A 12-item self-report scale was developed to assess the degree to which people become anxious when others observe or evaluate their physiques. The Social Physique Anxiety Scale (SPAS) demonstrated both high internal and test-retest reliability. It also correlated appropriately with concerns regarding others' evaluations and with feelings about one's body. Validity data showed that women who scored high on the SPAS were heavier and had a higher percentage of body fat than those who scored lower. In addition, high scorers reported significantly greater anxiety during a real evaluation of their physiques, further supporting the validity of the scale. Possible uses of the SPAS in basic research involving physique anxiety and in applied fitness settings are discussed.

Une méthode a été mise au point afin de produire, par fabrication additive (FA), un modèle physique du Parc national de Nanda Devi (PNND), site qui figure sur la Liste du patrimoine naturel mondial de l’UNESCO, afin de faciliter la communication entre les parties qui interviennent dans la gestion de la conservation de ce parc. Les données obtenues par SIG fournissent des valeurs d’élévation pour la surface du terrain uniquement et ne sont pas définies en 3D. Le fichier de format DEM ASCII XYZ est converti au format STL, en 3D, avec une base et des côtés. Les lacunes et les singularités dans les données sont prises en compte. La méthode par fabrication additive ouvre de vastes possibilités pour la conservation et la réhabilitation des sites de l’UNESCO. À partir de cette méthode, un modèle physique du PNAD a été créé. Le modèle a énormément de potentiel pour le suivi à long terme des sites du patrimoine mondial et de la chaine himalayenne. Il peut servir de moyen de communication efficace pour les gestionnaires de la conservation. Des modèles physiques des bassins des vallées glaciaires ou du pic de la Nanda Devi enrichiraient encore nos connaissances. Le travail de recherche pourrait s’étendre à la fabrication de modèles de plus grandes dimensions du PNND, ou à la modélisation de zones plus petites du PNND, en consultation avec les parties concernées.

Individuals who believe that they will be judged by others to be ineffective are less likely to be engaged in physical activity programs. Across the world, social media usage has become a very common leisure activity; however, its excessive use may lead to its misuse or social media addiction. This abuse of social media in turn may affect one's self-efficacy; giving birth to several issues such as increased appearance-related consciousness and social physique anxiety. Therefore, the purpose of the study was to examine the direct and indirect relationship of social media addiction with appearance-related consciousness and social physique anxiety through self-efficacy as a mediator among young adults. A convenient sample of 200 young adults fulfilling the criteria of social media addiction was selected from different universities in Islamabad, Pakistan. To assess the study variables, Berger Social Media Addiction Scale (BSMAS), Appearance-Related Social Media Consciousness (ASMC) scale, Social Physique Anxiety Scale (SPAS), and Generalized Self Efficacy Scale (GSE) were used. The study concluded significant relationships between the study variables. Social media addiction was significantly and positively found to be related to both appearance-related consciousness and social physique anxiety. Moreover, Self-efficacy was negatively related to appearance-related consciousness and social physique anxiety. In addition, mediation analysis found that self-efficacy is not a significant mediator between social media addiction, appearance-related consciousness, and social physique anxiety. The findings of this study highlighted how addictive use of social media can increase serious issues among today's youth. Awareness programs regarding social media use should be conducted to mitigate such concerns.

Dancers, like other athletes and performers, are faced with the pressure to obtain a particular body shape and size that stems from varied etiological factors (e.g., personality characteristics, demands of the dance environment) (Robson, 2002). This study examined specific concerns for college dancers by utilizing quantitative and qualitative forms of inquiry. The purpose of the initial phase was to assess weight-related pressures, social physique anxiety, and disordered eating in college female modern dancers (N=107) using the Weight Pressure in Dance (Reel & Gill, 1996), Social Physique Anxiety Scale (Hart, Leary, & Rejeski, 1989), and The Eating Disorder Inventory (Garner, 1991). An overwhelming majority (76%) of the dancers reported pressures to lose weight with the most commonly cited stressor being the mirror followed by costumes, performance advantage, comparison to other dancers, and landing the best roles. The mean social physique anxiety score was moderate, but 35 dancers exhibited a high degree of social physique anxiety. In addition, the dancers had a lower tendency toward disordered eating compared to college females (Garner, 1991). The second phase of the study confirmed that modern dancers experience unique pressures. Through qualitative inquiry, the participants’ individualized experiences related to body image and the culture of modern dance could be shared.

In addition, interviews were conducted with independent food truck founders and owners in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This study yielded results that showed respondents' interest in physique brand identity persuasion in social media platforms. Creating an excellent physique brand identity persuasion recognized by its customers through social media has become an important activity for food truck (FT) owners to communicate their brand digitally.

