In the context of the new order that was started with the republic, the reforms of the alphabet, the language, and culture were especially important. As it is well-known, the Turkish Alphabet was accepted on November 1, 1928 and was based on the Latin Language. Then, on November 24, 1928, it was decided that schools with the name of “Schools of the Nation” would be opened to spread literacy and the new alphabet. The “Schools of the Nation”, for whom the president and the head teacher was Atatürk, started education on January 1, 1929. Those who graduated from these schools, which had two steps, were given literacy certificate. “Schools of the Nation” made over one million people acquire literacy in Turkey within a short time period. However, the education was limited in these existing educational institutions, and new institutions were needed. The Community Centers, which were founded in 1932, undertook important missions to serve this purpose. The Community Centers were indispensable corporate institutions of the literacy campaign in early period of Turkish Republic, and achieved remarkable success with the literacy courses they opened in The Community Courses and Courses Branch. Document analysis was used as a model in research.Document analysis model, which is one of the qualitative research methods, was used in order to evaluate the literacy courses and the results obtained in Bitlis and in the region. Because, according to the frequency of use as a data collection technique in qualitative research, observation and written documentation and documentation methods are used respectively. It was asked in the instructions sent to The Community Centers by the secretary general of the CHP that courses would be opened and every citizen who could not attend schools would be taught how to read in these areas. As it was the case all over the country, a literacy campaign was also started in Community Centerin Bitlis province, and these centers taught the locals how to read and write. Between 1932-1951, more than five thousand individuals learned to read and write in the Bitlis Community Center. Starting from this study made of the Early Republic Period community centers operating as formal education institutions in Turkey concluded that the impact on the literacy rate of the population.

Abstract: Community health centers present a challenge for evaluators because of their multiple and overlapping programs, variable client base, culturally diverse clientele, and nontraditional approach to health and wellness. This article provides an overview of the evaluation strategy adopted by a rural southwestern Ontario community health center to overcome these challenges. The purpose of the evaluation was to obtain a broad picture of the center’s internal dynamics, processes, and efficacy following its first two years of operation.

Annotation:
Community Health Centers (CHCs), designed to provide accessible and affordable health care services to low-income families, were first funded by the Federal Government as part of the War on Poverty in the mid-1960s. Improving healthcare organizational performance efficiency is paramount. It is an especially pressing need for CHCs' because they carry a disproportionate burden of caring for the uninsured within limited budgets. Prior studies suffer from conceptual and methodological limitations. A longitudinal multivariate analysis of factors influencing the performance of CHCs is needed. The purpose of this study is to benchmark CHC performance in terms of technical and cost efficiency, and examine factors that affect its variation. A theoretically grounded non-experimental study design is used, with five waves of panel data from 493 CHCs for the years 2000 through 2004. This study found that data mining and predictor tree analysis of factors influencing the variation in CHCs' technical and cost efficiency yielded inconsistent results. A declining trend in technical efficiency scores over the five-year study period was observed. Based on growth curve modeling, the three factors that influenced technical efficiency at the initial period of the study are: the percentages of Medicare, Medicaid, and Hispanic population being served by the CHCs. The five factors that positively influenced the variation in cost efficiency at the initial period were: the initial score of technical efficiency, the percentage of Hispanic patient population, staffing mix (ratio of providers to total staff), pay mix (ratio of federal grant dollars to total revenue), and percentage of Medicare-eligible. The initial cost-efficiency score and the initial technical efficiency score are negatively associated with the growth trend of technical efficiency. The initial level of technical efficiency is not statistically significantly associated with the growth trend of cost efficiency. The two factors influencing the growth trend of cost efficiency are the growth trend of technical efficiency (with a positive influence) and the initial level of cost efficiency (with a negative influence). Analysis of the effects of contextual and organizational-structural variables on the technical efficiency and cost efficiency of community health centers found that the explanatory power of the predictors is much greater for cost efficiency than for technical efficiency. The study lends support to contingency theory and confirms the independent and additive influences of contextual and organizational predictors on efficiency. Irrespective of the efficiency measures, contextual factors have much more influence on CHCs' efficiency than design (organizational structural) factors do. The three study hypotheses supported by multivariate analysis are: technical efficiency is associated with contextual factors and organizational factors; cost efficiency is associated with contextual factors and organizational factors; and technical efficiency positively affects cost efficiency.

University-based community design centers are unique in their position within a network of both academic and community relationships. While design centers follow different models, this paper applies an evaluative framework to one university-based community design practice that centers teaching and collaborative professional projects. This paper will unpack how the Detroit Collaborative Design Center (DCDC) operates within the School of Architecture (SOA) at the University of Detroit Mercy, offering educational oppor¬tunities for students to explore community-engaged design practice, as well as how the practice operates within a net¬work of community partners citywide on a range of projects and with an emphasis on collaboration. This paper seeks to identify and share outcomes associated with community design practice in terms of both student and community collaborator experience through an evolving evaluative practice. The paper includes perspectives from an evaluative framework currently under development and aims to illustrate and offer initial lessons for both the learning experience and collaborative design process. Overall, this research and paper aim to draw lessons from community design practice related to both pedagogy and partnerships, and where they intersect.

Based on the 2020 Community Service Program (KKN) team analysis, Pakembinangun Village has been planning tourism village development. Pakembinangun Village has yet to be visited by tourists visiting Kaliurang, even though it has natural resources suitable for tourism. The village also has complete health facilities and has long been known as a place of healing. Based on this analysis, healing tourism was chosen as the focus program. Healing tourism utilizes the potential of natural, artificial, and human resources to treat and improve physical, mental, spiritual, and social health. At present, truly holistic healing tourism has yet to be founded in Indonesia. This healing tourism development program aims to increase economic growth, improve people's welfare, increase business opportunities for the community, increase community involvement, build financial independence, and utilize natural and cultural resources. To achieve this goal, several methods used were observation, interviews, literature study, Focus Group Discussion, socialization, and student involvement through KKN. A growth center strategy model was used to realize this idea. The initial development strategy centered on one location (growth center) will spread growth to secondary and tertiary areas (production centers). Integrating governance for developing growth and production centers will produce a multiplier effect regarding quality, quantity, and sustainability. In addition, this strategic model will also encourage the emergence of superior product innovations in growth and production centers. The community involvement model is used to develop the services in Wijayakusuma Healing Park. The existence of these services opens up community business opportunities. It increases village incomes through visitor fees, healthy drinks, and food production by Farmer's Women Group or Kelompok Wanita Tani, tour guides, administrative officers, health checkers, gymnastics instructors, masseurs, accommodation provision, dance, etc.
