Dris-Valette, Martine. „Recherche sur le raisonnement argumentatif chez l'adolescent“. Paris 5, 1989. http://www.theses.fr/1989PA05H050.
Der volle Inhalt der QuelleWithin the framework of the study of written discourse, we have studied the development of argumentative discourse among 12 to 18 years old adolescents at shool. We have used the interest for detective novels and we have asked the subjects to explain why, among a list of clues, someone seemed more guilty than others. The objects of discourse i. E. The clues, the expression of logical relations and modalisation have been taken in account. They allow to evaluate each text as to the part of narration, description or argumentation. It appears that adolescents are not necessarily able to go beyond narration when setting up argumentative discourses ; but, when they have received specific teaching, and especially the youngest, they seem to argument more efficiently. In fact, most of their difficulties probably lay in the way they use and construct the significance of the objects of discourse

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe starting-points are the author's reading of the problematic posed by raymond radiguet (1903-1923) and a setting-out of six clinical illustrations taken from her practice of clinical psychology. The author explores this as yet unexploited data on writing and creation in adolescence. Her research focuses on: -the economic dimension of writing and the blockages in adolescent subjectivization. -the bodily dimension and the meaning of the search for certain environnemental modes necessary to the adolescent for the act of writing. -the narcissistic dimension and the transformation of the destination of idealization and sublimation particulary evident in post-adolescence
Guay, Karianne. „Adaptation cognitive chez les adolescents ayant subi la maltraitance“. Doctoral thesis, Université Laval, 2021. http://hdl.handle.net/20.500.11794/69030.
Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe developmental impacts of childhood maltreatment are widely documented in scientific literature. On the cognitive level, some children are found to be hypervigilant in regards to signals associated with a potential danger, which can lead to a privileged allocation of attention toward those stimuli. Such an attentional bias allows a quick threat detection in order to adapt oneself in an adverse environment. It can, in turn, unnecessarily capture attention in a security context. However, the actual state of knowledge remains limited regarding the manifestation of this phenomenon during the juvenile period more specifically. Therefore, the aim of the present thesis is to verify whether an attentional bias towards threatening stimuli persists among adolescents who have experienced maltreatment. 79 adolescents (48 girls) aged 12 to 17 are recruited in the Quebec City region to form a group of 39 youths who have a history of maltreatment and a comparative group of 40 teenage controls. They perform an attentional blink (AB) task which measure the correct identification of characteristics from target faces (T1 and T2) introduced into a rapid serial presentation of neutral faces. In line with the hypothesis that task-relevant threatening stimuli should have a facilitating effect on performance, a first empirical chapter shows that an angry T2, presented in a resource-constrained situation, appears to automatically redirect attention to the stimulus. This attentional capture effect then takes the form of a cognitive competence in the two groups of adolescents. On the other hand, a threatening expression that is not relevant to process - as when identifying the gender of an angry T1 is rather required - seems to divert attention from the other characteristics of this stimulus. Under these circumstances, attentional capture results in a cognitive difficulty that impedes the processing of the targeted information for all participants. The undifferentiated results between groups mainly point out the absence of attentional bias specific to participants exposed to maltreatment. A second empirical chapter thus proposes a quantitative approach allowing to test the existence of an attentional bias differently while deepening comprehension of the AB task data. Parameters based on the Signal Detection Theory reveal that adolescents of the maltreatment group are more likely to report having seen a T2 when it was in fact absent in comparison with the control group. Such a tendency is accompanied by a decision-making strategy of a more liberal nature than participants not exposed to maltreatment, which is effectively known to increase susceptibility to false alarm errors or the number of incidental detections. Nevertheless, these almost significant differences between groups remain independent of the negative valence of previously treated T1, thus confirming the absence of attentional bias among the adolescents who experienced maltreatment. This being, exploratory correlations with the psychiatric symptoms scales of the Child Behavior Checklist open up on some clinical elements to v consider with regard to the results, notably participants' level of impulsivity/inhibition. The thesis conclusions imply a possible extinction of the threat-related attentional bias observed among children with a history of maltreatment. Impacts of this discovery are integrated with knowledge about the maturation of cognitive and behavioral regulatory mechanisms during puberty. A processoriented evaluation approach is encouraged with a view of enhancing clinical benefits from experimental research.