The practice of many branches of animal husbandry has accumulated some experience in the use of various feed additives by extensive mechanisms of their action. In pig farming, there are many studies on the use of natural adsorbents in pig diets, such as natural zeolites and others. One of such preparations is an active coal feed additive (ACUD), which is a highly dispersed porous material with a unique ability to sorb significant amounts of substances of various chemical nature. To study the effect of ACUD on productive qualities, body measurements and biochemical parameters of piglets' blood during rearing and fattening, scientific and economic experiments were conducted on 3 groups of weaned piglets formed according to the principle of groups of analogues, 10 heads each. The experiment was conducted for 150 days. Studies have found that the addition of AUCD to the diets of young pigs had a positive effect on the dynamics of the live weight of piglets during their rearing and fattening. Studies have found that the live weight of piglets of the 2nd experimental group was higher than in the control group by 4.24% and 2.3% compared to animals of the 1st experimental group. Comparison of measurements by groups showed that different dosages of the supplement had a negligible effect on the proportions of the physique of the experimental calves. Biochemical blood parameters of piglets of experimental groups were within acceptable physiological norms.

Self-compassion has demonstrated many psychological benefits (Neff, 2009). In an effort to explore self-compassion as a potential resource for young women athletes, we explored relations among self-compassion, proneness to self-conscious emotions (i.e., shame, guilt-free shame, guilt, shame-free guilt, authentic pride, and hubristic pride), and potentially unhealthy self-evaluative thoughts and behaviors (i.e., social physique anxiety, obligatory exercise, objectified body consciousness, fear of failure, and fear of negative evaluation). Young women athletes (N = 151; Mage = 15.1 years) participated in this study. Self-compassion was negatively related to shame proneness, guilt-free shame proneness, social physique anxiety, objectified body consciousness, fear of failure, and fear of negative evaluation. In support of theoretical propositions, self-compassion explained variance beyond self-esteem on shame proneness, guilt-free shame proneness, shame-free guilt proneness, objectified body consciousness, fear of failure, and fear of negative evaluation. Results suggest that, in addition to self-esteem promotion, self-compassion development may be beneficial in cultivating positive sport experiences for young women.

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study is to estimate the reliability of the French version of the M.F.A.Q. method, a tool used to measure the physical health of the elderly. During the survey, four interviewers assessed 15 subjects each by using the M.F.A.Q. Following this, all 60 participants were evaluated two months later, this time without the subjects being present. In addition, a geriatric specialist also assessed the 60 questionnaires a posteriori. The results show an intra-rater reliability (a 96% performance rate within a 1-point difference on a scale of 6) and an inter-rater reliability (Kappas, on a scale from good to moderate; alpha of Cronbach = 0.93) which were acceptable. An analysis of the covariance reveals that age does not figure in the judgments. The authors express certain reservations, but conclude that this instrument of measurement is flexible, easy to administer, in addition to its metrological properties being satisfactory.

The purpose of this study was to examine whether or not the social physique anxiety level and gender have an influence on psychological characteristics and health related behavior of adolescents. Five hundred and ninety eight female (Mage= 14.95,SD= .70 years) and three hundred and eighty four male (Mage= 15.08,SD= .76 years) adolescents voluntarily participated in this study. The Social Physique Anxiety Scale (SPAS), three subscales of the Physical Self-Description Questionnaire, and the Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale as indicators of psychological characteristics were administered to all participants. The Eating Attitude Test and Physical Activity Assessment Questionnaire were used to determine health related behavior. It was found that adolescents with high levels of SPA (HSPA) had more unfavourable eating attitudes, higher scores in socially-prescribed perfectionism, negative global physical self-worth and negative body related perceptions than those with low levels of SPA (LSPA). Physical activity levels of adolescents did not differ in the two SPA groups (high/low level). In addition, male adolescents in the present study were more physically active and had favorable eating attitudes and more positive self-perceptions of body fat and general physical self-worth than their female counterparts.

