Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis dissertation is intended to map and classify the mechanisms that require more than 50% + 1 of the votes cast to make a decision effective. This study seeks to clarify what some have called "super majorities" or “qualified majorities” and distinguish between the different contexts in which these procedures are used. Why does a political community, in some instances, refuse to accept the notion that one extra vote suffices to constitute a collective decision? What types of decisions and which contexts warrant these "super majorities"? What are the conditions or requirements associated to them? These are some of the questions raised in this study, which portrays the diversity of mechanisms related to "super majorities".

Thesis, Nancy 2, 2007. http://www.theses.fr/2007NAN21020/document.
Der volle Inhalt der QuelleIn the first volume, we will broach the creation of the character on paper while differentiating, if possible, the original creations of "literary" characters' transpositions. From the biographical influences, the creation phenomenon will be dealt with as what is due to the rehearsals and filming (inscription of the character in his architectural and musical setting), moments of maturation and delivery after the conception on paper. It will enable us to approach some of the permanent features of the characters before specifying the nesting aspect of the filmmaker's films and their interacting relationship. Our convition is that entering a coherent work such as Renoir's one can also be done by the description and the analysis of the characters. The second volume of this thesis draws up a comparative catalogue and a typology of the "renoirian" characters

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe autobiographical approach appears as a path to exploration and personal construction. During the Christian Antiquity, the "Confessions" by Saint Augustain offer the example of a self totally turned towards God in order to understand life. Writing recalls transcendence. In the Age of Enlightenment, the fundamental interrogation is not about God but about Man. Jean-Jacques Rousseau makes the autobiographical narrative appears as the revelation of a distinctive person. He explains in his "Confessions" how to take over one's life. In the 19th century, George Sand in "The story of my life" and Marie d'Agoult in her "Memoirs, memories and diaries" try to change people's mores and the education of girls. In the 20th century, the various literary forms taken on by personal experience are replaced by stories of lives. The autobiographical approach is not formative experience any more becomes a scientific means of training
Darchino, Stefano. „« Cinema demenziale » : catégorisation et réception critique italienne du cinéma comique américain des années 1970 aux années 1980“. Electronic Thesis or Diss., Paris 8, 2022. http://www.theses.fr/2022PA080068.
Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis research focuses on the use of the category cinema demenziale (literally “demented cinema”) by Italian reviewers with respect to four American films, initially qualified as “comedies” for their release in theaters in the late 1970s and early 1980s: Animal House (1978), 1941 (1979), Airplane! (1980), and The Blues Brothers (1980). This new category was influenced by the turbulent political context in Italy at the time, with critics interpreting these films as subversive and dissident. Roberto Silvestri, the principal inventor of cinema demenziale, defined it as a left-wing cinema. A methodology applying Janet Staiger’s “historical materialist approach to reception studies” casts light on the cultural and political background to the construction and emergence of this category in the press. Particularly important in this account are the movement of 1977 (the most intense wave of protests and social movements in Italy since 1968-1969), the publication of the Italian edition of Mikhail Bakhtin’s book on François Rabelais, and the critical reception of the four feature films. We also retrace the development of cinema demenziale from the 1980s to the present era, where the term is still well-known and in common use; for instance, we examine in detail various Italian publications’ proposals to extend the grouping to include a larger corpus of films. This first doctoral dissertation on cinema demenziale explores movies and critical texts that have thus far received little scholarly attention

