Annotation:
The subject of this article is the problem of the antinomy of longevity and temporality in architecture. Excluding the so-called temporary structures, man designs and creates buildings with the assumption of their longevity. This presupposition is not undermined by architectural concepts, exposing functional and spatial solutions, opened to potential flexibility – variability. Also, ultra-modern designs of "self-adapting" architecture to the changing conditions of the context assume, indeed, the extension of its "vitality" – longevity. The aim of the research synthesis presented in the article is to specify the criteria which in shaping architecture make it possible to overcome the tension inherent in the antinomy of longevity and temporality. These analyzes, summarized with conclusions, were carried out in two complementary approaches: theoretical: based on the characteristics of the relationship between architecture and time, with particular emphasis on their exposure in the Christian sacred architecture; practical: based on the case study of the sequence of transformations of the church of St. Joseph Worker in Bytom over a period of approximately 100 years.

Abstract The author believes that if a designer has performed many design or research works entailing solutions to various problems, it is recommendable to consider and become aware of previously used methods whose application might have been unwitting or instinctive. The outcome of such reflection can be worth describing and recording in order to formulate a set of guidelines useful in the future. Such methods, being intuitive in nature, are often tied to the designer’s subconsciousness, thus are rarely expressed in a clear manner. By using own methods a designer can prove that space should be composed in a given way in order to address specific needs and defined objectives. All this is aimed at preventing accidental formation of space. An example of reasoning serving the aforementioned purpose can be found in a method referred to as CQC or Composition Quality Control, the application of which facilitates intentional shaping of an architectural piece of work.

The subject of the diploma thesis is to elaborate the design documentation of an apartment house with restaurant. The building is designed in the village of Lipůvka, South-Moravian region, on plot No.: 544/1 and 545/1 – cadastral region Lipůvka. The bulit-up area is 443,3 m2. There are four floors. There is restaurant, one housing unit (for persons with reduced mobility) and utility room in first above-ground floor. Second, third and fourth above-ground floor is for housing. Each of these three floors has three apartments – two apartments 3+k, one apartment 3+1. Entrance to every apartment is from main staircase. The building is based on the foundation walls of concrete C20/25, all vertical walls are from Porotherm System. Celings are composed of ceramic-conrete beams POT, ceramic insertion Miako and concrete. The staircase is monolithic reinforced concrete. The building is without basement, roofed by a warm flat roof.

This thesis summarizes my work on a new apartment building in Slovany, neighbourhood in Pilsen. My primary responsibility was to develop documentation for the project´s design and implementation. The building consists of four floors above ground, an underground floor and a flat roof. The building´s L-shaped plan, rebound 4th floor above ground and balconies lighten the mass of the building. The structural system of the building combined reinforced concrete system of the underground floor, column system of the 1st up to the 3rd floor above ground and wall system of the 4th floor above ground. The building is designed for six residential units with cellars, two garages, a relaxation room and a gym. The thesis includes the preparatory and study reports, architectural and construction solutions, and fire-safety building and construction site equipment solutions.

Abstract This diploma thesis deals with the design documentation of a block of flats. The block of flats is supposed to be situated in South Moravia, Znojmo district, in Olbramovice village, cadastral area no. 709930 – Olbramovice u Moravskeho Krumlova. The building is designed as a brick building with a contact thermal insulation system. Vertical constructions are designed from the Porotherm structural system. Horizontal constructions are designed as reinforced concrete structure. Foundation structures are designed from concrete. The object is roofed with a warm flat roof. The object has four floors. On the ground floor is technical hinterland and also one flat is designed to be barrier-free. The other floors are individual flats. There are ten flats in the building. Five flats have their own loggia and two flats have terrace. The building is newly built and it has a L-shaped plan.

The diploma thesis concerns my life project ZaBřehem and my activity in this project, which has the character of cooperation, organization, DIY, home design, web design, painting, crafts and over time also cultural organization and curation. The work goes through several components of the whole project and aims to defend the role of the artist in creating a new place that has the ambition to change the approach to people diagnosed with mental illness.