In Korea, the prevalence rate of hypertension among people aged over 30 is on an upward trend, which increased from 26.2% in 2008 to 28.3% in 2018. This hovers above the global morbidity rate of hypertension. As hypertension is the cause of cerebrovascular or cardiovascular diseases, early treatment and management are critical. Also, while there has been numerous research conducted on exercise intervention, the number of studies done on hypertension and physical fitness falls far below. To identify the relationship between health and physical fitness depending on the blood pressure levels of Korean seniors, the physical fitness test results of the National Fitness Award 100 conducted in 2017 were used, and blood pressure level, physique, and physical fitness data of 17,110 elderly population aged above 65 were analyzed. IBM Statistics SPSS 25.0 was used to process the collected data. Due to the gender difference in blood pressure levels, physique, and physical strength, the analysis was conducted by each gender, and the analysis of variance (ANOVA) was performed to identify the differences in physique and physical strength depending on the blood pressure level. Also, Tukey’s HDS test was conducted if such differences were found. All analyzes were tested at the significance level (α) of 0.05. As a result of comparing the physique factors by blood pressure level, only males showed a significant difference between groups in terms of height(p = .019), and higher blood pressure implied greater height. Also, for both genders, those with high blood pressure appeared to have greater body weight(p < .001), body fat percentage(p < .001), BMI(p < .001), waist circumference(p < .001), and waist-to-height ratio(p < .001),. In addition, as the result of comparing health-related physical strength and skill-related physical strength by blood pressure level, males showed a significant difference only in muscular strength(p = .026) and flexibility(p < .001), while females showed a significant difference between groups in terms of cardiovascular endurance(p < .001), muscular strength(p = .025), muscular endurance(p < .001), balance, and motor coordination except for flexibility. Holistically, males only showed a significant difference in muscular strength and flexibility while females appeared to have a significant difference between groups in all categories except flexibility, which can be considered that physical fitness factors influence the blood pressure of females more than males.

Le but de cette étude est la valorisation des résidus minéraux en tant que substitution partielle du ciment qui entre dans la fabrication du béton. Il s'inscrit dans une démarche de développement durable. Il regroupe les résultats obtenus expérimentalement. L'utilisation des poudres de marbre en remplacement partiel du ciment Portland dans le béton permet de réduire les émissions de gaz à effet de serre et génère un béton ayant un impact moindre sur l'environnement. En mettant à profit diverses techniques expérimentales, une attention particulière est accordée au comportement de la poudre de marbre finement broyée associée au ciment Portland avec addition de calcaire. Cette étude a confirmé l’amélioration des propriétés physiques des bétons avec l’ajout de poudre de marbre, ce qui laisse augurer de bonnes perspectives pour son utilisation comme substituant de ciment.

A growing body of evidence suggests that the prevalence of eating disorders and excessive concerns regarding body weight in certain subpopulations of female athletes are increasing. The pressure on female athletes to improve their performances and physiques, coupled with the general sociocultural demand placed on all women to be thin, often results in attempts to achieve unrealistic body size and body weight goals. For some female athletes the pressure to achieve and maintain a low body weight leads to potentially harmful patterns of restrictive eating or chronic dieting. This paper seeks to further delineate the characteristics of a recently identified subclinical eating disorder in female athletes:anorexia athletica. Research studies that support the existence of subclinical eating disorders will be reviewed. In addition, the possible physiological and psychological consequences of subclinical eating disorders will be explored.

This report concerns a head-on collision accident of a motorcycle at a very high speed (c. 80–100 Km/h) against a bonnet-type automobile, in which both the motorcyclist and pillion rider were injured at the base of the skull by violent anteroflexion of the head due to the force of inertia. A difference in their injuries was: the motorcyclist sustained a ‘ring’ fracture and the pillion rider an atlanto-occipital avulsion; dural tear. Anteroflexion without impact on the occiput such as described above seems to be a rare causal mechanism of the ‘ring’ fracture. In addition, the mode of action of the accelerating forces to the heads of the victims along with their physiques may explain the mechanism which caused the different injuries in this accident.

The photonic's method is used in the study of monocristalline silicon solar cell (N+P). The induced photocurrent in the cell is analyzed with respect to the technological parameters such as the optical absorption coefficient of silicon and the emitter and base thickness. The spatial and frequential variations of the photocurrent of the cell, when the latter is illuminated by a sinusoidal modulated light, allow access to the diffusion length and lifetime of the minority carriers generated in a given region of the cell. In this paper, the physical parameters related to the base region are determined. In addition, this access is shown to be possible only when the total photocurrent of the cell is reduced to the base diffusion photocurrent.

The purpose of the study was to determine some constitutional features of the histological structure of the human knee menisci. Material and methods. Internal and external menisci of both knee joints of 84 corpses of men aged from 32 to 55 years were studied. After a standard fixation of the biological material, meniscus sections were prepared at the level of their anterior and posterior horns, and of the body. Then pre-stained hematoxylin-eosin prepared histological specimens were subjected to a survey microscopy, description and morphometry of the cuts of knee joint meniscus specimens. For the individualizing the revealed features, anthropometric research was carried out with all the investigated objects, followed by self-typing using the W.L.Rees-N.J.Eysenck method. Results. As a result of the study, the presence of age-specific features of the histological structure of the meniscus was established. In addition, it is proved that menisci of knee joints of men of picnic type of constitution, in contrast to representatives of other types of physique, are subject to structural changes in the histological pattern at the level of the hindbust. For men of asthenic type of physique, such changes at the level of the anterior horn of the meniscus are characteristic in comparison with other sites of the meniscus. Conclusion. Traumatologists and sports physicians can use the revealed features of the histological structure of meniscus knee joints in men of different body types at the stages of diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the knee joints, as well as in the development of measures to prevent the development of destructive changes in them. In addition, research data may influence the choice of certain rehabilitation exercises that help strengthen specific areas of the ligamentous apparatus of the knee joints of patients who have damaged menisci.

