The aims of this study were: to find out the implementation of content mastery service activities in group guidance by using audio-visual media to increase understanding of adolescent reproductive health at Karang Taruna Tasikagung; to obtain the results of improving content mastery services in group guidance by using audio-visual media in increasing understanding of adolescent reproductive health at Karang Taruna Tasikagung. The results of the study show that the implementation of the service is carried out in five meetings. In the meeting there were still respondents who had not been able to adopt a healthy lifestyle and there were those who had adopted a healthy lifestyle and some respondents paid close attention; There are differences in the results of understanding reproductive health before and after providing services with content using audio-visual media. This means that content mastery services using audio-visual media can increase understanding of the reproductive health of youth at the Tasikagung.

Audio-visual services play a crucial and formative role in any society. These services are closely linked to the preservation of cultural identity and social values, and play a major role in shaping public opinion, safeguarding democratic system and developing creative potential. Due to these reasons, governments of both developed and developing countries not only provide direct and indirect incentives to their domestic industries but also strictly regulate the content of audio-visual media. During the Uruguay Round of WTO (World Trade Organisation) negotiations, audio-visual service sector witnessed limited liberalisation. Even major players such as the EU, Australia and Canada did not make any commitments to liberalise trade in these services. This was primarily to protect the domestic industries from foreign competition, promote their growth and to protect the cultural heritage of the nations from foreign influence. Many countries have repeatedly raised concerns about the capability of the GATS (General Agreement on Trade in Services) framework to take into account the democratic, cultural and social aspects. Others have explained that audio-visual sector is largely covered by domestic regulations and normal trade rules are not applicable to these services.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) tingkat motivasi belajar siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 6 Kota bengkulu sebelumnya (pretest) memberikan pelayanan penguasaan konten dengan menggunakan media audio visual teknik. (2) tingkat motivasi belajar siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 6 Kota Bengkulu (posttest) memberikan layanan penguasaan konten dengan menggunakan teknik media audio visual. (3) apakah terdapat pengaruh penguasaan layanan konten dengan menggunakan teknik media audio visualterhadap motivasi belajar siswa kelas VIII SMP 6 Kota Bengkulu. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen berupa one group pretest-posttest. Populasi dalam penelitian ini semua siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 6 Kota Bengkulu yang berjumlah 178 siswa. Sampel dulu ditentukan dengan teknik purposive sampling terdiri dari 24 siswa. Teknik analisis data Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan non para metrictest Wilcoxon dengan memanfaatkan SPSS 20. TheTemuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Tingkat motivasi belajar siswa kelas VIII SMP N 6Kota Bengkulu sebelum diberikan penguasaan layanan konten dengan menggunakan teknik audio Pada media visual terdapat dua siswa kategori sangat rendah, 11 siswa kategori rendah, sedang kategori 8 siswa, 3 siswa kategori tinggi dan tidak ada kategori siswa sangat tinggi. (2) Tingkat motivasi siswa kelas VIII G SMP N 6 Kota Bengulu setelah mengingat penguasaan layanan konten dengan menggunakan teknik media audio visual, meningkat menjadi sangat tinggi kategori tinggi 4 siswa, kategori tinggi 11 siswa, kategori ada 9 siswa, dan ada kategori rendah atau sangat rendah. (3) Ada pengaruh yang signifikan penguasaan penggunaan layanan konten Teknik media audio visual memotivasi siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 6 di Bengkulu Kata kunci : Layanan Penguasaan Konten, Media Audio Visual, Motivasi Belajar Abstract : The Effect Of It Content Mastering Services Using Audio Visual Media Techniques On Students' Learning Motivation. Data analysis techniques used in this research method using the non-parametrictest Wilcoxon utilizing SPSS 20. The findings of this study show that: (1) The level of student motivation G class VIII SMP N 6 Bengkulu City before being given a mastery of content services using the technique of audio media there are two students visually very low category, 11 students category of low, medium category 8 students, 3 students of high category and there are no categories of students are very high. (2) The level of motivation of students of class VIII G SMP N 6 Cities Bengulu after a given service mastery of content using the technique of audio-visual media, increasing to very high category 4 students, a high category 11 students, a category was 9 students, and there are low or very low category. (3) There is a significant influence mastery of content services using audio-visual media techniques to motivate students of class VIII SMP Negeri 6 G in Bengkulu City. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan informasi tentang: 1) penerapan media audio visual VCD terhadap hasil belajar keterampilan bolavoli khususnya passing bawah dan service bawah, 2) efektifitas pembelajaran passing bwah dan service bawah bola menggunakan media audio visual VCD dibandingkan dengan menggunakan metode konvensional. Dalam penelitian ini sampel yang digunakan adalah seluruh siswa laki-laki kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Grati Kabupaten pasuruan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen. Pemberian perlakuan untuk masing-masing kelompok sebanyak 8 kali pertemuan dengan sekali pertemuan berdurasi 80 menit. Analisis menggunakan metode statistik paired Sample T-test kemudian dilanjutkan dengan metode statistik independent sample t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: penggunaan media audio visual VCD dalam pembelajaran dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar passing bawah dan service bawah.

