In fact, enterprise activities involve exchange, circulation and preparation of a large amount of information and documents. In this work, we focus on document preparation. We propose an approach for computer assisted document preparation consisting on re-using knowledge elements extracted from existing documents. These may be re-used in preparing a wide variety of documents such as product specifications and design. This approach is efficient only when documents are available in electronic format. Then, we propose an architecture of an open document information system which enhances support of electronic documents. This architecture is based on SGML and ODA which are the main international standards in the field of document representation. We also propose a framework for formalizing, capitalizing and re-using knowledge in order to support assisted document authoring

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleHere are studied five patterns of recommendations on how to teach essay-writing in french schools, over the last century. 1. The first pattern, which appeared about 1870-1880, recommended that pupils "reproduced" from memory a text which had been studied before. This pattern is characteristic of primary school teaching methods till about 1960, and is representative of a submission to the teacher's word and of a formal mode of knowledge. 2. The second pattern demanded faithful observation of reality, through a systematic use of the five senses. The description of things only rested on the observation of reality, but, at the same time, the pupils were to show that they had a personal vision of what they observed. This pattern, which appeared in treatrises written about 1900, has prevailed in secondary schools until today. 3. In the 1920's, a "heretical" school-master, Célestin Freinet, promoted what he called "free-text". This pattern is studied here from the texts written by Freinet, in the light of his political engagements and social views. 4. In 1970, a committee set up by the french Ministry of Education worked out a "plan to reform the teaching of french in elementary schools". This plan recommended a process conceived "dialectically" as an alternation of "freeing" and "structuring". An experiment was carried out in some schools, and the results were published in a review, reperes. 5. In 1974, a small group of secondary school teachers launched a review, pratiques, in which new activities of essay-writing were described. These activities were based upon recent linguistic theories of textual grammar and upon literary theories borrowed from the nouveau roman. The authors of pratiques soon became university professors and the review has become a sprinboard of what is called the didactics of french as mother tongue

The parties concerned have to decide whether or not the agreement should be a written one. If so, the person in charge of drawing up the document, professional or otherwise, will need to be chosen. The actual writing will also have to be carried out using the most efficient method. These several decisions have a common aim: producing a commercial lease which reflects the interests of all parties concerned and precludes any possible litigation. Should the document contain any technical faults or imperfections, infelicitous consequences would ensue, causing the contract to become nul and void or engaging the responsibility of the person who drew it up. Close scrutiny of the problems inherent in this procedure shows how necessary thorough knowledge and mastery of the subject is, in order to prevent damaging errors from occurring, detrimental to all parties in the lease. Although few authors have shown an interest in the drawing up of commercial leases, it is here demonstrated to be a worthwile subject, as it is an activity practised dally by a variety of members of the legal professions, and used by judges to reach their decisions in court. It would therefore seem advisable to define a professional status and provide recognition for those who draw up commercial leases

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThrough questionnaires, analyses, experiments and experimentations, the author shows that composition titles are too sketchy to allow the learner to visualize distinctly and adequately the task to accomplish. The thesis examines, analyses composition titles which are frequently in use in secondary schools. It suggests an operational definition of composition titles in the learning teaching of composition : a composition title imagined and worded with rationality should be composed of a theme, a prescription and an instruction. In general, the function of the theme is to define the scription referential-universe, the prescription describes the task and the instruction shows the way to accomplish the task. This thesis shows how and why teachers should be conceiving and dealing with the communicative and didactic composition titles. In fact, under certain curcumstances, teachers give evidence of one being able to produce composition titles which are more expressive than those which one frequently finds in the school environment. The author also experiments with didactic material (which relates to composition titles) and presents his approach. The more neatly the composition titles are presented, the more pupils have a tendency to produce successful compositions. Furthermore, a clearly stated composition title provides the teacher with realistic and objective criteria for the assessment of the exercise problem (which composition stands for)

This research is founded on this observation. Searching for amongst various things, the role of translation in the advertisement discourse, we suggest one use of the Interpretative Theory (ESIT) for this specific discourse and put forward an answer to the question: Can Advertisements Be Translated ? At the heart of this reflection, there is the question of the impossibility to translate an advertisement. This leads us to tackle in detail, not only the value and interest of the word for word method of translation, but also the specificity of the cultural element of advertisement either at the content or the form level. We suggest one way of approaching the translation of culture which allows one to envisage the possibility to translate advertisements

