Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis thesis puts forward a monographic approach to the career of Peter Guariche, designer-creator of French interior designer assemblies. The "Glorious thirty" represent a decisive turning point for this professional because they coincide with the beginning of industrialization in the furniture sector. The historical and political context explains his involveruent in the creation of full programs of articles intended to furnish standardized Reconstruction housing. He realizes that the mass production furniture, produced by industrial processes and at reasonable prices, can solve the effects of the failure of the policy of the French state, To adjust his "modem" furniture in the plan-type, it is inspired by the production of Arnerican designers and creates innovative standardized and rational objects on a technical and aesthetical level. ln 1954, he solicits Michel Mortier and Joseph-André Motte and creates with them L'Atelier de Recherches Plastiques. They understand that ail three young designers must unite around a common project: promoting their mass production furniture with manufacturers. Thereafter. each of them takes their independence and takes back their respective work. The ncw professional guidance of Pierre Guariche offers him the opportunity to collaborate on original interior architectural programs. stemming from the land use policy. This thesis deals with the social, political and economic contexts in which he practices, but also the facts and actors. which open up future areas to explore in the history of French design
Ollivier, Carine. „Les architectes d'intérieur : division du travail et concurrences“. Versailles-St Quentin en Yvelines, 2010. http://www.theses.fr/2010VERS005S.
Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis dissertation studies the division of labor and competition in the market for project management, focusing on the particular case of interior designers. The first part deals with the birth and development of this professional group. It shows that the relationship between interior designers, architects and decorators have transformed since the 1950s, from non-exclusive periods of ignorance or collaboration, to periods of conflict. In this context the issue of the autonomy of the group of interior designers according to the Anglo-Saxon model of "established professions" appears at a precise moment in its history as a competitive strategy in an oldest division of labor and then as a way for part of the group to reduce the uncertainty in the market for creation and direction of buildings. The second part of the dissertation focuses on how to identify the content and contours of the group, analyzing successive classes that allow the capture and content of the tasks its members perform. The third part deals with this market of services, analyzing the networks of cooperation between interior designers and construction companies, the nature of the relationship of service that this market institutes, and establishes the shape of the careers of these professionals
Grondin, Béatrice. „La Société des artistes décorateurs à l’épreuve de l’institutionnalisation des arts décoratifs en France (1901-2007)“. Electronic Thesis or Diss., Paris 10, 2023. http://www.theses.fr/2023PA100138.
Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis doctoral research focuses on the cultural history of the Société des artistes décorateurs (SAD), a non-profit association recognized as a public utility from 1901 to 2007. The aim is to understand the extent to which the desire for recognition orchestrated by decorative artists was justified and successful. Drawing on a previously unpublished archive held at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, we propose to chronologically capture the various stages in the legitimization process, based on a variety of actions, both vertical (the project to create a state-recognized order of decorators) and horizontal (exhibiting at the Grand Palais on the same footing as other artists' societies). At the heart of the process was the Salon, conceived as a unique space for production (prototypes were created after the Second World War), distribution and reception. Through the organization of its Salons, from 1904 to 2007, the history of SAD is nourished by an aesthetic understanding of the object, articulated to the processes from which it emerged (formation, production, promotion and distribution systems). In the second half of the twentieth century, the field of design expanded. It still includes furniture, ceramics and tapestries, but also walkmans, motorcycles and industrial design. We propose to understand the legitimizing processes of these artistic and utilitarian expressions. However, a figure is emerging and asserting itself, that of the interior architect, whose various aspects we will identify, notably on the basis of a historical semantic analysis. The title of this study, "Putting the institutionalization of the decorative arts in France to the test", clarifies the problem. Institutionalization refers to the process by which the decorative arts are recognized by public authorities and integrated into cultural and social institutions. We will show the processes of institutionalization between entrepreneurial, governmental and corporatist bodies (associations, unions), dialectically articulated with the figure of the individual creator. The aim of our research is also to understand the role of SAD in the historiography of twentieth-century French decorative arts

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleTwo hundred participants from different sectors have made three different experiments (s) to test the hypothesis of applying the methods of engineering to the field of furniture design, as well as the interior design. We obtained a conclusive result from the analysis of the problem, by using the TRIZ in the field of interior design, and by studying the design of furniture. Students are able to design a complete space with specific furniture. The Quality of artifacts (58 artifacts) which are estimated by several experts have induced that the transformation of methods of creativity in the field of furniture's design is a possible hypothesis. The cultural dimension of the project, related to the application of these methods in cooperation with foreign students from several universities of space design, is a compelling argument for supporting creativity's methods as an educational and professional source of the first order

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis paper presents a study on the co-design process in the context of an interior design project with multidisciplinary stakeholders. We focused mainly on the method of participation of stakeholders in the process flow. The purpose of this research is to better understand the roles of different stakeholders in co-design according to their disciplines and in context of different representational tools. The project of the redevelopment of the library HEC Montreal was used for this study where three multidisciplinary groups of participants were mobilized composed of architects, teachers, librarians, professionals, managers, students and designers. We conducted the observation of these three groups during the ideation, where conversations, behaviours and activities of the participants were observed and analyzed. The results suggest a significant difference between the muldisciplinary participants roles based on the use of representational tools, the involvement of the multidisciplinary nature mainly in the earlier phases of collaborative ideation; two types of hierarchies (communicational and creative) emerged from the different roles of the participants. From these results, this study may provide new avenues of research that could further enhance the approach of co-design.