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis thesis articulates around a monograph. In a first time, the course that drove to research is exposed, followed by the methodological and theoretical reasons of the choice. It is about understanding the role of past and present pictures in the construction of the identity. The formulated hypothesis is that the construction of identity implies pore and more between immediate identification reference marks (relations neighnouring, family story, anecdotes) and the mediatized identification reference marks (tales, narrations, photos, movies), the vivid and resonant universes. What conscious and unconscious work can an individual produce in relation to these universes ? What joints take place with his own vivid and resonant mental productions ? These questions guide the survey made from the narration for a young man, Richard, descended of working families, in the Pays Haut lorrain (North East of France). The choice of the place and the individual rests on the established fact of a reference mark distress in this sector of industrial culture, immigration and social movments. The new generations tempt to rebuilt this inheritance by the slant of the movies and the audiovisual. The cartoon Goldorak marked his childhood, playing the role of an envelope allowing him to face the changes of adolescence and the separation of his parents. The grandmother's narrations, objects of the great grandfather contributed to the enrollment in the maternal lineage. He is taken in the father's quest, and his entrance in the paternal lineage occurs through the belonging to a gang. It's the writing of a movie script in which he is the character of Rambo that allows him to move away from this painful period of his life. His entrance in the youth center, his meeting with his girlfriend, the collective realization of a movie youngsters in the city make step on the side of sociolazing non-identifying activities, in the sens meantby G. Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe aim of this thesis is to study possible psychopathological features of amblyope adolescents put into care into homes. The study concerns the relationship between the researcher psychologist and the young amblyope and is treated at two level : an approach to the psychological behaviour of the adolescent put into care : a socioculturel approach. One conception : "the organic amblyopia", one concept : "adolescence", are delimited with reference to the last twenty years' theories. By regarding the amblyope's visual deficiency, not as a handicap but as a way of being, amblyopia is considered as " a certain way of seeing" and the amblyope adolescent as "a certain way of being". The development of this chain of thougt both documentary and bibvliographical analysis leads to the following hypothesis : "there is no specific psychopathology of the amblyope adolescent taken into care, due solely to amblyopia". This hypothesis is built up by use of a approach consisting of questionaries and interviews and is made more accurate by clinical study of several cases.

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis research both theoretical and experimental is an attempt to demonstrate particular relations between cognitive processes and analysis procedures of linguistic structures. Psychological activities of comprehension and metalinguistic analysis is the main subject of this work. Starting from the study of language acquisition in connection with psychological development according to the theories of Wallon, Piaget and Bruner, this research compares linguistic analyses of relative clause sentences with experimental results of genetic psycholinguistics concerning this structure. The first three experiments conducted at primary school level demonstrate the following results: total comprehension of relative sentences around the age of 11; from 6 to 15, the better understanding of right embedded "que" and self-embedded "qui" structures; around 11, the understanding of relative pronouns as connectives and anaphoric pronouns; the existence of specific psycholinguistic analytical strategies genetically organized in local relations around 9, in generalized relations from 11 onwards. Experiment IV of syntactical transformation appears to be quite difficult: 35% of subjects only at the age of 15 are able to produce all the correct transformations of the four different types of relative sentences. These results give evidence for belated acquisition of metalinguistic abilities. They suggest the analysis of complex linguistic structure is in relation with the great stages of psychological development. To conclude, an attempt is made to reformulate all the results according to major concepts of developmental psychology. The importance of child language study is then discussed in accordance to recent developments in social siences

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleHow does the disabled-from-birth teenager faces the puberty upheaval and its unprecedented nature? How do his narcissistic bases, set up with the ell of the initial trauma, reorganize? As a clinical psychologist following handicaped teenagers and their families, I theorized a number of characteristic stakes. On one hand, the handicaped teenager elaborates various arrangements aiming at the resumption of a work on time congealed from birth. He positions in the chain of the generations in spite of an altered psychic transmission, and he parts from his parents although the links were inaugurated under traumatogenes auspices. On the other hand, the teenager carries out a work aiming at the seizure of his otherness; he accomodates into a " fourth dimension " which founds the feeling of existence of the individual, and the obstinacy of his identity. To do so, he has to articulate psychic and factual realities, without exclusively submitting himself to the threatening materialism of his infirmity. Therefore, the teenager faces the idea of destiny, and takes a stand on his handicap experienced either as a punishment to undergo, or an accident to overcome. He also relies on valid and/or handicaped peers to appropriate his difference. Finally in this process of subjectivation, he adopts singular drive positions concerning masochism and shame, and also uses the positions toward love as a privileged leverage of this appropriation. Recent developments in society, especially in the treatment of loss and destructivity help to explain the current increase of scarification among adolescents