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleIt's an experiment aiming to further fiction writing by "failing" pupils of the observation cycle (6e 5e). We must try and define a "bad" pupil is. Then it seems that their failure may be caused by a wrong evaluation of their learning situation. The failing pupils are then subjected to a teaching of writing with iconic support. Every one of their writings is preceded by a drawing on the same subject. This drawing is supposed to be a sort of catalyst of imagination, a mental preparation to the proceeding writing. This practice is most beneficial for bad pupils. Besides its helps to detect in them the possibility of a Freudian phantasm, "the family romance". This second way is then explored and the fantasy of the "foudling" directly solicited in good and bad pupils writings. The analysis of the writings emphasizes the obvious difference which exists between those two sorts of pupils. Whereas the bad pupils show originality and write personal fiction with a lot of unconscious imaginary, the good pupils tend to show conformist banality. The hypothesis is that bad pupils let their imaginary and fantasmatic activity free in their writing, whereas the good ones, paying more. .

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleLe présent texte a pour objectif d'exposer mes contributions aux domaines de la modélisation, de la simulation et de l'aide à la conception des MEMS. Il s'articule comme suit :
• Au premier chapitre, un panorama du domaine des MEMS et de leur physique est ébauché. Les difficultés dont il a été question plus haut y sont mises en relief.
• Le deuxième chapitre porte sur le traitement du couplage entre phénomènes physiques, dans un contexte de modélisation. Mes travaux de thèse y sont présentés. Ce chapitre aborde aussi le thème de la non-linéarité, inhérente à la physique des MEMS, dont le traitement, en simulation, s'apparente à celui du couplage.
• Le troisième chapitre montre comment les incertitudes et non-linéarités intrinsèques aux MEMS et les contraintes de la micro-électronique imposent le choix de certaines architectures de microsystèmes. Des méthodes d'identification à partir de données binaires, ainsi que plusieurs méthodes d'analyse des systèmes mixtes à comparateurs, y sont présentées.
• Enfin, au quatrième chapitre, je donne quelques pistes de développement de ces travaux.

Yet, those lessons have incredible content, and are an amazing resource. Furthermore, more and more, efforts are made toward numerising learning. The goal of this thesis is to improve online exam monitoring. Indeed, one of the strong points of the internet is anonymity, and attesting the success and skills of someone quickly becomes non-trivial. Moreover, the only commonly accessible tools available for surveillance are the camera, and the user’s keyboard / mouse which gives very sparse information. To do so, we used the most up-to-date tracking, recognition, generation and analysis techniques to introduce automation and «intelligence» in the surveillance. Note that even for a human this task is difficult and that to decide if a behavior is abnormal is not deterministic. The goal is therefore to provide help and support to bring large-scale examination monitoring to a safer level. The method described is based on the advances in artificial intelligence, particularly generative adversials network (GANs), reinforcement learning (RL) convolution neural networks (CNN) and recurrent neural networks (RNN).

The learning includes two dimensions; human dimension and pedagogic one. The human dimension includes the learner and the teacher. The pedagogic dimension represented in curriculum set by the educational establishment; it is the know. The learner is going to transform the know into knowledge. Thus the know and the knowledge are two notions completely different. The distance between both is the distance between what the teacher presents (the know) and what the learner acquires (the knowledge). The quality of the learning concerns the learners who go to the school to acquire the know. In fact, learning consists in interiorizing the know. This internalization requires the efforts for persistent intellectual change and demands continuity based on past experiences. The acquisition of knowledge and its transformation into knowledge by the learner is influenced by several factors that affect positively or negatively on the quantity and quality of this knowledge. The confusion between the know and the knowledge guide the learner to value or to ignore his knowledge. The knowledge construction process by the diffused know requires an constant evaluation process. The process of evaluation then appreciates the structure of knowledge to make decisions intended to make it evolve. However, during an evaluation, the confusion between knowledge and knowledge can bring learner to value the score so neglecting the importance which he must give for the transformation knowledge process in favor of the highest possible fidelity of knowledge. This confusion can be detected provided that the evaluation includes a processual dimension. Therefore, the evaluation may be better associated with improvement actions and transformation of knowledge. Then the evaluation can be addressed in a logical decision support. Therefore In this research we demonstrate that the learning situation is a decision aiding situation

The interest in obtaining communications that are better adapted to the general public has prompted the publication of Plain Language writing manuals. Recent research in writing theory and methods shows that such manuals only prove to be effective when they provide writing advice that focuses on a series of factors related to legibility and on others related to readability. I conjecture, in reference, moreover, to my experience as copywriter, that most writing manuals accord more importance to recommendations related to legibility than to those concerning readability. To test my hypothesis, I analyzed 275 recommendations taken from 5 Canadian manuals. The objective of this descriptive study is to contribute to the advancement of knowledge about plain language communications targeted at the general public.