Teleaudiology has been implemented in several settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, community-based programmes, and educational institutions. Despite its numerous advantages, teleaudiology is still relatively new in Malaysia and is gaining popularity among audiologists. Additionally, the majority of studies have been conducted on normal-hearing individuals. Thus, as a pioneer in Malaysia, this study established teleaudiology services for students who are deaf or hard of hearing (DHH) at the Special Education Service Centre. The researchers examined two critical factors that contribute to the service's proper operation: internet speed and the audio-visual quality of the ICT applications employed. This study documented the details of the service's implementation, which included 25 sessions of synchronous teleaudiology with DHH school children. Additionally, this study revealed that upload and download speeds exceed prior research-recommended minimums. Meanwhile, most teleaudiology service sessions are done in high-quality audio and video, except for the Skype programme, which has a moderate visual quality. To summarise, teleaudiology services have been effectively deployed amongst institutions and have the potential to be expanded to another location in Malaysia.

ABSTRAK Desa pulau lemukutan memiliki mayorits masyarakat berprofesi sebagai nelayan masyarakat memanfaatkan potensi laut untuk kehidupan sehari dan peningkatan kesejahteraan yang sejalan dengan negara Indonesia sebagai negara kemaritiman. Salah satu yang paling berpengaruh masyarakat pulau lemukutan cenderung mengkonsumsi hanya hasil lautan bahkan hasil lautan yang dikeringkan seperti ikan asin yang jelas mengandung kadar garam yg tinggi yang merupakan salah satu faktor penyebab hipertensi. Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat untuk meningkatkan kewaspadaan dan kemampuan dalam melakukan upaya pencegahan, mengurangi kecemasan dan meminimalkan resiko terjadinya komplikasi dari hipertensi. Metode palaksanaan pengabdian kepada masyarakat adalah Edukasi menggunakan media audio visual dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan menurunkan tingkat kecemasan pada penderita hipertensi terhadap komplikasi. Hasil pengabdian kepada masyarakat didapatkan data sebelum diberikan edukasi hipertensi menggunakan media audio visual sebagian besar peserta memiliki pengetahuan dan kemampuan pada kategori rendah yaitu 53,3%, kategori sedang yaitu 36,6% dan kategori tinggi yaitu 10%. Sedangkan setelah diberikan edukasi hipertensi menggunakan media audio visual diperoleh pengetahuan dan kemampuan pada kategori sedang yaitu 73,3% dan kategori tinggi yaitu 20 %, dan kategori rendah 6,6% serta sebelum diberikan edukasi hipertensi menggunakan media audio visual sebagian besar peserta memiliki kecemasan pada kategori sedang yaitu 43,3%, kategori ringan yaitu 40%, kategori berat yaitu 3,3% dan kategori tidak cemas 13,3%. Sedangkan setelah diberikan edukasi hipertensi menggunakan media audio visual diperoleh kecemasan pada kategori tidak cemas yaitu 66,6%, kategori ringan yaitu 26,6 %, dan kategori sedang 6,6%. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa edukasi hipertensi menggunakan media audio visual mampu meningkatkan pengetahuan, menurunkan kecemasan serta kemampuan masyarakat dalam pencegahan komplikasi dari hipertensi. Kata Kunci : Edukasi, Pengetahuan, Kecemasan, Audio visual ABSTRACT The village of Lemukutan Island has a majority of people who work as fishermen, the community utilizes the potential of the sea for daily life and increased welfare which is in line with Indonesia as a maritime country. One of the most influential people on Lemukutan Island tends to consume only marine products, even dried marine products such as salted fish which clearly contain high levels of salt, which is one of the factors that causes hypertension. The purpose of community service is to increase awareness and ability to take preventive measures and minimize the risk of complications from the disease. The method of implementing community service is education using audio-visual media to increase knowledge and reduce anxiety levels in people with hypertension about complications. The results of community service obtained data before being given hypertension education using audio-visual media, most of the participants had knowledge and abilities in the low category, namely 53.3%, the medium category, namely 36.6%, and the high category, namely 10%. Meanwhile, after being given hypertension education using audio-visual media, knowledge and abilities were obtained in the medium category, namely 73.3% and in the high category, namely 20%, and in the low category, 6.6% and before being given hypertension education using audio-visual media, most participants had anxiety about the moderate category is 43.3%, the mild category is 40%, the severe category is 3.3% and the category is not anxious 13.3%. Meanwhile, after being given hypertension education using audio-visual media, anxiety was obtained in the non-anxious category, namely 66.6%, the mild category, namely 26.6%, and the moderate category, 6.6%. Close cooperation between speech technology scientists and digital humanities researchers is an important aspect of the project making sure that the development of the technologies answers the needs of research based on qualitative audio-visual interviews. For practical research reasons, the project focuses on the audio aspect, although visual aspects are of course equally important for the analysis of audio-visual data. The Cologne Centre for Analysis and Archiving of audio-visual data will provide the technologies as a central service.

Breakfast is very important for the body. The right breakfast can provide the energy and important nutrients needed by children. The purpose of this service activity is to increase children's knowledge about nutrition and the importance of breakfast. This educational activity is carried out using audio-visual media in the form of animated videos. The results of the service showed an increase in students' knowledge before (pre test 4%) and after (post test 76.3%) educational activities were carried out. Abstrak Sarapan sangat penting bagi tubuh. Sarapan yang tepat dapat memberikan energi dan nutrisi penting yang dibutuhkan oleh anak. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan anak mengenai gizi dan pentingnya sarapan. Kegiatan edukasi ini dilakukan menggunakan media audio visual dalam bentuk video animasi. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan siswa sebelum (pre test 4%) dan setelah (post test 76,3%) kegiatan edukasi dilakukan.