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleDuring this research, we shall endeavour to study the problem of decalages and the development of the activity of cognitive generalisation of children. Our first hypothesis claims that there are eight different types of decalages and generalisations which make up a developmental sequence. Our second hypothesis deals with the recursive nature of this succession during the development of cognitive activity. We will test these assumptions with the aid of an operational test constiting of a panel of a hundred subjects aged between five and fifteen years old. Our results seem to confirm the existence of a recursive succession of the first five types of decalages and generalisations

Starting from this, our thesis aims at the analysis of these problems examined under their various peculiar aspects: - in a first part, assuming the hypothesis that these subjects are utterly unable to present a true image of themselves nor a coherent and distinct one of other people, we have devoted our efforts to define the modalities of the ways they perceive their own self. - then, we have tried to analyse the relations they keep up with their closest immigrated friends, these latter included in the meaning of the word "we". -finally, taking into account their characteristic ambiguous relationships with their equals, french as well as moroccan, we have taken a special interest in the way they identify themselves to both

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe aim of this thesis is to give an account of the uneasiness of young adults who were seeking political asylum in France. Since their childhood, these young people have to deal with a certain numbers of traumatic, narcissistic experiences: a series of events which attest that they had to bear neglects, abandonments, break-ups and disappointments which are responsible for objectal and/or narcissistic losses which grief was problematic. They were confronted with the total collapse of infantile strength, in other words, an early loss of (imaginary or real) object: the problem of mother’s desertion. We can observe a few difficulties inherent to the process of individualization, characteristic of adolescence. They are likely to generate personalities similar to the affects considered as typical of pathological limit states and associated traumatic losses liable to provoke depressive symptoms

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleIn the study of adolescence (12-18 years), particularly with regard to its pathological, behavioural, and relational aspects, as these can be observed in a psychiatric clinical practice, the "crisis" appears as a possible explanation of the phenomenon. A transdisciplinary, multifocal approach to this notion of "crisis", according to intrapsychical, interpersonal and transpersonal points of view makes it possible to move from concept to representation, and the process which arise leads to an exploration of the "framework" as a condition of emergence of the phenomenon. Is there any link between the two notions of "crisis" and "framework", and is there any model whereby these two notions can be seen into relationship ?. In an attempt to answer these questions, the reader is offered an inventory of the different therapeutical models which can be used to approach pathologies related to adolescence. It appears, from this inventory supported by some clinical observations, that questions about "transfer", "countertransfer", and "narcissism" are highly specific to therapeutical relationship with patients

This work attempts on the one hand at redefining the authority from an historic point of view and Lacan's theory of speech. On the other hand, it attempts to account for the psychological mechanisms underlying the construction of authority figures in children. The functions of the authority figures, maternal, paternal and social, are the main subjects of this research, especially their entanglement with the two differences structuring the Oedipus: the differences between sexes and generations. Both sides of this work converge in an effort to look at this construction in the hypermodern speech which led to the creation of a new authority figure: the child-king

This thesis aims to understand the experience of bereaved teenagers who are in a resilience process. Interest for the animating question of this research was born out of a clinical experiment conducted in a palliative care unit. The on-site meeting of children and adolescents who were more often than not left to cope by themselves was the most important inspiration for this study, whose main objective is to give voice to the experience of youth in order for them to contribute as much in the elaboration of knowledge in the field, as in the transformation of professional social work practices. The study presents a description and interpretation of the story of six youth, each facing the death of a parent or a sibling, in an attempt to uncover the meaning of this experience in their lives. It examines the resilience trajectories of these youth, who continue to move forward with their lives despite the distress brought on by loss. Beyond looking at the experience of bereaved teenagers, the thesis proposes to explore their coping strategies and to identify the resources in their environment that contributed in supporting them during their grief. Using a qualitative perspective, it makes use of a biographical method inspired by the phenomenological approach. In light of the evidence gathered during individual interviews and group discussions, phenomenological self-narratives were written with the youth, giving shape to an initial formulation of the speech elements and both written and visual content constituting each individual narrative. It is thus with the narrative, an exemplary reflexive and interpretive activity in the context of intersubjectivity, that comprehension of the experience was refined over time. Evidence of both singular and common dimensions emerge from the narratives and their interpretation. To better understand his or her experience, each youth begins by reflecting on the context of the death of his/her family member. Constants are observed, notably in initial reactions: chock, disbelief, denial, guilt, and apprehension for the future. Youth also enumerate coping strategies, related sometimes to the loss of the loved one and sometimes to reconstructing their lives, opposite poles of their grief between which they constantly vacillate. In that respect, the narrative interpretation alternates distancing, calming, and finally, integration strategies. Youth also mention family, friends, school and professional resources that strengthened their journey, while also describing with remarkable openness, the obstacles that might have appeared. Examples of these include some harmful relationships where intimidation occurred with respect to the bereavement. Youth also know how to express their expectations of the resources around them, for example: a constant presence from their friends, generous gestures, or the need for specialized bereavement training for educational stakeholders or in clinical environments. Lastly, it is because of the strategies put in place and of the resources that support them that youth learn to get used to their new life as well as to their own vulnerability, and then engage in new paths, finding different ways of fulfilling themselves, recovering and reinventing themselves, thus being able to make the hardship a truly transformative experience. Their voice, to our greater benefit, leads to support strategies for youth and their loved ones suffering bereavement, and to tangible intervention possibilities, conducive to renewing perspective on the phenomenon.