Cette étude s’inscrit dans le contexte de la valorisation des espèces végétales spontanées ayant des valeurs nutritives et économiques afin de contribuer à leur domestication. Cette étude a consisté à tester les capacités germinatives des graines de l’Ampelocissus multistriata par les procédés physiques, chimiques et mécaniques d’une part et tester l’aptitude au bouturage des tiges feuillées, des tiges feuillées avec des racines tubéreuses d’autre part. Pour cela, une surface de 400 m2 a été délimitée au sein de la Faculté des Sciences Exactes et Appliquées de l’Université de N’Djamena pour les deux tests. Par ailleurs, les procédés physiques, chimiques et mécaniques ont été menés à l’Université de Ouagadougou. Les résultats obtenus, ont montré que les tiges feuillées n’ont pas bouturé. Par contre, les tiges feuillées munies des racines tubéreuses ont bouturé à 73,23 %. En ce qui concerne la germination des graines, tous les procédés des traitements physiques, chimiques et mécaniques n’ont pas pu lever la dormance de ces graines. Leurs téguments, très durs, n’ont pas été scarifiés et cela n’a pas permis à l’eau et l’oxygène d’y entrer pour que les graines puissent germer. Seules, les graines ayant séjourné dans le tube digestif des animaux et qui ont été scarifiées par les enzymes intestinales et les sucs digestifs ont toutes germé. Il s’agit d’une endozoochorie. La connaissance des modalités de la propagation par les graines ou par les boutures peut apporter une importante contribution à la conservation de la diversité végétale, à la domestication et à la valorisation de cette plante.
English title: Germinative capacity of seeds and aptitude for cutting of stems, tuberous roots of the species Ampelocissus multistriata (Baker) Planch
This study is part of the context of valuing spontaneous plant species with nutritional and economic values in order to contribute to their domestication. This study consisted in testing the germination capacities of the seeds of Ampelocissus multistriata by physical, chemical and mechanical methods on the one hand and testing the aptitude for cuttings of leafy stems, leafy stems with tuberous roots on the other hand. For this, an area of 400 m2 has been defined within the Faculty of Exact and Applied Sciences of the University of N’Djamena for the two tests. In addition, the physical, chemical and mechanical processes were carried out at the University of Ouagadougou. The results obtained showed that the leafy stems did not cuttings. In contrast, the leafy stems with tuberous roots cut at 73.23%. Regarding seed germination, not all physical, chemical and mechanical treatment processes were able to break the dormancy of these seeds. Their very hard seed coats were not scarified, and this did not allow water and oxygen to enter them for the seeds to germinate. Only the seeds which have stayed in the digestive tract of animals and which have been scarified by intestinal enzymes and digestive juices have all germinated. It is an endozoochory. Knowing the methods of propagation by seeds or cuttings can make an important contribution to the conservation of plant diversity, to the domestication and enhancement of this plant.

Physiological changes occurring with physical activity have played role in appearance of a different field of study. Thus, examination of the effect of eight-week exercise program on SPA in adult males forms the purpose of the study. 20 sedentary males aged 18-25 voluntarily participated in the research. Volunteers were applied resistance exercise at a severity of 40-60% for eight weeks. All participants were made to fill out Social Physique Anxiety Scale (SPAS) 8 weeks before starting and after the exercises. SPSS package program (version 15.0) and wilcoxon signed-rank test of non-parametric tests were used in data analysis. Changes, which occurred in strength following eight-week exercise program, were found to be statistically significant at levels varying from p≤0.05 to p≤0.01 in various movements used in the exercise. A difference at a rate of p≤0.05 occurred in body weight. A statistically significant difference occurred before and after the eight-week exercise according to SPAS survey data of the participants (P≤0.05). As a consequence, it is possible to state that the exercise program we applied had positive effect on strength. In addition, the positive difference which occurred when SPAS preliminary and final data were compared can be considered together with the increase in strength and hence, physical appearances.