This Community Service aims to provide assistance in learning English about pronunciation of vocabulary using Audio Visual and providing knowledge about the use of Audio Visual media for teachers and learning for students. The chosen partners in this service are children an teachers of Raudhatul Atfal (RA) Dharma Wanita eersatuan Simpang, Buay Pemaca, OKU Selatan, with the consideration that they rarely learn English because there is no English teacher in the RA in using learning methods. In addition, based on observations in the RA, it shows that children's lack of interest in learning English and even English for them is too ordinary / foreign. The target in this service is to help the children of RA Dharma Wanita Persatuan Simpang to learn English so that they do not feel unfamiliar / unfamiliar and increase student motivation in learning English and minimize errors in speaking vocabulary in English. From the results of this service activity, it can be concluded that learning English by utilizing audio-visual media in students of RA Dharma Wanita Persatuan Simpang is proven to contribute significantly to the mastery of the English vocabulary of students.

Abstrak: Secara nasional, prevalensi masalah gizi kurang dan gizi buruk pada anak 0 – 59 bulan menurut indeks berat badan menurut umur tahun 2013 adalah 19,6%, dan pada tahun 2018 mengalami penurunan sebesar 17,7%, namun masih di atas target RPJMN tahun 2019, yaitu 17%. Berdasarkan hasil diskusi terfokus berkelompok yang dilakukan penulis ditemukan bahwa perilaku anak dalam makan masih tidak tepat, kebiasaan anak makan snack, variasi makanan anak setiap kali makanan tidak mematuhi kaidah gizi seimbang. (1) Tujuan pengabdian: Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah memanfaatkan media audio visual dalam meningkatkan hard skill anak berupa ketepatan perilaku makan pada anak sekolah ; (2) Metode: Pengabdian ini merupakan pendampingan promosi kesehatan yang dilakukan mahasiswa dengan metode penyuluhan menggunakan audio visual kepada 38 anak SD usia 7-9 tahun; dan (3) Hasil yang ditemukan setelah dilakukan evaluasi dengan observasi setelah tindakan adalah terdapat peningkatan perilaku makan pada anak sekolah setelah diberikan edukasi melalui media audio visual yaitu sebesar 37%.Abstract: Nationally the prevalence of undernutrition and malnutrition in children 0-59 months according to the weight-for-age index in 2013 was 19.6%, and in 2018 it decreased by 17.7%, but it was still above the 2019 RPJMN target, i.e. 17%. Based on the results of the disturbed group discussion conducted by the author, it was found that the child's eating behavior was still inappropriate, the child's habit of eating snacks, the variety of children's food at each meal did not comply with the rules of balanced nutrition. (1) Purpose of service; The purpose of this service is to utilize audio-visual media to increase the satisfaction of eating behavior in school children; (2) Method: This service is health promotion assistance carried out by students using counseling methods using audio-visual to elementary school children aged 7-9 years; and (3) The results found were that there was an increase in eating behavior in school children after being given education through audio-visual media.

The study seeks to provide information on the existing situation about the availability and use of Audio-visual materials in teaching students in Junior High Schools in Effia, in Effia Kwesimintsim Municipal Assembly. This study used qualitative approach, and censused all the nine public Junior High schools in Effia with ten students and one teacher randomly selected from each public JHS in Effia to form a sample size of 99 respondents for the study. Despite the significant role played by the use of audio-visual materials in the Ghanaian educational system. The findings revealed that although the students in the nine public JHS in Effia are not taught using Audio-Visual materials by their teachers, they still have the desire to be taught using those materials and this was affirmed with a significant majority of the students saying they desired to be taught with Audio-Visual materials in their various classrooms experience. The research recommended that Audio-Visual materials should be made available by Stakeholders in the educational sector such as; the Parent Teacher Association (P.T.A), the municipal assembly, the ministry of education, the Ghana Education Service, individual philanthropists, and non-governmental organizations.

Abstrak Media cetak maupun online sudah menjadi kebutuhan primer orang di masa kini. Melalui media online berbagai aktivitas baik dalam bisnis, bekerja, studi terlebih dalam pelayanan menjadi wadah yang menunjang produktivitas orang. Di dalam lingkup pelayanan, media menjadi wadah yang diperguakan khususnya dalam penyampaian firman Tuhan. Tulisan ini menguraikan pemanfaatan berbagai media dalam menyampaikan firman Tuhan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penulisan artikel ini metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi literatur. Temuan dari kajian ini, pemanfaatan media dalam menyampaikan firman Tuhan sudah dipergunakan walau belum sepenuhnya tertata dengan maksimal. Penyampaian firman Tuhan dengan media baik yang online maupun yang audio, mendorong makin membawa perubahan spiritualitas jemaat.

