El objetivo de este trabajo fue desarrollar un sistema de adquisición de datos meteorológicos en tiempo real utilizando un controlador lógico programable (PLC) como una alternativa dentro de las estaciones meteorológicas comerciales. Para sensar la: temperatura del aire, humedad relativa, radiación solar, precipitación, velocidad y dirección del viento, se usaron sensores comerciales, durante 2013, para probar la estación, en la estación meteorológica del Colegio de Postgraduados, Campus Montecillo. El sistema se compone de un PLC (modelo CX1020, marca Beckhoff), una Laptop donde se instaló una aplicación de monitoreo en tiempo real que se desarrolló en Visual Basic 2010 Express y la base de datos en MySQL para almacenar la información, que se puede usar para fines diversos. La interacción entre el PLC y la aplicación de monitoreo se realizó mediante comunicación inalámbrica Wi-Fi. Se usaron los programas TwinCAT System Manager (para la configuración del hardware) y TwinCAT PLC Control (para la programación del PLC). Se evaluó el funcionamiento del sistema al realizar comparaciones de las lecturas obtenidas de los sensores, contra instrumentos de referencia y sensores de una estación meteorológica Campbell Scientific. Los resultados indican que es factible el uso del PLC en la implementación de estaciones meteorológicas.

Inthis paper, a slave moduledesign adopted the backplane type iscarried out, based on in-depth study of the ET1200 chip and the Ebusprotocol, including a communication board EKM which regards PIC microcontrolleras microprocessor, a board EKS-IO which is used for digital IO expansion,and a stepping motor control boardEKS-S. Then the overall debuggingand application on a warehousedevice show that the EtherCAT slave controller meets the performance requirements of EtherCAT buscommunication, with better reliability and a certain practical value.

This thesis deals with rebuilding of a laboratory manipulator to 3D engraving machine. First part of the thesis describes the engraving technology and lists the most common types of engraving machines. Next, the initial state of the machine is analysed and modifications of mechanical and electrical equipment are suggested. Design, realisation of a control system and human machine interface are described. The Beckhoff TwinCAT programming environment is used. The last part of the thesis deals with practical realisation and commissioning of the machine. The results of the thesis can be used as an addition for lessons of Automation of Production Machines.

This research explores the Automation Interface created by Beckhoff through introducinga compiler solution. Today machine builders have to be able to build machinesor plants in different sizes and provide many variations of the machine orplant types. Automatic code generation can be used in the aspect to reuse code thathas been tested and is configurable to match the desired functionality. Additionally,the use of a pre-existing API could potentially result in less engineering resourceswasted in developing automatic code generation. This thesis aims to evaluate theAutomation Interface (AI) tool created by Beckhoff. This is accomplished throughmeans of incorporating the API functions into a compiler solution. The solution isdesigned to export the information required through an XML-file to generate PLCapplications.The generated PLC-code will be in Structured Text. In order to createa functional PLC-application, the construction of software requirements and testcases are established. The solution is then validated by means of generating a dataloggerto illustrate the usage. The exploratory research revealed both the benefitsand cons of using AI to a compiler solution. The evaluation indicated that the AutomationInterface can reduce engineering effort to produce a compiler solution, butthe learning curve of understanding the underlying components that work with theAPI required a great deal of effort.

L'elaborato tratta l'applicazione del metodo di diagnostica predittiva model of signal based ai dati delle vibrazioni di una macchina automatica. La vibrazioni della macchina sono state rappresentate per mezzo di modelli autoregressivi (AR) e per la stima dei parametri è stato utilizzato il metodo dei minimi quadrati. Per il confronto tra i modelli della macchina in funzionamento nominale e quelli in condizioni anomale, sono stati utilizzati vari indici di similarità, tra i quali, gli indici spettrali che hanno fornito maggiorni informazioni rispetto ai restanti. Tale procedimento è stato implementato anche su PLC Beckhoff in linguaggio ST.

The development of smart hydraulic press that allows rapid adaptation to high-volume variant production is a major challenge. Besides tool management, setting the control parameters, which can be considered as a correct press cycle, is an important part to achieve agile production. This paper presents a new approach to automatically generate a hydraulic press cycle where the important data of the production plan is known, such as the data or setting of the forming tool and the data of the product. In this case, RFID tracking system is used to read the tool/product data, which is input data for the mathematical algorithm for calculating the characteristic points of the hydraulic press cycle. The characteristic points are sent to the local PLC and stored as a matrix. The Beckhoff TwinCat platform is used for process control. Finally, a simple bending process is shown as a use case for concept verification.