Planetary research (or planetology) is a pluridisciplinary domain, which requires not only the competence of astronomers, but also of geophysicists, of mineralogists, of climatologists, of biologists, of chemists, of physicists, of “pure„ mathematicians, and many other scientists. Many results are at the boundary of those of other commissions such as the 15, 20, 7, 19, 33, 40, 44, 49 and 51 ones. The study of the main results obtained during this last triennum shows a perfect complementarity between space and ground-based observations. It should be arbitrary to separate space and ground-based scientists. The have the same goal and they study the same objects. Quite often, the same individuals use both techniques, depending on the most efficient one for the problem under study. It is remarkable to see that space data collected more than ten years ago are still analysed in connection with ground-based observations. The same remarks can apply for ground-based data. The article presents the results of studies of the growth and development of purebred and crossbred lambs of the Kazakh fat-tailed coarse-wooled breed. The live weight of purebred and crossbred Kazakh fat-tailed coarse-wooled lambs at birth and during the growing period was at a satisfactory level. The live weight of the experimental purebred and crossbred lambs of the Kazakh fat-tailed coarse-wooled breed at birth was in the range of 4.1-4.5 kg, on the 20th, 60-120th day respectively, 8.2-9.1, 16.8-17.9 and 31.5-34.4 kg. The average milk yield of purebred ewes was 25.85 kg, of crossbreeds – 27.5 kg. The average daily gain in live weight of purebred lambs for 60 days was 211.7-245.2 g and 223.3-275.0 g, that is, the difference was observed within 33.5 and 51.7 g or 15.8-23.1 %. In addition, the article calculates and presents measurements and physique indices of lambs at birth and at the age of 4.5 months.

Complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS) in children has specific features that distinguish it from the adult form. In addition, there are no specific data on possible manifestations, diagnostic criteria and therapeutic aspects of this pathology. Depending on the severity of symptoms, CRPS leads to functional disorders of the body, a decrease in the quality of life. The research includes a case report of a patient with CRPS in the distal segment of the limb (foot); the diagnosis was made 4 months earlier and the patient responded well to the treatment. The Authors also speculate about CRPS determinants. In the reported case, the combination of following factors was revealed: a pathological relationship in the talonavicular and calcaneal junction (vertical talus) making the normal biomechanical movements in the foot impossible; trauma; hypersthenic physique of a child with pronounced subcutaneous fat in the foot as well. No genetic criteria or significant neurological abnormalities were identified in the patient. Undoubtedly, the causes and ways of CRPS occurrence in children should be carefully studied by pediatricians as well as experts in other fields.

To work on the selection of a new intra-breed type, specimens corresponding to classes 1 and 2 were selected from the head reservoir of the fish farm. Specimens of class 1 accounted for 2.6% of all selected fish. The analysis of the exterior showed that as a result of the lack of selection and mating disorderly, the physique of the fish changed. It deviated and is closer to the wild Amur carp. In males, the length index increased by 21.30%, the body became longer and smaller. In females, the same changes are observed in exterior, in addition, there is a decrease in fertility, since in the studied population the correlation between progenity and fecundity is 0.42-0.72. The relative growth of the main exterior features has decreased.

Fancy pigeons are huge in number in the world. This is very tough to come into a concrete solution on their specific numbers. From the wild rock-pigeon, all fancy pigeons have been evolved. Taxonomically, all fancy pigeons are breed but on the basis of the information of many books, pigeons could be classified into the following terms (race, strain, variety, type). The quantitative method ensured the actual number of the fancy pigeons of the world and qualitative survey showed their differentiating characteristics. Many old and new books, online supplements, articles, reports, and oral communication helped a lot for understanding the history and ensured 116 fancy pigeons in the world based on their physique, exceptional colour, voice, and behaviour. In this number of pigeons, races were 8, strain 1, breeds 57, varieties 45, and types 5 (Table 2; Figure 2). In addition, mentionable groups were consisted of eight― performing, structured, meat, coloured, feathered, trumpet, cropper, and wattled (Table 1). The highest members (44 pigeons) were in performing group (flying tumbler, show tumbler, racing, and flying) (Table 1; Figure 1). In fact, pigeon keepers did not bother about the scientific classification of their pigeons.

This paper aims to analyze the impact of body dissatisfaction on communication competencies among engineering college students and to put forth remedial strategies. As body dissatisfaction is still a grey area in research-related communication competencies, the researchers have focused on this arena. Sixty-one heterogeneous participants (male=30 and female=31) from one of the private engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu, India, participated during the summer semester. The judgment under the non-probability sampling technique was used. Moreover, rubrics were developed with four parameters: color complex, consciousness over their physique, shame and guilt, self-blaming, and lamentation. In addition, class observation techniques were used based on the aforementioned rubrics; the students accessed their classroom presentation using an evaluation sheet derived from the rubrics. The result revealed that around 70% of the participants suffered from body dissatisfaction, while the degree ranges from minimum to maximum levels. This hampers their effective communication and self-expression. With a holistic approach that combines mental health support, awareness-building workshops, peer mentorship, and communication skills training, the participants are mitigated by the impact of body dissatisfaction on communication within the student cohort.