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleMental health issues are common in adolescents and can have a lasting negative impact ontheir overall health. Several risk factors for depressive symptoms in this population are wellknown, such as being a girl or being bullied. School connectedness appears to be a protective factor in adolescents’ depressive symptoms. However, its positive impact among vulnerable groups remains unknown. This master’s thesis has three distinct objectives. The first one isto assess the influence of school connectedness on depressive symptoms among adolescents. The second is to see if its influence varies among vulnerable groups, such as girls, victims of bullying and those who combine these two vulnerabilities. The third is to examine the hypothetical relative impact whether public health interventions aimed at increasing school connectedness, eliminating bullying or eliminating the gender gap could achieve on significant depressive symptoms based on the associations found above. To answer these questions, datafrom COMPASS-Quebec’s 2017-2018 cohort of 17,367 students from 37 high schools in Eastern Quebec were used ( Chapter 1). The results suggest that the students’ reported school connectedness has a protective influence on their depressive symptoms and its influence appears evengreater among young people cumulating vulnerabilities, such as bullied girls. However, evenwith the highest school connectedness scores, this influence may not be sufficient in the mostat-risk students for depressive symptoms.

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis thesis consists of three parts and results from a study of juvenile delinquency and the question of the object. Based on the construction of the subject from childhood to adolescence, the first part shows that the impasses and blockages between one phase and another of the child's emotional development may unleash deviant behaviour in adolescence, moment of rupture with the child-type bond. The second part is centered on the question of the object : the object found in external reality will support the wagers of the psychic object, the construction of which, over the course of the child's life, is found to be inadequate in the delinquent adolescent. The third and last part is based on the two intersecting axes of this study : the questions of the subject and of the object. Regarding delinquent behaviour, the adolescent attempts both to prove an existence which he doubts and to test a primitive relationship with the object. The may be aggravated by both the investment in objects in external reality found in the discourse of the post-modern society, and by the responses offered to the question of delinquency. A clinical history of delinquency from childhood to adolescence illustrates certain arguments constructed in the text

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis thesis studies the various personalization and socialisation processes involved in the adoptive filiation specific to adopted teenagers. Adolescence is a decisive period for the adopted youngster. He(she) makes choices concerning his(her) filial adherence. Ages of abandonment and of adoption must be considered in an indissociable manner. In addition, time elapsed between these two ages, which we call latency time, has a significant effect on perceptions and relations at the time of puberty. The identity construct of the adopted teenager goes through two interconnected processes. Attachment process consists in the implementation of behaviours relating (secure attachment, preoccupation, detachment). The coping process regroups strategies allowing situations considered as stressing to be coped with. An intergeneration transmission takes place in adoptive families both in terms of attachment relations and of ways of coping with the stress of the adoptive experience. This transmission takes place in a complex process of transactions. Research validation using a sample of 121 adopted teenagers aged 11 to 25. The tools used : a questionnaire, the CaMir of PIERREHUMBERT and al. (1996) and the Toulouse Coping Scale, ETC of Tap and al. (1997). The latency duration has a significant effect on the behaviour of adopted teenagers. A short family latency duration contributes to a secure attachment and active coping, whilst a long latency duration is linked with subsequent relational difficulties within the family, to insecure attachment and withdrawal coping behaviour. A late adoption does not portend specific problems when abandonment itself took place at a late stage. It appears that attachment and coping are not transmitted in the same way depending on the age of abandonment and the age of adoption

