This paper deals with the chronology of choral singing in Aleksinac from the mid-19th century to the present day. Throughout this period, choral music has been continuously present and played a prominent role in cultural events in Aleksinac. The history of all church and secular choirs in Aleksinac is presented, from the founding of the Church of Saint Nikola in 1837 to the present.
