, they confirm the role of both Metacognition and experiential learning in entrepreneurship education

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleFaced with both the collective challenges, in terms of economic and social development of communities and countries; and individual challenges to the business creators, support systems have gradually imposed representing, since the 80s, a general reality in Europe and particularly in France.Among the practices of business support systems, our interest in this research is focused on the entrepreneurial support phenomenon. First approached from a more technical and collective approach focused on results, entrepreneurial support becomes a practical support to business creation which is based on an interpersonal influence relationship established between an entrepreneur and an external actor to the creation project and on an action process based on multiple learning and skills development. If all support contributions in the current state of entrepreneurship research help to a better entrepreneur’s success, in our research we are particularly interested in the other "hidden facet" of the support relationship whish are accompanists themselves and the problematic of what is learned by these professional actors from their practices in business support structures. We, therefore, asked the question: To what extent the entrepreneurial support experiences of accompanists affect their experiential learning outcomes and individual and organizational behaviors in “Réseau Entreprendre” (Entrepreneurship Network) ®?To address this problem, we mobilized the experiential learning theory (Kolb, 1985) as a reference model of our research. The meeting between the two fundamental concepts of our research, namely, entrepreneurial support and more specifically, the accompanist and Kolb's experiential learning theory (1984) enabled us to build our conceptual model relating four main variables. These variables are associated with entrepreneurial support experiences, individual characteristics of accompanists, the experiential learning outcomes and, finally, individual and organizational behavior changes.By adopting a quantitative methodology we administered a questionnaire to a sample of 205 entrepreneurs of creation project in 38 Entrepreneurship Network associations in France. The results of our quantitative analyzes are obtained from SPSS software and provide a better understanding of the accompanist learning cycle in general and in “Entrepreneurship Network” structures in particular. The implications and contributions of our research are theoretical, methodological and practical

After twenty years of practice in the job seeking industry in this department on the loocking, carer orientation via sessions provided by A.N.P.E. with job seeking applicants; i felt the needs to study the reasons of the non employment status. This work enabled me to better apprehend the difficulties of any kind of the applicants for work, but mainly the psychological difficulties caused by the individuals. Which is the operating process of the applicant for work? Does he take on him all the difficulties on Earth so he agrees these are the reasons not to find what he seeks or does he do as if nothing of that exists. Lack of diploma, the ethnic origin, a dismissal not understood, the age, the sex, the place of the residence, the type of experiment, the number of employers, the time passed without employment, the lack of knowledge of a particular context..., all perhaps a handicap. The active search for an employment implies to undergo refusal which can be lived like repeated failures. What makes it possible for some to immediately find an employment? What places in front of others the increasingly insurmountable obstacles causing the lack of participation in the competition resulting in abandon? To study further more and understanding the various difficulties, it seemed useful to me to inspire my work with the one of Gregory Bateson which clarified: the logical levels of thethought and their mechanism

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleLong term family fortune preservation is a matter of human behavior; it is a dynamic process of activity or group governance that has to be reenergized successfully in each successive generation to overcome the threat of falling into entropy. Each successive generation has to reaffirm its participation in such government system.Family enterprises are the fundamental actors of the economic activity, and also constitute a stability factor of the productive system, because the majority of them is small or medium-sized (SMEs), and that is why it is interesting to investigate their financial behavior. There is little knowledge concerning financing decisions of enterprises on emerging markets. There is a particular need of empirical work that identifies the financial patterns of developing countries enterprises. It is possible that these enterprises are creating a new financial structure that results convenient for their particular environment

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis thesis comprises four empirical essays on innovation and entrepreneurship using firm-level microdata. The proliferation of such data has led to greater understanding of the underlying drivers and dynamics of economic growth at the macro level, enabling enhanced and evidence-based public policy. The main contribution of the thesis resides in the use of new survey data across different contexts with enhanced questions on firm innovation activities. These questions were modeled on the Oslo Manual Guidelines published jointly by the OECD and Eurostat to foster an internationally recognized methodology for business innovation statistics. Micro-econometric and program evaluation methods guided the analysis. Chapter 1 examines the relationship between innovation and performance for a sample of over 30,000 firms in developing countries from recent surveys collected by the Enterprise Survey Unit of the World Bank. We find that returns to innovation are positive and large but vary substantially according to innovation type and degree of novelty. Moreover, R&D plays a more pronounced role for radical innovation. Utilizing the same dataset, chapter 2 investigates the relationship between innovation and employment. Our analysis highlights the role of product innovation as the main channel for employment creation. We also found a lack of negative impact from process innovation, potentially due to a skill composition effect. Chapter 3 concerns the effects of innovation and financing on both survival and growth for a sample of roughly 4,000 firms in the United States based on an 8-year survey launched in 2004 and overlapping with the Great Recession of 2008-2009. Firms in the high-tech sector are more likely to survive; they display an inverted U-shaped exit rate. While initial financing levels positively affect survival, the effects are reversed during the Great Recession, underlining the role of financial dependence and the business cycle. Startups that introduce new products to market display higher growth rates. We investigate a potential mechanism whereby innovative firms are more likely to obtain additional rounds of external financing. The results highlight the role of incorporating direct measures of innovation for firm heterogeneity. In the final chapter, we study a sample of manufacturing firms in Italy to uncover drivers of firm R&D expenditures. We estimate a crowding-in effect of roughly thirty percentage points for firms that report cooperation with the university sector on R&D projects and contrast these findings in terms of the impact from fiscal subsidies such as tax credits. Findings of the thesis have relevance for public policy around innovation and entrepreneurship and for maximizing public sector returns on investment