Among athletes, nutrition plays a key role, supporting training, performance, and post-exercise recovery. Research has primarily focused on the effects of diet in support of an athletic physique; however, the role played by intestinal microbiota has been much neglected. Emerging evidence has shown an association between the intestinal microbiota composition and physical activity, suggesting that modifications in the gut microbiota composition may contribute to physical performance of the host. Probiotics represent a potential means for beneficially influencing the gut microbiota composition/function but can also impact the overall health of the host. In this review, we provide an overview of the existing studies that have examined the reciprocal interactions between physical activity and gut microbiota. We further evaluate the clinical evidence that supports the effects of probiotics on physical performance, post-exercise recovery, and cognitive outcomes among athletes. In addition, we discuss the mechanisms of action through which probiotics affect exercise outcomes. In summary, beneficial microbes, including probiotics, may promote health in athletes and enhance physical performance and exercise capacity. Furthermore, high-quality clinical studies, with adequate power, remain necessary to uncover the roles that are played by gut microbiota populations and probiotics in physical performance and the modes of action behind their potential benefits.

The value orientation and mental health education of contemporary college students is an important link for colleges and universities to implement the fundamental task of Building Morality and cultivating people. In order to understand the value orientation and mental health status of college students and put forward corresponding countermeasures, this paper uses the traditional Chinese medicine system scale and map personality test to carry out a questionnaire survey on Shandong universities such as Shandong University, Shandong Normal University and Shandong University of traditional Chinese medicine to explore the correlation between traditional Chinese medicine constitution and mental quality. The results show that in addition to the peaceful quality, the top three in the biased constitution types are damp heat quality, Qi deficiency quality and yang deficiency quality. Most of them are not sociable, less Qi and lazy words, and irritable, which is related to the inherent factors of College Students' physique and the loss of support after the day. From the perspective of TCM Constitution, this paper analyzes the value orientation and mental health status of contemporary college students, and applies TCM constitution theory to college students' value orientation and mental health education, so as to promote the innovative development of psychological intervention in Colleges and universities.

In this paper, we proposed a distributed controlled gait rehabilitation and locomotion support system through human-robot cooperative control, and combination of two cane-type walking support robots (left and right) and one wheelchair robot to support the walking and locomotion of a person in need of walking assistance. The proposed system can realize five types of motion support from gait training to daily motion support, using three types of motion support modes with a distributed robot control system comprising up to three robots to support the user’s independence for walking and moving. The cane-type walking support robot moved in response to the manipulation force applied to the robot by the user, and can realize walking/movement support in all directions through the omnidirectional traveling part. In addition, the height of the robot can be adjusted according to the user’s physique, and the motion characteristics can be set according to the user’s walking ability. The wheelchair robot has a seat that can be raised, lowered, and tilted to provide standing assistance for the user and mobility support as an electric wheelchair. In this study, we developed a prototype of the proposed system and demonstrated its feasibility for five types of assistive actions in experiments with healthy subjects.

Dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) after percutaneous coronary intervention has become the standard of care, particularly in patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS). Current clinical guidelines recommend novel P2Y12 inhibitors (e.g., prasugrel or ticagrelor) in addition to aspirin based on the results of representative randomized controlled trials conducted predominantly in Western countries. These agents were superior to clopidogrel in reducing the composite ischemic events, with a trade-off of the increased bleeding events. However, multiple differences exist between East Asian and Western patients, especially with respect to their physique, thrombogenicity, hemorrhagic diathesis, and on-treatment platelet reactivity. Recent studies from East Asian countries (e.g., Japan or South Korea) have consistently demonstrated that use of novel P2Y12 inhibitors is associated with a higher risk of bleeding events than use of clopidogrel, despite borderline statistical difference in the incidence of composite ischemic events. Additionally, multiple studies have shown that the optimal duration of DAPT may be shorter in East Asian than Western patients. This review summarizes clinical studies of antithrombotic strategies in East Asian patients with ACS. Understanding these differences in antithrombotic strategies including DAPT and their impacts on clinical outcomes will aid in selection of the optimal tailored antithrombotic therapy for patients with ACS.

