Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe research object was the representations of psychologists about the difficulties of psychological counseling. The research subject was the content of representations about the difficulties of psychological counseling among practicing psychologists and students of psychological training areas. The master’s thesis consists of an introduction, two chapters, a conclusion, a list of references (80 sources), and an appendix, which includes forms of the applied techniques. The master’s thesis volume is 140 pages, which contain 11 figures and 47 tables. The introduction reveals the relevance of the research problem, the degree of development of the problem, sets the goal and objectives of the research, defines the research object and subject, formulates the main and additional hypotheses, specifies the methods and empirical base, as well as the research stages, scientific novelty, the theoretical and practical significance of the work. The first chapter includes a review of foreign and domestic literature on the subject of the difficulties of psychological counseling. The sections devoted to the peculiar features of the client and the characteristics of the consultant are presented. The conclusions of the first chapter represent the results of the research of the theoretical material. The second chapter is devoted to the research empirical part. It contains the description of the organization and methods of the conducted research and the results obtained by all the techniques used: the method of interviewing experts; the method of semantic differential; the method of unfinished sentences; the method of self-assessment of emotional and personal well-being by L.V. Karapetyan, G.A. Glotova; the method for diagnosing emotional intelligence by N. Hall; the method of diagnosis of the level of subjective control by E.F. Bazhin, E.A. Golynkina, L.M. Etkind. The chapter presents a descriptive, comparative, and correlation analysis of the research results, as well as a content analysis of the research results under the method of unfinished sentences and the Fisher angular transformation. The conclusion summarizes the results of the research theoretical and empirical parts, as well as the findings on the hypotheses put forward.

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis study analyses the different points of view that lead to a better understanding of international public policies addressing climate change mitigation in the beginning of the XXIth century. In a truly worrying context according to current scientific data, it questions the international community’s ability to act upon the current environment crisis. Many studies and policies about climate change are focusing on the ability to adapt to climate change; but it is important to know how policies that mitigate the climate change still remain legitimate and gather interest. Based on a large number of research publications and national or international public reports, this bibliographic study produces a review of the international management of the current environment crisis; an evaluation of the most important issues it reveals for the next decades about our society’s models (political, economic, social, ethical...); an assessment of the difficulties it creates for international negotiations (threats to national sovereignties, protection of specific interests, roles sharing between various stakeholders, organization and logistics of complicated means...); and finally an analysis of the different outlooks for the next decades depending on the international community’s level of action in the near term (magnitude of temperature warming and its consequences, associated political and economic models, form and extent of international cooperation...). First, this study addresses the climate change process itself and its context within the evolution of our contemporary society (Part I). Second, it exposes the great difficulties facing today’s politicians to tackle the environmental crisis (Part II). Then, it analyses the systematic inability of the global economic model to assume by itself the full responsibility of climate change mitigation (Part III). Finally, this study presents a number of considerations regarding the need to establish an equitable and sustainable economic development at the global scale (Part IV)

The purpose of this thesis aims to document the implementation of the two last action plans against global warming, prepared by the Governement of Québec, namely Le Québec et les changements climatiques : un défi pour l’avenir. Plan d’action 2006-2012, and Le Québec en action. Vert 2020. Plan d’action 2013-2020 sur les changements climatiques. At the junction between the analysis of public action (Matland, 1995 ; Kübler et Maillard, 2009) and the theoretical framework of the ecological modernization and its tradition of the public policies sociology (Béal, 2016), this thesis tries to answer two questions : how is the implementation carried out and why are there successes and difficulties to this adoption? Québec gets its foot in a low-carbon society, through the wind and hydroelectric energy tandem. However, fighting against climate change represents a major challenge, which Québec has accepted with an ambitious target. The PACC 2006-2012 got some basis implemented, but there remains a lot to do and outcomes remain unknown : will the PACC 2013-2020 achieve its greenhouse gas emissions reduction target of 20 % below the line of 1990 (Gouvernement du Québec, 2012a, p. I) ? At march 31, 2016, one notes the under-implementation of the PACC 2013-2020, since 22 % only of the planned budget had already been spent (MDDELCC, 2017a, p. 46). Greenhouse gas emissions reduction and climate change adaptation are lagging behind projections. The thesis fits into the theoretical framework of the ecological modernization (Huber, 1982 ; Spaargaren et Mol, 1992 ; Hajer, 1995 ; Jänicke, 1995 ; Mol, 2003 ; Christoff, 2009 ; Spaargaren et al., 2009 ; Toke, 2011), which many people present as the sociological version of the sustainable development project, focused on state and industrial actors, then the civil society (Buttel, 2003). Moreover, source of analytical and comprehensive wealth, which escapes from quantitative studies, the preferred method is semi-directive interviews (Fortin, 2013) with the supervisors of the two PACC, public authorities for the greater part, as well as content analysis (Leray, 2008) for data treatment. But the obvious limitations of the indicators and the qualitative method involve a partial validation of the hypotheses. Otherwise, the ecological modernization thesis takes place in a long-term perspective and requires time for an empirical testing (Guay, 2018)...