La sensibilisation de l’État et de l’entreprise aux niveaux d’alphabétisme de la population favorise l’essor du mouvement pour la simplification des communications. Cet intérêt pour des communications mieux adaptées au grand public a conduit à la publication de guides d’aide à la rédaction en langue claire et simple. Selon les récents travaux en rédactologie, de tels guides ne peuvent s’avérer efficaces que s’ils présentent des conseils d’écriture correspondant tant aux facteurs propres à la lisibilité qu’à ceux propres à l’intelligibilité. Notre intuition, doublée de notre expérience comme rédactrice, nous incite à penser que, dans la plupart des guides, on accorde plus d’importance aux recommandations liées à la lisibilité qu’à celles relatives à l’intelligibilité. Aussi avons-nous analysé 275 recommandations tirées de 5 guides canadiens pour confirmer ou infirmer notre hypothèse. Par cette étude, de nature descriptive, nous souhaitons contribuer à l’avancement des connaissances sur la simplification des communications destinées au grand public.

I conjecture, in reference, moreover, to my experience as copywriter, that most writing manuals accord more importance to recommendations related to legibility than to those concerning readability. To test my hypothesis, I analyzed 275 recommendations taken from 5 Canadian manuals. The objective of this descriptive study is to contribute to the advancement of knowledge about plain language communications targeted at the general public.

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe present thesis stems from and further develops one part of a joint ministerial project entitled "The quality of Language Commonly Used by the French Public Service Administration. ", a project in which we took part in 2001-2002. Our research team compiled a Practical Guide to Public Service Writing, based on three distinct data corpuses: letters sent by the Public Service, recordings of receiver interpretations when reading this correspondence, and recording of round table discussions with the writers themselves. These corpuses represent the link between the aforementioned project and our thesis, the presentation of wich follows the chronological order of our work. Therefore, the first part of this study presents a summery of the joint ministerial project and specifies several theoretical points of reference upon wich our research team's data analyses were based. Criticism of a theoretical nature subsequently emerged, orienting additional analyses. Secondly, we attempt to situate the written communication (letters) between the Public Service and its users in a theoretical interdisciplinary framework, involving sociology, linguistics, and psychology. The third part of our thesis brings together three additional analyses of the corpuses. We consider that each discourse (that of the sender, that of the texts themselves, and that of the receiver) provides us with information on how the Public Administration and those using its services relate to one another. - In the letters, our analysis of the 'predominant' discourse describes the conventions and the articulation characteristic of 'statutory' writing, followed by a textual analysis of the various types of discourse. - Our analysis of 'user feedback' corpus reveals certain processes of reconstructing meaning wich allow us to identify and delineate different patterns of interpretation. - The analysis of the 'writer feedback' corpus informs us more specifically about the social representations of Public Administration writers

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe notion of plain law has emerged at the forefront of the legal scene to meet the worrying complexity of our law, due to many causes. This complexity brings about diverse detrimental consequences in terms of legal insecurity but also from an economic point of view as far as the attractiveness of a country is concerned. Such a situation thus reveals a drift in the making of the law, resulting from the functioning and “pathogenic” behaviours of our institutions. However the law is supposed to beclear, accurate, general, concrete, accessible and comprehensible; it should not be obscure, arcane, abstract and complex. In some cases judges can even be held responsible for its deterioration. But they now have decided to sanction the complexity of the law. The constitutional judge has come to censor too complex texts as he controls the law a priori, all the more so as he can find new tools in the new a posteriori control of the law. For this he uses essential applications of the principle of legal security such as predictability, accessibility and standard stability. The lawmaker uses the notion of plain law despite there being no clear legal definition whose very absence hampers the implementation of plain law. In the array of tools used in France to simplify the law and face the excessive production of legal documents there is primarily codification whose purpose is to make the law more simple, more accessible and better quality. But for the time being many flaws are preventing it from accomplishing its mission thoroughly. Besides it has limits in that it only concerns laws currently in force. However in the name of the principle of legal security and the ule of law, the aim of plain law does not consist in merely adjusting legal documents a posteriori but derives from mechanisms intervening upstream in the lawmaking process through the addition of quality requirements to the drafting of the law standard. Thus, in the very drafting of the law, the science of legislation from both a formal and material point of view can deliver an attempt at developing principles of good legislation so as to restore the force of the law