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe relevance of a study on women entrepreneurs is the extent of female entrepreneurship. This research is a contribution to understanding the behavior of women entrepreneurs about management and business creation, in particular in the Tunisian context. The massive entry of women entrepreneurs in the business world raises the question of their integration into the business. A review of the literature shows that the majority of research raises the issue of female entrepreneurship in terms of differences or similarities between men and women entrepreneurs and their businesses. In this comparative perspective, there are two approaches to behavior of women entrepreneurs: a feminist approach for which the women approach the business differently from their male counterparts and an entrepreneurial approach that considers that the entrepreneurs of both sexes have the same perception and the same behavior in business. In an exploratory study, qualitative interviews conducted with 18 women entrepreneurs in Tunisia suggest that their behaviors are not typically male, nor typically female but they are rather hybrids. These results raise questions about the interest of the comparative perspective that looks for specific differences between men and women entrepreneurs, especially since the review of the literature on female entrepreneurship leaves place to a critical look on this comparative perspective with empirical studies that produce differentiated or even contradictory conclusions. The objective of this research is to clarify the debate that turns around the relationship of the sex and the behavior of women entrepreneurs. It proposes a comprehensive study of female entrepreneurship in Tunisia. Analysis of the results of qualitative interviews achieved in depth by 18 women entrepreneurs shows the diversity of women's entrepreneurship in Tunisia, unveils the hybrid nature of the behavior of women entrepreneurs about management and business creation and finds that their integration in the business community is through processes of construction and negotiation of their entrepreneur's identity

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe health of the leaders of SME (Small and Medium-sized Entreprise) degrades. Indeed, as underline it certains studies (INRA, 2010; Monitoring center AMAROK, 2012; MMA/Opinion Way, 2016), the uncertainty, the failures of finance or still the working overload, would be at the origin of the professional stress which would cause chronic troubles. However, only a boss on ten would adduce a sick leave (work stoppage). In this context, Olivier TORRES in 2009 creates the AMAROK observatory and launches a vast research program which are interested in the contributions of an initiative health in the science of management and more particularly centered on the person of the leader of SME. Indeed, since a few years, the steps of prevention health in the work arouse an interest growing on behalf of public authorities and are registered from now on to the rank of the homework of the leader to his employees. However, the studies being interested in the health of the leaders of SME remain random. Joining the lineage of the developments of authors as RICH (1998), TORRES and al. (2012) HERCBERG (2013), our analysis so invites to consider the question of the health of the leader of SME one responsible management tool. We mobilize the works on the specificities which characterize the world SME (MARCHESNAY, on 1981, on 1993; JULIEN, on 1994; MAHE OF BOISLANDELLE, on 1996; TORRES, on 1997, on 1998, on 1999; FONROUGE, on 2002), on the imprint of the environment (DUVIGNAUD, on 1977; FISCHER, on 2011; TORRES on 2012), the work and the health (LESAGE, on 2012;), as well as the modernity of the food practices (FISCHLER, on 1990; GAUDILLIERE on 2001; FOAL, on 2002).In this doctoral work, we try on one hand to understand to what extent determiners caractérisants the job by leader of SME influential on its food practices, and on the other hand to determine the causalities on his health and that of his company. On the methodological plan, this work joins first of all in an exploratory study, leaning on the brought answers, following an investigation by questionnaires, by the sample of leaders of SME of the first cohort of the monitoring center AMAROK. The results of the exploratory study highlight the role of the identical markers and lead us to lead a comprehensive qualitative study, by developing the second key for reading considering the notions of time, well-being and performance.Four main results emanate from our search. First of all, we put forward that according to their identical markers, eating habits and of health different. The functional closeness of the leader places him in a posture at the same time of subject and object, bringing him to perceive the environment and the others in a specific way. In this context, we notice that the size of the company and the close entourage influence its food practices. Secondly, we identify that the food and compensatory practices of the leader impact on its health and vice versa. It seems that the leader of SME is globally sensitive to the pressures exercised by the civil society and the notion of risk. The third report, the factors bound to the jobs by leader of SME influence its health. We point at the noxious effects and "salutogènes" of the work on the physical and psychic health. Then, we identify that the leaders have a functional use of the food, which would adapt itself to the stoneware of their working overload, their state of mind and their kind. Finally, we propose a vision of the contribution of an approach uniting health of the leader of SME and management. Keywords: SME(SMALL AND MEDIUM-SIZED ENTERPRISE), health of the leader, the food practices, the paradox well-being / performance
