Han, Xiaomin. „Internationalization through Entering Social Networks“. Electronic Thesis or Diss., université Paris-Saclay, 2024. http://www.theses.fr/2024UPASI007.
Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis dissertation comprises three essays exploring key aspects of brokerage dynamics, insidership acquisition, and the role of social networks in internationalization. Essay 1 delves into brokers' decisions, proposing that their actions hinge on altering power balances between parties. Supported by empirical evidence from case studies of Chinese entrepreneurs in France, the essay elucidates the conditions under which brokers engage with outsiders. Essay 2 shifts focus to brokering outcomes, emphasizing the importance of expectancy and value in shaping local insiders' cooperation. Through interviews with Chinese entrepreneurs and additional data, the study unveils the intricate dynamics of cooperation in cross-cultural contexts. Lastly, Essay 3 conducts a systematic review of social networks' impact on internationalization, highlighting their role in firms' internationalization. By synthesizing insights from existing literature, the essay offers valuable perspectives on the mechanisms driving international business endeavors. Together, these essays contribute to a deep understanding of the complexities inherent in international business interactions

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleBy looking a society issued from the assembling of social spaces by ex-colonial power, this study considers the meaning of behaviours of a whole actors who take part in the (re)construction of the political system, in Mozambique. Two undeniable facts are at heart of Mozambican system. Firstly, the anti-colonial war (1964-1975), leading to independence and the establishment of a single party regime. Secondly, the civil war (1977-1992) which made political decentralisation inevitable as a source of the collective apprenticeship of political representative democracy. The aim of this essays is to highlight two questions: why is it that certain individuals and social groups can manage to place themselves in central positions of power and, by this way, to legitimate political domination ? Secondly, how and why are social forces constrained to turn the accomplishment of political strategies in order to achieve restructuring effects in global society ? By analysis of social networks, we are looking to show that the logic of competitive powers appears in the form of companies and of dynamism of the post-colonial political order

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe objective of this thesis is to study, analyze and develop a multisource system belonging to a DC micro-grid with consideration of some aspects of the power quality. Chapter I presents the interest of the smart grid to ensure better coordination between distributed generation and power consumption. Having in view the prediction, a purely experimental model of photovoltaic source is developed and presented inChapter II. Furthermore, in order to extract the maximum power of the photovoltaic source, a classical algorithm is improved and the extracted energy is compared with three other methods. In Chapter III, the security system elements, the electrochemical storage and the public grid, are characterized. In the case of a storage shortage, the public grid is used to supply power to the load, but also trade back excess energy. Chapter IV presents the control of multisource system and its experimental validation. The energy management strategy taken into account is based on switching between the elements which secure the multisource system. For this, the priority is given to storage characterized by its state of charge. Thanks to this strategy, the technical feasibility of the multisource system is experimentally validated. Chapter V gives some aspects related to the improvement of the power quality: for the public grid side, a resonant controller is proposed, for the DC bus side, the pulsating power is eliminated by injecting the opposite signal supplied by the electrochemical storage
Rua, Linda. „Les réseaux sociaux au cœur du pouvoir : les élites en question“. Thesis, Paris Sciences et Lettres (ComUE), 2019. http://www.theses.fr/2019PSLED069.
Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis thesis explores one of the potential impediments to the development of Madagascar, which has been experiencing a recession and recurrent socio-political crises for sixty years: relations between the elites. Elites’ integration is indeed considered as essential to the stability of democratic regimes. Using a database of unprecedented scope and comprehensiveness, and innovative techniques, we analyse the structure of the global elites’ network and show that elites are globally integrated, but in a very unequal way. Some elite groups (especially those with the most modest social backgrounds) are on the margins of this network; while the most influential and socially advantaged elites hold a privileged place and prefer "keep to themselves". This type of integration has never been described before in the literature. By examining the distribution of elites’ ego-networks, we also find that, despite perceptible signs of compensation for social disadvantages by the network, these disadvantages are reflected in the inequal access to the elite networks. Our results validate the hypothesis of amplification of inequalities by network and show that amplification is partly due to homophilous behaviours and elitist associations and clubs. Finally, we show that these inequalities of access to and integration into the elite network result in unequal access to the highest positions of power. The elite network is indeed one of the main determinants of the level of power of elites, in addition to social background. The relative exclusion of certain elite groups, potentially destabilizing, from the network of the most influential elites and from the highest positions of power is a possible way of explaining the trajectory of Madagascar

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis research highlights how Ancient Egyptians displayed their social position, on the one hand according to the hierarchical relationships between individuals, and on the other hand according to their membership of different groups. Social markers are of both material as well as cultural kinds and can take concrete forms like objects of luxury and prestige, but also as subjective forms, like ways of expressing oneself and behaving through references to a culture developed by the elite. It is not a matter of presenting a complete catalogue here. The intellectual process consists of making understand how individuals, ddepending on their membership of different social classes, used and interpreted marks of identity, power and prestige, which had been created and sustained by the royalty and the elite at their service. Depending on the social importance of individuals, the considered time period, and the ability of the central government to assert itself as a source of legitimacy, personal and collective behaviours were not always the same, and values embodied in objects and manners have changed, as society has evolved. The material and symbolic significance of social markers could have been thrown into question during leadership crisis or on the contrary, it could have been developed by the adoption of references to new sources of power, such as ancestors and local governors during the First Intermediate Period. In this way, cultural imitation allows us to observe how persons who are not linked to the institutional spheres of the State manage to take up the official discourse imposed by the central government after all. This study is divided into three parts: the significance of lineage to assert a social position; the way ones behaves and occupies the space around, in topography or in ceremonial events; the use of objects as signs of social membership et means to express status and identity through material culture

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis thesis addresses the collective identification process that stretched across South-eastern Europe in the 14th – 17th centuries, in terms of the movement and change of its structural elements. It aims to go beyond the static and essentialist vision of collective identity, such as is conceptualized within the framework of contemporary Nation-States, and tailors its methodology appropriately to the study of the collective identifications specific to pre-national societies. The thesis is built around the clearly defined spaces of the Orthodox Countries of Wallachia and Moldavia, and the waves of South Danube immigration (illustrated by a prosopographical register of 4000 individuals) attracted by the two countries ever since their founding. Wallachia and Moldavia, as immigration countries (non-institutionalized), were selected as observation areas in relation to their otherness, the depiction of reference groups of categorical type (Greeks, Albanians, Serbs, Bulgarians, Vlachs), the identification practices of the groups and their members and, thus, the social and bureaucratic use of collective nouns. Particular attention has been paid to the role of the State structured around rule by divine right embodied by the autocratic sovereign in the management of collective differences (linguistic, geo-spatial, legal) found within its jurisdiction. The aim was also to show if and how the state could affect the process of the socialization of the individual in the specificity of one or another group of reference. The study referred to migrants and their descendants, caught between their social world of origin and that of their place of arrival