This type of research is an experiment with one group pre-test and post-test design models. The population was 102 students and the sample of this study was 10th grade students of SMK N 1 Pejawaran with 10 students. Data analysis using the Wilcoxon test. The results of this study 1) the learning motivation of students of class X SMK N 1 Pejawaran Academic Year 2018/2019 is still low, based on the distribution of students' learning motivation scale with a low category of 33 students (32.4%), in the medium category of 69 students (67, 6%), 2) Group Guidance service using audio visual media has an effect in increasing student motivation in class X SMK N 1 of Academic Year 2018/2019, with a sig. = 0.008 <0.05. The conclusions in this study are 1) Class X students learning motivation SMK N 1 Pejawaran still moderate, and 2) group guidance services using audio visual media influence the learning motivation of class X students of SMK N 1 Pejawaran.

Mambalan is a village located in the Gunung Sari, West Lombok, where most of the population lived as farm laborers and stone breaking. A small income, of course, has an impact on the ability of parents to send their children to a higher level of education. Based on the conditions above, the writer and team are interested in conducting community service by providing English language training using audio-visual media for the youth organization. This training used an audio-visual media method with the aim of making the training activities more interesting and easier for the training participants. This English training activity has a positive impact on the youth organization of Mambalan village. These positive impacts are seen through the result of the training process. Within a few months of following the training process by using audio-visual media, the learning outcomes of the training participants increased. Before participating in the training, the training participants considered English was a difficult language to learn, but after participating in the training by using audio-visual media the trainees began to experience the convenience and the trainees thought that learning English using audio-visual media was fun.

It is, however, increasingly dependent on the American audio-visual industry. This process goes hand in hand with moves towards privatization and is based on purely commercial logic. It is necessary to resort to government regulations in order to reduce this dependence. There are two possible options : concerted European action, or the introduction of national policies to support the public service and to foster cooperation between the public television networks. The latter is certainly the more reliable one, provided the State does not seek to form extremely powerful multimedia groups pursuing multinational strategies.

Initiative service is a key research direction for the new generation of service robots. It is important to automatically track humans for initiative service in human-robot interaction. To solve the problems of low precision and poor anti-interference capability of only using single-modal (audio or visual) information, a speaker positioning and tracking method based on an audio-visual bimodal combination is proposed. First, the azimuth of the speaker is obtained based on the time difference of arrival using a microphone array, and face detection based on AdaBoost is carried out using the camera. A distance and azimuth calculation model is established to obtain the position of the speaker. Second, a speaker positioning strategy based on an audio-visual bimodal combination is designed to handle different situations. Third, the path is planned by which the azimuth and distance between the robot and the speaker are maintained in a limited range. Different azimuths and distances for speaker tracking are set to perform various simulations. Finally, the mobile robot is driven to follow the path using the STM32 real-time control system. Information from the microphone array and the camera is collected and processed by Raspberry Pi. The tracking accuracy was tested under a single-face situation by setting 20 different target points, and 10 tests were carried out under each point. Under multi-face situations, the audio-visual bimodal information is combined to identify the speaker, and then the Kalman filter is used in face tracking. The experimental results demonstrate that the running trajectory of the mobile robot is close to the ideal trajectory, which ensures effective speaker tracking.

Studies on the reception of blind and visually impaired people to the audio description of audiovisual products in the Arab world context are relatively scarce. This study quantitatively explores how the Jordanian audience with visual impairment reacted to the Jordanian Netflix drama series ‘Madrast Al-Rawabi LilBanat’ (AlRawabi School for Girls) with audio description. The data were collected from one hundred fifty-two participants using a 16-Likert scale item questionnaire that consists of five constructs, namely, Watching Series Habits, Technical Issues, Comprehension and Understanding, Attitude and Future Actions & Recommendations. The findings showed that the technical aspects, and the participants’ comprehension and understanding of the audio description significantly affected their attitudes. The findings of this study can be useful for translation training and streaming platforms. The researchers recommend further audio description research in the Arab world.

Visual communication design is one application for creating a good image for Jasdam II Sriwijaya, the concept of communication and expression of creative power, which is applied in various visual communication media by processing graphic design elements consisting of images (illustrations), letters, colors, composition and layout. All of this is done to convey messages visually, audio and audio-visually to the intended targets. Instagram media is an alternative media for publishing information on activities at Jasdam II Sriwijaya. The aim of community service activities is to provide assistance. The community service method is through mentoring through 1) preparation, 2) implementation and 3) evaluation. The result of community service activities is that there is an increase in visits to Jasdam II/Sriwijaya due to seeing Jasdam II/Sriwijaya Instagram posts and Instagram story followers, likers and viewers also increase. After carrying out this community service activity, the community service team had a positive impact in introducing the Jasdam II/Sriwijaya environment to the community.

This review paper delves into the challenges and opportunities associated with multimedia transmission in vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs), with a particular focus on audio-visual transmission using IEEE 802.11p. The currently deployed message dictionaries for VANETs only allow for textual exchange. By examining current research in the field of multimedia transmission within transportation systems, we explore the technical issues, challenges, and opportunities involved in transmitting audio-visual-enhanced emergency notifications to transportation users. Additionally, we shed light on the challenges related to video transmission in VANETs and propose focused research areas where Artificial Intelligence can be applied to address the bandwidth constraints imposed by devices. This work makes three significant contributions. Firstly, it presents a detailed comparison between video and image transmission, highlighting their respective strengths and limitations. Secondly, it identifies and discusses the challenges associated with multimedia transmission, emphasizing the need for quality of service and resource availability. Lastly, it examines the opportunities for using intelligence at the edge for transmitting short clips of audio-visual emergency notifications within VANETs to support new services that can coexist with the currently deployed message dictionaries.