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe aims of this study were (a) to evaluate the level of emotional and behavioral problems of Tunisian children and adolescents using the Child Behavior Checklist (CBCL) and Youth Self-Report (YSR), (2) to ascertain if there were differences related to sex, age, and socioeconomic status (SES), (3) to compare this study’s findings to those of multicultural/international studies having used the same instruments, and (4) to evaluate the level of parent/youth agreement. Method: Participants: 1,342 children and adolescents aged 6-18 years were rated by their parents using the CBCL, an inventory of children and adolescents’ behavioral and emotional problems that was developed by Thomas Achenbach (1991). Out of these youths, 674 aged 12-18 years, independently filled out the YSR, which is a self-report parallel form of the CBCL. Results: On both CBCL and YSR, the level of problem scores showed small differences related to sex, age, and SES. Similar to previous studies, girls presented more Internalizing problems whereas boys presented more Externalizing problems. Scores on both instruments are much higher than the mean of the mean scores of other countries; however they are similar to scores reported in Algeria, Greece, and Puerto Rico. The level of parent/youth agreement was overall higher than reported in previous studies

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleMany studies, using information integration theory, have been devoted to the attribution of blame on the basis of degree intent and gravity of consequences information. The blame schema not having, to our knowledge, been subject to intercultural studies, we studied the form it can take in Burkina Faso adolescents and young adults. Results in general coincided with the integration schema found in western societies. The degree of blame attributed depended upon the degree of consequences noted and the degree of intention of the act, the two degrees simply adding their effects. Study of the reversibility of the blame schema was subsequently conducted with the same subject. Seven out of ten subjects showed reversibility of intent-blame association; they used both blame information to infer degree of intent and intent information to attribute blame. Six out of ten subjects showed reversibility of consequence-blame association. However no subjects used both consequences (or intent) information in a direct way to attribute blame in experiment 1 and in an inverse way to infer degree of intent (or gravity of consequences) in experiment 2, as implied by the reversibility logic. Rather, the modal Burkinabe subject attributed blame exclusively on the basis of intent, inferred intent exclusively on the basis of blame, and inferred gravity of consequences on the basis of intent except when there was no intent to harm in which case he/she inferred gravity of consequences on the basis of blame

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThere is a double interest in studying adolescents consumption behaviors; a managerial interest because adolescents constitute a real financial windfall and, an academic interest given the limited work in marketing literature about French adolescents. The concept of identity, whose construction is a cornerstone in adolescence, can enrich the understanding of consumer behavior. This work highlights the importance of two facets of identity (i. E. , personal and social) and the notion of clothing style when it comes to the adolescent clothing market. It is part of a classical marketing approach which takes into account individual and environmental variables. From several empirical studies combining different methodologies, this research highlights the influence of identity and clothing styles on products and brands consumption of adolescents

They thus require self-sufficency and creativity desinvesting, exactly at the same crucial time when these adolescents have to turn to a future for which no tracks have previously been defined by any symbolic index. Making the choice of a way, orienting its investings, anticipating its position in the society, all this consists in a symbolic matter, in which lie some desire, some history, and then, some subject. .

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleAdolescence is a crucial period for the construction of identity as it is typically defined as a period of crisis following puberty. In particular, with regard to girls, the subject of this thesis: confronted with changes to their bodies, and reaching sexual maturity, teenagers must integrate their new body with their new potential. These physical changes project forward to the future social roles they will have to play to become autonomous, active adults, who are well integrated into their culture. The concept of social roles includes that of the sex-defined roles which are related to gender. Female identity will be defined by referring to the concept of gender, encompassing the standards and roles per sex, which determine the social relationships per sex, based on male domination. This thesis proposes to analyse the way in which young girls, with adolescence, and in able to build their female identity, integrate these sex-defined standards and roles. This research will analyse a series of around fifteen accounts of “life segments” given by women from 25 to 35 years, who recall their adolescence. What they say and leave unsaid, their explicit and implicit comments, will be analyzed and clarified by an academic, sociological corpus on gender, and a psychoanalytical corpus on emotional identification and attachment, in order to be able to bring together the conscious and unconscious psychic mechanisms which allow the person to develop for themselves and others

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe dynamic of representation is fundamentally linked with drama and with the capacity of structuring the mner problematic of the subject. The search for identity and the strong need for objects characterizing the teenage crisis period ,eads the subject to favour shared experiences Young teenagers try to find support coming from their environment. At this stage of development, the subject shows an acute artistic and aesthetic sensibility. Why do teenagers are ready to invest the space of the drama class at school - when it is ruled and taught by adult - precisely at a time when they try to avo,d and isolate themselves from adult and preferaWy join adult-free groups. What sort of experiences does the teenager expect or intend to achieve by joining the drama class ? What sort of ordeals does the teenager try to overtake ? Those questionings are part of the hypothesis included in this study: we will deal, with the acting activity on stage as a way of opening the fie.