Although the detection of plastic pollution at sea began a few decades ago in the subtropical ocean gyres, regions far from any land, we now know that floating plastic debris is ubiquitous in all ocean basins, ecosystems, habitats, and food webs, including in our food and sea salt. In addition to work to better understand contamination, the scope of investigation has broadened to include issues of sources, fate, and pathways in the physical and dynamic environment of the ocean, with a Focus on answering a fundamental and persistent question: why does plastic accumulate in certain regions of the oceans?

Packaging of food products using edible films plays an important role in protecting foodstuffs from microbial contamination and improving the quality of foodstuffs during storage. The addition of chitosan as an antibacterial with the aim of inhibiting pathogenic microbes that cause food contamination. This study aims to study the effect of increasing the volume of chitosan and glycerol on the characteristics of edible films. In this study, an edible film made from cassava starch-chitosan was made with various compositions of 5:5, 6:4, 7:3, 8:2 and 10:0 using the plasticizer glycerol 1; 1,2; 1.5; 1.7; and 2 ml. Furthermore, the characterization of the edible film was carried out including thickness test, water resistance test, ALT microbial test, FTIR test, and application to carrots to determine the shelf life. Edible film with a composition of 5:5 with a glycerol volume of 1 ml showed the best results, which had a thickness of 0.095 mm, water resistance 60.91%, and the number of colonies was 215 cfu/ml. In the application of edible film, carrots have a shelf life of 5 days, carrots coated with edible film still have good physique. Meanwhile, carrots that are not coated with edible film have fungal growth.

Les liants (ou adjuvants de pressage) sont des additifs généralement dépourvus de valeur alimentaire qui sont incorporées à faible taux (0,5 à 2,5 %) dans les aliments composés dans le seul but d’augmenter le rendement des presses et la cohésion des granulés. Ces substances peuvent être d’origine organique ou minérale. Parmi les substances organiques, les lignosulfites sont des sous-produits de l’industrie papetière. Les substances minérales appartiennent essentiellement à la famille des argiles. D’autres additifs tels que les polysaccharides peuvent être utilisés dans l’élaboration des aliments pour les animaux aquatiques.
Il existe des tests de laboratoire susceptibles d’évaluer l’aptitude liante ou lubrifiante de ces adjuvants de pressage, en fonction principalement de l’humidité et du type de matière première. Les essais à échelle pilote montrent généralement une influence positive de l’addition des lignosulfites sur les propriétés mécaniques des agglomérés et une tendance à une réduction de l’énergie consommée par la presse dans le cas de mélanges riches en céréales (et en amidon). L’effet des substances minérales est assez variable en regard des conditions de pressage. A échelle industrielle, les petites différences observées peuvent être masquées par les variations aléatoires liées aux essais en usine.
Les adjuvants de pressage n’ont pas de valeur nutritionnelle en soi. Les lignosulfites et autres composés organiques peuvent faire exception en raison de leur teneur - bien que limitée - en sucres simples. Les liants minéraux sont considérés usuellement comme des diluants de la ration. Les effets indirects constatés sur l’indice de consommation peuvent être dûs à une augmentation de dureté des granulés. Un effet de tannage des protéines de l’aliment est possible avec les lignosulfites. Cependant, la structure et le comportement physique des argiles (bentonite, sépiolite) peuvent expliquer certains effets sur la digestibilité de l’énergie chez le monogastrique, par une modification de la rétention d’eau et de la durée de transit dans l’intestin de l’animal, et sur l’utilisation de l’azote chez le ruminant.