This research aims to conduct resocialization by providing repeated understanding and service guidelines as a reference in services that staff can follow and implement. The method used is a pilot study using observation techniques, interviews, and questionnaires with the head of the room managerial function approach. The study results showed that the resocialization of cardiovascular palliative service guidelines with audio-visual methods in the form of videos made staff more familiar with and understanding cardiovascular palliative care. Resocializing service guidelines in cardiovascular palliative unit services show increased staff knowledge about cardiovascular palliative services. In fact, the principle of competition between mobile data service operators is currently based on the volume of data traffic, so we developed a simplified mathematical model to test the efficiency of service indicators provided in wireless networks.

The research object is students a 4th semester in grade 2018, amounting to 40 people obtained through purposive sampling techniques. Samples were given treatment for 8 times the meeting, in a week 3 times meeting. Data collection techniques of badminton skills test in the form of Wall Volley test, short service, long service and clear test. Data analysis techniques using T-test. The results of this study were a significant effects on the implementation of the distributed practice learning model using audio visual media to improve the basic technical skills of badminton students. The audio-visual media in the application of distributed practice learning models is very effective in improving the learning outcomes of badminton basic engineering skills. Besides being able to facilitate students in understanding the movements learned, also facilitate teachers in delivering learning materials taught at the time, because students can evaluate the movement directly to be perfect through video observation.

Sex education is important in the world of education because of the rise in cases of sexual harassment due to the lack of understanding of sex education from an early age. The partner school, namely KB Mentari Kudus, has a problem with the behavior of early childhood jokes that lead to pornographic words as well as verbal bullying and actions. In addition, teachers also have not presented digital learning media in the learning process. The mentoring activity for making audio visual based flashcard media as a solution offered to partners has the aim of increasing students' understanding of sex education. Teachers are expected to be able to increase creativity in providing learning media, especially related to sex education. The method used in this service includes 5 stages namely socialization, training, application of technology, mentoring, and sustainability. Community service activities get the result that partners feel able to develop competence in making innovative learning media for early childhood. Sex education is important to be taught to early childhood where 93.75% of partners strongly agree with this statement. Media needs are also approved by partners with 81.25% and are also supported by the importance of innovation in learning. Partners are also very helpful in making audio visual based flashcard media. The implementation carried out by partners and the service team obtained 93.75% results audio visual flashcard media is suitable for sex education material for early childhood.

Adapun bentuk penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas,populasi siswa kelas V SD NEGERI 066658 MEDAN MARELAN adalah berjumlaha 38 orang,teknik penelitian ini adalah total sampling. Teknik analisisi data menggunakan tes unjukkerja yaitu yang melakukan praktek backhand short service bulutangkis kemudian hasil testersebut di lakukan penilaian. Dari pelaksanaan siklus I dan hasil ya terdapat 26 siswa yangmencapai nilai KKM (72%)dan 10 siswa yang belum mendapatkan nilai KKM (28%),dilanjutkan dengan pelaksanaan siklus II dan hasil nya meningkat dengan jumlah 30 siswayang mencapai nilai KKM ( 83%) dan 6 siswa yang belum mencapai nilai KKM (17 %).Dengan demikian dapat di simpulkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan pembelajaran backhandshort service bulutangkis melalui media audio visual pada siswa kelas V SD NEGERI 066658MEDAN MARELAN dengan peningkatan (11%)

NOTE: This abstract is based on a professional audio description experiment for two productions at Arena Stage in Washington, DC, USA. It does not follow a traditional research model but is rather a report of practical work in the field of live audio description for theatre. Live audio description can be made cost-effectively available at each performance of a performing arts production. This chapter will demonstrate how it is possible to create accessibility for blind theater-goers on a par with sighted audience members. Similarly, multiple language and sign interpretation can be made available at all performances of an event. In 1981, a formal audio description service—the world’s first—was begun under the leadership of a blind woman at The Metropolitan Washington Ear, a radio-reading service based in Washington, DC. Radio reading services still exist throughout the United States with the participation of volunteer readers; I began working as a volunteer reader at The Ear in 1972 and was proud to be a founding member of its audio description service. Radio reading services are heavily dependent on volunteers and The Ear’s audio description service was also structured around voluntary contributions of time and effort. Cognizant of the limits on the times of people who often maintain full-time employment elsewhere, audio description was conceived as a service that would be offered at only two performances of a theatrical run and preparation for the audio described performances was based on the observation of only two or three performances early in the run. It was understood that optimally audio description would be prepared with more in-depth observation of the theatrical event, even during rehearsals, and that audio described should be offered at every performance in the run of a show. But the limitation of the volunteer structure prohibited that arrangement. The proliferation of audio description for live theatrical events in the United States is based on this volunteer, limited preview/two-described-performances model. With support from the D.C. Aid Association for the Blind, the Audio Description Project of the American Council of the Blind proposed a more expansive audio description arrangement for two productions again at Arena Stage. We collaborated with Arena on the experiment: an audio describer attended rehearsals for each production, met with the stage director, actors, the designers (scenic, costumes, lighting, sound) and developed an audio description script throughout the three-week rehearsal period. The script was then available for that same describer to voice at every performance beginning with opening night and with, of course, an eye on stage action as minor changes in action could occur from performance to performance. The describer, essentially, was a “cast member”, attending every rehearsal and performance. The arrangement had two benefits over the traditional model of audio description development for live performance: time was available to carefully observe the theatrical process and construct descriptive language that was more thorough and considered; and people desiring the service could attend any performance with no advance notice and be assured of access to the visual aspects of the production. Other innovations included Braille and large-print programs, models of the set and props in the lobby, and a tactile “scrapbook” of costume pieces. It was gratifying to note that attendance for the productions by people using audio description tripled over levels experienced at Arena using the traditional volunteer model.