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis research studies the singing named khap of Tai Dam ethnic group in Laos, through the notion of musical model. Its main objective, approached with the concept of relevance, is the highlight of the competences linked to the singing, that is to say the abstract knowledge needed for the interpretation and the categorisation of the singing. The principle of musical model is the common theme of this research, and is the starting point of every chapter. Starting from musical considerations, the PhD highlights the mechanisms of musical transmission, the relationships between spoken and musical tones, as well as the different mechanisms of musical categorisation and identity categorisation. This work shows the interweaving of every of those aspects and the relevance of using different disciplines: musicology, anthropology and linguistic. The different lines of this work are approached with a perspective mobilising etic and emic perspectives and by the development of a methodology adapted to the specificities of the topic
Guerin, Olivia. „Nomination et catégorisation des realia exotiques dans les récits de voyage (Afrique noire, de la fin du 18e siècle à 1960) : une approche sémantico-discursive“. Thesis, Paris 3, 2011. http://www.theses.fr/2011PA030085/document.
Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe present study explores how reference is constructed in the discursive genre specifiedas travel narrative. A hallmark of the genre is a common posture towards the production of thetext where enunciator-travellers are placed in an asymmetric context between language and cultureand have to give an account of realia (natural species, artefacts, social practices) which are not systematically lexicalized in their own languages or for which they do not have naming competence. They thus tend to present referencing as problematic. In order to describe how incontext enunciators manage to reference “against all odds”, the present dissertation analysesnaming and categorization procedures of exotic realia in a corpus of travel accounts by Frenchtravellers to Black Africa in the colonial period. A discursive semantics is set up based on thepatterning of the three orders, language, textuality and discourse. The present work first builds upa typology of naming patterns implemented in the corpus and is able to show that discursivepractices concerned with naming rest on the language as a system. This first referencing procedureis followed by sequential operations to delimit categories; textual constraints on this secondprocedure are shown up. There follows the analysis of the discursive effects that result from theuse of such linguistic resources and this is done through articulation with the generic dimensionand the enunciative and ideological stances. Finally the analytic tools that have been devised areapplied to the characterization of specific discursive processes in two contrasting texts from thecorpus
Lesne, Anna. „La fabrique des identités aux Antilles "françaises" : Discours savants, discours littéraires, rayons des bibliothèques“. Thesis, Aix-Marseille 1, 2011. http://www.theses.fr/2011AIX10184.
Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis work analyzes identitarian discourses among writers from the French Caribbean, in particular Aimé Césaire, Edouard Glissant, Maryse Condé, Patrick Chamoiseau and Raphaël Confiant. Around the central question of the geographical ensembles outlined in their discourses on man (Negro, Black, West Indian or Creole), I examine the context of their production, their implications, their performative dimension and the ways in which these discourses can influence collective representations. I focus in particular on the relations between writers and anthropologists. Certain writers promote native and artistic perception, and stress the cognitive efficacy of literary writing without however disqualifying scientific discourse. The spaces of belonging they set out are linked to mappings proposed by literary scholars and social scientists (notably Herskovits, Bastide, Leiris, Benoist, Chaudenson, Hall, Gilroy). I show that their « original geographies » cannot be reduced to Césaire’s conception of African West Indies, Condé’s Black world, the Creolity movement’s Creole world, or Glissant’s Archipelago. Linked to their conceptions of identity and an increasing resistance to categorizations and to ethnicization by the other, the complexity and variability of their discourses reduce their impact, although it remains visible in the way that local collections in libraries are organized. The writers are concerned with the local diffusion of their discourse through direct interaction with the public, sometimes teaching, and the creation of literary prizes. Finally, I stress that their participation in literary evenings and other cultural events over the last twenty years testifies to their interest in the emergence of reader communities and in literary sociability as a means of reinforcing a sense of belonging
Neveux, Julie. „L’expression linguistique du concret chez John Donne : le sentiment dans la langue“. Thesis, Paris 4, 2010. http://www.theses.fr/2010PA040063.
Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis dissertation studies poetic meaning using linguistic tools. It offers a cognitive, phenomenological and enunciative definition of the distinction between the abstract and the concrete, based on statistics carried out on work of the metaphysical poet, John Donne (1572-1631): Meditations upon Emergent Occasions and The Complete English Poems. I argue that the “concrete” is the result of indirect – implied, unsemiotized – lyricism, a form of lyricism used by the poet when s/he is emotionally implicated in a speech situation. The speaker’s expressivity relies on a temporal decategorization enabling him to (implicitly) claim that generalized (abstract) terms are insufficient to articulate the specificity of his own sentimental experience. Words in –ness – grammatical metaphors – result from a grammatical decategorization, while traditional metaphors derive from a lexical decategorization. Metaphors reflect the affect of the incarnate speaker, who thus repossesses language. Lastly, I understand John Donne’s poetry – hinging on metaphors and comparisons, concrete and abstract elements – as expressing a working of feelings, which is the strongest when the feeling is religious and needs to make up for the absence of the beloved