Le changement climatique exige une remise en question des pratiques d’urbanisation. Les environnements urbains influencent la relation des résidents avec les espaces extérieurs et intérieurs, avec des conséquences sur la consommation d’énergie et les rejets de chaleur à l’intérieur de ses limites. Les avantages de l’éclaircissement des revêtements de sol des espaces publics pour réduire les îlots de chaleur urbains ont été confirmés par la littérature scientifique, mais les effets de rebond en termes d’augmentation de la sensation thermique extérieure (OTS) doivent encore être analysés par des expériences empiriques. Cette étude présente les résultats d’une expérience participative de confort thermique impliquant 75 volontaires exprimant des votes de sensation thermique (TSV) à l’aveugle sur des revêtements de surface de différentes réflectivités. Chaque TSV était lié aux caractéristiques physiques et psychologiques du sujet, à son emplacement et aux conditions microclimatiques au moment du vote. 714 chaînes de données collectées lors de la canicule d’août 2022 ont été traitées par des méthodes d’intelligence artificielle (IA) successives : apprentissage supervisé, explications additives de Shapley, réduction de dimension par approximation et projection uniforme de la variété (UMAP), et regroupement hiérarchique basé sur la densité des applications avec bruit (HDBSCAN). Ce post-traitement a permis de définir des clusters caractérisés par une répartition similaire des 10 variables les plus influentes sur le TSV, résultant en des valeurs TSV similaires. Les calculs d’IA et l’analyse des graphiques sur DesignExplorer ont montré que les pavés réfléchissants aggravent le stress thermique des personnes. Ces résultats montrent que l’éclaircissement des espaces publics, souvent employé dans de nombreux réaménagements urbains, n’est pas une solution adaptée pour protéger les citoyens des risques sanitaires du changement climatique.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationships between social physique anxiety, self-esteem and loneliness level between university students. Six hundred twenty nine female and seven hundred fifty six male university students from the Department of Economies and Administrative Sciences, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Health Sciences, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Sciences, Faculty of Letters, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Theology, Faculty of Communication, Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Architecture, Faculty of Forestry and Tourism and Hotel Management Program of Vocational School in Karadeniz Technical University were participated in the study.The Personal Information Form, Social Physique Anxiety Scale. Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale and UCLA Loneliness Scale were administered to participants. Data were analyzed by the program called SSPS 16.0. For analysis, techniques of descriptive statistics, arithmetic mean, mode, standard deviation and percentage were used. In addition, t-tests and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) for independent groups were applied. Examining the source of the differences, Turkey’s lest was additionally conducted. Correlation and regression analysis measurements were performed to specify the relationships between dependent variables.The study revealed that social appearance anxiety is low between university students as the social physique anxiety scale offers. However, significant differences were detected in comparisons between social appearance anxiety levels and gender, family structure, places they spend most of the time, weight and height satisfaction, and wearing luxury brands variables. It was found that there are not significant differences between social appearance anxiety levels, and the monthly expenses and wearing luxury brands. It was also found that there are not significant differences between Rosenberg self-esteem scale results and gender, the places they spend most of the time and monthly expenses. However, there is a significant difference betweentheir loneliness level and gender, the places they spend most of the time and monthly expenses. When examined, there is a negative relationship between social appearance anxiety and self-esteem whilst there is a positive relationship between social appearance anxiety and loneliness. Additionally, there is a negative relationship between self-esteem and loneliness. ÖzetBu araştırmanın temel amacı, üniversite öğrencilerinin sosyal görünüş kaygıları ile benlik saygıları ve yalnızlık düzeyleri arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesidir. Tarama modelindeki bu araştırmaya 2013-2014 Eğitim Öğretim Yılında Karadeniz Teknik Üniversitesi İktisadi ve İdari Bilimler Fakültesi, Mühendislik Fakültesi, Eğitim Fakültesi, Sağlık Bilimleri Fakültesi, Hukuk Fakültesi, Fen Fakültesi, Edebiyat Fakültesi Tıp Fakültesi, İlahiyat Fakültesi, İletişim Fakültesi, Diş Hekimliği Fakültesi, Eczacılık Fakültesi, Mimarlık Fakültesi, Orman Fakültesi ve Turizm Otelcilik Meslek Yüksek Okulu’ nda öğrenim gören toplam 1386 (629 kadın, 756 erkek) öğrenci katılmıştır.Araştırmada veri toplama araçları olarak; “Kişisel Bilgi Formu”, “Sosyal Görünüş Kaygısı Ölçeği”, “Rosenberg Benlik Saygısı Ölçeği” ve “Ucla Yalnızlık Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde SSPS 16.0 paket programından yararlanılmıştır.Verilerin analizinde betimsel istatistiklerden; yüzde, frekans,aritmetik ortalama ve standart sapma teknikleri kullanılmıştır. Ayrıca araştırmada bağımsız gruplar için t-Testi, bağımsız gruplar için tek yönlü varyans analizi (ANOVA)ve farkın kaynağına bakmak amacıyla da Tukey testine başvurulmuştur. Bağımlı değişkenler arasındaki ilişkileri belirlemek için korelasyon ve regresyon analizleri yapılmıştır.Araştırmada üniversite öğrencilerinin, sosyal görünüş kaygısı ölçeğinden elde ettikleri ortalamalar açısından sosyal görünüş kaygı düzeylerinin düşük olduğu bulunmuştur. Bunun yanında öğrencilerin sosyal görünüş kaygısı puanlarıyla; cinsiyet, aile yapısı, hayatının önemli bir kısmını geçirdiği yer, kilosundan memnun olma durumu, boyundan memnun olma durumu ve marka giyinme değişkenleri açısından yapılan karşılaştırmalarda ise anlamlı bir farklılık tespit edilmiştir. Sosyal görünüş kaygısı puanlarıyla; bireysel olarak aylık harcanan para ve marka giyinme değişkenine göre anlamlı bir farklılık göstermediği bulunmuştur.