In this article, an analysis of the over-the-top video on demand (VOD OTT) services’ market in Latin America is proposed, to account for its penetration, relationship with traditional pay-TV, content policies and current (and nowadays under debate) regulations for the sector. The analysis departs from a comparative study on the five main audio-visual markets of the region: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia and Mexico, within which it is analysed Netflix, the predominant VOD OTT service. First, it will be argued that Internet’s potential to generate higher levels of competition and diversity from online distribution of audio-visual content has been limited by practices of vertical integration between a few new entrants and pre-existing, dominant players of the infocommunications industry. Secondly, the State’s role as a guarantor of public interest is discussed, particularly in periphery contexts with deeply structural asymmetries, as is the case in the countries mentioned above.

This article describes the development of the digital infrastructure at a research data centre for audio-visual linguistic research data, the Hamburg Centre for Language Corpora (HZSK) at the University of Hamburg in Germany, over the past ten years. The typical resource hosted in the HZSK Repository, the core component of the infrastructure, is a collection of recordings with time-aligned transcripts and additional contextual data, a spoken language corpus. Since the centre has a thematic focus on multilingualism and linguistic diversity and provides its service to researchers within linguistics and other disciplines, the development of the infrastructure was driven by diverse usage scenarios and user needs on the one hand, and by the common technical requirements for certified service centres of the CLARIN infrastructure on the other. Beyond the technical details, the article also aims to be a contribution to the discussion on responsibilities and services within emerging digital research data infrastructures and the fundamental issues in sustainability of research software engineering, concluding that in order to truly cater to user needs across the research data lifecycle, we still need to bridge the gap between discipline-specific research methods in the process of digitalisation and generic digital research data management approaches.

A film can be seen as a medium of mass communication because in a film there are elements of entertainment, education, and information. In fact, a film can be an advocacy media that encourages a social change. In the film production management, there are major label and indie label concepts, where the indie label focuses on film content and filmmakers' freedom of expression. The stages that must be passed by a filmmaker in producing a film starts from the stages of development, pre-production, production, post-production, and distribution. The post-production stage is the most important stage that determines whether a film is classified as a quality film or not because it involves the final touch of a film. Therefore, the author decided to make a community service program in the form of post-production indie film training (audio-visual editing) at Armidale English College, Soreang District, Bandung Regency. The purpose of this training is to provide practical understanding and skills in the field of audio-visual editing to the trainees. The various implementation methods used in this training included media communication methods (audio-visual), lecture methods, interactive methods, pre-test and post-test methods, and simulation methods. The results achieved after the training was carried out were that the trainees experienced increased understanding and skills in the context of indie film post-production, especially in the process of audio-visual films editing. <p><em>This study aims to improve the short service learning outcomes badminton grip backhand by using the application of audio visual media.</em></p><p><em> This research is a Classroom Action Research (PTK). The study was conducted in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of planning, action execution, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study were students which amounted to 34 students consisting of 11 boys and 23 girls. Sources of data is by observation assessment of learning outcomes short serve badminton grip backhand. Data analysis using descriptive technique based on qualitative analysis with percentage.</em></p><p><em> The result of the allasis obtained from Chapter IV shows a gradual increase from the pre-cycle of cycle I and from cycle I of cycle II. This can be seen from the result of short service learning handles backhand show from 34 students there are 11 students or 32.35% complete and Not complete as many as 23 students or equal to 67.65%. Then the short service learning results of backhand handles shown in cycle I showed an increase of sebasar 38.24%, 24 students or 70.59% included in the category Completed and the remaining 10 Learners or 29.41% fall into the Unfinished category. In the second cycle improvement of learning outcomes of students better is equal to 20.59% of the cycle I or 58.83% of prasiklus. A total of 31 learners or equal to 91.18% enter the Taskas category and 3 students or equal to 8.82% into the Unfinished category</em></p><p><em> The conclusion of this research is the application of audio visual media can improve the learning result short service badminton handle backhand</em> .</p>