The competition in the airline industry has become intense due to the successful operation of Taiwan High Speed Rail and the rise of oil price. People generally regard service quality as the most important element in the airline business. Along with the developments, clients set higher standards in service quality. Some clients are labeled as “awkward clients” because they set too high standards in guarding their own rights and fighting for their interests; inevitably, some awkward situations and unreasonable expectations are hence generated. The existing SOPs (standard operation procedures) in the domestic airline industry list the guidelines of the compensation scheme rather than explicitly informing the front line service providers how to handle the awkward clients. Therefore, this research selected the senior managers with abundant experiences in airline business and summarized the three toughest situations which cast negative impacts on the operations of the airliners through in-depth interviews and content analysis. Further, the focus groups formed by the front line senior supervisors and frequent flyers were interviewed to discuss the three clients-complain situations. The research will figure out the best strategies when facing the similar situations and later to develop compliable standards for the first line service providers at the airline business. The research investigates the process and challenge of psychological service between junior high school teacher-counselor and involuntary clients. By qualitative researching way, the theory is basic on grounded theory as the researching way to do systematic research. After collecting the data of interview, analyze the data and it will show the situation of psychological service between junior high school teacher-counselor and involuntary clients. The result of the research: A. It’s about 80% to 100% of clients are involuntary clients, with the definition of the research. B. The reason why involuntary clients transfer to counselor’s room: Dropouts, gender issue, gender equality, worst behavior, domestic violence, child and youth protection, bad relationship, crime, self-wounding. C. The frustration and obstacle of investigate involuntary clients 1. Weak background of skill and concept training of psychological service. 2. Clients keep silent, refuse and don’t coordinate make interviewee frustrated. 3. The contact with other investigating resources influences the process. 4. The changing of clients situation is hard to evaluate it is a volunteer or not. 5. The theory influences the process. 6. The domestic teachers’ expect to teacher-counselor. The advice: A. Strengthen the teacher-counselors’ skills to involuntary clients B. Implement involuntary clients’ 3-level counseling division, and take systematic work concept into the routine. C. Increase general teachs’ knowledge and ability, and teacher-counselor special knowledge and ability. D. Decrease the double relationship influence to the work.

The purposes of the research are to explore the difficulties the telephone counselors experienced, the coping strategies the counselors used and effectively coping strategies the counselors and the supervisors rated when difficult clients called. By using qualitative research methods and depth–interviews, the researcher interviewed five participants who had answered a difficult phone in seven days. All the verbatim of five interviews and five telephone counseling records were analyses and induced. The results of this study are the followings: A.The difficulties that the telephone counselors met and the factors caused the difficulties 1.The difficulties that the participants met: including the difficulties of “Standardized Procedures for Counseling,” the difficulties of “Intervention Strategies,” and the difficulties of “Hard to Focus.” 2.The factors that caused the difficulties: including the factors of clients, the factors of interaction, the factors of telephone counselors and the factors of system. B.The coping strategies that the telephone counselors used when the difficult clients called. 1.Coping strategies: including the strategies of advance counseling progress, the strategies of emotion intervention, the strategies of guide clients to perceive and clarify their wrong cognition, the strategies of enrich the contents of case, the strategies of structured, the strategies of empower, and the strategies of telephone counselors self-care. 2.Analysis across difficulties and coping strategies: when telephone counselors experienced difficulties, the coping strategies they use most is empathy and the skills of collecting information of the case. C.The effective coping strategies of difficult clients 1.The comparison of the views of the supervisors and the counselors. Both they agreed: empathy, the skills of collecting information of the case, the skills of maintenance of security, the skills of set up the rules of counseling, and the skills of providing the new cognition were be useful for coping with the difficult calls. 2.The difference of the supervisors and the counselors: the supervisors valued use basic counseling skills and the skills that advanced telephone counselors and clients have good interaction, for example focusing on here and now, confrontation, caring and supporting, provide positive feedback and protect privacy. The telephone counselors valued use goal-oriented skills that including the skills of invite, make sure the authority of speak in counseling, the skills of cognition process and clarify wrong cognition. 3.According to analyze across the verbatim there were four affects about effective coping strategies: including break away the difficulties, trigger the deeper disclosure, trigger another difficulties, and the effect of compound skills.

The purpose of this research was to explore how child counseling psychologists cope with difficult clients and take care of themselves. The grounded theory which followed the constructivism paradigm was adopted in the study. Data were collected by semi-structured individual in-depth interviews. Twelve experienced counseling psychologists (10 females and 2 males, age 40-59, mean age = 45.7) voluntarily participated in the study, with mean counseling experience of 18.8 years, and mean child and adolescent counseling experience 11.8 years. The findings indicated that the difficulties working with child and adolescent clients were resulted from: (1) clients’ characteristics, (2) clients’ ecosystem and environment, (3) “reality” restrictions from the organizations and systems, (4) clients with severe physical illness, and (5) countertransference issues triggered by the clients. The effective coping strategies were: (1) to receive continuing education, (2) to create an introspective thinking space, and (3) to select and adopt useful intervening strategies flexibly. A common factor of these coping strategies was to face challenges with a positive and flexible attitude. Two major approaches of experienced counseling psychologists were applied to comfort their bodies and souls: (1) life philosophy, and (2) religion or spirituality. The research also found that a psychologist’s clinical difficulties and his/her body and soul’s comforting experiences were connected with and affected by his/her transition in personal life and counseling profession. The detailed results and suggestions for further research and practice were discussed.