Kegiatan ini dimulai dengan pengembangan media terlebih dahulu yang menyesuaikan dengan kebutuhan anak-anak baik dari segi gambar, warna, bahasa dan suara yang digunakan. Peserta dalam penyuluhan kesehatan ini terdiri dari sekolah terdekat SD STKIP Muhammadiyah Bangka Belitung diberikan secara offline sedangkan online via zoom dari SD N 4 Tempilang, SD N 13 Tempilang dan SD IT Alam Cahaya Tobolai yang dilaksanakan pada tanggal 17 September 2020 secara bersamaan dengan total 72 peserta terdiri dari siswa dan guru. Setelah diberikan penyuluhan dapat memberikan edukasi untuk menanamkan pehamanan yang kuat dalam menghadapi new normal. Perlunya pemberian edukasi melalui media berbasis audio visual bisa dirasakan bahwasanya covid-19 ini bukanlah sesuatu yang menakutkan sehingga menimbulkan rasa cemas yang berlebihan, tinggal bagaimana kita menyikapinya dengan baik dan mampu menjalankan sesuatunya berdasarkan protokol kesehatan. Kata kunci : kesehatan; masa pandemi dan new normal; media edukatif berbasis audio visual. ABSTRACTThe implementation of this Community Service aims to provide education, especially for children, through health education during the pandemic and new normal using audio-visual based educational methods. Community health education services during the pandemic period is an alternative in providing education on the introduction of health. This activity begins with the development of media in advance that adapts to the needs of the children both in terms of images, colors, language and sounds used. Participants in this health education consisted of the closest school SD STKIP Muhammadiyah Bangka Belitung given offline while online via zoom from SD N 4 Tempilang, SD N 13 Tempilang and SD IT Alam Cahaya Tobolai which was held on September 17, 2020 simultaneously with a total of 72 participants consisted of students and teachers. After being given counseling, it can provide education to instill a strong understanding in facing thenew normal. The need to provide education through audio-visual based media can be felt that Covid-19 is not something scary that causes excessive anxiety, it's just how we react to it and are able to carry out things based on health protocols. The development of joyful and technology-based press is necessary, as well as an implementation of strengthening digital literacy. Madrasah teacher training and assistance need to be carried out to help upgrade their ability to create digital media (audio-visual) that can be applied in the learning process. This Community Service (CS) aims to increase the insight and skills of teachers at SMA Pelita Utama Kepulauan Riau is carried out in the form of digital literacy seminar activities and training in making audio-visual teaching media. The significance and contribution of digital literacy is instilled in madrasah teachers up to the process of making audio-visual media. The results of CS can be seen in the ability of madrasah teachers to create ICT- based media; indications of skills are seen in utilizing several applications, including; canva, toon app, remove background, and recorder. Each of these applications has its function as a medium for formulating teaching materials into audio-visual media.

Guidance and counseling is to improve student’s attitude on school discipline, one of them is information services. The research purpose to test effectiveness of information services with using the audio visual media to improve students attitude on school discipline. This research use quantitative method. Type of this research is Quasi Experiment with Non Equivalent Control Group Design. The population are students at SMP Muhammadiyah Padang Panjang and sample selected with using purposive sampling. The instrument is questionnaire with Likert Scale and tested for validity and reliability. The validity test used Product Moment Correlation with mean correlation coefficient 0.642 and the reliability test used Cronbach's Alpha with r 0.965. Then analysis technique using Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test and Kolmogorov Smirnov 2 Samples Independent using SPSS 20. The results showed that information service with using the audio visual media effective to improve students attitude on school discipline.

This study aims to determine: 1) the effect of the use of audio-visual media on the learning motivation of class IX students in learning the material for taking care of corpses at Al-Maghfiroh Junior High School. 2) the effect of virtual learning on the learning motivation of grade IX students in learning material about taking care of corpses at Al-Maghfiroh Junior High School. 3) the effect of using audio-visual media and virtual learning simultaneously on the learning motivation of class IX students in learning the material for taking care of corpses at Al-Maghfiroh Junior High School. This study uses quantitative research methods with multiple linear regression analysis method. The method of data collection in this study was using a questionnaire. The data was processed using the application of the Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) version 22.0 for Windows. This study used 40 respondents as the research sample. The results of data processing based on multiple linear regression analysis Y= 4.097 + 0.628X1 + 0.430X2, meaning that students' learning motivation is influenced by the use of audio-visual media and virtual learning. From the results of the t-test of the X1 variable, it shows that t count > t table (3.748 > 2.02619) and a significance value of 0.001 <0.05, indicating that there is a significant effect on the X1 variable. Variable X2 shows that t count > t table (3.330 > 2.02619) and a significance value of 0.00 < 0.05, this shows that there is a significant effect on the X2 variable. Simultaneous analysis results show that there is an F count > F table (28,632 > 3,245) and a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, meaning that there is a significant effect. Furthermore, based on the value of the coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.607, this means that 60.70% of students' learning motivation is influenced by the use of audio-visual media and virtual learning and 39.30% is influenced by other factors. So it can be concluded that there is an effect of using audio-visual media and virtual learning on the learning motivation of grade IX students at Al-Maghfiroh Junior High School. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui : 1) pengaruh penggunaan media audio visual terhadap motivasi belajar siswa kelas IX dalam belajar materi tadzhijjul mayyit di MTs Al-Maghfiroh. 2) pengaruh pembelajaran virtual terhadap motivasi belajar siswa kelas IX dalam belajar materi tadzhijjul mayyit di MTs Al-Maghfiroh. 3) pengaruh penggunaan media audio visual dan pembelajaran virtual secara bersamaan terhadap motivasi belajar siswa kelas IX dalam belajar materi tadzhijjul mayyit di MTs Al-Maghfiroh. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode analisis regresi linier berganda. Metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan menggunakan kuesioner.data diproses dengan dengan menggunakan bantuan aplikasi program Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) versi 22.0 for Windows. Penelitian ini menggunakan 40 responden sebagai sampel penelitian. Hasil pengolahan data berdasarkan analisis regresi linier berganda Y= 4,097 + 0,628X1 + 0,430X2, artinya motivasi belajar siswa dipengaruhi oleh penggunaan media audio visual dan pembelajaran virtual. Dari hasil uji uji t variabel X1 menunjukan bahwa t hitung > t tabel (3,748 > 2,02619) dan nilai signifikansi 0,001 < 0,05 menunjukan terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan pada variabel X1. Variabel X2 menunjukan bahwa t hitung > t tabel (3,330 > 2,02619) dan nilai signifikansi 0,00 < 0,05, hal ini menunjukan terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan pada variabel X2. Hasil analisis secara simultan menunjukan bahwa terdapat F hitung > F tabel (28,632 > 3,245) dan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05 artinya terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan. The writing of this scientific article uses descriptive qualitative research methods, focusing on the role of multimedia technology and increasing interest in worship in youth ministry in the church. Multimedia and audio-visual technology in every service is indispensable, including in youth service of youth ministry. Moreover, multimedia technology can make youth worship more attractive and more varied. Multimedia technology can display song lyrics and sermon materials using power points, video clips, or spiritual films that can awaken their faith and be a form of variation in youth worship. Therefore, various worship services will provide enthusiasm and increase interest in worship for young people. AbstrakPada saat ini banyak remaja dan pemuda yang sudah tidak tertarik lagi dalam beribadah. Remaja dan pemuda seringkali beranggapan bahwa pelayanan ibadah di gereja merupakan suatu kegiatan yang tidak menarik dan sangat membosankan. Ibadah yang kurang menarik dan kurang komunikatif akan mempengaruhi antusias jemaat saat mengikuti ibadah, khususnya dalam pelayanan ibadah remaja dan pemuda. Penulisan artikel ilmiah ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif diskriptif, dengan fokus penelitian adalah peran teknologi multimedia dan meningkatkan minat beribadah pada pelayanan remaja dan pemuda di gereja. Teknologi audio visual dan multimedia dalam setiap ibadah sangat diperlukan, termasuk dalam ibadah pelayanan remaja dan pemuda. Teknologi multimedia dapat membuat ibadah remaja dan pemuda lebih menarik dan lebih bervariasi. Teknologi multimedia dapat menayangkan teks lagu, materi khotbah dengan power point, video clip, ataupun film-film rohani yang dapat membangkitkan iman mereka sekaligus menjadi bentuk variasi dalam ibadah remaja dan pemuda. Stunting is caused by a lack of understanding about how to overcome health problems (nutrition intake), therefore it is necessary to prevent stunting as an effort to increase health knowledge through education. Community service aims to find out how education about fulfilling nutrition in efforts to prevent stunting has an impact on increasing knowledge. The method of implementing counseling is carried out through face-to-face meetings and discussions which are considered more effective, where the activity begins with giving a pre-test questionnaire to measure the level of knowledge of mothers of toddlers, then the presentation of the material that takes place allows the audience to pay attention and focus on audio-visual videos regarding nutritional needs. To prevent stunting, evaluation of the results of the activity is carried out by administering a post-test questionnaire in the form of questions regarding the material that has been presented. This community service was carried out on September 18 2023 in Salekoe sub-district, East Wara sub-district, Palopo City, attended by 40 participants, all of whom were mothers of toddlers. The results showed that there was a significant influence on increasing respondents' knowledge before and after being given counseling with a p-value = 0.00 (p<0.05), where there were 20% of respondents who had good knowledge during the pre-test and this increased to 55% of respondents at the time of the post-test, 25% of respondents had sufficient knowledge about stunting at the time of the pre-test and this increased to 32.5% of respondents at the time of the post-test, 55% of respondents had insufficient knowledge at the time of the pre-test and decreased to 12.5% of respondents at the time post-test. The next follow-up is that health workers are expected to be able to use audio-visual videos in efforts to prevent stunting to increase knowledge among mothers of toddlers so that they can reduce the prevalence of stunting.

This type of research is development research by using the ADDIE model. This research aimed to produce products of audio visual media which were valid, practical and effective. The research was conducted at SMA Srijaya Negara Palembang. This research consisted of 5 stages, namely 1) analysis (pre-test and interview with BK teacher), 2) design (making RPL and media manuscript), 3) development (making media, after the media was finished, the researcher conducted validation with three experts: material expert, media expert, language expert and small group test), 4) implementation (field test and post-test), 5) evaluation (strengths and limitations of the media). The results obtained at pretest with materials that can be updated in the future are 47.9% in the "moderate" category, which means that students still need improvement. From the comments and suggestions given by the three experts, the results of the media were valid and appropriate to be tested in a small group trial. The students gave comments and suggestions to improve the video, after which the researcher conducted a field test, the results obtained were 87% "very practical" and in the post-test 88.9% of the" high "category was obtained. The effectiveness of audio visual media obtained by N-Gain was 0.71 which "high" category. From the results of the research, it can be concluded that the classical audio visual service media developed has been valid, practical and effective used in classical service delivery on the career field of future orientation materials.
